A few minutes ago on one O seven five of
the River that this is an anniversary day for him.
It's a year anniversary from something big in his life.
I tried to guess, and I was trying to rack
my brain on what this could be, because it's not
your wedding anniversary. It's not the anniversary of when you
started on the show. On one of seven five of
the River, It's it's not any of those things.

What is it.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
It was my surgery, my my partial thyroid ectomy that
I had. I had my thyroid cancer removed one year
ago today, and I cannot believe it's been a year.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I feel like so much has happened and nothing has
happened at the same time.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Wow, that's a trippy thought, Like.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
I really time.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
If we had talking about time, we're gonna trip everybody out.

But that's a big deal.

Yeah, man, it was scary for me at the time.

I just, you know, I wanted to take a second
to just shout out all the folks at Vandy again
for making it so easy. Yeah, it was scary, but
I you know, it couldn't have gone better, couldn't have
gone easy. I just ran a half marathon last month,
Like you know, I'm great.

It was easy.

I thought I was hilarious with those meds. That's my
one big takeaway from surgery day.

And really the takeaway also just to counter blessings and
enjoy each day, you know, because you never know what's
going to happen. That was sort of a shocking diagnosis.
Thankfully it was easy to uh to knock out. But
you know, I did take away a more I'd like
to think positive outlook on the world. So yeah, I
know there's a lot of bad out there, but count
your blessings and appreciate what you have.

Sure, we're so happy that you're healthy and you're happy

rough time. I can't believe it was a year ago.

Professional alpine ski racer Lindsay Vaughn has finally spoken out after.

Her recent crash.

She crashed on Sunday during her Olympic run, when just
a little over a week prior to that, she had
ruptured her acl in a different crash, and whether she
was going to be at the Olympics and take part
in the Olympics was up in the air, but she
was determined to still be a part of it. Her
most recent crash at the Olympics has led to a
complex tibia fracture, which is described by professionals as a

traumatic injury involving multiple breaks in a bone and damage
soft tissue. She posted to Instagram about her experience yesterday
and it's it's a tough read because you just know
how hard this has to be.

You know what these Olympians are of, what these Olympians.

Go through in order to prepare for the biggest stage
in the world. She said, in part, quote my Olympic
dream did not finish the way I dreamt it would,
which that alone made me want to sob But she
continued by urging people to have the courage to follow
their dreams by saying, quote, life is too short not
to take chances on yourself, because the only failure in

this entire experience.
