Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hay Friday, friends, thank you so much for starting it
with us. We made it. Let's go. Ricky Sanchez has
those three things.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
As of today, there are still people in Nashville without power.
They have been working on it very hard. Anys tally
that I just checked is over six hundred customers without power,
so they're getting there. There are some people who still
will not have power until the ninth of February, so
they still have a few more days. But please keep
(00:30):
checking up on your neighbors who don't have power. Please
follow at one oh seven five the River on Instagram.
We are very diligent about posting as many things as
we possibly can of places where you can get free
food if you don't have power, places where you can
go for warming stations, shelters, all of those things. It's
still really cold, so you want to stay warm, use
(00:52):
the services that you have available to you, because it's
important that you take care of yourself. Mariah Carey will
perform at the Olympics opening ceremony. It starts tonight. Tonight
is the opening ceremony. Not only is Mariah care going
to perform, but there's also going to be something happening
for the very first time tonight, two Olympic cauldrons will
(01:12):
be lit simultaneously in Milan and Courtina, which is supposed
to be a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci. But this
is the first time that there will be two. Typically
there are not two in different places that are being
lit at the same time. So that's pretty cool too.
So you could watch the opening ceremony tonight and Chipotle
is handing out a million dollars worth of free entres
(01:35):
during the Super Bowl. So you just need to watch
Instagram after the halftime and before the third quarter because
that's when Chipotle is gonna post an Instagram reel called
the Chipotle Realist thirty. So in the video, there's gonna
be a text acclaimed code and the first one hundred
thousand people to text the code to eight eight eight
to two two is gonna get a free entrie. It's
(01:56):
gonna be valid until February twelfth. So deaf, make sure
that you're watching Chipotle, make sure that you try and
get in as quick as you can, because who doesn't
love a freebie?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Right Chipotle? Man? I love Chipotle.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I always say if it's free, it's for me. I'm Sanchez,
and those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Thank you very much, Ricky. Something else that's free. These
Charlie Pooth tickets that we've had all week for the
first caller of the day. We've got them again today.
Start your Friday with a wind within ten minutes for
your chance to get her. Here's Beaver on the river.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
On It's Tricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on
one O seven five the River. It is also finally
Friday feels good. We got our friends Sylvia and Smyrna
on the line. Good morning, Sylvia, Hi, how you doing
this morning? Are you excited for the weekend? Very much so,
very needed Syvia.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
You sound sleepy. You sound like you're still under the
covers or something.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Oh not at all.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
I'm on my way to work. Okay, good wake up.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I wish I would.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Was it tough for you to get out of the
covers this morning, because it was tough for me. I
was almost late. It's cold. I can't handle this like
back and forth. We get one day of kind of
warm and then it's cold. But yeah, it's just more
of a reason to stay in bed. Since we're talking
about this, Sylvia, I have a question for you, because
we talked about this on the air the other day.
Do you think it's acceptable to cancel plans because it's
(03:18):
cold outside? Absolutely, there's no reason, like you don't.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
You don't have to have an excuse to cancel planned.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
That's actually so solid.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
I mean yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Like the honesty. I like the honesty, and I would
rather you just tell me that you don't want to
come than make up some random excuse. You know, Kevin
has his classic excuse, which is my kids. I got
to stay home with the kids.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Why I had kids?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Hey, that's a perfect every time. Sylvia, you are the
first caller of the day this morning. I'm very excited
for you. You're getting tickets to see Charlie Pooth. Thank you,
You're welcome. Congratulations.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
What a great way to start my right, Yeah, for sure.
The show is June ninth to send Ampitheater. The tickets
are yours. But if you decide not to go at
the last minute, whatever, it's just don't worry about it.
Yolo yolo on.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
The Kids right, Yes, you have it on.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
My Kids seven five. Every Friday we run down, you know,
a list of events, cool things happening in and around town.
Zach normally does that. He is out today, So Ricky's
got you. If you're looking for something to do this weekend.
What's going on, Ricky?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
The Olympics opening ceremony is happening tonight and there is
a watch party happening at Chapstick if you want to
go hang out with a bunch of people and watch
it together. Starts at seven pm. I would suggest getting
there early so you can get yourself a nice spot
so you can feel cozy and comfy. I'm always that
kind of person. If I'm going out for something big
like this, I'm like, I gotta go early to get
(04:52):
my spot. You know, I want the pick of the litter.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
That's interesting because I've never known you to get anywhere early.
But I'll take your word only.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
When it comes to this National ice Cream for Breakfast
Day is happening tomorrow and to celebrate, I feel like
I'm gonna butcher this guys, And I'm so sorry for
everybody in Smyrna who goes to this ice cream shop
and is gonna probably get upset with me. But Janardes
ice Cream Shop Uh, Jannartes and gluten Free Goose are
teaming up for a fun celebration, so it's gonna kick
(05:18):
off at eight am. Pajamas are encouraged, lots of fun treats,
and the first twenty people in line are gonna get
exclusive merch. I am a big fan of gluten Free Goose.
I'm gluten free and they have the most phenomenal desserts.
Best bakery in town if you're gluten free, So if
you're gonna be around, go check that out. Fun thing
to do with the family if you're in the mood
to party, though, Federal Is is doing in a prey
(05:40):
ski themed party tomorrow from one to four at their
location in the Gulch. It's ten dollars to get in.
There's gonna be a DJ, shot skis and an ice luge. Obviously,
this totally goes hand in hand with the Winter Olympics
and it makes sense. So that's for the people who
want to party tomorrow. UH six p one five Indie
Live is happening tomorrow as well, so there's gonna be
a bunch of local bands and artists playing across the
(06:02):
Nashville's music venues, including spots like The End, Dark Matter,
the five Spot, and more so. The full schedule and
tickets are found at six one five Indie dot Live.
You can get your tickets. I believe they're only twenty
dollars and you can bounce around, go to different places,
check out some bands. Support the local places here in
Nashville that really need it right now too, So that's
(06:24):
super cool. And on Sunday, the Music City Puppy Bowl
is happening at the Nashville Zoo, so adoptable puppies from
the Nashville Humane are all going to be on the
field for their big game. Whether you're looking to adopt
or not, this is a cute event. Take your family.
It comes with the admission to the Zoo. It's happening
from ten am to two pm, which I love.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
That's so cool. How much money would you pay to go,
like lay on the field and let the puppies.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Jump out, Kevin, I want to say, probably, like an
astronomical amount of money, a stupid amount of money. And
of course the Super Bowl is this Sunday where the
Seattle Seahawks are going to play against New England Patriots
at five thirty pm Our time. Halftime show is bad, Bunny,
It's Benito. I've beneatho. I'm so excited. There's gonna be
so many bars and restaurants across Nashville that are going
(07:10):
to be playing the game. So make sure that you
support local. Local needs our support right now, especially after
the storm that just came through. So if you have
a local bar that you see is gonna be playing
the game and you're like, you know what, I'm not
doing anything, might as well go support, Go do it.
Three things you need to know, Yes.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yes, yes, here we got just after seven o'clock on
this Friday morning, Happy Friday. Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Taylor Swift's new music video for Opallite just came out.
She posted a countdown on her website to the official
opal Lite music video announcement when it would finally be here,
and it is finally here now. This is the second
visual that has been unveiled from her album The Life
of a Showgirl. The first video that we got was
for her lead single, The Fate of Ophelia. During Taylor
(07:52):
swift The official release party of a Showgirl in movie theaters,
they premiered that video for everybody, but all the other
songs had lyric videos attached to them, so this is
the first time that we're going to see the official
opal Lite music video. Obviously, I have to wait to
watch until I'm done with the three things you need
to know, but you can watch it now at Taylorswift
(08:12):
dot com. I'll be a little sad if you don't
wait until I'm done with everything else I have to say.
But right now I know I see Kevin not paying
attention to me. That's why I brought it up. Lawmakers
are pushing to increase minimum wage to twenty dollars here
in Tennessee. This bill was introduced back in twenty twenty
five and it's now going to be discussed during this
year's legislative session. To give you some perspective, the current
(08:35):
minimum wage here in Tennessee is seven to twenty five,
so this would be a massive boost. We're gonna see
where this goes, and as always, I will keep you
updated on that. Consumer Reports has just released their picks
for the best cars of the year across multiple categories.
The Honda Civic has won for best small Car, Toyota
Camera one for best mid sized Car, Best small pickup Truck,
(08:57):
goes to Ford Maverick. This year's best subco impact suv
is the super Cross Track uh super Forrester one for
best compact suv, and the best electric vehicle is a
Tesla Model. Why. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the
three things you need to know. I went through really
fast because I want to watch this video.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
That was very fast. That was record time, Ricky, thank
you for that. I was just watching a little bit
of the video. It's got like eighties vibes in the
set in the mall. It's really cool. You're gonna tell me.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I'm gonna watch myself.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
I apologize. Let's play the song. Let's play Opal Eye.
The video is out now, Ricky's gonna go watch it.
It's Taylor. We do have a fact for you, Zax
Facts presented by Wa Kevin Mano. Next on the River.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Class is in Sessions Zax Fact on one River.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Okay, So super Bowl sixty is happening this weekend. Sixty
is stylized as l X in Roman numeral secrecy that
all over the place. Uh, they always use Roman numerals
in the Super Bowl logo, except for Super Bowl fifty.
Ten years ago. The NFL thought super Bowl L would
look a little weird. They honestly spent years working on
a logo leading up to it. They went through seventy
(10:02):
three versions of it wow, and they decided that, yeah,
that ELLE just looks stupid, so they went with the
number fifty. Super Bowl fifty.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Well L, especially when you're talking about sports, is a loss.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, super Bowl EL.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
So it's kind of like bad juju already that you're
giving it.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
You wouldn't want to tune in for Super Bowl No, No.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
You don't want to be part of a loss.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
No. So outside of that year, it's always Roman numerals.
And that's your fact of the day.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Thanks yep, Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning
on the River?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Were you rooting for in the super Bowl this weekend?
It's one O seven to five the River. Super Bowl
sixty coming up on Sunday, And honestly, I feel like
the majority of the country just doesn't really care about
either of these teams.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
That's not true, but like, if you don't have a
team in the Super Bowl, how do you choose which
one to root for? I know which one I'm rooting for,
and it was very specific for a reason.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I feel like you're you're not necessarily rooting for them,
you're rooting against their opponent. You don't know that, I
kind of do six one. I have seven three, seven
nine seven Patriots or Seahawks. Who are you rooting for?
And why? Why do you care about either of these teams?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Mari and Murphy's Borough. Welcome to one oh seven five
the River. We're talking about the super Bowl. And if
you don't have a team to root for in the
Super Bowl, how you choose which one you're gonna go with?
So who are you rooting for this weekend?
Speaker 5 (11:27):
So I'm definitely rooting for the Patriots. I've never liked
the Patriots because I was always like a against Tom Brady.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
I thought that's a hard Triants fan.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
But I really love Rabel and Rabel as a wonderful coach,
and so that's why I'm pulling for the Patriots. If
you don't know anything about these two teams, I don't
know too much about the Seahawks and I've never really
followed them. But the Patriots have done an amazing year
and turned their season around. So they last year, They're
like four and thirteen. So they have done a very
(12:03):
fantastic year and I'm I'm very excited and I want
to see all the way and.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Answer Laurie, this is impressive.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
You're an ESPN analyst here. This is a really great.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Football I love that. I love that even though I
hate the Patriots and I'm not rooting for them, I
love that you are and that you are so well
versed and that you're really in this. I love that
so much.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
I never thought I would ever go for the Patriots.
Weird night.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
You have fun this weekend?
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Bye?
Speaker 2 (12:39):
That represents growth. You know, it's okay to change.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Good for Laurie, because I'm not growing at all. I
hate the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
You'll always hate the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I'm a Jets fan.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Yeah, I know, it's part.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
It's ingrained in me to despise.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Them as a Bears fan. That's how I feel about
the package.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
And I like Verbel a lot.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I don't know the Rooks on Seahawks this weekend.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yeah, I'm rooting for the Seahawks. Let's see Aiden in
spring Hill. Who are you rooting for this weekend?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah? You gotta, you gotta root for the Patriots of Rabel.
There we go, same.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Reason that Laurie just give all right, I get it.
I like Rabel, I get it. I just hate the
freaking Patriots.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
I am with you on that one. But a great
coach of the Titans.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
A good guy, Uh agreed.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
And I gotta I gotta let them get one.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
So I mean across the board here, everybody hates the Patriots,
but love and so that's I guess that's what we're
going with. Okay, thank you, aiden appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Yeah, thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Appreciate everything you do. Thank you have a great weekend.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Yeah you as well.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Thank you. Bye.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
I didn't have any preference here this weekend at all.
I was gonna watch for bad Bunny.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
To be honest with you, it's o bol in my household.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah, but now everybody's convinced me. Now I'm I'm a
Rabel guy.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Rabel's great. Like I said, I get it. I just
there's nothing that can ever change my mind about the Patriots,
no matter how good the coaches, no matter what happens,
I hate them. I will hate them forever if I
ever root for them. By Dad, we just own me.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on the River.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Kevin is very, very sad because today's the last day
that we are playing Ghost Malone on one O seven
five the River for Kevin Manno's Game of the Day
presented by Genesis Diamonds for these Post Malone tickets at
Nissan Stadium for June thirtieth.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, I mean we did just announce the show. June
is still a ways away, so I'd like to think
that before post Malone is in town, we'll have more
to give away and Ghost Molone can come back.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
You really love this game.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I think it's a fun game. It's basically it's name
that tune. If you're not familiar, if you didn't hear
it all this week, we have our man Ghost Malone
standing by to recite some lyrics from a Post Malone song.
If you can identify the song, call us six one, five, seven, three, seven,
nine one oh seven, tell us what it is. If
you're right, you're going to see Posty. Here we go
one final time, Ghost Malone. Take it away your audio
(14:54):
clue today.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
Maybe you don't understand what I'm go It's old me me,
what you got to lose?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Six I stepped on the boot stepped on the boo?
How dare I step on the boot? Six one five seven,
three seven nine. If you know what song that is?
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the River.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
It is the last day of Ghosts Malone on one
oh seven five of the River. Kevin is absolutely devastated
by this, but it's gonna be the last fun game
of the day for the week, so you can relition
that Kevin was that.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I mean that at all.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Last day for postalone tickets one O seven five of
the River is really what it comes down to. He's
playing Nissan Stadium on June thirtieth. I'm trying to make
you feel better and I don't know how to do it.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
No, it's not working. We're going to say good morning
to Stephanie Murphysboro. Hi, Stephanie, Hi, good morning. What are
you up to this morning? What's your Friday looking like?
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Me and my fiancee are on the way to drop
me off that work?
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Okay, congratulations on the engagement.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Thank you? Are you ready to Ghosts Malone? Did you
listen to the clue that we gave you before we did?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
All?
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Right? Cool, I'm gonna plan it one more time. If
you know the song, you tell us and if you
get it right, you're going to see Posty. Here we
go one final time, Ghost Malone.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
Maybe you don't understand what I'm going through. It's only
me what you got to lose? Boo?
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Excuse me every time with that boo. All right, Stephanie,
name that tune? What post Malone song is that?
Speaker 1 (16:32):
It's circle it is, sir.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Congratulations, Thank you much.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
You've been getting the money all week, so I had
to stry today. Well, congratulations, because you guys are gonna
go see post Malone at Nissan Stadium June thirtieth, because
that man is a fan. Yes, pay off, Yes, thank
you so much, thank you.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Let's hear from the fiance. Let's hear his excitement. Yeah,
I'm freaking out.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
I'm quiet, but I'm freaking out.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
God, let's hear what's her?
Speaker 1 (17:00):
A good scream? Real quick? Let it all out? Who
I love it?
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Well you guys, congratulations and congrats again on the engagement.
Hangout so we can get all your info. Have fun
at the show.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Let's go just after eight o'clock here on this Friday morning.
Very happy, It's Friday. Very happy to have you with us.
Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Bad Bunny did a Super Bowl press conference yesterday and
there are a lot of things from that circulating online.
He obviously talked about his performance during the halftime show.
He was asked a very big question, will he have
surprise guests? This is what he had to say, the
surprises on Sunday? Are you going to do the same thing?
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Well, you have guests on stage this Sunday.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
You know that's something that I'm gonna tell you, don't.
I don't know why you asked that. We had to, man,
we had to No. Well, I have a lot of guests.
It's gonna be my family, my friends, all the Latino
community around the world, the super Man, the whole country.
There's a lot of people that love me around the world.
(18:05):
Is gonna be a huge party. Is gonna be what
people always can expect from me.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
He's gonna make it a huge party. One thing he
also did say is that he just wants everyone to
have fun on Sunday. He wants everyone to dance a
lot during his performance, which totally makes sense if you've
ever listened to any of his music. It's kind of
hard not to dance to it. Even if you don't
know how to like salsa or bashata or anything like that,
you still gotta move, okay. He also got very emotional
(18:32):
when talking about his mother and the impact that she
had on him, just supporting him as a person, not
so much as an artist, but just as a person.
It was a really great press conference. The beneath the Bowl.
I'm sorry. The Super Bowl is happening this Sunday between
the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. You can
watch it Sunday night. Self driving Waymo cars are about
(18:54):
to hit the streets of Nashville. For the last year
or so, Waimo has been mapping the streets of Nashville
for the eventual launch of the self driving cars. So
the vehicles are going to be fully autonomous in a
few days, which means that there's not going to be
anybody behind the wheel, but passengers won't be inside of
them yet. This is like the last step that they
have to do before they can allow passengers inside. No
(19:16):
word on when the public can officially use them just yet,
but it seems that it's going to be very soon,
maybe sooner than we expected. So as of now, there
are only six cities that have Waymo cars available to
use for the public. We're going to be one of
the very few cities.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
That have them.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
We will see how that goes, and I will say
it scares me a little bit, but let's see what happens,
shall we. And lots of people are going to play
hooky on Monday. A new survey says that a record
twenty six point two million Americans are likely to play
hooky from worker school on Monday after the Super Bowl,
most of which are planned ahead of time, so people
(19:51):
have swapped shifts already. People already planned to call out sick.
They haven't said anything to their bosses, but they already
know what their game plan is. The number of people
is up from last year, which is kind of wild.
The survey estimates that the lost productivity could top five
point two billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
We just have to make that Monday a holiday. We
can do it once and for all.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Forty eight percent of American workers support the idea that
Monday should be a national holiday the Monday after Super Bowl.
I'm Richisanchez and those are the three things you need.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
To know for Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning
one time.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
For the leftovers. Ricky Well Zach's not here today. Normally
it's the three of us, but Ricky and I each
get thirty seconds to present a topic something we wanted
to bring to the radio this week and have time for.
That's what we do right now, Ricky, the floor.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
Is yours, all right. Harry Styles fans are doing a
wild thing to try and get concert tickets. It's been
really really hard to get any of the tickets, so
they have resorted to hiring Etsy witches to help them
try to secure these tickets.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
What's an easy witch.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
It's a witch on Etsy. You can hire a witch
on Etsy to do a spell, a little ritual to
make sure that you're gonna get concert tickets. So there
was a record breaking demand for his Together Together tour. Obviously,
no one's shocked by that, so they don't know what
else to do at this point. According to Ticketmaster, eleven
point five million people registered for pre sale two Harry
(21:17):
Styles thirty shows at Madison Square Garden. Eleven point five
million people. That's insane, So I get it. What else
are you gonna do? You hire an Etsy witch?
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Okay, better than nothing, I guess. Tryan mine is also
actually very similar. It's about hiring people.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
There's a new website, a brand new website. It's called
rent a Human dot Ai. Okay, it is where robots.
