Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Well, well, well, well, well, good morning, welcome to a
brand new week.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Thank you for starting it with us over here at
the river.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Ricky Sanchez, good to see you just got the three things.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
So many wells right there. Well, and Nick Jonas is
going viral right now for a video showing what it's
like when a brand rents you clothing. So it's pretty
typical for celebrities to be given clothing from different brands
to wear for big events. So when Nick was on
Jimmy Fallon, who's given a pair of pants to wear
for the event?

Speaker 5 (00:29):
In the pocket, he found a plane ticket.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
When he opened up the plane ticket, turns out it
was for Glenn Powell, which means that he was the
last one, maybe not even the last one to wear
the pants.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
Obviously.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
There were a lot of people commenting on whether or
not the pants were effectively washed, given that, like, obviously
that shouldn't be in the pocket anymore if it was.
Even Glenn did comment saying, quote, they didn't wash these
for you. I feel like the Brotherhood of the Traveling
Pants should incorporate some sort of hygiene pact.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
But some were even.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
More confused on how they can even fit in the
same pants, which very much fits Glenn's reference of the
Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants. To give you an idea,
Nick Jonas is about five to six and Glenn is
six foot, so everyone's a little confused on how this
worked out. We may actually have a pair of pants
that can fit literally anyone, no matter who they are.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
But that video is now going viral.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I'll post it on one of seventy five of the
River's Instagram page in the stories so.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
That you can watch it yourself. A lane closure is.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Planned this week at National International Airport during taxiway maintenance,
so the right hand lane going northbound on Donaldson Pike
will be closed.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
It's gonna be closed daily.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
From nine am to three pm today through Thursday.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Like I said, it's her maintenance.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
So the adjacent taxiway that runs along Donaldson Pike needs
some upgrading, So just keep that in mind because it
can lead to additional traffic in that area, So just
know what you're getting into beforehand. And the Olympic village
accommodations are pretty nice this year. Olympians are experiencing comfortable
beds this time around.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
If you remember, there was a.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Situation with cardboard beds, yeah, the one here. Plenty of
storage space, they got charging out let's galore.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
There's a bidet in every bathroom.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
They have a common area that has a dining hall
serving Italian cuisine, training centers, a recreational zone with foosball,
air hockey.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
A photo booth. They all get ten.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Minute makeup sessions that are available, and every one of
them is going to leave with the Samsung Galaxy Z
flip seven phone, a special edition one. So it looks
like they're pulling out all the stops this year for
the athletes there at the Olympic Village. Obviously, as the
Olympics continue, there's going to plenty of stores coming out
of there.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
Amrichy Sanchez and those are the three things you need
to know.

Speaker 6 (02:45):

whichever way you want to do this, are going to
join us to compete in the Romantic Games. The winning

(03:29):

for these tickets for the first caller of the day
right now on the river.

Speaker 1 (03:41):

Speaker 6 (03:41):

Speaker 5 (03:47):

Speaker 4 (03:49):

part of our Romantic Games, the first ever romantic game.

Speaker 2 (04:07):

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Today doing well?

Speaker 7 (04:13):
I haven't quite started the day yet, but hopefully it's
gonna be a good one.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I think it's gonna be a great day in a
great week because you're starting it as our first contestant
in the romantic Games. You're gonna come into the studio.
I'm just telling you right now, you're the first caller
of the day. Congratulations. So you and a partner, your
significant other, your best friend, whoever, You're gonna come in
and compete against other couples in these games for these
Bruno Mars tickets.

Speaker 7 (04:37):
Oh my goodness, crazy.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
It's gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
What is are we do? You have to know each other?
What's the game?

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yes, so you're gonna pick somebody that you know, so
either your significant other, maybe a best friend, something along
those lines. You guys are going to come in and
as a couple, you're gonna compete against other couples in
these games, these trials of games, and whoever wins.

Speaker 5 (05:01):

Speaker 7 (05:09):
I just have to say, me and my man are
very competitive. It'll get real, yes.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
What yeah, And I'm exactly.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
What we want.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Honestly, I'm glad that you said me and my man
and it's not a best friend because.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
It's gonna be a little You guys are gonna get.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Close there when you're playing these games, Okay, I think
like furry handcuffs and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
It's gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
I promise you guys are going to get competitive and
possibly win. And if you do, like I said, night
out with Burno Mars doesn't sound bad. So you're gonna
have to deal with a little bit of I'm like,
what's the right word. Maybe embarrassment, probably, yes, But it's
gonna be fun.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
All right.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
I'm excited, Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Absolutely we're excited too. I'm gonna put you on hold. Okay,
we gotta get your info real quick.

Speaker 7 (05:52):
Okay, awesome, thank you of course.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Thanks for calling, Devin. So yeah, for the rest of
the week, we're qualifying people. You'll come in if you're
the first caller this week, and you'll compete agains Devin
and her guy for these Bruno Mars tickets his night out.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
With Bruno, a bunch of other people.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Also, I will say, if it is your best friend,
I think that that's fine.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
You're still gonna have fun.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Absolutely, your best year are gonna get closed as long
as you're close.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Yeah, Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on
the River.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I mean, we've already been getting calls this morning, people
just simply asking Ricky off the air what she thought
of the halftime show last night. It's when I was
seven five the River. Zach is out today. It's just
Ricky and myself hanging with you. Thank you for being here,
all right, Ricky, bad Bunny, your guy?

Speaker 5 (06:32):
How do you do so good?

Speaker 4 (06:34):
It was so good, Kevin. I loved every single second
of it. I just stared at the TV with the
biggest smile on my face the entire time that he
was performing. I just truly feel like he did such
an amazing job. He did exactly what he said he
was gonna do, which was bringing people together and make
it a big party in celebration. It was very uplifting,
it was very exciting. It was like a constant go,

(06:55):
go go. There was no moment that I was like, oh,
where is this going? Like it was exactly what he
said it was going to be, and he just did
such a phenomenal job. The one time that I was
absolutely stunned and shocked and surprise was when Lady Gaga,
unexpected just came out of nowhere and started singing, and
I was like, what is going on? I was not

(07:16):
expecting Lady Gaga, although he is a huge Gaga fan,
so it kind of makes sense, but I really I
didn't know who he was gonna bring out. Ricky Martin
then performed as well. He had a lot of people
in the casita. He has a little casita as a
part of the set that he like dances on top
of the roof and everything like that. So all these
people were in there with him, like Pedro Pascal and

(07:37):
Cardi B. Jessica Alba was in there, like a lot
of people just dancing and having fun. He did a
lot of pieces that are very true to Puerto Rico
and the culture in Puerto Rico, and it was just
so good.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I was good.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I'm not even the big Bunny fan that you are.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I mean, I like him and I respect him, but man,
that was an entertaining halftime show that was I mean,
the legitti of it alone were it is nuts. To
settle that stuff up in fifteen minutes is just wild.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
To turn it so.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
One of the craziest parts too, is all of the
brush that you saw, like all the plants and everything.
Were people dressed as plants? Oh, I didn't really because
that was the easiest way for them to get so
many plants and sugar cane out there, Yes, is to
have everybody run out and be the sugar cane.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
So those were people in costume for that, That's why.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
And it wouldn't mess up the field because of all
the things they would have to chuck out.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
So it was just a bunch of people I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Yeah, really cool, lots of like salsa dancing and just
a fun time. Like whether you can speak Spanish or not,
it doesn't really matter when everything is done so well
and so perfectly the way that he did it.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
I feel like everybody had a good time.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Absolutely. I liked that there was a wedding during his.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Performance, real wedding. It was real. The entire thing was
totally real.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
He gets invited to weddings all the time, and I
guess one of the people that he was invited to
their wedding, he actually reversed it, yeah, and invited them
to come to the Super.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
Bowl to get married.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Said I have a better It's so cool.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I also liked, sorry, this is just like a you know,
production point of view now, but when he crashed through
the roof and they cut away to like a pre
tape thing, yeah, that was super cool. I feel like
nobody ever does anything like that. During the halftime show,
it was.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Just so well done.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
And you can tell that he I could go on
and on and on about all of the symbolism and
the pieces that just makes sense for Puerto Rico and
the culture, and that would take another twenty five minutes.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
But he was so intentional.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Every piece was so important and intentional, and it just
brought it all together in such a beautiful, magnificent way.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
I was so happy. I was so excited. I cried
afterwards thinking about it.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
I got like emotional thinking about it because it means
a lot.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
It's a big deal. Obviously, this moment.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Is a big deal, and knowing his his journey to
this point, it was just a really emotional moment.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
I'm glad that you loved it.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
He crushed it, and yes, your review of it was
very important to me, So I'm glad that we.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
I love the people have been calling this morning to
ask me what I think about it.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
It made me so happy.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
A lot of people had you on their mind when
they were watching last week.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
Oh also, I made my detist and paradillas and ol conndules.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
And I killed it. Okay, I did such a good job.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I think I could do better next time, but I
did such a great job on my first time alone.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
So I'm very about it myself.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Proudy for that too. Man, just all good stuff all around. Well,
thank you for starting this Monday morning with us. I
know a lot of people probably call it in sick today.
So if you're up and adam, good for you. We're
here with you.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Three things you need to know, oh.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Big past seven o'clock here on this Monday morning. Thank
you so much for starting your day with us. That
means a lot to us. Ricky's got those three things.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Super Bowl sixty happened yesterday.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
And just in case you were busy, or you'll live
under a rock, or you maybe missed us talking about
it a little bit earlier. Here things some of the
things that you need to know about so you can
have like some combos of people at work.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
So the Seahawks won the Super Bowl with.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
A score of twenty nine to thirteen, beating out the
Patriots in what was I'm sorry, but a very boring game.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Agreed, thank you.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
It was just I'm really excited for the Seahawks, but like,
what a boring game. The Super Bowl MVP went to
Seahawks Kenneth Walker the third, which if you watch, totally
makes sense because even though it was a boring game,
that man worked during that game. Bed Bunny played the
halftime show and absolutely crushed it. If you missed my
little recap a few minutes ago, here are some quick tidbits.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin sang. A bunch of people
showed up to.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Dance and party in La Caasita, which was part of
his stage. So Cardi b was up there, Pedro Pascal,
Alex Earl, which threw me for a loop.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Young Miko. They were all up there.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Some of the people that you could see dancing. It
really was a celebration the entire way through. If you
missed it, you can watch it on YouTube. They do
have the full performance up for you. Mayor Freddie O'Connell
has announced no late fees for water bills. He asked
for specific legislation to state that there cannot be turnoffs
or late fees for February, meaning that if you can't

(11:52):
afford to pay a higher bill due to the fact
that we had to trip our faucets for weeks at
a time, you can pay your normal out now and
catch up later. There will also be two recovery centers
starting today, Hadley and Smith's.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Spring Regional Centers.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
These centers are for food, health and social services, so
that if you need those resources and you're still struggling
with the aftermath of the winter storm, they are there
for you.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
And Lego has really just been churning it out.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
I feel like there's a new set that I get
to tell you about every week at this point. But
they just announced a K Pop Demon Hunter set which
is going to be massive. Pre Orders for the set
will start this spring, with a much larger range that
are expected to follow in.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
This is the latest toy to be revealed for the
K Pop Demon Hunters movie. Obviously massive movie, not just
for kids.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Adults love it too. I thought it was a phenomenal movie.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
I actually listened to Kevin who said, Ricky, I think
you'd like it. Didn't believe him.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Watched it, loved it.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
So now they are just churning out things left and right.
Like I said, there's going to be a lot coming
from Lego that has to do with K pop Demon Hunters.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Need to Thank you, Ricky.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I think the takeaway there was to trust Kevin. That's
the's not That's what I got from that.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
Kevin No Zavier's suggestions are horrific.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
ZAG is out again today, so I'm filling in form
ZAX Facts presented by Kevin Manow. It's a super Bowl
themed fact. Where did that name come from? Super Bowl?
What I'll tell you next.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Down the river.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
Class is in sessions SAX fact on one, Ricky, have
you ever wondered, like where the term super Bowl came from?

Speaker 3 (13:30):
How long that has been been around?

Speaker 5 (13:32):
I have it until you brought it up, and now
I'm super curious.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
It was coined by a man named Lamar Hunt Senior
back in nineteen fifty nine. He was involved in the
league Back then, and he wrote in a letter to
the NFL commissioner, quote, I have kiddingly called it the
super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Which obviously can be improved upon.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
He said the name was likely in his head because
his children had been playing with a toy called a
super Bowl, so in his head, he said, it is
a little corny and kind of silly, but it looks
like we're stuck with it. I'm not proud of it,
but nobody's come up with anything better, so we still
have the super Bowl today, the biggest event in sports.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
He called it corny.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Have you had a lot of confidence behind that?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Nobody had anything better? And that's why I would call
it the super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Sometimes it just be like that, And that's your fact
of the day.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the river.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Is there something that people tell you spend too much
money on?

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Like?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Is there a certain thing for me? Honestly, I hate
to admit it, but it's probably hats.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I don't. I don't why I keep buying hats. I
don't need more hats.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
You do own a.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Lot of hats, I know, and I will say that
you only really wear a.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Handful of You're a thousand percent right, just stacked in
my closet.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
What are you buying too much of that?

Speaker 4 (14:46):
People are constantly calling you out for six one, five,
seven through seven nine one oh seven.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Maybe you call yourself out for it.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
I call myself out for the hats. I want to
find out what yours is, too, Ricky, because I know
you have one.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
I do unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Is it laboo boo? We'll get there. What do you
spend too much money on? Six one, five, seven, three,
seven nine.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the River?

Speaker 5 (15:09):
What do you.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Spend too much money on that people are constantly calling
you out for? It's Ricky, Zach and Mano in the
morning on one o seven five of the River. Kevin's
already confessed that he buys way too many hats.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
I don't even know why.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I just look's like a new hat every week and
I don't even wear them.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Carry in Brentwood. What is that one thing that you're
spending way too much money on?

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Pers persus? That's a normal problem for a lot of us.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
Oh no, no, no, no, not what my fiance says, are
you gonna throw at these out or sell?

Speaker 2 (15:39):
And I'm like, no, are they like really expensive purses.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
We'll say they're so extened?

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Okay, perfect, yeah, okay, how many would you say you have?

Speaker 6 (15:50):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (15:50):
God, what's twenty? Okay, that's not too bad.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Oh it really is bad.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
I feel like I.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Might be trying to make myself feel better about the
amount of things that I have by saying that it's
not that bad.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
I mean, how many black persons can I continue?

Speaker 8 (16:06):
The hat?

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Black universal those everything shapes and sizes. That's the problem.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
You actually need though, like two maybe sure.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
Now, men don't understand, Carrie. Men just don't get it.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
You need like different types of purses for different types
of vibes and what you're going to And black is universal,
like carry said, and it just comes in so many
sheeps and sizes that you need one in every shape
and size.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
See exactly, I'm a really bad influence. I wear scrubs
every day, but thanks dough Friday. So yeah, I don't
care about buying shoes.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
But persons here we get I love it.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Carrie and Kevin, you don't have a leg to stand
on all those.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Dang hats you have.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Agreed, I'll get rid of some of my hats if
you get rid of some of your purses.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Carrie, absolutely not. I love it, my girl, nobody.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Thank you for calling in, Carrie. We hope you have
a great day you too, by love by.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Okay, Ricky, So what is it for you?

Speaker 5 (17:08):
I I it's multiple things. Unfortunately, I have problems. But
I buy a lot of trinkets. Like I went through
my Labuobu phase and I bought a lot of those.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
I do buy a lot of trinkets, just like an
little things little.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
I love it. It makes you really happy.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
I don't even know what else to call them other
than trinkets.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
I love drinkets so much. It just it brings whimsy
into your life.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
I also just have a really bad problem where I
can't stop buying merch. I'm wearing bad bunny merch right now.
I didn't get to go to the concert in Puerto Rico.
I wasn't able to go, but I had a friend
who would and I made her buy me merch.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
That's a good shirt to me. You have a lot
of band merch.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
I love it. I can't help it.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the Morning on.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Five the River. We're kind of being vulnerable here this morning,
we're sharing.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
It's a support group for people that spend too much
money on something whatever that might be Perrichet's trinkets for me,
I said, it's hat Mabel and Murphy's Borough.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
What is it for you?

Speaker 7 (18:05):
Shoes?

Speaker 5 (18:06):
I love shoes, Mabel. That's probably the third thing that
I spend too much money on. I have way too
many shoes to it.

Speaker 7 (18:13):
I can stop.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
How many pairs of shoes would you say you have?

Speaker 7 (18:18):
Bro, I just cleaned my closet and a thing I
maybia have like a hundred pyears now that bunch.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
Honestly, do I think I'm close to one hundred. I'm
not gonna lie to you. In my tiny little apartment too.
It's hard to find space for them on the DLT.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
How do you guys have one hundred pairs of shoes?
That's crazy to me.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Well, because this is the thing, and I'm sure Mabel's
experienced this as well, where you have like a big event,
and you have an idea of an outfit in your
head of what you want to wear, and you want
to look good and you want everybody to be like, dang,
look at her, So you put together this whole outfit
in your head.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
And then it just involves new shoes. I looked at it,
Frida hide in in my car?

Speaker 6 (18:56):
Why I order it online?

Speaker 7 (18:57):
And that's how my son just put it on my.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Clothet and don't tell that.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Yeah, your son is complicit too, he's part of.

Speaker 7 (19:06):
My husband was like, are you hiding something from me?

Speaker 8 (19:10):
You know, he asked my son and he was like, no, no, no,
that's don't open it, bubby.

Speaker 5 (19:14):
That's you know, that's something that mommy got to you.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
So that's why speak every time we have a box,
like you know, like for a delivery, something like Mama said,
don't open it because that's for you.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
That is so funny, always getting him these mystery gifts
that he never receives. You might have a problem, maybel
but thank you for for calling.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
A chairing with us.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
You have my great day. Guys.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
You love all, We love you.

Speaker 7 (19:39):
Thank you, bye bye.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
I love that the sun is part of this and
he is. He knows exactly what to say and what
to do during every situation.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Phenomenal. Ten out of ten.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
We've got tickets to see zaying he's going to be
in Nashville. You can win those all week starting in

Speaker 5 (20:02):
I hope you're ready to.

Speaker 4 (20:03):

Diamonds on one oh seven.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
Five the River.

Speaker 4 (20:08):

Yeah, he's coming to Nashville.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
We've got tickets all week six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
one oh seven if you want to play the game
for him. I know we got a little weird last
week with Ghost Malone, so we're just gonna take weird,
take it back to an old classic.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
We're doing topical trivia today and all week.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
It's uh trivia questions based on things happening in the
world around us right now. If you get two out
of three of them, these Zane tickets are yours and
we're playing next on the River.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
It's one oh seven five the River. We are playing
Kevin Mano's Game of the Day. It's topical trivia. This
week is the game that we're playing. If you haven't
played before, the idea is, you know, you kind of
have to know what's going on in the world around you.
If you get these questions right, you're gonna go see
Zain from one Direction at Britstone Arena on July thirty.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
First, Candace from All Good Tennessee is on the line.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Good morning, Candace, Good morning. How is your weekend?

Speaker 6 (21:10):
It was great?

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Did you happen to watch a certain sporting event yesterday?
A little bit of it?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Okay, hopefully the boring games, so Lily, I had to
watch a little.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
Bit of it.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
But I'm asking because some of these questions might be
related to it, so hopefully you took something from it. Okay,
you get two out of three of them right, You're
going to see Zane Candace. Topical Trivia is the name
of the game, and it starts.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Right now, Candace.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Name one cameo during Bad Bunnies Super Bowl halftime performance.
One person either out there dancing or maybe somebody that
was out there singing with him.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Maybe jib oh, no, he was not. That would have
been a great choice, though, I would have been very
in the beginning of the game so I wasn't the
halftime ship. No, it's okay. You're still in the game.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Okay, you get this right. You win a different sport here.
What sport is at the center of the popular HBO
Max show he did rivalry?

Speaker 5 (22:11):
Is it hockey? It is hockey? Okay, a point on
the board.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Good job, we're sticking with the sports theme. Where are
the twenty twenty six Winter Olympics currently taking place? We'll
take the country. You're sort of happening in two cities
in this particular.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Country, Italy.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Italy really.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
Sounded like a guess, and you were right.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Congratulations.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Oh my gosh, that's so awesome. You're gonna see zan
at Bridgeton Arena on July thirty first.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Congratulations Candace, Oh my gosh, thank you so much.

Speaker 7 (22:49):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Of course, I'm a little upset that you didn't watch
the halftime show.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
But it's fine, Candace, it's fine. My kids were getting crazy.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
It is what it is.

Speaker 5 (22:59):
I get it, and it's fine.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
And just so, you still won and Ricky Martin both
came out to sing with Bad Bunny.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
It was a great show.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
Crazy.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
I'm gonna put you on a hold though, Okay, Love,
I gotta get your info and congratulations again. We are
very excited for you, Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Of course we're.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Playing again tomorrow, same game.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I did not have high hopes for campus at for
giving you that be here tomorrow seven and forty five
if you won these Zane tickets.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Three things you know, all.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Right past eight o'clock here on this Monday morning, Thank
you for being here.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Ricky's got those three things.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Unfortunately, Drake's sports curse is alive and well.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
In case you haven't heard of Drake's curse.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
He's just he's really bad at betting on sports team.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
He loves to do it, loves to do it. He's
really bad at it.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Though, whatever team he backs and goes for the other
team ends up winning. It's happened too many times at
this point to not be a real genuine curse. And
on Saturday, he told fans on Instagram that he dropped
a million dollar bet that the New England Patriots would
win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
He even quote bet against me if you.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Dare What what a bold thing to say for the
guy that never wins.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Just in case you didn't watch yesterday, the Seahawks one.
So I hope a lot of people bet against him
so that they actually made some money. But yeah, it's
alive and well he lost a million dollars and I
just I don't know why this man keeps doing this
to himself. Good news, Practical Magic two is coming out sooner.
Warner Brothers has bumped up the release date to September eleventh.

(24:29):
Practical Magic two was previously supposed to come out on
the eighteenth of September, so now we're gonna get it
a few days ahead of time, which I love to hear.
It does mean that there's more competition as it's now
going up against the Redo of Sense and Sensibility from
Focused Features, so it doesn't look like they're.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
Really worried about it.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
That's like from the nineties, right.

Speaker 5 (24:50):
Yes, Practical Magic is one of my favorite movies.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
It's Kevin Sorry, I'll watch it.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
We're gonna I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Fight you after this break is worth going. We're gonna
discuss why you haven't already that's insane.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
But I'm very excited with Practical Magic too.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
It's gonna be in my calendar September eleventh for me
to go to the movie theater or watch it and
if you're looking for a way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
The sweet Spot, a romantic dessert lounge pop up, is
happening at JW Marriott Nashville. The pop up is inside
Stomping Grounds. It's gonna be like an intimate candlelit experience.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
Each ticket includes your desserts that are paired with your.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Choice of champagne, wine, and craft cocktails, some of which
are zero proof so everybody can enjoy it. It's happening
Thursday through Saturday this week from seven to nine pm,
where reservations are required so you can book them at
the JW Marriott website if you are interested.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Last I checked, they still had some slots available.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
And if I wasn't gluten free, your girl would be there,
because that sounds delightful.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Just a bunch of desserts and champagne.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Ekia. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things
you need to know.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Thank you, Ricky. You're not gonna like this, but do
you know what practical Manda kas.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
On rotten tomatoes get out of here. I don't care.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Do you want to guess?

Speaker 4 (26:03):
No, I don't want to guess, and I don't care.
I feel like you're bullying me right now.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Twenty seven percent. I can't wait for the secretions.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
It's gonna be great right after Justin Bieber, we do
have your chance to win and some money. We're still
paying your bills again this week. There is a keyword.
Next minutes away. Get yourself this cash on.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
The river, Ricky Zach and Minnow in the Morning.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Survey has found that twenty five percent of people would
break up with their partner over.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
A bad Valentine's Day gift. That's crazy, a pretty.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
High amount of people that are willing to do that,
especially considering I'm pretty sure everyone's gotten a bad gift
from a significant other before, so I want to know
what that bad gift is. If you've ever received something
from your significant other that you were like, wow, that
was just.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Swinging a miss.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
I've given several to my wife.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Man, I'm so glad that she didn't leave me because
of these bad gifts. Because twenty five percent of people
would break up over a bad gift.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
You're lucky that she has it.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Six one, five, seven, three seven, nine one oh seven.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
The worst gift you ever received from a significant other?

Speaker 5 (27:09):
What was? Did you break up with them?

Speaker 2 (27:11):
I'll share mine too. The things I've given out, they
were just huge misses.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
But we want to.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Sei River, Ricky, Zach and Minnow in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
One O seven five the River.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
According to this survey, the study, twenty five percent of
people would break up with their significant other because of
a bad Valentine's Day gift.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
That's a high number. We want to know the worst
gift you've ever received?

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Sierra in Fort Campbell, Kentucky's on the line. Good morning, Sierra,
good morning.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
What was it for you?

Speaker 2 (27:38):
So it wasn't necessarily a bad gift?

Speaker 5 (27:40):
Okay? So I've been married with my husband for about
six years now. A year and a half ago, he
got me a.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
Polaroid you know a little bit of polaroid.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Yeah, nap shot camera. He got me one of those.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
But then the next day.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
He returned it. What why did he do that? He
said that he couldn't necessarily at it, which completely understand
you know, I.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Mean, but we could have at the time.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
So I don't know why. He's one of those people
that have buyers remorse.

Speaker 7 (28:09):
And I was like, okay, yeah, so it was kind
of like hmmm, I mean I got chocolate, but that.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
This and this is the thing.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
You probably would have been fine with just chocolate, right,
you probably would have been totally okay with that.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
Of course, it's the giving and that he take.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
Yeah, he spoiled me literally through sixty five here, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
So it was okay, but that was kind of crabby.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Are you able to take any polaroid photos with the
camera before he returned it?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
No? I actually did.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
I took about four polaroids.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
And I still have them to this day, and they're
very really they're really good, really good picture.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
So I'd appreciate it. And well, I'm glad you got
something out of it. But yeah, this makes it. And
you didn't leave him. Clearly you're still with him.

Speaker 8 (28:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yeah, he's lucky.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
Huh, it's lucky. That's what I keep saying to Kevin.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
He's lucky that he's wife is still with him after
all the bad gifts he's gotten her.

Speaker 7 (29:03):
Oh no, you're a good one.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Then, Oh god, the pressure.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
All right, Sierra, thank you for calling, and happy early
Valentine's Day.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
All right. I think this was a birthday gift that
I got her.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
Okay, I don't even want to.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Talk about this. I gave it.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
I have a friend that's an artist, and I thought
it would be a good idea. We had just had
our baby, Molly, our first child, and we had our dog,
Owen at the time. So I asked my friend to
make a piece of art that would be our daughter
Molly righte on Owen's back like a horse.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Okay, it just didn't come out.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
Well.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
I was very excited about it.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Uh, my friend great artist, not great with faces. So
I had to ask him because he does all of
this stuff like sort of on a computer, you know
what I mean, it's not painting. Yeah. I had to
ask him a couple of times you mind fixing the
face a little bit, And it got to a point
where I just stopped asking.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
And she looked a little nuts. It's a little crazy.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
And I gave it to Ali, Ali, this new proud mom.
It literally made her cry when she saw it because
it was a depiction of ourn.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
It was not good. It was not good.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Okay, so swinging a miss right there.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
And I was I put so much effort into it,
you know what I mean, Like, I was really proud
of this creative idea.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
I would say, the thought is what counts.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
That's what she said.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
But I don't know, keV. That's rough.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
It was a gift that made her cry for the
wrong reason.

Speaker 5 (30:28):
You should have just not given it to her.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
But she didn't break up with me. You know we're
still happily married.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
Yeah, really lucky.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Yeah. You don't need to leave someone over a bad gift.
Six one, five, seven, three seven, nine one oh seven.
Make me feel better. The worst gift you ever received
is we lead up to Valentine's Day?

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Here, what what Ricky is?

Speaker 6 (30:44):
Zach and manno in the morning.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
On the river.

Speaker 5 (30:48):
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. And this new
stat is wild.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Twenty five percent of people say they'd break up with
their partner over a bad Valentine's Day gift, which obviously
blew our minds because people get bad gifts all the
time from their significant others. Robin Shelbyville, what's that gift
that you've received that was just real bad?

Speaker 7 (31:07):
A scale?

Speaker 5 (31:08):
A scale?

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Yep, your significant other got.

Speaker 5 (31:13):
You a scale.

Speaker 8 (31:14):
Yes, I was going on a get healthy and fit
this kick, and of all the things that he could
have bought me a workout out a young man, you know, wait,
he bought me a scale.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
I my jaw is on the ground right now, Robin.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
I'd like to try to like defend him a little
bit or something.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Movie.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
I mean, that's just you know, my nature.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
But you can't and anybody out there listening, don't get
your partner at scale.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
Did you stay with him?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (31:43):
Yes, you've been married.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
But okay, that didn't break you guys up.

Speaker 8 (31:49):
You know, he was really proud of it because he
was like, yes, listened to be talking about wanting to
get fit and whatnot. So he thought that was like
a really.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
I guess I kind of get it.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
And men just think a little bit harder about these things,
you know, like just give it as an extra thought exactly.

Speaker 8 (32:10):
That has got to be the worst thing.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
It'd be hard to top that one.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Yeah, thank you for calling this morning, Robin. We'll have
a great day.

Speaker 8 (32:18):
Welcome you guys.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
We love you.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
There are some scales like we have a scale, oh sir,
try some smart scales.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
Like you know, there are some scales that just talk
to the women in your life and ask them, is
this a good gift? If they are not honest with you,
never speak to those women again. If they are honest
with you, keep them around because they can help you
buy your significant other?

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Are a good gig one Ricky, Zach and Mennow in
the morning the River, It's time.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
For the daily double tap, and it is.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
About the commercials at the super Bowl halftime or the
super Bowl last night, but not talking.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
A lot about the halftime, so I get why you.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
It was way more entertaining than the game, not necessarily
like the normal conversation you have though after the super
Bowl about the commercials.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
They just they weren't that great.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
No, I didn't really like any of them, and a
lot of them were AI commercials, like you're shoving AI
down our throats.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
And this was kind of like a popular thing discussed
on the internet last night.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Here we go, today's daily double tap.

Speaker 9 (33:21):
Nearly a quarter into this game, all I've seen for
commercials is AI. I only watched the Super Bowl for
the commercials and the bad Bunny. If you're just gonna
do AI commercials, just put the stupid game back on
at this point. That's how bad it is.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Yeah, it was really bad because it was just constant AI.
Every other commercial was an AI commercial. The only commercial
that I actually liked was the Uber Eats one with
Matthew mconaey and Bradley Cooper.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah, they were great. I like seeing the two of
them together was good.

Speaker 5 (33:51):
Bet there was Stiller one was good with.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
There was a Duncan commercial that brought back a bunch
of like ninety sitcom people like George Stanza and Joey
from Friends and Merkle and you know, the Carlton was there,
so I blew me away. Yeah, I know, I agree
with you and too
