Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
All right, let's go Monday morning.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
Here we are, we're back, spring break is behind us,
and we're ready to tackle the new week.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Ricky Sanchez has those three things?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Are we ready to tackle?
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Then?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
You know, sometimes she's gotta say stuff and make it
through just.
Speaker 5 (00:16):
Speaking into existence. Okay, that's what we're doing right now,
Kelly Clarkson. She just recently revealed that she never got
her American Idol prize money, which is kind of crazy.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Rob Rousch he's a Winner of Traders.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
He was on The Kelly Clarkson Show where she got
really candid about the behind the scenes on how these
shows really work by bringing up to him like, hey,
have you gotten your prize money yet and ending with
I didn't get mine ever. So, she explained that when
she won the inaugural inaugural I can't speak season of
American Idol back in two thousand and two, she never
(00:49):
got her million dollar prize or the car that she
was promised that she would get if she won. She said, quote,
it was like a million dollars worth of investment in you. Instead,
also said that the season two runner up klay Aking
got a car, and so did his mom so she's
really still wondering what the heck happened to her stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
That's very weird.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
It's really crazy and kind of mind blowing to think about.
But I'm guessing her uh NDA's.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Up, so she's ready to talk about and talk.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
About it and let everybody know that. Like sometimes these
things are kind of uh blown out of proportion and
they're not exactly what you expect them to be. So
hopefully rob Rousch gets his money and gets what he
was promised, and things have changed at this point, we'll
see Metropolis has expanded its Park and Play program, which
is really amazing. This is a program that offers free
parking to national musicians, which is an ongoing battle for
(01:39):
them as it is for us, because we don't have
any free parking anywhere in the city anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Everything's been taken.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
Away, mostly by Metropolis. So they are doing this program
and they are expanding it. The initiative launched last August,
and it includes lots and areas like Downtown, the Gulch, Midtown,
and East Nashville. There's a full list of all the
participating locations on Metropolis's website if you want to check
that out.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
If you're a musician take advantage of it.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
I mean, some of these.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Musicians going downtown to do gigs are losing money because they're.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, or just to meet with their record label.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
They're losing money to meet with their record label about things,
and it just doesn't make any sense. We'd experience it
quite often when we have to go downtown for a
gig and we're like, oh, well, there's sixty dollars down
the drain. It's a new study has found that teenagers
are spending a third of their school day looking at
their smartphones. So, per this report, middle and high school
students are checking their phones dozens of times while at school,
(02:33):
frequently every hour. It's both linked to weaker impulse controls
and attention spans. Obviously, for any parent out there, you
know what these teachers are going through, and if these
kids are constantly checking their smartphones, they're not doing the
work that they need to do. So everybody's got to
work jointly when it comes to the education of their
kids and going to school. I know that back in school,
(02:54):
when I was in high school, you just had your
phone under the desk and you had to use T
nine to type out text messages. To each That's all
we could do is text each other. Yeah, I'm Ricky
Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Thank you so much, Ricky.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Were getting back into the music here, but hey, we
started this new pick six and twenty six things. So
right after Olivia Dean, you're gonna have a chance to
get yourself in the running here and we'll send you
to six concerts in twenty twenty six. Six. If you're
choosing in Nashville, get that keyword, your chance to win.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
Next on the River, Ricky is Zach and Manno in
the morning on the River.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Kevin, are you so excited about which part of this? Well,
because you.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Get to say something that you love to say about
the first caller of the day in about three seconds,
we have tickets to see John Mulaney at the Ryeman
on June thirteenth. If you are the first caller of
the day of the.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Week, the first caller of the day of the week, the.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Very first one for the first one in a week.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Oh in okay, you're going deep with the spring break break.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
The first caller of the day of.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
The week in a week week, I don't even I
lost it. I lost the thread six seven three seven nine.
The point is John Mulaney. We love John Mulaney. He's
gonna be at the Ryman And if you're the first
caller of the day of the week, you're gonna be.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
There with him.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the river.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Happy Monday friends, thank you for starting your week with us.
Stephanie and Bowling Green, Kentucky is on the line. How
are you, Stephanie.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
I'm doing good. How are you all?
Speaker 2 (04:22):
We're good?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, you know, moving a little slow on this Monday morning.
We uh were kind of off last week for spring break.
Did you have yours yet or is that coming up?
What's your situation now?
Speaker 7 (04:32):
We have ours in April, so we've still got a
few weeks.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
That makes so much more sense to me, Stephanie, this
is fascinating how everybody does it so different in New Jersey.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
That's always what we did as well.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
It was in April, so like the fact that March
is when we do it in Nashville always threw me
for a loop.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I'm like, it's still cold outside.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
Yeah, it's so cold.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
It doesn't feel like spring at all. Today is chili?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
It's not even technically spring yet. I don't think spring
late next week.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
It makes no sense. But listen, take what we you
can get. You got a week off, take the week off?
Why not? Right?
Speaker 7 (05:03):
Right?
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Right?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Are you doing anything or going anywhere?
Speaker 1 (05:06):
You have kids for spring?
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Well, now my daughter is in college and my son's
in school, and there's spring break. They're different, so yeah,
they like her. My daughter spring break is this week,
so we can't really go anywhere when they're scheduled off.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
Yeah, that's a bummer. Does she go anywhere by herself? No?
Speaker 7 (05:25):
Oh no, she's only sixteen?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Oh okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
I was like when I was in college, obviously I
had a different spray break from everybody else, and I
was like, I'm going wherever.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I want to see you later.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Did you say sixteen college?
Speaker 7 (05:36):
She she's too young for me to let.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Her go just yet.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Sixteen in college?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Is that she said, Stephanie, Yes, that's right. Wow, Okay,
So I didn't.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Make that up in my hand. She's a genius.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
Yeah, Stephanie, what I feel like you said that way too,
Doogie howser over here.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
You said that.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Way too casually, and I thought that I heard college
and you didn't actually say college.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I was like, Oh, when I was in college, I
used to just go anywhere. I was also of age
to do that. Yeah, that is amazing. Good for your.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Daughter now, I'm so proud of her.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Oh that's really sweet.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
That's very cool.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Well, Stephanie, now you can be proud of yourself because
you woke up early, you called us, and you became
the first caller of the day. On one O seven
five the River. You got tickets to see John Mullaney
in the Ryman.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah, we love John Mullaney.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
One of the best comedians out there these days. He
puts on a great show. You're gonna have fun. Stephanie,
thank you for starting your week with us.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
All right, hang on so we can get your information.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
We have more of these John Mullaney tickets all week,
and I'm we should ask more questions about this genius daughter.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
We don't have enough time, but I do have so
many more questions.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
One O seven five the River, Good morning, Ricky, Zach
and man o'zach is out. It's just Ricky and myself today,
and I have a question for a couple of questions.
Ricky to see if I'm I don't know a bad person.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Oh, this is gonna be fun for me.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
We've had some some house guests saying with us over
spring break and they go back today, they fly today, and.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
You guys have a lot of house guests.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I know we do.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
And I was supposed to take him to the airport,
but I'm now deciding that I'm not going to and
I need I need to ask some questions.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
I need to ask you some questions.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah, we'll get into it next other.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Ricky, Zach and menow in the morning.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
I hope you have your seatbelts on because we're going
on a ride right now. It's Ricky Zacamano in the
morning on one of seven five of the river.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Kevin has to ask me.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Questions, but I have to ask him questions about his
house guests. And the whole reason that we're doing this
is because he wants to know if he's a bad person.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah, which is not a great thing to ask me.
Who's always willing to say your bad Just if.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
You were on the other end of this, like you know,
we do have these house guests. If you were them,
I want to know how you would react to this.
It's kind of a tough part question here. They've been
with us for about a week and it's been lovely,
been great. They have a couple of kids, so it's
been a loud house and it's been very fun. Uh
And they go back this afternoon. I'm supposed to drive
them to the airport. It's like forty minutes away, you know,
and then it's like forty minutes sounds like two hours
(07:57):
of my day.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
But I am so tired.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
We stayed up way too lately last night, and I'm
very tired, and all I want to do after work
today is go home and take a nap. So I'm deciding,
as I was driving in this morning that I'm going
to bail on taking them to the airport.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I'm just not doing it.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
So is the question that I would be upset about
not being gat to the airport anymore?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
No, okay, good, here's question number two. Thank you for that.
I appreciate that, now what I expected from you? Who
pays for that? Uber?
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I would if I were the guest, But it's.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Like an expense I am like foisting upon them because
I was supposed to be there.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
They came to visit. Yeah, they came to visit you.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
If you're going to go somewhere and you're going to
travel somewhere, whether you're staying with people or not, and
you don't have planned means of how to get around, then.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
You're not doing the travel correctly. I'm gonna go ahead
and tell you you're doing it wrong.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
And you need to know that you're gonna have to
spend money on things. Just because you're bailing doesn't mean
that you should pay for their their.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Uber I really fully expected you say the opposite of
everything you're saying.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
No, I mean, I think, I think truly one the
person who is willing to either pick you all partake
you to the airport.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Is a Saint o scept from heaven above.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Okay, because any airport you go to is an absolute hassle.
It is always out of the way, It is always
annoying to have to do that right like, so no
matter what is happening, it's always going to be a
frustrating experience. So anybody willing to do that is amazing.
If they decide to bail on doing that because they're
tired or they just can't.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Do it, that's not my part. Like, that's whatever. You
have a life. Still, you're still going to work, you're
still doing your thing.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I didn't expect any of this, and I thank you
for it.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I felt terrible this morning, and now you're making me
feel a lot better.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
I think that you are totally within your rights, especially
because you're still working.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
You're still doing your thing. If anything they're imposing on you,
what I heard.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Is that I'm a saint and hope you just leave
it at that.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
I've sort of said that in a totally different way
than the way that I did.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
I regret everything.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Now, well we are back.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Hope you had an ice spring break, if you were
if you were off, if you're out of town or
anything last week. Welcome back to it. It's a brand
new week and we're gonna kick its ass.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Okay, keV.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Monday morning.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Three things, right after seven o'clock on this Monday morning.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Thank you for starting your week with us. Ricky's got
those three things.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
The oscars they happened last night. I got some highlights
for you.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
One Battle after another got six awards, Sinners got four,
Frankenstein won three, and K Pop Demon Hunters walked away
with two trophies.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Cool.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
I know best Actor category has been a hot topic
of discussion for this awards season because it looks like
it was gonna be a tight race between Michael B.
Jordan and Timothy Shalomey and even Leonardo DiCaprio, because those
are the big movies this year that everybody was talking about.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Michael B. Jordan. He won.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Congrats to him. Honestly, if you watch Centners, you know
that he deserved it. He played twins in this very original,
very interesting movie, and I am just so excited that
he won because I truly feel like he deserved it.
He went to in and Out to celebrate afterwards.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Which is also the coolest thing ever.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
There's lots of videos going around of everybody cheering for
him and just being really excited that he was there
to celebrate.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
And I will say, he played twins, but very different twins,
like all young, completely different people.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
And if you look into any of the things that
he did to specifically portray each different person even though
they were twins, fascinating. Oh my god, he really deserved it.
Best Actress went to Jesse Buckley for her role in
Hamnet Autumn Derould Archapaal. She became the first woman to
ever win for Bets cinematography for her work on Sinners. Again,
(11:26):
just such a good movie. You gotta watch it if
you have not watched it yet. Also another great movie
to watch the one who won Best Picture which was
one battle after another great movie. A new weekend Broadway
street closure started over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Just so you know, Broadway will be.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Closed between John Lewis Way and Second Avenue and Will
It's gonna be in place every Friday and Saturday, so
from seven thirty pm to one am. They're going to
close down the street to ensure that pedestrians can walk
around safely.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
This makes so much sense.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Obviously, pedestrian safety has been a huge topic of conversation
around Nashale. MmpD said traffic control is going to assist
at intersections long Fourth Avenue to help transit operations and
safe crossing.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
For pedestrians and things like that.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
So just keep in mind Broadway Street closures around Broadway
are going to be happening every weekend from now on
seven thirty pm to one am. And AMC has revealed
the Devilwares product two specialty popcorn bucket and everyone is
losing their minds over it. I love these specialty popcorn buckets.
I love this is a thing that we're doing now.
It just makes it so much more fun to go
(12:30):
to the theater. This sequel is set to premiere on
April thirtieth. They have a chic top handle popcorn purse.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
I know, fans are obviously really excited about it. It's
a collectible that's going to be tied to this iconic film. Now,
if you haven't seen it, I will post a picture
on our Instagram stories at.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
One O seven five of the River.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
It is honestly very cool looking and it just fits
so perfectly to this movie.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I'm Ri Casanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
I could see you carrying a popcorn purse just every day,
just films.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
One person for your stuff, one person popcord all.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I actually love that idea so much.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
Kevin class is in sessions sacks fact on.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
All right, Zach is out today. He should be back
with us tomorrow. So I'm gonna fill in forum here
with your fact. Ricky, did you know until nineteen fifteen
it was legal to mail a baby through the US
Postal Service?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
What are you saying to me, Kevin?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
It was legal? It didn't last very long.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
There was like a six year period where you just
had to buy some stamps for your baby hand them
over to the postal carrier. There are documented accounts of
people doing this. You need to send your baby to
Gramdmas for the day. Just get some stamps and find
the mail man.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
How many stamps is a baby?
Speaker 3 (13:40):
I don't think there was even like a regulation like
they just some stamps.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
I don't know, just like some heavy things take like
fine stamps.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
I don't think back then it did.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
So just put one stamp on your baby's forehead and
give that is cheap.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah and affordable.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Okay, I'm not a post to this. I think we'll
bring it back. That's your Factor of the day.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Brought to you by Mark Strain.
Speaker 6 (14:02):
Real Estate, Ricky is Zach and Mano.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
In the morning on one O seven five the River,
we started doing something new today called Pick six and
twenty six. We're celebrating all of the concerts coming to
Nashville this year, and Ricky and I were having a
conversation in here about our favorite concert ever.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
We love going to see anybody play live, and obviously
we have quite a few that we've.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Been to at this point.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Yeah, let's talk about your faves and our faves six one, five, seven,
three seven nine, one oh seven.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
What was your favorite concert you've ever been to?
Speaker 6 (14:32):
One oh seven five the River?
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Ricky, Zach and Mano. In the morning, Ricky and.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
I were talking about our favorite concerts ever in here
and we have a really cool, uh little surprise moment,
I think on the line right now, Kayla and Murphy's Borough,
who are you with?
Speaker 8 (14:46):
I have my two youngest boys with me, Calvin and Branden,
and I was actually going to tell them that we're
gonna go see Posty together because they didn't know, and
so tell them how they feel about it.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
You do so happy?
Speaker 6 (15:01):
Are you?
Speaker 7 (15:02):
Are you excited to tell them?
Speaker 8 (15:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:07):
That is amazing.
Speaker 8 (15:08):
It's not quite awake yet.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Is that going to be their first concert?
Speaker 8 (15:12):
It is, yess going to be six and eight, which
is crazy to go see Posting alone. But they're a
big fan.
Speaker 9 (15:19):
That is crazy alone.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Are our people, and so you you just told them
this morning. You're breaking the news to them right now.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
Yeah. And I thought I was gonna wake them up
and get them more excited for school, but they are not.
I guess they're sy.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Oh you guys are gonna have so much fun. Caylea,
that is so exciting.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
I'm excited for all of you to go to this
concert obviously going to be a memory that you're all
gonna have forever.
Speaker 8 (15:43):
Yes, are you going to stop being shy and say hi.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Okay, so that shows what that shows?
Speaker 8 (15:55):
That failed fail?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
No?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
I love this. This is great. That shows end of June.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Right, Caleb, this is actually reminding me. This is bringing
me back.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
To being a kid and my mom used to get
so upset. You'd buy us these big expensive toys and
we would just play with the box.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (16:14):
I used to do the same thing with my with
my brothers, a big, old giant box.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
This is a full sumple moment for.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Well, thank you for colling. I'm sure they're super excited.
You guys are gonna have a great time.
Speaker 8 (16:28):
Okay, I love you.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
I love you, I love you.
Speaker 8 (16:34):
Yes, so cute. That's right, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
It was an unexpected little moment there, Ricky. Okay, back
on track. Here, your favorite concert ever?
Speaker 5 (16:50):
I it's hard for me to pick a favorite. I
will say I did see post Malone a few years ago,
and he is a phenomenal concert.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
So They're all gonna have so much fun at that.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
I've seen people i'm like soaprita carpenter to like country
artists and everywhere in between.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I just love being at all of them. I don't
necessarily have.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
A Favorite's not gonna pick one.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
I can't pick one.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
I love the feeling of being in front of live music,
whether it's downtown on Broadway at a honky tog or
if it's at a concert. That feeling of everybody singing
the same songs together and being together in that moment
is always so like freeing, and my adrenaline gets going
and I can't fall asleep when I get home.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I can't say I have a favorite. It's every single time.
I love it.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
The two that always come to mind when I think
about my favorite concert Rage Against the Machine in the
nineties amazing. And then I'm a big Lollapalooza fan. That's
my favorite festival, Loalla Palouse up in Chicago. Seeing Daft
Punk at Lallapalooza, and I'm not even a huge Daft
Punk or EDM fan blew my mind.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
And I always think, not expecting either of those yeah
to come out of your mouth.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Kevin those are the two that come to mind.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
I was expecting like a way older response than the
one that we got.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I'm impressed by both of those.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Really.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
The reason we got on that's we started this new
thing called Pick six and twenty six where.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
We're gonna let you if you win pick six.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Shows in Nashville in twenty twenty six, and we're gonna
send you to all six of those.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Uh, and you're like a golden ticket essentially.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Exactly never more than a half an hour away, So
like seven forty your next chance to enter to win
this And if you want to share your favorite concert
memory six one, five, seven, three seven.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Ricky Zach and Meadow in the morning, Sheila in.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Fairview, tell us about your favorite concert you've ever been to.
Speaker 9 (18:30):
Probably my favorite was Janet Jackson in California Rhythm Nation,
Oh my gosh Ue nineteen ninety one. But my first
was Elvis Presley, Oh my Presley. But I do remember,
and we were pretty close to the stage.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
I shaking his hips right there. Elvis in his prime
or like a little you know, like later years, no later.
Speaker 9 (18:50):
Years because and this prim was my mom's age kind
of thing.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Got it.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
That's okay though, you still saw somebody that like is
absolutely iconic who so many people would love to have
had that experience, to be able to see him, no
matter what the age he was, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
That's crazy.
Speaker 9 (19:06):
Yeah, yeah it was cool. I just moved from Memphis
area three years ago to this area and I'm loving now,
like rhyme and stuff.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yes, isn't the rhyme the coolest?
Speaker 5 (19:16):
Like I've been to so many concert venues and it
is such a unique and interesting and cool concert venue
here to have here in Nashville. And I feel like
people who are here and have been here for a
long time don't realize how cool the Ryman.
Speaker 10 (19:28):
Actually is, right, I mean Vid the Grenda lock a
few times, which is great too. Yes, I mean all
the stuff you have, And I'm like, you know, I
can't travel abroad this year. It looks like, so this
is gonna be like explore Nashville.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
I love that, lots to explore, and yeah, those are
some iconic venues no matter where you are in the world,
you know those venues.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
So yeah, we get some good.
Speaker 5 (19:47):
Feel Like every weekend I find about something new to
do and I'm like, oh my god, it's NonStop.
Speaker 9 (19:53):
It is I heard yelling. Don't tell me things. I'm like,
not the interesting.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Oh I love that.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Glad we can help. Thank you for listening.
Speaker 10 (20:00):
Thank you have a great day.
Speaker 9 (20:02):
Love you have a great one.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Bye.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Sheila has left the building. Wow, Kevin, that was an
Elvis refid. I don't even if you would get No, of.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Course I got it under a rock. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Before your time, Ricky is before your time.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, you're before my time.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
We've got pussy Cat Dolls. Take us. It's another concert
you can win your way into. Those are coming up
at the Game of the Day.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
It's Kevin Mano's Game of the Day on one oh
seven five the River. We're playing topical trivia today in
all week for your chance to get tickets to see
the Pussycat Dolls at a sen Amphitheater on July twenty ninth.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Don't you wish your girlfriend was like Lee?
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Please don't ever do that again.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Bethany and Murphy'sborough. Good morning, Welcome to the River.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
The game is topical trivia. I don't know if you've
heard it before. If you're familiar with it. It's very straightforward.
Some questions based on things that are happening currently in
the world around us.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
If you get two out of three of them, right,
you're going to the show.
Speaker 8 (20:58):
Okay, sounds good.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Where's your.
Speaker 9 (21:01):
Let's put it out like a seven out of ten.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
Okay, that's not bad, that's not bad. But we're gonna
say ten out of ten because we're going fully in
with all the confidence in the world. Okay, Bethany, absolutely,
all right, let's go.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Your game starts right now.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Bethany who posted the oscars last night?
Speaker 8 (21:27):
You know I watched like half of it before the weather.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Hit on the board.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
All right, you get this, you win.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
This is actually probably maybe too easy now that I'm
looking at the question what popular college sports tournament starts
this week?
Speaker 8 (21:48):
Oh man, and I'm not a sports person.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Oh Kevin jinks you he said it was so easy.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
Sorry, no, but I know what it is because I
remember seeing it last night.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Up Mark Madness, Hey, you got it.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Congratulations, that's two up, two down. You're going to see
the fuzzy dolls.
Speaker 10 (22:09):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Congratulations.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Bethany low nerve wracking there, but we're so happy you
pulled it out that was at ten out of ten
confidence level.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
That's what got you.
Speaker 10 (22:16):
There, absolutely well, and it helps that it was Mark Mark.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yeah, it's kind of an easy one, Bethany.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
We're gonna put you on hold for just a second. Okay,
we got to get all your info from you.
Speaker 8 (22:25):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Three things you need to know, all right, all right,
a bit past eight o'clock here on this Monday morning.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
There's currently a police barricade on Shelby av. We don't
have all the details just yet, but we what we
do know so far is that police were responding to
a call in the area when shots were fired. This
suspect has barricaded himself or herself inside an apartment and
is refusing to leave. Their are negotiators on the scene.
SWAT officials were seen arriving to the apartment building at
(22:54):
around seven thirty a m.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
No one has been hurt.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
MmpD has asket residents a void this area at this time.
They've blocked off South fifth South fifth Street. The I
twenty four West Shelby ab exit is also closed. Fag
Olin Street is closed and blocked off that whole area.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Just try to avoid it.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
As much as humanly possible right now, because obviously this
is going to They're gonna need to take their time
with this, so we will keep you updated as things
come through. SNL has announced possibly the funniest lineup for
April fourth.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Jack Black is going to host and Jack White is
going to perform.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
How perfect is that?
Speaker 1 (23:33):
The jokes obviously right themselves.
Speaker 5 (23:35):
There are lots of comments under the announcement on their
Instagram with people saying things like, quote so together, they're
Jack Gray quote jacked up for this and then obviously
a lot of sexual puns is related to Jack as well.
I'm sure they're going to have fun with it on
the show on April fourth. Obviously it's just the most
perfect lineup that you can possibly believe, just because.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Of the name too long.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
To be honest with you, I agree. New TikTok trend
alert for everybody. People are listening to an old disco
era song to manifest wealth, So Ring My Bell by
Anita A.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Ward.
Speaker 5 (24:09):
It's taking over TikTok right now. I love when old
songs have a rebirth like this. But people are claiming
that the song carries a quote abundance frequency.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
That can help manifest wealth and success.
Speaker 5 (24:20):
So some creators are adding it to their daily routines
and saying that it's kind of brought upon good news,
job updates, business opportunities, things like that. After they've done it,
experts are saying that there's no scientific or research or
evidence that goes with this. There's nothing that says that
a specific money frequency actually exists. But music can boost
(24:41):
confidence and improve mindset, so there might be a link
right there. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three
things you need to know.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
One oh seven, five, Ricky zach and mannow in the morning.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
Have you ever had a random thought and then ended
up hyper fixating on that random thought? It's Ricky Zachamno
in the morning on one of side and five the river.
This happens to me sometimes typically when I'm about to
fall asleep.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Okay, yeah, I can relate to that.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
There's just a random thought I have and then I
just spiral into this hyperfixation on what that thought was.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
I had a recent one that I have to tell
you about.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Yemn, You're gonna play Bruno Mars and then please tell
us your most recent Ricky, your most recent thought that
you got fixated on. Couldn't sleep because you were thinking
about what we're gonna find out that blow your mind.
Speaker 6 (25:25):
Ricky, Zach and Menno in the Morning on.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Ricky said just moment ago, right before that song, that
she had a thought while laying in bed, hyper fixating
on it.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Couldn't turn the brain off.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
We've all been there, but she said that this, this
particular thought would blow our minds what she was focused.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
On, because it doesn't make any sense why I was
hyperfixating on this. I'm asking this because or telling you
this because I want to know that I'm not alone
in this. I had this thought though about submarines. I
started to think about submarines.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Like actuals, like under the water, not sandwiches.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
Not sandwiches, submarines under like, how do they flow like
that underwater without drowning?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
The boats not alive? What do you mean?
Speaker 5 (26:04):
What's the biggest submarine to ever exist? Can you suffocate
inside of a submarine? How much does a submarine cost?
Are there regular humans who own submarines or is it
just the military? Like my brain just spiraled and I
hyper fixated on this whole idea about submarines.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Okay, I mean those are some good questions.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
That is crazy that that's the thing you would be
laying about thinking about all those questions.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
But yeah, yeah, I mean I don't know the answer
to all those.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
I spiraled and I had to google things, and I
had to ask people obviously on the internet, like if
they knew the answers to these things. Just so you know,
there are people who own submarines who are not.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
The military, okay, I mean no idea why I know
they are.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Like private, like those didn't A bunch of people lose
their lives in that like deep sea exploration thing like
there are some private companies that do these.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
But there are also just private humans who apparently own
their own submarines. For what reason, I do not know.
I think it's really just like to be able to
do it.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
I guess when you have too much money, it just
you know, people spend it on the weirdest thuffs, just.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
The weird things. Uh.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
And also like that you could suffocate in one if
the CO two increases and displaces oxygen, So you could
die in a submarine, not by drowning there's water all
around you, but because you don't have air left anymore.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Sure that's a crazy thought, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Well, I have no interest in ever going in a submarine.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
I would go in a submarine. You would, I would?
I would, But like now.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Knowing this kind of frees you, maybe I wouldn't, But
like I just I couldn't stop thinking about it. I
was hyper fixated on submarines, why they exist, how they exist, how.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
They even work.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
And I just need to know that I'm not the
only person that has random thoughts that they then take
them down these spiral paths. Yeah, have you ever had
something that you've hyper fixated on that makes no sense?
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (27:48):
If if you can think of something that you have
kind of been in a similar situation with just your
brain cannot stop thinking about the six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
one oh seven. We want to hear what yours is.
It's just crazy. Now with techno and the internet, we
can go down these rabbit holes.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
But back in the.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Day, we just you know, sat with our own thoughts.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Sat with your own thoughts.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
You never got resolution if you didn't know something you
didn't know.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Of one Ricky, Zach and Menow in the morning.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Harry Styles hosted SNL over the weekend, and he did
a phenomenal job. Okay, every single thing that I've seen
was so good. I could have watched live because I
was traveling, but he was absolutely phenomenal. And he is
our daily double tap on one O seven five the
River today for an impersonation that he did.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
If you don't know any of these names, okay, we'll
try to make it, you know, easy to follow here.
But there's a comedian named Sebastian Maniscalco, and now Marcelo,
who is an SNL cast member, has done this impression
of Sebastian before.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
It's great, it's so good, and now.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Harry was doing the impression of Sebastian with Marcello also
doing it the same sketch whatever, but this is just Harry.
Today's daily double tap is Harry's impression of Sebastian Maniscalco
from SNL.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Here it is run.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
This, guys and what right out of school?
Speaker 5 (29:06):
He got the security footage, So, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Of the jury, I yes, why would he do that?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
To see this?
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Dean?
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Hear the voice come out of Harry styles face it
like it almost doesn't compute, it doesn't make sense.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Phenomenal.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
Sebastian's known for being very animated for his stand up's
very animated. He's very like Italian when he's talking, he
talks to you like this, so like. He's very well
known for those specific things that he does, and Marcella
Hernandez does a phenomenal job of impersonating him. I was
not expecting Harry Styles to do so well.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Not at all shocking, so good. It was so good.
I loved it so much. That's today's Daily Devil tap.
I can't wait to see what happens next if Sebastian
goes on the show on the
Speaker 4 (29:56):
River Ricky Zach and Mannow in the morning
