Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Happy Friday. We made it to Friday. Thank you for
starting with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Justin Bieber and Usher reportedly got into it at the
Oscars after party.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Some said it was what you would call a heated.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Exchange, others said a fistfight with Sources told the anonymous
celebrity outlet du Moy that that wasn't as bad as
they say it was. Apparently Usher wanted to chat with
Justin but approached him in a very off putting way,
which led to Justin just blowing him off. Usher has
been considered a mentor to Justin Bieber, but it kind
(00:36):
of looks like right now, Justin maybe separating himself from
him at this point.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Obviously, we don't truly know anything.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
We weren't there, but we can go ahead and assume
they're not on good terms right now. The group working
to bring Major League Baseball to Music City is going
to host an opening day watch.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Party, which is really cool.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
So the party's going to be held at Category ten
on Thursday, March twenty six.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
It's all ages.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
There's going to be games playing, live music ballpark concessions,
which like honestly, I just want to go for the concessions,
and there will be limited edition National Stars merch which
is really really cool and another reason why I want
to go.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
But like I said, that's happening on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
At Category ten and Pinterest, they have released their twenty
twenty six Spring Trends Report, so they kind of look
at everything that people are interested in when it comes
to decorating their house, what they're wearing this season, things
like that. The top home design trends for the season include.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Ditching all white. Specifically in kitchens.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
People are really opting for bright, colorful ones, and they're
really embracing natural materials like marble and wood.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
There's a lot more wood.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Because people are really into vintage vibes right now. Also
micro renovations, so instead of gutting your entire kitchen or
your whole bathroom, just doing little things that can really
change the space and the way that it loves books.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
It helps save money. All of us are looking any
which way to save.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Money right now, So think micro renovations if you're kind
of like, oh, we really need an update. And reading nooks.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
I love this.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Reading nooks are a big trend this spring. It's something
that a lot of people are planning to work on
in their house to kind of give it a new life.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
I'm r Casanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Ricky is Zach and Mano. In the morning on.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Happy Friday, everybody.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Welcome Robert in Nashville at one O seven five the River.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Good morning, Robert.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
How are you all doing.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
We're good, We're good.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
We're exciting for the weekend. How do you feel about
the weekend?
Speaker 4 (02:41):
You had anything good planned?
Speaker 5 (02:43):
I've got a couple of board game of it. So
I'm running a D and D campaign and I'm getting
some sleep.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
I love I love it. So wait, what do you
do with the dungeons and dragons on the board games?
Speaker 7 (02:52):
What's your role?
Speaker 5 (02:53):
So the Dungeon and Dragons game, I am the dungeon master.
I'm running a homebrew campaign with some friends size in
Atlanta right now, and then I'm going to an event
for Marvel Champions, which is a cooperative card game or
or beating up bad guys.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I am so fascinated by Dungeons and Dragons name especially.
I know this might sound I don't know how you
guys feel about this, but after watching Stranger Things especially,
I'm very intrigued by how it all works. Do you
guys hate Stranger Things for that or do you love
that now you have like new people wondering more and
more about dungeons and dragons.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
I think they do a really good job of portraying
how the game was at that time. I think that
it created a huge spike in the fan base, and
anytime that something I love gets supported.
Speaker 8 (03:37):
I love it back.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Oh, it's so cool.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
That is cool, so cool because it could have gone
the other way.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You could have been like, yeah, no, they're doing a
terrible job portraying our passion.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
But no, this is cool.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
There are absolutely many different ways that could have gone
very badly. But I think that it was a cool adaptation.
I think it was a lot of fun. I think
they do a good job with it.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Awesome. I love it.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
It sounds like you're gonna have a great weekend, Robert.
I'm a little jealous.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
Great one, thankank you.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
And you're starting it off right because you are the
first caller of the day.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
On one O seven five the River.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
You're going to get to see joh Mulaney at arriving
on June thirteenth.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (04:15):
You're so I'm trying to look up over here.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I'm frantically googling to make some D and D references
to make you feel.
Speaker 7 (04:21):
At home, but I got nothing.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
So it was a valiant effort.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Heaven, we'll call.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
It a critical success.
Speaker 7 (04:28):
A critical success for supplying that reference. We appreciate it.
Hang on, so you.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Get all your ink, Robert absolute, Thank you so much, buddy.
Speaker 7 (04:37):
Have a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
I like, I of want to start playing.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I feel like it's a real big investments so cool.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
After you learned the harmonica and that other language, I.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Killing it in Spanish, okay you yes.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
Jerk In the morning.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Every Friday, Zach runs down a little list of things
cool things happening around town. And it is the first
official weekend of spring. You made it through the winter, Nashville.
It was a rough one, but it was very rough.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, well.
Speaker 7 (05:13):
I mean getting based on the calendar. I'm not saying
the weather okay.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Because right now this is fake spring. Okay, sure, let's embrace.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
It all weekend and have a good weekend. So what
can we get into, Zach?
Speaker 9 (05:23):
Yeah, the weather is actually supposed to be very beautiful
this weekend.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
So this I love. It's called the March Community Day.
Speaker 9 (05:29):
It's happening tomorrow from nine am to one pm at
Glenn Leavin Farm. It's at four thousand Franklin Pike here
in Nashville. And so you walk along the scenic property.
It's a one point four mile nature trail and you
just like take in the beauty of the open fields
in the forest. And they have miniature donkeys on site
that you can pet and hang out with.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
So if you want to go, it's free.
Speaker 9 (05:50):
You just show up and you explore nature and you
pet the miniature donkeys.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Do you think I'm small enough to get on a
miniature donkey? Yeah, I'm only four to eleven. I feel
like I can fit on it. I think it'd be
feel like a person, right, a horse?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Right?
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Yeah? Yes, that's It's a perfect way to put it.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Making sure we're on the same page here, We're all there, babe.
Speaker 9 (06:06):
Also opening this weekend at the Nashville Zoo, this is
so cool. It's called Dino Track. It is their interactive
dinosaur exhibit. It opens this week and it goes all
the way through July. But this is the first weekend
that it's open at the Nashville Zoo, and it has
like fifty dinosaurs that are giant and animatronic. So they're
saying to walk down the hidden path as these dinosaurs
spit his roar.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
And move because also I think it's the first time
in like three years or something that they're doing it.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
So it's back after a long hiatus.
Speaker 6 (06:35):
Yeah, which is really.
Speaker 7 (06:36):
Cool dinosaur yeh not.
Speaker 9 (06:40):
Also, two things I want to end it with is
Nashville SC is playing Orlando City on Saturday games at
five pm. It is the same Surge Bobblehead Night for
the Nashville SC at Giotis Park.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
That's Saturday.
Speaker 9 (06:52):
And then our Nashville Predators are playing the Vegas Golden
Knights tomorrow as well at one pm. And it's Military
Week for the pred So the first one thousand fans
get a trucker hat presented by Forward.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Correct.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
Yeah very much, Zach.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Get out there, enjoy the city this weekend. The weather
should be nice. We appreciate that, Zach.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Three things you need to know, all.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Right, just after seven o'clock, we do have new music
from BTS coming right after three things. But first before
we get there, presented by Mark Spain Real Estate. Ricky's
gout those three.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Things, So the Bachelorette we got to talk about all
of the things happening. This was an intense last few
days for Taylor Frankie Paul who is the Bachelorette.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
It's also reality TV stars.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
She's part of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and
Mom Talk on TikTok. She's the new bachelorette for this season.
She was picked last year. This was a heavy focus
on the latest season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
which I just finished yesterday. The new season of The
Bachelorette was set to officially premiere this weekend, but it
looks like they made the decision to scrap it after
(07:52):
news of her past has come to light.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Although I'm also now seeing.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Some reports of the fact that it's like on pause
instead of being canceled. So there's two different reporting happening here. Okay,
so it's either paused or canceled. I don't actually know
what's going on, because I don't think that anybody knows
what's going on. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is also
paused for the next season they're taping right now. And
all of the girls have come out and said that
(08:16):
they collectively agreed to pause the production of next season
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. During all of this, a
video surface of Taylor Frankie Paul physically attacking her now
ex Dakota and the father of her one child. At
one point, she threw metal chairs at him. It's not
a great video. It's really hard to watch, honestly. This
incident happened in twenty twenty three and is something that
(08:38):
she previously pled guilty to in court over The two
of them are known for having a very toxic relationship.
It's a huge talking point on the show, a huge
problem on the show. It is something that a lot
of them has spoken out about being very toxic. I
will also add I am a big fan of Secret Lives,
So I watched the entire season and it didn't really
look like she was like ready to go on the
(08:59):
batchel or at either.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
So we'll see how this goes. As of right now, it's.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Either canceled or paused, but I'll keep you updated as
much as I possibly can. National's annual Earth Day Festival
is going to return to Centennial Park. It's happening on
Saturday April eighteenth. This is also known as AJ Day.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
My fiance he loves this day. We go every year.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
It's a free event. They're gonna have over seventy five
different vendors. There's tree giveaways, they give away trees. There's
an electric vehicle car show, lots of live music, and
a kid section.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
It's truly a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I really do think that you should go out if
you can Saturday April eighteenth to celebrate the annual Earth
Day calendar.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
I will be there. I will be there for AJ Day.
Speaker 7 (09:46):
He's the Mayor of Earth, he really is.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
And we now have a positive TikTok trend.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Silent walking is what it's called. It's a wellness trend
on TikTok. It's all about ditching your headphones, your phone,
any kind of distractions and taking a more mindful stroll,
which experts are saying is great for your heart, health
and your brain. So walking in silence can help calm
your nervous system, lower stress hormones, and boost benefits like
improved blood pressure and circulation. It can also bring a
(10:15):
lot of mental clarity, creativity, and a stronger sense of
connection with yourself.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
So try it.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
Silent walking, being alone with my thoughts.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Nah, and those are the three things.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
You need to know.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Nice try Satan. Thank you new music Friday, and we've
got world premier music. This is fantastic BTS. I've got
a new album out today. This song is called Swim.
You're hearing it for the first time right here. On
one oh seven five, the River.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Class is in Sessions Sacks. Fact one.
Speaker 9 (10:47):
Do you guys have any idea what the prongs on
a fork are called?
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (10:51):
I did notice at one point It's like, no, I
forgot times.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Oh I was gonna make a different Yes, what was
your guest? I'm not gonna say no, go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 7 (11:03):
In appropriate.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
No, my fingers is.
Speaker 7 (11:10):
What I was gonna call them.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Dogs came totally dongs. It's what came in myrine.
Speaker 9 (11:15):
Okay, Well, I was gonna say, you forced me.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
They're called times. And that's your fact of the day.
Speaker 7 (11:21):
Not totally Dogs, Rocky by Mark's bad real Estate.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
This is a petition to change with the totally dogs.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Ricky Zach and Mennow in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
When did you ask.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Your kids to lie? It's Ricky Zachamano in the Morning.
On one o seventy five the River. Kevin used to
ask his son to lie about his age so they
can board the plane before anybody.
Speaker 7 (11:43):
Else family boarding on the Southwest flights. That was clutch.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
But you asked him to lie?
Speaker 7 (11:48):
Well, yeah, lying, he is a part of life. You
gotta teach him to tell.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
This little time, I was trying to think of, like
if my parents ever actually asked me to lie about anything,
and I'm sure they did, okay, because the pretty unethical,
but the only thing that I could think of, And Zach,
you sparked this thought, Oh what because yours has to
do with theme parks.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
My mom used to like, because we loved.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Roller coaster, so my mom would always be like, when
we were so close to being tall enough to get
on the roller coaster, she would basically be like, just
stand really tall and like on your tippy toes just
a little bit, And so we would lie about our height,
which is probably not the most like.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
SA situation, but it was like when we were.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
So close, especially me, because I'm just a short girl.
Speaker 7 (12:35):
D soon, I promise, I really growth spurd here.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
So I've been four eleven since I was like in
fifth grade, sixth grade, so like I haven't grown, it's
so long.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
But she would always just be like, just stay a
little taller. Sure, you're just there.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
I think it's fine because I would because I was
so close, and they'd be like, Nope, can't do it.
Speaker 7 (12:54):
Just a little stand Zach. What was yours about? Enemies?
Speaker 9 (13:00):
So we took our niece and nephew to Dollywood and
it's like thirty dollars cheaper to buy the child ticket.
So our niece is eleven, and I was like, Sarah,
don't forget, you're actually nine. Yes, And so she we
literally walked up and she's like, why am I saying
I'm nine, I'm actually eleven.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
I was like, be quiet, we're trying.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
To save thirty bucks.
Speaker 9 (13:17):
But I will say I felt very guilty because it
was at Dollywood, and I feel like I lied to
Dolly directly.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
She's okay, she's gonna she's gonna be all right.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
She'll be fine.
Speaker 9 (13:26):
But like every other thing, I'm like corporate greed. Like
I don't really care.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
I know she's a good person, she's great, send her.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
A check for thirty bucks.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
I just want to say that you guys are corrupting
the youth of America.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
It's lie. It's an important skill to have. Six one five, seven,
three seven nine, one oh seven. When did you ask
your kids to lie?
Speaker 7 (13:44):
You, guys? This just sparked in my address.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Nothing, Kevin says, Oh, go ahead.
Speaker 7 (13:48):
This might be one of the first ones that I
had as a child. Does the schwan man mean anything to.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
You, guys?
Speaker 10 (13:53):
Is that?
Speaker 4 (13:53):
What is a swan man?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
It was like somebody would go around in like a
refrigerated truck selling food door to door, okay, and so ours.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
When I was growing up, his name was Roger.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
He was very annoying, and my parents would make me
go answer the door and tell Roger that they weren't home.
Speaker 7 (14:09):
They were home.
Speaker 11 (14:11):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
That one's actually like really serious.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
One six seven, three seven nine, one oh seven. When
did you as a child or when did you make
your kids lie?
Speaker 7 (14:19):
Let us know?
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Ella in Nashville, Good morning, welcome to one O seven
five the River. Are you the parent that asked your
kids to lie? Or did your parents ask you to
lie as a kid.
Speaker 10 (14:35):
I'm the guilty parents told their kids to lie.
Speaker 7 (14:39):
I'm excited we all do it.
Speaker 10 (14:42):
Oh my goodness, and my kids aren't here, Like, Mom,
you need a call. I'm guilty of going to a
buffet restaurant and having my kids lie.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
About Okay, yeah, what was the deal? Like, how much
money did you, guys say, if you had a kid
of name?
Speaker 10 (14:58):
That's a sad part. Probably only with takes like seven dollars, Hey,
seven dollars. That adds five kids, five, that's a big.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Quick you go to that buffet and fill up a
trash bag or something with lyrale.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
I do appreciate the fact that your kids are like, Mom,
you have to call. You're talking about you, calling you out.
Speaker 10 (15:27):
Thanks dud and over here snickering and laughing as they're
listening to me.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Mom is teaching you important life lessons kids.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Yeah, thank you, have a great day, and hide everybody
in the car, all the kids.
Speaker 7 (15:43):
That is a car fall right there. Thanks for calling, guys,
Thanks for starting to day with us. Uh Chelsea and
Nashville is on the line.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Chelsea, did you ask your kids to lie about something
or were you the liar when you were a kid.
Speaker 11 (15:52):
I was the liar.
Speaker 10 (15:53):
When I was the kid.
Speaker 11 (15:54):
Tell us my mom used to have me lie about
my age every time we would go out to eat
because at a certain age, kids always ate free. When
I was younger, yeah, and every I was such a
small kid that every time we went eight it was
whatever age was free.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
So how long were you six years old? I didn't
even remember your entire childhood. You were six the entire time?
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Yes, I'm six years old.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Did you guys, did anybody, any of you ever have
to lie or lie on purpose about a birthday to
get a free desert or anything in a restaurant?
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (16:27):
Yeah, you do.
Speaker 9 (16:31):
Literally during my birthday month. Everywhere that I go every
day is my birthday always.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Well, Chelsea, if it makes you feel any better, it
seems to me that this is.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
A common reoccurring theme and it has to do a
lot with eating out.
Speaker 11 (16:42):
My daughter is three right now, and she's a little
girl too, like we're gonna do the same thing.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
It's fine, she's gonna be three forever.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Yeah, passing down that liar, Jean, Chelsea.
Speaker 7 (16:54):
Thanks for calling, Chelsea. We appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
A great day.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
I feel better now knowing that everybody doing this.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Oh, Kevin's over there smiling ear to ear. He feels
so much better right now.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
I also I remember the first time Ali and I
had like snuck snacks into the movie theater.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
My kids were like, why why aren't you just buying them?
And there's too expensive at the theater.
Speaker 6 (17:12):
They are so expensive at the theater.
Speaker 7 (17:14):
You gotta teach him this stuff.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Oh, that just comes down to like things you learn
as you get older.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yeah, we're playing the Game of the Day for pussy
Cat Dolls tickets. This is gonna be a great show.
You're gonna call for these next.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on the River.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
It's Kevin Mano's Game of the Day on one oh
seven five the River. More specifically, it's topical trivia. That's
what you gotta play to get these tickets to the
Pussycat Dolls.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
That a sent Amphitheater on July twenty ninth.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
Peyton and Nashville. Good morning, How are you?
Speaker 9 (17:42):
I'm good?
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Are you good?
Speaker 7 (17:44):
What do you got going on this weekend? The weather
should be nice, just.
Speaker 10 (17:46):
Soccer games with my kids.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Yeah, at least it's gonna be warm out.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
I used to be a lacross coach and those cold days,
the rainy days, we even had snowy days.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
Ooh, that was rough Field's character.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
I know the aim.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Like Ricky said his topical trivia trivia questions based on
things happening in the world. If you get two out
of three of them, these tickets are years. Are you ready, Peyton?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I guess so?
Speaker 4 (18:09):
Are you are?
Speaker 7 (18:10):
Confidence your game starts right now?
Speaker 10 (18:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (18:14):
Question number one?
Speaker 2 (18:15):
What country just defeated Team USA in the World Baseball Classic?
Speaker 7 (18:20):
Who was a big upset?
Speaker 10 (18:24):
I don't know that one.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
You don't know that, okay, just not even gonna guess.
I'd throw out a country.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
No, I'm not not gonna guess.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
All right, it was Venezuela. That might have been tough.
I like to save the tough ones for Fridays.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
That is a tough one, the worst day for him,
to save the hard ones for Peyton.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
I'm sorry, I'm not good at you guys. Sorry, that's okay,
that's okay. You got two more questions?
Speaker 2 (18:44):
What? Chicago based Annual Music Festival just announce their lineup,
which includes Charlie XCX, Tate McCrae, and.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Lord Oh No, it's a funky name.
Speaker 7 (19:01):
I love Lollapalu. I'll never say enough good thing about lollablues.
That's my favorite festival. All Right, you get this, you win,
you don't you lose?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
A creature, A creature named Punch recently win viral.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
He is currently at a zoo in Japan. What is Punch?
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Is it?
Speaker 7 (19:22):
Ricky's obsessed with this little boy.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I love him. Yeah, it's a key.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
There you go.
Speaker 7 (19:31):
I love a victory on a Friday. Congratulations, you're going
to see the pussy Cat Dolls.
Speaker 10 (19:35):
Yay?
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Thanks?
Speaker 7 (19:36):
Three things?
Speaker 2 (19:38):
All right, a bit past eight o'clock. Happy Friday, friends,
We love a Friday. Ricky's got those three things presented
by Marx being real estate.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Ricky?
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Taylor Swift is going to be at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
This is huge because it's going to be the first
time that she's at an award show this year. The
iHeart Radio Music Awards are happening at the Dolby Theater
in Los Angeles on Thursday, which you can watch life
I've on Fox and across iHeartRadio platforms nationwide.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
It's obviously gonna be a big moment.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Taylor is actually the most awarded artist in iHeartRadio Music
Awards history, and she leads this year's show with nine nominations.
So gonna be an exciting time. We're all really really
pumped to see Taylor. There a few updates of our
Tennessee teams participating in March Madness. Vandy men's basketball played
yesterday in their first match of March Madness.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
They played McNeese.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
State Cowboys and they won the game seventy eight to
fifty eight, so good for them. Vandy plays Nebraska tomorrow
night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. TSU
is playing their first round matchup against the Iowa State
Cyclones this afternoon. The first round of the women's tournament
starts today. Lady balls, they're gonna play NC State.
Speaker 10 (20:47):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
So we're ruined for all of them. We want them
all to do amazing throughout this entire tournament. Obviously, we
have a lot of pride in all of our local teams,
all of our Tennessee teams, and White Claw.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
They have opened a one million dollar bar.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Tab for March Madness fans, So fans you can go
get a White Claw at a participating bar. You upload
your receipt and then you're gonna get a rebate or
a gift card, so you're gonna get money back for
a drinking white cloth.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
The brand is teaming.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Up with Barsool Sports Caleb Presley along with Almost Fridays
their crew to bring this open tab situation to a
bunch of places across the country and throughout the tournament.
So the tab is gonna run through early April. Obviously,
you gotta do a little extra work in order to
get it. But if you are a White Claw fan
and you decide to get some, make sure that you
upload that receipt to try and get your rebate or
(21:36):
your gift card.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
I'm rick Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on the river.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
All right, you guys ready to get into the leftovers?
Speaker 7 (21:47):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
So the leftovers are stories that we didn't get to
this week. Each of us has thirty seconds to share one.
I'm gonna kick it off with Saint Patrick's state traditions
that started in the US because we just celebrated Saint
Patty's Day.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
Thirty seconds on the clock, all right.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
So parades.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
The first Saint Patrick Da Parade was on March seventeenth,
seventeen sixty two in Manhattan when Irish soldiers stationed with
British troops held a procession. Dublin didn't have its first
parade for the holiday until nineteen thirty one.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
Oh wow, that's like one hundred and fifty years.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Corned beef and cabbage. It was actually a struggling Irish
immigrant dish. Everybody that came from Ireland to New York City.
It was cheaper to do that than their typical ham
and cabbage that they ate back in Ireland. So corned
beef and cabbage is a US thing. Green Beer US
nineteen fourteen at a social club in the Bronx in
New York City, where doctor Thomas Hayes Curtain and Irish
(22:40):
immigrant came up with the idea interesting and dying of
River Grange.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Chicago's known for this.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Nineteen sixty two was the first time that they did that,
and it is the beginning of that tradition here in
the US.
Speaker 7 (22:52):
All right, thank you for that, Rickie, very educational.
Speaker 9 (22:54):
Now I'm going to add to your list really quickly
because I was just in Ireland. An American thing is
also pinching people if they're not wearing like that's only
an American.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Thing, not a thing that they do in Ireland to.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Zach, you've got thirty seconds, buddy, what do you bring
into the table today for the leftovers?
Speaker 9 (23:09):
So today I'm gonna tell you some phrases that they say.
Do not ever say these because they manifest really bad vibes. Okay, okay,
So if you only want good vibes in your life,
the phrases that you should never say is I'm just unlucky,
or nothing is ever easy, my life is a mess.
This is the worst say ever it's too late for me.
So basically, all of the negative things that you like
(23:30):
feel because that's a regular human emotion, is like you feel.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Like like, well that's just a lost cause.
Speaker 9 (23:36):
Don't say those because then it's like manifesting really bad vibe.
Speaker 7 (23:39):
Sure, negative self talk, that's harmful.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
YEPF is a mess daily.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Well stop saying that.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
But your life is a mess. So for you, I
say it love. I say it with love. Lastly, here,
I just heard about this. Maybe people know about this.
I don't know, but I heard about something called nostalgia therapy.
I've been doing it for years, not knowing it had
a name. So it involves like viewing old photos, listening
(24:05):
to music that would be the thing that I do
from your youth, uh, smelling familiar sense, reviewing personal items
like memory boxes. It helps combat loneliness, anxiety, and depression.
It subconsciously reminds you who you are, beyond your current problems.
Speaker 7 (24:18):
For kay, I'm looking at you.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
I will say, if I can sense that my wife
is stressed about stuff like I'll just like kind of
secretly put on like the Rent soundtrack or something that
she used to like when she was younger, and I
feel like boosts her mood.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
This is there's a real thing to it.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
I'll listen to music from my youth all the time,
and it makes me feel better.
Speaker 7 (24:41):
It just does.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
So if you're feeling anxiety or panic attack creeping on,
go listen to some of your favorite music, or watch
an old movie or something.
Speaker 9 (24:47):
Are you just trying to feel young again, Kevin, since
you was that?
Speaker 3 (24:51):
But also I will say, I didn't believe you originally
that there was going to be anything that you've been
doing that could help.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
But I think it does.
Speaker 7 (24:58):
All I think it does, I'm telling you it.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
So I'm on board now, Kez.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Next time you're feeling stress, try And that concludes the left.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Card, Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
Ricky, have you done your taxes yet?
Speaker 4 (25:11):
No?
Speaker 7 (25:11):
No, it's one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
You knew I was gonna say no. Why did you.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
Give all as well?
Speaker 2 (25:16):
I was teeing us up for the Daily double Tap today,
we're a couple of minutes away from the Daily double
tab and it sort of has to do with.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Taxes and the fact that I'm definitely not alone in
the way that I feel about taxes.
Speaker 6 (25:25):
And the fact that they don't even teach us how.
Speaker 7 (25:27):
To do them. That is sort of the headline of
the Daily Double Tap today. Why why are we not
learning the stuff in school?
Speaker 4 (25:34):
I don't know, the failure of the system.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
Gonna hear it after you count.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
It's next on the river Ricky, Zach and Meno in
the morning one.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
So, now that we've gotten it out of the way,
that I have not done my taxes because I am lazy,
and also it frustrates me that.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
I don't know how to do taxes. Now we'll get into.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
The Daily double tab on one of seven five the River.
That's all about doing taxes and the frustration that comes
along with it.
Speaker 9 (25:58):
And the fact that nobody teaches you how to do it, no,
Like it makes me actually insane.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
But they do teach us.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Other stuff that like the government knows what I owe them,
and they know what they owe me.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
They keep checked.
Speaker 7 (26:11):
Nothing about it makes sense, not at all. Here we
go the daily devil tip.
Speaker 8 (26:15):
I am so glad I learned about parallel grams in
high school instead of learning how to do my taxes,
because it comes in so much handy doing Parallelogram season.
That's why I owed this year instead of teaching us
some last year that's gonna stick. You don't gave us
a fake baby to take care of that didn't teach
nobody nothing. That just teaches me how to drop them
off to my mama.
Speaker 7 (26:33):
I love Parallelogram season.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
It's the season, babe.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Because it's such a solid point.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Why are we learning those things as opposed to like
life skills when we should be learning all of it
in reality, like every part of it has, you know,
something to do with daily life and something to do
with a learning process. But like, come on, why are
we not taught how to do our taxes, taxes, how.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
To start the washing machine? Like there should be.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
So that's I think you think.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
There should be so many different Did you guys have
the fake baby and like homemak or whatever.
Speaker 7 (27:05):
You ask that you did, Zach, I did.
Speaker 6 (27:09):
I took home and I gave it directly to my mother,
just like she said.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
We had a I think it was like a bag
of flour that we had to just keep intact.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
We had something similar to that. We had like a
stuffed animal that we had to bring in and do it.
But we didn't have any of those fancy ones that
like cry in the bathroom.
Speaker 9 (27:25):
With the cars everything. Oh my god, it was so dramatic.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Wild
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the morning,
