Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three days you need to Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
Welcome to a brand new one just after six o'clock. Here,
Happy Wednesday. Ricky's Got those three things? Presented by Mark
Spain Real Estate. What's Happened in Ricky?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
The TV show Jury Duty has been renewed for season three.
Season two debuted earlier this year with Nashville and Anthony
Norman as the latest unsuspecting lead. The whole idea around
the show, in case you don't know, is that one
person doesn't realize that where they're at is not a
real place. First, it was actual jury Duty. Last year
it was a company retreat where the one guy, Anthony
(00:35):
had no idea that this was all fake and completely
playing out the way that they wanted to.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
So now we're gonna have a season three. We don't
know if the.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Same creative team is going to be behind this one
as they were for season one and season two, but
we're gonna get a different scenario. We just don't know
what it is. I don't know where they're gonna go
from here. I was shocked if we came up with
company retreat. Seasons one and two of are streaming on
Amazon Prime Video. If you want to check them out.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
NES has launched.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
A new mobile app. The app is pretty cool. Actually,
I never thought I'd say anything cool about a NES honestly,
but it has the same features as the my account
page online, So when you go to a nespower dot com,
everything that you have there will be in the app.
That means that customers can pay bills, check account details,
and most importantly, you can get outages updated right from
(01:27):
your phone, which is the biggest deal.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Out of all of this.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
The new app is supposed to be all about convenience
and ease, which is something a lot of customers question
when it comes to NEES, especially after the most recent
power outages in January that left thousands tens of thousands
of people without power. So this will be a nice
and easier way for you to actually check out your
power outages in your area, which I love personally as
(01:52):
someone who has a NES and seven to eleven is
doing a Slurpy Happy Hour this summer.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I love this. There's Slurpy Cappy.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Hour is giving rewards members a dollar slurpee every day
from three to six pm at participating seven elevens Speedways
and Stripe locations. The promotion is gonna run through August
twenty fifth, so it's all summer long that you can.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Get these slurpees for a dollar. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and
those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I like it, I like the affordability factor, but that
seems like too many slurpees.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Nobody should be having a slurpy every day, right, Kevin?
Why are you such a buzzkill? Slurpees are delightful and
we have but few things in.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
This world that still make us happy. Let us have
the dollar slurpees.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Don't have a slurpey every day, everybody.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Thanks Ricky, having if you want to and tell Kevin
to go to help.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah, your best life, but also take care of yourself.
Alex ward Ta gets on the way for.
Speaker 4 (02:46):

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, congratulations. I did hear a child in the background
a second ago. What are you guys doing right now?
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Well, we're sitting on the side of the road so
I can make a song call.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Oh no, I hope that they're not like, are you
on the way to school?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Are you gonna be late for school? It's so early.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
No, they're not gonna be like Okay, okay, just making
you're saying so early. You don't know what the line
looks like to drop these kids off.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
You don't know where they go? Yeah, I guess I
don't know any school.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
We'll start before seven am, though you don't know nothing.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
They drop off at a sitters house and get on
the bus and then they go and I have to
be at work at seven fifteen.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Okay, So he's actually the one that's gonna be late.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
So we're just gonna go ahead and put you on
hole for one second so we can get your info,
and then we're gonna let you go.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
So that you can get to work on time.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Okay, thank you, congratulations, and I'm glad.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
You pulled over to the side of the road. Safety first,
We talk about that all the time.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
We want to make sure that you're safe when you're
calling us.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
You guys are so old. Why coming from down who
will crash his car eight times in a year? Yeah,
it's fine, Jack. How is being safe an old person thing?
What do you even mean? Make sure you pull over?
Old keV Okay be here tomorrow for more of these tickets.
Alex Morren tickets same time tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Five the River.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Kevin is about to tell us his cat sob story.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
On one of seven five the River.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
He's got a neighbor with a cat, Mister Migi, best
name ever I love it. And mister Miogi likes to
wander on over into his house. His kids love him,
so they let.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Him right on in.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Obviously, you and Ali are not big fans of that,
but you let it happen anyways because you're like, well,
what am I gonna do? They're just gonna keep doing
it anyway. But you said there is a development in
this story, Yeah, there is.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
First of all, I'm not a huge cat person, but
I do think.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Mister Miyagi is very cute. Mister Migi is nice. I
think mister Migi is.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Just an outside cat.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
He never goes in our neighbor's house, like he has
a litter box in their garage or something, and he
just wanders the neighborhood. So our house has sort of
become his house. I tell my kids not to feed
mister Miaogi because once you feed them, they never stop
coming back. And now the update he brought us a
dead bird?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
What oh? That means that he loves you guys. I
guess I don't like that. At first, I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
If it was a gift or a threat. But the
more I it's a gift, I think it is a gift.
But I think he brought it to your front door. Yeah,
the spot that he always sits and me ows.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yesterday I was in our house and I looked out
the window and I saw a dead bird sitting right
where he always sits.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
That's really sweet. It's obviously sad for the bird. We're
not happy about you know, what happened to the bird.
But that's the cycle of life. Yeah, and this is
like actually supposed to mean that you're part of their family,
Like it's a positive thing when a cat brings you
a dead animal.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
I don't want to be part of this family. I
don't want him to be part of our family. I
get him out of the house too late. Yeah, that's
now your cat, mister Miogi. Is your cat really sweet?
It's not sweet, it's gross.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Dogs trust and that means that it's like a predatory
like instinct thing. So they're they're trying to make sure
that you're like safe and cozy and know that you're protected.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Thanks, mister, I've always wanted a dead bird. I feel great.
I feel sick.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
You are now mister Megi's family. His old family means
nothing anymore. He's forgotten about them. You might as well
just adopt him now and just accept to your feet.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
You should be honored. Yeah, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
I don't this is this is phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Do you know what kind of cat he is? Uh?
A murderous one. I don't know. He's gray.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Okay, that is not helpful, yeah at all. Well he's
your cat now.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Okay, all right, I was hoping maybe it was go to.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
The vet, make sure he's got all his shots, put
him where he's at at all time.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
For something happens to mister, how are you gonna know?
I don't know. I'm not doing any of that. He's
not our cat, but your cat. You'd be so sad
if something happened to him, My kids would be.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
But I your bad cat dad.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
It might be the one that does the bad thing
to him. But thank you guys for your updates to
help here with mister or a fake cat Dad.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I'm actually going to petition that you don't have this
cat anymore. I'm going to have somebody else adopted.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Give us a call if you have any tips or
how I can get this cat out of our house
because I don't want him. Three things as We're so
happy you're here starting your Wednesday with us. Thank you
so much, Rick, He's got those three things. Presented by
Mark Spain real Estate.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Laverne High School was placed under lockdown after a second
reported threat yesterday. The high school was placed on a
secure hold while law enforcement conducted their investigation.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
They resumed classes.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Around ten thirty am after a thorough sweep of the campus.
On Monday, though, at least six Tennessee school campuses, including
Laverne High School, were placed on lockdown after bomb threats
were reported against the schools. The threats redeemed uncredible after
an investigation, but the Tennessee Department of Safety has released
a statement where in part they explained that every report
(08:41):
will be taken seriously and fully investigated to ensure safety,
as that remains their top priority. Obviously, really scary stuff.
We're hoping that this stops. We don't know exactly who
is setting in these bomb threats as of right now,
but they are looking for the suspects as that is
a crime, so they're doing their best to figure out
who is the culprit for all of this. Singer Ray
(09:05):
has landed her first major acting role. She is going
to be part of the London set crime film lineage
The movie follows a former prisoner who was pulled back
into the criminal underworld in London after their release.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Raised and some acting before.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
She appeared as herself in Netflix's Black Rabbit last year,
so she kind of knows the drill here, but this
is her first big major role, so bit congrats to her.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
I'm excited to see where this goes for her. I
watched Black Rabbit. I didn't realize that was ray crazy. Aw,
there you go and TikTok.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
They're trying to convince you to pour a can of
tomato soup into your yellow cake batter YEP.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Tomato soup cake.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
It's been a thing that's actually been around for about
a century. It first appeared in cookbooks in the late
nineteen twenties, but it's making a resurgence right now. So
despite the name, the cake doesn't really taste like tomatoes.
It's more like a pumpkin bread or spice cake, they say,
and it's usually topped with cream, cheese frosting. The soup
adds moisture and acidity, and they say, like I said,
(10:05):
it tastes more like spices than it tastes like tomato.
But it's something that everybody is doing now. They're trying
to convince everyone to start doing it. Try it for yourself.
If it sounds interesting, if you like to bake, see
what it's like. I'm just completely turned off by the
idea of tomato soup.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
I would try it. I think that sounds good.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Okay, Murky Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Know to each their own. Yum yum, I want it.
Here's Ella Langley. We are getting back into the music.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Taylor Swift, Beaber Somber all the Way plus effect zax facts.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
We are learning together.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Next class is in Sessions sax Facts, brought to you
by Mark Spain Real.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Estate on the River.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
You guys, if you're trying to unlock or lock your car,
did you know if you put the keyfop underneath your chin,
it can actually like make the distance longer.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
I don't like the idea of that. I feel like
that's doing something weird in my brain.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
So apparently, like all of the water and the electrical
conductivity of your skull actually makes it like a passive antenna,
so it makes it like further distance that you can
unlock your car.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
I don't want to use my skull for nothing. But
what it's supposed to be used for. I'm just gonna
go ahead and say that.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Now, if you're in the target parking lot and you
want to unlock the car, put it underneath your chin.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I know somebody that does this all the time.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
He's always putting his key pop up to his chin,
and it drives me crazy every time it works.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
I don't like it. I have a few questions about that. Friend. Yeah,
and there's your fact of the day.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yes, Ricky, the answer is yes, I see.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
On I want to know the most millennial thing about you,
whether you are a millennial or maybe you just gen
z and hate millennials. We want to know the most
millennial thing about you.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Mine might be my the music that I listened to,
like I have playlists on my phone, like I still
stuff from high school.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
I don't know. I mean, I still am living in
my warp tour days. That such good song. I know,
I get it. I totally understand six.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Three, seven, nine. Most millennial thing about you? We want
to hear it and we'll share more of ours next
on the.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
River Ricky is Zach and Manno in the Morning on
the river.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
You're asking the question this morning, what is the most
millennial thing about you?
Speaker 3 (12:15):
It's one oh seven five the river.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Kaitlin is in Nashville right now, she's on the line, Kaitlin,
what is it for you?
Speaker 2 (12:21):
My skinny jeans and my tank top.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
Under all my t shirts.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Not the tank top. That was such a thing. We
knew how to layer as millennial. So'll do it.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Oh yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Actually right now, I have a tank top on under
my shirt right now.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
I loved and it pokes out at the bottom. Is
it a different color and pokes out at the bottom?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Is green top and green on bottom. I'm got to
keep the color. Show love that.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I kind of feel like, I mean, did you grow
up in the nineties?
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Is that a nineties look?
Speaker 6 (12:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Well ninety six. But my mom kept me in the
real in the real genre. She wanted to make sure
I was raised right.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
So definitely, I've been to Wark Tour.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah, yes, like you mentioned, yep.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I love it. So you're it's coming back. It's coming back.
The lightering of the tank tops and everything like that.
It's a thing. Now.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
I'm seeing gen Z wear it and thinking that they
invented this.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Oh they think we did this. Caitlin, thank you for
calling this morning. We hope you have a great day.
Thanks so much, you get to bye.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
I think it's so funny, like the nineties look is
officially back, and you know they say that fashion is like,
you know, cyclical, yep, but.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
I don't remember in the nineties, we weren't dressing like
it was the sixties. True, you know, I will.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Say the only thing that I don't want to come
back is like the under high eyeliner.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Please do not bring that back. I like that look.
I'm I'm kind of okay with it. No, don't do it.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
But when it comes to the most millennial thing about you,
Kevin already said his. I would say that my most
millennial thing is that big purchases.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
I need to use my computer for like my phone
is for social media things like that.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
But when I'm buying clothes or I'm buying a plane
ticket somewhere, I.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Have to open up my laptop and use my laptop.
I mean, honestly say, I feel like it's easier that way.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
It makes SENSEI it makes sense in my head that way,
because that's just always how it's been.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
You never used to like buy big things on your phone.
I think you're right.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
I've never booked a plane ticket on my phone exactly.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
That's only for computers.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
The other thing that's very millennial about me that I
just started to kind of break myself out of is
when I'm texting and I'm typing to somebody and I
type something wrong, I type another message with the star
and the correction.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Oh, but you can't get it direct yourself. Yeah, but
you can edit the message now.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
And I've just started to edit the message instead of
sending another text message with the correction.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
You know, and this is I guess only iPhones, But
if you edit your text message, they can see what
your original one still was.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yes, you can hold down on.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
It and see that essentially the same thing as what
we used to do by just sending another message.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah, it's the correct wording. What's the most millennial thing
about you? Six one, five, seven, three seven nine.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
Thanks for being a part of our morning, Ricky, Zach
and Meno.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
In the morning, we've.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
All shared our very deep millennial things that we just
can't give up.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Keana and Nashville. What is it for you?
Speaker 1 (15:09):
For me?
Speaker 3 (15:10):
It's gonna be my book of CDs. Oh my god,
you still have it in your car? I do still
have it.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
I'm still trying to find a CD player to play them.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
But I still have two full books of CDs good nomena.
Oh my god, I'm obsessed with that.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
I might be dating myself here. I don't know if
you guys are quite as old as I am. But
did you ever have to get out of the car
and put CDs in the trunk?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Yeah? My car, my first car did have that. Okay,
uh huh, my very first car. It had not a
whole stack.
Speaker 6 (15:41):
My mom's car did.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
But no, my first car actually had a CD player.
Oh bro, you knew what you wanted.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
You were like it better have a CD player right
up front, ready for all of my stacks of CDs
for my book. Oh my god, I have such a
thrill thinking about that. Like when you would get in
the car with your friends and be like, all right,
pick a CD and hand them your book and then.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
To flip through.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
And all of your mixtapes never made any sense because
the names had they meant nothing.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
But you knew every song much every so much.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Did you ever spend like like an hour and a
half downloading like one Lincoln Parks song from lime Wire.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yes, absolutely, I am the miss lime Wire. I love it. Keana,
thank you so much for calling in this morning.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
All right, thank you Miss lime Wires.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
She's awesome.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Oh the way that my mom would get so upset
with me when I would use lime Wire because it
always just infected your computer all the viruses every time.
But you were like, if I could just get a
few months out of this, yeah, I don't care that
it completely crashes the computer.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
The Game of the Day is coming up next.
Speaker 1 (16:54):

Speaker 2 (17:36):
I just trot my kids off and I'm about to
log into work.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
I hope it's a good day for you. You need to
get three out of five of these, right. I don't
know if these are gonna be harder or easier. I
guess it just depends on the person and your wheelhouse.
You know, your age and all that stuff. But are
you ready to play the game?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, all right, it starts right now. You got to
finish out the pair.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Here the duo and a fill in the blank magicians
Penn and.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Heller. Correct, Penn and Teller. I had no idea what
that was good for you, Kristen.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
A classic Jane Austen novel. This is throwing it back
pride and.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Pice, nice prejudice, nice.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Job, sweet treat brand, Ben and Jerry.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
That's how it's done.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Congratulations, your honest Thomas htt and Nile Horn, thank.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
You so much, no problem. Congratulations are winning perfect pair.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I think it's a better name, but I think it's
a better name.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
I do like the name exactly. I'm sure. Hey on
the line, Christy, we're gonna get your invoke.
Speaker 4 (18:45):

Will and Grace.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Thank Yeah, came around the playing the same game.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
It's called pair pressure Tomorrow repair, same time for the
same tickets either perfect hare Three things you need to
know after eight o'clock here on this Wednesday morning. Thank
you for starting your day with us. Ricky's got those
Three things? Presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are being sued by real
cops over their movie The Rip being too realistic. So
the officers who filed a defamation lawsuit are Miami Dave sergeants.
They claim that the movie borrows heavily from a real
twenty sixteen drug case where police found more than twenty
one million dollars in a Miami area home.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
They say specific details.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Of the film make it seem like the fictional characters
are based off of them. Specifically, they went so far
as to say that the portrayal has damaged their personal
and professional reputations, even though their names are not.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Used in this film whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Both Betafleck and Damon's production company argues that the rip
is very clearly fictional. It even has a disclaimer that
says that it does not portray real people. An attorney
for the company declined any further comment because obviously it's
so going to court. The officers are seeking unspecified damages
of public retraction.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
And legal feasts. I insane is that.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
If you saw the rip, you know, it's kind of
a wild story. It seems like it could be possible.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
But it's very clearly fake. So I don't know how
this is going to go, but I'll keep you updated.
People have sued for less. Anybody can just do this.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
I could say like Magic MIC's about me, and I
could sue Channing Tatum damage jury.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Will you never believe that, but go for it, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
The parking debate.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
In twelve South continues after residents and businesses shared their
concerns with the Metro Parking and Traffic Commission.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Some business owners so that the.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
New resident only parking restrictions are hurting customers andmployees, but
the neighbors are arguing that you know, tourists are just
getting out of hand.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
There's no parking in twelve South. Twelve South is insane right.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Now finding a spot can be a huge challenge, and
now that there's a more resident only and time limited
paid parking, businesses are saying it's harder and harder for
their customers to basically leave satisfied, you know, or even
to come to them.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
It's a deterrent for a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
The Metro Traffic and Parking Commission is considering adding two
hour parking.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Spots, a long twelve Avenue South, a.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Rideshare pickup drop off zone, and new loading zones in
order to try and help. We'll see where that goes.
They have deferred the Combo for another sixty days and
Halo Top. They have announced a new spoon that will
silence your phone while you eat Their new silent a
La Mode phone or spoon. It hooks up to your

phone and it knows when you are eating ice cream,
so it can silence your calls, texts and notifications so
you don't have any interruptions that you.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Have to worry about.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Wait. I love that this spoon launches online tomorrow for
four dollars and ninety cents, which is a nod to
their calorie count of most of their pipes. So if
you want to buy one, tomorrow's your day. I'm Ricky Sanchez,
and those are the three things you.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Need to do.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on the
River Taylor.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
It's one O seven five the river. Ricky's getting married
very very soon. We're in like full on wedding mode here,
a little bit mode, less.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Than a month away.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
She's got some drama with her wedding dress, and god,
I feel bad for you.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
I'm I'm happy that somebody feels bad for me, because
apparently Zach doesn't feel bad.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
I don't at all.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
But I bought a wedding dress online because we're eloping
and we're doing this as cheap as humanly possible.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
It's a whole vibe here. Okay. I went to Timu.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Okay, I went to Asos and I found a very
nice dress on Aso's for a very reasonable price. And
I was hyped about it because I have a whole
vision for it. I'm gonna kind of be diying this thing.
But first I needed to get it tailored. I can't
hem dresses or anything like that. And your girl's four
eleven dresses are made for giraffes.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
So I needed to go and yet it tailored. I
went to the tailor.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
They figured out, you know, how much they needed to
hem off, which was a foot they need to take
a foot off this dress. But there was also little
areas that they needed to take in and things like that.
I was very excited. I was like, this is gonna
be so perfect once it's done. In that session, the
person who was taking down all the information got black
pen on my white wedding dress okay, And I was like, oh,
(23:31):
this is gonna be an interesting conversation. I had pointed
it out to her. She said, no problem, I'm going
to get it taken out. I don't worry about it.
I've got you kind of thing. So I was like, Okay, hoping.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
For the best here.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
I really don't expect this to come out, but I
hope for the best. I went to go pick it
up yesterday, and when I picked it up, I had
mentioned it to the girl who I was checking out
with different girl and I said, oh, could did you
guys get the pen mark out of it? And she
went oh, the pen mark. It was never written on
the sheet what to take the pen mark out of
(24:02):
the dress, so the original person never actually wrote down
that anything had happened.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
So did you specify yesterday with this other person, like, yes,
your people put it like I didn't bring it in
with penn on it.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
They did it here.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yes, Because I was like, you better not be charging
me to try and get this taken out, right, So
I mentioned to her last time I was here, when
I came to get the alterations, someone accidentally got pen
mark on it, and she said, oh, let me take
this back. I'll try to get it taken out for
you right now. She got a decent amount taken out.
Whole thing wasn't taken out. Though there's still pen mark
(24:36):
on my dress. I'm gonna be okay because it's more
like on the inside of the dress. I think I'm
gonna survive. It's gonna be all right. But they did
not offer me a discount. They did not say sorry,
oh no, no, no, nothing, nothing.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
They had me pay full price and didn't say a word,
just let it go okay.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
So unfortunately, I was originally like on the plan of like, oh,
you bought a cheap dress.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
It's nothing to do with where I bought it from.
They ruined it, so they should have to pay for it.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
It drives me crazy that this person that marked it
up in the first place just forgot about it the
second you walked out the door and didn't even try,
didn't write it down.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
My assumption isn't even that she forgot about it because
she panicked she knew that she did wrong. My assumption
is she didn't want to get in trouble because you
should never have an actual regular ballpoint pen near anything
that's fabric that you're working on. And she just completely
forgot And I know that it was an accident.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
I didn't get mad at her.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
I was like, I understand you didn't mean to do this,
but yes, if you can get it out, please, And
I think she just didn't write down because she didn't
want to get in trouble.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
What's your course of action at this point?
Speaker 6 (25:43):
Do you?
Speaker 2 (25:44):
I feel like I didn't do the right thing by
I guess advocating more for myself than getting a discount,
because I brought it up to them that they did wrong.
I said, hey, you guys said that you were going
to get.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
This taken out. They tried to get it taken out.
Not all of it came out. You go back today,
I mean I can go back today. We will go
back today. I want to make sure that you get
it for free.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
But part of me let it go because I don't.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Want any stress with this wedding. Sure, I want it
to be chill.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
That's the whole reason why we're elping is to keep
it calm, keep it chill, keep it.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
No problems whatsoever. So I God, now I was trying to.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Just stay calm and let it go. I'm venting about
it right now, and I want to let it go,
but I kind of feel like I didn't do the
right thing for my cellar.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Have a wicked good summer.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
On the ever, here's the next word in our.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Wicked long sentence. Yeah, we started doing this Monday morning.
We've been given words three times a day.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Eight forty is your first time every day to get
one of these words, and Ricky's got it for you.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
It's a short one. Today. The word is on. That
is your word today, on, on and again.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
You're doing this for a trip to New York to
see arian A Grande plus. While you're there, we'll give
you tickets to see Wicked on Broadway. You got to
get all these words. Three times a day. We're giving
you words. So like we said, eight forty, twelve forty
and four forty and again your word today on on, keep.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Track of every word.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
So when one O the River, its time for the
daily double tap.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
It's one O seven five the River. Every day. About
this time, we play some audio from a video. This
is a local one. Ricky found this.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
It's about businesses popping up all over the place in Nashville,
and there's just a few, a few key elements that
they're overlooking.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
It's just insane the way that these businesses are operating
right now.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
And I get it, you're just trying to find prime
real estate.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
But like my god, you all ignore the signs.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Here we go here it is.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
Wait wait, wait, wait, so that there's no parking whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Well, I've heard enough. Let's put this business right here.
Speaker 6 (27:47):
Yeah, what'sh Just roll on the same page. People will
be drunk leaving right and getting in their cars. Oh yeah, okay, Well,
let's definitely put this right next to the busiest, most
dangerous road in all of Nashville. Oh, pedestrians jaywalk here
(28:08):
just on a regular basis at any time of the day.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Oh, let's put this business right here. Yeah, pretty much everything.
Why are we ignoring these things? I don't know. I
don't know. Its crazy to me. And like I said,
I get it. You're just trying to find prime real
estate as a business. You're like, all right, main road
people are gonna see me. But like, my god, where
do you want me to park?
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Man?
Speaker 3 (28:32):
How do you want me to get to your establishment?
Speaker 1 (28:34):
I mean, it's parking, just not like baked into the plans.
When you're opening a new business, there should be some
element of parking.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
I don't know. I don't know how it works. It's
above our pay ground. Don't have businesses. We don't know nothing.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
It's frustrating for us as consumers exactly.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Thanks for being a part of our morning.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning on the River
