Speaker 1 (00:00):
DC Metropolice said that they are on the scene and
they're asking folks in the area to avoid going there.
We're joined now by former Washington DC Police Chief Charles Ramsey.
Chief Ramsey, what do you make of this news that
multiple people have been shot in what is typically a
very secure area near the White House.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Well, it is a very secure area, and right now
we don't have a lot of information. It's pretty sketchy
as to what may have taken place, whether or not
a National Guardsman was in fact.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Shot or targeted the other two people. Supposedly three people
were injured.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I don't know if it's gunshot wounds where they injured
as they tried to flee the scene. We just don't
have a lot of information. But one person was meta
back from the scene, which is not a good sign
in terms of the condition of the individual. But we'll
just have to wait until we get a little more
information from MEE, GC, Police, FBI, or Secret Service. This
is something that you'll have a lot of federal agencies
(00:59):
come together very quickly, Secret Service, FBI, certainly ATF as
well as the DC Police.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
So this is brand new and Chief I just didn't
meant to interrupt you there. But obviously the location where
this happened, it's near the White House again, as we understand,
includes a National Guardsman that may have been shot, even
though we don't quite know if they've been targeted, just
a block from the White House. Here, How is a
(01:29):
response like this then coordinated, Who responds, how is that handled?
And what should we be looking for moving forward here?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
You know, DC is a very interesting place. These agencies
work together so often that there's no confusion.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
It just depends.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Right now, because it happened on a street, I would
imagine it's DC Police that would be in charge. But
because it involves the National Guardsman, certainly the Military District
of Washington is going to have a representative there. Someone
from the DC ART will also be on the scene,
and they will form a joint command center as a
(02:08):
result of that. But right now, I would imagine as
DC Police until more information becomes available, and then one
of the federal agencies may take the lead.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
And we do now have more information on this breaking
news story this Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Ryan shooting Live with you,
Zach Seegers on the other side of the Glass your
text at five seven, seven thirty nine. Patrick Morrissey, the
governor of West Virginia, now confirming that two West Virginia
National Guardsmen were killed in the DC shooting. President Trump
(02:38):
issued a post on truth social We'll get to that
in just a moment.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
JD.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Vance also making comments as he was visiting troops in Kentucky,
I believe, on this day before Thanksgiving, along with second
Lady Usha Vance, the Vice President, making some comments there.
We'll get to those in just a moment. This is
more now from CNN. The coverage here. Omar is wondering
aloud whether the National Guard troops who were shot in
(03:04):
d C know how to respond to a hostile situation.
Just to shake your head moment. But thankfully the former
c police chief Charles Ramsey has the correct response.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Yeah, we're waiting for that more information right now. But again,
as we know at least from the Homeland Security Secretary
to National guardsmen shot near the White House, as police
say a suspect is in custody. You know, Chief Annie
McKay brought up something that at one point in time
seeing National Guard troops on the streets of DC would
have been a little bit more unusual. It's become a
(03:38):
little bit more of the norm over the past few months,
as troops from multiple states have been in DC as
part of President Trump's anti crime crackdown.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
But one of the.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Dynamics that Annie mckab.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Was talking about was sort of you know, usually on.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
The streets you see police officers, you might see federal
agents that the typically are more used to interfacing with
the public or dealing with situations. Unfortunately like this, we
still don't know the circumstances here, but can you just
tell us a little bit about how police are typically
trained if there is a confrontation on.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
The streets, if they run into.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
A situation where someone may come up with a weapon,
and where to go from there.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Well, I mean, obviously you have the de escalation training,
you have used of force standards that are in place,
you have all these things that are part of the training.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
My memory serves me correct.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
The basic training for Metropold Police Department officers somewhere around
eight hundred hours of training. And I'm not saying anything
negative about at the National guardsmen. They have been deployed.
They're doing what they've been asked to do. I see
that they're armed. I don't know how much training they
received in general, because you know, policing and urban areas
(04:50):
is just different from what they're training is part of
the military. Now. Having said that, we don't know the
circumstances around this at all, so it's very difficult to say,
but that's been a concern of mine early on. I
was in DC last week and I saw the National Guard,
some of the National guardsmen, you know, walking down the street.
You know, they were in groups of four, and I
(05:13):
spoke to them, they spoke to me. I mean, they
were just it was just very casual. It was nothing
out of the ordinary, because you know, they've been there
for so long now people are starting to get kind
of get used to it, at least in d C anyway.
But people in DC there's used to a whole.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Lot of uniforms.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I think there's something like thirty two different agencies in
the District of Columbia, And even though I served there
for about nine years, every now and then i'd see
a police Guard that I had never seen before. So
it's just remarkable the number of agencies. But right now
they all come together. And one thing is really unique
about the National Capital Region is how closely federal and
(05:53):
local agencies work together. This is not unusual. They come
together all the time for things, so it's pretty seamless
when it comes to the scene trying to figure out
who's in charge of what. You know, I've been there before.
Remember in ninety eight we had the Capitol. Two officers
in the US Capitol that were shot and killed. You know,
(06:15):
the DC Police actually were the lead agency because there
was no nexus to terrorism. Now, we work very closely
with the FBI, with the US Capitol Police in that
particular investigation, but the DC Police were the lead agency.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Even though it happened on Capitol grounds.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
And again, former DC Police Chief Charles ramsay, they're commenting
on this shooting at the nation's capital in which two
National guardsmen have been killed. President Trump, the FBI, the
DOJ all being briefed on the shooting. Circumstances surrounding not
known at this time. A reminder about d C, the
(06:51):
actual District of Columbia. He mentioned all these law enforcement
agencies coming together. There is no state level law enforcement
in DC because, of course the district is not part
of a state. It was carved out from the state
of Maryland and borders the state of Virginia. But it
is his own jurisdiction, and federally, there is an immediate
(07:13):
response that we're hearing about here. Vice President Vance commenting
on this, as I mentioned as he spoke to troops
earlier today, I want to.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
Say first before we get started on a somber note.
We had and some of you may have seen this
on your phones or on social media, but apparently there
was a shooting outside the White House just a couple
of hours ago, and we're still learning everything.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
We still don't know the motive.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
There's a lot that we haven't yet figured out. But
what we do know is that a couple of National
Guardsmen were injured in the line of duty. And first
of all, I want everybody who's.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
A person of faith to say a.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
Prayer for those two National guardsmen that they're able to
spend Thanksgiving with their families instead of losing their lives,
because I understand they're still in pretty tough condition. But
I think it's a somber reminder.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
That whether they're active duty, reserve.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
Or National Guard, our soldiers are the sword and the
shield of the United States of America. And as a
person who goes into work every single day and that
building and knows that there are a lot of people
who wear the uniform of the United States Army. Let
me just say, very personally, thank them for what they're doing.
(08:23):
We're grateful to them, and we're praying that they're going
to be safe and they're going to spend Thanksgiving with
their families.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
God bless them them. Well.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
Now we're getting updated information this from Fox News that
the governor of West Virginia, who had been cited earlier
by multiple news agencies including CNN, Patrick Morrissey, is saying
that the two guardsmen were deceased, has now retracted that statement.
So again, these are moving parts in real time. It's
happening as we are live on Ryan Schuling Live, So
(08:50):
putting that last word active in today's program, appreciate the
year along with us and following this story. But regardless,
we do want to send our prayers and the most
positive thoughts out to the National Guardsmen their families. What
a tough day this is, right before Thanksgiving to have
to encounter such a nightmare as this. President Trump on
(09:13):
True social posting the following within the last hour, the
animal that shot the two National guardsmen, with both being
critically wounded and now in two separate hospitals, is also
severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price.
God bless our great National Guard and all of our
military and law enforcement. These are truly great people. I,
(09:34):
as President of the United States, and everyone associated with
the Office of the Presidency, am with you. Very important
that we remember our service members on this day. As
Vice President Vance was doing an attendance in Kentucky today
and that on this Thanksgiving, many of them are serving
abroad and protecting our country and our country's interests and
putting their lives on the line. They are not able
(09:56):
to be with their families on the holiday, so keep
them in your thoughts as well as the rest of
us are able to celebrate with friends and family on
this Thanksgiving five seven seven three nine. You can send
your text so long as more information comes in, we
will pass that along to you as well. I have
both monitors up on CNN and Fox News respectively here
(10:18):
in the Khouse studios, so trying to keep your praise
of that.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Situation in real time.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
We will also be joined in a little bit by
my good friend Chris Boyer. He is a veterans advocate,
having worked with several organizations in honoring our veterans, and
he had a post on Facebook yesterday, within the last
couple of days and expressing his extreme disgust. And that's
putting it mildly with Representative Jason Crow and the five
(10:48):
other military veterans being known now infamously as the Seditious Six,
issuing that video and causing or trying to call cause
dissension within the ranks, confusion within the ranks, chain of command,
whether or not an individual unst in man or woman
(11:08):
should follow an order given to him or her, whether
they should consider in real time whether that illegal, that
order is illegal or unconstitutional.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
You don't have a.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Chance a lot of times in the field of combat,
in the fog of war, when a military operation is underway,
to stop, think and reconsider whether or not the order
given to you falls within the parameters.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Of what is legal, what is moral, what is ethical?
Speaker 5 (11:37):
And then again, we don't we go back Nazi Germany,
Nuremberg trials. I was just following orders. This is obviously
a much different scope and scale in that this video
was designed to create that confusion within the ranks. You know,
Dan spoke out. It puts Trump in jeopardy. It puts
(11:58):
him in danger. Well, look at what just happened today.
I don't want to derive any conclusions, always applying the
Dan Bongino rule, we don't know what we don't know
until we know, and you got to wait.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
And figure this out, sort this out.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
But nevertheless, the video, with or without this incident today
put our troops in peril.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
That's my concern.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
The President is well guarded through Secret Service and those
that are committed to that. And this incident, by the way,
took place near the White House today. This fans the
flames this video from these seditious six fans, the flames
of rhetoric and also the temperature. They keep talking about
(12:41):
how President Trump and all of his supporters, including yours,
truly need.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
To turn down the temperature, tone down the rhetoric, and yet.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
They ratcheted up in videos when the issue is political
and pertinent to them.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
That is where the criticism lies.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
And while all six of these members of Congress are
drawing so much heat from so many corners, and deservedly so.
So we'll talk about that more with Chris Boyer coming
up at.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
The bottom of the hour. Again.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Your text five seven seven three nine, Stephen Littleton, retired
law enforcement officer. The anarchy continues at so many levels,
absolutely sickening. We'll wait for details to unfold, but what
we're trying to sort out were these two National guardsmen
targeted specifically because they were guardsmen? And what was the
(13:33):
motivation behind the shooting. We may or may not know
that as the shooter is in critical condition in custody,
So whether or not they're able to get any information
out of said shooter remains to be seen and determined.
On this Thanksgiving holiday, I'll be flying home tonight and
luckily I got Zack Seekers on the other side of
the glass, and he'll be helping me during that five
(13:54):
o'clock hour, because with great apprehension do I approach Denver
International air today? Just you know, it's typical travel day, crowded,
pain of Boulevard's a disaster. I don't know why the
original designers of that road replacing Stapleton Airport. Good thing
needed to happen. Denver was growing and it continues to grow,
(14:16):
and just think of the nightmare that would be if
it was still geographically intact. So you set it outside
the city limits and you drive on out there. But
you have the confluence of two twenty five, I seventy,
and there's this little jog. There's this little jog, you
guys know what I'm talking about. You go two twenty
five and then it merges with seventy. Then was it
(14:37):
like a mile or so? Then you got to exit.
It's a disaster area all the time, especially on a
day like today, So that part of.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
It is insane. No, no, no, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
I am not a civil engineer, But wouldn't it made
more sense if somehow you could have had, okay, two
twenty five that da dad, it's going along, and then
that just smoothly transitions into just goes straight through is seventy.
Maybe there's like a you know, a clover leaf interchange there,
you know what I'm talking about, and that becomes paintable.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
But no, no, no, there's got to be this little
jog and then.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Everybody's clustered, you know what. That's insane. So that point
one insane. Point two you had to project and anticipate
the future growth of Denver. The very reason you're building
the airport where you are building it in the first place,
that there would be increased traffic volumes going two and
(15:39):
from the airport. But the genius is that designed this
decided you know what, We'll just make it a two
lane highway in either direction. That'll be good. No, it's not, No,
it is not. That should have been a three lane
highway in either direction. Now I think they're talking about it,
planning it, but you know who knows when that gets
done from its original conception to construction to opening Paynia Boulevard.
(16:05):
The whole idea in mind should have been, Okay, Denver's
bustling and it's gonna grow more, so we gotta make sure.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
We accommodate that traffic. How many times have you been
stuck on.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Payna Boulevard in either direction because a two lane highway
once something goes wrong on one of those lanes. Now
it's bottlenecked down to one. Now it does it opens
up to three lanes. As I'm doing the geography in
my head once you get past the toll road on
Payia and then then it broadens out.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
But like, why not do that for the whole thing?
Speaker 5 (16:40):
I don't understand any of this. Maybe you guys got
a better answer than I do. Five seven, seven, three nine.
Please send that Alan Jared from the Log Cabins says,
please please please tell me you're a Delta flyer. Concourse
a baby. I do prefer Delta because of my destiny
on a daylight today, which is Detroit and Delta formerly well,
(17:06):
it gobbled up Northwest Airlines. The hub, one of the
hubs is Detroit and there's a its own terminal at
Detroit Metro and it's called the Macnamara Terminal and it's
just Delta flights that fly into there. So it's always
much more convenient when I'm able to fly Delta, So
Jared to your point, yeah, when I.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Can line those up.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Now, my second choice, generally speaking, would be United because
Denver is a hub for United, so a lot more
direct flights, you know, those types of offerings. Unfortunately, I
regret to inform myself that I have chosen Frontier Airlines.
(17:48):
I know, I know, what am I thinking? I'm dumb,
but good luck to me on that one tonight. But
it's more about the times I'm able to get in
and out. So what's happening. Thanks to Zach, I'm breaking
away here during hour two before hour two of the
Dan Kaplis Show, and we'll be heading to Denver International Airport.
(18:11):
Traffic's gonna be a nightmare, but I get that extra
hour flights at eight.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
But the thing about that is okay, well I should
make it.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
But and I do have the TSA pre check, which
everybody seems to have.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Now, Zack, do you have that TSA pre check? Are
you signed up for that?
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:32):
You are?
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Okay, So I think it's like more I don't have
the math behind this. This is statistics, but it feels
like more people have that than don't. Now do you
have clear that's the next step up? You do?
Speaker 8 (18:44):
And well, thankfully my my parents have it from like
when they were traveling a lot from Okay, and they've
kept it'me on like the family plan.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
The family plan works for me, but I'm a family
of one at the moment.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Single tier, but going to see the rest of my family.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
If you're traveling on this Wednesday before Thanksgiving, let me
know five seven, seven, three nine. Chris Boyer up next

Speaker 9 (20:45):
Look at these videos coming out of places like Chicago.
It makes me incredibly nervous that we're about to see
people in law enforcement, people in uniform military, get nervous,
get stressed, shoot at American civilians.
Speaker 10 (20:59):
It is a very.
Speaker 9 (21:01):
Very stressful situation for these law enforcement and for the
communities on the ground. So it was basically a warning
to say, like, if you're asked to do something, particularly
against American.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Citizens, this is a very dangerous individual.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Senator Alisa Slotkin from my home state of Michigan, Democrat,
she's served.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
But this is the type of rhetoric we're talking about.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
Two National Guard troops were shot today outside of DC.
They appear to have been targeted, and it's rhetoric like
this in which while I fear they might be given
in order to shoot civilians, to murder civilians, Well, where
have you seen that.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
You instill that fear, you plant that seed in the
mind of a madman, And this is the logical result
we're watching unfold here today. Let's go back and revisit
the elected Democrats who published a video absolute insanity here
(22:03):
telling our troops in the field, serving both domestically and worldwide,
that they are to question the orders they are given
based on the man who is issuing them, the commander
in chief, the President of the United States, Donald Trump,
the seditious.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Six ladies and.
Speaker 9 (22:20):
Gentlemen, I'm Senator Alissa Soockins, Senator Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Stilusio,
Congress good Land, Your Representative Chrissy Hulahan.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Congressman Jason Crowe. I was a captain in the United States.
Speaker 11 (22:31):
Navy, former CIA officer, former Navy, former paratrooper and Army ranger.
Speaker 10 (22:35):
Former intelligence officer, former Air Force.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
We want to speak directly to members of the military.
Speaker 10 (22:40):
And the intelligence community to take risks each day keep
Americans safe. We know you are under enormous stress and
pressure right now. Americans trust their military with that trust
is at risk.
Speaker 12 (22:51):
This administration is pitting our uniform military.
Speaker 10 (22:54):
And intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
You all swore an oaths to.
Speaker 10 (23:00):
End then this substitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution.
Aren't just coming from a road, but from right here
at home.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.
Speaker 10 (23:10):
You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders.
Speaker 9 (23:15):
No one has to carry out orders that violate the
law or our constitution.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
We know this is hard and.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
That it's a difficult time to be a public servant.
Speaker 10 (23:22):
But whether you're serving in the CIA, the Army, or Navy,
the Air.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Force, your vigilance is critical. And know that we have
your back, because now more than.
Speaker 10 (23:32):
Ever, the American people need you. We need you to
stand up for our laws, for our constitution, and who
we are as Americans.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up.
Speaker 10 (23:42):
Don't give up the ship.
Speaker 5 (23:45):
And this was no doubt designed to generate chaos within
our armed forces. This was designed to foment some level
of resistance or insurrection. And the literal definition against orders
given again by the Commander in Chief, Donald Trump, the
(24:06):
Secretary of War Pete Haig Seth, the chain of command
there on down to our enlisted members of our armed services,
of our armed forces. Then three of these clowns were
asked to provide explanations as to what illegal orders were
being given the one side of it, like I said,
(24:27):
it puts our troops in peril, in a dangerous position.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
We see that today.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
And because of the other side of this, which is
the general public sees that video says our National Guards
members in these cities are being given illegal orders. I
have to combat that. I'm going to shoot two National
Guard troops in d C.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Today. Here's a list of Slotkin being pressed on this.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
Credit to the mainstream media, they were not taking this
at face value.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
So let's talk right now.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
Do you believe President Trump has issued any legal orders?
To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that
are illegal, but certainly there are some legal gymnastics that
are going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related
to Venezuela.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
The legal gymnastics were in the video that you just
heard the sound from a moment ago. Those were very
finely tuned, crafted words issued by each of these seditious
six members of Congress. That was Alyssa Slotkin, Senator Democrat Michigan,
pressed by Martha Raddott's ABC. Here's Representative Jason Crow, my
(25:33):
own congressman in the sixth Congressional District of Colorado, with
Elizabeth Vargas News Nation to.
Speaker 10 (25:41):
Be right, but to be clear, Congressman, you're not saying
President Trump has already given any illegal.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Orders, are you? We're not talking about specific orders. You
sure as hell should be.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
If you're going to issue a blanket statement like that
and it's short on specifics, that is criminally irresponsible and reckless.
Sluck and swinging a miss crow swinging a miss strike two.
Let's leave it up to the third man and the
batting order. Senator Mark Kelly, Democrat Arizona. This with Rachel
mannow MS Now, when you.
Speaker 11 (26:15):
And your colleagues made that video, were there specific potentially
illegal orders that you were thinking about that were the
sort of precipitating cause for you guys to get together
and do that.
Speaker 12 (26:28):
Here's the thing, Rachel, if you don't want to wait
for your kid to get hit by a car before
you tell him to look both ways.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Hell kind of comment.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
An analogy is that our troops are trained not to
obey illegal orders. That's already baked into the cake. Frank
Lottz from.
Speaker 13 (26:48):
The top Rope, My first reaction was, why the hell
did you put this video out? I know you're trying
to poke at him of course, you don't obey an
illegal order. Of course, there are standards and that our
military has followed, not just for decades, but for centuries.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
That's a given.
Speaker 13 (27:07):
You're doing this just to create a political issue, and
shame on you is there are men and women who are.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Serving in Japan and Korea.
Speaker 13 (27:15):
All over the globe, in the Middle East, in other
Asian countries, and this is Thanksgiving and they're not home,
and they're sacrificing for this country, and you're playing politics
at this point.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
And two National Guard troops may have paid with their lives.
The earlier reporting of them being deceased has been retracted,
suspecting custody. The shooting outside the White House in DC.
Joining US now, he's a long time advocate for veterans
doing the good work here in Colorado. Chris Boyer, our guest, Chris,
you had a very pointed Facebook post that grabbed my
(27:51):
attention and caused me to invite you to come on
the program here. And you were aiming at Representative Jason Crow,
an Army ranger who has served in combat. How can
you explain his actions in light of that experience?
Speaker 12 (28:08):
Well, one word, and that would be irresponsible. And you
know there there's there's one guaranteed way in life that
a person can be guaranteed to be disappointed across the board,
(28:28):
and that is to put faith in politicians because and
especially these days with everything that is just so escalated
in rhetoric, and this is just another example of it.
In you know this these sticks, you know politicians, five
(28:55):
of which have served the armforces, one in the CIA.
And you know, I'm not going to take anything against
their service to our country as far as I know,
they all served honorably. But you know there's something about
you know, men and women, so many of them. Once
(29:20):
they you know, get into Congress and Senate and and
and have been there for so long that and I'm
not just talking about Democrats, I'm talking about both sides.
So many of them, once they've been there for so long,
of a switch flips and you know, they they hand
(29:47):
over their soul and they're no longer honorable people. And
in this case, you know, these these these sick you know,
what what they have said and done is beyond irresponsible.
(30:07):
You know, they they they have what they have done
is didn't is not just irresponsible, but it's dishonorable. But
it's it's it's just doing what what politicians do. And sadly,
you know, the rhetoric has been raised to such a
(30:28):
level these days, and it's happened before in history, you know,
and I get so disappointed and and my blood boils
when I hear politicians or or news pundits say, well,
these are the worst days that we've ever been in. Well,
you know, that's just says Okay, well you've never read
a history book before, because in the Civil War, well
(30:52):
you know, go go read a history book or you know,
you know, spend a little time, you know, watching documentaries.
There's thing because it has been worse, but it's it's terrible,
you know, and they only did it. They really don't
(31:13):
care what the ramifications, what the negative ramifications are possibly
linked to these National Guard guardsmen or murdered possibly, you
know that's that's only a speculation at this time, but possibly.
But you know, another negative ramification of this is, you know,
(31:35):
some of our troops officers are listed making very poor
decisions and blaming you know, their their statements, using that
is justification and making poor decisions and and then just
creating more hatred. And and now you're you're going to
(31:58):
I guarantee you're gonna only have have more more politicians,
you know, saying hey, hold on, wait a minute, hold
my beer, and doing one upsid ship and just doing
even more stupid craps and and and what these six
did was dumb. It was very dumb. And it's only
(32:21):
so that they can get in front of cameras, you know,
hopefully with their hair perfect and over hair sprayed, and
with their correct makeup on, and their their their creased
genes if they're trying to look like they're an outdoors
person or whatever. Just they're so fake, you know, they've
sold their souls, you know, for money and self recognition
(32:46):
and re election and and and and and fundraising, and
they're it's almost like they're not humans anymore. They're it's
just awful. They they they don't represents the people that
put them in office. They're there for the people that
(33:09):
give them money to stay in office. They're there to
club their opponents to death. They're there to get in
front of cameras. Yeah, you know, that's the state of
politics today. And personally, I just I think it's disgusting
and really just makes me love my dog and grandchildren.
Even that much more.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Chris Boy are doing great work on behalf of veterans
with his response to the seditious six the video issued
talking about in real time two National Guard troops shot
near the White House today, the suspecting custody not cooperating.
But this is not even an area of agreement we
have anymore between the two political parties when one is
out of power and these six are flailing to get
(33:53):
some kind of control back of the news cycle. When
they lost on the government shutdown, that was a motivating
actor here, to be sure. And the fact that they're
out of power in the White House, in the Congress,
in the Senate, in the House, and they're feeling it
slip away with the Supreme Court, and this was their
one way of undermining the Trump administration. Make no mistake,
(34:14):
these were cynical, purely political motives on behalf of these six,
and Chris Boy are helping us outline those here today. Chris,
thank you so much for your time, your perspective, your
insight on this. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we'll talk
to you again soon.
Speaker 12 (34:30):
All right, Thanks for having me on, and a happy
Thanksgiving to you to everybody listening. And also of course
during dinner tomorrow, take a moment to think about our
troops overseas who can't be with their families.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Chris boy are always doing great work on behalf of
our veterans, and we're happy to have him on the
program here today. Think of those troops that are serving
both domestically and overseas that can't be with their families tomorrow.
Thanksgiving a break. We're back wrapping up our one. Ryan
Schuling live after this morning before halftime. Here a lot
(35:10):
of football coming up tomorrow. I know Zach Seegers is
psyched as am. I'm wearing my Lions gear. I know
many years you all have been subjected to Detroit Lions
football that was not enjoyable.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
But you're welcome.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
For the nineties with Barry Sanders, I had to love
those that's before Zach's time. That makes me feel extremely ancient,
which I am. But in recent years the Dan Campbell
gamble unfoked down has inspired the rest of the NFL
and Lions packers Tomorrow, Zach, what a lineup?
Speaker 3 (35:41):
But these three games thanks Giving lineup I can ever remember,
isn't it though? And then you got what Cowboys are playing?
Chiefs huge game for Bronco.
Speaker 8 (35:52):
That is right, you want the Chiefs to miss out
on the playoffs. Rare time for me to be rooting
hard for the Cowboys.
Speaker 7 (35:59):
Back go down.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
And then the night game is Cincinnati Baltimore.
Speaker 8 (36:03):
Correct, which has huge AFC North implications. All expectations are
that Joe Burrow will play.
Speaker 5 (36:10):
I was talking to Grant Smith, longtime Bengals fan in
his own right, and how the Bengals are clinging the life,
and if Joe Burrow can somehow pull out a win there,
it gives him a shred of hope going forward. So
three big games tomorrow. Let me know what your routine
is on Thanksgiving Day now. So for me, I'm losing
two hours going that way, going east, and that's a
bummer deal. And I'm getting in there around just before
(36:33):
one in the morning.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
I got a rental car. I'm gonna drive with my sister.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
Lizzie's crash on her couch, wake up, and then go
get my dad. I gotta drive him, can't drive anymore,
and then we're going to watch the Lions. I mean,
it's pretty much gonna be like one continuous slop for me.
This text five seven, three nine, Andy Are you talking
about Payne Yah Boulevard Pa I n y ah, Yeah,
(36:57):
I mean I might as well be known for that.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Yep. Thanksgiving, says this Texter. Hope your Lions win tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (37:03):
Huge Broncos fan here, but have many friends from Michigan
and would love to see a Denver Detroit matchup in
the Big Game. I was just at the Delectable egg
here in the DTC, and those are Michigan State stuff.
Guy comes over, longtime professor at du Michigan State Grand
He says, go Green, I say, go White. And the
(37:23):
Spartans are playing basketball tomorrow too against North Carolina.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Big matchup there tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
Year tax A lot of them coming up here in
our number two, your Thanksgiving plans and traditions.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Let's discuss those two on Ryan Shuling Live
