Speaker 1 (00:07):
Saturday morning open phones. It is June twenty eighth. Good guys,
in two weeks. We're getting all fired up for that
in the car world, and it brings a ton of
money to our fairgrounds. People already complaining and saying the
fair grounds are still torn up. But I was down
there the other day. It's no worse than last year.
And we'll get through it, and when it's all said
and done to where fairgrounds will be all party for
(00:28):
next year and we'll get decent time this year. But
got a good buddy in the house, been back in town.
He's been lying low. He's semi retired. Scott McCombe, Hartlan Bank.
How you doing, buddy, Hey doing great, boots? How are
you gonna be better? I still thank you for the
Tennessee game. Oh man, bucket list check.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
That's right. This is our summer of glory, right, yeah,
because we just keep getting.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Separating and wearing the national Championship hats and talking smack and.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
How we're gonna do next year.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
You think I think we're just reloading reloading.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I think I think he's got it figured out.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Man. I think they love him now. They hated him,
they hated him the Michigan Week and then he was
a hero a few weeks later.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, strange out things come full circle.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, I mean, you know what he's down on. He
does excell and o's he's not there playing the game.
I love when he blamed the coach and you know,
but they don't. You know, left doesn't blame the president.
But everything Trump does is wrong, even though that's sea Way.
He's probably gonna get a Noble Peace Prize.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
He had a pretty good day yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, when a stock marker through the roof yesterday worth
up three percent for all that hater. Yeah, he took
boys out of girls' sports, supposedly trying. We finally stuck
up for our country with the bullies in the Middle East.
And Iran's like, oh, well, boy, where Obama gave him money?
Last I checked and someone on social media said Obama
gave him the money that was theirs back. Who's twisting
(01:51):
that one around? Well, they had stuff, you know, a
frozen in bank accounts and such from the previous sanctions.
Ota remember Iran has been under sanctions for fifty years
because they're crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, exactly. So I don't know how you I'm I'm.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Crazy crazy, And you're mostly retired now, so you can
be brutally honest.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Now, well kind of you, I'm about you still.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Have a reputation pole. But still you can call crazy crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Well I can't call crazy crazy.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
That's all right. Well, let's good to Dick, because Dick's
not crazy, and Dick's always positive, and Dick don't hate anybody.
Dix is like strumming his guitar. Good morning, Dick. How
you been, brother?
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Oh, how you doing? Boots? It's gott it's good to
talk to you. I was out. I've moved over here
to Stony Ridge. It's near Miami's Burg, pretty close to
Cincinnati and Toledo.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
You better watch out. Don't don't say where you live.
You have stalkers. You're a legend. You have all these
ladies get you know, fifty five ladies chasing you down.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Hey, I want to tell you something, Boots. This place
is high class. They have happy hour every day. And
you could imagine the first day I got here, Boots,
there were people. His name is Billy, Billy, he is Billy.
(03:11):
He's a man. We do trivia, we played music, we
play Bengo. And I'm telling you, Boots, it's didn't have
a phone for two weeks. I about had anxiety hear
you out. Pardon me.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I didn't hear you on any of the radio stations.
I wondered. I thought maybe you, you know, was off
to meet the maker. You had me scared.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
No, No, it was just uh. It took about three
weeks for the phone because you know, everybody was the
spectrum was just busy. We've had a lot of power
outages here and rain. But it's so glad to be
back to talk to everybody. But yeah, I'm doing pretty good, Boots.
I I missed all of you guys. You guys are
(03:55):
great people.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
You know, how's your lady friend.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
She's pretty good. She's pretty good. My friends Eddie and
Mary come over, and I haven't been playing much with
spring Benders, but I'm going to be back probably I'll
get it right. And I one of my friends, I
go to church and we talk about Bible study. And
one guy there is from Columbus and he says, I
missed Dick. He hasn't called for a while. But boy,
(04:21):
it's just good to be back on the air, Boots.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
You know, well it sounds yeah, sounds you sound great, brother,
will you take care of yourself and I will not
be on tomorrow. We've got I'm Jim from care Patrol,
and we also have I can't think Joe from peak retirement.
They're filling in for Midy and I so appreciate you
called Dick. We'll talk to you soon. Let's go to Mark.
Good morning, Mark, good morning. Not to be the dead horse,
(04:48):
but some thoughts on the situation in Ukraine. Very large
portion of what used to be the Soviet Union in
the southwest part about forty million people roughly maybe, and
the President says he wants to end this insane war
(05:09):
that's killing lots of people on both sides, which he's
very accurate on that it's just a meat grinder, sort
of like World War One, where the front hardly moves
and they just keep killing each other in huge numbers.
The trouble with former President Biden was I think he
(05:29):
was using it as a proxy war of attrition against Russia.
We want to wear Russia down, and maybe he wanted
to wear Ukraine down too. So if we put them
in a perpetual stalemate, that's completely even.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
We'll just give Ukraine just enough. He gave them always
just enough to barely hold back the Russians, but not
to win. No concept of victory or loss, just a tie.
He wanted an endless tie, which hurts both countries. Back
in the eighties, the Russians had put in a proxy
(06:04):
government and overwhelmingly Islamic Afghanistan, and their proxy government was
stumbling and wasn't doing very well. So at a certain
point the Russians said, we're just going to move our
own troops in our own people, and we're going to
run it, and we're going to incorporate it. President Reagan
(06:24):
gave enough overwhelming force to Afghanistan that a certain point
the Russians just decided, we don't want to be in
a meat grinder war forever with people constantly taking pashats
at us, and they pulled out. They just left. If
Trump gave overwhelming support to Ukraine, Ukraine could actually win
(06:48):
this war, and putin, who can be rational, might just
decide it's not worth the trouble and pull out. And
then Trump needs to put pressure on Ukraine eastern area
of the country that at least ten twenty years ago
did not like Ukraine. Maybe they need to be their
own separate country and end the war, different callers have
(07:12):
called in and said, well, when the Russian supported separatists
couldn't do enough, Russia sent their own troops in in
three days after the Russia sent their troops into the east,
they held a sham election where the soldiers with guns
in their hands, asked people, do you want us to
be there? And some of them actually did because Ukrainians
(07:35):
hadn't treated him too well, but they were intimidated. If
your poleworker had a gun aim and said you want
us to be here, almost everyone's going to vote yes.
It was a sham election. If they do an election,
they need a real election. Maybe the Carter Center International
agencies hold a fair election to decide what these people want.
(07:55):
Do you want to be with Russia? Do we want
to be our own country? Do you want to be
with Ukraine? And that would do it. So just give
them the concept of victory overwhelming force, allow Russia to
pull out, and let the country get back on its feet.
The hard thing is Ukraine was exploited by Russia in
(08:17):
the nineties when they were pretty much running it Russian stoogies.
It was like, we'll just bleed them dry and take
advantage of them.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
But then when.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
Western people came in the Europeans, we sent the carpetbaggers
in who were the most rotten and corrupt Europeans, and
they've been abused by both sides. So they just need
rule of law to stand on their own feet and
be a legitimate country that can offer real jobs and
pensions and living for people. And so that's the best
(08:49):
thing we can do for Russia would be allow them
to lose gratefully and pull out. So that's I guess
my thought for two strength and overwhelming force and a
concept of victory, not Biden's everlasting tie or of attrition.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Makes no sense that we'll talk to you next week
is Saturday. One of you them phones on dam boots,
brought to you by Deep Metal Roof Company, Always protected
by the Undefeated America. Maid never have been beat. Tattletale
alarm system from the Harlem Bank Studios on News Radio
six' TEN.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
WTV i always liked the bassline in this song that
just makes you tap your fingers right and your.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Toes when you're driving along or you, know you listen
to certain. STATIONS i can't say, him but you're a
certain song pop up and instantly my mind fills up with.
Memories that's WHAT i like about certain food, smells certain,
Music and a lot of it goes back to my
mom because me and my mom were my mom and
iron cars all the, time so so it popped. Out
(09:50):
my oldest brother was a big music. Buff he liked
bread nothing On, yeah if was it bread? Thing if
it was at every WEDDING i think in the, seventies
if a, thousand where did you?
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Do?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Right but he played that songs eight track AND i
remember the thing about cars that drove. Me that's about
eight track is hitting that. Button you can't hit the
button and get your song like a fast forward nowadays
or A cd well or now your. iPod, YEAH i
love the world where in they want us not to
use our phones in the, car but everything is surrounded
by the. Phone it's like it's like a passive aggressive
(10:26):
don't do, it but you gotta do. It doesn't make
sense to.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Me, wow that's nostalgia, though. RIGHT i, mean you have
those songs and it brings back memories of where you
were at when you heard it.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Or YEAH i get it funny how old you were
or what you were doing or where you were hanging
out or.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
What was the first? Song and by the, Way scott,
McCombe Heartland bank retiree still so on the, boards so.
Important but what's what song do you remember stuck in
your head the first and most first?
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Time, uh, well it probably would be Juke Box.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Hero, yeah you Know centerfold Is mine?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Back Jukebox HERO i.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
WAS i THINK i was probably in middle school or
something like, that maybe like seventh.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Grade, Here i'm trying to think when that came, Out Bait,
connor when Did Jukebox? Hero Con do you know you're
the music.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
GUY i don't know juke box here figure that.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Out that was nineteen eighty probably seventy oh.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
No AND i think it was, like, YEAH i think
it was seventy, Seven, okay juke boxer who sang ith?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
GEEZ i don't know If, scott If scott McClure's here
be like bang boom boom.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
He oh my, gosh YEAH i know that.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Answer saw him standing there by the record. Machine knew
who must have been. On so it Was Joan. Jet,
no it was not Jone.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Jet it was a it was a hair band, Anyway
foreigner nineteen eighty.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
One we were way. Off, WOW i didn't. KNOW i
didn't know for so, YEAH i gotta GET i can
get up on that. Stuff, man let's go back to
phone lines to go get your, pan get your paper.
Out the one and, only the legendary weekly, Caller wendy
in the. House good, Morning.
Speaker 8 (11:55):
Wendy, hey thank you for about the pen and. Paper
you know. It so on the way, HOME i ran
into a young man who was not excited about the
one hundred and forty ninth anniversary of our. Country and
you can thank The department Of education for that. Problem,
(12:16):
Well i'm not gonna go into the, details EXCEPT i
think he's one of the finest men on, earth but
he's been educated, poorly so he's not a titled about
the one hundred and forty ninth, anniversary which is this.
Week so we need to educate. People we got a
year now that people in charge of our national celebration
(12:36):
of the tourney fifty of the anniversary of a nation
seem to believe some of the stuff that have been
taught by The department Of, education like the sixteen nineteen.
Project now that's started with the little article and blossomed
into a political movement and has taught our children not
to like our country because of. Slavery now there's a
(12:59):
couple problems with the little. Project there's some accuracy. Problems
you can run a genealogical, proof and there are. Assertions
there's a couple of things That i'd like to come bring.
Up first, Off Native american, tribes there's evidence that they had,
slavery so that predates sixteen, nineteen which by the, way
(13:23):
that date isn't exactly. Accurate and we tried to in
our constitution and, slavery but it didn't really work. Out
but there was a poison pillar. There it says all
men are created. Equal now there's iconic photos of men
wearing a sign SAYING i am a. Man that goes
(13:43):
back to our. Constitution all men are created. Equal also
men women are. Too we fixed all that because we
have this constitution that fixes.
Speaker 9 (13:53):
Things we need to.
Speaker 8 (13:56):
Remember also in Germeric jeremiah the prophet said that one
of the things that destroyed the people was people that
were supposed to be set at liberty after seven years
after making a contract were. Not they were. Kept and
so slavery will destroy a. Country there's slavery in The United.
(14:16):
States now time for your pen than in maps dot.
Com we're supposed to be the bad guy sports people On,
earth so we can't celebrate our. Country but if you
look at fit, maps it tells you when slavery ended
in various, countries including up to nineteen ninety. Nine and
in some country slavery is just absolutely presciently fine right,
(14:39):
now and for some people who drug, cartels slavery doesn't,
matter and that the people have negative paychecks and cannot
leave and that is not legal in our. Country so
if somebody tells you that you cannot leave or you
do not have, rights you're probably not being taught about our.
(15:02):
Country and that's why we need citizenship instead of drug
cartel Taught american. Values so we need to remember these.
Things and, uh you, know there's pictures of The. Ugurs
they don't exactly look. Free In. China there is various
(15:23):
places where right now your slave's.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Wait, Wait, Wendy, wendy why.
Speaker 8 (15:31):
Were Muslims and there's photos of them line up as
as slaves are to be exterminated or they're organs donated In.
China that's just another iconic Photos. Ugart, uh you, know
and The Tianeman, square which you're not supposed to see
(15:54):
those iconic photos and the man that stood in front
of a, Tank god bless that.
Speaker 9 (15:59):
Man when did.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
The, Guy, Wendy how did that conversation? Strike the guy
was probably weird.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
And walking by and you, no, no straightforward. Miseducated but
how did he come?
Speaker 1 (16:12):
In how did it?
Speaker 9 (16:13):
COME i, said what are you going to do for joly?
Speaker 8 (16:15):
Four and he said? NOTHING i mean he, said you,
know AND i knew what it. Meant it meant sixteen ninety,
uh sixteen nineteen. Projects he's been great washed in believing
our country it is horrible because we had, slavery which you.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Didn't you didn't know, him he was he was a.
Stranger he didn't know. Him he was just a guy
walking by or.
Speaker 8 (16:38):
Whatever, no he sees a guy That i've seen. Frequently
he is a good. Guy he is miseducated by Our
department Of, education which in agument for defunding it because
ever since it, began our international suggest he's gone down
like a. Rock does he have a, job pederically?
Speaker 9 (16:55):
Motivated what does he have a?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Job?
Speaker 8 (16:58):
YEAH i met him at.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Work, okay like our, country he lives The american, dream
like we all have.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
Opportunities, hey he's brainwashed in believing the sixteen nineteen.
Speaker 9 (17:07):
That we are, bad we are, horrible we, enslaved we
We you, know a country is founded by The. British
we defeated The, british we got rid of, Slavery we
did these. Things there's a heck of a lot to.
Celebrate so educate your, people run a dual proof on sixteen,
nineteen and tell your. Family because the people in charge
(17:30):
of our twenty two hundred and fiftieth the anniversary don't
really like our, country many of, them in my humble,
opinion so, Local well if you.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Don't you know, What, wendy if you don't like our
country trying to move The Middle east and see HOW i,
goes and see how it goes for?
Speaker 8 (17:44):
Him, well oh, well they don't understand there's good people
that have been lied, to and there's people that have
been lied to and that our government paid to lie to.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Them, sure, Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:55):

the way that's the way we were.
Speaker 9 (24:04):
Brought up.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
YEAH right i never once thought about categorizing what. A
word i'm looking put everybody in. The, category well, you're
this and, you're that and. You're this, maybe football you
were the QUARTERBACK and i was. The center maybe that's what.
It was but everybody wants to label everything and make.
Things insane it makes. No, sense no it does.
Speaker 10 (24:25):
Make sense it's part of the part of the strategy
that left to divide. And conquer that's, their strategy and
that's one of the ways they.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Do.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
It conquer what do they want?
Speaker 10 (24:34):
To do they Just want they wanted to. Bude, us
damn that's. Exactly right they want to be. The power
and by doing and by, doing this this is just
another one of the ways they work to divide the people.
Against themselves and and sadly it's it's working with a
(24:55):
certain segment of. The population, but anyway now back To,
Last saturday notice that almost Immediately i ran crying uncle
Asked The united states To have israel stop what. They're doing,
and now by and, by chance we have a not,
(25:18):
by chance but because of the actions of, our president
we have a ceasefire in Place between Israel. And iran
it's never. Happened, before, Yeah yeah and we had how
many presidents, say well we Can't let iran have a,
nuclear weapon all the way Back, since reagan since nineteen. Seventy,
nine again you guys are old enough to remember when
(25:39):
the when when we Deposed the shah and The fundamental muslims.
Took over we remember that in nineteen seventy nine and ever,
since THEN And i RAN's been developing. NUCLEAR weapon i
don't know how many presidents have said they can't. Have,
one well guess what now.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
They can't now they can't now they're. Driving around it's
to say they GOT the n rate enriched uranium out.
In TIME it's i hope it's like milk where it
goes bad or there's some poor guy driving around and
It's some, IRANIAN going i don't know what to do with.
This stuff if they did get it out where they,
put it what is finding to get it blow it? Up?
Speaker 10 (26:19):
Again yeah let me Let me let me let me say.
Something here did we did We buy iran back To
The stone age or ahead To The? Stone age THAT'S
what i want. TO know.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
I DON'T think i think. THEY'RE fine I think scott
was bringing up a. Good point There's some IRANIAN people
i have actually Meant some iranian people that are, really
nice and he said that the media Has. Made iran
look there's some very nice like Uh like dubai or.
Whatever areas it's just the crazy guys that. Run it it's.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
The regime, it's right the regime in the then the
regime is controlling. These people they have no access to the.
Outside world they can't get, you know they don't like
the internet women, have right there's all kinds of things that,
happened there but the fact of matter is Weird Not
The united states did not perform strikes on the Citizens.
Of Iran The united states stepped in to take down
(27:12):
the threat for the.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
ENTIRE world i did hear some scientists got whacked in, the,
bombs right that was That.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Was israel That, was israel and That. Was israel but
the fact manners they were put.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
On notice they've been put, on notice and it's been
kind of allowed to do their own thing for on their.
Own recognisance and the, previous administrations, you know gave them money,
to continue which.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Is crazy paid them off. Like mafias but the.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
FACT matters i think that if we can get the
People of iran, a voice they they want to be
and engaged with the rest of, the WORLD and i
think that's where we're on the cusp of doing that.
Speaker 10 (27:46):
Right now the People of iran themselves are Very. Pro
west as a matter, OF fact i don't know if
you if you two, know this but at One time
Iran and israel were. Fast friends the countries were. Fast
friends they had each other as the bat.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Because they Were fighting, iraq.
Speaker 10 (28:02):
Yeah well even, Before, that yeah even, BEFORE that.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
I think that that it's like stereotype. And anything you
can say that the Old appalation caucasians put couches on
their front porch and have and date. Their cousin you can.
Say that there's EVERY every i can't say any OTHER
things i get, in TROUBLE but i can pick On
appleation CAUCASIAN because i. Am one but everybody has their.
Own stereotypes everyone has their own stereotypes by the average
(28:30):
world and most of us, joking around but everybody's. Gone
sensitive now if you came up to me, and, say,
boots Boots your english is bad and you're just a
dumb Old, Appalation caucasian, i'm, like yeah you're, you're RIGHT
and i. WOULDN'T go i want to say.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
From unfortunately this is a bad this is a bad
side car.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Of, technology yeah, you know because now we give, those
voices we give, those voices, you know a way to
to jump out there in front, of everybody and you
know that's that's how you.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
GET out i get a kick, at it and THAT
for i lego, one more one, more thing one.
Speaker 10 (29:03):
More thing this is the perfect opportunity now for the
People of iran to rise up against the Regime bomb
ato ways to. Do it they attempted to do it
While while obama, was president and he he failed to provide.
THEM support i do believe if they rise, up now
our current president will provide them. With support and THAT'S
(29:24):
what i. Hope happens, All.
Speaker 1 (29:25):

way and help them and back the police, up there.
YOU know I just i. Don't know I'm gonna i'm
