Light landing in section twenty with the Kraken entering this
homestand it's a short one of two games. Great record
so far at this checkpoint of the season, eleven five
and six twenty eight points, one point out, a first
place in the Pacific Division and carrying a tremendous record
at home at six to one and three. Dallas, on

the other hand, gonna be that' quite the challenge here
fourteen to five and four thirty two points. They are
ending their four game road trip five points at a
first place on their side in the Central and a record.

The Kraken are trying to end a seven game winless
skid in this series head to head against Dallas, and
bounced back from a loss at the Stars back on
November ninth. But the good news here for this evening
Everett Now talked about this Jared McCann's back.

It's finally happening.

It's fur back since October eighteenth, suffering a lower body
ailman on that first road trip, And the Kraken get
a big addition here for their offense were last season
twenty two goals, sixty one points, what many thought of
what was a down year. This year's so far great
start three goals, four points first five games, So you
get a big at here for the Kracking offense that

had been struggling admittedly here for much of this season
to begin, the offense scoring just three goals or less
than six of the last eight games. Last game also
won nothing out loss at the Islanders the first time.
The Kraken also shut out all season, which dropped them
to twenty ninth in the NHL at just two and
a half goals scored per game. Yet for McCann back

in there is potential and maybe here for this roster
it is as healthy as maybe we have seen all
season long minus Copocacos, so potentially a great litmus test
here for the Kraken getting Jared mccannon back into the fold.
And also Berkeley Canton has been skating with him in
practice leading up here. To today, and Canton said he
knows what to do with mccannon on the ice.

Just trying to get him the fuck is like the
best reach shout I've ever seen. So just you know,
play my game, and you know Canner will be, you know,
ready to go here, so excited to play with him.

So while the Kraken are trying to trend North offensively,
well elsewhere, it's as good as it gets. There're four
to one and two last seven games against, which proves
winning is the ultimate definition of fun. Folks their game
right now. Defensively, it is stin among the best in
the NHL defensive league goals per game two point five,
second best in the league, shans against about middle of

the pack twenty seven a game allowed, but also five
on five goals allowed just thirty one all season, that
is best in the NHL. And when you factor in

league zero in regulation at home as Colorado and New

important stream coming up here for games, a ton of

continue to grow grow our game, you know, offensively and
you know, staying staying good defensively.

His linemate recently, Mason Marshmanton said, the team's got their
foundation locked in through tight checking and through discipline.

We're getting there.

You know, we definitely play a good, tight, solid defensive game.
You know, there's always stuff that you can get better
at and stuff like that, but I think you know,
for the most part, every night we're we're shutting down
you know, a lot of high, high danger chances by
the way we played defense, so you know, there's always
room for improvement on offense. And you know that can

come and shot quality or just shot in general. So yeah,
I think, you know, that's one thing we can definitely
kind of take a step forward on.

So with the shutdown game locked in the crack and
trying to get their offensive game locked in, leading us
here to our storylines. Jared McCann. First off, he's back
in new look for him, by the way, as far
as his line mates him on the left wing, Berkeley
Catton in the middle, Shane Wright on the right wing
for him where previously McCann had been skating with Matty
Veniers and Jordan Eberly against Dallas, He's got six goals

in nineteen games. So you can also take a look
here and maybe be on the watch out here for
McCann to get back on the one of two power
play units. For last season, his sixteen power play points
were second best on the entire team. Second story line,
it is this guy starting a net once again.

be stingy. Star storylines begin with Miko Rantonen. He's back
in previously off a one game suspension. Second on the
Stars twenty eight points. He'll be well rushed as well.
First game since last Saturday and against the Crack end

twelve points in fourteen games had to head, so he
had one hit on Alex Romanov five minute major for
boarding and a game miss conduct and then the hit
on Matt Coronatto and Calgary which earned the suspension. And
with that perspective here, according to head coach Glenn Goldson,

the Dallas lineup, even with the suspension still pretty fresh.

I didn't realize for a superstar in the league how
much he's willing to play on the interior. And not

all of them. And he's very physical and he's a
big man, but but he has an elite talent and
vision and a shot. He's he's he's a very well

him and I think, you know, I'm not in Colorado,
but maybe that's mass somewhat because McKinnon has a great
intensity to him as well, and it got hidden, but
you can certainly see it here and it bodes well
for his game. But at the end of the day,
you do have you know, your strength can become your weakness,
so you've got to, you know, make sure you walk

in the right line with that intensity.

Seattle needs to set the physical tone early finish checks,
lean on Dallas' top skill guys, and make every puck
touch feel like attacks they don't want to pay. The
Stars hate games where they have to grind, so make
them grind until the edges on their skates file themselves
down to nubs. Hard honest hockey sets the table. Secondly,
clean first pass and quick zone exits. The Cracking have

to play fast with the first pass out of the zone,
clean exits, quick transitions, and let the forwards attack with
pace so Dallas is constantly defending on their heels. If
Seattle can turn defense into offense in two touches, the
Stars will be seeing the Krakens Abyss jerseys in their sleep.
And then third, goaltending and supremacy presume started jewelry to

Cord needs to shut the door early and loudly, none
of those polite after you reap track pucks, control traffic,
and give the boys confidence to push the offense without
worrying about a CounterPunch. A big early save could flip

homestand it's a short one of two games. Great record
so far at this checkpoint of the season, eleven five
and six twenty eight points, one point out, a first
place in the Pacific Division and carrying a tremendous record
at home at six to one and three. Dallas, on

the other hand, gonna be that' quite the challenge here
fourteen to five and four thirty two points. They are
ending their four game road trip five points at a
first place on their side in the Central and a record.

They carry of eight to one and three on the road.

The Kraken are trying to end a seven game winless
skid in this series head to head against Dallas, and
bounced back from a loss at the Stars back on
November ninth. But the good news here for this evening
Everett Now talked about this Jared McCann's back.

It's finally happening.
Speaker 9 (07:29):
It's fur back since October eighteenth, suffering a lower body
ailman on that first road trip, And the Kraken get
a big addition here for their offense were last season
twenty two goals, sixty one points, what many thought of
what was a down year. This year's so far great
start three goals, four points first five games, So you
get a big at here for the Kracking offense that
(07:50):
had been struggling admittedly here for much of this season
to begin, the offense scoring just three goals or less
than six of the last eight games. Last game also
won nothing out loss at the Islanders the first time.
The Kraken also shut out all season, which dropped them
to twenty ninth in the NHL at just two and
a half goals scored per game. Yet for McCann back
(08:11):
in there is potential and maybe here for this roster
it is as healthy as maybe we have seen all
season long minus Copocacos, so potentially a great litmus test
here for the Kraken getting Jared mccannon back into the fold.
And also Berkeley Canton has been skating with him in
practice leading up here. To today, and Canton said he
knows what to do with mccannon on the ice.

Just trying to get him the fuck is like the
best reach shout I've ever seen. So just you know,
play my game, and you know Canner will be, you know,
ready to go here, so excited to play with him.

So while the Kraken are trying to trend North offensively,
well elsewhere, it's as good as it gets. There're four
to one and two last seven games against, which proves
winning is the ultimate definition of fun. Folks their game
right now. Defensively, it is stin among the best in
the NHL defensive league goals per game two point five,
second best in the league, shans against about middle of
(09:07):
the pack twenty seven a game allowed, but also five
on five goals allowed just thirty one all season, that
is best in the NHL. And when you factor in
goaltending teams say percentage nine three seven, that is also
best in the NHL at five on five. So they
bring all that here for this two game homestand opening
up with Dallas and Edmonton, where a Kraken av just

one loss in regulation, only two teams left in the
league zero in regulation at home as Colorado and New
Jersey and for the crack and it begins a pretty
important stream coming up here for games, a ton of
them coming up here, seven on the next nine by
the way, until December eighteenth. And their mission right now
keep building at home on a season that is certainly

turning plenty of heads.

continue to grow grow our game, you know, offensively and
you know, staying staying good defensively.

His linemate recently, Mason Marshmanton said, the team's got their
foundation locked in through tight checking and through discipline.

We're getting there.

You know, we definitely play a good, tight, solid defensive game.
You know, there's always stuff that you can get better
at and stuff like that, but I think you know,
for the most part, every night we're we're shutting down
you know, a lot of high, high danger chances by
the way we played defense, so you know, there's always
room for improvement on offense. And you know that can

come and shot quality or just shot in general. So yeah,
I think, you know, that's one thing we can definitely
kind of take a step forward on.

So with the shutdown game locked in the crack and
trying to get their offensive game locked in, leading us
here to our storylines. Jared McCann. First off, he's back
in new look for him, by the way, as far
as his line mates him on the left wing, Berkeley
Catton in the middle, Shane Wright on the right wing
for him where previously McCann had been skating with Matty
Veniers and Jordan Eberly against Dallas, He's got six goals

in nineteen games. So you can also take a look
here and maybe be on the watch out here for
McCann to get back on the one of two power
play units. For last season, his sixteen power play points
were second best on the entire team. Second story line,
it is this guy starting a net once again.

Schaeffer back to Barzel, fanning on the shot, Barzel.

that span of the entire trip. So he's been terrific.
And this evening it's his first home game since the
San Jose lost back on November fifth, and against Dallas,
he's trying to get his game trending north a record
so far in four games at one, two and one
against the Stars. Or third storyline, Brandon Montur picking up
the pace three points last three games and against the Stars,

owning twelve points in nineteen games at right now typer
third overall for the Crack at all time in scoring
against the Stars, and he's trying to make the most
of it here in it's one hundredth game in a

but maybe that's mass somewhat because McKinnon has a great
intensity to him as well, and it got hidden, but
you can certainly see it here and it bodes well

touch feel like attacks they don't want to pay. The
Stars hate games where they have to grind, so make
them grind until the edges on their skates file themselves
down to nubs. Hard honest hockey sets the table. Secondly,
clean first pass and quick zone exits. The Cracking have

to play fast with the first pass out of the zone,
clean exits, quick transitions, and let the forwards attack with
pace so Dallas is constantly defending on their heels. If
Seattle can turn defense into offense in two touches, the
Stars will be seeing the Krakens Abyss jerseys in their sleep.
And then third, goaltending and supremacy presume started jewelry to

Cord needs to shut the door early and loudly, none
of those polite after you reap track pucks, control traffic,
and give the boys confidence to push the offense without
worrying about a CounterPunch. A big early save could flip
