Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas wakes up with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Here's what you missed on Sunday mornings.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Thanks for waking up with us today. It's going to
be a beautiful day.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yesterday was April Fools Day.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Hopefully you got through it unharmed, unpranked.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
But Sean, did.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
You get prank? Chest?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
What's going on with this this NASA launch? I haven't
heard anything about it.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Filled me in so NASA.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
A lot of people didn't believe that this was a
real launch because there's so many fake things on the
internet yesterday, but they launt their Artemis two rocket. They
are planning on slingshotting around the moon. Is the first
time we've been to the Moon in a very long time.
But a lot of people didn't think it was actually
happening because it happened to fall on April Fools.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Like, all the comments were like, this isn't real.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
This is a fake launch, right, But I'm wondering if
I saw it and I just scrolled by it because
I'm like fake news.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
April quite possibly, But it also brought to the surface
a lot of the conspiracy theories about whether or not
the original moon landing in the sixties with Neil Armstrong,
buts Aldrin was fake or real.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
And I got it.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
To be honest with you, Joanna, I went down that
rabbit hole. I might be questioning the first moon landing.
I don't even know if I literally don't know if
we were there or not at this point, and.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
April fools, that's got to thinking, huh. I mean, yeah,
I was driving in this morning and full moon still
this morning when I was driving in, which was really cool.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I mean, was the launch like around that?

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I don't know they how they time it around like
lunar cycles and things like that. However, I am convinced
that we can find at least one person today that
also questions whether yesterday's launch was real or at the
very least I thinks that the original one was a hoax,
because I gotta tell you, Joanna, look, unless you and
I were at the moon, do we know if that
really happened?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Were you at the moon? I wasn't in the sixties.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
No, I wasn't even born. I wasn't even a right.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Was it a sound stage?

Speaker 4 (01:45):
I don't know. I mean I've read so many quote
unquote personal stories about well, my grandpa said he was
there at NASA working the sound stage where they filmed
the moon landing.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Oh yeah, so it sounds like you really did go
down a rabbit hole.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yes, I really did.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
And I think we can find at least one person
this morning that agrees with me. Seven oh two, seven nine, six,
one oh six five if you are like me and
question the original moon landing, because that's where I'm at
right now. Coming up next, we've got Lewis Capaldi, Queen
Alicia Keys and after seven Joanna.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
We're gonna have some fun.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, this is gonna be a fun topic this morning.
Can you fire a grandma from a babysitting job?

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And yes, I'm talking about like the child's grandmam. We're
gonna we're gonna take those calls and dive into that
later on this morning.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
That's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Sunny Mom, six point five Study one. I was six
point five. It's Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Now, sometimes there are headlines out there that just grab
your attention for all the wrong reasons, and I think
this one is one of them. A new cosmetic trend
going on right now is called rib remodeling.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah, people are reshaping their lower ribs an expensive, you know,
rough procedure with a long recovery time. We're going too far,
I think at this point to correct our life. I
remember used to be Tybo and P ninety X and
six minute abbs. It was those were the trends to
get better looking. Right now is what's the new shot?
And how can I remove a rib to feel better

(03:10):
about myself?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
And you and I were both parents.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I think this is most concerning to me because I
don't want my daughter one day coming to me and.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Being like, Mom, I'm gonna get.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
My ribs remodeled because I want a skinnier waistline. At
that point, I think I'm just gonna feel like I
would have failed her to make her feel like she
had to go to that extreme.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
You know, people were doing beard transplants.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Guys were doing beard transplants to feel better about their
facial hair a couple of years ago. So you know,
what do we need to embrace I think ourselves a
little bit more here.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Right, Yes, let's turn this into a feel good right
because yeah, Alston, times these trends are telling us to
fix ourselves. We don't need to always fix ourselves. You know,
there's sometimes you just need to embrace the flaws. So
we're gonna be vulnerable and put ourselves out there this morning.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Sean.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
If you want to start, I can start.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Is there any quote unquote flaw or something you don't
like about yourself but you just embrace it?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Now, I have a weak chin.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Oh okay, I've been told I have a weezy shit.
I'm I'm not gonna go do like a gin implant
to feel better about it.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Well, listen, I Sarah, you every single morning your chin
looks great.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Okay, all right, remember that for me. Listen.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Two babies, two sea sections.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I've had a surgery, you know.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
On my lower belly to actually save my life before.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
So my my stomach hangs.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
And yes, I could do big, bold surgeries to fix it,
but you know I've embraced it. I've got my two
biggest loves of my life because of this hanging tummy,
and and I'm accepting that flaw.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
We love to hear from you about something about yourself
that you embrace. Seven oh two seven nine six one
oh six five. We also have a sunny story of
the day here coming up here next.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Yes we do.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Sometimes help is just a phone call away. And today's
sunny story today is a great reminder of that how
that is happening right here in our community.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
We're gonna tell you.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
What's going on coming up next in today's Sunny Story
of the.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Day, Good vibes, good people, and good news. Time for
your sunny story of the day. What local feel good
have you found today.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Joanna, Well, it's a great story about a reminder that
help can be just a phone call away.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
So Three Square Food.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Bank, we help them out there, We love them here.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
And there's actually a three Square Hunger campus here in town.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
But what a lot of people don't know is.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
That there is actually a call center located in that facility,
and the phones have been ringing a lot lately. Now
these are families, seniors' parents right here in our community
who are just trying to figure out where their next
meal is coming from.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Well, I think the reality here is that prices have
only been getting higher and food and security was already
a really big problem here in the valley.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
You're right about that, And what I think I love
most here, there's a lot a lot of elements that
I absolutely love here. But you know, they're making a call,
they're putting themselves out, they're being vulnerable. And it's not
just like here, come on buy and get a box
of food, good luck to you. It's you know, the
people who are entering these calls are taking the time,
they're listening. They're helping people connect two groceries to snap benefits,
even things like energy.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Assistance and medicate.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I mean, they're going the extra step running these phone
lines and truly helping families in our community find relief.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Well a lot of times that's what we can rely
on as the community around us in three square does
a great job of bringing us a wife.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, one phone call really could change somebody's life. So
if you want to read more about this incredible call center,
who knew this was right here? This is incredible, you
can right now. It's sunny when I was six five
dot com.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Just click on.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Sunny Mornings and that's your sunny story of the day today.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Sonny one six.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Ask the tough question this morning of can you fire family,
especially when they're offering to help you for free.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It's had Sean good morning.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Michelle reached out to us over on our Instagram love
receiving your messages, and she really sent us a question
that had Sean and I think, and it really hit
home because we're parents who accept free childcare from our parents.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Yes, exactly, Michelle. Why don't you go ahead and just
explain what's going on here?

Speaker 5 (06:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (06:51):
So I have two kids there, two and four, and
my husband's mom.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Watches them like she baby sits them while we're at work,
which is great and awesome, But lately my kids have
been coming home and saying like, oh, she falls asleep
when we're there.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
And oh, she doesn't really hang out.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
With us that much, and you know, thinks of that nature.
And I just want to know, like, is it Can I.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
Fire my mother in law?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Is that crazy?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Well? How does your husband feel about this? Like we
are talking about his.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
Mom here, I don't think he really knows the gravity
of the situation.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Okay, so you're saying you haven't even really talked to
him about the sheet.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Michelle, I think as soon as I talk to him
about it, it's going to be like I'm firing your
mom kind of deal.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
No, I get it. You're saying, can I can I
fire eat my mother in law? It's sticky? Well, look,
why don't you hang on for his sake? Here, We'll
get some help from our audience here and we'll take
some calls.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Sound good?

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Okay, thanks all right?

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Awesome seven oh two seven nine six, one oh six
five Ken, Michelle Fire, grandma who's working for free?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Let us know. We also, by the way, have our
entertainment report coming up here next. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Yeah, I'm gonna tell you about one celebrity baby surprise
making headlines today, a celebrity sibling duo bragging in the
best way on social media, and a rock and roll
truce as well. That's to cover in today's Joe and
the No Entertainment Reports, to.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Around, what's a watch? Where to go?

Speaker 4 (08:32):
And what everyone's talking about? Here we go Joe in
the No Sorry Daily Jose of Hollywood. What's happened in Joanna?
All Right?

Speaker 3 (08:38):
I got to give a big congrats this morning to
Haley Steinfeld and Josh Allen, who have officially welcomed their
first baby together.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
A good Josh all and fellow girl Dad now love it.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, that girl definitely had the genetic Jack all right,
no name or details just yet, but baby is healthy.
Mom and dad are doing good, and we love that
for them. They're such a great couple.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
They really are.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, all right, well, I also want to talk about
this morning switching gears Robert Irwin and his sister Bindy Erwin.
You know, they were both Dancing with the Stars winners,
the first ever sibling duo to do that. Now they
both have announced recently on social media that they are
displaying their mirrorball trophies at the Australia Zoo.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Where else would it be?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Soviea ever want to check that out?

Speaker 3 (09:20):
I gotta fly down under, but you can see two
mirrorball trophies.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
That's pretty cool, very cool.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, and this I thought was kind of interesting. This morning,
Courtney Love is calling out Dave Grohl and asking him
to publicly confirm that they're a long feud that has
been out there on social media.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
For forever is truly over.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
So she's saying, please, Dave, come out with it and
tell everybody we're cool, so your fans can stop targeting me.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
I kind of forgot that she was like evening until
you've brought her up.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Well, listen, all I know is that they have been
butting heads for years, So she's finally calling for a
truce and asking Dave to do the same. And that's
your entertainment report for this morning, jelch and now you're in.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
The note starting one of six? So can you fire grandma?
Michelle reached out and asked us for some help on
the subject.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I mean it's tough, right, free childcare, but like grandma's
not doing a.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Good job, right, falling asleep on the job, yeah, and whatnot.
So she's been hanging out on hold listening as we
take some calls here and get your input on this, Brie,
what do you think here?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Can she fire grandma? From the gig?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
There's so much to unpack here that we don't know,
like does she have a relationship with.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Her mother in law? How's the mother in law's relationship
with her son?

Speaker 3 (10:38):
And is there like a dad in this situation, like
a father in law that maybe she could appeal to
this daughter, like hey about your wife?

Speaker 5 (10:47):
You know, I feel like that's not good if the
kids because it gets him to be honest even though
they're you know, maybe not not the kindest.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
So like she probably is.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
The grandma has probably fallen us, So we need to
get a replacement, right.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Right, you think maybe slide in a babysitter to take
some of the pressure off of Grandma.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Then yes, perfect yeah, slowly but sureley right, just like
get let grandma go be a grandma.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Well, thank you for the call, Bree, thank you.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Let's take Natasha here and next, Natasha, can we fire grandma?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
What do you think you gotta tell grandma that she
needs the day off or something.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
She can't be sleeping and watching the kids.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
You might as well leave them alone.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, I mean that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
It's like, you know, sorry, Grandma, it's not you, it's
it's me here exactly.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
I love you.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
But no, yeah, right, so take take ta go, take
the day off, take.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
A walk, and you know, don't come back.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
Yeah, do one of those like old lady aerobic days.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
We love grandma, we love the help, but yeah, she's
just gotta got.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
To keep her busy. Thanks for the call, and Natasha,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Well all right, well we've got a couple of different
opinions here.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Yea, Michelle is on hold.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
We're going to connect with Michelle again here next, see
what she's thinking about the whole situation and firing grandma.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
So stick around for that.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Sonny one six.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
If family members offered to give you free childcare, can you.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Let them go?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
That's what we've been discussing this morning.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
It's Joe Hanna and it Sean. We've been trying to.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Help out Michelle, who we're going to bring back here
in a second on whether or not she can fire
Grandma from babysitting.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Yes, and look, Michelle, you've heard from us, You've heard
from Brie and Natasha. How are you feeling now about,
you know, relieving Grandma of her duties.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Yeah, I think I need to talk to my.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Husband about firing Grandma.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
It's gonna be awkward, we.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Know, yees, yeah, oh this is awful.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Well, I think you know, we had some good suggestions about,
you know, hiring a babysitter too, so you know, Grandma
can be grandma and you still got some extra help
around the house.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Hey, babysitter for grandma and my kids.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Right, you know I didn't. I didn't think about that
because she she could. He was a little looking after too, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I mean listen, Michelle, we thank you for being vulnerable
with us this morning. This is a tough situation. Things
are gonna work out. Talk to your husband.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And we're wishing you nothing but the best of luck.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Girl. Hey, you're very very welcome.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Look at us and look at look at our community
here coming together to help out Michelle this morning with
tough situation what I'm sure is a very sensitive subject.
It is, yeah, coming up here. Next, moving on, we

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
