Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas wakes up with Joanna and Sean.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Here's what you missed on Sunday mornings.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
What is an unexpected activity you do with your partner
that you think strengthens your relationship? Seven oh two seven
nine six one six five. Good morning. It's Joanna and
Sean and one couple making headlines because on the day
of their wedding they said, you know what, let's lace
up our sneaks and run a marathon together.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Well, yeah, I mean, I think the mindset around that
is is quality time without distractions, right to motivate each other,
and that's a great way to build your bond. Right, Ell,
let's go to Ellen Henderson this morning. El, what's that
thing you do with your significant other?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
You know, surprisingly I kind.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
Of like him dating a super nerd and.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
He's totally into Legos Lego.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Wow, I love that cool.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
And I've always kind of looked.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
But it's not been my thing.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
But this Valentine's Day this past year, he actually got
me a bouquet.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Of roses and he knows how much I love flowers. Yeah,
and so I finally was able to meet him in
the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
And surprisingly enough, it was really great because I'm making
something beautiful.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
But tapping into his quirkiness or pardon me, but yeah,
his assassination with legos and oh it's a great time.
We like, really fun and we talk.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
And also legos are not cheap, so like they're they're expensive,
so he was he was spending some money on.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
That, l Okay, listen, you gotta show that money like that.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Hey, and you know what, the lego bouquet lasts a
lot longer than the ones from the story.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Yeah, mm hm exactly, so suck of an investment. I
like the way you're thinking, Sean, that's fascinating.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
No, I like that.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
So that's kind of a zen activity for the two
of you to do together.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Love it really cool. I love that you're embracing his
hobby too, really cool. Thank you for sharing that this morning.
Al Well, thank you for asking.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I hope you guys have an amazing day.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Oh, thank you, Elle.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I feel like, you know, I gotta say, Joe, I
feel like legos are one of those activities that can
go south real quick if things don't start going looking
the way you want them to, right.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
But the good thing is legos these days, they come
with like the little instruction manual so you know what,
I'm actually googling Lego kids right.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Now for Andrew and I.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Coming up next to our sunny story of the day, Joanna,
what you.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Got, Well, if you think everything in your home is safe,
you may want to think again, and the Health District
is offering a freeway to check that. I'm going to
share those details with you next and today's sunny story
of the day.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Stick around, goodbyes, good people, and good news.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
Time for your sunny story of the day.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
A daily dose of positivity from right here in the
valley was going on, Joanna, We all of.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Us, you know, we're buying things for our homes constantly, dishes, cups, kids, toys,
random kitchen things and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
And we assume the stuff we.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Bring into our homes are safe, right, but do we
really know for sure?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Well, starting today.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
The Southern Nevada Health District is helping us find out
if those things were bringing into our home are safe.
So what they're doing every Monday starting today is they
are offering free lead testing. So that means you can
bring in any item from your home to have them tested,
no cost, no pressure, just peace of mind and get
those things tested for lead.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
I was so annoyed. Why do we have the test
for this stuff? Look valuable service. I'm glad they're doing it,
but how come we're the last line of defense here?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
It's so strange, right, but it's good to know there
is a place in our community we can double check
these things. You know. It's it's really helpful for parents
because you know a lot of toys have lad unfortunately,
and there's that's very dangerous and serious for kids. So
great resource and tool in our community. And if you
want to read more about what the Novada Health District
(03:42):
is offering, you can right now, Sunny one of six
y five dot com. We're gonna put up all the
information for you. And let's keep the good vibes going,
shall we. Robin's been on hold. Good morning, Robin, tell
us why while you're smiling headed into the week.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
The good news is my cat is often I can
walk again.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Oh okay, that's no fun. How long you have the
cast on for?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Oh fick weeks?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
That's a long time. What happened.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Post fight flag football?
Speaker 6 (04:09):
And I got a little overzealous, tripped over somebody else
and yeah, broke my ankles.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Oh well, at least the cast is off. So I mean,
if you're through the hard part, I.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Think, yeah, I have a great week with a being
cast free Robin sunny one six point A lot of
people want those four day work weeks, and looks like
more evidence has come out showing.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Why it's a good thing.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Good morning, it's Joanna, and it's Sean, and yeah, I
think the majority of people out there would vote for
four day work weeks.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Seven oh two, seven nine six, one oh six five.
Are you one of them? Because there's this new study
that says working Fridays or really any extra day of
the week is just a waste of time at this
point that the research found that you can get all
your work done in about thirty three hours, and it
also showed that companies offer four day work weeks are
actually more efficient and they earn fifteen percent.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
More in average revenue.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
How about that, Mapples, That's a that's a worth bringing
to your boss right there.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, work life balance, it's a good thing. And if
you have people who are finding their perfect balance, they're
just gonna be happier, they're gonna be more productive when
they are actually working.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
So yes, this is.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
So smart, Ashley. What do you think, would you would
you work a four day work week?
Speaker 5 (05:23):
Yes? Not only am I down with a four day
work link, I would do a three day work week.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
It's like all the hours, So you would do what
like thirteen fourteen hour days, just knocking all out.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Yes, if I want to get out of town, if
I need a day.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
To be hungover, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Have you ever thought about a designated hangover day, Joe.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
At this point in my life?
Speaker 1 (05:46):
No, but maybe I would if there was a three
day work week, Right, how do we get this done? Ashley?
I'm we're on board with this.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Let's start a petition.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I'll be We'll be the first ones to sign it.
We're gonna sign.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
It for sure, Thank you, Ashley. Coming up now to
our entertainment report. What's happened in Joanna.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, let's talk about a big comedy milestone, a powerful
on air return, and a friends star opening up about
feeling left out at the height of their fame. I'm
gonna fill you in on those details that you're Joe
in the Know Entertainment report and it's coming up next.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
What's you watch? Where to go? And what everyone's talking about?
Here we go, Joe in the know.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
All the entertainment news worth knowing about what's happened in Joanna.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Big congrats to Jack Black. He's officially a part of
Saturday Night Live very exclusive five timers club.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
He joined the club when.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
He hosted this weekend. You know, I mean to host
Saturday Night Live five or more times is incredible.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
He had a great bit with a cast about avoiding
the one person in the office that no one wants
to talk to you, which I found extremely relevant.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I'm gonna go back and watch that one.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
And I can't wait to see him in the new
Super Mario Brothers movie too.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
He's awesome, all right.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Switching gears A big welcome back to Savannah gunthree Now.
She returned the anchor desk this morning on the Today's
Show after she stepped away following her mother, Nancy's disappearance. Now,
Savannah kept things very professional this morning and just you know,
simply said it's good to be home and then got
right into reporting the news. So, you know, I think
(07:15):
what that really shows, Sean is just like there's just
like a really powerful balance between like you know, personal life,
personal pain, and then like public life and just like
having to move on and I mean that's a very
strong symbol that she showed this morning by returning.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Sometimes getting back to work is the best thing for
your mental health too.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, very true.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
And one more thing this morning, Lisa Koutro actually getting
very real. In an interview recently about her time on Friends,
she said that despite playing you know, Phoebe, who was
very beloved she even won an Emmy for that role,
she often felt overlooked and sometimes referred to was referred
to as the sixth friend, meaning like nobody really cared
about Phoebe.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Ah, that's she was one of my favorites personally.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
I feel like, yeah, right now, I feel like looking
back at it, she's one of the most iconic characters. Lisa,
we love you, And that's your entertainment report for this morning.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I'm Joe and now you're in the know.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Saturday, Month six time. So what is that unexpected activity
that you do with your significant other that you really
think strengthens your relationship.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Good morning, It's Joanna and Sean.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Give us a call and chime in seven oh two
seven nine, six, one six five. We're talking about this
because one couple making headlines because of the day of
their wedding, they decided to run a marathon together.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
I wouldn't do that under any circumstances, wedding or not.
Let's go to Jemma. What's going on, Jemma. The more
extreme the better. What's something you've done to bond with
your significant other.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
It all started with our first unexpected activity.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
The first time it happened was totally unexpected.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
We were living in the Caribbean and we had a
major hurricane and were forced to camp like right away.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Yeah months, you know, no running water or electricity for
two and a half months.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
It's a nightmare, right, Yeah, it was.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
But we had to do survivor stuff together, you know,
and since then, any problem we encounter is not as.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Bad as that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
So I don't recommend doing our major.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Hurricane like as your first test, No, but.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
You know, maybe rehab a house or something together. That's
a test well.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
And also like the camping aspect of that, like we
go camping.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Okay, so you guys are like certified Eagle Scouts at
this point and indeed cool. So, but you usedtill like
to do kind of like the hunting, fishing, camping like
survival type stuff together. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Absolutely, we had a good time.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
I mean it was we were in our twenties, so
everything was fun, but we still like to go camping.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Well there you go, so vibe the hurricane and you
guys became campers.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Out of it. Look at that. Yeah, thank you Jemma
for the call this morning.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah, you guys have a great day.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
If that had been me, I would have been traumatized
by it. You couldn't pay me to go camping again.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I would have moved so quick.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
All right, coming up next year, something to put a
smile on your face. Our sunny Story the day, what's
happened in Joe?
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah, one simple free test could give a lot of
families in the valley piece of mine. I'm going to
tell you about that test and where you can find it,
starting today in today's Sunny Story Today.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
That's next six months.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
If there was ever a city that needed multiple indoor
family play options, it's definitely Las Vegas. Sunny Mornings with
Joanna and Sean Here on Sunny Window six point five.
We got kind of a taste of summer. A couple
of weeks ago. We got close to one hundred. It's
going to be ninety two this week. Joanna you found
what a brand new local business here that's like indoor
family fun.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Yeah, this is really cool. We got to shout him
out this morning. So it's called Wonder Play Cafe. It's
on the southwest side of town. It's located at the
Grammar See And this is really cool because it's going
to be offering like indoor play for newborns.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
To six years old.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
And it's also a cafe so parents can go and work, relax,
enjoy coffee, connect.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
With other families whatever they want to do.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
But I think the goal is just to give you know,
families other option to get out of the heat and
in some place that could be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
I go to indoor playgrounds quite a bit, like trampoline
parks and stuff. But sometimes I would like something a
little more I don't know, subdued. I guess I kind
of like a cafe vibe, like I can bring my
laptop and setup shop there, have some lattes or whatnot.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Yeah, And what I think is really cool too is
that the place space has this you know STEM in
mind oh with all the activities, so all that is
STEM inspired, which is really cool.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
So you know, when you are there with your kids.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know, at least they're having fun and learning while
you're sipping your coffee.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
So I feel like when when all around very cool,
we'll check them out this summer at some point wonder
play cafe on you said the southwest side of town, yep,
at the Grammar set Cool all right. Sunday Mornings with
Joanna and Sean coming right back. We got more of
the best variety of the eighties, nineties, and today with
the weekend Billy, Joel and Train. You want to hear something,
let us know on that talk back Mike. Sunday Mornings
