Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you would like to impress your friends.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Or neighbors, or maybe just some younger people, I got
the drink of the summer for you. It's sunny when
it's six point five. Las Vegas's best variety the eighties,
nineties and today.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
My name is Sean.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Now in my world, the drink of the summer is
typically whatever is free or closest to me in that order.
But in this case, the drink of the summer is
something called a Sarti spritz, and it started in Europe.
It's kind of like an Aperol spritz, but instead it's
made with something called Sarti, which is this pink Italian
liqueur made with Sicilian blood, oranges, passion fruit and mango.

(00:33):
Sounds delicious. It's kind of like Aparol's sweeter fruit of
your cousin. The problem is very hard to get here
in the States. The bottle ofself not super expensive, is
thirty five bucks, but to get it here you're gonna
have to pay pretty much the same thing if you
want to ship it. If you want something a little close,
the folks over on TikTok have found some dupes you

(00:54):
can try, Lilllette Rose or Ramizati rosato instead of the Sarti,
because those also have some orange blossom hens and bring
a little pink sparkle to the drink as well. So
until we can routinely find some Sarti around here in
the valley, you might want to try to make do
with a couple of those tasties. Stands in all right,
sonnyweo six point five. If you try one, make one,

(01:15):
take a picture. Tag us on Instagram at Sunny Window
six five LV Sonny Sonny Window six point five, Las
Vegas's best variety of the eighties, nineties.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And today good morning gets Sean.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I love the way gen Z has been reaching into
the past and reviving relics from my childhood. They started
with nineties fashion. Love that, but now they have revived
the BlackBerry. Gen Z is out here texting like they
are in a boardroom in two thousand and seven.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I love it. We all felt like a CEO if
we had a BlackBerry.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I did the sense of superiority that came with having
that full keyboard with those satisfying plaques. Oh you couldn't
tell us anything. I'm sorry you're still texting using T nine.
You have to click A four three times to get
a letter. I I'm sorry all we were such snobs
about it. If you go on TikTok right now and
do is search for the hashtag BlackBerry, it's everywhere. It's

(02:11):
young people just flipping open phones, typing like it's two
thousand and six, pretending autocorrect doesn't exist.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I love it. It's retro, it's quirky, I get it.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It's kind of cool seeing the old school tech get
a second life. I have to dig mine up, but
the chances are it is long gone, made obsolete pretty
much immediately by the iPhone. Wasn't it Sunny Mornings with
Joanna and Sean I'm Sonny six point five. Unless you
are following an actual chef on TikTok, I wouldn't recommend
getting your food recommendations from social media.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
It's sunny one of six point five. My name is Sean.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
TikTok in particular has had some pretty atrocious recommendations. Let's
talk about Italian salad dressing on vanilla ice cream awful?
How about frozen honey? People were actually getting stomach cramps
from eating frozen honey at the recommendation of TikTok for
some reason, and tani is on the line. You've got
like a TikTok food failure.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
You want to share.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Oh my gosh, the hot chips, hot chips ship.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I haven't seen this one.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Tell me about it.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
It's it's okay.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
So you have to, like your friend tricks you to eat.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
The hottest chip ever, and you know, you try to
brave it out.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
But it's it's horrible.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I like, my head felt like it was going to explode.
I couldn't feel my throat. My throat was nomb my
tongue was notm I literally we were by the gas station,
so I went in and I drank everything from a
slurpy to milk to juice to ice. It was crazy.
I was like crawling on the gas station floor was

(03:43):
so hot.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Oh man, man, So this is the I think I've
seen this, like the one chip challenge. And it comes
in like a like a coffin shaped container, doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (03:53):
For good reason?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yes, it's horrible. Do not do this. Don't do this,
You not do this.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Now, I think i'll I'll avoid most foods that come
in a coffin shaped container, just as a general rule
of thumb. Let's do some more of these calls next
this What's fun.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Sunny six point.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Sunny ONEO six point five, Las Vegas's best variety of
the eighties nineties, And today it's Sean. Let's check in
with Candice over here in enterprise. You have a TikTok
food fail?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
You want to share?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I do.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
And my roommate is like always sending me different like
you know, cool foods you sees and whatever. And he
decided to make those frozen grapes with the kool Aid
powder or whatever, kool Aid grapes like they were just
so gross and they made a huge mess if my
fingers were dyed red purple, and and I'm just like,

(04:46):
why not just eat grapes like they're sweet enough, they
don't need all that extra stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
So backtrack a little for me. You said, these are
frozen grapes with kool Aid. What's what's the process here?
What am I missing?

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Put them in a beggy and shake them with the
kool Aid powder. Ideas they end up being like sort
of sweet because of the grape, but sour because of
the kool Aid powder and like extra flavorful. But it
was it was just not worth the hype, really.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Truly, you know TikTok and occasionally be helpful here and there,
but I think that one would We can agree that
one was a failure.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Thank you so much for the call.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Hi, I have a good one coming up next.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
We're going sixty minutes commercial free to start your workday
and getting you some Universal Studios tickets with the name
drop at about eight forty.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Keep it here.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
This is Sunny Mornings Bit Joanna and Sean. I'm Sonny
one oh six point five.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
If you ever said, hey, it's only four ninety nine
a month, this is for you and me. Really, it's
Sunny One, who was six point five Las Vegas's best
variety of the eighties nineties and today my name is Sean.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
This includes me.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
We're probably all paying for something every month that we
don't even use. Experts are saying that auto renewals are
quietly costing us hundreds of dollars every year. We're spending
tons of money on forgotten subscriptions. Because everything is a
subscription these days, right, food delivery, ride shares, digital storage apps.

(06:12):
You might be paying a monthly subscription for a meditation
app that is causing you anxiety. A lot of Americans
are feeling over subscribed. According to new research, I'm one
of them. The average American is spending ninety dollars a
month or over one thousand dollars a year on subscriptions,
and even worse, the average person shells out two hundred
dollars every year on unnecessary, unused subscriptions. Things they've forgotten about.

(06:36):
You gotta watch out for those automatic renewals. Go through
your bank account. Know when your subscriptions are up so
you can cancel them appropriately. Sunny when it was six
point five, coming up in a bit, I'll give you
another chance to win a thousand dollars and tell you
about a great event happening at the Cowabunga Water Parks tomorrow.

(06:56):
I don't really think you needed more reasons to love
Cowabunga Bay and au Bunga Canyon this summer, But tomorrow
they're giving you some. They're teaching kids to swim for
free and hooking you up with some discounted at general
admission tickets. It's sunny even I was six point five.
I'm sean, I got your sunny story of the day now.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I did not realize they do this every year.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
This is put on by the World Water Park Association,
of which the cow Bunga Parks are a member, and
it is called the world's largest swim lesson. This is
free for all participants and they suggest getting there tomorrow
morning early. It starts checking starts at nine am, with
our long lessons starting at nine thirty. General manager Jesse

(07:35):
O'Daniel joined Evan Schreiber on News three. Here's a little
of what to expect tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
We've got all kinds of skills kind of planned out
for all different ages, and so we'll have different activities
for those who never touch the water, to those who
swim a lot but maybe don't have the proper technique
or you know.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
And then we've kind of got the more.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Advanced students that are like, okay, let's practice some different
strip styles. Now.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
What I love about this is that it includes a
free ticket for that day for participants of the free
swim lesson, and only twenty four to ninety nine for
add on tickets for family and friends who want to
stick around after the lesson and enjoy the park. That
is fifty percent off pretty much your regular general admission
ticket at the Calabunka Parks. Absolutely worth it. I'll put

(08:16):
everything you need to know over at Sunny Window six
five dot com. Just click on Sunny Mornings coming up
the workday, payday still roll in seven am. I got
your next chance at a free thousand dollars. Stick around,
wake up with Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
On Sunny one was six point five.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Sunny Window six point five. Las Vegas is best variety
of the eighties, nineties and today, and want to get Sean.
I don't claim to be the expert on this stuff
because and I know that I've only lived here for
about twenty months, but I think one of the biggest
misconceptions is that Vegas cannot be done on a budget,
and it definitely can. I've been working on a list
back here for a little bit.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Kids ages five to fifteen can bowl two free games
daily at places like gold Dust through the Kids Free Program.
Cinemark and Regal are offering family movies for two dollars
or less. Of course, you got the Pinball Museum with
free admission. If you want to do some retro gaming
Home Depot. I didn't know this until today. They host

(09:13):
free workshops for kids on the first Saturday of each
month and Michael's Craft Stores also has various in store
crafting events. The Discovery Children's Museum offers a Discovery Summer
Fun Pass, and for one hundred and twenty five dollars
it gets you unlimited admission for a child and three
guests through September first.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
It's a pretty great deal.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
And Springs Preserve of course has free admission for kids
under three with a paid adult. I think that is
a good thing to get you going here this summer
on a bunch of fun that's not going to.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Break the bank, all right.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Speaking of fun that won't break the bank, going to
get your family into Universal Studios with the name Drop
coming up at seven forty, So make sure you're entered
all right at Sunny Window six five dot com.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
That is on the way s
