Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas wakes up with Joanna and Sean. Here's what
you missed on Sunny Mornings.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Two thirds of adults think that they deserve an Easter basket,
and Joanna, you're one of them.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
One third of parents admit to secretly eating their kids candy.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I feel like that's me.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
I feel like that should be higher, higher than one.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Third Sunny Mornings of Joanna and Sean on Sunny Window
six point five. Obviously there's there's a rift here. I
think you're between the two of us. Look, we have
gone far enough as adults. We I think common dear
to Halloween at this point, Like that's it's become adult
weene right.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Ah, yes, I've heard about that.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I don't think we should be taken Easter two. Leave
it for the kids.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Come on, I mean, here's my thought on this that
kids obviously should have the most joy in the household,
but adults also deserve joy too.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
On a smaller scale.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Right, and our significant others and or you know, family
members should be helping us experience that joy as we
should be helping them. And an Easter basket takes little
effort to do but brings immense joy.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
So I will be treating Easter the same way I
treat Valentine's Day. I will be getting my Easter candy
on a discount the day after, don't.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I will save the actual Easter basket for my kids.
I don't think that as a parent, I think I
deserve candy simply for existing. I think I think how
the holidays lose their magic for the kids. They're like, wait,
so Mama and Papa they get a they get an
Easter basket too.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I thought this was special.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
See, I think it's I think that's actually sweet that
your kids see. Maybe the adults doing that for each other,
so like the magic never will die for them.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
They'll they'll think, they'll.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Continue their hope for years to come that the magic exists,
and when they're adults they realize that, like, you got
to make the magic happen yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
So I feel like.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Easter baskets not expensive, super easy to do, a simple
joy that all adults should be able to partake in.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I will just look, here's what I will do.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I will do what every other, uh, every other shameful
adult does, and I will simply grab a Cadbury cream
eg every once in a while at the checkout lane
and eat it in my car before I go home
like a sane adult.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Why can't you eat.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
It in front of your child?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Why?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Kids? Because I get them one either.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I got it from myself as the secret treat, like
so many.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Of us do.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
I feel like this is like an emotional support holiday.
I feel like, you know, this time of the year,
you know we're tired, right, it's almost summer. We're getting
we're getting exhausted. So the school year has been long.
Let's all enjoy Easter together, kids, adults, all of us.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
We deserve it, Okay, be honest. Are you getting your
own Easter basket? Or is that strictly for the kids?
Seven o two seven nine six one oh six five?
We'll put this on Instagram as well. Sunny Story of
the Day coming up next here, Joanna, what you got all?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Well, guess what it looks like.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Vegas is going to put on a very unexpected event
for earth months and involves cars, music, and.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
It's happening at a Legion Stadium. I'm going to fill
you in on what's coming up this April next. In
today's Sunny Story, the Day stick around good.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Vibes, good people and good news. Time for your sunny
story of the day.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
These are local good vibes that Joanna finds every morning.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
What's going on, Joe, So, Clark County is turning a
Legiance Stadium into a playground for electric cars And you
don't have to be, you know, an EV expert or
a car person to check out this event. So it's
coming up April fourth, and they're hosting this community event
where you can actually test drive electric vehicles. You can
talk to EV owners and get answers to any questions

(03:40):
that you may have that you don't want to bring
to the dealership and have awkward like sales car conversations.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, to actual.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
People who like live the evy lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I feel like the timing on this is pretty good
considering gas prices right now.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
I think a lot of people want.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
To have questions answered about what it's like having an
electric vehicle exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
And what's really cool about this event is it's not
just about the car. So when you're there, you can
actually drop off old electronics for recycling, which can be
hard to actually do.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
There's gonna be food trucks.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
There, and of course, you know because it's Vegas, a
DJ of course, which is gonna be so much fun
in that Allegiance Stadium environment. But like you said, Sean,
I mean, you know, people are trying to save on gas,
looking for new ways. Maybe they're just eedy, you know, curious,
A lot of people are. There's a lot of benefits
to having electric vehicle, and this is gonna be the
event an honor of Earth Month to do just that.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I was evy curious way back in the day and
more so now I think yep.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
So you'll definitely want to check this event out, coming
up again on the fourth of April, So if you
want to learn more maybe do good for the planet.
We're gonna put up all the details right now at
Sundy window six five dot com.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Just click on Sunny Mornings and that's your sunny story
of the day. And all right, every now.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
And then, it's always nice to celebrate, you know, those
little victories happening in our lives. So Stephanie's on the
phone right now and wants to share her recent victory
this morning. Stephanie, what's going on?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
So, my kid, we just discovered crayon.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Thought it would be great to color my favorite table
and at first I've freaked.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Out, and then I fortunately took the.

Speaker 7 (05:09):
Magic eraser to it and it erased it, and I
am thrilled, and that was a big victory of to day.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
It's my favorite table and it's fine.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I mean, it's a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Anytime you see your kid walking off with a crayon somewhere,
it's a nightmare, right, Yeah, totally.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Well listen for us this morning.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
We're kind of glad that you tested the magic eraser
theory and that it actually works.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
It works, no ofect.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Well, don, I'm sure you're just going to be keeping
an eagle eye now on your kid anytime they got
crams with them.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Huh for sure.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Awesome. Well, thanks for the call this morning, Stephanie. We're
glad your table is nice and clean.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
SAX Sunday Mornings with Joanna and Sean right here on
Sunny one. It was six point five, another beautiful day
to welcome another beautiful guest into our studio. And this
one's going to be fun because the women we're about
to introduce you to play such an instrumental role in
her annual study one. I was six point five's Las

(06:02):
Vegas Largest baby shower, so It's an honor to have
her in studio today.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Is all part of our Women Who Shine program which
we do every year honoring woen on our community who
are doing incredible things. And welcome to the show this morning,
Jillian mone Lopez. She is the AVP of Community Engagement
for HCA Healthcare.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Thanks for joining us. Hello, happy to be here.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
We're happy to talk with you. So before we.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Get into some questions, just give our audience a little
background about your journey to your position now with HCA Healthcare.
Where did you start out in your career, How long
you've been in Southern Nevada, all that good stuff.

Speaker 8 (06:33):
Absolutely well, I have been in Southern Nevada almost my
whole life. I wish I could say I was born
and raised, but I pretty much was. So I've been
here since I was about three years old and just
absolutely loved Las Vegas. Who studied at the Meadows School
here in town, and so always had a big calling
for leadership and what could you do in your community?

(06:54):
How can you use your education to help others? I
went to Chicago after school for a little bit and
ended up back here very unexpectedly, and I'm so glad
I did because it has just been the best energy.
With the Knights coming in, there's been such a feeling
of community where our city finally feels like it's starting
to get in league with the Chicago's, the Las, the
New York's where we've got that buzz. So to be

(07:16):
in community work right now is really an exciting place.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
To be at.

Speaker 8 (07:19):
Not quite at the ground floor, but I think there's
lots of opportunity and still lots of room for growth.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
That we all can do together.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Definitely, and you're doing amazing things in your position with
HCA Healthcare.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
But we are a radio station here, so our.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Lives focus around a variety of music. So if you
could pick maybe an anthem, a theme song, the song
that you would want playing every time you walk into
a room, that motivates you, what song is that for you?

Speaker 8 (07:44):
Oh my gosh, well music is life for me? First
of all, this is a very hard question to picckt
just one. I wish I had a soundtrack to my
life that was playing. That would be so cool. So
this is very nerdy, and I don't think that this
is like an anthem, but a song that really makes
me happy every single time and again gets me back
into that optimistic mindset, jump around by House of Pain.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
There's a reason that Golden Knight's picking.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
It's just awesome, right, and somehow I know all the words.
It's very confusing, but that song. And then I love
Elton John, anybody who plays piano. I'm a huge fian
of so Honky Cat has been one of those songs
that again.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Hardy Cat, very deep cut.

Speaker 8 (08:18):
Oh it's it's deep and I don't know why, but
I remember hearing it when I was.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Little and I was like, what a cool crash. That's awesome. Yeah,
that gets me.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
I think it reminds me of my childhood a lot,
and it just kind of gives me a pep in
my step. It's a very very odd off record type.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Of thing, but I love it. How's the Pain to
Elton John? We love the We love it.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Jillian Mone Lopez, you were such a breath of fresh
air this morning. Thank you so much for being a
part of Women Who Shine twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Thank you, thank you so much for having me here.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
What's to watch? Where to go? And what everyone's talking about?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Here we go Joe in the Now, our daily entertainment report, Joanna,
What's the Scoop.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Well, there's some major excitement this morning building around Selena Dion.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Now she is officially fueling.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Comeback rumors, but unfortunately not here in Las Vegas, in
the City of Lights Paris. Now, she posted something on
Instagram with the caption I don't know how to tell you,
and it was a series of like throwback photos of
her in Paris. So fans are speculating that she is
going to be performing for the first time in years
since she had, you know, put her tour on pause

(09:24):
because of her battle with stiff person syndrome. This will
be where she makes her comeback, the City of Lights
in Paris, and it's speculated that it will be in
September and October, so sooner than we all think.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I don't have a joke here.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
I'm just elated that her health is in a place
that allows her to perform again, because you know how
it's joy it brings her and how much joy it
brings her fans.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, and then hopefully she comes back here to Vegas.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Yes, I love me some Celenion, all right, And I
also love me some secret lives of Mormon wives and
that universe is expanding.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
So a spinoff is reportedly in the works.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
With an entirely new cast and a very fresh setting.
Orange County, californ will be the new setting of the
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Only one original cast member
is set to be a part of that cast. But yeah,
I mean, you know, it's been put on pause because
of all the Taylor Frankie Paul drama, and you know,
fans want more Secret Lives of Mormon Wives drama.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
That probably helps to get some focus on an entirely
new set of folks.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I Ye, closer to the West Coast too, California. I
can't wait for that one.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
And I think you're gonna like this one.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Sean Channing Tatum, he's entering his romance romance novel Era Real,
and he's writing a book, a steamy book. I guess
it's going to be centered on two friends who make
a pack to Mary if they're both still single at
forty and then they actually fall in love. But it's
being teased as a very sexy book, so we'll.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
See what happens. But I don't know about you.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I'm just imagining, you know, like fabio, like Channing Tatum
on the cover of this gotta be shirtless.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I'm guaranteed my wife, you'll be listening to this on
audio book without me knowing.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
I know, especially if it's read by Channing Hannah himself.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Oh my god, take my money now. All right, that's
entertainment report for this morning. I'm Joe, and now you're
in the know.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Your listening to Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm
Sunny one six point five.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Even when you think relationships are over, sometimes they still
linger around for terrible reasons.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
It's Joanna and Sean and we have one.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Of our listeners on the phone with us this morning, Chelsea.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
He's gonna fill us in on a little bit of
drama happening in terms of dating her sister an ex.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It just seems messy, Chelsea, Thanks for holding here.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
So this is kind of like a relationship you know
you thought was over, but it's still not quite out
of your life.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
What's going on?

Speaker 5 (11:42):
I am just in a dilemma.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Three years ago now.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
I broke up with my ex and I haven't thought
about it much. I'm dating someone else now. Kind of
seemed irrelevant, but my sister just reads out to me
and asked me if she could start going out with him. Yeah,
and I know that that's not illegal or anything. There's

(12:09):
not a strict rule. But I just.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Don't know how to feel about this.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
I feel weird, and I don't it was three years ago.
I don't know if this is something that I should
let go or if this is always going.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
To be gnawing at me if it's weird.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
No, I think we get it is the concern there.
Do you think you think your sister might have been
you know, maybe eyeing up trying to like get with
your your guye when you were when you were with him.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Oh wow, I didn't even think about that.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Oh, sorry for me to put that in your head
if that wasn't there already.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I feel like I'm thinking about so many different things here. Yeah,
this is messy, Chelsea.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
But we want to help you out. So we're going
to ask our listeners this.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Morning, you know, to chime in and to give you
some advice and we'll try to help you out along
the way and navigate the situation.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
It's it's a tough one, girl, Just hang on for us,
So will you please?

Speaker 7 (12:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:59):
Please?

Speaker 1 (13:00):
All right?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Seven oh two seven nine six, one oh six five?
What should Chelsea do here? Is her sister wrong?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
We want to know? Yeah, Sonny Warmer six points.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Sunday Mornings, Joanna and Sean right here on Sunny when
I was six point five. All right, we're helping out
Chelsea this morning, who's dealing with a little bit of dating.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Dilemma in regards to her sister and an ex.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
So she broke up with this guy three years ago,
and now her sister is dating the guy.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Anya, thanks for calling. And what should Chelsea do here?

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (13:34):
Yeah, I think I would just be honest and just
be like, I don't feel.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Comfortable with this.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Absolutely, he wasn't good for me. Why would I think
is good for you? You just are better get somebody else.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yeah, I think we're agreeing with you Anya this morning.
And I mean also, like, what does that kind of
say about the sister?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Right?

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Like? Were you checking out my guy when I was
dating him?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Like?

Speaker 6 (13:54):
What that too? It just feels so incestuous, Like no,
you know, grows so many dudes out there, you got
to you got to pick the one that you know
that I that I dated, right.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Yeah, Absolutely, I didn't even like my girlfriend writing not
less a family member, and then I have to see
this person also like in all the family affairs and
all that. No, I would just be honest and just
tell her no, it just doesn't buy it with us.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
No.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah, you bring up a good point on you. I
mean I don't want to see you at Thanksgiving. I
broke up with you. We've been done, like I don't
want to eat turkey with you. Yeah, I mean it's
gonna be interesting to see how this plays.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Out for sure, Anya, thank thanks for the call, Onya,
I thank you seven o two seven nine six one
oh six five. Should Chelsea be okay with this? Or
should she tell her sister to back off her? X?

Speaker 3 (14:43):
What a what a topic this morning?

Speaker 4 (14:45):
All right, we're going commercial free coming up next, plus
your chance to win your way into the disney Land
Resort with the name drop at eight forty seven one
six five dot com for your chance to sign up
and win.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Son one o six point side.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
What would you do if your sister wanted to date
your ex? Good morning and Sean, And that's exactly what we're.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Trying to help Chelsea deal with this morning.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yes, her sister wants to go out with her ex boyfriend. Yes,
it's been three years, but it's still making Chelsea feel weird.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Absolutely, So who's in the wrong here? Is Chelsea wrong
fulfilling that way? Is her sister wrong for doing it?
Let's go to Lonnie. What do you think here? Should
Chelsea's sister be dating her EGX or not?

Speaker 7 (15:28):
No, man, that's girl code. Girl code is two things
you do not do. Is you do not go out
with your sister's boyfriends or ex'es or whatever, like total
girl code. That's like a shutdown on me any person.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Lonnie, We agree with you, Lonnie.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I gotta tell you. I think that same principle applies
to bro code too. I think that goes both guys.
I think you're on the right path here.

Speaker 7 (15:51):
Yeah, bro code, and definitely with girl code, like it
should be a no brainer, common sense stuff.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Sister code. Come on, yeah we agree?

Speaker 7 (16:01):
Yeah exactly, girl codes, witch code.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Whatever either way.

Speaker 7 (16:05):
Now I would have to have a serious talk with
my sister and let her know that you know what
you're really pushing like a boundary here of the cut
off point? Do you what's more important me or you
know my ex that you are now dating. Do you
realize what this is doing.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
So messy.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
But yeah, we agree with you, Lannie. I mean it's
a great perspective.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Thank you, Lannie. We appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (16:32):
Appreciate you guys.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
You'all take care all right.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Well, this whole time we've been talking to people this
morning and taking calls, Chelsea has been listening to what
people have been saying.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
So, Chelsea, we're bringing you back on the line right now.
How you feeling? What are you thinking? Girl? Tell us?

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yeah, And I don't want to be.

Speaker 7 (16:51):
I don't want to like ruin her life or anything.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I don't want to tell her.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
Who we're going to have to date. There's a reason
I broke up with him. We weren't meant to be together.
I'm just gonna let them figure it.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Out, Okay, I mean I think I just think also,
like the more I think about this, right, like, the
guy's kind of a jerk, Like really, like you had
to go after your ex's sister.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Look, it's like a million fish in the sea, and
he chose the same pond that he was that he
was kind of already in, you know.

Speaker 7 (17:19):
Yeah, not the best look for him, not the best book.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
No, And then yeah, having him at family stuff like
not no, that's not gonna be fun.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
But you know, if you're not going to say anything, Chelsea,
we wish you nothing but the best of luck here
because it could get messy.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
And if it gets if it gets any worse, i mean,
just you know, run him off the road, make it
look like an ASCO.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
I'm the worst.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Thank you Chelsea for letting all of us kind of
like air out your your laundry this morning.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (17:50):
All right man who audience felt pretty unanimous this morning, right, Yeah,
everyone's seemed to be on the same page here.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
We're all feeling that this is so wrong. Your sisters
in the wrong, the exes in the wrong.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Chelsea needs to speak up, and or if it gets worse,
go after his dad date is dad?

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Date is Dad? There you go? That makes things so
much better.
