Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas wakes Up with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Here's what you missed on Sunday mornings.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
It is a feel good Friday on Sunny one oh
six point five. Las Vegas is best variety the eighties
nineties and today got our feel good music going. That
means you got to share your good news with us.
Seven oh two, seven nine to six, one oh six five.
Now while we wait for someone to light up line one. Here, Joanna,
let's put you on the spot. It's got you feeling
good today.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Oh you know what I'm feeling so good about. So
you know, I've talked about this a few times. My
son brock a speech Delaide and he just turned four
years old, and I feel like recently we've had an
explosion of words. Ooh, and it's a really exciting time
in my household. And I think one of the most
exciting things that happened this week was he can say
his name, which is brock Yeah, and he called himself Brocky,

(00:47):
which is what we call him too, which is cute,
but he can spell it. And at dinner we're like, Brocky,
spell your day, but he's like, b ah, oh see kay,
he got a cheer squad. I love he really does
emphasizes the kay at the end, so we all go
crazy at dinner and it has just been an explosion.
And so that's got me feeling good because there have

(01:09):
been times during his speech delayed challenges and delays that,
like you know, as a parent, you loose sleepover right,
you worry about your child's future, even when they're only
four years old.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So to be able to yeah sorry all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
So to be able to hear his voice, it's such
a cute voice, and to hear him just be excited
about saying things and talking is pretty special.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Let me just tell you this.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
For as long as I've known Brock, he is the
most joyful kid, and he expresses so much joy just
through his expressions that he's just a delight to be
around all the time. So I'm overjoyed to.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Beg this morning. But thank you, thank you for sharing
in yeah, the feel good vibes that I am so
feeling right now in my life.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Can't wait till we have to have him on here
at some point.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yes, spelling his name right, absolutely only.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Let's go to line one here, Good morning, who's.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
This Hey, it's Sam what's going on?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Sam, hit us with's some good news. What's got you
feeling good today?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Hey, oh man, I am so overjoyed and I'm so
proud of my daughter. She just got accepted it to
this tech school that she's really been trying hard to
get into. So instead of the typical learning that she
get at regular high schools, she's want to be learning
about coding, marketing, AI, you know, good transferable skills for

(02:28):
the future. Whether her dad. Am just supremely proud of her.
She worked hard and she made it happen.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Oh my gosh, I believe it.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Man, We're got the tissue box. Where is the tissue box?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I've seen the praises of tech schools and trade schools
all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
You got to be feeling really good about that.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Oh, thank you so much. Man. I'm just overjoyed. I'm
proud of her.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, shout out to her, your daughter, tell us you're
her name.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Her name is Jazzmine. I just want to say, hey,
jazz Whine, I love you, baby, and congrats you work
hard and then pay.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
You got a good dad too, you we I'm sure
you had a hand in it for sure. Well appreciate
the call. And congrats to you all right, Greig, thank you,
just parents celebrating all kinds of progress this morning.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Love Fat that's so awesome.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Coming up our sunny story of the day, Joanna, what's
going on?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Well, housing help is becoming a reality right here in
our community. Finally attainable housing communities. I'm going to tell
you about the first one that had a ribbon cutting
this week and all those details next in today's sunny
Story of the day.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Good vibes, good people, and good news. Time for your
sunny story of the day.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
That is exactly what it is, good news from right
here in the valley.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
What's going on, Joanna, So, a milestone moment for attainable
housing here in the valley. A whole bunch of important
people got together this week for a ribbon cutting at
Paradise Trails, which is a new Las Vegas community that's
now officially the first to benefit from Nevada's Attainable Housing program.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Everybody needs more attainable affordable housing around here.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yeah, So a law got passed last year to make
buying a home more realistic for working families. Now, through
this program, qualified buyers can receive down payment assistance along
with help covering closing costs and lowering interest rates as well.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Anything that makes the dream, the true American dream of
being a homeowner more attainable for anyone is a bonus.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Love it yep.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
So it looks like this policy is working with real
homes for real families in our community, which is great
now for buyers out there, the assistance could start as
soon as April first, which is like right.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Around the corner.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
So if you want to learn more about this incredible program,
you can right now at Sunday one of sixty five
dot com. Just click on Sunday Mornings and that's your
Sunny story of the day. Sunday six point five Sunday
Mornings with Joanna and Sean, Happy Feel Good Friday. We're
about to drop another name for Disneyland resort tickets, plus

(04:57):
give you a pretty cool surprise announcement about Disneyland Resorts,
so stay tuned for that. First, we just got to
talk a little smack this morning. Kashawan and I love
a friendly bet and we both predicted five categories for
our iHeartRadio Music Awards last night, and we're gonna talk
about who got more.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I know you can't wait to say who won here.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
So last night's show was so good. Before we reveal that,
I just want to play. I think Ludacrist is such
a great job hosting last night. He's awesome and this
was my favorite part of his just his opening monologue.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
This is not your average award. So okay, tonight we're
doing things a little differently. No long speeches, no dragging
everything out.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I want you to thank.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
God and go all right now if you start going along,
I'm telling you right now, this is what you're gonna hear.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Oh and they used it.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
They used it throughout the show. And the bad news
for you, Joanna, is that I saved it.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Up.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
You're gonna hear that. If you go too long this morning,
you're gonna get You're gonna get looted.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I don't have access to that right off.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
We predicted five categories last night to some of the
bigger awards. Song of the Year, you said, Manchild by
Sabrina Carpenter and my guests was Fate of Aphelia.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
We were both wrong. It was Alex Warren's Ordinary Artist
of the Year.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I went bad, Bunny, you went tailor, you got that
one nice pop Artist of the Year I said, Sabrina.
You said Tate McCrae. I had that one pop song
of the year. I said gold in which we just played.
I was wrong because you got it with Fada Ophelia.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Wow, I'm kind of surprisingly mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
And then best new pop artists who really deserved it
to Alex Warren massive hit with Ordinary, He's so good
performed live. We both said, Alex. There, so you actually
took the cake here with Hey, you were three out
of five. I was two out of five, but not terrible.
Taylor's not a terrible bet to make on any awards show.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I guess I'm going to the casino this weekend.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Keep it up, all right?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
We got let's drop a name Heresney Atland ticket and yes.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
And look here's the thing. We have an extra pair.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Extra four pack.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Oh yeah, excuse me, extra four pack. So we're not
just doing one name drop this morning. We're gonna do three.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
That's right, so right now, which is our regular time?
Six forty then eight forty plus you're gonna want to
mark this in your phone right now to set an
alarm for nine forty. We are dropping a bonus name,
a bonus chance from all the entries at nine forty this.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Morning, So right now we're looking for Mikayla Nafa. Mikayla Nafa,
you got to call us back here in the next
ten minutes seven oh two, seven nine six, one oh
six five to claim your Disneyland tickets, and then we'll
do it twice more.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Eight forty nine forty. Good luck. You're listening to Sunday
Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sonny one oh six
point five Sunny.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
One six point five. We've got some good, feel good
Friday news this morning. Males are making a comeback, and
it's not because of us millennial it's all thanks gen Z.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Right, we get millennials, we get blamed for killing everything
chain restaurants and malls and the diamond industry. I mean,
what's next, But yeah, gen Z is I guess bringing
They actually they want the full experience. They're tired of
all the online shopping that we've all been doing for
so long, so they actually like walking around and going
to the food court and stuff. But man, I mean,
you and I were just having a conversation what yesterday

(08:23):
about a store in the mall called gad Zooks.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Remember that good.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Old gad zookes. It was such like a hip, like
trendy store, like bright, colorful clothing, like a little bit
on the wild side, but like super fun.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, And we were just kind of thinking about all
those those stores that we had to go to every
single time. But right, a lot of those, thanks to
us millennials, I guess don't exist because of the whole
mall situation. But I mean, if there is a store
I could bring back in the mall, Joanna, I would
probably start with like a Sam Goodie, like I love those,
just to browse through CDs for an hour and then

(08:57):
you go put on those disgusting headphones eyone else was
wearing and listened to a twelve second clip of a
chorus to see if I wanted to buy the CD.
Let me have that experience.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Again, I mean the bright neon sign of the Sam Goodie, right,
like you remember that, like feeling like it was so
bright in there aisles of music to explore, like it
was cool to like walk out of there with the
Sam Goodie bag. I love that answer for me, Man,
there's a lot because I was a mall girl for sure.
I had like five mall jobs. I think growing up

(09:28):
but but for me, I'm gonna actually say KB Toys,
and I'm gonna tell you why, just because I'm a
mom now, I used to love going by KB Toys
and they'd have like the little the little cart outside
of like the like walking hamster, like the little like
electronic cat that would just like move on its own.
I just think it was so cool and like going
in there and just looking at the aisles, and I

(09:50):
don't know, I would love to experience like that with
my kids, and like as they grow up, I'm like,
what's gonna bring them to the mall? Well, I'll lure
them in the toys. So KB Toys was such an
iconic store where I wish would come back.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Absolutely, And as an honorable mention, I'm going to toss
out what Spencer Gifts used to be because it's still around, right,
but not nearly as risque as that place.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
It used to be the.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Store we shouldn't be in here? Should we? When we
were kids? But now it's way tamer now. But give
me the original Spencer Gifts. I would love to see
that come back to the mall.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
The risk was, I guess, like the world was just
nothing shocks people anymore. So that's why they had to
like totally shift their like model, right, But yeah, that
was such a good one.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
What's that one mall story you were obsessed with and
you wish was still around? Seven oh two seven nine
six one oh six five Sunny Story of the day
here coming up next, Joanna, what's happening well?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Housing help here in the valley may becoming a reality.
I'm going to tell you how you could maybe be
a part of this program that's going to help people
get into homes here in our community. Those details next
with today's Stunny Story of the day, Sunny one oh
six point sunny one o six point five. A good morning,

(11:00):
Joanna and Sean. Another beautiful morning to introduce another incredible
woman here in the community, which we've been doing all
month long spotlighting incredible women that are making an impact
on Southern Nevada through our annual Women Who Shine program.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
This morning, we're going to welcome to the studio Wendy
hodges Ken. She is the director of Development for Junior
Achievement of Southern Nevada. Wendy, thank you for coming in
this morning.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
All Right, so we're going to dive into a little
bit more later about Junior Achievement and the incredible work
here in Southern Nevada, But first we want to get
to know you. How long have you been here in
Southern Nevada. Tell us about your career journey to becoming
the director of development at Junior Achievement.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
Absolutely, thank you again for having me. So I've been
in Las Vegas for probably about five years, okay, and
this was something that happened kind of over COVID, kind
of back and forth, and you know, decided to say
because I enjoyed my family that was here.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
And so I actually worked for Junior Achievement twenty five
years ago.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
I was the vice president of education for JAY Dallas
and when I saw this position opened up up in
not Las Vegas, I thought, oh my gosh, I would
love to you know, recreate some of the you know,
the magic that was able to happen in Dallas, And
thankfully I was awarded the position. And so being on
the development side now I really see the program full
circle and the amazing things that Jayausa is able to

(12:16):
do all across the country.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Can you tell because I've toured this, can you tell Sean,
everybody listening to worry a little bit about the inspiration
center here in our community because this is such a
hidden gem. I've been here since two thousand and nine
and I just toured not too long ago, and I
was blown away at what is right here in our city.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
So there's one side is for elementary school students. The
other and that's called Biztown. The other side is for
middle and high schoolers and it's called Finance Park, And
it really is eye opening for young people. It's a
career exploration. Oftentimes, our kids think, you know Taco Bell
which is in our location, they do, you know, that's
one of their best places? And how often can they
eat out?

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Well?

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Cox is there, and you know what kind of data
package can I get? So we begin to ask, well,
are you homeschooling your children? Do you need a high
speed internet in the middle of the day.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I think the most shocking thing for me and even
right now my current life, is how expensive child care is.
So I get to learn all those fun surprises at
a young age, which will I think stay with them
for the long term, which is what the sole purpose is.

Speaker 6 (13:15):
Absolutely, we have a state mandate that says some people
should have at least a semester of personal finance before
they graduate high school. But it's an unfunded mandate, so
our legislators understand that this is important information, sure, but
we have to make sure that there's some resources behind
it so that our educators can get, you know, professional
development and then really begin to share what that you know,
what it means to manage your own finances.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Wendy, I got to say, I think junior achievement is
in really really great hands with you at the wheel
as the director of development.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
You are such like a breath of fresh air.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Your energy, the way you lead with your heart, You
can tell how much you care, and it is just infectious,
it really is.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
It's contagious.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Thank you and thank you for being a part of
our twenty twenty six Women Who Shine. I'm valuable.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Thank you? What's to watch?

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Where to go?

Speaker 1 (13:58):
And what everyone's talking?

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Here we go with a special iHeartRadio Music Awards edition
of our Entertainment Report.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
What's going on? Joanna?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I think last night's theme was cute couples, confidence and courage.
We all know the c couple we're talking about, Taylor
and Travis. Of course, of course we have seen that,
But let's talk about the other two. Miley Cyrus receiving
the Innovator Award last night. She had a real standout moment,
kind of opening up up about how embracing a fake
persona early in her career actually helped her find confidence.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
I fell in love with the idea that you can
create a persona that gives you the confidence and the
courage to perform authentically, and that sometimes the fake you
can actually reveal the real you.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Words of wisdom.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, and I feel like we're getting the best version
of Miley these days, So that's so awesome. John Mellen
Camp had a standout moment, or should I say, maybe
his daughter did, when she presented him with the Icon Award,
delivering a very emotional conversation at the beginning of that
let's hear, let's.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Hear that sometimes you get sick and you don't get better.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
He wasn't going to let that lyric define my life.
He stepped up, took control, fought for me, and pretty
much changed my life, saved my.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Life talking about her her flight with brain cancer.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
There.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
That was emotional.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, that was powerful. It cuts to John, I had
to grab the tissues we all know he's such a
rock legend, right, That's why he was deserving that Icon Award.
But he's also a pretty incredible father. So that's your
entertainment wrap up from last night's iHeartRadio Music Awards. I'm Joe.
You're in the know, and there's still plenty of chances
for you now to still see those moments from last night.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Starting today, you can rewatch our iHeartRadio Music Awards on
Hulu anddfox dot com.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Sonny one O six Foine Sunny Winner six Floit and five.
It's a feel good Friday. It's Joanna and Sean. Are
you feeling good? Is there something you're celebrating? If so,
we want to hear from you. Seven oh two seven
nine six one six vibe. I talked about why I
was feeling good earlier this morning. Sean. Now I'm putting

(16:03):
you on the spotlight. Why you feeling good?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Headed into the weekend, Well, I'm going to be seeing
my fellow board members from the Ronald McDonald House of
Greater Las Vegas this weekend for the first time since
we've announced our second Chance prompt. So I'm just looking
forward to talking to them about it.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
I know they're Amped and they all speaking of Amped.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
It is at the Amped Lounge at the m Resort
on Saturday, May second, and it's going to be a
blast eighties theme, bring your big hair, your neon. It
is free to attend, and it's just going to be
such a great time benefiting the Ron McDonald house on
the great work that they do there. So I'm excited
to see them and just feed off of their energy.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I love that. Yeah, that's definitely a reason to feel good. Yeah,
SUNNYWEO six five dot cam dot com to get those
free tickets because you do have to register at least
you know, you know the pay anything, but you do
have to register and we'll see you there on May second.
All right. I love that the phone lines have been
lighting up this morning. Who's on hold? Ready to tell
some good news?

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Now we got Craig, good morning. What's going on with
you today?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
What's going on? And it starts out as a tragedy.
I hit a telephone pole with my car the.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Other day, kind of being an idiot, hit the gas
too hard and damn right into it.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
And I thought I was going to have to spend
all this money on repairs and stuff.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah, so I went on YouTube and the.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Videos were like, just just.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Use like heat it up with a blower, hair dryer
or something, it'll just pop out.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
So I went in my bathroom, got my hair dryer and.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Turned it on, and like four minutes later, sure enough,
everything looks like nothing ever happened. Hey, I had. Man,
that means you must have had that hair dryer on
for a while. You burn that thing out.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
It was on high for a couple of minutes for sure.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Oh man, my gosh, I mean that's that's pretty incredible.
I've seen a little bit of this on YouTube before,
but I mean, you really had a flex a muscle there. Huh.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
It didn't even take any muscles, It just popped right
back into place.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
We'll look at that, man, Well, work smarter, not harder.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
I guess. Good for you man. Congrats guy. I gotta
save that tip for another day. I have no idea. Yeah,
it will coming up next to our sunny story of
the day. Thank you, Craig. By the way, what's in
our sunny story today, Joanna.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Well, we're going to talk about housing help becoming a
reality right here in our community. Housing prices are astronomical,
but there is relief on the way in a brand
new community, going to fill you in on those details.
It's our sunny story of the day and it's up next.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny
one oh six point five Sunny.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Winter six point five. It's Joanna and Sean a feel
good Friday. Indeed, because we have a bonus chance for
you to win a four pack of tickets to the
disney Land Resort, a name will be dropped if you
entered our name drop contest. Everybody is in the running
right now for those nine forty tickets, so be listening
then hopefully it's your name.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Now we're dragging a little bit.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
We were both up last night watching our Iheartrating Music Awards,
which were just such a blast. Ludacris should just host everything.
I love how we started the show.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
This is not your average award. So okay, tonight we're
doing things a little differently. No long speeches, no dragging
everything out. I want you to thank God and go
all right way now if you start going along, I'm
telling you right now, this is what you're gonna hear.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Luda.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
I've been I've been hitting Joanna with the Luda all morning, Houda.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Every time she talks.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
Too long, I need to butt on my side too, buddy.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I love it, but I mean, what a hose. He
was awesome.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
And then Miley. You had a moment from Miley last
night that.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
I thought she was just so genuine right in what
she had to say to the audience. I mean, it's
been a big week for her with the hand of
Montana twentieth anniversary celebration that's been going on, and she
just had really something I think that a lot of
people out there need to hear.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
I fell in love with the idea that you can
create a persona that gives you the confidence and the
courage to perform authentically and that sometimes the fake you
can actually reveal the real you.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
That was her taking her Innovator Award home last night.
Part of that speech, she was just very She's always
been to such like an interesting persona right, and the
way she's evolved throughout the years.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
It's literally though, my favorite Miley is like current day Miley,
so like everything that she did, everything that she was
saying like led her to be her true self right now,
which is the best Miley Cyrus.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
And I think the moment that hit.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
The moment that hit home the hardest for me last
night was sitting on the couch with my daughter Hallo,
yeah and watching Taylor Swift talk you got Artists of
the Year.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
But she talked about all the negative feedback you get
from the world when you try to present a craft,
something you're working on to the world. But you know,
and she wanted she was encouraging people to focus on
themselves and to well, I'll play this.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I hope that.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
You get to nurture your hobby and your passion just
between you and that craft, and you give yourself time,
give yourself time to make mistakes, give yourself time to
your craft. I'm a firm believer that anything you feed
your mind it will internalize. Anything you feed the Internet,
it will attempt to kill. And I don't want that
for your dreams.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I was really glad to have my daughter watch her
say that on TV last night.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Too powerful statement. Every you know, everyone's got to be
reminded of that.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Yeah, Well, do things for yourself and because they bring
you joy, you know, and not because you want to
hear what the internet has.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, but likes the feedback from people you don't know
and who don't matter, like you know, focus on your
dreams and don't let anybody you know get in the
way of that pretty powerful.

Speaker 1 (21:33):

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
