Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas's official Christmas music station, Sunny Wind, was six
point five with Joanna and Sean. Joanna, I could not
wait to share this with you. There is a controversial
study out there that was just done that says a
quarter of our country says that this traditional dish does
not belong at Thanksgiving and it is green bean castrole.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
These are my people right here, Joanna.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Green bean castrole is so good and I don't know
if these people are making it wrong. Oh with cream
of mushroom camel soup added, with the crispy onions on top,
are y'all craziest best side dish?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Seven two, seven nine six, one oh six five? Will
you get rid of green bean castrole from your Thanksgiving table? I,
for one, have always frankly hated it. I think there
are far better vegetable options out there on broccoli, call
of flower, even creamed spinach before I jump on the

(00:55):
green bean castrole.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I love a cream spinach. But again, I need to
bring you in my green bean castle. I promise you
it's like changing.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Maybe I just haven't had good green bean castacky. Let's
go to Britt. What do you think, Britt? Are you
keeping or getting.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Rid of it.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
I don't love green beans. It's not really something we
have a Thanksgiving. So I guess I agree because I'm
not really.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Happening them anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Okay, I love that you've kickstarted this, you've already eliminated it.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, this is not for us, no vegetable.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Though, I mean, can't we get rid of something else, like.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I know, cranberry sauce or something.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, it's not the best, but you kind of have
to do.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
It, true, you do, cranberry sauce always has to be there.
But I like that you've you've already kick started this
campaign for me to get rid of green beans, and hopefully,
hopefully the whole country's on board will do it one.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Play at a time. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Thanks all right, Britt was not on my side, she
was on your side.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
But maybe Pam, she's been on hall. She'll be on
my side this morning. Good morning, Pam. Are you team
green bean or not?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
I totally am voting for keeping the green bean?

Speaker 6 (01:55):
What you want to get rid of?

Speaker 5 (01:56):
The one vegetable present.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
On the thing giving table?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Like, there's already so much it's all starchy stuff, you know,
stuffing potatoes, like keep the green beans. You need some color.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Come on, come on.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
You might be the only person saying that today. I'm
hoping really no, no.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Me too, I'm with you a pan and again the
French onions on top. Those are so good. So yeah,
I mean, just to have the green on the table.
It's what you need for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
I love the g I love green. I made these great.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Garlicy green beans.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
They're delicious and everybody likes them.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
That sounds kind of good too.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, yeah, I know you like the garlic. You're all
about the garlic. Yeah, it looks like we're even here now.
Thank you for the call.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Pan.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
We'll get a tie break around here in just a
few minutes. But first, what's coming up next? In the
Sunny Story of the day, Joanna.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
When life gets tough, a little kindness can go a
long way, and recently one local group proved just how
far it can go. This is a very uplifting store
you don't want to miss. Stick around. It's your sunny
story of the day, Sunny one six.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Because we could all use a smile.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
This is your sunny story of the day.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
A little dose of positivity, Joanna, what's going on.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
So recently, the Brave Hearts Foundation gave families in our
community facing one of life's toughest battles a raisin to smile.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Known for supporting.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Children diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones, Brave Hearts
hosted an early Thanksgiving celebration filled with comfort, care.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
And so much more.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Oh my gosh, look, every dose of brightness you can
put into these kids' lives when they're dealing with something
so heavy is incredible.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Now the foundation goes beyond just emotional support. They help
with everyday needs like cleaning homes and decorating for the holidays,
so families can really focus on what truly matters, health
and being together this time of the year. So dozens
of people gathered for a very heart fel event, including
you know, Braveheart's own members, who really wanted to create

(04:05):
a space of gratitude and hope to shine on those
children and their families.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
This is not an organization I was aware of, so
thank you for bringing this up today because I think
a lot of people might want to help.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Out absolutely now.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
This is a beautiful reminder for all of us that
kindness can make the hardest journeys a little bit lighter,
and if you do want to get involved, like Sean said,
you can read more about Braveheart's Foundation and the incredible
work they do at Study one o six five dot com.
Just click on Sunny Mornings. Now, let's hear from mary
Anne this morning. Maryanne, you have some incredible news.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
That you want to share.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
I have excellent news.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Okay, So this year we were kind of worried about this,
but my.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Company told us all that we had a great year.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
So we're really going to actually have a holiday party,
all right, and bonuses.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
So wow, it's a great year.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
We're going to party, Harty, and I'll have a a couple.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Of punch for eating every one of you.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
You might add some extra cheer to that tropical.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Punch, I think right, that's right. Your last name to
Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny one o
six point five.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Joanna and Sean on Sunny Widow six point five. Twenty
five percent of Americans want to get rid of green
beans from the Thanksgiving table.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Joanna is not one of those people.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
Definitely not my favorite green.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Bean kesse Roll Britt wants to get rid of them.
Pam wants to keep them. We need a tiebreaker on
the line right now, Morgan, what do you think are
we keeping or getting rid of green beans?

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Honestly, leave a green below.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
I can tolerate that.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Get rid of squash I didn't think of all right,
so you say keep the green beans and you hate
to hate the squash?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Why is that? Yep, it's terrible. It's a terrible food.
It's can be so hungry to eat a.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Squash, and like it's Thanksgiving, You're not that hungry. You've
been eating all day. There's clothes, the food to go. Yeah,
just get rid of it, don't waste it.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Ah, we agree there, I think, But I'm so excited
the green beans can stay.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Just the squash has gotta go. It's like green beans.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
At least greens You're like, you get to be like,
oh I'm so healthy. Look at me.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Squash, which is like.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
This is just wet gonk. I've never heard a better
description of squash. All right, well, I appreciate it. I
guess I'm losing this one this year. But thank you
for the call.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
You know what we have to do now, though, Joanna,
we got it.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
We have to rally pick our mount Rushmore of Thanksgiving
sides and then decide what's gonna stay on the table
this year for each of us, and the listeners decide
who wins on that.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, so let's pick our top top four side dishes
each and then over on our Instagram page at study
one six five LV.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
People can vote.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Sure, I'll let you start. I already know what you're
gonna go with.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
No, you're not.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
I'm gonna throw a wrench in here right now because
even though I love green bean castrole, I love stuffing more.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
You're go stuffing is number one for you. I'm going
with the sweet potato cast role. That's gonna be my
number one pick.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Okay, I'm gonna go with mashed potatoes.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Okay, wanttery maat potato, second mac and cheese for me?
Pick number two?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Okay, Okay, now I think I'm gonna go with the
green bean casserole for number three.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I knew you would. I knew you would. I'm going
with cornbread like sweet honey cornbread.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
Okay, all right, that's a good one. For my last one.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I'm gonna throw in another wrench there for you because
I know you love this one.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Deviled eggs.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Oh no, I was really hoping you weren't gonna steal
that from me. Okay, Oh geez, I don't even know
what to go with.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Now what do I do? Yikes? What is left?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
What's left? I don't even like cranberry sauce. I'm not
gonna pick it for the sake of picking. It's why
I already got. I'll see it here. I got what
did I say? I got the whole corn bread. We're
going with dinner rolls. We're gonna We're gonna have more starts,
more carbs on the table.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Why not.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
We'll see. We'll see what people.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Think dinner rolls.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
All right, we'll put up our mount rushmore of Thanksgiving
sides here at Sunny Wino six five l V and
let you be the judge. Sonny gets the news that
didn't make the front page.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
But will make you laugh. This is the Sunny Bunny, Sunny.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
One or six point five, it's Joanna adds Sean, and
we all need to laugh right about now.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Holidays can be.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Stressful, but you found the perfect story this morning, Sean,
that I think is gonna make people laugh and put
a smile.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
On their face.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I think most cities out there do like their own
version of a turkey trot, like a five K right, yes, well,
Tito's Vodka has launched their own version of the Thanksgiving
turkey trot. Is this is something you don't even have
to leave your house for. It's called the turkey You're rot.
So instead of getting out and you know, the fresh
air and you know, jogging a few miles, you get
to rot on the couch.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Okay, I deal scene this morning.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
So for twenty five dollars, you get everything you need
to embrace your inner lazy bones. Right. You get a
race bib for the couch, a special water bottle that
is filled with an adult cocktail. Okay, and my favorite part,
I think a zero point zero carsticker. I am the
kind of person that would absolutely put this on the
back windshield, right, Love, It's not all just you know, laziness,

(09:02):
right and sloth.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Some good comes out of this.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
All the proceeds from this go to meals on Wheels America. Oh,
so you get to be lazy and basically just feel
good about it at the same time.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Isn't that cool?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I mean, honestly, it's a genius the turkey rot, and
you're helping out an incredible cause by being lazy, embracing
your laziness, this is awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Look, not everyone is about that five K life on
Thanksgiving morning, right, Some of us want to sleep in
and watch football and eat and eat and eat, and
in this case maybe enjoy a Tito's water bottle as well.
So that's that is your sunny funny today. I like
to good one coming up seven forty your first chance
of the day to win some SeaWorld San Diego tickets.

family of four, yeah, I got my Brocky baby, I
got my Isabella.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Those were such prayed for children.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
That was a very long, six year journey to have
my family.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
So I'm just so grateful.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Some days I still look at Isabella and I'm like,
oh my god, she's here, like how is she six months?
And to be able to have my children and Thanksgiving
my completed family, I just feel so much gratitude and
so much thanks to God and of course to my
been in the support that we've gotten throughout the year.
So yeah, I'm just in my fields this Thanksgiving for
my beautiful little family.

My husband and I have gone through about four years
of fertility treatments. We've really struggled to get pregnant, and
a few weeks ago we went through IVF and transferred
an embryo and we're actually pregnant. And we're telling our
family at Thanksgiving. So we have we have the greatest

we're so excited. It's I just can't believe it. I
