Speaker 1 (00:19):
Hey, how you doing. It's a weekly mix of absolute chaos,
cocktails and way too honest conversations.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Pull up a chat and for something. It's about to
get fun.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Whoa oh yeah, So on today's pod, we're gonna be
talking about Wendy's Great Kitten Blizzard Rescue and.
Speaker 5 (00:39):
Astra has proof that these ride chairs like Uber don't
vet their drivers.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
And just in time for Women's History months, Danielle was
asked to be on a panel and she's gonna tell
you what it is and how you can join.

a lot to chat about, So grab a drink with

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Oh, where's my where's my?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
My big jug o? Come on?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I made him. Were recording in the middle of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Now it's like it's five o'clock somewhere, and I made
a mes cow mule guys, because I wanted to get.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Into the moon. So fancy you have those those mule cups.
I do, I do.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Want to remind everybody too to make sure that they
are following us on Instagram at tails over Cocktails.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
And we got to just get right into things.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
So Wendy talk about this great kitten blizzards.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
First off, I just want to say I hope everyone
is safe and keeping warm this storm. If you're in
the northeast, it was such a doozy, especially along the coast,
and when you're someone who lives by yourself, I don't
know how people do it. It's very challenging. It's a
lot of snow this time. You know, remember I was
walking around with a cane after the last storm. I
(01:52):
tried shoveling and it was difficult. So I learned from
that last one, and I, unfortunately I had to hire
people on non creeps this time around.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I did.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
I barely did any shoveling except for this one little
corner of one of those mountains.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
And I'll tell you why. It had to do with
a cat, didn't it. Of course it did.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
So you know, I was really worried about the outside
crew that lives.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
In my backyard.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
You know, I cannot just bring these wild animals. And
I now have an immunocompromised cat. I have my own
health issues as well, but I do my best by them.
I made them a little house that has the straw.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
It's under a.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Canopy so it's you know, it's able to keep mostly dry.
And that morning I went to go check on the
kiddies and I saw two of them, two of my regulars.
But I was like, where are the kittens? Where did
they go? Fill and Lill, I call them like from
rug Rats, couldn't find them, and I'm like, really worried. Right,
But I also noticed that Allie was freaking out that morning,
(02:50):
and I assumed it was because there was snow on
the ground and it was really weird looking. It was
like stuck to the windows. Did you guys see how
it was blowing sideways and it was wet, so it
was sticking to the whatever it would stick to. So
I'm like, buddy, what's going on? You know, he's had
some health complications lately. I was really worried, like, why
are you making those noises?
Speaker 2 (03:09):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
He kept going on to this one certain window and
I was facetiming with Astro before, and I showed her.
I'm like, look where he was, and look what he
was trying to tell me. Do you know what happened?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
What this cat saved the cats lives? He Olie is
a hero.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yep, he was trying to tell me. He must have
I don't know how long they were in there, but
he must have heard yelling. He must have heard a
commotion or just had his sense.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
He just said, mighty tingling senses went off.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah. So I don't know how to describe this. I
would assume it's like a basement, well, you know outside
of a house where the basement windows are and it
dips down. It's recessed, and a lot of people put
covers over them. They're like these little plastic covers to
protect against the elements.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Looks like a greenhouse sort of.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, like the cats on the regular, they love to
go in there because there's like a little tiny hole
like this big. But since cats barely hea any bones,
they just squeeze on in there and they sun themselves. Well,
the kittens are kind of stupid, and they went in
there during the storm. I get it they were trying
to keep warm, but then what happened was at some
point the snow with the wind, those sixty mile per
(04:15):
hour winds, it just avalanched on top of them. And
I'm talking on me waist high snow. So that little
tiny hole that was their their entrance and their exit
was not only covered, but like completely covered. And they
were in there. So they were in this little area
like this big. And when Allie was making a commotion,
(04:39):
I had an idea. I was like, could there be
cats in there? And I went into my basement and
I have to share this photo. Let me see if
I can pull it up because we are on video today.
It's a little bit hard to see because they're so
covered in there, but I look and it's dark.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Can you see this? Can you see that? Oh?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, there's like three there's like three cats jammed into
the They crammed into this tiny little space. And I
don't know how long they were in there, if they
could have run out of air or froze to death.
But anyway, I'm not in the best shape health wise.
But I grabbed a shovel and I was like, guys,
have coming, I've got back.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
She dug the kiddies out and I didn't.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
I wasn't like lifting the snow. I was just more
chipping away at that corner where I knew the where
they could get.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Out, and guys, I got the route. I got them out.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, thanks so you and Ali, You guys saved the kid.
I would never have thought anything was wrong. He alerted
me to this. Isn't he amazing this boy?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
So that's my my snowstorm story. We're all shoveled out now,
thanks to the very expensive team that I hired, who
were not perverts.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Thank goodness.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
They did a great job in New York City too,
because the roads are so clear that you wouldn't even
have thought that we got as much snow as we did.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Well, I will say that the streets out here, and
I don't know how it is in lynn Brook, the
residential streets are horrific, so bad. What town are you,
by the way, are you Babylon A Babylon? Yeah, I'm
in linrook I know. But what's the town like I'm in. Oh,
it's its own incorporated villain. Okay, So they have their
(06:20):
own system over there. I will tell you that every
time it's snowed here, it's taken hours and hours for
snowplowed to pass. I'm gonna try after this pod to
see if I can even pull my car to the driveway.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
That's how bad it is. At least you have a
cleaned car though. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
The tryways nice. Yeah, and the cats are free.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
That's all that matters. That's good.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Oh, good, Save the day. The kiddy's are good. Have
they been eating? Everything's good with them.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
They you know, yesterday they were very stressed, and today
they were happy for little snuggles and they seemed back
to normal. They're probably like, what the hell Mother Nature like,
we're ready for spring. Yeah, and Danielle, you would send
us something about the cherry blossoms. I'm like, yeah, more
of this energy please.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, you mentioned it on the radio.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I have one more thing. I just wanted to say
shout out to Henry p. D who actually checked in
on me. He texted me and was like, hey, just
want to see how you were doing. You know that
means a lot. I just want to put this out
there for people, especially people who are have some sort
of health concern or disabled who live alone. When people
(07:32):
check in on you, it really does mean everything. Sometimes
I'm a little disappointed in certain people, like some of
my people that I call friends that like, don't even
think like that I could be having a you know,
it's hard enough for me to get around in a
normal day, and when there's snow on the ground, it's slippery.
It's like, you know, things that most people don't have
(07:53):
to think about. So when people check in, it's amazing.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Thank you he checked on me too, Yeah, like.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
That is that nice?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I feel left out now he didn't check out me.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Does he have your number? Nobody? Nobody has your number.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
I know.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
I don't get my number up, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
I at some point I was like, yo, ditch the
Google number.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
I just gave him my action.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Oh I do have a Google number, though, I will say,
and that's the number that I give out to people
that I don't want to have my actual number, only
because you know, you just never know.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Even when I've.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Been on like a date, like I would just give
out the number because I'm like, until I meet this person.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I don't want them having my real number. Yeah, it's smart.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Actually, the new snow the new snowplow people I knew
better this time around too, And I was like, let
me just text from a Google number. Yeah, okay, all right,
we're gonna get to the next story in just a bit.
Let's take a quick break.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
And we're back. Very cool. Who's going next? Oh, I'll
go next. I'll go next.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Because you know, I don't know if you guys had
kept up with my Instagram, but I got to go
away right during Valentine's Day weekend because I decided, you
know what, I'm not catching feelings. I'm gonna catch flights
and stuff. So I flew down to Palm Beach, enjoyed
myself with my friends, had a great time. But I
will say while I was down there, my friend, you know,
obviously the best way to get around is Uber because
(09:11):
we don't have a car down there, and one of
my friends that I was with ordered an Uber And
this is actually something that's kind of concerning to me
because for some reason, I don't know why, but she
seems to get hit on by everybody. So the Uber
driver that she ended up getting was a good looking guy,
and she ends up texting me at the end. She
was like, oh my god, I got his number. He
(09:32):
was so good looking, he was so nice. We're going
to go out on a date. And I was like,
girl like you meet everybody. She'll make people in like
this supermarket.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Like she just she's okay with giving out her number
real numbers.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Not me, Yeah, she is, not me. She will give
out her number.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
On the other side, she needs an urgle number.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
She does. I need to teach her that. But here's
the crazy thing.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
So she was telling me that she was going, you know,
going back and forth with him, sending me like the
screenshots of their conversation seemed to be okay, he was
going through a divorce, you know, just the typical type
of guy whatever. And then she was saying, we're gonna
go out on a date, like the following day or whatever.
He's gonna take her to dinner. So I was like, oh,
this is pretty interesting.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
He told her that he was a personal trainer, so
I was like, okay, cause you know, I'm just like,
what else does he do besides being an uber driver?
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Now, mind you.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
He then decided to text her this certificate that had
his first and last name on it. It was like
a certificate for personal training.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
So of course here's detective Astra.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yeah, oh, no reporting for dirty Normally I would have
done the search, but she did it.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Before me.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
So she decided to go do a little search on
his name. Now, mind you, he had told her that
he was forty one. Okay, he said he was forty one,
but when he first met her, he had said that
he was like in his thirties.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
So he had basically kind of lied there.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
But then he was like, oh, I'm forty one years old,
this and that and anyway, she googled his first and
last name and the first thing that pops up was
a mugshot. And the mugshot is charging him for battery
and domestic violence, and his age was listed as fifty one.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Okay, it is not safe to be a woman. I'm
just saying that right there. So this is what I've
been talking about. This is what I've been talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Guy.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Right away, I'm just like, oh my gosh. She goes,
I could have gotten killed. I said absolutely. So of course,
you know, she blocked him and stuff. But when she
she did say something to him, she was like, I
find this. He tried to backpedal and be like, no,
I was set up. He's trying to, you know, get
out of the story. And then he was like, well,
he's like, you don't know what you just messed with
or something like almost like a very rap in a
(11:40):
weird way.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
And then and then sends this selfie of himself and
I'm just like, what a creep.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
So I said to her block him and be careful
because he might try to reach out to you from
a separate number aka Google number. Yeah, he ended up
finding her on WhatsApp and so she had to block
him on that too.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
What is what the WhatsApp?
Speaker 4 (11:57):
I mean?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
I use WhatsApp too.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Because whenever you know you travel side of the country
is the best way to talk. And a lot of
my friends that are outside the country like to talk
to me that way. But this is this makes me
realize that uber lyft and all of these ride shares
are not vetting these people.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah. True.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Why if you have someone who's front facing like that
and dealing with the.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Public, should make sure I don't have a rest trecker.
They're taking you home, they know where you live.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Well, you should never say if they were like, oh
am I taking you home? You always say no, I'm
going to my father's I'm going to my boyfriends. Oh no,
I'm visiting some friends. You never ever says house. Never
say that's like uber safety one on one. But the
fact is, not only was he charged with a crime,
this was a violent one, right right, domestic violence.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Crazy, And he's wanting to take her out of a date.
And here's the thing, she thought he was so hot
she was actually willing to, like potentially like hook up
with the guy. I said to a girl, we're going
to start a new rule. Not until after like three
or four times of going out do you even think
about even kissing this guy?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Okay, I think after three or four times of going out,
you don't even give them your real number, right, Like,
I'm sorry, but it's what's really scary is you know,
I saw this great article about how, you know, the
men that complain about women who don't want to split
the bill? Okay, what risk do men have when they
are going out on a date with a woman, right
(13:20):
that maybe it won't work out, maybe she won't go
home with you.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I mean, what risk do women take?
Speaker 4 (13:25):
Is like, we just try not to get murdered, right,
But that's always a blow to their ego and that's
what sets them off.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Okay, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Oh well, listen, we can get a blow to our
ego too.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Let's be honest.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
We don't like rejection, but a man is more used
to getting rejected than a woman.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I feel yeah, but I'm just saying that.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
I feel like the stakes are so much higher when
you are a woman who is going on a date
with a man period, and that is so scary. Think
about that the next time you get into a ride shair.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, so take away for everybody note to yourselves, do
not number one try to date anybody from these ride shares,
and number two, maybe be a little bit careful and
a green shot the people that are doing the ride shairs.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Because or if you can just send to your friend,
I think they actually allow you'll be the app Yeah,
say hey, I'm being picked up, just so someone can
track you and know where you are.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Yes, because you know, this actually takes me back to
another story. One of my other close friends feels like
that she almost got kind of almost like trafficked, Yeah,
trafficked out of an uber because she had gotten picked
up in Jersey. She was supposed to be heading to
a specific spot and the guy was going the opposite direction,
and she.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Said, you need to be going the other way.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
He goes, oh, well, I just have to drop something
off to the blast person who was in here. They
left something here. She goes, well, where is that? And
she's asking thousands of questions and the guy was like, well,
it's only five minutes, and she's like, we've been driving
for ten fifteen. Like she was like, you better pull over.
I don't want to be in this car anymore. And
he's like, no, no, no, I just have to go
here and was keeping her in like speeding that. She
(14:50):
was like, get me out of this damn car. She call.
She finally got out of the car and got dropped
off in the middle of Newark, which wasn't even safe,
and she was like really now, But she ended up
getting another cards to get home. But she's like, I'm
never doing rideshairs And she would have definitely did.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I would have complained to the head of Uber yeah
or whatever.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
No she did, and she's just like that that was
very like very scary and such an unsafe situation. And
you know, I think to myself, Wow, I don't know
what I would do in that type of a situation,
especially when you're on a parkway, Like you can't just
jump out the.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Car, no, And you know a lot of these cars
have the child safety locks, which makes me nervous. So
say you are pulled over at a light where it's
like safe where you could jump out of a car,
sometimes you can't. Right, there is a way to check
to see if those are engaged before you get into
the vehicle. I get it, Like all Jenny Costa sends
me all of these like women's safety self defense videos.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
But that's the thing. One of my friends did say
to me.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
She goes, are you taking any women's self defense courses
or do you carry any like things on you?
Speaker 1 (15:48):
And I was even your keys, learn how to hold
your keys in a certain way. I recommend those really
loud noise makers.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I have one of those.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
You did and then we pulled the pin and guess what,
I got a new one.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Oh cook, I have a new one A good guy. Yeah,
the birdy and it's pretty loud.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
But I think you pulled the pen And I was
like this because I have sensory issues and I was waiting.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
For to make off. It didn't even go off.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
I'm like, so, how would this help you.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
In an emergency? I was like, oops, it's old.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
I need a new one. And literally I got a
new one, like not even a month later.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Good to you a new one.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
But I would like to get a taser. I would
like to get a couple of different so be careful
with tasers. I'm not one hundred percent certain. Actually you
would know because you're friends with all the police. Ask
them if they're legal to carry. I do have one.
I have one that's like a flashlight.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Okay, so I don't.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Think anybody would say anything, but it like mostly lives
by my bed.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
When it's self defense, they can't say anything.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
I don't know. I don't know about that. I believe
that's how it looks.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
But I will ask my NYPD friend and we will
talk about that in the next episode.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Okay, good. And I do think having pepper spray is
something that I do have.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
That too, but I don't even carry it. But here's
the thing.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
A lot of the times the environment is not right
for pepper spray. If it's windy, you're gonna you're gonna
spray yourself.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
You got it.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
You've got to make sure you know what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
That's why a need to they can always help out. Yeah,
crime note, I guess we're gonna take a little break
and we'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
And we're back. I think this is a good episode.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
I do too.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
I My nervous system has been down in the dumps,
like I have not been able to regulate my nervous
system because I get so anxious with the storms. But
it's good to see my friends here. And I'm also
really happy and this is so uplifting that Danielle is
being chosen for something really special.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Yeah, tell us about this.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
Well, since I was nominated for the one hundred Women
of Impact for Karen Khine, Hofstra did a whole feature
and then the executive vice president of the Alumni Association
asked if I'd be interested in joining this woman's symposium
(17:53):
at Hofstra on March fifth.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
And she's like, you know, you work so hard, You're
always out and about doing something.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Would you want to be on the panel with a
bunch of other alumni talking about curb people pleasing, which
we all know I do way too much, and avoiding burnout,
which another I.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Can do either situation of yours.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
Yep. So it's it's so exciting to be able to
talk about my career and trying to avoid burnout and
people pleasing. I feel like the three of us tend
to do that a lot, and as a woman, we
tend to do it more than men.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Just being able to be on this panel.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
With other alumni, women alumni and just talking about the
things that I also worry about and share my experiences
through the last twenty seven years of this career as
an honor.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
So how are people able to attend this and watch
this line?
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Yes? Yes, On the Hofstra website, you just look up
Women's Women in Leadership Symposium and there's a link to
register there and you get it's a whole day, and
you get breakfast and launch and networking opportunities and it's
really feel good events.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
I'm so excited to be able to be a part
of it.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
You're on a roll. I know, first you want to
billboard in Time Square as women and leadership.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Of one hundred women of impact impact and now this,
I know, this is incredible.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
And also I don't remember, were you the one that
told me about the comments your students got to rate
you as a professor? Were you the one that I mean,
somebody shared it with me. I don't know if it
was one of your students, but they were saying such
nice things about you, about how you like as a mentor,
which I feel like for women and especially with it
(19:53):
being a Women's Story month, I think that's so important
to have your people and to have mentors in this
industry and you know, and beyond.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
And I didn't have many female mentors in this business.
They were all men.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
And the industry is very not is very male dominated, yes.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
And so I'm changing, it's changing, and that's you.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Know, Heather Cohen will be there and how we all know, uh,
and she'll be on a panel. And so for me,
she was the one woman that I looked up to
in college. I met her my freshman year and she
was always someone that I looked up to.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
But that was it. That was the only woman that.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
That was really close to me that I could say, Hey,
you know, can you help me with this, or can
you look at my resume?
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Listen to my audition tape.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
She's a girl, She's a girl's girl, which I love.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
She's the best. So no, I'm thrilled. I'm so excited
to be able to.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Help the students at Hofstra, the alumni of Hofstra, and
and anyone else that is out there that needs someone
to mentor them.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
So it's great all congratulations. Yeah, it's huge.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
And also do you remember And I think it was
more of like an early two thousands thing where they
would always try to make women compete against each other.
I think it still happens less now. I think we're
you know, like the jig is up and the sense.
But I remember when I first met you, Astra. I
don't know who put it in my head. They were like,
be careful of her. She's like she's out to get
(21:26):
you or something somebody said.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
I don't remember who it was.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
We started off in the same place out on Long Island.
I think we weren't even working for the same radio
stations all the time.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
But I started at party and you were at be Alive.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Yeah, And there were some event I think we were
both at and I was like, oh, wow, she's so nice.
And I kept thinking, and I'm like, but is she
gonna stab me in the back? Like everybody had put
it in my head that, and I'm like, wow, they
just don't want us women to be friends. No, clearly
it was the dudes that were talking about it, because
they you know what it is, They're upset because they
(21:57):
all try to hook up with you and they can't
so now they're gonna go talk the women to talk
to each other, right, or just or just the fact
that I think that as soon as a I hate
to be like man hating on this pod, but I
feel like sorry, but like I think, as soon as
a man feels a little insecure in a woman's footsteps,
(22:17):
like that's where that comes from, right? It actually makes
me think of a show i'm watching, which did you
guys want to get into what we're watching on TV?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yes, take a.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Break and we'll come back and talk about what we're binging.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
And we're back.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Okay, So let's let's start with Astra.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
What are you?
Speaker 1 (22:37):
What are you currently binging?
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (22:40):
I cannot get enough of the JFK Junior and Carolyn
Bissett on Hulu.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Everybody's been talking.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
I know everyone was talking to me about it, so
I decided to watch it.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
There's only four episodes that are up as of now.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
But what's so good about it is the acting or well,
it's actually showing me how to correctly date and play
hard to get because you guys know I do not date.
You know, I'm dumb when it comes to dating. So
watching these two and the way that their love story
is like unfolding, and the way that she's kind of
like playing coy because you know he's big and he's important,
(23:14):
and she's just like, well, you know where to find me,
you know where I work. You know I'm not giving
you my number. Like I'm just like, oh, I gotta
be a little bit more like with the men. Yeah,
I'm always so available and always like oh yes, I'd
love to go out.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Oh you're freeing in an hour?
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Sure? No no no no no no no no no
no no. Now you need to court me and you
need to chase me and find me. And I don't
know wherever I'm hiding. You need to find me out.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
You need a Golden Retriever.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
I do? You need to?
Speaker 1 (23:43):
You need more of that black Cat energy and a
golden Retriever boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
I do, I really do.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
It's like and all I keep doing is like scrolling
on Instagram and besides finding all the memes from from
the show, I also find all these like love related
memes and all these like relationship things and I'm kind
instantly always putting them up on my close friend's story.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Sorry for that, don't do well, because that's not black
cat energy.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Well, because you know why, I see it and I'm
just like, oh, I'm just like I start to get
in my feels and I'm like, oh, that's how I
want to be. That's how I want to feel. That's
what I want to do. Like I just want I
love love like that lover girl energy. So now just
watching this show, I'm just like, yes, I aspire to
be like Carolyn.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Okay, well, I I would like you to be on
Love is Blind and Danielle, can we hear like our
publicist of the group, I would love for you to
That is my wish is to make that happen.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Write it down. Maybe maybe Yel and I can both
do it. They could do it.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
I feel like I feel like astro, like You'll not
that Danielle is not going to be good TV, but
I feel like we need to get you on to
promote the morning show.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Okay, there's like a couple, there's like angles.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
I wanted to Danielle, you'll have this it up and
do another season because I think.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
We need to focus not ready for you.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
But here's the thing I'm that I am.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
I already retired from dating. I dipped my toe in
and I'm okay back, You'll go back in.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Just just for this one show, okay out of retirement, yes,
because I don't like reality TV. It's like it's so weird,
because I think most people do live for this sort
of thing. Maxwell was like, you have to watch this
season of Love is Blind.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
My friend is.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Going to be on it this season.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
And I was like, his friend is on it.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yeah, oh, his friend his personal friend text him, He'll
tell you all about it. So he then a couple
months later, he's like, did you watch Love Is Blind yet?
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I said no.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
He's like, well, the new season's out, my friend is
on there, and something happens on the show where she
has to face some bad behavior. Everyone's talking about it
right now. And you've probably seen all the memes about
the guy who, as soon as he feels intimidated by
the successful she's a doctor, an infectious disease doctor. He
sees her house. She's like the most love let person
(26:00):
in the world by the way he sees her house,
immediately gets intimidated and then starts.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Body and like a small apartment or something. Right, he literally.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Is I saw a meme saying that he was like
knock off Timu frod Ou.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Oh, but that is the typical man, the one that
gets intimidated because they want a strong, independent woman.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
But when they get killed.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, until they have it and they.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Can't hold up, you know the bargain.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
She was out of his league to begin with, and
she was like, you know, she fell in love, And
the whole point of the show is that you fall
in love based off of the person's personality. Is she's gorgeous.
And then as soon as he just feels belittled and
she in no way made him feel that way, he.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Made himself feel that way.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
He did he self sabotaged. And then not only that,
but I'm also seeing other characters that are not being
talked about too much on the show and examples of
their behavior and like what I consider to be red flags.
So if you are someone who likes to talk about
relationships and red flags and the way you should communicate,
I feel like the show is just a masterclass. And
I never thought I'd like reality TV, but love is blind.
(27:05):
Thank you Maxwell for the recommendation.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
You know, I tried to start getting into this new season.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
I had watched it seasons ago, and when I had
seen it, seasons ago, I was like, I actually kind
of would love to be on this show because I
am a person that I like. I always say, I
don't know if you saw my post the other day,
sapio sexual. I am somebody that likes to you know,
that gets turned on by intelligence and intellectual conversation, and like,
I would rather fall in love with somebody based upon
who they are looks, as you can see from the
(27:32):
guys I've dated, it ranges, so it's not like it's
all about the looks. It's about their personality and who
they are. So I would rather fall for someone for
their heart and their mind and not for the visual,
because the visual is going to change. We're all going
to get old and you know, things are going to.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Sag or whatever. But who you are is who you are.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
And I will say that there are two men on
the show that I will say have that golden retriever,
respectful energy in the wonderful and it's unfortunate the show
is not like focusing on them.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Oh would they be good for me? Is that what
you're trying to say?
Speaker 1 (28:05):
They have they have their people, but they're wonderful the
way that they treat them, the way that they lift
them up and I want to see more of them,
but unfortunately they love to focus on this protraw you
know how it is. I'm gonna get and then Astra
you'll be on season whatever, and then Danielle you'll be
on the following season.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I love how Wendy is pimping us out right now.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
And I will be like with my popcorn just.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Watching it all unfold. And you know what's gonna happen
If I end up going on that show and I
don't walk away getting married, I'm gonna be like, what
a waste of my time?
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Why?
Speaker 1 (28:38):
How is it any different than what you're doing right now?
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Because then I'll be in front of everybody on TV
and they put you up in like nice locations. I
could put myself up in a nice location and not
have to be on TV.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Well, what if they vet these guys, Like, what if
they vet some of these people to be decent people?
There's always a handful. You'll pick the right one. I think,
after all these lessons learn, you know what not to
I'm a damn scholar with all these lessons learned.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Okay, yeah, I have a pH d and uh in dadology.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
That's what we should reasychology relationshipology.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
I have a pH D, an M D, A C I.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
A, and an FBI all No kidding, Danielle, what are
you watching right now?
Speaker 3 (29:23):
I just finished tell Me Lies on Hulu?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Is that the one Kim Kardashian?
Speaker 3 (29:29):
No? It is it? So? Do you remember Peg Bundy
from Yes? So she's actually in it and her son.
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Is one of the leads Jets and White and Grace
van patten Uh. It follows this girl Lucy who goes
to college meets this guy Steven. They have a tumultuous, manipulative,
crazy relationship on and off for years, and he's got
(30:00):
all these other women. You have to watch it. It
It really mind fucked you. And it's like you hate
Steven so much and then you just root for this person,
that person you feel bad like, really.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Gets you there, twists and turns.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Twists and turns like you can't even imagine. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
I was.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
I finished season one, season two, season three, and one week,
not even one week, maybe like four days. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Interesting, obsessed.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Yeah, A lot of sex, a lot of nudity.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
A lot of stuff that we're not going through at
the moment.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Right, Maybe that's why I was liking it.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I know, I'm I'm coming out of the nunnery to
watch this.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Yeah, that's going out.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Watch Heated Rivalry too, have HBO.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
That's next on my list.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Oh, it's worth getting a promotion for just to watch it.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Just HBO login.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Come on, you know, people, it's so good. If you
want like hot, spicy, like in the best in all
the best ways, I a little.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Bit of hot spice in my life, gosh hot. Instead,
it's like Sahara, desert and cold.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Well, if you want to send if you want to
send us some love, of course, you can get us

Speaker 3 (31:22):

Speaker 2 (31:24):
And together we are tail overtails.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
We always try to say that together.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Because we're not in the physical room together, so we
can't get it together.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
But maybe one day we will though, but until until
next episode, guys, Yes, she cheers,
