We're still doing this.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, I forgot because Halloween.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
So here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
It's going to fall back Saturday night into Sunday morning
at two am Sunday morning.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
Does that mean we get an extra hour of sleep?
Speaker 6 (04:29):

Fall back spring forth?

Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
So here's some ways to avoid like being off your

before bed, and according to the sleep experts, do not

More at the Alabama Show dot com.
Speaker 6 (05:38):

Speaker 2 (05:41):
The Alabama Show on demands free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
I have the best Halloween gift for you today, Producer Blake. Okay,
by the way, thank you for listening to The Alabama Show.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Me and chat GPT spent some time together.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Oh my gosh, this is always a bed dudes, bears.
In this episode, me and chat.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
GPT wrote a Halloween story, all right, with me and
you as characters.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I spent all day the other day producing it, doing
all the fun things, and I would like to present
you with the story. Here's the first half of it,
all right, Yeah, first half This is called the Curse.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Well, actually, just you know what. Here's part one, The Curse.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Of the Pumpkin Patch Chickens. It was a cold October
morning on the farm, Fog rolled through the chicken coop
like smoke from a witch's cauldron. My roosters were quiet,
too quiet. Even Dolly, the hen who usually greets me
(06:49):
with attitude before coffee, was frozen, staring at something out
by the fence line. When I got closer, I saw
it a single pumpkin, perfectly round, perfectly orange, sitting exactly
where I have never planted one, and carved into the
side or three letters v L A. Producer Blake had
(07:17):
been bragging for weeks about his pumpkin patch Paradise, said
he'd grown the biggest gourds in Alabama. But something about
this one felt wrong. Then I heard it, a soft cluck.
The chickens started circling the pumpkin, eyes glowing orange in
(07:38):
the fog, and one by one they began to.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Peck at it.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
But when I turned away, just for a second, the
pumpkin wasn't there anymore.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
And that's when.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
I knew Producer Blake's pumpkin spice obsession had gone too far.
And now, after the break, we'll come back to more
of the pumpkin spice curse.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Well.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Part two it's on the way next.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
You were listening to the Alabama show dement I really
think I out did myself.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Yeah, I don't know how to feel about this.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
My Halloween story is amazing. So me and chat GPT
spent some time. I wrote a Halloween story, produced it.
Producer Blake and I are the characters. It's called the
Curse of the Pumpkin Patch Chickens. In case you missed it,
my chickens were clucking at something in the woodline of
pumpkin had b LA carved.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
In the side. Are you ready to find out what
happens next?
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Let's see what happens?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
By the time I made it to Blake's pumpkin patch,
the sky had turned blood orange. Rows of pumpkins stretched
across the field, every single one glowing faintly like candles
lit from the inside.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
And right in the.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Middle stood Producer Blake, holding his pumpkin spice latte like
a trophy.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
Well, the pumpkin head or maybe pumpkin.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Head behind him, I swear the pumpkins started chanting.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Pia, so p I sell, p I sell.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Their vines slithered through the dirt like snakes and one
wrapped around Producer Blake's leg.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
He didn't even notice.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
He was too busy bragging about his new pumpkin scented
beard oil. Then one of the pumpkins split open and
out rolled something small and fluffy.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
It was a chicken, but not just any chicken. This
one had pumpkin eyes.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Before I could move, the vine shot out and wrapped
around my boots. The chickens were closing in, glowing like
jack o' lanterns with feathers.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
You can never escape the pumpkin patch once you've had
the spice.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
The last thing I remember was Blake offering me a
sip of his latte and whispering pumpkin spice or pumpkin sacrifice.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
Anyway, it's pretty good, right story.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
I made a glorious story about pumpkins, spices, pumpkins and chickens.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Just me and chat GPT and I made it even better.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
How did you make it better?
Speaker 3 (10:42):
I have a gift?
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Okay, I brought one of my zombie chickens to work today.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
A zombie chicken.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
A zombie chicken?
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Is this like an actual chicken? It looks like are.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
You kidding me?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
What it smells like?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Are anyway? I made Mortitia, She's my zombie chicken.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
Why would you do this, Susan? Was this all just
a big bits You can bring chicken to work? What
did you spent so much time just to bring your
chicken to work?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
It's what the hell headlines?
Speaker 3 (11:22):
What the hell are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
On the Alabama Show?
Speaker 3 (11:26):
You can now get booger bytes candy.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Excuse me?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Just in time for Halloween.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Somebody literally just made candy called booger Bytes. It's gummy
candies inspired by actual boogers.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Is it salty?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
It is a bit sweet, a bit salty impact with
vitamin C. It comes in three shapes and colors, and
they even consulted real life boger readers to nail the flavor.
And you can get them at three ninety nine a bucks.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
These boog eat adults have gotten too far.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Well.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Three things you need to know you with the Elema Shops.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Spookfest is tonight at the Hoover Mint. It's free, it's
family friendly Halloween. There's all kinds of stuff like candy, costumes, inflatables,
music and prizes. It starts tonight. Trigger treating is at
four point thirty to seven. Then they're gonna have a
showing of beetlejuice starting at seven. So if you want
to go have some.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Family friendly fun for Halloween tonight, go to the hoover.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
Mit.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Here's the new trend that's good for your health, Producer Blake. Okay,
dark showers.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
What does that mean just at night?
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Or what you do is you turn the lights off
or dim them really low while you take a shower.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
And what it.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Does is it signals your body to unwind. Dark showering
reduces stress and proof sleep and resets your mood.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
Basically, just take a shower in the dark.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
I don't know if I can. I'd be scared of
what I wash.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Could you imagine having to shave your legs in the dark.
Speaker 8 (12:52):
I'll be honeso.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
I can't imagine doing that. In a lot, I have fun.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Here's how to keep your pets safe for Halloween.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Remember chocolate is toxic to dogs, and do not give
it to them and keep it out of reach where
they can't get it. Trigger treating can be fun for
the family, but the doorbell ringing all day is going
to freak your dog out, so go find a quiet,
calm place for him. Don't let them just rearrange the
house and listen to the doorbell also, and I would
be the one that would do this.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
The experts say, even.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Though you want to take your dog trigger treating, don't
because the costumes and the mask are threatening to your
dogs and it can make them get protective of you
and aggressive towards the people in the costumes, like it'll
try to go after My dog hates Halloween costumes.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
I was chasing them around the house with one another day.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
You're just a monster, So I don't do those things.
That's three things you need to know. More at the
Alabama Show dot com.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
The Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Andrew Buddy, what's your good knees?
Speaker 5 (13:51):
My boss is off today? Okay, he is becoming your
grandfather thee.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
What you gonna do while the bosses out? Are you
taking over.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
A whole lot of death?
Speaker 3 (14:10):
You're gonna be sitting around, you know what? When the
boss is out of town. That is always good news,
and I love that.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Why don't I give you a fifty dollars gift card
to Rock and Roll Sushi and you just go play
hooky and take a two hour long lunch and go
enjoy some food.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
Sounds great, sounds like a date night for me in
the line. That's what's awesome. I'm greatly appreciate it.

with something. It's really interesting.

We're doing this for Halloween all week. Call the show.
Bama is the number.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Jasonaling, Good morning, what's your ghost story?
Speaker 7 (15:04):
Our house had a dining room and a living room
in a huge kitchen, and I would hang out in
the dining room me the den in the evenings, and
the kitchen was right beside it. Well, I would be
in there on the computer, and we had this little
dog that would go and stand between the kitchen and
the den and just growl, and he would bark all
(15:26):
the time, and we couldn't figure out what he.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Was barking at. Oh know, Well, one night I was
in there on the.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
Computer and I went to get me something to drink
out of the kitchen. Well, it had this huge island
in the middle of the kitchen and the refrigerator was
on the far end. So I went and got a drink,
and I brought my drink to the end that was
closest to the den and sat it on that end
of the island. I went back and got on the
(15:51):
computer and I was doing nothing and I hear this
glass slide across the island. In the starts feeing crazy.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Did you see it moved?
Speaker 7 (16:03):
And I was like, I didn't because at the moment,
I didn't know what it was. I just heard it,
and I was like, surely that's not what I thought
it was. And the dog just kept going crazy. So
I goed up and went and looked, and the doug
glass had moved to the complete opposite end of the island.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Nope, that's what when I'm going to run out of
the house.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
Almost did YEA?
Speaker 3 (16:24):

call the show Casinia, Good Morning, do you have a
real life ghost story. I do.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Oh, let's hear it.
Speaker 8 (16:46):
So the house that I lived in is really really old,
and me and my youngest were at home and I
was doing laundry and I'll call lawn peer and I
started calling her name and for me.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Wait a minute, Wait a minute, you saw blonde hair
wear like floated like a person's blonde hair like.
Speaker 8 (17:06):
I saw blonde hair like somebody walked behind me.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Okay, okay, and my daughter has blonde hair, okay.
Speaker 8 (17:13):
So I started calling for her and she like would
not answer me. So I thought she was messing with me.
So I went to her bedroom and she was laying
on her bed. Oh no, And I was like, were
you trying to scare me? And she was like, no,
I've been in my room the whole time. So I
texted my best friend, who was right next to me,
and I was like, dude, I literally saw somebody walking
(17:35):
behind me. And Lucy has been in her room the
entire time. Well, years and years ago, her dad's best
friend that ran over on his bike and he was
a blonde.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Hair little boy. Oh my god.
Speaker 8 (17:50):
And that is not the only time we've had that experience.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
I oh know, just do you still just see the
blonde hair? Does he do anything else? I have not.
Speaker 8 (17:59):
The other time that happened was my daughter was asleep
on my bed and my oldest was in her bedroom,
and I had made dinners and I had told Maddie
to come eat and let Lucy sleep. Welll she woke
up saying that Maddie wasn't there messing with her foot
and that she needed to leave her alone. No, Maddie
(18:21):
was on the opposite side of the house.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Nope, yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Do you live in this house?
Speaker 4 (18:26):
You need to move?
Speaker 8 (18:28):
I do, But like it's never been anything bad.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
I mean, okay, then just keep it rolling.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Yeah, just give him a Christmas present on Christmas and
keep him happy.
