I say all that because today's Awesome Sauce is kind
of like a love letter to radio, okay, and a
reminder that the right people still believe in local radio.
Dave Chappelle, he just helped save a local radio station
in his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio. Love that. I

love that he still lives in Ohio. I love that
he is still so passionate about the community that he
grew up in. The station is WISO, and it was
at risk of having to move out of town, but instead,
famous celebrity and comedian Dave Chappelle stepped in and bought
a his historic eighteen hundred's schoolhouse and turned it into

their new station, fully restored, updated, built for the future.
I bet they have cameras, Dave. If you got money
to hand out, We're not too far away, oh I'm
just saying it's not like right, you're right. Yeah. Moving forward. Now,
the station broadcasts from the lower floors and up top
that is where Dave Chappelle has his office. Here's the

part that I love the most. He did not buy
it to control anything. Station leadership says he has zero
influence on programming. Oh wow, he just did this like
out of the goodness of his own heart, because because
what a thought. He wanted to keep local radio local.
I love that so much. Right, Dave, again, we're at

seventy seven of Moroe, Centertown, Grand Rapids. He wanted to
keep the station in the community and give it a
place to grow instead of disappear. The future of media
isn't just digital. It's still cracking the mic in a
building that almost disappeared. Love it, I love it. That
is how you start your day on a positive note.
