B-93 Morning Show: Stanley From "The Office" Talks About a Reboot and Possible Movie

Mike went to Motor City Comic-con and chatted with Leslie David Baker aka "Stanley" from The Office about a possible reboot and maybe a movie!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm sure everybody asked you about a reboot of the Office.
It's it's coming, right, that's an NBC question.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
You know what they're doing, and the upper echelons of entertainment,
they keep changing the players and the exeit so oh God,
if your guess is as good as mine, I don't
know what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
If they asked you in theory theoretically, if they said, hey,
you want to make another one, I don't know if
all the same players are going to be there, would
you be interested in doing it or no, I would
be open to negotiate.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Hey, you know if the price is right.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Did you know when you got into the show, when
you when you took the audition and when you got
the role, did you know it.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Was going to be as iconic as it is today.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Had no idea because you know, I couldn't see it
into the future.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Hope it would stay on the air.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Didn't anticipate that something like COVID would come into being
and people would be trapped in their houses and you know,
need something to take their mind off.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Of what was going on from the rest of the world.
And that is when we became really an iconic show,
because at one point, I think the show aired eighty
five times, and one day I counted. I was obviously
sitting at home like everybody everybody else, and I said,
let me count this, and I counted, and when I
got to eighty five, I went, oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
You know, so, you know, we helped a lot of people.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
That is.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
It was one of those shows. It's always still one
of those shows, and I always will just have on.
It's like a comfort show, it is, and I know
so many episodes.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
I'm a big fan of the show.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I hope the reboot does happen, but I hope they
don't do it in a way where they change what
already has happened.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Where they make me twenty five years old and one
hundred and fifty miles.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah, that would be interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Or maybe an office movie someday, a movie would be nice.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I'm like movies. So we'll see what happens. You never
know what the future holes.
