Here are three things you should know today if you
live along the Muskegan River in Nuego County. There is
now a mandatory evacuation in place from Croton to Bridgeton.
Official state water levels are rising fast and emergency crews
may not be able to reach people who stay behind,
so they are urging residents to grab essentials and leave now.

The Croton Dam is stable, but areas near the White
River and Hisperia Dam are being closely monitored as we've
got more rain moving in overnight, tonight and throughout the weekends.
Big update from Kalamazoo Promise. This is huge. Students using
the scholarship at community colleges can now get up to
one hundred percent of their in state tuition and required

fees covered, and include schools like Grand Rapids Community College,
Muskegan Community College, along with more than thirty others across
the state of Michigan. It doesn't change four year awards,
but it is a major expansion aimed at making college
way more accessible.

a sinkhole on South Parsons Avenue West near West North
River Drive. Dispatcher from Diego County said the sinkhole is

first reported at four am Thursday, but likely open before then.
The scary part is this isn't a parked car on
the side of the road. It looks like somebody was
driving down the road, down a dirt road and it
just started to collapse.

Who recovered the vehicle and they're the way Harry, Yeah,
they're the ones who got the car out of there.
How they do it is wild. The road is completely
blocked off right now. But it looks like something out

giant meteor or an asteroid hit it. And but I
didn't know driver's training. I remember driver's training. I remember

my first year of driving. Not one person I lived,
you know, in Belding where there's dirt roads everywhere, that
one person said, Hey, at some point the water you
do with the sinkhole?

Yeah, this is what you do. What do you do
if your car starts sinking? What do you do? I
don't even know.

I don't know how you get out of one once
you're in one, because the road around you is collapsing
and it's filling with water.
