two hundred thousand Michiganders just had their medical debt wiped
out thanks to a new partnership between the state and
a nonprofit called Undue Medical Debt. It's part of a
broader plan to help people who have been hit with
these huge bills after an illness or accident. In West
(00:20):
Michigan alone, thousands of residents Kent County, Calhoun County, Saint
Joseph County millions of dollars of debt erased, and if
you are one of them, you're going to be getting
a letter in the mail very soon. West Nile virus
has officially shown up in Kent County, the first confirmed
cases in the US this year. Kent County Health Department
(00:41):
found three infected mosquito samples, Grand Rapids, Walker, and Plainfield.
Most people won't show symptoms, but the county is reminding
everyone wear that bug spray cover up at dusk and
make sure you dump any standing water to keep mosquitos.

the Belting and Grat and fire departments as a thank
you for all their life saving efforts.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Love that so much.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Very cool. That's three things you should know. Here is
one you probably shouldn't. Ah, not the way you hope
that the news breaks.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Huh No, this is awful.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I feel bad for the spouses of these people, but
for the people busted at the Coldplay concert. The CEO
of a of an astronomer I think the company is called,
and the hr chief of astronomer busted at a Coldplay concert.
If you missed that scroll on the internet for three minutes,
I promise you you'll run into it. Basically, what happened
(01:57):
is these two people went to a Coldplay concert together. Yes,
Coldplay does a segment I guess where they just literally
pan to people in the crowd like a kiss cam.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, at a basketball game or something, and he and
Chris Martin starts talking to everybody.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
We'll stop the whole show and start talking to everybody
comes to these two who lovingly have their arms wrapped
around each other, are swaying back and forth, and they
bolt as soon as they realize they're on the camera.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
She just covers her face, immediately drops to her knees,
like I don't want to be on camera.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
He ducks under and just disappears, And Chris Martin goes,
either they're having an affair or they were very they're
just very shy. Turns out they are in fact having
an affair.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Option one.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, yeah, he is a He is a huge CEO,
a billionaire, and she is the HR for that company.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
There is so much going on here.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
People have dived into their their dove into their LinkedIn
and found like quotes that she says about him.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
His wife has changed her last name on Facebook already.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Good for her.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Absolutely side side question, Now I'm not justifying doing this,
but I'm just asking, if you're a billionaire, what do
you put a hat on?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
What do you like if you're gonna go to a concert?
What did you put some sunglasses?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I imagine a billionaire could cover up a little bit
if you wanted to.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
What are the chances, though, you figure? Because they were
in a suite.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
And I just I don't condone this. I want to
say that I don't think this was a good thing.
Oh no, But like, what are the chances that out
of the ten thousand people at this show, in this arena,
maybe more, Chris Martin and his team are gonna find
you two?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Right? The cameraman was doing the lord's work really truly.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
See that's why I feel like the universe. I'm gonna
let the universe handle it, yeah, because if I handle it,
I'm going to jail.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
And if you go dive deep into that whole city,
that whole like scene, there's the people around them that
are cheering because they just think they're on camera.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
There's one girl to the left whose.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Face is beat red and you can tell from a
kiss cam, so it must be red red.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
And she's laughing like, no, that's.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
One of their personal assistants or something.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
It's gotta be somebody, gotta be.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
People were talking online like I know what they did
was wrong, and why are we like making this such
a thing. Why are we focusing on this? Like we
need to think about like their families who were involved
in this, and like they should still have privacy and stuff.
And I get it, like, let's not put the families
who are already probably going through something terrible in life, Like,
(04:40):
let's not put them through any But I feel like
the CEO and the head of HR, Lady, you weren't
thinking about your families when you started fooling around with
each other.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
No, and she's only been at the company nine months.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Oh oh oh yeah, Oh so many questions. Yeah, did
she get the job because they were already involved or
I don't know she did they become involved after she
got there.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
She praises him a lot in the in her LinkedIn stuff,
but maybe that's just part of the like she had
been doing that before, like she had been in HR
in other places.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
So from a pr standpoint, and historically we've seen situations
like this go one of two ways. Usually when there's
like a big kind of time affair like this, Either
you gotta come out and do the Dave Grol thing
where I'm so sorry to my wife. I'm completely focused
on rebuilding the relationship and forgot about that. We're gonna
go to therapy. Yeah, don't forget about Dave, girl.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Oh my god, I forgot about don't.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
You forget about him? Lead singer of the Food Finders.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, no, I remember now, or you do the thing.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
And I don't have an example for this where now
the person that you're having the affair with you have
to marry and you have to be like, we didn't
plan on falling in love. I don't the heart wants
what the heart wants.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I don't know how this works.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
As the CEO of I guess people probably are above him,
but I think they're both gone, Like I think they're
both gone, and they disappear and then in a week.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Usually a board of directors, okay, and usually the board.
Sometimes the CEO can be part of the board. I think.
I don't know. Usually I would text Jimmy in this
scenario and be like, what's going on here? But I
don't have to see.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, you can't. It's HR.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
It's the one person like who's supposed to protect against this.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I mean, I don't see how she keeps her job
as the head of HR.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
He can't either, though he can't either.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
There's no way I agree with you. I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Wow, So.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Be NY three.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Sports find yourself on a kiss cam a Tiger's game, No,
I'm just kidding. Tiger's played Texas seven forty today. You
can hear that where you won't hear any cambs. You
can't get busted if you listen to the radio. Tigers
played Texas at seven forty today. You can hear that
on our sisters station, Wood Radio. They also play Texas
