Speaker 1 (01:19):
I told you right before you come on that I
love your energy and this is already gonna be fun.
When you get into talking to people like this and
they have the energy that you have, this stuff honestly
flows so much better a lot of times, believe it
or not, I am nervous when I.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Got to talk to superstars like you. No, I think
you're gonna make it a little bit easy.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, Yeah, this is gonna be fun. This is just
another day having fun.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Well, let's go ahead and get started off.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I mean, twenty twenty six, we've passed the thresholder we
could say Happy New Years, but since this was my
first time meeting you, happy New Year's and year, thank
you so much. How was your holidays lash and transitioning
into the New year?

Speaker 3 (01:55):
It was amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I mean I had a great, great Christmas, I had
a great New Year's. I'm just excited for what this
year is to bring for me and my family. So
I'm just excited. I'm excited with my careerie ahead. Yeah,
it's gonna be a really good year. I could feel it.
I got a lot of positivity in me, so let's
do it. I'm ready for a great, great, exciting, explosive year.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I feel the positivity just illuminating from your scream right
now as we talk about holidays. Also, you had a
wonderful Thanksgiving. You just announced that you are engaged with
Now call up, Trick Williams. What's that been like the
rush of being newly engaged? I just got married myself
this last year, just a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
That's amazing. Love is in the Oh my gosh, everyone's
like you.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I guess next month is you know we got Valentine's
Day coming up next Month's right?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
It's just like a beautiful feeling. But yes, it was
just such an amazing time. I'm so grateful. Trick Williams
is what y'all know him as, he is my fiance, say,
and we're just like overwhelmed with so much joy, so
much happening, so many blessings, like all these opportunities, just
everything is like coming at once, and we're just like,
oh my goodness, and we can't stop smiling ear to ear,

(03:13):
like we're just really having a good time and we're
both so grateful that we're on SmackDown together now. So
it just makes it, you know, easier. We get to
travel the world together and do what we love. You know,
we have an amazing career, so yeah, it's just an
exciting time for us. So we're grateful and we're just
ready to keep turning up.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Yeah, I would say, man, young love is sweet.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
And the engagement life, we only did engagement for a year.
We had I proposed tour at the end of twenty
twenty four. I did it right around Christmas time because
that's when we met. We swiped right off each other
on hands and we met right around Christmas time. So
that's always been our thing, and we had sort of
like a Christmas wedding. But we we missed the engagement part, dude,

(03:56):
because everybody was always buying us food and drinks, and we.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Were like this attention.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Now that we got married, it's like life is completely
it's everyone done forgot about us.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
So that's who's next.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I guess the next one is having a baby now,
so once we get that, then everybody's gonna be buying
us food and drinks.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, they'll come back.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
But uh yeah, it's it's definitely awesome. I mean, you
guys live such a busy life. How's some of the
wedding planning been going or have you not completely dived
into that just yet?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Oh I've been full throttle. Yeah, I'm excited. I haven't
announced the date yet, but I'm excited. We're gonna get
this thing going. Everybody's so supportive in my family and
his family, so everybody's all on board.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
So but I am excited. I have been wedding planning,
so oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Wait, Well, there's one thing that I can tell you.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Well, my my wonderful wife, she's the one that absolutely
did everything I was in charge of, hiring a DJ
and working in radio. I know like six hundred of them,
so that was the only thing. But I would just say,
if you ever feel over elmed, or if you ever
feel like, gosh, I want this to be over with,
just be where your feet are, kind of take it
in stride and just because this is all gonna be

(05:07):
for one day, but it's gonna be one of the
most magical days of your life. Oh.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I love that. That's great advice. I'm gonna receive that
and take that in. So thank you for that.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Let's go ahead and switch gears a little bit. We
could talk about a trick later on.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
But you just recently debuted on SmackDown and you're now
with Nya Jack. She's sort of just taking you under
her wing a little bit. What's what's that transition been
like from coming from NXT now you're on the main
roster stage and then you have somebody that's been there
and done it all with Nia Jacks. What's it been
like working with her under SmackDown?

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Well, Naya, she's just amazing. Like I call her my
fairy godsister, but I love her.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
She's amazing.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Like yesterday, we just were on her farm yesterday and
you know, we were just enjoying ourselves and got to meet
all her cattle and all her wonderful chickens, goes all
of that, so it was it's just really cool, Like
she really is just an amazing person, and I'm so
grateful that this opportunity was presented this way and that
we get to work together because she's literally like I

(06:12):
think people know she's great, but she's I think she's
still like so underrated of how good she is and
how knowledgeable she is and how much wisdom she has
in this game. So I'm just grateful to be right
there on her side. I'd be like, what you mean, No, Okay,
let's do a girl like and just like our chemistry
is just like perfect, Like I'm just so grateful, so
so grateful.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
But we're having a good time.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
We get to bully everybody who doesn't love that.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
We just like.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
We're the two biggest girls in the entire WWE, I believe.
So yeah, we get to just have it our way.
We get to do what we want and whenever we want.
So that's that's fun.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I think it's fun that you mentioned chemistry because I
mean that's easy for a viewer to see on the screen, right, Like,
sometimes you can get on the main roster, they'll pair
people up and you'll just kind of be like, that's
that's sort of confusing. But you guys are very outgoing,
also very stylist. You've been known for some of your
exuberant outfits, and I mean when you're on TV, you
have to look like.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
A star, right, Yeah, you have to exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
And then also it's you get thrusted into a scene
where you're kind of just bullying Alexa Bliss who just returned,
Charlotte Flayer that kind of just returned and came back in.
Those are two legends that we're talking about, and you've, guys,
got to flex your muscles a little bit. So not
only are you just making an impact, you're doing it

(07:31):
against two future legends. What's that been like to kind of,
like you say, bully the two of those caliber.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, Like it's been like the fact that I just
get to come in and literally the top stars. I'm
coming in and making a good name for myself and
I'm like.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Hello, hey, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
If you didn't know, I'm last legend of one and
only I'm ready to beat you up because I'm the
bougie bully. So I just think that given these opportunities
has just been like something that I couldn't imagine so quickly.
But I'm taking it and I'm going with it, and
I love it and I'm grateful for these like abrupt opportunities,
Like these girls have had amazing careers and they're still

(08:12):
doing amazing work, and just to be able to, you know,
stand across them in the ring, it's just like, Okay, yeah,
you feel me. I feel you, Let's do it. So
it's just been amazing. In our War Games match that
we had back in San Diego two days after Thanksgiving,
great stuff, that was.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Just like wow.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
When I got in the ring, I'm like, oh MG,
Like look at the ladies that I'm in the ring
with right now, Like literally the top girls in the
women's division right now. I'm like, okay, and I belong
here and I fit and it felt so fitting for
me and it felt right. So I'm just having a
good time and I just want to keep having these
opportunities with these top dogs because I'm ready. I'm ready

(08:55):
to show them exactly what I'm about.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
That's right, And honestly, I think you've been doing a
great job at that. You have such an online presence
where it seems like the IWC, the Internet wrestling community
can be very toxic, but they seem to love you.
They they seem to love because they followed you so
long on NXT and then now you're making a statement
on the WWE roster. You started out last year actually

(09:18):
at the Women's Royal Rumble. That's where you kind of
made your first It's kind of where you made your
first real impact and some people finally got to see
you in real life, and I got to watch it
from very up at the top of the press box
and I was there covering it and I could just
tell by looking at you you pass the airport test, right.
You said that you and Naya Jacks are the biggest

(09:39):
on the roster, and you could definitely look at you
out in public and go, She's definitely important. And I'm
probably sure that that causes for a lot of like
autographs and people bothering you. Do you do you usually
get that a lot yet or are you still kind
of low keying?

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Yeah, I mean it comes with it.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
I mean I think WWE fans are just like there,
they're hardcore fans regardless whether it's the main roster or NXC,
because I feel like NXT gets a lot of love too.
May be right there at the airport, was waiting for us.
That's off the plane, so you know. But obviously, yes,
it's on the higher level now being on the SmackDown roster.
But yeah, we're used to it. We're superstars. We know

(10:17):
what comes with it, so we just you know, do
our job.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
We're talking with lash Legend, Bougie Bully, she's one of
the newest women's joining joining us on the Smackdowns roster.
Ww SmackDown is going to be here in Louisville at
the KFC Young Center.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
That's where I live. Have you ever been up to Louisville?
You ever been to Kentucky before?

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah, I mean back in my hoop and days.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, I played an away game at the University of Kentucky,
and then.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I think I also played at Louisville. I knew.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I went on a visit there as well. So yeah,
I've been there a couple of times. And we come
back there soon, I believe. So that'll be fun.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
That's right now, we're it's always a good time. Everybody
loves it's This is such a huge city for wrestling.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Ohio.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Valley Wrestling started out here. When you have guys like
brock lesnar Andy Gorton, John and Sena, they all started
out right here in backyard and it's the home of
the greatest. Muhammad Ali was born here and this whole
this whole city is just all about combative sports. So
we love the opportunity where you guys get to come
down here and showcase all your abilities. One thing that

(11:24):
I wanted to ask you is as we're promoting for
the show, what can fans expect when they walk into
the KFC Young Center and maybe it's their first time
seeing a.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
WWE live show.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
What does lash Legend say that you can expect when
you go to a WWE show.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Well, I think right now WWE is definitely popping, Like
it just feels different. You know, every era has its
own feeling, but I feel like right now it's doing
really really good and it's a lot of talented, talented wrestlers.
Right now, it's a lot of entertainers. Like I just
feel like all the different characters that are going to

(11:59):
be on the show, it's just something to want to
be a part of and be in those seats and
watching all of us do our things. So I think
it'll be a great show for a lot of people
to come and see. I think if you're new to wrestling,
I think if you used to wrestling, you're gonna have
a good time regardless.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
I'm talking to lash Legend here on the baby Faces Podcast,
the official for wrestling podcast of iHeartRadio Louisville. I'm your host,
Austin Montgomery. Just a couple more questions, we'll get your
wrapped up here last week. Certainly appreciate you taking time
out of your busy schedule to come talk to us
kind of. Let's if you don't mind me talking about
something depressing you guys did have your eyes set on

(12:39):
the Women's World Tag Champions. You guys came so close
when you're fighting the Kabuki Warriors. Now the titles is
on Rio, you're on Rhea, Ripley and EO Sky.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
Do you now have them in your crosshairs? Are you
done chasing the tag?

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
First of all, we ain't even done. We haven't even
reached the.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Peak of what we're capable of.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Okay, like we are just getting started and I and
are are ready to snatch those titles Appa whoever has it, Yes,
Kabooki did have it, now Rio has it, but we're
will be glad, glad to take it off their hands
and show them exactly what dominance looks like on the
Wizard Women's Tag Team division. So yeah, we're absolutely ready.
Don't matter who got the titles, we're gonna come after

(13:21):
it and get them take it right out of their hands.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Okay, I can't wait to see that visual because we
already talked about you were with Alexa Blish and Charlotte Flair,
two very heralded women's wrestlers. And then now if the
time comes, you guys are gonna be face to face
with Rio and and Eo Scott, Riha and Neo Sky
H I mean just seeing the four of you in
the ring. That's got marquee ability all over it. And

(13:45):
H I mean Riha as a friend of the show.
We might be a little bit split of who we're
rooting for, but either way, the baby faces.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Well, Mada, I'm gonna tell you, don't even mad. You
can roof with who you want to roof with. I'm
gonna tell you what's gonna be the end result. Okay,
me and Maya our hand raised, Boom, there it is.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
And I absolutely believe that you don't have to convince
me more. They're gonna Ria and Eo are gonna have
a lot of uphill battling whenever you get in that
squared circle. Uh with you two, Let's move on to
a little bit of something else. We were actually talking
about Trick Williams earlier, and once again, congratulations on your engagement.
I can only imagine being a hubby myself, and we

(14:26):
are already I like, me and my wife aren't athletes,
so but there is some competitive There is some competitive
edges everywhere. Now I can only imagine what it's like
with you and Trick. And one thing I got to
ask that I'm always very intrigued to know because we
have had a montes Ford on here, and you've talked
about Bionce bell Aired, we've had Alistair Black and Zelina

(14:48):
and we kind of talked about the competitiveness at home.

Speaker 5 (14:50):
Is there anything like that between you guys?

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Is there anything that like you'd like kick ass at
that he's kind of like jealous that you could do,
or like vice versa.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
I feel like, honestly, I think we're just so supportive
with one another.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
I think.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
We just motivate each other to want to just be
the best that we can be.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Uh. I'm trying to think of anything specifically.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
I can't because I just feel like whenever whatever opportunities
we're intergrated with who were like rooting for each other,
we're just each other's biggest cheerleaders. So I think that's
so cool and just so amazing that we just get
to be like, come on, you.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Gotta come on.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
But when we watch film back and if it's something
that one of us didn't do, you know, to our
liking or to our best ability, oh, we gonna.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Let each other know. We now what was that? Now?
You know you could have did better, and he's gonna
do the same for me.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
So yeah, we definitely motivate each other and we both
keep it real with each other too.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
So we're holding each other accountable because I used to
play football too, and I would think that man I
had I just had a killer play. But once you
get in front of that film and you see your
mess up.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
And you're like, oh no, coach, don't say anything.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
The camera, don't lie.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
So yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Now when it comes to who's the calmer one of
you two, both of you are very exuberant you uh
uh spew out personality whenever you guys get into any situations.
Is he like more of the calm, reserved one or
does he freak out? Or is that is that more
like you?

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I think he is. Okay, we are just so extroverted. Honestly,
we're both so extroverted. But in our day to day life,
we're still extroverted. We're still extroverted. But like, if I
had to choose, who would be more of like the
pois saying one, definitely him.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
He keeps me, you know, like it's okay.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
So I love that, So yeah, I was, I would
have to say him, He's He's He's the more like poison, all.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Right, you know, I love the support.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Now, boy, one thing that you do have over him
is you've been on the main roster. You had the
World Rumble last year, the last couple of months. He
just officially signed a SmackDown just a couple of weeks ago.
If you could give him any advice or what kind
of advice have you given him since now transitioning to
UH to the WWE. Is it something with handling, like
the bigger crowds, the more crazy pyro What's one couple

(17:13):
of things that you've been able to tell him about
what to expect.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Well, Honestly, I feel like with both our backgrounds, we
come from being in the stadiums, being in arena, so
I feel like that's part of who we are. We're
used to that. It's just on a different you know,
in a different profession. So I feel like he's a
natural in any room that he walks in, any arena
in any stadium. That's just who he is and what

(17:39):
he's born to do.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
I believe.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
The only advice I really tell him, besides you know,
watching film and stuff like that, I just tell him,
be true to who he is. Like everything that he
has prepared for to be on the main roster, it
is all like comeing too flourishan like everything that he
has been training for for five years, but six years.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Actually he.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Is properly prepared and he is equipped. And I just
tell him, hey, be you be exactly who you're supposed
to be, and he does it. So yeah, it's not
much advice I to say that I pretend can actually
give him. Actually, like we just try to motivate each
other and be like be you like we are enough
period in any room in any stadium we walk in.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
So yeah, yeah, no, you both seem like you get it.
And I'm pretty sure that there's gonna be people that
try to teach you the ropes and that's gonna be great.
But you have that foundation already being college athletes, being
professional athletes before transitioning over to the WWE, that you
already had that base.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
You already had that foundation.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
It's just chiseling the mold, right, So it's gonna be
interesting to see both of your career skyrocket. We're talking
to Lash Legend, the Boogie Bully herself, one of the
newest call ups of ww SmackDown. They are going to
be at the KFC Young Center next month wu twenty seventh.
I'm gonna try so hard to make that show. We
actually get back on our honeymoon the day of, so

(19:06):
it's gonna be hard to try to swing to my
wife like, hey, baby, it was great spending time in
the Caribbean with you, but I gotta go to rest.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
That's right, No, enjoy yourself. We'll be back. I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, I'm sure, And I try to catch all the
shows just as much. But I definitely want to see you.
I definitely want to see Trick whenever they make it.
So we're talking January fourteenth right now, it's the start
of the new year. Where does lash Legend see herself
January fourteenth of twenty twenty seven. Any accomplishments that you
want to have been made? What do you think this
year of twenty twenty six is gonna do for you personally?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Personally, I feel like in my career, I have a
lot of goals that I want to achieve. This year,
I really won nine Naya and I to win those
tag team titles, and I know that we have everything
in us to be able to make that happen. So
that's like, that's the nearest goal that I want to achieve.

(20:02):
You know, it's twelve months and a year. That's a
lot of time to get a lot done. So I
think I got a lot more amy than just that,
but I'm gonna start off with that and then just
keep going up from there.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Excellent.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Well, Lash, thank you again so much for your time today.
It's gonna be awesome to see where your career goes
from here. And hopefully at a year from now when
you talk to us, you'll be carrying some gold or
we'll have our we'll have some stories of what it
was like to carry some gold.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
And we're big fans over here.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
We're going to be rooting for you, you and your husband,
everything in your personal life, your future husband, I'm sorry,
in your personal life. So we just wish you the
absolute best. So thank you for coming on the baby
Faces podcast.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Here, last thank you, thanks for having me,
