Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is a final the game and the series and
the results are good. Ye are you kidding me? Bye bye, Chicago,
see you later, not today, Craig Council. In the Chicago Cubs,
get out of here. You are advancing to the offseason.

(00:20):
Brewers are advancing to the National League Championship Series. Welcome
in everybody, Postgamettowattomi sportsbook, bet above the rest him l
and jeff Orlowski and a three to one Brewers victory.
No no Cubs, No.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
No Cubs.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
No, where you're going. You're going down ninety four. You're
going home. That's where you're going. This was one of
the biggest victories in franchise history. Wow.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Oh, Brewers don't hit home runs.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Oh you need to hit home runs in the in
the postseason, says a lot of people. Okay, well, the
Brewers hit one in the first, one in the fourth,
one in the seventh, and then unleash this pitching staff
on him.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Pat Murphy question marks in games three and four. I
think it was brilliantly handled. In Game five here.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Yeah, he sure did a hell of a lot better
than he did in the last two games.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Jacup Mizerowski and don't let don't sleep on this. Don't
sleep on the Chad Patrick performance. An inning and two
thirds of high stress, high leverage to get this thing done.
Aaron Asby whoops left the game after a couple of
batters with a couple of runners aboard and one out

(01:44):
in that sixth inning in a one run game, and
in comes Chad Patrick. The Bulldog gets out of the
sixth and then pitches a scoreless seventh with a couple
of punchouts. Abner Urebe six outs uprising nine, one, two,
and three coming up in the eighth inning, and Pat

(02:06):
Murphy says no to Jared Kanigg to face the lefties
toward the top of that order and says, Nope, I'm
going six outs with Abner. You Rebay. That's that's my
best bet here. That's our best guy back there. Turn
him loose and he got it done, and the Brewers
are moving on to the NLCS. Here in the twenty
twenty five Championship season, How loud did you scream after

(02:30):
this one forty two thousand and seven forty three at
American Family Field, And we hope you found us by now.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
We put it out there on the socials.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
We're over here on Fox Sports nine twenty and a
little different phone number for you at four one four
seven nine nine one nine twenty. That's four one four
seven nine nine one nine twenty. Celebratory audio is coming
your way. We'll hear from Pat Murphy, Hunter and the staff.

(03:00):
They are down there at American Family Field getting some
players reaction, celebrating. What did you think of the celebration
pipe bomb after the after the victory?

Speaker 5 (03:11):
You know, honestly, was I able to really watch a
whole lot of the celebration? No, because I was doing
Admiral's postgame show. I gotta go back and watch this
entire game.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
I'm just going nuts, dude.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
I am gonna well as he should, and I am
gonna sit there and I'm gonna be up all night long.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
The first the first four words or no, three words,
only three?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
I'm bad at math.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Suck it, Greg, Oh my god. All you people that
were scared to play the Cubs, you know, do I
think it was? I know you were, but I think
this feels better than if they would have just swept
him because you gave little little Greggy, You gave him hope,
and then you rip his freaking hard out and spit

(03:59):
on it. I love every second. Oh man, it's gonna
be one hell of a party tonight, Timmy.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Wow, this is this is a great feeling. As the
twenty twenty five championship season is not over. How about
we count victories now? We're down to eight? Yeahn to
eight for the title? Yes, sir, okay?

Speaker 7 (04:20):
Eight?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
And a date on Monday night at American Family Field
against the LA Dodgers, in which the Brewers were six
to zero against LA this year. Match up pretty well.
Dodgers are pretty good, but so are the above average Joes.
Ninety seven wins in the regular season, the number one seed,

(04:42):
the most wins in the league, and they prove that
by taking the nlds over the Chicago Cubs, the upstart
Chicago Cubs.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, so have fun ride home.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Don't let the toll booth hitch in the tailgate on
the way back to Chicago were I appreciate that those
of you that heard me on radio station down in
Chicago this afternoon, this has just beentersweet victory for me.
A little bit I was on with Chuck Swarski, yep,
old Chuck Chuck Swarsky, that guy who has story career

(05:17):
and all that, but boy, he wants us to lay
off Craig Council.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
That ain't gonna happen, Chucky.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
This is this victory here, and not only winning the
division in the regular season, but winning a playoff series
bodes well for the future. Here. You can continue to
say that you own that team. That is big for
now obviously, but it's huge moving forward. They're the ones

(05:49):
looking up at you again, like a lot of other teams,
but in division that is key, and the Brewers are
onto the NLCS. You're in the twenty five championship season.
Solo homers in the first, fourth, and seventh innings. You
might as well spread them out equally every few innings.

(06:10):
Get your slug. It was uh, William Contreras. Let's let's
see your highlight from TBS bottom of the first inning.
As Trevor McGill threw eleven pitches in the top half
of that first inning. I thought they were gonna send
him out there for the second, but they didn't. It
was Miserowski, but before they got to the second it
was Contraras's with a bat in his hand, bottom one

(06:33):
and he pulls this one tee to left center way.
Back and gone, yeah, there you go. There you go
one zip well uh Misowski who outs one to one.
Fast forward to the fourth in a tie game, and
just when Andrew Vaughan continued to slug hands on.

Speaker 8 (06:54):
With a try plip field, pretty teep, this pull is gone.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
There you go. Then it's two to one there and
it sat there as Asby would enter the game after
Miss's performance, he got to win by the way two
and zero. Two of the three victories go to Jacob Mizerowski.
But it was Asby and then Chad Patrick. Game got
to the bottom of the seventh inning, Brewers were looking
for some American family and sure yeah, and it was

(07:22):
off the bat and this dude needed it. You knew
it was coming, You knew the barrel was getting to
the ball. It was Bryce Terrang.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
That terrang Tribes one centerfield way back there.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
There It is on TBS as Bryce Terrang it was coming,
and he knew it when he hit it. I mean,
I think he knew it more than the TBS and
the Brewers radio network announcers.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Because Bryce knew it when he hit it.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
That was key, as the Brewers could not just put
it in the cruise control stay aggressive and not on men.
And that's what happened as Urebe entered the game for
the final six outs and they lock in a three
to one victory. And it ended like this.

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Cbs down to their fileout, Carson Kelly crowded a short
Ortiz makes.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
The play ball game over for Brewers.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
We'll play for the pennants, all right.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
They're after the NLCS.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Well, they're after the National League Pennant for sure, but
the Brewers twenty five championships.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
The season still is.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Alive and well, never a doubt, Timmy. We said it
after Game four. We got them right where we want them.
And how glorious is this.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Alive and kicking? Yes, oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Now a lot of people are saying, well, at least
you didn't lose to the Cubs.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
If you lose to the Dodgers, you didn't lose to
the Cubs.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
No, no, no, no, no gas pedal down. Man, they
got a shot at this thing. What did I tell you?
What did I tell you? Guys? With the best record
in baseball, getting the one seed, getting home field advantage
through out. I expect this team in the World Series.
I expect that. And so far you get to play
again Monday night. Details on that coming up a little

(09:20):
bit later on. Let's get to the nicolay law dot
com talk line at four one four seven nine, so
you have a little bit of a different number. We're
not gonna let you drone on tonight, fellas. I'm just
gonna put that out there right now. If you think
you're gonna take the stage and take five minutes, not happening. Okay,

(09:41):
just so we're all aware of this. So beer count Kenny,
you can crack one open. I know we're celebrating, uh,
but the brewers onto the NLCS.

Speaker 9 (09:51):
Yeah, hold on, we're not cracking one. Hold on one,
two three. And that's what it took to win. That's
damn series. Yeah, they had to get They wanted to
string it out for five games. I picked him to
sweep them. I was wrong, a rare wrong, Andy, But

(10:11):
the reality was this pitching staff was outstanding.

Speaker 10 (10:18):
It's amazing.

Speaker 9 (10:20):
What they did tonight was fabulous. People. This team can
hit home runs. My god, Terring broke out of a
slump tonight. He took Ben Laden's nephew deep in a
seventh threw armstrong.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
You still want to raise a little you still want
to throw a little tantrum out there. P C A
p You know what you you love a camera, don't you,
don't you kid?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Is that the blue haired kid? Yeah, that's the blue
haired kid.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
You love a camera. You can throw a tantrum anytime.
That dude. When when he flew out late in the game,
he really thought he was hitting a home run on
that on that pitch, he really didn't do a tantum.
I loved it, without a doubt.

Speaker 9 (11:03):
I was listening to the game on the patio. I
was coming in to see after because you don't run
a delay coming in, going out, coming in, going out.
Had to see it. And that kid is such a jackwagon.
I can't stand him. And the rest of them damn
comes down there. I could not wait for this game.
It took so long for this damn game to get going. Today.

(11:25):
I had good grimes. I had to calm Johnny down.
Everybody down there, all losing their minds, justin the whole crew.
Uncle James birthday today.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
What a birthday present? Beautiful?

Speaker 11 (11:37):
Better than that?

Speaker 3 (11:38):
All right, Kenny, thank you? Well, we'll talk.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
We get more shows, we get more games, and we
get a shot at the World Series.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
Here absolutely love it, love it. Thank you for the call, Kenny.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, thank you. Let's see here, cousin, Tim. There we
go and that opens up a line for you guys.
Four one four, what's up Timmy?

Speaker 12 (12:00):
A few things?

Speaker 13 (12:00):
I f and love it man standing Craig Council, back
to the to the dumps. Oh my god, dude, how
did not love it?

Speaker 1 (12:10):
We got to play Craig Counsel tonight. I got I
have got to hear him tonight, don't you guys, don't
you want to hear him?

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Dude? I hope he cries at the podium. I really
hope he breaks down crying.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Wow.

Speaker 13 (12:23):
This just reminded me of so much to like, Hey,
you live by the home, one you die by the home.
But sometimes the home mun comes back and bite you where,
you know. And he asked, yes, yes, And you know,
I wanted to use some you know, bulgarities, but I refrained.
So it's all good. I'm just happy. I'm just really happy.

(12:43):
So I'm at a loss for words of day, dude,
Because they're going to the pennant.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Man going after the pennant. Four wins to you know,
four wins to the pennant and they own the La
Dodgers this year. Let's get at him on Monday, Timmy,
I gotta move, Uncle James. It's your birthday. Happy birthday
to you. There you go, Uncle James.

Speaker 14 (13:04):
What to do?

Speaker 11 (13:06):
Yety men? Gentmen?

Speaker 15 (13:08):
What you do?

Speaker 11 (13:09):
This is a fantomas freaking birthday. I can't believe it. Yeah,
I didn't want this game to happen on this day.
But I mean, seven days ago my mom turned eighty nine.
Six days ago we had a celebrational life for Aunt Terry,
God rest her soul, and we won tonight. I mean, yeah,

(13:30):
this is the best damn sixty seventh birthday I think
I could ever made.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
There you go, let out, let out, Uncle James. Let
out a big hurricane hippo holler for us. Yeah, yeah,
there you go.

Speaker 11 (13:52):
You got my walk now right?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
So well, that's true.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I have thought of that.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
Oh I did?

Speaker 11 (13:59):
You got got a radio for at least what.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
At least eight more games?

Speaker 6 (14:06):
At least eight at least eight more games?

Speaker 11 (14:09):
So okay, are we counting up to windows eight? Are
we counting down from eight to zero? How do you
think we should do that?

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Well?

Speaker 5 (14:20):
After the show, me and Tim will have a bunch
of ninety nine ers and we'll figure that out.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
We're going up at the level meeting.

Speaker 11 (14:26):
Yes, okay, well yeah, I sall doing drinking ninety nine
ers and talking just to damn games started. I just
switched to beer because should shoot. I gotta get up
and go to work in the morning.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
At fly, have another one.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
You're in this deep.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Have another one.

Speaker 16 (14:45):
I think I'm gonna but yeah, I want to kill
a night man. I love this, and I'm gonna call
Monday's one Peach well one Tree, five and seven. I'll
talk to you guys soon. Bring I Ala go panto
he keep the bus buzzet.

Speaker 17 (15:02):
Happy birthday, Uncle Jays absolutely oh celebrating a Brewer's NLCS
appearance here in the twenty twenty five championship season after
a three to one victory to take the NLDS over
the Chicago Cubs and send the Cubs pack into the offseason.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
I absolutely love this. I again, no worse way to
end your season than that dude and those guys down
in Chicago, and it did not happen. I am loving this.
You took down one heritage team, You're gonna go down
and take another one down. You're gonna go on Monday

(15:43):
against the LA Dodgers. Take that iconic and heritage team
down and have your appearance in the World Series for
the second time in franchise history.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
Yeah, this is the revenge tour. You know, you get
revenge over Greg for being the trader a hole that
he is. In this series, We're gonna get revenge for
twenty eighteen against LA and who cares. No, you know,
I don't even know the stupid teams in that other
dumb league that we're gonna crush to win the World Series.

(16:15):
So this is absolutely amazing. But like you said, Timmy,
you know, just even the thought of losing to those guys,
so glad that that is erased and now we can celebrate,
dance on their graves, shove it in Greg's face. And look,
did you see who took the loss today? Well that
would be the disgraced ex American hero Colin Ray. Thank you,

(16:39):
he just continues to give and give to the city
of Milwaukee. Colin, We love you for that, Thank you
very much.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
And who hit the home run or who did Conferis
hit the home run off of in the first inning
Pomerantz former Brewer, Yes, Sarah Luranz. Colin Ray gets the loss.
The only only uh, you know, weak point here is
they didn't get to punish up Savali a little bit.
But yeah, they got Craig, they got Palm Rantz, they

(17:09):
got Colin Ray and then Savally is. Probably he's probably
out outside American Family Field. No one even knows who
he is. He's probably waiting for his uber.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure he's thumb
in the air all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
Who you know?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
All right, a different phone number here. I'm glad you
found us here on Fox Sports nine to twenty for
the postgame Show with Pottawatami Sportsbook after a Brewer's NLDS
decisive Game five victory over the Cubs three to one,
final four one four seven nine one four one four seven.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
All right, where are we gonna go?

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Let's bring in American hero Harley. You're on with Timmy Harley.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
How about this?

Speaker 7 (17:55):
I just love it? But I got some breaking news.
Do you want to hear it?

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Shoot?

Speaker 7 (18:01):
Yeah, it's it's Craig Council here he is, I think, well, yeah,
being said, for that being said, guys, everything's been said.
Happy birthday, James bringing out the Dodgers let's kick the ass.

Speaker 9 (18:25):
This is our year.

Speaker 18 (18:26):
Have a good night, guys, all right.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Harley, enjoy this. Yeah, and that's the thing. We get
to hang out for another few more weeks.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Think about that.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
I mean, this isn't uh now, this isn't a series
that gets done in a couple of days. Here they
go well beyond another week minimum. Oh yeah, and then
into the World Series. Yes, sir. Oh it is so
great to reset though, isn't it. That's what I'm feeling
right now. Yeah, the jubilation, celebration brew Fouria winning over

(19:01):
the Cubs and moving on to the NLCS. But I
think it's also from a baseball standpoint, a chance to
just decompress a little bit, chill out, get your ducks
in a row here heading into Monday, get your pitching
back in order here, get a game plan. This was

(19:21):
an amazing performance by this Brewer pitching staff today. Yeah,
it just was. And we're going to point at the
home runs for sure, but I will say this that
the performance is from McGill, the performance from obviously Jacob Mazowski,
and II think the pitcher of the game. One would

(19:44):
point to Miserowski or Abner Yurebe hidden, just laying in
the weeds. There is the bulldog. Saint Patrick. It was
Saint Patty's day to day.

Speaker 9 (19:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
No, Saint Patrick was absolutely electric. I agree for me,
it's between him and McGill. You finally shut those idiots
down in the first inning. Yes, you allowed yourself to
take a lead, albeit for a very short time there,
but you took the lead. You scored first. You set
the tone a little bit, and Trevor McGill was great

(20:14):
to uh to open up this game. But I'll tell
you when it got when it got later on, I
was like, oh, come on, we need McGill.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah, yeah, who's gonna go?

Speaker 1 (20:24):
I was. I was blown away by Murphy and the
boldness to go ahead with you Rebay there in the
eighth inning because they were facing nine, one two three
there and that was that was Bush and Tucker.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
Won three lefties.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
You knew there was gonna be a pinch hitter in
the in the in the nine spot, or if had
they gone Knig there, Uh, they would have let Shaw
go ahead and hit against Kanig. But uh huh. Murphy said,
no way, man, I'm this close. I got my guy here.
And for those of you that said Abner Rebay is
going to be the closer by the end of the season.

(21:03):
You were right on the money, because not only that
came true. Now again, injury had something to do with
that a little bit. But not only he is the
closer toward the end of the season like you predicted,
but he got a six out save in Game five
of the NLDS. Absolutely incredible. So this pitching staff, Aaron Asby,

(21:27):
come on, buddy, come on, man, you find yourself again
smack in the middle of all of this. Got to
do a little bit better, man, a little bit better now.
He pitched the opener on what game two? In Game two,
and then this time got in trouble here pitched what

(21:47):
his fourth appearance in this series. He's given up four
runs through five innings of work. So that needs to
settle in just a little bit. But the Brewers are
moving on again. From phone number four one four seven
and the nicolay Law dot com talk line, we say
hello to Drew Drew. You're next year on Fox Sports

(22:10):
nine to twenty.

Speaker 19 (22:11):
Well say, Craig Council's kind of out here looking like
a screen door on a submarine, and let me tell
you something else. PCA The one thing I gotta say
about PC, I'm impressed Bias. He's the only man I've
ever seen that could suck a golf ball through a garden.

Speaker 20 (22:26):
Host.

Speaker 9 (22:26):
Boys, we're going to.

Speaker 19 (22:27):
The Pennant Championship season.

Speaker 21 (22:30):
Let's go fellas, appreciate it, Let's go Lo got it?

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yep, you got it. We're celebrating that tonight postgame show
with Pottawatomy sportsbook bet above the rest and prior to
the game, this game it took. This was the slowest
afternoon in history.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yeah did you notice that?

Speaker 5 (22:50):
You know, well kind of you know, I've been here
since seven thirty in the morning, but uh, but yeah, no,
it it was inchined by man just waiting for first pick.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
It seemed like it took forever.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
It got to be.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
I got off the air in Chicago quarter to FIVEUSS,
and then it was like, why is it moving so
so shouldn't it be like ten to seven now? And
I'm thinking, why don't you take a nap?

Speaker 5 (23:21):
There's no way you were going to sleep. You were
too amped up.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
I know that. And it was like, well, what do
I do?

Speaker 1 (23:26):
What do I do?

Speaker 22 (23:27):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Smoking cigarettes just to play my guitar a little bit.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
What do I do? Take a walk?

Speaker 8 (23:35):
It took a walk, scratch off lottery tickets. I mean,
I go to the bar quick for a couple, I mean,
what do I do? It just was slow motion moving
into this game. And let's get to the fans now
at American Family Field, you guys were amazing. Now I've

(23:56):
heard ratios anywhere between sixty forty Brewer fan.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I don't buy that. I've heard ratios of seventy thirty,
sixty five, thirty five.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, but it was loud.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
And for those of us that had to listen to
that neighborhood dump down there in Chicago, h with those
Rabbit fans go crazy.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Hey, they got a taste of their own medicine here.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
And this is why that one seed, this, that one
seed put them in this situation for this game to
be at home. Now, was the home field advantage compromised
just a little bit because it was the Cubs, Yes,
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Not gonna happen with the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
That is going to be ninety ten minimum, right, Brewers
fans forty two thousand and four to seventy three to
witness one of the biggest wins in franchise history. You
can count on one hand. It makes it. This game
here makes it mm hmm, it could have. It could

(25:09):
be made even bigger depending on what goes on moving forward.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
Yeah, there's only a coach, you know.

Speaker 5 (25:15):
I don't think anybody's really gonna sell their tickets, uh
to the next round here. Uh, there's very few reasons
why I would, you know, exceptions, I would make Sydney
Sweeney you know, hey, hey, you're.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
A call me. You you owely won though Sydney, you know.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
But but yeah, very few exceptions.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
But yeah, no the places you know, you thought it.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
Was rock and now, man, wait till the NLCS. This
is gonna be just absolutely an electric factory.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Nicola law dot com talk line. We find Pete and Tie. Yeah, tie,
my son. I would assume Pete and Tie. How about
this at American Family Field, you guys were in the park.

Speaker 9 (25:56):
What's up, gentlemen?

Speaker 22 (25:58):
How are we doing tonight?

Speaker 5 (25:59):
What's its smile?

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Little Mollward?

Speaker 22 (26:04):
Oh baby, hey, listen. I was at the elimination game
last year and there was such a difference in the
in the just in in the park tonight. I can't
describe it, but.

Speaker 11 (26:17):
It just felt right.

Speaker 22 (26:19):
Now I will say, celebrate tonight. I don't know how
much you guys pay attention to basketball, but there is
a Kobe Bryant video out there, never heard of. Job
is not finished. It's like, be excited tonight, the job
is not finished. Now I am with a very sour,

(26:41):
very sour pipe bomb. Get your bleep button ready, because
he is sour and here is deep.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
Pete is a Cub fan.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Now. We talked to Pete's dad a few weeks, about
a month or two ago.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
I don't know, pipe bomb.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
If you remember, Pete's dad was Caleb Durban's high school
baseball coach.

Speaker 6 (27:03):
I do remember that.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Yeah, yeah, and he wasn't your teammate, was he, Pete?

Speaker 23 (27:09):
No, he was not. Yeah, we were separated by a
couple of years.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
So as a Cub fan.

Speaker 24 (27:17):
Keen events a little bit.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Then how are you feeling as a Cub fan?

Speaker 23 (27:22):
I just know that we two hundred and twelve million
dollars and we're out there starting Drew Commarants.

Speaker 22 (27:28):
It's a problem.

Speaker 25 (27:30):
No, no, no, no, it's two hundred and twelve million
dollars payroll and we're starting Drew Commarants in a go
home game.

Speaker 26 (27:39):
Listen the Carodo was electric tonight.

Speaker 13 (27:41):
Me and me and your son Ti.

Speaker 27 (27:43):
We had a great time.

Speaker 23 (27:44):
I just I'm sick of losing his games, man, and
I'm just there was nothing from the Cub's offense today.
Nothing the bust pitch steps.

Speaker 11 (27:52):
On us down and uh listen.

Speaker 9 (27:55):
I'm gonna be real with you.

Speaker 23 (27:57):
I'm the probably the biggest Unders fan there is.

Speaker 22 (27:59):
Bye bye.

Speaker 23 (28:05):
But speaking of the Hot Way, we're gonna go over
there soon and we're hoping to win some money back.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
But that's because Amanaga he well, he wasn't doing well.
They were afraid he was going to give up home runs.

Speaker 23 (28:25):
Yep, yeah, I could hit over off Tim, Tim.

Speaker 9 (28:33):
One more question for you guys, one more question.

Speaker 26 (28:36):
Did you guys just have Joe Walsh from the Eagles
on you did?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Yes, yes, we did well. We disguised his uncle James.

Speaker 22 (28:44):
Okay, uncle James, Uncle James.

Speaker 28 (28:46):
Yeah, the Eagles will sue you or something.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Well, that's why it's the James. Joe Walsh was in
the James gang. That's uncle James. All right, Pete, you
guys have a great time at pot and uh put
a little money on the brewer is to win it
all like me, all right, go for it.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
Thank you, Pete, Thank you, ty I love you.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
Damn right.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
That was nice for you to bail Tie out of
jail in time to get to the game.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Just in time.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Yeah, you know, you know, Pete's getting deported back to
Illinois here shortly. Why don't we bring in Nick and
let him celebrate a little bit.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Nick Brewers beat the Cubs and they're moving on to
the NLCS, and we're talking about it tonight here on
Fox Sports nine to twenty.

Speaker 14 (29:28):
Boys unreal, So I got I got a little bit
of an issue. So what I watched, so at least
the last couple of games when I've been watching the
games because now this whole streaming thing, Yeah tough. So
today I went out in the garage and I got

(29:49):
the game on the radio, and conturius, it's the first
home run. So go back in, watch the game, come
back out to get a beer. Vond comes up, boom
hits another home run.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
Hopefully you learned.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Your lesson after the second one, right, right, and you
just stay in the garage.

Speaker 14 (30:11):
She told the wife. I'm like, all right, every time
we're on offense, I'm out in the garage.

Speaker 11 (30:16):
I'll be back.

Speaker 29 (30:17):
I'll be.

Speaker 14 (30:20):
Because the streaming is literally like a whole batter behind Now.
It's ridiculous. Man, I don't know how people can watch
this shit and like, you know, text people back and
forth and be like, I'm sorry, I hit the button.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Go ahead, man, we got you, we got you out.

Speaker 14 (30:38):
I'm so sorry, guys. Anyway, I don't know how people
can watch this in like text people back and forth
with the games, like with streaming because you don't know
what service they're on, and like how far is there?

Speaker 26 (30:49):
You are?

Speaker 14 (30:49):
Bere like it's so listen. All I can say is,
everybody watch the Brewers on offense. Uh, listen to him.
I'm sorry, listen to the Brewers on offense on the radio.
Go back and watch them on defense on streaming, because
that's I don't know, it seemed to work for me tonight.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Yeah, there you go, all right, enjoy it, Nick, enjoy it,
celebrate it.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
But yeah, this isn't finished. I agree with Tie. I
mean it's not. There's still a lot of work to do.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
This team is looking for their first ring in franchise history.
There's a lot of work to do, Yes, there is,
but I mean we're I am as jazzed up as
I have ever been after a Brewers victory ever, this
just wow. No, you didn't do it. That at least

(31:41):
that team didn't do it. Oh could you imagine?

Speaker 5 (31:45):
No, no, no, no, no, no, don't don't go there,
not at all.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Let's go on the nicolay law dot com talk line
at four one four seven, we say hello to another Tim, Tim,
you're not next year Jimmy Baseball.

Speaker 11 (32:03):
It's Bottomego Junior.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Yes, it is after game tonight.

Speaker 25 (32:09):
I am actually standing next to the one and only
Louis from Pottawa Sports Books.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Our guy there, he is beautiful.

Speaker 10 (32:19):
Oh we are.

Speaker 26 (32:19):
A cloud, Nye Tommy Baseball sit here in the parking
lot having a couple like gold Miller likes.

Speaker 25 (32:26):
Yeah, because who was the smart one to say we're
gonna win this whole thing tonight and packed a six pack?

Speaker 7 (32:35):
So there you go.

Speaker 25 (32:39):
Holy cow, that crowd to night unbelievable. I would have
to say, I'm seventy thirty if that, if that might okay,
oh yep, yep, I might even go maybe seventy five, yeah,
seventy five, twenty five okay, So it's just good to
send him home. And you should have seen them all
rush out after that after that last out.

Speaker 20 (33:00):
It's almost like they.

Speaker 11 (33:01):
Were pre told or something.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, that is that is awesome? Now, would you agree,
Tim Luis, You guys follow Brewers baseball is as closely
as anybody. Is this one of the biggest victories in
franchise history? Or am I just overdoing that because I
hate the Cubs so much?

Speaker 25 (33:23):
Nope, nope, nope.

Speaker 20 (33:24):
This is number two.

Speaker 25 (33:25):
I go behind the eighty two the to clinch the
al This is number two for now, for now, like you.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah, so the Alcs against the Angels to get into
the World Series. Okay, So you could also do the
Mustakas walk off against the Rockies. You could do the
Niger Morgan Tony plush play.

Speaker 26 (33:48):
Don't stack up, though, Timmy, those don't stack up because
you know what, if you lose today, you lost to
your bitter rival, yes, the guy who spurned you right
after you had a franchise record and wins. There were
so many variables in this game that if you lose
this game, it's not just the loss. You don't just
go home like against the Mets or the Diamondbacks or

(34:10):
the Braves.

Speaker 11 (34:11):
No, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 26 (34:12):
These people came and dance on your graves. And now
guess what we're dancing on their graves, Timmy, We're dancing
on the grave at Wrigley Field and all those smelly troes.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yes, suddenly I looked out when the game and when
the game ended, I looked down the street here and
there was no goats to be seen anywhere.

Speaker 26 (34:29):
No, the holy goat is Craig Housel in my opinion
right now, because that guy still can't manage an elimination game.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Well.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
And the other thing to think about, guys, is the
Brewers are still the team that they are chasing all
the way through the offseason, all the way through the
twenty six championship season. The tide did not turn, despite
the Brewers winning the division quite handily this year. Had
the Cubs won this game, they would have considered the

(34:58):
tide to turn a little bit, that they're the team
to be. That's not the case the Brewers. They own
the Cubs still, and council, it's been two years of
your five year contract. Clock is ticking on you, my friend,
his ticking.

Speaker 26 (35:15):
And here's one thing. Here's one thing, Tommy. When you
open up the dictionary tomorrow and you look up masterclass
in managing a bullpen. Pat Murphy's faith will be in there, because,
my God in Heaven, that job he did right. One pitch,
one bad pitch by Miss and that was it. That
kid came out. He pitched his life right. Chad Patrick, Hey,

(35:37):
Aaron Ashley. I think maybe he's not on the roster
for the LCS, right, But that's a good problem to
have to figure out who's on that LCS roster. But
my goodness in Heaven, from Chad Patrick to Miss to
a rebate, it was just unbelievable by Murph.

Speaker 30 (35:53):
That guy had.

Speaker 26 (35:53):
Pushed all the buttons, knows what he's doing. And you know,
for me, he was getting I told I told Timmy
here he gets a Giannis like Jordan Love, Michael Parsons
like ovation when he gets announce that guy's a god.
He doesn't pay for any type of drink in this state,
in my opinion, for the rest of.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
His life, especially at the Pottawatomy Sports book, where you
can find Luis.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
All right, louisay, thanks man, we'll be in touch, all right.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Oh yeah, good stuff, my goodness. Yeah. It was a
brilliant managed job by Pat Murphy prior to the game
and obviously throughout the game, anyone questioned McGill starting, Hey,
you calling an opener, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 25 (36:39):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (36:40):
I didn't question it. I kind of liked it.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Don't look now the way miss Rowski is pitching. There's
a new secret weapon in town. Unleash him when you
need some length, and he's given it. We're did he
walk anybody? Was there command issues? No? No, no, He's

(37:04):
going after these guys having some fun.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
And he had the eye of the tiger in him.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
But Chad Patrick, that bulldog woo man, my man.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
Yeah, both of them were absolutely electric. Mizerowski, there were
a couple times Contraras threw the ball back at him
and he caught it, did a little shoulders shake kind
of thing. It's like, oh yeah, man, the boy is
feeling it. It sucked, you know, he gave up that
one homer to Suzuki, but whatever, man, this is absolutely awesome,
and yeah he was. He was great man. Four innings,

(37:38):
you know, yeah, three hits, but whatever. It so glorious.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, text your friends that were over here on Fox
Sports nine to twenty tonight on the AM dial, celebrating
a three to one victory in game five of the nlds,
and the Brewers are advancing to the twenty twenty five
NLCS with a shot to go to the World Series
with a series victory. We'll take a break, We'll come

(38:04):
back again a different number. Here on the nicolay law
dot Com talk line at four one, four seven, nine nine,
nine twenty there's the Polish pipe bomb jeff Orloski Tim
Allen postgame show celebration tonight with Pottawatami Sportsbook Here on
Fox Sports nine to twenty. How sweet it is Brewers

(38:26):
headed to the NLCS after a Game five, decisive Game
five victory over the Chicago Cubs three to one. The
final Welcome back Fox Sports nine to twenty postgame show
with Pottawatami Sportsbook bet Above the rest, Tim Allen, there's
jeff Orlowski. Been doing the show twenty years pipe bomb

(38:47):
and this is one of the biggest victories that I
have witnessed in those twenty years. M HM, big time.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Paul Mollader throws out the first pitch.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Ryan Brawn is there to fire up the crew out
a huge victory forty two thousand, seven hundred plus at
American Family Field as the Brewers well, four wins away
from a World series. How does that sound?

Speaker 10 (39:11):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (39:12):
Man, just absolutely amazing. And it's just like you said,
you know, you had Mallitor throw out the first pitch
Hunter sat there and talked to Ryan Braun today on
the on Your T's and Q's program over on ninety
seven to three of the game, saying that how much
of a difference the fans make and how the Brewers
needed the fans to show up. And man, did you

(39:34):
guys ever that was absolutely amazing?

Speaker 1 (39:37):
You matched it and did one better than Wrigley Field
during Game four. Yeah, because Game four was crazy.

Speaker 6 (39:45):
It was a mano Okay, it was.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
A bigger madhouse at American Family Field tonight.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Yes, sir, you guys.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Did an amazing job tonight because now you have impact
the year of Yuke. Have we mentioned this yet? Little
Yuker magic going on here?

Speaker 6 (40:05):
That's the first time I've heard that.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
You know, when when you think about what they experienced
last year. Of course Darling had to bring that up
on TBS. You notice that. Of course. Of course, now
this next series won't be won't be these two knuckleheads,
will it?

Speaker 6 (40:25):
I sure hope not.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Man, I don't think it will. I don't think they
have the League Championship Series. I think that flips over
to Fox.

Speaker 6 (40:34):
It should, it definitely should.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
All right, we'll get back to you guys, different phone number.
My phone is blowing up. Where are you guys? Where
are you guys? No show tonight, No got the show,
just not on ninety seven through the game. It's over
here on Fox Sports nine to twenty. Another reason to
download that iHeartRadio app and then you can find us

(40:57):
anywhere you're at.

Speaker 5 (40:58):
Absolutely and it does, unfortunately look like TBS does have
the NLC.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Boy really yeah boo wow.

Speaker 5 (41:08):
But hopefully Darling gets fired by then.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
We'll see four one four seven on the nicolay Law
dot com talk line as the Brewers are headed to
the NLCS and we're celebrating that. How about this pitching
staff McGill, Misslerowski ashby Patrick and Urebay for a six
out save you Rebay. Interestingly enough, you still felt pretty confident.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
But he was falling behind hitters.

Speaker 5 (41:37):
He was, and he allowed the only walk by Brewers
pitching in today's game.

Speaker 3 (41:43):
Miss Erowski clean on the walks.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Looks like there's a there's some weaponry there with Misserowski.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
Well, he definitely silenced a lot of the critics, myself
included that thought that maybe the lights were too bright
and all that for him. And he came in today
four innings that only the one mistake, which was the
Suzuki homer, but besides that, he was absolutely phenomenal. So
he definitely quieted some critics, anybody who was sitting there

(42:13):
wondering if he could come through being as young as
he is, as inexperienced at this level.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
And I think MIS.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Told him, sh yeah, quite down a little bit. I
momentumus a thing in baseball, and I thought the moment
I was concerned about a momentum shift. After the Brewers,
Chad Patrick gets out of that sixth inning bottom half,
and you have Contreras hit an absolute laser beam for

(42:42):
a double play, and I was like, oh man, this Chad,
come on, bulldog, come on baby, you got to shut
that off. You got to shut that off in the
top of the seventh, and he did the job. He
was amazing, all right. And the home runs by Contreras
Andrew Vaughan, Oh, we yeah, we don't have the von
more over in this studio.

Speaker 5 (43:04):
Uh yeah, I've got the Vaughan.

Speaker 10 (43:06):
Oh, you do.

Speaker 5 (43:07):
We gotta get it asking you oops, let me shut
the music off first, and then it's my first day
asking you shall receive.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
It's a solo shot that gave the Brewers a two
to one lead in the fourth inning, and then Bryce
to Rang long over that just a bomb four sixteen.
He knew it was gone.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
I think he knew it before anybody else.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
I actually, I think the Crown and Bryce to Rang
knew it before the announcers both radio and TV knew it.

Speaker 5 (43:41):
Yeah, I think so. It so nice to see because
you know, obviously Terrang scuffling had some just horrendous looking
at bats and all that.

Speaker 6 (43:51):
For him to bounce back with that huge homer, and.

Speaker 5 (43:54):
Man, I'll tell you the only time I was really
you know.

Speaker 6 (43:58):
I I've been nervous all day long.

Speaker 5 (44:00):
But the time that I was super nervous is you know,
bases loaded for the crew and you know who comes
to the plate, and I'm just, oh my god, why
does this happen every single game?

Speaker 3 (44:13):
It's gonna come through.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
I'm telling you he's coming through.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
One of these times. It's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
Caleb Durban a couple of hits in a walk in
the ballgame tonight. You had Perkins in a couple of
big spots there. I mean, he gets a knock in
one of those two at bats, and the Brewers have
a little bit more of a cushion, and then there's
there was as you said, Joey Ortiz, all right, let's
get to the calls in. Let's let's not talk about Joeyark.

Speaker 6 (44:39):
Yes, good idea.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
All right, let's go to Rich Rich here next year
on Fox Sports nine to.

Speaker 21 (44:44):
Twenty franchise, Jeff, we beat the freaking Chicago coming. Yes, sir,
How beautiful is that? How beautiful is that?

Speaker 18 (44:57):
Man? It's so sweet. It couldn't have been a sweeter
night than what happened tonight because it's the Chicago Cubs.
And you know another thing, this is going to loosen
this team up big time.

Speaker 1 (45:10):
Now.

Speaker 18 (45:11):
These guys have been playing tight for almost a week.
We all saw it with Priester, we all saw it
with Freddie. I think this is going to loosen these
kids up and they're really going to pound the ball
the rest of the against the Dodgers. And another thing,
thank you, thank you, thank you Murph for sticking with
Vaughan and sticking with Durbin.

Speaker 10 (45:33):
Yes, I remember the.

Speaker 18 (45:34):
Middle of the year people were calling for Durbin's head
that he wasn't a third baseman, he wasn't that good.
That play he made tonight on that little line drive
by his ankles, I think that was the play of
the game. And he just comes up big. And I'll
tell you what, playing first base for Vonnie, he made

(45:56):
some great plays this whole series. So congratulate the those
two guys. Congrats to the Brewers, and God is it's
so good to hear you guys laughing again. Tim, Tim,
you nervous wreck. Yes, I know you, man, I know you.
You've been a nervous wrecks since Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
I've been a nervous recks since September. First. I mean,
let's face it, all right, Rich, thank you. We'll talk
to you soon. No, it's it's I won't be as
nervous against the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
I can tell you that right now. And we all
know why.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
My absolute hatred to that team, not their fans. I'm
a little different than other Brewers fans, other Brewer fans,
and that's fine. I'm not I'm not downing you for it.
You hate the Brewer, the cub fans. I don't dislike
the Cub fans.

Speaker 20 (46:47):
Man.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
I grew up and live in Kenosha. It's about half
and half. I got a lot of friends that are
that are big Cub fans. I don't hate those people.
I hate that team. And then I gotta uh, I
don't know. Attacked is the right word on a Chicago
station this afternoon. Okay, but on my way out, I

(47:07):
said no, no, he actually forced me to say it. No. No, yeah,
Bye bye Chicago, Bye bye. Brewers are going to win
this game. By bye Chicago is the way I entered
that interview. I did. I had to love it, My goodness,
love it.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
Oh man, this is beautiful, just awesome.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
All right, let's go to John John your next year
on Fox Sports nine to twenty. Brewers win, They're headed
to the NLCS.

Speaker 31 (47:37):
Oh yeah, I'll keep it real brief, fellows. First of all,
I love that we get more postgame shows in the season,
and I'm so happy both for you guys, but then
also the guys on the radio team who are down
there tonight. They deserve to be in that. You guys,
you're doing what you love, but it's also hard work.
So I'll say that. Secondly, I was at the Mike

(48:00):
Mustakis walkoff. I was very fortunate to be there when
I caught Brewers fever.

Speaker 9 (48:05):
Truly, I was.

Speaker 31 (48:06):
At the twenty eleven Niger Morgan walk off too. I
just got lucky. My dad picked some good games to
drag me out.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Oh yes, wow.

Speaker 31 (48:14):
I will tell you this though. Tonight I was otherwise prescheduled,
and I was doing a audio gig out in like
the Eagle area. A bunch of high school kids watching
the game, just kind of paying attention to it. Kids
who don't even say were maybe you know, three or
four in twenty eleven. It's crazy to think about, but
that's the reality of it, right. One thing you said earlier,

(48:37):
Tim was that this whole situation that this is, you know,
going to continue to guarantee that we are going to
be the team that the Cubs are looking up at. Well,
you know what, this is also doing this kind of
a run. This is bringing a whole nother generation of
fans into the Bold people who otherwise would maybe be

(48:57):
marginal fans are not really paying attention, and the baseball
in Milwaukee who are now going to be hooked on
baseball in Milwaukee I was around at least twelve of
them tonight, who maybe one or two.

Speaker 26 (49:07):
Of them cared him.

Speaker 31 (49:08):
By the end of it, they're all going bonkers watching
the keeper. We're going to keep it going. And last thing, forget,
I don't even want to say their name. It's not
because of a distaste for their franchise, but you know
who this is about. This is about the twenty twenty
five championship season, Milwaukee Brewers sitting the franchise record and wins,
the franchise record win streak, and maybe just maybe eight

(49:31):
more games and then the first franchise World Series. But
this season is already for me feeling like a total success.
Let's keep rolling and let's keep listening to you guys.
Have a great night.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Thank you, John the official engineer of the Postgame Show.

Speaker 5 (49:47):
There is John the greatest engineer in the history of
the world.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
I think, so.

Speaker 5 (49:53):
Yeah, oh yeah, and that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
That helps me so much on my my gear. Oh yeah,
at my home studio.

Speaker 5 (50:00):
If you know, if I had to pay him a
dollar for every stupid, you know, technology question I have
asked him, man, he would never have to work for
about six lifetimes. So yeah, he's helped me out big
time as well. But the fact that he's spreading the
love of just you know, Brewer baseball to you know
people that you know, not everybody's locked in like we are,

(50:22):
day in, day out, every pitch. So that's amazing. And
he's one hundred percent right because I got a text from.

Speaker 6 (50:28):
My daughter in college today.

Speaker 5 (50:30):
You know, you think she calls me never, You think
I ever hear from her, never, But she texted, woo hoo.
You know, Brewers beat the Cubs and all that. So yes,
there's a lot of people that normally don't pay attention
paying attention.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
Now ground ball and a throw to first and the
Brewers are headed to the NLCS. Wow, that is this
is all just so cool. My goodness, this is special.
There's something special going on. It's beginning to look a

(51:05):
lot like Christmas. Here we go, all right, who's next?
Different phone number again, those of you want to text
your friends. They're wondering where are they. They're not on
the game ninety seven to three FM. No, we're over
here on the AM dial and text your friends. Fox
Sports nine to twenty and that phone number four one
four seven nine nine one.

Speaker 5 (51:28):
Yeah, let's go to the man who always celebrates with
beautiful women, justin, Justin, you gotta be going crazy.

Speaker 20 (51:37):
It is me or you when someone else you shauld
always telebrate with beautiful bitches, And that couldn't have been me.
So I'm just confused. Hey man, I don't understand how
happy I am. I'm just like cloting right now. But
it's just so dope because we're guaranteed more games than
you and Pipe. Happy birthday, Uncle James. But we gotta
come to the We got to come to the altar

(51:59):
of Tim tonight. I'm gonna keep it a buck with you.
I was down, Murphy. I called in the last two
nights and I said that he managed three bad games.
Tim Toe's down on that. However, I'm gonna give our
manager credit because he manages behind him every move like
you see, all the normal stuff. But that inning, when

(52:22):
askedby had a guy on first and second and he
pulled him for Patrick k.

Speaker 27 (52:25):
Patrick got under the inning.

Speaker 20 (52:26):
That is elite level managing. That is not Craig console
level managing. Now Tim unfriends with you, guys. I may
have called fifty percent of the show of the best
postgame show on Earth, and I may have told dudes
even worse things about Pat Murphy. So we just got
to stand on it. And there was another guy was doubting.

(52:48):
I said he shouldn't even be on the postseason roster
because it was too big for him. And that's miss Rowski.
Hey man, you know what I do it? Oh, I
did a tim thing too. I've been on the cups
of a too, So thank you Morkey Brewers, you got
a donation for your win.

Speaker 1 (53:04):
Vizarowski the Polish rifle was just shooting bullets in this series. Really,
he has pitched really well in this series, you know.
And when you talk about Murphy's moves, not just with
the bullpen management, did.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
You guys notice which offensive.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
Lineup he went with tonight, Yes, sir, Games one and
two identical.

Speaker 20 (53:29):
No, but it's just so great. And then you saw
Craig Council kind of putting that ballasterios dude up there.

Speaker 9 (53:34):
What is he a golfer?

Speaker 20 (53:35):
Like a dude is a late season call up? That's
an epic. That's a perfect example of Craig trying to
be the smartest guy in the room. Take your punk
ass back to White Visbay. We don't like you, man,
I gotta get out of here. You know, I gotta
go the same way, but we gotta put a little
twist on the right pike. So first of all, f
Tyrese Halliburton and his daddy, we saw you on the

(53:56):
sidelines with your Cubs jersey on being from oscos F
the Halliburtons free to pipe ball.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
I'll go, oh, this is so fun.

Speaker 6 (54:08):
Oh yeah, this is just this is.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Three to one. The Brewers beat the Cubs in Game
five of this year's n LDS.

Speaker 5 (54:15):
It feels like now, you know it felt three to
one at the end of the game. Right now, it
feels about three hundred to nothing.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
You had three three hundred zip over the Cubs as
they are packing their gear, getting ready to enjoy well
probably not an off season, getting into their offseason. They
can watch baseball on TV and wish they were there.
Uh huh oh yeah, where's the counts cam now doing

(54:43):
a heel spin toward the bullpen phone. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (54:50):
Oh, he can huff and puff the entire off season
and no one is going to pay any attention.

Speaker 6 (54:56):
It's glorious.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
Yeah, as the Brewers blew his house down. All right, Adam,
you're next hear Fox Sports nine to twenty brewers into
the NLCS.

Speaker 28 (55:07):
Welcome, gentlemen. What a day, What a day. One thing
I gotta do is.

Speaker 9 (55:15):
Ah, love it, love it.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
That's nice.

Speaker 10 (55:24):
For that win.

Speaker 28 (55:28):
Again, I'm not I'm not one to judge Pat, but
I think we could have kept mcgillan for two more.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
Well, at least another batter or two.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
That did surprise me through eleven pitches in a one
two three inning, and yeah you're thinking maybe get another
out or two, but not the case went to miss Well.

Speaker 28 (55:51):
Yeah, and obviously that wasn't a bad decision. Not going
to disagree with that, but again, uh, wo for that
wind tonight. I mean, our boys showed up for sure.

Speaker 5 (56:08):
Don't forget you used a FaceTime call, so keep your shirt.

Speaker 6 (56:11):
On, Adam.

Speaker 28 (56:14):
I don't have FaceTime.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
All right. What were you doing tonight during the game, Adam?

Speaker 25 (56:23):
Just eating wings?

Speaker 28 (56:26):
Watching the game?

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Love it?

Speaker 3 (56:28):
Any beers involved here.

Speaker 12 (56:32):
One or two?

Speaker 5 (56:35):
Hey, no one's counting tonight, but give.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
Us one more woo hoo on the way out?

Speaker 1 (56:41):
Who all right? See you later, Adam. Enjoy this. That's wow.
We're gonna get to Pat Murphy, I am. I can't
guarantee it, but I would love to hear it. There's
some infrastructure stuff that still has to come through, but
I would love to hear Craig counsel.

Speaker 3 (57:04):
Aecond.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
Do you know? Do you know if that's gonna happen yet,
fight Bomb.

Speaker 5 (57:07):
I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I would imagine
that chances are highly likely.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
Yes, we will have Greg. I'm gonna guess yes, because
we need to hear that, and we'll get to Pat
Murphy Hunter bombguard at American Family Field as well.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
Brewers take care of business today.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
They're headed to the NLCS after a decisive Game five
victory three to one to send the Cubs into their
off season. Again, there's jeff Orlowski, the Polish by Bomb.
Tim Allen, glad you found us over here on Fox
Sports nine to twenty postgame show with Potawatomi Sportsbook here
after a Brewer's victory to send the season into the NLCS.

(57:50):
What a special night tonight as the Brewers are headed
to the NLCS and we are talking about it postgame
show with Potawatomi Sportsbook. Bet above the rest, Tim Allen,
jeff Orlaski a three to one win to send the
Cubs packing and welcome the Dodgers to American Family Field.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
For Game one.

Speaker 1 (58:09):
That time has yet to be announced, but it will
be on Monday night. As the Brewers four wins away
from a World Series appearance. Just think about this, what
the journey has taken us through thus far, and we
get to continue this. I mean that whole torpedo bat

(58:32):
thing to start things out, and all the injuries and
you know, really can't get out of their way a
little bit, and they're a sub five hundred team, and
hang on, hang on, you're swerving all over the road here.
Just at least get it right. Get to five games
over five hundred? Get to ten games? Can we get
to ten?

Speaker 3 (58:51):
Twelve?

Speaker 1 (58:52):
Can we get to fifteen? Fifteen games over? Do I
have a seventeen over here? Got a seventeen over here?
Do I get a nineteen nineteen's right there? Do I
get twenty twenty? Can we go twenty five? Five over
five hundred? There's the twenty five over five? Can you
get to thirty thirty? There's the thirty and then fourteen
game winning streak to set a franchise mar All Star

(59:15):
appearances for three Brewers pitchers, including a rookie Jacob Mizerowski,
and today's opener or starter, Trevor McGill and of course
Freddy peralta reset. After the Brewers get the buy, they
take on the Cubs. They go up two to two
to two, back to Milwaukee for five. They win it

(59:38):
tonight three to one and into the NLCS. What a
story in the year of Uke. All right, let's get
a call in here, you guys on hold, sit right there,
We will get to you. We have some staffers there
at American Family Field with some guests standing by.

Speaker 3 (59:55):
There's a Tim and a Jeff on hold imagine that.

Speaker 6 (59:59):
Yeah, what is this?

Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
Tim's wild? We've had like twelve of them tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
So it's four four Tims to one Jeff, Okay, you
need to catch up any Jeff's out there, four one,
four seven.

Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
On the Nicola Law dot.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
Com talk line, we have a Michael right here, Michael
three to one, and the Brewers head to the NLCS.

Speaker 32 (01:00:23):
Hey, no Cubs, No, no Cubs, no Chicago. What do
you say, craigy Traders going home two days?

Speaker 33 (01:00:33):
No club, no no, And especially that saxophone dude that
was outside American Family Field by the fingerslot playing the
Cubs song.

Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
Yeah I You know when I when I got a report.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Of that I had, I would have just taken off
my sweatshirt and put it right in that sax hole.

Speaker 32 (01:00:56):
I love to hear, guys, this this win is so huge.
I couldn't fathom what it would have meant to have
lost to the Cubs, but hey, we got it done.
I wasn't initially the biggest fan of the Trevor McGill
starting move, but as soon as I heard that Pat
Murphy was in a room with Matt Arnold and they
said he's the guy that started the power of friendship,

(01:01:16):
my whole vibe shifted. That he started that whole locker
room feel. There's no one better. I'd almost argue you
could have let him go out another inning, but then Mizzerowski,
I think that outing could go down as what transcends
his entire career. The fact that he can build up
that confidence off of this and build on from that,
then maybe the turning point in his entire career. And

(01:01:37):
I think the biggest point of this game that I
don't know if you guys have really talked about as much,
The biggest moment was right after Contreras ripped that line
drive double play. Ashby put the first two guys on,
but he struck out Kyle Pucker. I know he wasn't sharp,
but I think that strikeout of Kyle Pucker and then
Chad Patrick coming in closing it out, that's where the

(01:01:58):
whole game changed.

Speaker 12 (01:01:59):
That was the moment.

Speaker 32 (01:02:00):
It's all about that in the pool season, and that's
when it got done.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
I think right there, agreed, he had two on, nobody
out and he was down three to one to Tucker
and came back to get him.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
I thought that was pivotal.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Yeah, it was. And you know when when mcgil got
to fly out to freelick off the bat of Michael Bush.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
I went absolutely crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
I mean, my goodness, you ain't gonna do it again, Bush,
uh huh. And that's why Murph started him. He wanted
none of that first inning nonsense. It was crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
All right, we gotta we gotta move Michael, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
I love the song there too. Also tuned in daughter
in law Bree Brandon, Dana Michael All tuned in Everybody's
catching Brewers Fever.

Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
Kb Arman, Dave Michaels. Yeah, getting uh, you know, text
from everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
Man, little catchy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
I mean, the things are going to don't wear a
mask because you want to catch Brewers fever right now.

Speaker 5 (01:02:59):
Steve Zachy, all of them.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
Yeah, all right, let's go back to American Family Field. Okay,
we're gonna do that now. Okay, A Hunter is standing
by with a special guest.

Speaker 34 (01:03:12):
Here with Caleb Durwan. Caleb, congratulations. First of all, what's
this experience like? Obviously you experienced the clinch celebration with
the Division. This is you know, another step with the
with the playoff series win.

Speaker 5 (01:03:22):
Yeah, we're just talking about it.

Speaker 35 (01:03:23):
The clinch in the Division was fun, but this is
something else. Man, I'm just brinding that series out against
a really good cuff seam Division rival.

Speaker 5 (01:03:31):
A lot of fun.

Speaker 34 (01:03:33):
Absolutely, As Aaron Ashby slaps him on the back here, Caleb,
you you seem you know, you had the couple defensive
plays that came your way.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
You know it.

Speaker 34 (01:03:42):
It just seems like no matter the situation, you're you're
ready for it. What what just has allowed you to
do that throughout this your first ever postseason series in
the big leagues? What has allowed you to just stay
in the moment, stay where your feet are.

Speaker 35 (01:03:53):
Yeah, I mean there's gonna be nerves, that's all a
part of it, but like you said, staying in the moment,
not making it too big, just pitch by pitch, you know,
worried about, you know, the pitch that's coming, whether it's
at the player, especially on defense, wanting to hold it
down there because that's big in the postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
Just living pitch by pitch.

Speaker 34 (01:04:12):
Was anything different going into a winner and take all
game or was it just the momentum, you know, or
just the you know, just come out be the resilient
bunch you always have been.

Speaker 35 (01:04:19):
Yeah, honestly, there's there's obviously pressure, but it felt like
we were just out playing. We felt free today, put together,
you know, really good ball on all three facets, and
I think we were just able to play free today.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
Absolutely.

Speaker 34 (01:04:33):
How about your fellow rookies there, miss Rowski and Patrick
on the mound.

Speaker 5 (01:04:37):
That's awesome.

Speaker 35 (01:04:37):
I'm so proud of them just going through a rookie
season together. Man, It's it's been awesome seeing their journey, Misshoved,
Chat Shoved. It's just a lot of fun to play
behind those guys.

Speaker 15 (01:04:48):
How about the crowd?

Speaker 35 (01:04:50):
Crowd is everything you saw it, You saw how big
it was, you saw it regally, how electric that was
for them, and you know, I think that made a
big difference in the series.

Speaker 6 (01:04:59):
Thanks Cale, appreciate congratulations, Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
All right there he is Hunter Bomguard at American Family
Field with Caleb Durwin, part of the victorious Milwaukee Brewers
here in this game five nlds. That's just a part
of the twenty twenty five Championship season. Let's get back
to you guys at four one, four seven, nine to
nine one nine. And also, by the way, uh, Ryan McIntyre,

(01:05:28):
he is tuned in and the text I can't read
his text to me on the air because and I'm
with you, man, I answered back in the same sort
of exclative. Uh. But yeah, we're celebrating the Brewers victory.
You might want to when you see Ryan McIntyre and
his name at some of these entertainment venues, check him out.

(01:05:48):
Good dude and a good musician, super super good great.

Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
On both great dude, great musician and a gargantuan Brewers fan.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
Ryan and tire check it out. I'm sure he's all
over the socials, Facebook and all that. Speaking of Facebook,
we can stay in tune throughout this twenty five Championship
season and the off season with our Facebook group page
at Postgamers with Tim Allen. Post Gamers with Tim Allen
on Facebook. Give it a follow and we'll keep you

(01:06:21):
updated on everything Brewers. Let's get back to you guys.
Let's go to Jeff, not you, Jeff or Lasky. This Jeff, Jeff,
you're on the air here.

Speaker 11 (01:06:34):
What a day to be alive? Baby?

Speaker 9 (01:06:37):
Oh you so good?

Speaker 20 (01:06:40):
Oh you know what?

Speaker 36 (01:06:42):
Is there a more miserable fan base and wants to
taunt you more than the Cubs. I just feel so good.
Watch them rat scurry back to that hole they crawled
out of.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
I love it. I love it. You know, it's like
seeing them leave American Family Field. Just wow, that is awesome.

Speaker 20 (01:07:05):
It feels so good, you know what.

Speaker 36 (01:07:07):
That's why they play the one sixty two so we
can get the game five back here in Milwaukee. And
that's why we can play our young guys, our rookies
like Chad Patrick and Misarowski, so I don't have to
deal with that Chicago fan base. It's just a just
a huge plus on our side today.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Oh it's big time, all right, Jeff, Thank you and
enjoy this. Celebrate man. Let's go to Tim. We go
Jeff and Tim. Tim, you're on Fox Sports nine to twenty.

Speaker 29 (01:07:35):
Hey, first of all, tip of the cap to the
whole Brewers organization. Tip of the cap to you guys.
I mean, this season has just been phenomenal and every
you know, the switch after the last pitch has just
been just amazing. I just can't believe that we are
now in this position to be able to have the

(01:07:58):
chance to be able to go to the World Series
play against the Dodgers, you know, the David against Goliath,
and we're all going.

Speaker 11 (01:08:07):
To be in on this.

Speaker 29 (01:08:08):
And the best part is we get these games and
then we get this show after these games. I'm just
at a loss for words because I was on pins
and needles every single pitch tonight and it was just phenomenal.
It's just phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
I am surprised I even have a voice today, and
I know a lot of people don't, especially those that
went to the ballgame, but even ones that didn't. I mean,
it doesn't get more passionate than this right here, right now.

Speaker 29 (01:08:42):
No, because it's a culmination of twenty years, Tim, it's
a culmination of since eighty two.

Speaker 11 (01:08:48):
It's just a culmination of.

Speaker 29 (01:08:49):
Everything and when all this comes together. This magic does
not happen often, and there's a reason behind it. There's
just a reason behind it. And I loved when Gil
hopped off the mound and he looked into the dog
and he said, he screened into the dugout lets.

Speaker 14 (01:09:08):
F thing do this?

Speaker 29 (01:09:09):
Boys, I mean, come on, you just.

Speaker 9 (01:09:13):
Can't beat that.

Speaker 29 (01:09:14):
And it's pure energy at its best.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Absolutely all right, Timmy, thanks for the call.

Speaker 9 (01:09:19):
Listen, thanks so much.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
Yep, you got it. It is almost as if, and
again I don't want to overdramatize it, but when you
think about it, the Brewers didn't win a postseason. Now,
this has been a great run seven of eight years
into the postseason, five division titles, including three in a row,

(01:09:44):
including the best record in all of baseball this season.
As part of this eight year run, you didn't win
a playoff series in twenty four, twenty three, twenty one,
twenty or nineteen. It is almost as if this run

(01:10:04):
here was on trial tonight. Yeah, kind of, And thank
goodness the gavel Fell Cubs, you're guilty. Go to jail,
Go to off season jail.

Speaker 6 (01:10:20):
Oh they're there.

Speaker 5 (01:10:20):
They're going to be living there and hopefully miserable. For
many many months to come.

Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
But again, pipe on if they don't win this game,
and again, you know, it's still has been a lot
of fun through these eight years and seven as I said,
set it all up there, the division titles and the
playoff appearances. But it would seem it seemed to me like, gosh,
you lose this game and there goes another year. You

(01:10:46):
can't win a playoff series?

Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
Now what have we heard this year?

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Quite often throughout the season, throughout the one hundred and
fifty plus shows that we've done, right, we've heard, Look,
I'm not gonna fall buy in until they win, finally
win a playoff series. Yeah, well they did that, everybody in,
everybody on the door's open.

Speaker 5 (01:11:09):
Yeah. I think you sat there and you took the
butt away from a lot of people. Yes, they had
the best record in baseball, but and so I think
the fact that they won this series again, especially against
those idiots, takes the butt away from some of them.
Will it take it away from all of them?

Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
No, unless they win.

Speaker 5 (01:11:30):
The eighth game that they need here, But it's you know,
I'm just glad that there's no asterisk now over. Yeah,
they were a great regular season team, however, yea, you know,
there's none of that. Junket puts that to bed. Now
let's go kick some Dodger ass.

Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
Yep big time and it's gonna be challenging, and we'll
get into that as we get a little bit closer
to Monday night. But all right, let's go back to
American Family Field. Our own Doug Russell is standing by
with the architect of this Brewers team this year and
the and the past couple of seasons with Brewers GM

(01:12:08):
Matt Arnold.

Speaker 37 (01:12:09):
I'm not gonna ask the stupid question and ask do
these ever get old?

Speaker 10 (01:12:13):
But no chance.

Speaker 38 (01:12:16):
No, It's just this is as good as gets, you
know what I mean. I mean, it's like, you work
so hard for this, and I think in the moment's honestly,
when we work so hard for this and then it's
just terrifying for three hours, you know, because it's out
of our hands, you know, and at least in my spot.
But man, these guys just continue to step up. I'm
so proud of them.

Speaker 37 (01:12:32):
Every offseason it seems as though this team is counted
out by someone.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
How do you go into every single spring training.

Speaker 37 (01:12:40):
Knowing that this is the goal you still have some
more goals to me, but you can do it.

Speaker 38 (01:12:44):
Yeah, that's it's we gotta we gotta find a way.
You know, We're never gonna make an excuse. It's just
it's it's, uh, the hand we're delt and we're gonna
We're gonna do what he can to win a championship.

Speaker 10 (01:12:53):
That's what we're about. And we want to do this
for Bob, Yougord.

Speaker 37 (01:12:55):
So how did Bob and kind of his legacy kind
of shape this?

Speaker 38 (01:13:00):
I mean even during the game, I'm looking up at
his number ups up there with a microphone, I mean,
where he's at in the rafters, Like I just looked
through the heavens and I'm like, wow, we need you.

Speaker 10 (01:13:09):
That was a lot still more to do, so group,
no doubt we have more to do, but man, this
is this is awesome.

Speaker 20 (01:13:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
There there he is Doug Russell, Matt Arnold and celebrating
inside the clubhouse at American Family Field. You notice Matt
Arnold said three hours.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
He was it was terrifying.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
Oh yeah, oh my goodness, I was just twisting.

Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
I thought it was the.

Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
Broccoli cheddar soup that I had because that sometimes gets
to my bowels a little bit.

Speaker 6 (01:13:41):
I don't know what you're talking.

Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
It probably was that and this Brewer Cup matchup.

Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
My goodness, thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:50):
Hey, hey, I'm just glad that you Uh, that's good.
Soup man, broccoli chatter hate soup.

Speaker 6 (01:13:55):
Oh that's my favorite. That in French onion.

Speaker 3 (01:13:58):
But they got to stop putting of stocks in there.

Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Of the broccoli.

Speaker 6 (01:14:02):
Yeah, yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (01:14:04):
Give more flower in there.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
All right, let's get to a call, a couple of
calls here, Ryan, you're next Fox Sports nine to twenty
postgame show with Potawatomy Sportsbook and the Brewers headed to
the NLCS.

Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (01:14:18):
Ryan?

Speaker 18 (01:14:19):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (01:14:19):
Man, Timmy, that is how sweet it is.

Speaker 23 (01:14:23):
Man's gotta be one of the greatest feelings I've ever had.

Speaker 27 (01:14:27):
I had the privilege to be there.

Speaker 39 (01:14:31):
I gotta ask you a few questions and I'll go
on on my tangent, but you know, my first question
to you, Ampipe, do you guys actually believe in the
baseball gods? Like, do you actually think there's people up
there pulling strings?

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
I do, I do, and I call them.

Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
I think the movie had the baseball cosmic tumblers click
in the place, and I do believe there's something too that, like,
I think the baseball gods still oh Contreras a little something,
and he's gonna use it on Monday night because that
line drive, I thought that was gonna change the game,
but that those things tend to even out, so and

(01:15:07):
then the Yuker magic here going on. I'm there there
might be something to that. Ryan, I agree with you.

Speaker 20 (01:15:14):
That was.

Speaker 39 (01:15:16):
Yeah, that was so cool to hear Arnold say that,
man like. It's so it's so refreshing to hear Arnold
talk like a fan and just be like man, man,
those three hours were terrifying, and he's he's talking like us, man,
like he actually cares about the outcome and he has
no you know, he has no influence on it for
those three hours, and and he's just praying up to Yuke.
And man, how many times this week have we pointed

(01:15:37):
up and just prayed to Yuke? And I've literally dropped
on my knees praying to Yuke, which is such a
on paper, it's so silly. And the reason I ask
is like, I just think the baseball God's got us
many They really did tonight, Like you know, my feelings
on council.

Speaker 20 (01:15:54):
He took the.

Speaker 11 (01:15:54):
Money and ran and you.

Speaker 20 (01:15:56):
Know, good luck, brother, but God, we got right.

Speaker 39 (01:15:59):
To night and and this one was for you. And
if you don't think this was personal to these Brewers, man,
why else would Contreis and your rebate do that phone celebration.
I know, you know, maybe you guys have made little
about it, but I really feel like that was personal
the council.

Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
No, well, I you know, I don't know, but but
where can connect the dots form? We had heard that before,
but I I forgot how that was connected to council
the like just because someone else called and he left,
would that be the thing? Because I think it was
the bullpens bullpen call, Yeah, the bullpen call on the

(01:16:40):
on the turn and pivot after the three run Homer, yep.

Speaker 39 (01:16:44):
And maybe it's a stretch, you know whatever.

Speaker 20 (01:16:46):
But at the end of the day, I I will
stand by and I.

Speaker 39 (01:16:49):
Think it was personal to these guys, personal to Jackson Curio.
That council left and and he chose Pa over you
and and all these guys.

Speaker 26 (01:16:57):
Man, it was It's poetic. This is why we watch
one sixty.

Speaker 39 (01:17:02):
Two and why we lift all them heavyweights.

Speaker 27 (01:17:04):
And man, it was worth it.

Speaker 20 (01:17:06):
Brother.

Speaker 21 (01:17:07):
We're going to the series.

Speaker 39 (01:17:09):
Brother, God, bless you go Brewers.

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
All right, thank you Ryan, Yeah, good stuff. Let's go
to Ron Ron You're next year on the postgame show.

Speaker 12 (01:17:18):
Hey guys, what tonight?

Speaker 6 (01:17:20):
Yes, sir, you got that right.

Speaker 40 (01:17:22):
You know.

Speaker 12 (01:17:23):
I didn't watch a minute of that game. I couldn't,
I was. I listened to it on the radio.

Speaker 9 (01:17:28):
I listened to it on the radio, was out in
the garage.

Speaker 12 (01:17:30):
And I'm still in the garage working on one of
these freaking trucks up to my wables in Greece. But
you know, I'm happy for you guys. You guys, you
guys got a lilt in your voice tonight. That's just unbelievable.
I'm go guys. You guys have created a movement, and
thank you. Uh you bring a lot, a lot of

(01:17:53):
happiness to me and my family. And yeah, I can't
afford to go to any of these coming games, but
damn it, I'm glad. I'm glad they're here. I you know,
I listened to the first Brewers game ever on a
transition radio. We snuck into my Catholic school and we
got in trouble for it. And you know, Bob you here,

(01:18:15):
You know, I went to school with his kids. And stuff,
and it's a game that he's not physically here to
see this.

Speaker 27 (01:18:23):
Yeah, yeah, I am just so thrilled.

Speaker 12 (01:18:27):
I'm going to find a way to get to at
least one of these upcoming games.

Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
But it's it's tough, though, Ron, And that's that's why
we appreciate the compliments there too. We're super lucky that
well I can speak on my behalf that I happen
to be a hardcore, passionate Brewers fan and they allow
me and I happen to be in the broadcast industry,
and the stars lined up that I could do a
show like this. It's like, Wow, that's cool. But I

(01:18:53):
always bring up when when it comes to selling tickets.
I always pres us that by saying, I don't know
what kind of economic situation everybody's at because we're we're
all not the same, and some people can just have
a whim go to a ball game, and guys like
you that you're not alone that man, it can get

(01:19:13):
a little pricey, especially for the postseason games.

Speaker 20 (01:19:16):
Ron.

Speaker 12 (01:19:17):
Oh yeah, they're all they're told AU already. For we
were checking, my son and I were checking, you know,
and the price is holy smokes, you know, it's a shame.
You know, we go, you go to twenty thirty games
during during the year, and then when it comes down
the crunch time, you can't go.

Speaker 1 (01:19:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (01:19:35):
Yeah, well I get it. You know, they got it.
They got to make their money.

Speaker 5 (01:19:38):
Well, the beer is cheaper at your palacial estates in
the bathroom's closer as.

Speaker 12 (01:19:42):
Well, thank god. Yeah, I did have a couple of
mumblers and the tumblers tonight out here.

Speaker 15 (01:19:50):
In the garage, and there you get.

Speaker 12 (01:19:53):
Yeah, I'm enjoying work. I'm working on my other trucks now,
I got my project. When done, I'm working all right.

Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
Well, Ron, thank you for the compliments, and uh yeah
we'll talk again.

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
NLCS is coming. Yeah, sure, the man, all right, take
take it easy. We end up pipe bomb.

Speaker 1 (01:20:15):
I've noticed this. We end up in a lot of
garages at night. Yeah, and a lot of showers in
the morning.

Speaker 5 (01:20:23):
Yeah. I don't know if that says something about us
personally or what, but yeah, you know, it didn't sound
like Ron's garages as smokey as most of the garages
that we end up shing true, But but yeah, no, man,
good stuff, and yeah, we we like your garages. Timmy
likes being in the shower with you. It works out great.

Speaker 1 (01:20:43):
Yeah, well, I just because you go to go to
bed with us at night doesn't mean you have to
wake up with us. So aim in.

Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
Yeah, well we'll.

Speaker 1 (01:20:52):
Take a break here. Still to come, Pat Murphy, still
to come. We'll talk to Hunter who was in that celebration.
Doug Rush was down there to half the staff down
in into the clubhouse and the celebration at American Family Field.
And we're hoping to get to Craig Council shortly too.

Speaker 6 (01:21:11):
I've got his sound.

Speaker 1 (01:21:13):
Oh we do ye, all right, I have got to
hear that. Well, some people may not want to hear it,
so I understand. But this is completely selfish on my part.

Speaker 5 (01:21:27):
That's all good timmy.

Speaker 10 (01:21:28):
It's allowed.

Speaker 5 (01:21:29):
It's allowed.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
It's our show, and damn it, we're gonna do that
just for once, Yes, sir, all right, we'll take a break.
We'll still take some reaction as well. And then Nikolaylaw
dot Com talk line at four one four seven. Brewers
beat the Cubs Game five NLDS. They're into the NLCS.
The Championship Series begins on Monday, and their quest to

(01:21:53):
go to the World Series. Here in the twenty twenty
five championship season, and we're talking about it as always.
There's jeff Orlowski, Tim Allen postgame show with Potawatamy Sportsbook
on Fox Sports nine. You know, I'm not sure that
it's fully settled in yet for me.

Speaker 6 (01:22:12):
Oh no, it's gonna take a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:22:14):
I think. So the Brewers are headed to the NLCS
here in the twenty twenty five championship season. Welcome Back
postgame show with Potawatamy Sportsbook here on Fox Sports nine twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
I'm glad you found us.

Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
There's jeff Orlowski, Tim Allen, and we're gonna get to
Craig Counsel. We'll get to Pat Murphy, a hunter who's
been writing the melee down there. And also I believe
Doug Russell is lining up a special guest as well.
We'll get to a call before that as we await,
and then the rest of you guys on hold, We
will get to you. But let's let's get Corey and

(01:22:50):
here Brewers take care of the Cubs and they're headed
to the NLCS.

Speaker 27 (01:22:53):
Corey, Hey, so I'm doing a call we used to
call about five years ago.

Speaker 30 (01:23:01):
We were up in the Claire area from the Barn's
that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:23:07):
I know you guys, absolutely, yes, you know what.

Speaker 10 (01:23:11):
Tim.

Speaker 27 (01:23:11):
We used to call every single week. And so I
have two questions for you. So the first question is
who is your top three most hated cubs of all time?
And also number two? How many cigarettes?

Speaker 11 (01:23:24):
Has uh?

Speaker 27 (01:23:25):
The old Polish Fike bomb?

Speaker 1 (01:23:29):
Many? On the second question, yes, very many. Soriano would
be Alfonso Soriano would be up there. Zambrano definitely would
be up there. And and I gotta say, now it's
it's Craig Counsel.

Speaker 9 (01:23:47):
Yes, hey, I totally love that.

Speaker 27 (01:23:50):
But how do you not throw CPA in there? I
cannot stand him.

Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
Yeah, I think longevity, that he's climbing the charts. Yes, indeed,
he's a drama queen.

Speaker 15 (01:24:01):
He is.

Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
He's looking for attention. He's such a fierce competitor. Now
I'll give him that. You know, I don't want to
down him. He's in the big leagues, had huge success
this first half of the season, came back down to earth,
really struggled, had a little pressure on him, and you
know he thought, now you remember earlier back this season
he was just launching home runs at American Family Field,

(01:24:24):
I think he hit three or something in one series,
but now he's pressing a little bit, and he thought
it was going to be that easy. Brewers adjusted to
him as well as the league, but yes, he probably
is going to be up there as well.

Speaker 27 (01:24:38):
Well, hey, I appreciate you guys taking her call tonight,
and hey, we're always hear up the barn and anytime
you come up north towards De Claire area, remember a
Burley and Bucks.

Speaker 24 (01:24:49):
Bar got it?

Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
Deal deal?

Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
All right, Thank you, Corey. Tell everyone we said we
said hello.

Speaker 1 (01:24:56):
All right. Doug Russell now is ready. He's standing by
with Brewers owner Marcott and Ossio market.

Speaker 37 (01:25:04):
Seems like we do this every year on the field
after one of these Champagne celebrations here at American Family Field.
What does it mean to you to have the consistency
that this organization has had over the last really almost.

Speaker 6 (01:25:16):
Deck well more than a decade.

Speaker 32 (01:25:17):
Now.

Speaker 41 (01:25:18):
Look, when I bought the team twenty one seasons ago,
I pledged that to be a sustainable winner. But you
know it got to the point where that really wasn't enough.
But we're all, you know, heartbroken last year obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
But daunted.

Speaker 41 (01:25:33):
You know, Murphy as the T shirt says undaunted. Well,
we were daunted because every year after twenty eighteen we
didn't advance to where we advanced tonight, and this.

Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
Was a key goal for us.

Speaker 41 (01:25:44):
And it's so special that this team was set a
record for.

Speaker 5 (01:25:47):
Wins the next team to get to the NCS.

Speaker 37 (01:25:50):
You look at the acquisitions that Matt Arnold made both
before the season and after the season, and you know,
I think the headlines after last year working or Devin
Williams has traded and Willie Domas.

Speaker 1 (01:26:02):
Leaves in free agency.

Speaker 37 (01:26:03):
Then you go out and win a couple more games
and get another round into the postseason with guys like
Andrew Vaughan and guys that are like Caleb.

Speaker 41 (01:26:10):
Derban and Joey Ortiz playing a standout short style, you know,
up to the defense up the middle with you know
William de Terris, Bryce and Joey, and you know all
the centerfielders. You know, Bret Blake Perkins tonight, you know
Bogue love Caliber, South Frielick.

Speaker 1 (01:26:26):
And right field.

Speaker 5 (01:26:26):
You kidding me, that guy doesn't he doesn't miss anything.

Speaker 1 (01:26:30):
Never seen anything like it.

Speaker 41 (01:26:32):
So it's uh yeah, but still, you know it comes
down to one game, and you know you look on
the broadcast tonight, he says, loser, go home.

Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
I'm like, but you had your lucky shoes on.

Speaker 24 (01:26:45):
Tell me about those.

Speaker 41 (01:26:47):
So these shoes I wore, I don't remember if I
wore them in eight, but I knew I wore them
in eleven when we beat the Diamondbacks. Then they became
my lucky shoes. Twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, we lost in
the you know, to Washington. Schwager says, I retired to
them after that. And he might have been right, because

(01:27:07):
I didn't think we've that's trip. They got retired in
twenty nineteen or twenty twenty one. They're all glued on
the bottom. But I thought tonight because we had to
break the you know, break back through to the NLCS.
Last time we were in NLDS, we won Game five
in the shoes, so.

Speaker 9 (01:27:23):
I put them on.

Speaker 5 (01:27:23):
They're a little slippery, the rubber gets kind of warm.

Speaker 24 (01:27:27):
I was walking like this, you know, and you had short.

Speaker 41 (01:27:30):
Steps, and Samantha Ernest, my assistant, said, are you okay? Yeah,
I just don't want to slip and fall.

Speaker 37 (01:27:37):
You get a rematch with the Dodgers from twenty eighteen,
but he went six and oh against them this year.
Does it give you a trepidation or does that give
you confidence?

Speaker 41 (01:27:44):
I think we're really up for it. Look at the
sixth and o is that they got all their their
starters going, they figured out their bullpen. That is not
going to be the team we saw in July. But
I think it's the big hump for us to get
over tonight. And I know we're gonna bring it to you.
I know that there's a lot of confidence in there
about you know, getting to the next level.

Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
But they knew this was this was not an easy, you.

Speaker 6 (01:28:06):
Know, mountain to climb.

Speaker 41 (01:28:08):
And by the way, you go to Wrigley Field, those
fans are unbelievable down there. You know, our fans, you know,
we talk a lot about our fans were great. I mean,
look at talk about the home field advantage.

Speaker 6 (01:28:18):
We work all year to do it.

Speaker 41 (01:28:19):
One of the challenges we went down there is edwardly
feel crowd. They really brought their energy so great for baseball.
Two great teams in the Midwest. I told Tom Rickers,
you have two teams that everybody says the NL Central
is you know, easy pickings. Well, two are the four
best records I think in the National League are ours
less than the Cubs? Right, So great baseball and obviously

(01:28:41):
I'm glad the way this turned out.

Speaker 18 (01:28:42):
Last thing for you.

Speaker 37 (01:28:43):
How much sweeter is it to win here at American
Family Field?

Speaker 41 (01:28:47):
Well, yeah, there's no no place like home, right that
Wizard of Oz And I just kept telling myself today
because of course we wanted to win on the road
and not have the stress of the last two days.
By the way, the guys don't have it. I came
to there yesterday, they were like getting ready for another
game like that a Bryce churinger, You guys have any stress?

Speaker 24 (01:29:08):
It all with some as no, no, we're ready to go.

Speaker 41 (01:29:12):
And Yellish told me the same thing last night, so
I guess they were Ryce Bryce.

Speaker 24 (01:29:17):
Show he was ready to go.

Speaker 14 (01:29:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Interesting MLB Network headline, Thank you, Doug Russell grabbing Brewer's
owner Mark on an Ossio. There was Cubs don't make
the NLCS again for another year? You know nothing about
congratulations Brewers.

Speaker 5 (01:29:37):
Yeah yeah, yeah, Cubs eliminated in Game five. If not
made the NLCS since twenty seventy. You know, it's hard
for me to rag on MLB Network because they've done
such an amazing job pretty much the entire at least
second half of the season. Brewers have been all over it.
But yeah, that that headline there, Come on, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:29:58):
So they were passing around on the l flag in there.
Nobody wanted to touch it. Okay, Yeah, I wonder the
neighbor down the street, wonder what he's going to be flying.

Speaker 5 (01:30:12):
Oh, well, you know, I'm sure he's uh, he's in
a drunken stupor right now.

Speaker 6 (01:30:18):
He'll worry about that tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
He's got he's got the entire off season now to
figure that out.

Speaker 1 (01:30:25):
That's right. Craig Counsel. Craig Counsel coming up. We'll get
Tom in here before we hear from counts.

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
Tom.

Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
Welcome in n'l see us appearance here in the twenty
five championship season.

Speaker 9 (01:30:39):
Hey, that's great.

Speaker 42 (01:30:40):
Is Tom calling you from Cairo, Egypt?

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
Hello Tom, our friend Tom and Egypt. Nicely done.

Speaker 42 (01:30:47):
Yeah, My my son and his fiance been visiting me
and weeping. Me and my son is staying up all
night do the games and then spending our days doing
the site. Seeing my future and daughter in law who
I met for the first time because they just got engaged.
They she tried to figure us out. I told her,

(01:31:08):
I said, the pyramids are four thousand years old. They'll
be around four thousand years from now. But the championship
season is happening right now. Yes, So anyways, it's really exciting.
And I was really dreading if they lost last night,
because you know, it's beginning of the work week here

(01:31:28):
in Egypt. The work week is Sunday and Thursday, and
I looking for a rough day at the office. But
now I'm just going to be bouncing in trying and
watching the highlights on my computer and looking forward.

Speaker 9 (01:31:42):
To what comes next.

Speaker 42 (01:31:44):
And I got something to say to all my cub friends.
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
Hey, I want to.

Speaker 1 (01:31:51):
Ask you those pyramids there. You know, in the off season,
I tend to watch a bunch of politics TV. I
think everyone knows that, But I also watch that those shows.
You're to laugh at me, the ancient alien shows that
they say, well, yeah, the pyramids get built by did
they have help?

Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
What do you think, Tom, You're right there near them?

Speaker 20 (01:32:13):
Oh?

Speaker 42 (01:32:13):
I think I do not. I I would be very
impolitic for me to say aliens built, But no, they
were built by very smart, determined people. Who all were,
you know, committed to uh, committed to a project. And
I kind of feel it's like winning a world series.

(01:32:33):
You need a lot of lot of smart people committed
to a project so we can build that pyramid.

Speaker 1 (01:32:39):
Yeah, you go.

Speaker 5 (01:32:40):
Well, Tom, thank you so much for tuning in all
the way across the world there. And I'm so happy
that you were able to enjoy this moment with your boy.
That that had to make it even more special.

Speaker 42 (01:32:52):
And my future daughter in law, who's a lovely, lovely,
lovely woman who I met her for the I met
her for the first time.

Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
It was great, nice, excellent Tom. We'll talk again down
the stretch here.

Speaker 42 (01:33:02):
Okay, all right, I have a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:33:05):
Yep. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
The precision of those pyramids.

Speaker 5 (01:33:09):
I don't know, man, Okay, you're buying the ancient aliens.

Speaker 1 (01:33:14):
I don't know if I'm buying the ancient aliens, But
I mean, how do you get that precise with those things?

Speaker 5 (01:33:21):
Did they have laser levels and stuff like that back then?

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
Must have?

Speaker 1 (01:33:25):
Yeah? Maybe?

Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
Yeah, Okay, I've been looking forward to this.

Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
I've sort of fifty percent I know what he's going
to say, but the other fifty percent I'm looking forward
to we'll get to Pat Murphy here in just a
little bit, but we have to hear from your old
friend Craig Counsel, and here's what he had to say
after a Game five go home loss.

Speaker 30 (01:33:51):
All right, yeah, just first, just congratulations to the Brewers.
It's a very good baseball team and a team that
you know, that deserves and and earned their way.

Speaker 10 (01:34:07):
For the right to play for god the World Series.
So they that's a good baseball team.

Speaker 1 (01:34:13):
All right, we'll sort questions will start begging down the front.

Speaker 43 (01:34:18):
Craig, Just how did you describe the feelings, the conversations
after the game in the clubhouse and and just the
emotions you're feeling right now?

Speaker 10 (01:34:28):
Well, I mean it's it's I think. I mean, I'm disappointed.
I'm sad.

Speaker 30 (01:34:34):
I think, you know, I think this team did a
lot to honor the Chicago Cub uniform, and in the
big picture, that's that's how I feel. But i'm you know, like,
what did we do wrong tonight? That's kind of what
you got You're stuck on and why didn't why didn't
we get why couldn't we get anything going? You know,

(01:34:55):
So it's hard to get past that right now, to that.

Speaker 31 (01:35:01):
Third row.

Speaker 9 (01:35:07):
Craig.

Speaker 44 (01:35:07):
In general, it seemed like you guys didn't put a
lot of pressure on there. But then in the sixth inning,
it seemed like that seemed like the game you had
your key guys up with two men on and no
outs and couldn't get the big hit. It seemed like
that was the theme, not getting the big hit in
general this series.

Speaker 30 (01:35:24):
Yeah, I mean we had we had six base runners tonight,
so you know, if you take say, his homer and
then those two, that's you know, that's half of our
base runners. So that was the inning, and that was
the inning with the middle of the lineup up. You know,
I Ashby made a pretty darn good pitch three two
in a tucker, you know, right, it looked looked like

(01:35:45):
right down and away on the corners, nasty pitch. Say
I had a good at bad against Patrick for sure,
God good at bets all night. Say it did, and
then you know, then they're kind of got they got out,
they got out of it, essentially a chance to get
out of it.

Speaker 10 (01:36:02):
But that I agree. I mean, that's really the only
inning you could talk about.

Speaker 9 (01:36:05):
We didn't.

Speaker 30 (01:36:06):
We just didn't do much with you know, six base runners.
You know, you're gonna have to hit homers to have
to have any runs scoring and scenarios like that. So
they pitched very well. I mean they pitched. They pitched
super well, and we didn't. You know, the only the
only inning that we really disrupted, maybe the plan was,
was the sixth and they but they just the rest

(01:36:30):
of the game, they did a.

Speaker 10 (01:36:31):
Heck of a job.

Speaker 45 (01:36:33):
John second round, Craig kind of on you know, going
on that, Like if you look at the guys who
produced tonight, it was Nico say uh and Bush and
the rest of the lineup struggled. Do you I mean,
do you put that more on the pitching or do
you or is it some of the approaches and some
of the just kind of results that happened.

Speaker 30 (01:36:51):
Look, i mean, look we faced you know that this
team is loaded with very good pitching. It's it's it's
certainly a strength of the team. That's that's why they
won so many games. And you know the Miserowski, you know,
got through his four, got four innings and got twelve
outs for him and that you know, put the game

(01:37:13):
in pretty good order for him. I mean, they pitched well,
I mean they did.

Speaker 10 (01:37:17):
They pitched well.

Speaker 30 (01:37:19):
We took some good swings off your rebay just kind
of adam balls.

Speaker 43 (01:37:25):
They pitched well, Megan, from the pitching and pitching side
on your guys is then just how did you feel
like things unfolded in terms of, you know, laying out
how you wanted to use those guys and then conversely
just being so close with those two out solo home.

Speaker 10 (01:37:44):
Yeah, I mean in general, we pitched well.

Speaker 30 (01:37:48):
I think if you had told me we gave up
three runs going into the night, you probably have to say, yep,
that's we pitched well with kind of running a full
bullpen game.

Speaker 10 (01:37:56):
I would have been happy with that. You know, when
you give up the runs, you know you're you can
say what if? But you know, they they hit some pitches.

Speaker 30 (01:38:09):
Maybe Collins pitch that, Andrew Vaughan probably wanted that one back.
But Pamerance's pitch is pretty darn good pitch. And the
and the guys did did their job. I mean it
didn't really go necessarily the way that I thought it
was gonna go, But but the guy we did a
nice job and the guys piece it together.

Speaker 46 (01:38:26):
Steve in the second round, Craig might be might be
a little hard to consider this question already. But you know,
your two seasons in you improved by I think nine games,
but you haven't won the division. You haven't surmounted the Brewers.
Are you encouraged by are you pleased with the progress
the trajectory two years in?

Speaker 30 (01:38:52):
I mean, you know, we won ninety two games this year.
That's you'll take that every single year. I think every
every team would. The playoffs are a different animal. It's
it's it's it's completely different than the season, totally different.
So you know, ultimately the reason why you want to

(01:39:15):
win ninety two games is because you want to play
in a World Series and then win a World Series.
And we should have those expectations. We should have them
every year. That's that's why you want to say, win
ninety games, like, because you got a chance to win
the World Series.

Speaker 1 (01:39:29):
If you do that.

Speaker 30 (01:39:32):
When you don't do it, it's disappointing. But ninety two games,
winn ninety two games is not disappointing.

Speaker 10 (01:39:41):
CoP's a third row on the aisle.

Speaker 47 (01:39:44):
Obviously, both teams well acquainted with each other, both fan
bases well acquainted with each other. There's a lot of
momentum in Chicago when you guys were there a lot
of momentum here for Games one and two. How important
is home field advantage in this series? And what can
you say about both the crowds that Regally and the
crowds here.

Speaker 10 (01:40:04):
Yeah, I mean, I think, look, it's it's.

Speaker 30 (01:40:08):
Both both ways are fun, really, I mean, it's fun
going against the hostile crowd, and it's fun playing on
your own own crowd in front of your own crowd,
And you've got to kind of.

Speaker 10 (01:40:18):
Embrace both which are but they're different. Yeah, I mean,
I think.

Speaker 30 (01:40:26):
You know, you'd rather always have more games at home.
It doesn't the numbers don't necessarily say it's a huge advantage,
but but absolutely I wish, you know, to get home
field advantage is always one of the goals you have
in the season. Of course, skipping the first round is
one of the goals you have in the season. You know,

(01:40:47):
we gave ourselves a shot, and I think you know
that that part of it you'd kind of take every year,
give yourself a shot.

Speaker 48 (01:40:55):
Tonyreg you said early on that you think this team
did a lot to make the Chicago fan base proud
to where the Chicago Cubs uniform. I'm just curious what
kind of stood out to you about this team, either
in this series or this year in general.

Speaker 30 (01:41:13):
Well, I mean, I mean there's a lot you go
into it, but I think just the it's it's the
five games we played at Wrigley Field in the playoffs.
It kind of tells you what about that means so
much to it. And I think it meant so much
to the to our players to do that, to provide
that for our for our fans.

Speaker 10 (01:41:35):
And that's what you do. You honor the uniform, you
honor the place.

Speaker 30 (01:41:40):
That's like, not the results goal, but that's that's always
like what we're what our job is to do is
to do those two things.

Speaker 10 (01:41:50):
And we did that.

Speaker 4 (01:41:52):
We we.

Speaker 30 (01:41:54):
We didn't get it done today and that and that hurts. Man,
it doesn't feel good. But I think when you zoom
back a little bit, well, we did some good things
as well.

Speaker 1 (01:42:09):
Yeah, that hurts. I love hearing him say that. I
just love it.

Speaker 6 (01:42:15):
I thought he was gonna cry.

Speaker 3 (01:42:17):
I wish you would have I do too.

Speaker 1 (01:42:19):
It would have made me even happier, if that's possible. Also,
does it seem like to you that he can't put
together a sentence just fully?

Speaker 5 (01:42:30):
He does not have a good grasp of the English language.

Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
Well, here's what I think.

Speaker 1 (01:42:36):
When you're on the record in front of you know,
so many microphones, which I think I know something about.
You can tell when someone's trying to be careful right
when they're talking. And I do it too, but I
try to admit it when i'm doing it, so you'll
hear me oftentimes say oh, yeah, I better be careful

(01:42:59):
on this, right.

Speaker 3 (01:43:00):
You've heard me say that million times. Yes, but I
don't just stutter, and.

Speaker 1 (01:43:09):
It's just talk, Craig, Just talk, just talk, Just talk.
He's trying to be too careful, trying to say because
he knows he's on record. Just let it loose, man,
Let it loose, Craig, You'll be all right. Say what's
on your mind. Don't try and fix up a statement

(01:43:29):
that you think people are going to listen to and
think highly of you because you're saying it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:36):
Just talk.

Speaker 1 (01:43:38):
It's just so entertaining to hear him speak and we're with.
I mean, so he did say, hey, it's it's about
the uniform, right. He did say that when he was here,
not very often. And now it's too honor. I never
heard him say honor that Brewers uniform.

Speaker 3 (01:43:59):
If he said it, someone would have to show it
to me.

Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
Yeah, I remember him saying that, Oh I am Wisconsin,
you know, and all this kind of stuff, hiding behind
the fact that he was from Whitefish Bay. Why when criticism,
you know, to try to skirt criticism getting lobbed his way.

Speaker 1 (01:44:19):
But yeah, it.

Speaker 5 (01:44:22):
Was interesting.

Speaker 6 (01:44:23):
The funny thing is, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:44:24):
Dude, I still remember the first first time I hit
on on a microphone in the radio business, and oh my.

Speaker 1 (01:44:31):
God, was I awful.

Speaker 5 (01:44:33):
And I was awful for a long time. But with
the amount of pregame and postgame press conferences that Craig
has to do every single day for the majority of
the year for hit to still sound that bad, that's
I don't know if that's a talent in and of itself,
but if it is, he's got a lot of it.

Speaker 1 (01:44:55):
It's trying to be too careful. It just is. I mean,
I don't know how well to put it. Craig just talk,
man talk.

Speaker 10 (01:45:03):
And the season's over.

Speaker 5 (01:45:04):
What is he being careful for? You don't have to
worry about bulletin board material or any of that crap.

Speaker 6 (01:45:09):
You're going home for good.

Speaker 1 (01:45:11):
He's just intelligent, dude, There's no question about it. To
get to that level of where he's at, you have
to have a pretty pretty brilliant mind. But it's just
entertaining well, well, I mean, and then lipsmack and then
just thinking he's thinking about how he wants to craft

(01:45:32):
the sentence as to what he thinks people want to hear.

Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
I love it.

Speaker 15 (01:45:36):
I know me too, me too.

Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
Sorry for you, luck, buddy. I thought the question was
good in there.

Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
I think his name was Steve, and said, well, you
still haven't beat Essentially, you still haven't beaten the Brewers.

Speaker 3 (01:45:50):
Do you like the trajectory that you're.

Speaker 1 (01:45:52):
On through two years? Sorry, you're going home and the
Brewers are advancing to the nlcyes. We'll get to Pat
Murphy after the break here as the Brewers beat the
Cubs in a decisive game five three, won the final
in front of an electric American family field, and the

(01:46:13):
Brewers get to play on here in the twenty twenty
five Championship season postgame show with Pottawatamie Sportsbook here on
Fox Sports nine, to.

Speaker 40 (01:46:38):
Your rough seasons underway, You were over rated at PCA.

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
In Chicago.

Speaker 4 (01:46:49):
What do you say?

Speaker 2 (01:46:52):
Did you actually think you win this game? We're singing
the cups Colo Chicago, what do you say? We just
sent you home Tuday?

Speaker 49 (01:47:07):
The costblow love cost blow, Hey Chicago, what do you.

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
Say we just sent you home Tuesday?

Speaker 13 (01:47:16):

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Loose we got you can imagine you came to that
game of fun in traffic right on the way home
on the ninety four. Well, we prepared to play some more.

Speaker 49 (01:47:35):
We're saying the comflow, the costo, Hey Chicago, what do
you say we just sent you home Tuday? The costblow
the costco Hey Chicago, what do you say we just sent.

Speaker 1 (01:47:54):

Speaker 40 (01:47:55):
Console is left for all that dome Now it's going
on to watch him choke. It's clear to see we
got the better skin in the power of French.

Speaker 24 (01:48:13):
We're saying the co.

Speaker 2 (01:48:15):
Flow, the come flow, he Chicago.

Speaker 1 (01:48:20):
What do you say we just sent you home today?

Speaker 49 (01:48:24):
The co flow, the coff flow, hechicgo, what do.

Speaker 1 (01:48:30):
You say we just sent you home today?

Speaker 2 (01:48:34):

Speaker 49 (01:48:36):

Speaker 10 (01:48:40):
What do you say we just sent you go today?

Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
The comflow? Do colow Hachicago?

Speaker 28 (01:48:49):
What do you say?

Speaker 2 (01:48:51):
We just sent you hob dot com.

Speaker 4 (01:48:58):
For seven years is a long time to go between
playoff series victories. When you sit in this moment, you
see the streamers coming down from the rafters and forty
two thousand celebrating what you guys just accomplish. What does
this moment mean to you?

Speaker 50 (01:49:13):
And what was Yeah, Russ, I'm not as concerned about
how long it's been since they've won a playoff series.
They didn't have to play one this year because they
had the best record in baseball, so I don't know
if you count that, But to win this series the
way we did, I'm just grateful, you know, to be
honest with them, I'm just grateful for the guys we.

Speaker 10 (01:49:34):
Have in the room. They've been doubted all year.

Speaker 50 (01:49:38):
Everyone there's nobody predicting the Brewers playing the Dodgers in
the series. But yeah, I mean, I don't worry about
how many years it's been.

Speaker 1 (01:49:48):
I know this.

Speaker 50 (01:49:49):
We've been in contention every year i've been here, and
I'm just thankful for that, you know what I mean.
And starting in seventeen, I guess we've been at least
we've either been in the playoffs or a game away
since seventeen. And that says something about the ORG, says
something about the front office, the ownership, and you know,
the coaching staff, but most importantly understanding the type of

(01:50:11):
player at that has to play here. And we got
a bunch of them in there. That's pretty special.

Speaker 1 (01:50:17):
Good Jr. In the second round.

Speaker 15 (01:50:21):
All right, Murph?

Speaker 51 (01:50:24):
How closely did that mirror the map that you had
in your head for the pitchers? And were there changes
you made midstream? Because I don't know, did Nezarowski get
a fourth anying because he was doing so well every thing,
you know, anything along those lines.

Speaker 50 (01:50:34):
Yeah, that mis was gassed. I mean, that was I
would have loved to keep him in. You know, we
told him to empty the tank and that last inning
he was magnificent. McGill was magnificent getting it started, and
that really set the tone over the game, keeping it
close with those two guys. Hats off to McGill for
understanding what it took. He's coming off an injury, and
then and miss Rowski, who's had some some bumps in

(01:50:57):
the road here during his first year for him to
come back again in this same series and pitch so
well and to get four innings in. Then the Ashby
thing that it kind of went according to plan, not exactly,
but then we saw ash was a little bit not
as sharp as he could have been his fourth time

(01:51:18):
seeing him. And then Chad Patrick was maybe the play
of the game, player of the game because you just
you just don't expect him to be that good. Uh
pitch an inning plus and then uh yeah, Eree Bay
was first two winning save for him, I believe, but
he wasn't to be denied.

Speaker 46 (01:51:36):
To the second row on the left.

Speaker 51 (01:51:39):
If I was going to ask about the sixth inning
with the the the win the pitching went ad for
after giving up, you know, two guys on, the first
two runners get on, How did that?

Speaker 45 (01:51:49):
What did that show you?

Speaker 10 (01:51:50):
Getting the strikeout from Ashby?

Speaker 50 (01:51:53):
I mean, that's Ashes He's game man. This guy pitched
four of the five games. Am I right? He pitched
in four of the five game. Sames him and Chad
both they pitched four of the five games. And Ashby's willing,
he wants to face anybody anytime, and he's come so far.
You know, he's coming off major shoulder surgery for a
year ago. So anyway, when he had the first two

(01:52:15):
guys on, I'm like, ah, I knew Bush had turned
his ankle, and I knew that he probably wasn't gonna
steal third, but still, what's the best matchup. The pitching coaches,
Henderson and Hook they said, do it, Murph, go ahead
and do it. They led the way in this whole
pitching dynamic today. They're the ones that led the way.
They said, I wanted mis to go a little further,

(01:52:36):
and miss said, I don't know how much I have left,
but you know I could go one or two. And
they said, no, let's stop there. It's a good adding
for him. Let's go to Ashby in this part of
the order. And I followed that, and then they wanted
to go Chad Patrick. That was the key, and then
go your Reba two innings. So really got a lot
of help from them.

Speaker 1 (01:52:58):
We take one in the front.

Speaker 47 (01:53:01):
Bryce had struggled a little bit in the series at
the plate. How big was that home run? And what
does it say about him that he stayed the course?

Speaker 50 (01:53:08):
And just yeah, I mean we talked in between the bats.
You know, he was he was, you know, hit the
first ball one hundred and two, you know, and it
was just a little too high. He didn't feel like
he was swinging a good pitches. He didn't feel like
he got strikes to hit, and he was still swinging.
He was disappointed, so he was trying to see the
ball longer. You know, seeing the ball longer sometimes make

(01:53:29):
you not get out to the front zone, and you're
not going to hit a pitch like that.

Speaker 1 (01:53:33):
You're not gonna hit a homer.

Speaker 50 (01:53:34):
And we just talked about, Hey, Bryce, you're a great
hitter man. This is just a couple of games. You're
doing great. You're not getting results, but you're doing great.
Just keep swinging the bat. He's hit four or five
balls in this series really hard, and he just he
made a you know, a great move on a on
a pitch that he could get out in front and
crushed it.

Speaker 15 (01:53:55):
Russ.

Speaker 4 (01:53:56):
We talked before the game about you guys being in
this position last year. Obviously the result different this year.
What changed in your mind watching how everything played out
that was different this year outside of the result, And
what did those twenty six guys in the room proved.

Speaker 1 (01:54:10):
To each other?

Speaker 50 (01:54:11):
Yeah, I mean after last year that was the wildcard series,
we won the division wildcard series. Mets were hot, they
came back and beat us all right at the last inning.
They were shell shocked. We were all shell shocked. And
to see the room then and I just said, hey, guys,
somehow this is going to help us. And what I

(01:54:32):
think it did is galvanized the group. And how precious
you know, playing every out is how precious, staying relentless
is how precious.

Speaker 9 (01:54:41):
It is to believe.

Speaker 50 (01:54:43):
And then you know, we've been talking about Yuke all
year long and it may sound corny to some, but
if you lived it the way we did, you know,
Yuke's presence was here, and they didn't want to let
them down, you know, especially this series because being close rivals,
and you know, I got great respect for the Cubs,
believe me, great respect. That's that's it's been told many times.

(01:55:05):
But it was important to these guys because it's their rival,
you know, to to finish the job. So and they
know UK is smiling.

Speaker 1 (01:55:13):
We'll finish up with Jr.

Speaker 15 (01:55:15):
And then uh, Murph's just gotta go take a photo.

Speaker 1 (01:55:17):
H uh.

Speaker 51 (01:55:19):
So going back to uh to Miserowski, I wonder if
you just go back to the decision to put him
on the roster and the faith that you guys showed
in him, and if if that was a difficult decision
now that you've gotten two major bulk outings from him
in this postseason, and and also bouncing back from that
home run, because it reminds me of the Cubs out
earlier in the year, where he struggled and then.

Speaker 10 (01:55:37):
Really found something.

Speaker 51 (01:55:38):
You know, I guess I could see that as being
a danger point under some circumstances, but obviously not tonight.

Speaker 50 (01:55:43):
I think I think what what we did is we
certainly didn't baby him. You know, at the end of
the season, if you're following, we put him in a
basis loaded situation in Cincinnati and he gets a swinging bunt.

Speaker 1 (01:55:56):
And ends up being a hit.

Speaker 50 (01:55:57):
Then there's a walk and a walk and a hit
and a walk, and it's imploded. So instead of giving
him a soft landing, we made it tough on him.
I didn't spend a lot of time talking to him.
I didn't guarantee him anything about the postseason. I didn't
try to pump them up. I took another direction on that,
and I think he responded, and he really has proven
something to me that you know, sometimes you don't understand

(01:56:19):
guys when you first know him. Their personality is that
type of thing. And I think he just decided, like, hey, look,
I'm going to be the best version of myself for
the boys. And that's what our talk was today before
the game. It's about the boys. Find your focus. There's
a lot of distractions during this time. There's a lot
of there's the pit in our stomach that means something
special can happen, and you do it for the boys,

(01:56:40):
and I think is understood, like I owe these guys.

Speaker 1 (01:56:43):
I got to do it right all right. There he
is Pat Murphy after the Brewers NLDS victory here in
game five and they're headed to the NLCS.

Speaker 3 (01:56:54):
I like the Yucher stuff in there.

Speaker 1 (01:56:56):
No, no, no, Murph. It doesn't sound corny.

Speaker 5 (01:57:02):
It doesn't.

Speaker 6 (01:57:02):
And I do like at the end, you know, it's
for the boys.

Speaker 5 (01:57:06):
And you know, as much as uh, as much as
the fans have a connection with this team, the connection
inside that clubhouse that they have with each other. These
are the guys they've spent the last what ever since
February and so last eight months with more time with
them than with their families and everything like that, traveling

(01:57:29):
all across the country day in day out.

Speaker 6 (01:57:32):
So you know, yes, you know, as as strong as
the connection is between.

Speaker 5 (01:57:37):
Brewer Nation and the fan base with this team, they
have the same connection with each other inside that clubhouse.

Speaker 1 (01:57:43):
Tickets on sale tomorrow morning at ten am for the
NLCS Brewers and Dodgers Monday night game one. Love It,
Love It, can't wait for that?

Speaker 5 (01:57:57):
And free Oh I'm sorry, but forever everybody hitting me
up on a Twitter machine about the song the Cubs
Blow that is by our good friends the Crispy Brothers.
You can find them on Twitter at the Brothers at
Brothers Crispy.

Speaker 35 (01:58:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:58:15):
Good dudes, Yes, good good people, big, big Brewers fans.

Speaker 5 (01:58:20):
Huge, huge, and the nicest dudes in the world.

Speaker 6 (01:58:23):
Just yeah, those guys are.

Speaker 1 (01:58:25):
Awesome, good, good guys. All right, let's see. Yeah, So
tickets are going to go on sale at ten am tomorrow.
Let's get back in there American Family Field on Monday
and make it.

Speaker 3 (01:58:35):
A hell hole for the Dodgers.

Speaker 6 (01:58:37):
Aimen to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:58:38):
You know, I was thinking about. You know, there's best
of seven. It's a two three two format. You know,
when you talk about home field advantage, I think and
I again, worst case scenario. Make sure you win one
at home, one on the road. Yeah, that way you're

(01:59:02):
coming back home at the very least YEP. One at
home first two, make sure you win one in La
that's bare minimum. Prefer to go up again to Zip
and I think that is an absolute possibility. Dodgers are
going to run into a freight train in Milwaukee on Monday.

Speaker 6 (01:59:22):
Yeah they are.

Speaker 5 (01:59:24):
And you know, you could say that the Dodgers, you know,
got an extra day or two arrest because of when
Philadelphia puked down their leg and gave up that series.
And that's all fine and dandy, but man, the Brewers
after tonight, not only just picking up the win, which
is the most important part, but doing it against the Cubs,

(01:59:48):
they are going to be just riding high magic carpet ready.

Speaker 6 (01:59:52):
For Game one.

Speaker 5 (01:59:54):
Watch out, man, and hopefully you know, with the Brewers
launching three homers tonight, the powers coming and I expect
big things out of the offense here.

Speaker 1 (02:00:05):
Yeah, absolutely, And when those homers hit, I'd like to
see the Brewers get back to multiple runners on base
with one out instead of two outs.

Speaker 6 (02:00:14):
Yes, we're no outs.

Speaker 3 (02:00:16):
Get some things cooking.

Speaker 1 (02:00:17):
You saw a stolen base tonight from Durban, and so
just get something cooking here with the woodpecker scenario and
go from there. But we're gonna have Hunter Baumgart coming
up in just a little bit. But let's get in
the audio that came to us from American Family Field
with Christian Yelich.

Speaker 3 (02:00:36):
So here's Yelly after the Brewers.

Speaker 1 (02:00:38):
Moving on.

Speaker 15 (02:00:40):
Okay, we'll get started with Christian.

Speaker 1 (02:00:41):
Yelli's first question for Christian start with Russell here in
the second row.

Speaker 4 (02:00:48):
Christian, twenty eighteen was the last time the Brewers made
it to the NLCS. You were on that team. What
did it mean to get make this happen on your
home field? The streamers falling down and fill in that atmosphere?

Speaker 10 (02:01:00):
Yeah, I mean it was huge.

Speaker 52 (02:01:01):
It was unbelievable atmosphere to night, you know, the two
fan bases going back and forth and Game five in
this series, I feel like we had a feeling before
it started that, you know, we played each other so
close all season long that this series is probably gonna
go five and it was gonna be a lot of
ups and downs. And to credit to our guys for
sticking with it, being mentally tough and being able to

(02:01:22):
finish the job here and just a huge win for us.

Speaker 32 (02:01:26):
Growth from row.

Speaker 47 (02:01:28):
Hey, christ Jacob with two fantastic performances during this series.

Speaker 10 (02:01:34):
Game two and then I'm going tonight.

Speaker 47 (02:01:35):
What can you say about you know how he started
off so hot this year then kind of struggled a
little bit.

Speaker 10 (02:01:40):
Yeah, and the way he responded in the playoffs, it
was unbelievable.

Speaker 52 (02:01:43):
I mean, all the credit goes to him. You know,
this game is about persevering through the ups and the
downs and the adversity that you're gonna face, and you
know that was true for him.

Speaker 15 (02:01:53):
You know, he had a lot of ups and downs.

Speaker 52 (02:01:55):
He had a lot of highs, he had some low moments,
but we're definitely not winning this series. It was not
for him. He's pitched a ton of huge innings for
us and Game two and then tonight he was unbelievable
and really settled the game down and set the tone
for the rest of the guys out of the pen.
You know, Chad was huge coming in and getting a
bunch of big outs and then you know, your rehabate
for two at the end there was was awesome.

Speaker 10 (02:02:15):
So that's why you celebrate.

Speaker 52 (02:02:17):
You know, you celebrate with your teammates and your friends
that you've had to grind through the season with and
you know watch them take huge strides in their career.

Speaker 45 (02:02:24):
So it was really fun to be a part.

Speaker 4 (02:02:25):
Of Doctor Russell Christian, you guys got eliminated on this
field last year in an elimination game. A year later,
what do you think that experience in that wild caught
around against the Mets taught you guys to prepare for
this game tonight.

Speaker 52 (02:02:42):
Yeah, I mean, just go at it, you know, fearless.
You know we already you can't really lose them tough
for them we did last year, you know, so going
into the night like you just play with a bunch
of freedom. You know that you've got belief and trust
in your teammates that we're going to be able to
get the job done. And that's exactly what we're able
to do, you know. And this group's come together all season.

(02:03:04):
We've faced a lot of tough moments. We've battled through
our own fair share of diversity, and just a big
one for us tonight, a big one for the organization.

Speaker 10 (02:03:12):
For the fan base, for you know, everybody.

Speaker 52 (02:03:16):
You know, we really wanted to make sure that we
were able to deliver tonight and throughout this series. So
just just a great night overall, Jack, second round, Christian.

Speaker 51 (02:03:29):
After all the early action in the first inning, for
a lot of this series, to have Trevor come out
and put up a zero right away.

Speaker 46 (02:03:34):
And the emotion that he showed coming off the mount,
what does.

Speaker 22 (02:03:37):
That do for you guys?

Speaker 15 (02:03:37):
Setting the tone?

Speaker 10 (02:03:39):
That's awesome.

Speaker 52 (02:03:39):
You know, like you said, we just needed to settle
down in the game, and if we felt like before
the game, we were kind of talking about it, like
we can just get this game underway and we can
throw zero in the first inning, we can kind of
settle this thing down a little bit. We really like
our chances to go out there and be able to
execute and push a few across. And we were just
talking amongst ourselves tonight, like, hey, just play our game.

Speaker 10 (02:04:01):
We're going to execute.

Speaker 52 (02:04:02):
You know, Trev's gonna go out throw zero and then
you know we're gonna be off and running. And that's
kind of what happened.

Speaker 19 (02:04:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:04:09):
There he is Christian Yelich after the Brewers three to
one win in Game five to move on to the NLCS.
We'll get to Hunter Bombguard who is that American family
field throughout the day, night, and now early morning. Talk
to him coming up in just a bit. Celebrating a

(02:04:29):
Brewers victory over the Cubs. As the Brewers head to
the NLCS in a series victory. I will say this,
the Devin Williams thing from last year, huh when it
got to the ninth inning pipe bomb tonight, it never
crossed my mind.

Speaker 3 (02:04:46):
I never thought of it.

Speaker 1 (02:04:47):
Now had someone brought it up, you know, obviously I
would have said, oh, yeah, that's right. It just never
dawned on me. The Devin Williams thing. Up three to
one in the ninth inning, it was just come on, Abner,
get the out, get the out, just get one more out.

Speaker 3 (02:05:02):
Never never even thought about it.

Speaker 5 (02:05:04):
Well, you're lucky because I turned a bunch of hairs
gray on the top of my head. I don't remember much.
I definitely remember that that's one of those ones that
just won't go away, no matter how many gummies I eat.

Speaker 1 (02:05:17):
Well, hopefully that goes away. Kurt Hog had a nice
tweet out there that he said, the Michael Taylor catch
and the Trent Grisham booting the ball, and you know,
all of these things, Devin Williams, and you know that's
all behind them. Now they finally got a postseason series

(02:05:40):
victory for the first time since twenty eighteen. We'll talk
to a hunter on the other side here postgame show
with Potawatami Sportsbook Bet above the rest Here on Fox
Sports nine to twenty, final couple of minutes as we
celebrate a Brewer's Game five NLDS victory over the Chicago
Cubs and Brewers are headed to the NLCS Welcome Back

(02:06:03):
postgame show with Potawatomi Sportsbook Bet above the rest, Tim Allen,
jeff Orlowski and that Brewers three to one win was
just a load off the shoulders of everybody. It's almost
like just you get a free reset and then you
advance four.

Speaker 3 (02:06:22):
Victories from a World Series appearance, and we're talking about
it here.

Speaker 1 (02:06:28):
We'll give you details as to our Brewers programming, not
only here on Fox Sports nine twenty, but over on
the FM side ninety seven to three.

Speaker 20 (02:06:37):
The game.

Speaker 3 (02:06:38):
As we move a little bit closer.

Speaker 1 (02:06:41):
To Monday, it's game one Monday at American Family Field,
we'll bring in Hunter Bombguard, our Brewers insider and Hunter.

Speaker 3 (02:06:48):
Do we have a time yet? I don't believe so,
but you may have some inside.

Speaker 1 (02:06:53):
Scoop we do.

Speaker 15 (02:06:54):
It is seven eight pm sharp.

Speaker 3 (02:06:57):
Okay, same time as tonight game, and it is.

Speaker 1 (02:07:01):
Brewers and Dodgers. But in this one, wow, uh, this
was I heard Matt Arnold with Doug Russell. He said,
three for the three hours, it was terrifying. Now, I
mean I got passion, man, but I would say just
shy of it. For me, I was hanging every single

(02:07:22):
pitch on her.

Speaker 34 (02:07:24):
Oh yeah, I mean that was when I texted you
and and you responded with I think I'm about to
throw up. And that was about twenty minutes before the game. You,
I think were speaking for the entire fan base, because
I think it was it was, you know, how we
were all feeling. There was at one point Drew looked
at me and said, Hunter, Everything's gonna be okay.

Speaker 15 (02:07:43):
So I think I needed that.

Speaker 34 (02:07:44):
Reminder at one point as well tonight. But look, that
was you get to the end and like you said,
a weight off the shoulders, you know, all that angst
goes away. Of course, you're you know, it's gonna be
nervous for this next series, but there was so much
it felt like writing on this game tonight, with everything
involved with the rivalry, with with counsel, with you know,

(02:08:05):
trying to win a playoff series for the first time
since eighteen, and just trying to get over that hump,
and you know, having a too seriously like everything like that.
And this team, this pitching staff came to play tonight
to hold that lineup down like they did, for Miz
to rebound like he did. Obviously, Patrick continue to be amazing.
You Rebay a two inning save and McGill to start

(02:08:26):
at that, I think he set the tone. You talked
about setting the tone maybe on the offensive side, I
think he set the tone when it came to the
pitching side tonight for.

Speaker 15 (02:08:33):
The rest of that staff.

Speaker 34 (02:08:34):
And yeah, it is one of the most probably one
of the most satisfying, if not the most satisfying win.

Speaker 15 (02:08:43):
Of my Birger's lifetime.

Speaker 1 (02:08:44):
Yeah, yeah, no, And I think it's up there in
one of the biggest wins in franchise history. Hunter, I do.
And when you look at you know, there's there's some
been some decisive victories, There's no question about it, eighty
two to get that, you know, Game five win, and
the Alcs against the Angels that put them into the

(02:09:06):
World Series, and of course the Niger Morgan, and you
know there's there's been some big, big wins. Mike Mustakis,
this is this ranks up there. And one of the
reasons why I say it ranks up there, Hunter is
that it didn't turn the tide for the Cubs quite yet.
And I say yet, because you never know what's gonna

(02:09:27):
happen down the line. The Cubs are still looking up
at the Brewers, they're looking up at a division winner.
They're now looking up at a playoff series loss to
that team. And I just didn't want that tide to
turn here and it didn't tonight.

Speaker 15 (02:09:44):
No, And Tim, I'll give you credit.

Speaker 34 (02:09:46):
You've been saying that the Brewers are the better team
all along, and they showed it in this series. You
can talk about how they lost in games three and four,
but they were base it away from probably winning Game
three Game four.

Speaker 15 (02:09:57):
They just had a bad night, simple as that.

Speaker 34 (02:10:00):
So I think really give you credit there because they
really were and they were throughout the regular season. And
to be honest, I said this to someone tonight, I
kind of think this series or tonight's game.

Speaker 15 (02:10:13):
Was won in the regular season.

Speaker 34 (02:10:15):
And I not that you know that we didn't have
amazing you know, just performances tonight by the Brewers pitching
staff and everything like that, but to have this.

Speaker 15 (02:10:24):
Game at home was so significant. You win the division,
that's why you have it at home.

Speaker 34 (02:10:29):
Right, That's why home field advantage is gonna be so
important when it comes to the NLCS and hopefully the
World Series as well, because.

Speaker 15 (02:10:34):
You have it throughout the rest of the way.

Speaker 34 (02:10:36):
To have these games at home, to have one and
two at home. That is why you win ninety seven games.
That is why that game against.

Speaker 15 (02:10:43):
Pittsburgh and May was important.

Speaker 34 (02:10:45):
That's why the walk off by Yellie the Grand Slam
and May against the Red Sox is important. It's why
you know, beating the Nationals on a Friday night, that
pocket pancakes come out as important. Like all that, that
leads to where we are today, where the Brewers have
that game at home because you saw how much the
Cubs fans had the impact at Wrigley and the Brewers
fans had a great impact tonight. They're loud, proud, and

(02:11:08):
that's again it just comes down to that's why you
win those games in the regular season.

Speaker 1 (02:11:13):
You're right, you're right, and the one seed did rear
it's head. It's lovely head in this one as they
were at home, because you saw both fan bases just
go crazy, all right, So decisions by Murphy, he was
getting rattled, railed.

Speaker 3 (02:11:29):
I should say in his decision making in games.

Speaker 1 (02:11:33):
Three and four, and you know I've been outspoken about that,
but he goes back offensively, will start there. Offensively, He
goes back to that identical lineup he had in games
one and two. I think that did have an impact
on things. Now, again, they only scored three runs, not
like they put up nine and seven like they did

(02:11:53):
in one and two. But I think that did have
an impact on this game that he went back to
that confident lineup, and I think that said something about Murphy.
He could have gone the other direction and force fed
the Yelich at the top of the order, but he
changed And I liked that about Murph absolutely.

Speaker 34 (02:12:14):
Yeah, like you said, he went back to what worked
in games one and two, And I think, to me,
that's kind of your a lineup to me, like I
just you look at the you can put it in
any order. And I still, you know, I still am
a fan of Freelick at the top. But when you
then can have if even if you don't there, and
you have a Churio at the top and those guys
in that order in a terrain and a Yelich like that, that,

(02:12:36):
I feel like you're in a really good spot when
you have those cheerio terrain contraras Yelich like that, and
then Vaughan of course, who of course hit the big
home run. Yeah, exactly, And it just your your lineup
looks so deep when you put it that way, and
and look, their lineup is deep pretty much either way.
But I think this is just it made it made
sense for them to go back to this thing. Like

(02:12:58):
it just you look at the numbers, and when Yelich
is in the leadoff spot, they just have not been
as productive. And three runs, like you said, three runs
it seemed like a little on in game three, and
three runs seemed like a ton tonight, so you know
you could and then they scored the same and Yellie
was in the leadoff spot for game three and he
wasn't tonight, so you know, you could kind of say
that's a wash. But absolutely Pat Murphy is look and

(02:13:21):
you heard in the postgame pressor how much he listens
to his coaching staff.

Speaker 15 (02:13:25):
I mean he is. It's not like Murph's way or
the Highway.

Speaker 34 (02:13:29):
I mean he's listening to Henderson and Hook for a
lot of those pitching decisions, and they're just you talk
about having a staff that is just on it. Oh
by those so much credit.

Speaker 1 (02:13:40):
Oh big time, and what they wanted, I believe you
correct me if I'm wrong. I think what they wanted
was Ashby to get through the sixth and if a
lefty was leading off the following inning, they'd force feed
right there either a pinch hitter to go to a lefty,
and then they were going to counter with Chad Patrick
to start that inning in the seventh. But I I

(02:14:03):
still say a lot of attention has been put on Miserowski.
But for Chad Patrick to do what he did tonight,
that to me was the game saver. The final two
outs of the sixth and a score less.

Speaker 15 (02:14:15):
Seventh, Yep.

Speaker 34 (02:14:16):
Absolutely, that's sixth inning, especially getting out of that jam
one out, two on. You're coming into your you know,
first winner, take all game in your life and the majors,
and you come in and you make those pitches, and again,
that's what this that's what this team has done all
season long. And you heard you heard that a little
bit when I talked to Caleb Dermott, like it just
it's the rookies continue to you know, it's in something interesting.

(02:14:40):
When I was talking to Drew during the game, and
he's like, he's like, they're not really rookies anymore when
it's October. He's like, these guys have played a lot
of Major League baseball now, And it's kind of true
when you think about how much experience they have now.
Do they have experience in front of forty two thousand
fans and a winner take all game against the rival
when it feels like the weight of the franchises on
your shoulders. Maybe not right, So that's a little bit
of a different experience. But I think what they did

(02:15:03):
is they stepped up obviously tonight and yeah, those middle
innings by Chad Patrick and then I don't I obviously
haven't heard the whole show, but curious to the euribate
for two innings was was interesting. I thought they would
go Canig in the eighth, especially with Michael Bush do up.

Speaker 3 (02:15:18):
Exactly Bush and Tucker, and it.

Speaker 1 (02:15:20):
Seemed an easy decision, right, Yes it did, and it
might have been a game saving decision. We don't need
but because we only know what has occurred. But I
think what it came down to was this, Obviously, it's
a lose and go home and we'll worry about Monday, Monday.

(02:15:41):
But your Reba's our guy, and we're going to live
and die with that dude. Right there, six outs, Abner,
go get it done, and he had the flare to
get it done. He was falling behind hitters. I didn't
notice that. Oh yeah, he ended up getting the job done.

Speaker 34 (02:15:56):
They had no strikeouts in those two innings, which is
not something he usually does, like you know, he's he's
usually a strikeout or two, but yeah, he he didn't tonight,
but he got some good defense behind him. Durban made
a couple of good plays over there tonight. Obviously, Joey
at short, and you can argue you could have you know,
pinch hit for Joey earlier in the game, but that's

(02:16:17):
then in a close game, which it was probably going
to be, then you don't have them at short for
like the last four or five innings. So I liked
keeping him in there with the bases loaded. Obviously, if
you know, if things would have went the other way,
you could have went back and nitpicked at that a
little bit. But yeah, that was a that was quite
an excited clubhouse as well. Cool that it's always cool
when you clinch at home because the fans stay and

(02:16:39):
you get the whole celebration on the field, and then
the fans get to be a part of it as well.
And sou Freelick was chucking hats into the stands for
a little while. Trevor McGill was doing that as well,
just kind of, you know, saying thank you to the
fans and everything like that.

Speaker 15 (02:16:53):
As they move on to the NLCS.

Speaker 1 (02:16:56):
It is, uh, it is super super exciting that they
get this thing done and they move on to the NLCS.
We've got a roster to think about. We've got tickets
going on sale tomorrow morning at ten. We've got to
revamp up and ramp up on at seven o eight

(02:17:16):
on Monday to get this thing done and we get
to do postgame shows and talk Brewers baseball for another series.
Brewers just eight wins away from their first World Series
title and uh, you know, finally on that roster part
of it. I know we're early on this, but it's

(02:17:37):
time to turn the page. Still some work to do here,
Hunter Woody King, Tana King, Tana. I would suspect it's
going to start Monday, would would be my guest?

Speaker 34 (02:17:49):
I think so, I would think so, Okay, so you
agree I agree, I mean me or Priester.

Speaker 15 (02:17:55):
But I would think it'll be Kitana.

Speaker 11 (02:17:59):
I hope.

Speaker 3 (02:18:01):
Although although I will say this that extending now the.

Speaker 1 (02:18:06):
Season, the twenty five championship season, a couple of things
jump out of me. Quinn Priester does get a do over,
and I just don't believe he'll pitch that bad again
this season. I don't.

Speaker 3 (02:18:17):
Yeah, I don't buy it.

Speaker 1 (02:18:18):
I don't buy it. And also my prediction, here's here's
just one side light by the fact that they get
another series means I still can be right with me
predicting that Joey Ortiz is going to come up with
a big hit in the postseason.

Speaker 34 (02:18:39):
You can still be right because we got at least
four more games, you know, in the in the championship
season and beyond.

Speaker 15 (02:18:46):
So yes, you are right.

Speaker 34 (02:18:47):
He had a golden opportunity for it tonight, and he
you know, could have been a hero forever.

Speaker 3 (02:18:52):
But Perkins too.

Speaker 1 (02:18:53):
I really I would have bet money on the Perkins
two out two on second with Perk up there, I
would have bet money.

Speaker 3 (02:19:02):
It felt so much like he was gonna come through.

Speaker 15 (02:19:05):
Right there he slammed his helmet.

Speaker 34 (02:19:07):
I think I think he kind of thought, Yeah, he
slammed his helmet into the ground on that one. He
was he was not happy with himself that he didn't
come through.

Speaker 3 (02:19:15):
Yeah, that's that's the one I thought he was.

Speaker 1 (02:19:17):
But we're not happy either, so yeah, right, all right,
well boys, we get to talk Brewers again. Lots of
Brewer programming coming up on ninety seven three the game,
and over here, admirals are going to be included, I
think in our decision making, whether we're here on the
AM or over there on ninety seven to three the

(02:19:39):
game Monday night.

Speaker 3 (02:19:41):
Football could play a part on Monday Night.

Speaker 1 (02:19:43):
We'll see, but we'll work it all out, stay on
the socials, and we'll stay in touch with not only
the station social media outlets, but our own personal ones too.
So Hunter, great job tonight. That had to be fun.

Speaker 15 (02:19:59):
Oh it was an absolute blast.

Speaker 34 (02:20:01):
You know, you're just you're going in, You're going into
the game thinking you know what could be right, and
as Pat Murphy said, you have the pit in your
stomach because that means something special can happen, and something
special absolutely happened. I think, you know, top to bottom
in that organization, you know, the happiness that they felt
and obviously we as fans as well. How exciting that

(02:20:23):
they was so cherish it all. You know, you beat
the Cubs in the series, you had two amazing wins
to start, and then just a lockdown pitching performance and
some great homers in Game five, and your Brewers are
now in the final four of Major League Baseball and
are going to be playing here in mid October.

Speaker 15 (02:20:41):
It's just awesome. So can't wait for Monday night.

Speaker 3 (02:20:44):
Man October Baseball.

Speaker 1 (02:20:46):
Nothing like it.

Speaker 3 (02:20:47):
All right, Hunter, we'll talk again.

Speaker 15 (02:20:49):
We'll do it. Thanks guys.

Speaker 1 (02:20:50):
All right, Hunter Bomb got our Brewers insider at American
Family Field.

Speaker 5 (02:20:55):
You ever think Timmy and I don't want to wish
this into existence. I'm glad Hunter's still at the ballpark
and not uh you know, doesn't have a radio nearby.

Speaker 6 (02:21:04):
But after being in that locker room in the clubhouse
with all.

Speaker 5 (02:21:08):
The champagne flying, and you know Hunter doesn't drink, and
uh you know they call him amish because you know,
he's that good of a of a human. If he
gets pulled over on the ride home, sell that cop
is just hey, uh been drinking tonight, buddy, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:21:28):
Oh, I was like, yeah, I'm gonna step outside here.

Speaker 5 (02:21:32):
I don't wish that on poor hunter Man. But all
those thoughts just run through my head.

Speaker 1 (02:21:38):
Oh come on, it's not yo, Fannie Guyardo getting pulled over.
Well yeah, I mean little differ, all right, let's just
real quick, a little tidbit here with Dave Gasper obviously, Uh,
a lot of our I don't have it.

Speaker 6 (02:21:52):
I just closed my my Twitter machine.

Speaker 3 (02:21:54):
Oh we're not going to get that in there.

Speaker 5 (02:21:55):
Uh yeah, well philibuster for a minute, I'll sign back
in and find it again.

Speaker 1 (02:22:00):
Okay, Yeah, Because Dave's been helping us out here on
postgame show coverage as well as Brewers coverage for the
radio station here, Fox Sports nine twenty and ninety seven
through the game. But he had just a little snippet
with Brandon Woodruff and Wood. He's one of the originals
that had been around since, you know, the last time

(02:22:23):
the Brewers won a post season series. And there aren't
many of them on this roster, but he's one of them.
And you know, I crossed my fingers for what are
being activated. They could really use that starting pitcher. And
that's the thing. The starting pitching got off kilter a
little bit here in the series. I must admit whether

(02:22:49):
that was due to injury of Kintana or not. But
really you had three starting pitchers and maybe not even that,
as I said, pending the injury to Kingtana, but Freddie
Peralta and Quinn Priester.

Speaker 3 (02:23:05):
I mean they could really really use.

Speaker 1 (02:23:10):
Number one healthy Hose Kintana, but number two Brandon Woodroof
to get into the mix. Now, Jeff, before we hear this,
it's probably not even discussed. But do you think he'll
pitch in this NLCS?

Speaker 5 (02:23:24):
Yeh, man, I'm really hoping that he does, just because
of all that he's gone through injury wise here and
all the work and sacrifice he had to make to
come back. I'm man, my fingers, my toes, everything, my.

Speaker 6 (02:23:40):
Eyes are all crossed.

Speaker 5 (02:23:42):
I hope so. But if I was forced to put
money down at that beautiful sports book down at Potawatamie,
I would vote note I agree.

Speaker 3 (02:23:53):
My heart says he will. My head says, I don't think.

Speaker 5 (02:23:58):
So right, And it's so unfortunate, man, because there's you know,
Woody is the epitome of Brewers baseball. He's a quiet dude,
a quiet leader. He's a freaking bulldog. All he wants
to do is get out there and tow the slab
and get guys out. You know, he's so easy to

(02:24:20):
root for. He's always smiling, he's so nice, and so
you want him to be out there to experience it,
to be able to mow people down, mow down the Dodger,
strikeout Otani, all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 6 (02:24:34):
It would be so great, man. So I'm really really hoping.

Speaker 5 (02:24:39):
But we'll you know, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (02:24:40):
But they have Chad Patrick, Yes, Sir Woody Junior, Saint Patrick. Yeah. Man,
he's been good in this series.

Speaker 4 (02:24:48):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:24:49):
All right, Well, let's hear Dave Gasper, who caught up
with Woody shortly after the victory.

Speaker 24 (02:24:55):
How do you feel what he begs moving on?

Speaker 29 (02:24:58):
Oh?

Speaker 24 (02:24:58):
Come on, man, like huge robbery, first time meeting in
the playoffs, like a lot of uh, a lot of
emotion around uh this series. So man, it was it
was awesome.

Speaker 29 (02:25:09):
Uh good pulling out.

Speaker 5 (02:25:10):
What do you think seeing uh Migill coming out there
first as the starter.

Speaker 24 (02:25:14):
Hey, we've seen, We've done it in the past.

Speaker 3 (02:25:16):
There's always a plan.

Speaker 14 (02:25:18):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:25:18):
I picked the night.

Speaker 24 (02:25:19):
It actually went according to playing, which is great. So
uh he set the tone, which uh we needed that
first in the zero bad. So he set the tone
and then it's kind of kind of on from there.

Speaker 34 (02:25:33):
Yeah, then Williams setting the tone as well, getting you
guys go.

Speaker 24 (02:25:35):
A lot of people set the tone, a lot of
them middle endings get covered.

Speaker 36 (02:25:38):
Mez Chad.

Speaker 15 (02:25:41):
Astitute to come to mind, and then you close the door.

Speaker 24 (02:25:43):
At the end of the game. I mean a lot
of big, big pitches there and Ashington, you know, makes
some big pitches. So h glect the pepper Man and
then trying adding all their deals pretty cool.

Speaker 34 (02:25:52):
So yeah, then uh looking looking forward to the NLCS,
thinking of joining this h rdy.

Speaker 24 (02:26:00):
Yeah, we'll see what happens. Yeah, we'll see what happens
daytther time. If Kershaw's out there and get a pinch
it opportunity, I'm sure that's gonna come up a lot.
Thank god, I don't have to end the morning.

Speaker 10 (02:26:10):
Congrats what you go?

Speaker 1 (02:26:11):
That is good from Dave Gasper. Remember Woody, that's awesome
homered in the last time the Brewers were in the
NLCS ironically against the Dodgers. All right, well that's gonna
do it for us, you guys, thanks for hanging out
with us, celebrating with us. We're celebrating with you, and
we're gonna do it again on Monday night. After the

(02:26:31):
last bitch make the switch and we'll talk some Brewers
Baseball postgame show with Pottawatomi Sportsbook bet above the rest
for Dave Gasper and Hunter Bombguard and Doug Russell and
Spencer Williams, everybody, uh, most of the staff down there
at American Family Field, and for Jeff Rolowski the Polish

(02:26:53):
pike Bomb.

Speaker 3 (02:26:53):
My name is Tim Allen.

Speaker 1 (02:26:55):
Brewers beat the Cubs in a decisive Game five victory
to send the Cubs packing and send the Brewers to
the NLCS. The twenty twenty five championship season continues, Love it,
Loving it. We'll see you guys Monday night and as
Yuker Magic Year of you call it what you want,

(02:27:17):
it's not corny, it's real and as always, smile Wisconsin
Bob Yucker is smiling back
