Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh boy, we are getting you ready for Brewers Baseball
the Baseball pregame show here on the game and the
iHeartRadio app. It's Game two NLCS twenty twenty five Championship
season continues. What's going on. It's Tim Allen, there's the
Polish pike Bomb. Jeff Orlowski Hunter Bombguard joins us from
(00:21):
American Family Field, and a little bit of pressurized situation.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
For the Brewers here in Game two.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I wouldn't say it's full tilt pressure, but a little
bit of additional pressure. Some would say a lot more
pressure on the Brewers to get this thing back to even.
But we are early in the NLCS and a lot
of things can happen. Interesting lineup, some folks were calling
for Jake Bauers to get in that starting lineup. Well,
(00:49):
ask and you will be answered, and we'll have the
lineups for you coming up in just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Also Pat Murphy.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
On the way and we will also hear from Jake
Bauer and Joey Ortiz. Joey by the way, in this postseason,
still looking for that big hit and whether that's a single.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
To drive in a run or whether that's a sackfly.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
He's still looking for it, and I would suspect you
might have a bunch of runners on base when Joey
Ortiz has one of his at bats tonight. But we're
getting you ready as you head into American Family Field,
and Hunter, I'll bring you in from the park here.
A little more pressure, I wouldn't say, obviously it's not
do or die, but a little more pressure on Freddie
(01:33):
Perrault and the Brewers tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, you know you as you'll hear Pat Murphy say this,
but he said last night's lost. The way it happened
was kind of a dagger to the heart, just because
they were in position to steal that game. And he's like,
we would have stolen it. He said, they probably outplayed
us in every facet, but we were in position to
steal that game in the ninth inning, and so he
realized that. But he's like, hey, it's a new day,
(01:57):
and that's exactly what this team has been about all
seas and long, just going on to the next day.
It's why they haven't had any prolonged losing streaks. And
I don't expect that they will. Hear and you have
your ace on the mound and Freddie has been sensational
here at American Family Field throughout the season. Is better
start in the NLDS against the Cubs came in Game
one here at American Family Field, and I expect nothing
(02:17):
less tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Bye Bomb.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
It's almost like that during that Cub series when you
and I on the postgame show we're talking about the
nervous oh meter.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Uh huh okay, So yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Think it's on pin the needles here for Game two,
but maybe a little heightened nervousness. You don't want to
you don't want to go down two. But then the
reality is if you are down in this game mid game,
then you start maybe thinking about that nervous meter your
thoughts here, A little additional pressure on the Brewers.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Oh yeah, there's additional pressure. Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
You do not want to pull a Toronto Blue Jays
in fall down, you know, go down to at home.
It would make it would make the mountain you're trying
to climb that much harder. So is it a must win? No,
but it's pretty damn close. So my nervous meter on
one to ten is a good solid six and a
half seven.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, I would say it's it's it's about there for sure.
If the Brewers trail at some point in this game,
oh yeah, then it heightens up to six or seven.
I mean, you know again, you're looking at Freddy Peralta,
who whether it's length or not, you need to put
up zero so or at least hold them at bay
a little bit. This is this is a big time
Dodgers lineup, and Hunter, I mean, all told, you do
(03:40):
the same thing on the pitching side you did to
the Dodgers last night. You're gonna win this game. I'm
convinced of that. You hold them to two runs.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yep, I agree.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
It's it's hard to get a performance like you did
from Lake Snell one night, it's hard to get it
again with a different pitcher the next night. So I
absolutely agree you're gonna If you're able to somehow hold
this Dodgers lineup, but it's not easy to hold him
to two runs, you're gonna probably have a really good
chance in this series. But unfortunately last night it's just
the fact that blake Stown was just on on and
(04:11):
Pat Murphy after the game, calling it one of the
more dominated pitching performances he's seen against his club. So
I don't think you're like you mentioned, I don't think
you're gonna get that back to back nights. For his
offense needs to come alive a little and look, Pat
Murphy's going a little bit the hot hand here. We
mentioned Jake Bowers. He is in the lineup and left
field and batting eighth, and you want to go a
little bit hot hand. You know, you're at this stage
(04:33):
of the game. It's not necessarily about who was really
good in June, July, and August. It's about who's hitting
well now, and that guy is Jake Bowers comes in
and rips that double off the wall, our ground world
double last night, and he's just seeing the ball really well.
He's been really good since he came back from that
shoulder injury. And then you'll hear kind of his reasoning
why he thinks he's been better as of late in
(04:54):
a little while.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, and we'll hear from Jake Bowers as well as
Joey Ortiz coming up during the pregame show here today.
But I think one of the things is to get
Bowers and at bat as early as you can. That
means people are getting out. He's betting eighth and some
people would say, well, he should be batting a little
bit higher in that order where you gonna put him.
(05:16):
I mean, that's the thing they go in this order
to give you a sneak peek here a little bit
at the lineup, and we'll get to that in a second.
But you're going right, left, right left all the way
down one through nine. It's the right, left, right, left,
right left. So when they do bring in a lefty,
it doesn't neutralize two hitters unless he gets them all out.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
So that is a good thing.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
But Hunter at the park today, it's probably tougher to
feel the vibe of the Brewers' Clubhouse, just because it's
a little more cordial with some of the media sessions.
It's all podium stuff. But did you get a chance
to just are they relaxed? Is it just business as usual?
Speaker 3 (05:57):
It's interesting because I was remembering this last night, you know,
or this morning, that that I forgot to mention this
on the postgame show last night, just the fact that
what I noticed in the in the clubhouse postgame, it's
what I've noticed throughout this season. And Jake Bauer is
actually elaborated on it today about the way this team
responds to a loss, and he said it's different than
(06:18):
other clubhouses he's been in in the past, and and
it's they're able to get over them very quickly. But
the other part of that is when I was in
the clubhouse last night, you know, a group of guys
I'm trying to remember all who it was. There was
a bunch of the terrang Freelick or Tease was over there,
some of the other guys just talking about not only
the double play, but just different baseball situations. A lot
(06:40):
of these guys are you know, when we go in
there after a loss, it's not all darn it, we lost,
woe is me. It's a lot of guys talking about, Okay,
if this would have happened, or what could we have
done better here? Like That's really what I've noticed throughout
this season is after a loss, it's it's you know,
of course, the music's not bumping, the you know, not
everything's not all just smiles and you know they're not happy,
(07:03):
but it's really about how can we get better from this?
And that has got to help this team and to
get to where they are right now in Game two
of the NLCS.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I mean, it's it's got to the dam's got a
break in the offense, pipe bomb. Before we get to
the starting lineups, you're looking at losing three of your
last four postseason games. I mean, that's not a good
trend right now. But you're also not scoring many runs.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Now. You know runs are going to be down in
the postseason.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
You are facing the best teams, and typically the best
teams have the best pitching, and certainly the Dodgers are
no exception here, especially on the starting staff. But three runs,
no runs, three runs and one run dating back to
last week. That's got to change tonight. They need to
put up crooked numbers.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Yeah, I think this team definitely needs to score, you know,
probably five for me to get comfortable into night's game.
Drew was saying on the award winning Drew and KB
Show that Christian Yelich doesn't have a postseason RBI since
twenty eighteen.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah, game seven of the NLCS.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
That is a long long time ago.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Wait for that moment for him, pipe bomb.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
That means he's due put me down for about eight
of them out of yelly today. Come on, Christian, it's time, buddy.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, I think it is. You know, your best players
need to step up. And I think one of the
keys in tonight's game is when they do bring in
a lefty, it's the Phase three hitters. Typically it's going
to be left right, left, because that's the lineup for
the Brewers. It's that right handed bat in the middle there,
whoever that might be. That could be Contreras as someone
(08:49):
comes in to face Trank, Contreras and Yelich. It could
be Andrew Vaughan to face Yelich, Vaughn and Freelick. But
it's that middle guy. The right hand hitter needs to
come up with a big hit tonight when they try
to neutralize a couple of left handed batters. So watch
for that in tonight's game as well. Let's get to
(09:09):
the starting lineups Game two NLCS Brewers and Dodgers, all
part of the twenty twenty five championship season. Jackson Churio
is back in right field again and he will lead
off for the crew, hitting second and playing second as
Bryce Terrang William Contreras doing the catching in the three spot,
(09:30):
cleaning up for the Brewers the aforementioned Christian Yelich. He
will be the designated hitter first baseman. Andrew Vaughn hits fifth.
In the sixth spot is center fielder Sal Frieling. Caleb
Durbin will play third base and he will hit seventh.
Jake Bowers will play left field and hit eighth and
(09:50):
batting ninth, and rounding out the order as the shortstop,
Joey Ortiz. So once again for the Brewers, Cheerio Terrang, Contreras, Yelich,
von Frielik, Dervin, Bowers and Orties. And that is all
backing Freddy Peralta. For the Dodgers, here's pipe bomb.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
Yeah, you've got a show.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Hey, Otani dh leading off, followed by Mookie Betts, Freddy
Freeman hitting third, Smith the catcher in the cleanup spot,
Monsey over at third base. He is hitting fifth, Hernandez
in right, tay Oscar that is hitting six, Edmund seventh,
he K Hernandez eighth, and Pages you can call them
(10:35):
pa hees if you want, I call him Pages. That's sorry.
Sucker is hitting ninth. So that's Otani, Bets and Freeman, Smith,
Munsey and Tioscar, Edmund, key k and Pages, damn it
and Yamamoto on the mound.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Now is that the same as last night? I'm gonna
guess yes.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
That sounds like it.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, sounds like it.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Side by side, Parson, I think that's the you know,
but again, I mean, look at look at that lineup.
I mean it's crazy, it's crazy good. But I mean
not to give the inferior sort of sentiment here. But
hold again, let's get to the keys of the game here.
For me to twofold the aforementioned when I said when
(11:20):
they go to a left hander out of the bullpen,
it's the right handed hitter in that sequence that is
pivotal for the Brewer run production. That's that's one thing.
And the second thing I will say is the first
thing I said yesterday at about this time, and.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
That is stay in the game until you get to.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
The Dodgers' bullpen. That's the key, and they were. They
did it last night. You saw what happened, just an
eyelash away from stealing that thing.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
It's got to happen again tonight.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Keys of the game is the right handed batter against
the left handed pitcher of the Dodgers. And then again,
stay in the game through Yamamoto whenever he exits the game.
Brewers need to stay in the game. Hunter your key
to the game.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Yeah, I'll go two of them as well. Freddie needs
to be Freddie. We need to see the Freddie We've
seen an American family field all season long. That Freddie
we saw in Game one. Does he have to be perfect, No,
cauld he let up a runner two, Sure, but you'll
go five pitch into the sixth inning hopefully and give
that bullpen a little bit of a rest because it's
been a lot of bullpen games here lately. And so
(12:24):
I think Freddie needs to be that ace of the
staff and put them in a position to win. I
have a good feeling he will, and then also put
some pressure on last night there was just no pressure
on obviously Caleb Durban was a lone hit to the
ninth inning. So just put some more pressure like you've
done all season. It's easier said than done against this,
you know, as Bowers called it, an elite staff that
(12:45):
they're facing. But the Brewers have done a really good
job of not being intimidated about whoever they're facing on
them out on this year, and they go out and
they just try to string good at bats together. So
put pressure on the Dodgers as well.
Speaker 5 (12:57):
Okay, so trying to be an overachiever, I guess I
have to go for two as well. For the Brewers'
pitching staff, don't walk dudes, you know, find the zone,
hammer the zone and sit there and make him hit it,
and make him hit it where you guys are not.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
You have a great defensive team for a reason.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Let's use some of that and not give out free passes.
And then as far as hitting, like Hunter said, keep
the pressure on, you know, be patient at the plate.
Let's get to that Dodgers' bullpen as early as we can.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Yeah, but I think it comes though with a caveat.
Gentleman freddie Peralta has been known to get in and
out of jams. I think though that he may have
a walk or two. And maybe it's not by design,
but maybe it's just out of caution. You've heard the
(13:50):
term don't give in. This is a star studded cast.
I mean, if you fall behind Mookie Bets and there's
nobody on and two out and it's three to one,
I mean, I don't see you feeding him a fastball
right there. Maybe live to make another pitch in a
new sequence there. You gotta be careful with that. But
(14:11):
I hear what you're saying. I think that leadoff walk
last night in the ninth inning turned out to be super,
super pivotal. Now, finally, Hunter, before we let you go,
as you're there at an American family field. What I've read
conflicting reports here on the fan base on how they
(14:32):
were last night. Yes, most were saying, well, there's not
there wasn't a lot to cheer about. However, when it's
a one zip game, nothing nothing game, I personally I
love those types of ballgames. I think more so the
casual fan base would love a three, three, four, four,
a five to four sort of game where it's a
(14:53):
little bit back and forth. What was that compared to Now, again,
it's maybe a bad comparison, but it's Game five against
the Cobs. That's going to be electric. But it's Game
one of the NLCS. How did they stack up?
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, I thought that was actually pretty good. I thought
the especially early on, I thought the atmosphere was really good. Now,
when the offense, you know, wasn't doing too much, it
was a little tougher to get the atmosphere going. I thought,
you know, maybe a little more pressure on the on
the pitcher, you know, when the Dodgers are pitching, put
a little more pressure on them by getting a little louder.
So I think that was where maybe the discrepancy was.
(15:31):
But talk to a few people and they were screaming
their throat hurts today. So there's definitely some of those
out there.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
And and there was definitely some times where it was
especially in the beginning. Boy you Robin Yant throws out
the first pitch to Ryan Braun and the towel wave
at the very beginning of the national broadcast and everything
like that. So there was times, but there's just that
maybe a little more if you know, if if people
are gonna complain, which it's tough to you know, complain
(15:59):
and get it and all that, but I think it's
more so, Okay, when the Dodgers are pitching. We saw
what the Cubs fans did to the Brewers pitchers, you
know at Wrigley. Try to make it the same way.
Although I'll tell you Cubs players, yes, right, so so
you one hundred percent and you can see how that goes. Now,
a lot of it is reactionary, right. The Brewers started
(16:21):
to get pressure offensively on Tsaki and then they started,
you know, the fans started to go there. But hey,
start that inning with it, start that first inning and
be all over them because you can have an impact.
Bron said it to me on Saturday. These these you know,
these players do get affected by it. Dodgers players and
Cubs players have talked about how loud it is to
play here. So it's been a fantastic atmosphere here every
(16:44):
night and can't wait for tonight too.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Yeah, I don't know how you do in that press box, Hunter,
I know you're a Brewer fan.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Oh my gosh. There was no to be honest with you.
And I might have said this on the postgame show
on Saturday, but there was a time during Game five
where Drew had to look at me and say, Hunt,
it's going to be okay.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Well, and it's I wouldn't And that's why I don't
hang out in the press box. I never, never have,
very rarely, because in a game like especially a game
like this. I mean when I've been to playoff games
over the years, it's just to walk around.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I don't even get a seat.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I'll just walk around, check out the vibe and stay
in tune with the game.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
But in that press box, could you pipe bomb? Hunter?
Could you imagine me in there? It would be.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Like I'd make up a new language in there.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
There'd be a lot of new words we could learn.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Pipe.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Yes, there would be some new new words to learn
and some old ones. And we wouldn't have necessarily a
Timmy dump button, so we probably get a lot of
strange looks as well.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, I mean, you know, the security would have to say,
and media relations would have to say, you need to
scramble your tail out of here if you're gonna cheer,
so so get out of there. Also one thing to note,
I've noticed over the stretch drive here and then into
(18:08):
the postseason, I've been dropping the F bomb a lot.
Oh wow, So I'm in a concerted effort to clean
that up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
So who knows.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
It might take two pitches to just abandon that idea.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
When did this change of heart, change of language ten
minutes ago?
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yeah no, the girlfriend said, the other days, she goes,
you know, I've noticed you just saying the F word
a lot lately.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Because we were talking on the phone to say, afternoon,
I had to wash my ears out with so.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know, man, it's it's uh. These
are these are times the treasure here, and these are
cool times. The Brewers are in the NLCS and they're
just a few wins away from a World Series. Hunter,
we will talk to you after the game on the
postgame show and Freddy Peralta Yamamoto it's NLCS.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Thank you, we'll see you later, all right.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Absolutely, talk to you guys over on Fox Sports nine
twenty tonight after the game.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Yes, programming note, we will be in Milwaukee on the air,
of course, as always on the iHeartRadio app. But in
Milwaukee you can find us over the year on Fox
Sports nine to twenty on the AM dial and that
is exclusively the rest of the postseason. Pipe moomb we
are happy to announce.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Yeah, that's our new home from here on out here
through the World Series.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
But you can always check it out on the iHeartRadio app.
All right, well, take a break, come back here from
Pat Murphy. He does delve into a little bit of
that tail end of the game last night. Brewers need
to turn the page, need to put the pressure on
the Dodgers, a little additional pressure on the Brewers, and
there would be pressure on any team down one. So
(19:53):
it's not just exclusive to the Brewers. We're getting you
ready for Brewers Baseball. It's the pregame show here on
the game and the iHeartRadio app I Heart Radio app
as we get you ready for Brewers and Dodgers Game
two NLCS here in the twenty twenty five Championship season.
And again a reminder, if you're listening outside of Milwaukee,
(20:17):
you guys can find us on the postgame show pipe
Bomb and myself Tim talking Brewers and either celebrating or
griping breaking down.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
We've been known to do all of those things.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Yes, yeah, go a little loopy at times, but mainly
have some fun with you guys all part of the
twenty five championship season. Special seasons made of special stories,
and there certainly are a lot to choose in the
twenty five season, that's for sure, and we'll get to
some of them as the postseason moves on. But a
(20:55):
storyline of Andrew Vaughan trade for Savali and a storyline
of the injuries to the starting pitchers not only at
the beginning of the season, but it seemingly bookends the
back end of the season here into the postseason. But
find a way, find a way win tonight. Mantra Woodpeckers
(21:17):
on offense, just keep putting pressure on and that's been
the recipe for the best record in baseball. And let's
not discount that as you look at that large payroll
for the LA Dodgers Brewers, where a win will even
up the score at a game apiece, and then it's
turning back into a best of five. We know, we
(21:38):
knew what happened there with the Chicago Cubs, but let's
head back to American Family Field, as Pat Murphy addressed
the crowd just a short time ago. Yeah, I would agree,
there's Pat Murphy prior to Game two NLCS Brewers and Dodgers.
I would agree that probably didn't deserve to win that
game last night, but you had a chants to steal
(22:00):
it as we get you ready for Brewers baseball. And
the other thing noticed within that session would be Jose King,
Tana and Mighty play a role here in tonight's game.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Okay, so is he not now a starter? Piemon?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
I mean we heard Murphy say they're down to a
starter and a half when the reality is I mean,
this is common sense for me, but I'm not Murph.
You have Freddie Peralta, you have Quinn Priester, You Jose
King Tana, and you have Jacob Mesarowski, you have Chad Patrick,
(22:43):
all starters, but yet you're down to a starter and
a half.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
Yeah, I think the starter and a half thing means
basically that there might be an opener or something like that.
We cannot see Jose King Tana tonight. It's got to
be in game three in La on the road, the
chiseled veteran out there trying to mow those guys down
(23:07):
in their place. And then I would expect Miz after
an opener in game four.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
But you know, so that's what I think.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
I don't know if he's just trying to play games here,
you know, trying not to show his cards if he
doesn't have to, which I respect, But there's no way
in hell I want to see Jose out there today.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
And also within that session, Murph, we are never tired
of hearing your voice. That's just it's quality entertainment. And
then finally he's right, then a bunch of national press
people are in the building, and in those sessions, nobody
wants to ask a question.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
Yeah, that's pretty telling, and that's why I make fun
so much fun of the power rankings that we'll go
through during the regular season on the postgame show, because
you know, you could tell that the these guys don't
know the players, they don't know how the Brewers play.
They probably watched maybe five or ten games all season long.
(24:08):
And again, all these national guys. All you got to
do call Tim Allen, spend five minutes on the phone
with them. You'll learn more about Brewers baseball than you
will in a stupid media guide or whatever they're using
to try to cram the little cliff Notes version of
whatever they're trying to do. Besides, you know, actually doing
their homework. They got to get better, that's sad.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Just ask some questions.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
You got to want to know something from an NLCS manager.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
I mean, hello, where do I start?
Speaker 1 (24:41):
They'd have to say, no, tim enoff already with the
questions here.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Well, and the thing is, though, is that okay?
Speaker 5 (24:47):
So say, say the Brewers win the next three in
a row, take a three to one lead. You better
not start asking questions. Then you know they will, Oh
of course they will. Then all of a sudden, Oh
oh they've got a shot. Now we're gonna act like
we care if you weren't asking questions, you know, before
game one, before game two. Don't start coming around in
(25:10):
game five and six and all of a sudden, now
you want to puff your chest out and act like
a big deal.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
No, sir, Jake Bowers is in the lineup.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
He is playing left field, and a little bit more
on that, and we'll hear from Jake Bowers after the
break here, but you're listening to the pregame show getting
you ready Brewers and Dodgers. It's Game two NLCS here
in the twenty twenty five Championship season. Tim Allen, jeff
Orloski here on the game and the iHeartRadio app. Getting
(25:39):
a little bit closer to first pitch NLCS Game two
Brewers and Dodgers Baseball pregame show here on the game
and the iHeartRadio app. Tim Allen, jeff Orloski. Also you
can hear us on the iHeartRadio app after the last pitch,
you make the switch over to the app and you
can check out the postgame show. Oh and we'll be
(26:00):
talking Brewers tonight, that's for sure, having some fun hopefully
with a Brewers victory. Yes, sure, and you can do
that in Milwaukee over the air on Fox Sports nine
twenty And those of you wondering there's been some changes
on ninety seven through the game in Milwaukee. But again
the connection to the staff members, including all the shows
(26:24):
can be had on the iHeartRadio app or if you're
in Madison and several other cities, you can get us
right here on this same station. So Brewers and Dodgers
getting ready to go. Brewers a little additional pressure after
last night's loss. But Jake Bowers a big, big double
in that ninth inning, almost man almost came back to
(26:47):
steal it.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
As we've been discussing.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
But Jake Bowers as well as Joey Ortiz, addressed the
media just a short time ago.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Here they are all right there.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
He is Joey Ortiz along with Jake Bauers prior to
Game two NLCS Brewers and Dodgers here in the twenty
five Championship season, Tim Allen, Jeff Roloski gonna get a
little bit closer to first pitch. And once again, if
you haven't heard the lineup, Jackson Surio is going to
play right field and lead off. Rice terrang second base
(27:20):
till bat second, William Contreras doing catching and hitting third,
Yelly cleaning up as the DH Andrew Vaughn at first base.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
In the five spot.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Six is center fielder Sal Freelick, Third baseman Caleb Durbin
will bet seventh, eighth, the four heard from Jake Bowers.
He's gonna be in left field, and then Joey Ortiz
rounds out the top nine. A little bit risky on
the defensive side for Jake Bauers, so you hope that
doesn't come into play. You're rolling the dice pipe bomb
(27:53):
on a little more offense.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Yeah, and I don't have a problem with that. If
it was up to me, I would have rolled the
dice even harder and swapped Ortiz for Monasterio when Monasterio
was filling in after Ortiz got hurt. All he did
was hit And I don't think that the step back
in defense is big at all between Ortiz and Monasterio,
so I would have done that also. But yeah, you know,
(28:18):
we'll see man Bowers has been great and hopefully he
keeps it going.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
About an hour away from first pitch Game two of
the NLCS this season, Brewers and Dodgers, and after the
last pitch, you can make the switch to the iHeartRadio
app and most of these stations we will not be
on with our postgame show, but the iHeartRadio app is
there for you. It's free, download it and you can
(28:42):
check us out. I think you'll like it, and those
in Milwaukee you can catch us over the air on
Fox Sports nine to That's AM nine to twenty as
we've been doing Brewers postgame coverage in the Milwaukee market
for twenty seasons and hopefully the twentieth will be the
(29:03):
best as the Brewers vie for a World Series title.
Still some work to do and it comes tonight with
Freddie Peralta against Yamamoto. Game two NLCS Brewers and Dodgers.
You've been listening to the pregame show, I should say
here on the game and the iHeartRadio app.
