Speaker 1 (00:34):
All right, here we are. We're getting you ready. Well,
I guess there's only one thing to do, and that's
win tonight pregame show, getting you ready for Brewers and
Dodgers Game four of the NLCS. Here in the twenty
five championship season, there's Hunter bombguard Tim Allen and do
we want to go live out to La Hunter and

(00:55):
get Pat Murphy and his pregame press conference.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I think we do.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
We are.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
He's just about stepping up to the podium here and
here we go. All right, let's go out to La.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Or if Bonnie was saying that your message is stay loose,
have fun, play free, how difficult is that to do
in this situation.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I mean, you know, it's imperative that you understand that
if you're tighten up or you're trying too hard, it's
not going to help you, you know. But don't mistake
being loose for being flippid and not caring. Just being
loose understanding. We know how we play, we know what

(01:43):
is important, and we know we're up against it right now.
But there's a lot of examples of keeping it simple.
You know, I was lucky enough to get a call
from a legendary manager this morning, and I've been I've
been seeking his advice, and you know, he said to me,
the little things, you know, like do the little things

(02:05):
they lead to the victory tonight. And he said, your
mantra all year has been win tonight. You can't win
four games tonight, you can win one game, So win tonight.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Sorry, Todd Murph.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Jose pitched a winner go home game against you guys
last year in the playoffs. How valuable is his experience
going to be tonight in the same situation, You know, you.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Think about it. Going to Jose is an easy decision,
you know, like he is the guy with the experience.
He threw the ball really good in the Cup series.
I look forward to it today. I'm very confident that
he understands the situation and can handle it.

Speaker 7 (02:49):
Kurt, with flipping the line up a little bit, how
much of that is wanting to try something new down
three games nothing and how much of it is just
the matchups?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
I mean, our six six tops hitters hitting the top
six every day, that's our top seven hitters hitting the
top seven. Sometimes we you have a horrible matchup for
one player something like that, and we switch out one
of those guys, But I don't think the lineup's any different,
same top four hitters every every day. Some of it's

(03:19):
based on what they can do in relief and that
type of thing, but it's it's been the same lineup,
top seven hitters for the last you know, for the whatever,
the playoff, postseason, for sure, Spectator.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Or if I just got two quick ones you mentioned
the legendary manager, give you advice? Do you mind telling
us Joe Tory? You know, I think I've heard of them.
He's won a couple world titles. And then Trio's in
the lineup. How's he feeling?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yeah, I think they got it under control, you know,
and I think he's, you know, going to perform like
you did yesterday. I mean, three art contacts yesterday. What
else can you ask? You know, you might walk away say, hey,
he was oh for four, but he hit the ball
hard three times, you know, and had nothing to show
for it.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Adam.

Speaker 8 (04:15):
Philosophically, how do you approach what's ahead?

Speaker 9 (04:17):
Do you empty the tank every day in each of
these games to win or do you think about it
as a four game in five day chunk?

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Right?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I think you have to think about winning at all.
Why are you doing this? Does it matter if if
you win one? Does it matter if you win two.
We're not looking for respectability, you know, like we've had
an incredible season with an overachieving team that no one predicted.
Blah blah blah. We've told the story a million times,
so we've had that. But the idea is to win,

(04:51):
not trying to get credibility or respectability. We have not
and really due to the Dodgers' performance, we have not
performed well in these three games, but also what could
we do better in those three games? I'm just not
pleased with saying the Dodgers pitch great, and that's the way.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
It is.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Too bad it can happen in baseball. No, what could
we have done? Like to dissect what we could have
done better offensively, pitching, et cetera, et cetera. Pitching decisions,
you know, if they work out their great decisions, no one,
No one asked me in Game five, how about.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
The decision to move that? What a decision?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Yeah, thanks, guys, I was great. You know, but as
soon as you make a decision, then the guy gets
a base head off the first guy or vice versa.
You know, it's a bad decision. So I live with
all that, but I can't live with our team not
kind of representing kind of how we play the game.
Although we've played, we've done we've done some great defensive things.

(05:58):
We've we've pitched well, we've base run well. Man, there
was a few things in the last three games and
I just doesn't sit well with me.

Speaker 10 (06:06):
You know, stay on the right side, five rows back, Hey,
most are the guys in your lineup haven't really faced Show.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Hey.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
How does that all of them?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
All of them? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
So what does that mean today when these guys are
going in the box for the first time against him?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Yeah, I mean it's it's always a little advantage pitcher
when they haven't seen you before. But there are one
hundred and seventy games in they understand that you're not
facing Show Hey, You're facing the ball, you know what
I mean. So you just gotta do your best you
can to see it as well as you can. And
they know his routine, that type of thing, They know

(06:45):
his repertoire. So it's about seeing the ball and trying
to win that pitch.

Speaker 10 (06:53):
Stay on the right side, far right there, bro, Hey,
Pat only the two thousand and four Boston Red Sox
come back from a three and no deficit. Have you
taken a look at the series to maybe find some
I don't know, inspiration, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
I I've seen in sports in my many years of life,
I've seen a lot of great comebacks. I've seen a
lot of great upsets, et cetera, et cetera. But it
all starts when you're in it. It all starts with
one pitch, one inning, you know what I mean, one

(07:29):
game at a time. So we're not thinking of winning
for like Joe Tory said, we're not trying to win
four tonight. We're trying to win a game Tonight's good.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Clinton in the front, murphin your many years of life,
as you reference you.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Now, you're going to make an age joke.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Okay, you're right, it's you're right.

Speaker 9 (07:47):
What I'm saying is you've managed the game at a
lot of high levels, and I'm asking you, have you
ever seen anything like what Mooie Betts has done moving
from right to second to short in terms of his
effectivest in development?

Speaker 4 (07:57):
I said it, I said it before the series. I
think in front of this group, I'm not sure, but
being so old I don't remember things, but I think
I've said it like it's an incredible untold story. Shohey,
Otani might be the best baseball player on Earth right now.
It's debatable whatever, but he might be. Freddie Freeman has

(08:21):
touched our hearts many times in the wrong way. But
Mookie Bets what he's doing in the game of baseball
is incredible. To move from outfield to playing shortstop on
the Los Angeles Dodgers, you know, team that's stacked with
everything you can be stacked with. For him to do
that and do it well is incredible. And then struggled

(08:46):
early according to Mooki, and now he's swinging it in
every clutch situation, I mean, and hitting behind show Hey,
which is a huge responsibility. I'm just telling you, man,
there's that needs to be brought up out because if
you're talking about most valuable player, you're get to go through,

(09:07):
you know, the stats and all that kind of stuff.
But if you're talking about a player that really was
valuable to this team this year, I'm saying Moviie Betts
is number one. No disrespect to show A and or
Freddie or you know some of the great pitching, etc. Incredible.

(09:27):
He imagines Steph Curry just saying, Okay, now he's going
to go play power forward and guard the other team's
best player. That's what it's like. So he's going to
guard the other team's best player, who's bigger, whatever, Never
done it. And he does it, and they win still,
and he still puts up his you know, thirty plus
a game, amazing, amazing thing. And I just like that

(09:51):
to be recognized because I know as Dave is sitting
over there, he's thinking the same thing, like this is
freaking incredible.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
You know.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Anything else from Earth, cause I'd give him MVP votes
for that Nightingale.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
You like that?

Speaker 4 (10:09):
No, I know they're like, you're you're involved in the
m v P thing, Like do you make the decision
yourself or these big berry these big name reporters, you
know what I mean. Okay, well that's what I'm saying.
Mookie needs to get some consideration. No, okay, say you
say no, cause you're of that. You know, you got

(10:31):
that wall up about not letting that thinking in. But man, yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
You mentioned.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Who's that?

Speaker 5 (10:54):
What about him?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Yeah, you're right, the tough ballot, tough game. We got
a tough, tough mountain to climb. But let's get started,
one step at a time. Barry just talks out of
his own. You don't no rules, no rules for Barry
just does whatever the hell he wants. Barry, I love you, man,

(11:21):
That's why we get along. No rules. Just speak up
whenever you want, no, no, say say what you're saying.
I was doing that as a compliment.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
To give you advice about.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
The guy who Look.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Yeah, it's called humility, that's called friendship. That's a beautiful thing.
Beautiful thing.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
All right, Murphy, appreciate the time. We'll see if I
got it, you got it?

Speaker 1 (11:52):
To see you tomorrow, Yes, see you tomorrow. Yeah, there
you go.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
That was Pat Murphy live in La. As we get
you ready for Brewers and Dodgers Game four, Tim Allen,
there's Hunter bomb Guard here on the game and the
iHeartRadio app Hunter. Let's start with the easy decision to
start Jose Kintana in this one. That cough me off
Guard just a little bit. Brewers are now in game

(12:21):
one hundred and seventy one on the season, all told,
game number nine in the postseason here in twenty five,
and Jose Kintana is about to start his first game
of the postseason.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, I mean, it makes sense for him to start
a game in the postseason. Finally, it also makes sense
for him to start this game. Sure, but I would
have liked him to start Game three of the Cup series,
and I also would have liked to probably have him
start yesterday's game.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
But you know, I.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Get it a little more because you know what miss
is now and the way he was effective, and so
you had you know, you were comfortable with what you
did yesterday and having Miserowski out there, you're comfortable with
right now with the way he's pitching. But I am
surprised that this is the you know, ninth game of
the postseason and this is his first start.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah, me too, me too. But it all rides on him.
He's got to have a nice performance, and you know,
obviously the Brewers offense needs to get it together within
the series. Just three runs, nine hits. In fact, if
you go back to what would it be Game four
of the NLDS, So the last five games, just eighteen

(13:39):
hits has been the fewest hits in any five game
stretch in Brewer's history. Think about that.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
That's wild.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
How in the world did that happen. Really, when you
think about it, you go back to the early seventies
to where teams weren't that good in a Brewer's uniform.
So fast forward to early two thousands. They lose over
one hundred games all within that those those tough times,
the twenty six year playoff drought. Not one of those

(14:15):
teams win a five games stretch with eighteen or fewer hits.
It's incredible.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
It's the best team in Brewer's history franchise wins wise
in a season.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
That does it. Now, that stat is baseball. I mean
that I'll give that stat up to just.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
That one.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
I'll give because you can't explain that one. You can't,
you know. And I agree with Murph and we just
heard him talk about it, you know, giving credit to
the to the Dodgers again, he pulled himself back a
little bit. And I've had enough of that too, for
what it's worth. Not that people care, but I mean,

(14:55):
enough of tipping your cap. Brewers got to get it done. Now.
On the other you talk about just baseball, Well, Jackson
Surio and William Contreras, those two have the most hard
hit balls in the postseason period out of all the teams.

(15:15):
So you're you are hitting into some rough luck. There's
no question about that, and the numbers would indicate that
the hard hit ball rate. But those balls you would
tend to believe would start falling in at some point,
and they just haven't thus far. So Joe Tory gives
Pat Murphy some advice. You can't win all four games tonight.

(15:38):
You got to win tonight, Joe. I want to stand
up and applaud you for that, just top of how
prophetic is that? Joe. I'm sure he's a great guy.
I've never talked to him, but he.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Probably gave some other advice that was more.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
I'm sure he did. Yes, I'm sure he did.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
The overall meaning of his message was probably.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
That that piece of advice. We could ask John Smith
and Euclaire right now and say, hey, John, what advice
would you give Pat Murphy?

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
I think he'd come up with, you need to win tonight.
So it's it's it's all interesting.

Speaker 7 (16:16):
Now.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
You did hear Murph referred to Bob Nightingale in their
USA Today reporter A hunter? Did you read the article
from Nightingale on Murph yet? Oh my goodness, it's what
a great piece. It's dynamite. It h Murph doesn't hold
back his language in that sure, but it does go

(16:38):
into the relationship with Craig Counsel and how after Game five,
Counts was waiting for Murphy and they gave each other hugs.
That was That was kind of insight that that I
didn't know about. It didn't surprise me. I just didn't
know about it. But what a great article USA Today.
Check it out. Bob Nightingale on Pat Murray. It goes

(17:01):
to his personal life and the kids and when and
who and how he was headed down a wrong path.
Murphy used to drink and his father drank quite a bit,
and it really was informative at the very least and entertaining.
So I just wanted to throw that out there as well.

(17:23):
You're listening to the pregame show here on the Game
and the iHeartRadio app. There's Hunter Bombguard Tim Allen. Thanks
to Jew and KB for stepping aside allowing us to
get you ready for Brewers and Dodgers in Game four.
And I threw this out there on social media. I
guess there's only one thing to do, and that's win tonight.
Get a win, have a little bit better showing and

(17:46):
a little bit better showing of the brand of baseball
that got you ninety seven victories, the most in Major
League Baseball. But this has been a rough, rough go
for the Brewers against the I won't say mighty Dodgers,
but the payroll filled Dodgers. I mean, it's just been
a tough and really tough twenty two and two thirds

(18:09):
innings pitched and just two runs allowed for the starting
staff on the Dodgers side. I mean, at some point
you're gonna have to crack the code here. How about
the lineups. Let's get to today's lineups for the Brewers
and Dodgers in Game four, a little different lineup. He's

(18:29):
throwing Jackson Surio out of the leadoff spot. However, Joey
Ortiz still in the ballgame. Before I get to the
lineup here, Hunter, I was saying last night on the
postgame show that you just have to gamble on offense
and go give up a little bit of defense. You
did it with Bowers yesterday by putting him in left field.

(18:52):
Not going to happen with Joey Ortiz Today's right there
in that lineup.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yeah, he absolutely is. Joey's beatning ninth. So you go,
betting first at second base, Bryce Terrang betting second in
left field, Jackson Surio, good to see him back in
the lineup, Christian Yelich betting third as a designated hitter,
betting fourth as the catcher, William Contreras betting fifth at
first base, Jake Bowers betting sixth and right field. South
Freelick betting seventh at third base, Caleb Durban betting eighth

(19:20):
in center field, Blake Perkins and betting ninth at shortstop,
Joey or Teze. So you've got Terrang, Churio, Yelich, Contreras, Bowers, Freelick, Durban,
Perkins or Tees. Otani's al righty Thus Bowers in the lineup?

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah, and no Andrew Vaughan here in this game now, yeah, no,
No von Moore at least not to start right. I
would imagine he's gonna get in a big situation with
maybe a runner or two a board, and maybe he
comes up big, and he has been known to do
that in the past. But Joey Ortiz, you got Perkins

(19:56):
or Teas, and then it flips around to Terrang. Then
it's you got a little help in front of Churio.
Now on Jackson Churio, he's we're happy to announce he's
back in that lineup, but there's no way that kid
can be at one hundred percent. You and I were
talking off the air that we're probably thinking somewhere around seventy.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
I would think so maybe a little more seventy five.
I mean, obviously he hasn't been one hundred since he
pulled his hamstring like an out of triple against the
Cubs in late July. But I think for September he
was maybe at ninety ninety five. But now you get
to the postseason. He reaggravates it in Game one of
that NLDS, and now he's, you know, obviously in a

(20:40):
situation where he's got the cramping going on. It's just
like you said, he just yeah, you gotta think so
he's But he's out there back in left field tonight.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
He is, and and they were not going to play
Christian yellis out there. I think that's telling guys, I
really do. And again, I you know, I'm not going
to say that Christian Yelich is one hundred percent healthy either.
He says he's fine, I'm good to go. I mean,
is he had ninety two percent? Is he had ninety percent?

(21:11):
I mean, everyone's a little dinged up. It's game one
hundred and seventy one here, but it I think that's
an indicator. You'd play Jake Bowers over Christian Yelich in
left field. You're playing a GIMPI Jackson curio in left
field over Christian Yelich. To me, that screams something. There's

(21:33):
something there because especially with the Jackson surio the Bowers,
I sort of get it. I mean, Bowers isn't necessarily
a hack in left field. He's not great, but I
would assume that probably Yellie maybe a tick or two
above defensively where Jake Bowers would be. But but you're
risking losing jacksonurio because Christian Yelich is not playing left

(21:57):
field with an alleged I'm fine, I'm healthy comment that
to me, there's a little more there and it's probably
gonna come out later, and that's fine. And there, as
I said, they're all danged up to some degree. You
could speculate, and that's all we're doing here. You could
speculate that salth Freelick is not one hundred percent just

(22:19):
based on his play alone.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, and I would think, you know, with sal it's
that knee probably you know, he had that what was
at the hamstring right at some point this season, but
that knee has just kind of never been fully taken
care of. And I do wonder if they do something
this offseason for that, because it seems like that he
dealt with it last year, I believe, and now he's

(22:43):
dealing with it. He's dealt with it again this year,
and it kind of feels like maybe he is not
doing as well because of that. Now the has the
pitching for the Dodger has been really good. Absolutely approach,
maybe not exactly how it had been. Yeah, but look
at these stats for this series alone. Freelick's one for ten,

(23:04):
Terrang's one for twelve, Churio's one for eleven, Yelich is
one for eleven, Contrere's is zero for ten, or Tezes
zero for five. Durban's the only one. He's three for
nine in the series. That's that's gotten you know, more
than a couple of hits in this series. So yeah,
I think it's it's and look, am I gonna blame
all that on injury? Absolutely not. It's it's approach, it's

(23:26):
Dodger pitching. But I think some of those guys, maybe Yelich, obviously, Churio,
probably Freelick, who are battling through and just trying to,
you know, get everything they can to get out, there.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Could be And so the debate here on the postgame show.
More details on where we will be with the postgame
show coming up in just a couple of minutes here,
but I think there's going to be a lot of
conversation about Joey Ortiz being in this lineup. You've gambled
on a you know, a hamstring issue for Jackson Churio,

(23:59):
You've gambled on a Bowers out in left field. You
can't gamble on a little potentially now again that's that's
key word, potentially a tick more offense from Andrew Monasterio.
It's worth that's worth having a conversation about. I mean
that this is all about offense. I mean that this
has been this series has been about the lack of offense.

(24:21):
And at some point you're gonna have to gamble. But
they he chose not to, and in Murphy trust and
maybe Joey Ortiz comes up with that two run double
tonight into the gap.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
You haven't you been saying it's gonna happen. It's I
just I'm still alive with that prediction. Are this season
is not over and it has not happened, but the
season's not over. Down to the wire with that prediction.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Come on, Joe, you probably is gonna get two, maybe
three at bats in this game here tonight and we'll
see what happens. But let's take a look at the
Dodgers lineup as the Dodgers trying to close out the crew.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Exactly, Dodgers up three to zero in this series, betting
first and pitching tonight the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Wow, it's just it's like that little league kid. That's
just everyone, all the families and moms and the brothers
and says everybody, uncles, everybody knows that it's Oh, that
kid's the deal. He's the short stop, leadoff hitter. And
then he's their ace pitcher.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah yeah, And that's shoey Otani. He's gonna lead off.
He bats left, but throws righty by the way, betting
second at shortstop, Mookie Betts betting third, and behind the plate,
Will Smith betting cleanup at first base. Freddie Freeman. Tommy
Edmund gets to start at second base and bets fifth.
Betting sixth and right field ta Oscar Hernandez. Betting seventh

(25:36):
and third base is Max Munsey. Betting eighth is Key
k Hernandez. He starts in left field and betting ninth
in center field is Andy Pahes.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
So for the Dodgers, they switched it up.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
They did a little bit Otani, Betts, Smith, Freeman, Edmund, Hernandez, Munsey,
Hernandez pa Haes.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah, so they have Edmund moving up to the five spot.
I mean, we got to remember this. Yeah, this dude.
Dude was outstanding last year in the nlcs Y. Yeah, yeah,
Tommy Edmund. So he goes to five months, he goes
down in the order. So a little different wrinkle for
Dave Roberts and the Dodgers here we're gonna hear from

(26:17):
the aforementioned Sal Freelick and as well Andrew Vaughan. Is
that the way to go if you're looking for some
slug Andrew Vaughan not in the starting lineup, but I
would I would imagine he's probably going to be in
a position to pinch hit for a Joey Ortiz I
would think at the very least Joey, maybe even Perkins.

(26:40):
It's possible late in the game if they're looking for
something big. But soho, Hey Otani against Jose Kintana in
Game four and we're getting you ready here we'll tell
you all about the postgame show where you can find
it here from Andrew Vaughan and Sal Freelick on the
other side, pregame show Hunter Bombguard Tim Allen here on

(27:00):
the game and the iHeartRadio app. Yeah, you know that song.

(27:22):
It's getting you ready for Brewers Baseball and it's Brewers
and Dodgers. Could this be the last game of the
twenty five No No Now? Welcome Back? Pregame show on
the game and the iHeartRadio app. Tim Allen and Hunter
Bomguard join us after the last pitch as you make
the switch over to several different platforms to catch the

(27:45):
postgame show tonight after the Brewers beat the Dodgers. You
just heard from Pat Murphy a little bit ago if
you missed it, at the end of that presser, he
said see you tomorrow, get see you tomorrow, and.

Speaker 6 (28:02):
He might be right.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
So let's go there and just stick with that. Pat
will see you tomorrow. We'll do it all again tomorrow
and get another game here into the season. But Hunter,
we can find the postgame show tonight really all over
the place, right see tomorrow. Yes, there it is there,

(28:24):
it is.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yes, you can find it. I mean, if you can
think of it, you can find it. That's how we're
kind of going with tonight. So we are at the
basis of it is. It'll air on Fox Sports nine
to twenty am, So if you're in the Milwaukee area
and you get nine twenty am, that's where we'll be
over the air. We will also be on the iHeartRadio
app if you search Fox Sports nine to twenty. We
will also be on the iHeartRadio app if you search

(28:47):
ninety seven to three the Game, which is maybe where
you're listening right now. If you're not listening on one
of our affiliates around the state, you're probably listening on
the iHeartRadio app on that ninety seven three to game stream,
So that is also where you can find it tonight.
You can also find it tonight on our YouTube, Facebook
and x accounts by searching ninety seven three the Game.
So if you follow us or if you subscribe on YouTube,
you follow us on Facebook, you follow us on Twitter

(29:09):
or X. Those places will be live streamed with the
show just like it was last night. So again all
socials for ninety seven three, YouTube, Facebook, and X. You
can also find us on the iHeartRadio app ninety seven three,
the Game, or Fox Sports nine twenty or over the
AM dial on nine to twenty.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Yes, and the only difference from last night would be
the phone number to get your reaction? Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Well, the phone number will be the same as last weeknight.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Okay, Well, so it'll be that same eight seven seven
seven nine four one nine seven three.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
Perfect? Okay, nikolay low dot com talk and text line
at eight seven seven seven ninety four one ninety seven three.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
We just want it to be, you know, as easy
as possible for well.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Still rolling here in the twenty five championship season. It
ain't done yet, and that's good grammar. I uh, I
just find it hard to believe that the Brewer would
just be, you know, foreign done here. I don't know, Yeah,
I mean, it feels like they're they're going to and
just extend it just a little bit. See you tomorrow,

(30:10):
you know, hopefully tonight that's what we'll be saying, and
we'll get you all the details as to uh, you know,
game time and you know postgame show duties and all
of that stuff. So we're crossing our fingers here. Uh,
don't let it discount the what the Brewers have accomplished
here this season. They really have gotten some experience here.

(30:34):
And I'm not doing the Brewer radio eulogy here, but
to focus on some of the positives. One mere example
would be I just was reading on X that Garrett
Mitchell in the house. Yeah, I mean, people forget about
Garrett Mitchell. It's a tremendous talent and I wouldn't give
up give up on him. Looking down the line here,

(30:56):
miss Rowski would be the main thing I would say.
And then all the team control with most of these players, Hunter,
most of these players are gonna run it right back
into the twenty sixth season.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Totally, totally, and I think it's going to be, like
you said, I it's hard for me to talk as
it has been this entire you know, run this entire season.
Hard to look towards the future, but you can't, you know,
when we're sitting, you know, in December and the snow
has fallen and you think about Burrs Baseball, there's going
to be so much to be excited about when you

(31:27):
think about what this team has put on the field
this year, the talent that is on this in this organization,
Like you said, a Garrett Mitchell who hasn't played really
all season, and and there's a guy who is, you know,
one of your key stalwarts in the outfield who you
were able to get the best you know, win win
total infranchise history without him, you know, and a guy

(31:48):
he's going to come back and be talented. And and
then the pitching obviously as well. So there is so
much and I think you found your third basement in
Caleb Durbin, Like, there's so many different avenues you can
go with being excited about this team in the future.
Obviously it's a discussion there are there will be plenty
of weeks to have when the you know, when it's
ten degrees outside and you hope that they just continue

(32:09):
in this NLCS. But yeah, there is such a great
outlook at this team.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Well, and some things happen for a reason, and a
good outcome initially out of a bad situation, a good
outcome comes out of that thing. Garrett Mitchell gets hurt,
Well here comes Isaac Collins. So with Mitchell healthy, you
may not have discovered the talent level of Isaac Collins.

(32:34):
There may be a log jam in that outfield. That's
what you want. It's exactly what you want with with
guys like Freelik and Churio and Perkins and Mitchell and
and these guys Isaac Collins. That's that's, you know, a
good outcome that started from a bad situation with Garrett Mitchell.
So a lot of good things to look forward to.

(32:56):
And we'll have plenty of plenty of time to talk
about that about the off season, because it's not the
off season yet.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
No cutting any off season, right, No, not quite yet.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Hang in there. There's still a ballgame tonight. There's still
still some Brewers conversation to go on the postgame show
tonight as well. Speaking of outfielders, it was Sal Freelick
at the podium along with Andrew Vaughan and give this a.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Listen, sort of Adam third Row in the middle.

Speaker 8 (33:28):
Guys, how do you approach the task ahead?

Speaker 6 (33:31):
Do you.

Speaker 9 (33:34):
Do you caparmentalize it? Do you think about a big picture?
How do you go into today?

Speaker 11 (33:40):
Yeah, just taking it one game at a time, right
until you can do you know, to get back in
this thing. It it starts with one. So really just
stay focused on tonight. Don't worry about what's happened in
the last few games or try to look forward to,
you know, talking about the future. Just really just stay
president today or.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
In go to Kurt also in the third row for
either of you guys.

Speaker 7 (34:08):
When you look at the way the pitching has had
to line up in this series, your guys are going
to go up against the fourth you know, one hundred
plus million dollar Ace and you guys and that while
you guys on the pitching side are having to kind
of piece it together. Does that feel like indicative of
just kind of the way that the two teams have
to operate differently.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
I mean, yeah, yeah, it's obvious.

Speaker 12 (34:33):
You know, there's shartin pitching has been really good so far,
likes House said, we just got to go out there
play the next game.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
Do not worry about anything else. Take one pitch at
the time, or the right side that's five rows back.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Sal After talking to a lot of you guys last night,
it seems like you're still pretty positive. Is that difficult
to be in right now seeing that where you guys
are at, I.

Speaker 11 (34:58):
Mean, uh, not not really right, Like, you know, pretty
positive when we lost to to Chicago and had to
go back home, and you know, it would have been
awesome if we could say, you know, the whole postseason
we were just going to go through and not lose
a game, right Like, that'd be awesome, I'm sure. But
at the same time, it's pretty unrealistic. And you know,
there's four teams left and wear one of them, right,

(35:19):
So you know, I know how much of a blessing
is to be able to play in a series like
this against a team like this, So you know, to
be able to come to the field every day, whether
you're up three to zero, down three oh, and not
be positive is pretty hard. I think most of the
guys would agree with that. So I think that's kind
of where it comes first and foremost. But yeah, at
the same time, like you know, the road ahead of us,

(35:40):
and it's not going to do anybody any good, you know,
not being our usual selves.

Speaker 6 (35:45):
God, you guys obviously know what the scenario was here tonight.
That said, Murph is obviously a really good motivator too.
Is there a message that you can share that he's
been trying to give to you guys, or like what
you know, how has Murf been in the last X
number of hours since last night?

Speaker 5 (36:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (36:03):
You know, is his message always been the same, go
play free, you know, be ourselves. We can't be anybody else.
You know, we are what we got and you know,
just such a great group. And I know we're gonna
go out there and fight tonight.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
With far and left here.

Speaker 13 (36:19):
It's for either of you guys. You know, we hear
good pitching, beats, good hitting all the time. You guys
obviously are very good hitting. Team scored a lot of runs.
How specifically have they been able to shut you guys
down so much?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (36:31):
I mean I think you know that's not like some
secret formula, right, I think that there's truth to that.
I think they've done a great job throwing strikes, which
is you know, the big thing, especially against us, there's
no secret that we're not the I think we're maybe
the most passive team in baseball and that's part of
our identity. And you know, to combat that, they've been
filling up the zone. I haven't been walking guys, and

(36:54):
you know all of them have really plus plus stuff.
So it's just kind of coming together as an offense
and seeing we got to a down and it doesn't
have to look pretty. No, how are we going to
make outs? Right, like we're gonna make twenty seven outs?

Speaker 4 (37:06):
It's just how are we?

Speaker 11 (37:07):
How are we going to make them productively? And just
kind of barn down.

Speaker 14 (37:13):
Sophia, Vonnie, you've faced Ohtani three times and Sally you'll
be seeing him for the first time. Just how can you, guys,
you know, one through nine try to get like a
quality at bat and and create something off of him
considering the inexperience.

Speaker 12 (37:30):
Yeah, you know, you just got to go in there
with a game plan. You know, he's an elite pitcher.
You know, probably one of the best players in baseball.
I think anybody would say that. But you know, he's
got to throw it over the plate and we've got
a chance to hit it.

Speaker 11 (37:43):
Yeah, obviously we know the task in hand. I was
actually fortunate enough to face him in the World Baseball
Classic in the Tokyo Dome, so some familiarity there, and
obviously we know how good he is. But you know,
this is you know, the Major League, So usually anybody
that tows that rubber is going to be really good
and has stuff to get you out, So just got
to find ways to combat that goat.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
So how did that at bat?

Speaker 5 (38:07):
Right? That at bet?

Speaker 7 (38:08):
Are those at bats against show hey and the WBC
go for you?

Speaker 5 (38:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (38:12):
Okay, I remember it was before I h I debuted.
I was still in the minor leagues with Team Italy.
We were in Japan and he started for them, and
I'm pretty sure he was on a pitch count but
maybe went two or three innings. But I mean the
stuff is you know exactly has advertised with him, and

(38:33):
he's a competitor as well, not just a thrower, so
should be good.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
Let's go back to Adam and third row. SA.

Speaker 9 (38:42):
We know you're not like on social media all day,
but did anyone show you any of the picture or
the image from your catch and the whatever the meme?

Speaker 8 (38:53):
Did anybody show you when that really made you laugh?

Speaker 5 (38:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (38:56):
I mean I showed up the next day and I
think a few of the guys had it as their screens,
so h that's how I had seen some of it,
and Sofia was shown me some as well. But yeah, no,
I'm not on like social media really, so I didn't
see it, but some of the guys were showing me.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
All right there they are South Freelick and Andrew Vaugh.
Andrew Vaugh what a fine I mean, you know again,
he's he's been an integral part of this ball club
the second half of the season. You look at the numbers,
compare and contrast the numbers. What Andrew Vaugh did in
the Brewers uniform versus a white Sox uniform just incredible.

(39:35):
I mean, so you talk about a change of scenery. Finally, Hunter,
you've spoken with South Freelick many times in the last
few years. Just seems a little down.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
To me, entire, a little exhausted, just kind of looking
at him there. But I look, that guy is going
to give you one hundred and all the time, no
matter what. And I think maybe that takes a toll
on you over one hundred and seventy games. But I'll
tell you what, that guy is gonna go out there
and give it every single thing he has for the
Brewers tonight. So that's what you love about that.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
We're getting you ready for Brewers and Dodgers. It's Game
four of the NLCS, and my goodness, let's see the
bats tonight off shohe o tani as the Brewers trying
to stay alive here will continue after the break here
pregame show, there's Hunter bombguard Tim Allen getting you ready
for Brewers and Dodgers here on the game and the

(40:27):
iHeartRadio app. Well, I think there's only one thing to do.
If you're the Brewers, You're gonna have to win a
ball game. Win again. Have they won some games? Of
course they have. They've won exactly one hundred games this year,
and they need to make it one hundred and one

(40:49):
tonight to stay alive here. It's such a surprising situation, though,
isn't it. Despite it being the Dodgers, it still is
somewhat of a stunner to me that they are down
three games to none. Now, would it be a stunner
if the Dodgers ended up winning in six or seven?

(41:09):
Maybe not? Maybe not. Those that know the industry and
baseball you may have said, well, yeah, I mean they
got the best of you. But now the Brewers gave
him a fight. But to be down three to zero,
that's somewhat stunning to me. It really is.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Hunter, Yeah, me too, it is. I didn't think they'd
lose five of six in the postseason, but you know
they have and it look they're pitching has been They're built,
this organization is built on pitching a defense. Has their
offense been good and carried them at times and gotten
them to the ninety seven wins. Yes, absolutely, it's been

(41:44):
a big factor. They're pitching a defense is what has
kept them in most of these games, obviously, and so
now you get to a point where you just need
a little offense. That's what's been the tough part. Matt
Miller said this on during KB and he's like, you
know it, this feels like the least blowout, Like it
doesn't feel like they're getting crushed every night. Nope, because

(42:05):
they're not. It's just like it's these are close games.
They're just not mustering really any offense, and thus they
aren't being able to win even though it's close.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
It just is It's truly amazing. I mean, I don't
I don't know how else to tell you, but they
should have a win on the board by now, and
there should be a little more pressure on the Dodgers now.
You know the Dodgers Dodger Stadium is going to be
a madhouse tonight because it is Clint scenario for those
guys and years. Oh yeah, you you gotta, you gotta

(42:41):
brave the storm here and you gotta you gotta somehow
find the upper end. They did last night. I don't
know if you guys noticed it, but after the first
inning that stadium was relatively quiet.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Yeah, it loved it. Miz was covering them up left
and right, and yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
We'll see but okay, well we will see you after
the ballgame, after the last bitch, make the switch on
the game accounts, on x YouTube and Facebook, the iHeartRadio app,
and then in Milwaukee on Fox Sports nine. So we'll
see you tonight. Go Brewers, get on the board early,

(43:20):
maybe a runaway, maybe just put up a big, big
number seven, eight runs and just cruise to a game
four victory. But yeah, we're gonna be talking about it
after the ballgame. And have a little faith here in
these guys. Pat Murphy, after his press briefing just about
an hour ago, said see you tomorrow, and I'm gonna

(43:42):
believe him. I'm gonna trust him. So join Jeff Orulawski,
the Polish pipe bomb hunter, Bombgart and myself Tim for
the postgame show go brewers, and we'll see you after
the ballgame.

Speaker 5 (43:54):
See you tomorrow.
