Speaker 1 (00:03):
Cut him or Rebate strikes out the side in the night,
and the Brewers have a stranglehold in this series.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It is a final from American Family Field and the
results are good. How about this one? A seven to
three Brewers victory. Welcome in Everybody Postgame Show Playoff edition
with Pottawatami sportsbook bet above the rest, Tim Allen, jeff
Orlowski and another Brewers victory. Ooh, ouch up to oh

(00:45):
and you're ready to pounce right. I think that's where
we're at now. Let's just keep this good vibe going,
great energy going. And yeah, the Brewers don't hit home runs.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Huh no, but they got no power.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
No, they don't hit home run three run shots solo shot.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
We's had another three run.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Shot there and put away the Chicago Cubs here in
Game two of the NLDS of the twenty twenty five
Championship season. We're gonna get to your phone calls a
little bit later on. We're gonna hear from Pat Murphy
here in just a couple of minutes as well, and
also maybe.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
A little bit of Craig Council later on.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
You can hit up the Nicola Law dot Com talking
text line at eight seven seven, seven ninety four, one
ninety seven to three, and Pipe Bombo's talking about it
on the pregame show that we will get to text
messages tonight. We didn't have time after the Game one victory,
but we will make time tonight to get to some

(01:43):
of the text messages that have just been flooding in.
So again eight seven seven, seven nine to four, one
ninety seven to three didn't start out real well again tonight,
Oh my goodness, you did not want to be around
me at that point.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Really really, I know it would have been as cool
as a cucumber, Timmy.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Oh my goodness, not at all.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I just you know, and again I questioned the air
and asked me thing to open, and you know, you
have a bullpen day today. And it was a bunch
of bullpen arms is what it was, including Jacob Mizerowski
more on him than just a second. But the air
and asky thing. I couldn't believe it when there was

(02:30):
a three run homer.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Hit, and wow, are you kidding me? Again? They're going
to set a tone in the first inning.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And not only that, we'll get to a highlight or
two as well. Not only that, but you send them
out there for the second inning. I was losing my
mind again. Oh no, no, no, Pat Murphy, don't do that.
Well it worked, and it worked in large parts of Miserowski,
Patrick Mears, all these guys, kanig Urebe McGill, you name them.

(03:06):
They were out there and this bullpen set down the
last fifteen Cubs in order. And finally I was listening
on the TVs broadcast that they're they're really given the
Cubs or the Brewers bullpen some credit here. This bullpen
is trustworthy, guys. It is now once in a while,

(03:27):
they're going to give up runs.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I get it in their big runs because they're high
leverage guys, and it's gonna hurt, and you remember those things. However,
for the most part, this bullpen has been dynamite and
they have been excellent through these first two games, and
the Brewers have a two zip lead in the best
of five series.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Now we're not good at math here, no.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
But I think what that means is you need to
win one more of the next three and you win
the series and go to the NLCS.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I don't math good.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
So I'm just gonna say, if the Brewers just keep
on winning every single game.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
We're gonna end up very very happy.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yes, and now just nine games, nine wins, nine more,
nine more.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
So Okay, my question, Timmy, because hell would we get
Burgers if.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
They just take it off the sheet?

Speaker 4 (04:30):
They should?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Yeah, they should.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
On you, this is amazing. Brewers up too oh in
the series, and they get another victory and they're headed
once again to the NLCS as we welcome you in
postgame show with Pottawatami sportsbook bet above the rest here

(04:53):
on ninety seven to three of the game and the
iHeartRadio app an absolute electric crowd. Speaking of crowds, you're
jumping online now right for Wednesday tickets down at the
neighborhood Dump. Let's fill that place with Brewer fans. Oh, well,
find a way.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
And how sweet it would be?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
You know, we sat there and clinched the division in
Saint Louis, ruined that visiting clubhouse with the amount of
sweet bubbly that got sprayed down there. And to sit
there and take the DS at the neighborhood Dump and
ruin their visiting clubhouse with even more sweet bubbly? Oh,

(05:37):
how glorious would that feel?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
So, I mean I was impressed with Brewer fans that
were in Wrigley earlier this year.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Mm hmm, big time.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Try and find a way, just find a way in
there and let your presence be known, because the Brewers
nied you. This was an amazing victory seven to three.
The final, they take game two, and as you heard
on TV, the Brewers have the Cubs in a stranglehold
in this series.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Now they use that word twice. I wonder where they
got that from.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Yeah, I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
The funny thing is is that when you, you know,
and people are just shredding this broadcast both you know,
at me on the Twitter machine and on the text
line here tonight. And the thing is, you know, these
people are so dumb. If you're a national guy and
you're coming to Milwaukee to cover a Brewer game, especially
a Brewer playoff game, you really couldn't have taken five

(06:33):
minutes out of your day and called Tim Allen, are
you are you joking?

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Let's let's have a conversation here.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
You know, it would take five minutes for them not
to sound like idiots.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Well, you know what's funny though, also in Las Vegas, Jeff,
it's like nobody cares about this series. You know, those
of you that have been you know, in Las Vegas
or in a sportsbook as are always you know, even
if there's multiple sporting events going on, if someone scores
a touchdown or someone hits a home run, you hear

(07:05):
a certain number of people just yeah, Andrew Vaughn hit
that home run. Oh man, I could hear it all
the way from the Pottawatami Sportsbook across the nation. It
was just amazing that people that right there by far
was the biggest swing in this game. And if they

(07:27):
don't get that swing, if Vaughn doesn't do his thing,
I'm not convincedly win this game. You went punch and
counter punch, and that had to be demoralizing for the
Chicago Cubs.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
M I mean that part of it.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I mean, I didn't think it could be worse for
the Cubs after taking a one zip lead in Game
one of the series and then you know, three batters later,
you're losing two to one. Okay on three pitches, by
the way, but it get worse for them, and and
that is awesome because now you're up three zip after

(08:05):
a half inning.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
And you give it, give all of that back.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Just incredible, What an incredible win. We're gonna get to
your calls here. Then the first inning here, Cubs were
all over. Ashby aggressive, got Turner on a flyout, put
a base hit from Horner, a walk to Tucker, and then.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
A three run bomb for Suzuki.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
I mean, Jeff again, for those of you just tuning in,
this is the second time I'll say it.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Nobody wanted to be around me at that point.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Did you say, like chucky darn or something like that.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yeah, furniture was moving large pieces.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Of it around rooms.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yes, and it just was wow, Murph, No, where's Quinn Priester,
That's what I was saying, And we probably we all
work where's bringing where's Quintana?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
But you went with Ashby. What Okay?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
So then he worked out of it and the Brewers
trailed three zip. However, Cherio and Turang would strike out
in the bottom of the first inning, both on two
two pitches, so you're working the count a little bit.
How About while Bill a base hit for Contreras, yell,
it's thin with a base hit, one of three that

(09:23):
he had in the game, and that set the table
for the single biggest swing of this game, and.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
It's a hot to fly ball the left field happen
underneath it in front of the world that buston Andrew
Vaughn ties the game with one swing.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
He's done it again.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Oh man, that had to be awesome. When we get
to your phone calls, I want to talk to some
folks that were in that stadium tonight to have observe
and witnessed this one, because at that point right there, that.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Ball just carried and carried and we're all going crazy.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Come out, come out three three the score after the
von Mower home run into the second inning, and now
I'm going no, no, no, no, Murph, no, no, not
Aaron again.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
No, don't don't put him out there for the second inning.
He did.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
We two outs into trouble, a walk to the nine hitter,
by the way, bad calls on that walk. I will
I will defend Ashby on that strike zone A little
bit iffy tonight.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
I will say.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Inning and two thirds of three run ball, that was
it for Ashby. Mears comes in, got Horner to fly out.
That was a tough out, dodged what I thought was
a major bullet sending Aaron Ashby out there for the
second inning, would you have done that pipe bomb?

Speaker 6 (10:57):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Yeah, just because you know it's still so early in
the series, and obviously you know it's a.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Five gamer, and now that we know.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
What the result is and we've only got to win
one of the out of the next three, it doesn't
seem like a big deal. But when you got four,
you know, all hands on deck games. I didn't want
to sit there and burn a bullpen like that, so
I would have thrown Ashby out there for the second.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Okay, brewers in order in the bottom of the second
into the third.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
With Mizerowski entering the situation.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
After a nice play by Durbin, he did walk him
in on four pitches two outs, went full count, got
a little comebacker and took the out himself, and he
was all sorts of fired up after that final out.
I mean, you want to talk about a competitor, and
maybe that's part of the command issues with him, is
that it's just a little bit too emotional. Wow, But

(11:55):
he got the out, pitched a scoreless frame, just all
sorts of fired up into the dugout.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
He was timmy.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
But I think, sorry to interrupt you, I think that
part of the command issues that he was dealing with
is that they kind of told him to chill out
on how you know, demonstrative he was out there out
on the mount and because we didn't see it his
last handful of starts, he wasn't, you know, screaming and

(12:22):
jumping up and down and doing all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
And then that's when the command issues happened.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
And then you know, he pitched good today except a
couple of walks, but uh, you know, you see it
again where he's fired up, and then you also see
him throwing one o three, one oh four again.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
One three and one oh four on the gun tonight
for Mez Momentum to the bottom of the third with
two outs, Contraras onloads.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Contrast with a truncle left field and the Prowers no
doubt shut from William Contreras and Milwaukee leads four to three.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Highlights from TBS and Milwaukee, Yeah, leads four to three.
At that point, they come all the way back off
the matt down three zip four unanswered. After that solo shot,
Yelich would get a base hit as well, and that
was it for Amanaga. Two and two thirds of five
hits and four runs allowed for that performance. Misowski scoreless inning.

(13:30):
A couple of punch outs did walk another man in
that fourth inning that was four to three to the
bottom of the fourth inning. Brewers were back at it.
Bottom of the fourth inning with one out, Durbin gets
hit by a pitch, two outs, big at bat for
Joey Ortez.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
He extended the inning with the two outs.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
And I think that's another big at bat that's probably
gonna fly under the radar here in this Brewers victory
because it did set the table. Now, those of you,
we all know Jackson Surio, and when the moments are big,
big players step up, and this kid has been outstanding.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
It is pipe palm.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
It is like musty TV right now when Jackson Serio
is in the box.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Yeah, you're one hundred percent right.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
When the lights are the brightest, he freaking shines, and yeah,
you cannot take your eyes off the TV when he's up.
Ham String, No, ham string doesn't freaking matter.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Churio just launches.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Just amazing.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
So you're down three zip, you get the three run homer,
you get a solo homer, and then you have two on,
two out in that fourth inning, and here's Jackson Seurio.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Churio in a try set a field there.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
On a three run shot from Shackson Churio and the
Brewers lead seven to three.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Man, are you kidding me?

Speaker 7 (15:02):
Dude?

Speaker 5 (15:03):
That place is up for grabs after that Cheerio. Well
it was up for grabs after all the Homers, But man,
after that Churio just e e lectric.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Unbelievable. This kid twenty one years old doing this in
these big, big games.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
It is truly remarkable.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
And the Brewers down three zip, three run Homers solo shot,
three run home run, seven to three. And you know
it's a cub Brewer series. You're thinking, you know, nothing,
super super comfortable. But after a little bit here, I
really I really started feeling good about it. And and

(15:44):
a lot of times we think, uh, oh, look out,
you know, a man's on and you're a.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Little shaky, and it's say, no, I didn't. I don't
want to say it, so I won't.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
But I did feel comfortable with this game when they
were upset and they go on for the victory at
seven three, using as many arms as it took to
get this victory. Find a way, find a way to
get out efor out. It got to the seventh inning,
I'm like, okay, we can start counting outs now. And

(16:18):
at that point I was all about the leadoff hitter.
Just get the leadoff hitter each of those innings. Get
the leadoff hitter and you're in great shape.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
And they were.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
They set down the final fifteen Cub batters and Craig Counsel.
There was a lot of Craig Council cam in this one,
and he did not look happy.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
No, no, Greg looked like he smelled the fart all
game long.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
And I think that's because.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
His head is so far up his own nahass. But
that's neither here nor there. But yeah, it's so great
to see man, And that's why you know, before the series, Tivvy,
you know, but we were talking down to stretch in
the regular season and you said.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Oh, I want that council.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
I want to see his reaction when he checks the
out of town scoreboard. And I said, well, then let's
bring on the Cubs in this series and get it
all game long. And we've had it and it's ben glorious.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
So you have Misowski with three scoreless, you have a bullpen,
just amazing back end of that bullpen. It was nice
to see McGill kanig. You Rebay do their thing. Mirrors.
You have the three run home runs plural three total
home runs for the Milwaukee Brewers. That well, they don't

(17:33):
hit home runs, they just do their thing. Well, they
do hit home runs, and they hit two large home
runs in this one.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
There's something to.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Reckon with here, this Brewer squad. And they're starting to
turn heads a little bit. They know it and they're
feeling it.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Now.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
You got to take that to the road, one of
the better road teams, if not the best road team
in all of baseball. You got to take it down
to Chicago in about forty eight hours and get it
done less than forty eight hours and get that thing
done and move on to the NLCS, which is where
we expect this team to be.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Right, what was your favorite part of this game?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
So you look at asby starting and oh, whoops, that's
what Bill Schmid texted me after that.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Oops, just a little oops.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
But this teamwork, this chemistry. You know, they didn't flinch.
They didn't flinch on the solo home running game one,
They didn't flinch flinch here on the three run home
run here in game two, and then they just come
back and do their things. So it could have been
the Vaughn homer, could have been the Cherio three run blast.
Maybe it was the back end of that bullpen. Maybe

(18:42):
it was Miserowski and his performance tonight. What was your
favorite part of this game as the Brewers outside of
the final score, that's always at the top of the list.
Seven to three, the final the Brewers take game two
of this NLDS in the twenty twenty five championship season, and.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
We're talking about it here.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
We'll open up the phone line so everybody gets fair shot.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Grab your phone, start.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Dialing righty now, okay uh nicolay law dot com talking
text line eight seven seven seven nine to four, one
ninety seven to three. We'll get to your calls. We're
gonna get to Pat Murphy coming up. We'll maybe here
a little little bit of Craig counsel. If the crabviier
he is, the more I want to hear him.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Oh, of course, you never want to hear a happy Greg.
You always want to hear him pissed off and angry.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yes, yeah, that's and that's what we're hoping for tonight.
I I can't see he's going to be too pleased.
Brewers take it to the Cubs once again, the final
seven to three with three home runs and a bullpen day,
Game two of the NLCS.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
And you have a bullpen day. What is he? What
is he doing? Murph? Oh?

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Always winning? Yes, that's that's that's what he's doing, all right?
Postgame show with Potawantomy Sportsbook Bet above the Rest Playoff edition.
Here there's jeff Orlowski, the Polish pipe bomb Tim Allen
celebrating once again Brewers beat the Cubs in the playoffs
and have a stranglehold on the series.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
We'll be back here on the game. What a win,
What a game?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Welcome back Potawantomy Sportsbook Bet. Above the Rest are presenting
sponsor here on the postgame show on ninety seven to
three the game in the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
We are awaiting Pat Murphy to get to the podium.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
We need to hear from him as the Brewers get
a seven to three victory and we're talking about it.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Pipe Bomb, Tim Allen, We've been with you.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
For over a half a year now and we get
to this point, two to lead in the best of
five in the NLDS. One more and it's off to
the NLCS here in the twenty twenty five championship season.
Nicolay Law dot Com talk in text line at eight
seven seven seven nine for one ninety seven to three
and we'll start things out in Virginia on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
We say hello to Austin.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Austin your first up here, Brewers get a seven to
three win.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
A franchise huge win, Buddy. I mean, this is so
such a great feeling being up to to two games here.

Speaker 9 (21:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:23):
I remember the first time I called you guys twenty
eighteen NLCS Game six, after that big win against the Dodgers.
Definitely feeling the same vibe with this team. I think
this team is ready to roll. It's great to see
that bullpen and I don't know, Miss it was good
to you know, you took him a little bit to

(21:43):
settle in, but it was good to see to see
him get going and and I mean it was it
was just it was just great. One big point I
wanted to bring up is I feel like this, you know,
for this series. I think the success of this lineup
is really gonna be based on more that bottom of
the bottom part of the lineup and Dean Ortiz, you know,

(22:07):
I think he was absolutely vital in that three run
homer for Cheerio. All that was with two outs and
that sharp based you know, Durban got hit, got hit,
hit by pitch, but you know Orties with that sharp
single to center with two outs. I mean that really
kind of set the stage for Cheerio to get that
big hit. And I really think him and Perkins and

(22:32):
and and Durban are really gonna need to keep going
like they've they've been and to have that type of success.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
No, you're right, you're really released. Yeah, you are absolutely right.
All right, we're gonna we're gonna move. But great hearing
from you again. Let's do it again call us during
the NLCS hopefully all right, Yeah, no, you you can't.
Let's not underestimate what Joey Ortiz has done thus far
in the series. Pipe bomb, a couple of walks in

(22:58):
Game one, a couple of hits here, and Austin's right
on the money. We opened with the show in pointing
out and addressing that at bat to extend the inning
for Jackson Cerio's ultimate three run home run. But yeah,
Joey Ortiz on base four times in the two games.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Yeah, he sure, man, he's been electric and you know,
of course we're paying attention to Joey O. We've been
on team Joey since day one, never waivered, and so yeah,
it's really good to see. And that was a huge
ad bad to extend the inning for sure.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Now, just a little heads up on these phone calls here.
We may have to break away to Pat Murphy as
we're going to take that live as he is not
yet at the podium.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
But you had a shout out pipe bomb.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Yeah, I got to give a shout out here.

Speaker 10 (23:50):
Now.

Speaker 5 (23:50):
All you guys that listen all the time, you know
that we shout out the military, our veterans, We shout
out you know, first responders, police, fire, paramedics, especially those
those heroes when with Bell Ambulance. But Don wood chillis
a friend of the show, friend of the station, hosts

(24:11):
of the soon to be award winning Wisconsin Sports Sunday
and the College Sports show.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Guy just works like crazy.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
He sent me in a text after game one and
and I wanted to do this then because he was
on the on the shuttle heading back from the game
to Natty Oaks, and I was thinking, and I don't
think we've ever shouted out to shuttle drivers, and what
a glorious.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Job that those guys and gals.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Do, uh not only you know, allowing every getting everybody
to the game and back safely, allowing everybody to have
adult fun, make sure that people aren't making poor driving decisions,
everything like that. And then the kicker was is that
you know, he was on the Natty Joaks shuttle, you know,

(25:02):
big friends at the station at Natty Yaks there and
they had the postgame show on in the van that
was driving.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Back and forth.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Oh beautiful.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
So you know, just to shout out all the shuttle
drivers from you know, every bar, every place that does
a shuttle, whether it's Natty Oaks, Spitfires, Stenny's, whether it's
Dugout fifty four Potawatamies, rocking shuttles. Now, shout out to
all you guys and gals sitting there doing good work

(25:33):
and keeping people safe.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
You know what, in the twenty years of doing this
postgame show, I think only one other time the shuttle
drivers were brought up.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Just one time in twenty years. We got to change that.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Yes, sir, you guys and those of you on the shuttles,
it's okay to tip the driver.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Oh yeah, it's more than okay, it's highly recommended.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yeah, everybody flipping my five right now.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Tip your bartenders for bringing you a cold one. You
can tip the person who's saving you thousands of dollars
for a potentially poor driving decision.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
That's true. Shuttle drivers.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Uh, we're still looking for our first official shuttle driver
of the postgamer Club. Yes, so if you want to
check in with us, we'll w that. All right, let's
get back to you guys. Let's go to Bob. Bob,
you're next year on ninety seven to three of the
game two to zh Brewers up in the series.

Speaker 9 (26:32):
One O three one oh three, one oh four.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Wow, they unleashed.

Speaker 9 (26:40):
I text you that picture. I don't know if you
got it as a scoreboard showing that.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 9 (26:46):
I got to go to the game Saturday, and I
was one of the fortunate people that was able to
go on the field and hold that one hundred yard flag.
Nice and that when they stretch it out and you're
pulling on it, you get to be my age. Just

(27:08):
quite a pull, but I felt like a twelve year
old kid, tim. It was just incredible. Two things I
just want to say real quick about the game tonight
after the Cubs scored after that first inning, between innings,
you know, the cub fan for sharing, but the mood

(27:30):
of the crowd was was more. It wasn't disappointment or anything.
It was like, hang on a second, and it was
people were not there was this confidence that you know,
all laugh it up now, just wait a minute. And

(27:50):
that's how it felt. And it was incredible. I think
one of the most overlooked parts of the game was
the use of McGill to bring him in and only
have to get two outs. See how he's going to
do where you got the lead and he looked good.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
That's a that's a great point because we were wondering, well,
when miguil gets back and healthy, is he still going
to be the closer?

Speaker 4 (28:13):
And and hell, we don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
He's still ultimately may close a game or two in
the postseason here, but yeah, that's a great point to
have mcgil with left Lester.

Speaker 9 (28:24):
Yeah, to bring him in to get two outs, you know,
to bring him in in a relief situation to get
too I mean and say, yeah, he's not going to
get the save and he's not gonna but you know,
Coney had the first one. He had to get those two.
But man, starting in nineteen seventy, Mom used to write

(28:46):
notes to the school just saying Bob won't be there today.
He's an opening day. My mother said, I'm not gonna
I'm not gonna lie. I am telling you're sick.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Yeah, I mean my parents same thing. Uh, you know,
late seventies, you know that. That was just yeah, if
you we're gonna go to opening day, fine, you're going
to opening day. In fact, one of them, my thing
was rained out and I got to go two days
in a row.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
So school there. Yeah, Bob, thank you.

Speaker 9 (29:24):
Real quick learning. The only dumb driving decision that I
saw was people dumb enough to drive up here from
Chicago to watch their team get humiliated.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Yes, sir, love poor driving decision.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Bob, thank you, all right, thank you? Uh yeah, seven
to three the final.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
That's that's good stuff from Bob eight.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Seven seven seven nine, seven to three on the Nicolay
Law dot Com talking texta line, let's go to Ryan,
you're up next here on the game.

Speaker 11 (29:57):
What's up boys? How you doing?

Speaker 3 (29:59):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (29:59):
B more important? Thor you are?

Speaker 8 (30:02):
What a fabulous night?

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Uh? Beautiful this afternoon.

Speaker 8 (30:08):
I was like, oh, come on, do not start him.

Speaker 12 (30:12):
He never starts.

Speaker 8 (30:14):
Murph is playing it perfectly.

Speaker 13 (30:18):
Yes, at the beginning of every game.

Speaker 14 (30:21):
So far, he's playing it perfect yes.

Speaker 15 (30:24):
And the other is, uh, when.

Speaker 14 (30:27):
You see council after the bondmore rip that out of there.

Speaker 8 (30:34):
Him in his stupid sweatshirt was short.

Speaker 16 (30:37):
He doesn't he didn't wear.

Speaker 14 (30:39):
A sweatshirt, right, come on, Greg?

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Well, and I loved it because what did what did
his sweatshirts say? Cubs built for October or something like that?

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Is that what it said?

Speaker 17 (30:51):
Oh yeah, Mizraelki.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
After one inning, I was like, get him out of there.

Speaker 12 (31:00):
Then Murphy the smartest person on the planet.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Two more innings, Well, it seems like he is just
so far ahead of all of us, doesn't it. I mean,
it's just were you find yourself questioning him and then
all of a sudden it works out and you're like,
why did I question him? I mean, it's just been amazing. Ryan,
we got a scoot. I want to get as many
people as we.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
Can in here.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Eight seven, seven, seven, nine, four one ninety seven to three. Yeah, yeah,
I mean I didn't agree with you know, starting to
ask be I mean I didn't hate it, but I didn't.
I was like, I would would have went with Priest
or Kingtana and I'm a priest thing is he healthy?

Speaker 4 (31:46):
I mean, I would have went with Priester.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
But but again, now you go to uh Wednesday in
game three, is he going to start down there in
Chicago again or is that going to be King Tana
and then a piggyback of Priest.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
Yeah, that's a that's a possibility, you know, I because
of how late it is in the season. Usually down there,
the wind is blowing out big time in the middle
of the summer. So you know, I could understand if
the playoffs were in July or August and you want
to save Priester a groundball guy, uh, you know, for

(32:25):
to sit there and pitch down there. Now, I don't know,
but it worked, so you know who cares. But if
you sit there and you start uh Quintana and then
go to Priester or vice versa, oh.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Giddy up. You gotta say you love your chances in
game three?

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Absolutely either way, good point, yeah, either way either way
they go.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
How about Chad Patrick today too? You look dynamite.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Saint Patrick sent down from the heavens. Oh that was glorious.
He was great.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
I was yelling at the TV. It's Saint Patrick's. I
thought he was going to strike out the side I
did too.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Yeah, all right, let's go to Harley, true American hero.
Harley a seven to three Brewers win. They're up to
zero in the best of five.

Speaker 18 (33:13):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 16 (33:14):
It doesn't get much better than this, does it.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Wow? No, sir, And.

Speaker 16 (33:21):
Two things I recognized yesterday and tonight was that just
how much Murphy out coached Council. I mean, Murphy was just.

Speaker 18 (33:35):
In the dugout tool collective and Council is over there
constipated pulling his hair out.

Speaker 9 (33:43):
I mean he just.

Speaker 11 (33:47):
And real quick, you know, when I saw this aspy.

Speaker 18 (33:52):
Starting and everything. And then when MS came in, I
texted two words and my brother in law own no,
but again and Murphy. We trust the guy, you know,
every time he questioned him, at least when I do,
he proves me wrong.

Speaker 6 (34:14):
Yeah you know.

Speaker 11 (34:15):
Yeah, so those are the comments I have And uh,
you know, go brew crew, and uh, let's keep this
thing rolling.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
All right, thanks, thank you, Harley. Yeah, let's keep it
rolling with a lockout. We got this series winner.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Oh, absolutely, we got word for for game three, Quinn
Priester will start.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
For will start in game three.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
On Wednesday, Murphy said he had no plans to pitch
Priester tonight.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Okay, so that was the plan the whole time was
to go Priester game three. What does that say about Kingtana?
Then they just want more time with him, uh, to
heal up from the calf.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
It's possible.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
But the the whole thing that's weird is that you know,
after game one Murphy wouldn't give a decision on who
was going to start game two, and then wouldn't it
had come out this morning, and then all of a
sudden right now tonight that he's announcing Priester for game three.
I don't understand why you're not rocking with the same
gamesmanship that you did after game one.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Well, if it were me, and I don't know what
kind of brotherhood or handshake agreement that some of these
teams have with each other about when you post your
lineup and if you're gonna do late changes or do
you announce your starters, et cetera. If I didn't have to,
I would tell them zero. You don't get any preparation.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, you do it hockey style lower body injury.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
And that's it. You don't say anything until you absolutely
have to.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Indeed eight seven seven seven nine four one ninety seven
three on the nicolay law dot Com talking text line
postgame show with Potawatomy Sportsbook the rest seven to three
Brewers take Game two of the NLDS here in the
twenty twenty five championship season, and we're talking about it
once again here on the game.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
All right, pipe bomb, who's next?

Speaker 3 (36:11):
Yeah, let's get in Mark before the break here.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Mark, Welcome to the show. Welcome to the celebration.

Speaker 8 (36:20):
Boys, boys.

Speaker 19 (36:21):
I was there at opening day, got boat raised h
and four. Things were looking bad and to think where
we are now, unbelievable. I was lucky enough to come
to the game tonight. I was there with my ten
year old son, fully.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
Festooned in rub garb love it.

Speaker 19 (36:37):
And we we were deep in the left field upper
deck and couldn't actually see the Vaughn home run go
over the fence. You could kind of almost see it,
and just to hear the stadium go berserk without seeing
it happen. What a moment, What a probably my best
moment at ampam and a fantastic win for the boys,

(36:57):
so super excited about it that mis got the win,
go to Chicago.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Absolutely nicely done, Mark, thank you, thank you very much. Yeah,
it just seemed so electric in that park man man,
oh man.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
Who that may be?

Speaker 2 (37:16):
That may be, guys, depending on what happens moving forward,
that may be one of the things that automatic automatically you.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
Remember about the twenty five postseason.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
It might be that von home run, just because the
synergy of oh my gosh, you are you kidding me?
Suzuki just hit a three run bomb and then in
the bottom half or you're gonna remember this, remember the lawn,
the Von mower, remember they got him from Savalley and
the blah blah blah blah blah blah, and then it's

(37:52):
gonna be Yeah, he hit the three run home run
and it was tied at three.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Start over that is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Yeah, gosh, was I yelling? Oh my, I'm surprised I
have a voice.

Speaker 5 (38:04):
Honestly, Well, wow, it worked out for you really good.
And yeah, this was great, you know, kind of a
carbon copy of Game one lead off Homer, Cubs jump
out early and then the Brewers just stop them.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
And take it to them. Game three, you get in
there and punch them in the face. Game just end it,
be done, be gone with. You don't give them any
chance of life.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
There, no, right, no, you don't want to give them
any hope. And if you jump out to a three
or four nothing lead early, you know, hell, Okay, he
told me not to say anything on the air. I'm
getting text from Colin Ray already saying, hey, bro, when
are we golfing next week? So you know, they're already
making their winter plans and so you know, jump out

(38:54):
on them early. Let's let's jump out to the early
lead against them for once instead of having to come
back all the time. But you know, but that's kind
of been the Brewer's way as of late.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah, count them out and you're making a mistake, and
well we're talking about it.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
We appreciate you guys tuned in.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Still a lot to get to here on tonight's postgame show,
Playoff Edition presented by Pottawanamy Sportsbook bet above the rest
Jeff Roloski Tim Allen a seven to three Game two
victory of the NLDS. Here in the twenty twenty five
championship season, Murphy we'll hear from him next stick around
ninety seven to three the game in the iHeartRadio app.

(39:34):
All right, welcome back Brewers. One win away from taking
the NLDS in a suite. Well, we'll get more on
that coming up in just a bit. A seven to
three win here in game two, and we are talking
about it here as always on the postgame show with
Potawatamy Sportsbook Bet above the rest a playoff edition, there's

(39:55):
Pipe Bomb and Tim Allen. You guys have been hanging
out with us. So for about ahime half a year,
just a minute or two.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Or twenty years whatever.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Or twenty right.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
This year, we've been riding that roller coaster a little bit,
and uh, we're seeing some things come to fruition here
and starting.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
To pay off.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Before we get to Pad Murphy, let's squeeze in a
couple more calls here on the Nicolay Law dot Com
talking text line at eight seven seven seven nine four
one ninety seven to three, and we go to Troy,
What up, t Roy Jenkins?

Speaker 4 (40:28):
What's going on? Troy?

Speaker 9 (40:31):
Hello?

Speaker 20 (40:31):
Hey guys, first time caller man, Thank you?

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Oh, welcome in, Yeah, welcome to the family.

Speaker 20 (40:37):
Hey, front office number one, Yes, number two, MRK number
three or tease. They just keep dissing him. He's only
a defensive player.

Speaker 21 (40:49):
What a stick?

Speaker 4 (40:51):
Yeah, we'll take it. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (40:53):
No.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
And the one add bat to extend the inning into
Turio's three run homer. I mean you could say the
Vaughn home run was pivotal. I think it was just
as pivotal or a near as just as near as
you can get the Chario three run home run in In
order for that to happen, it had to be Joey
Ortiz with that base hit.

Speaker 11 (41:14):
It was.

Speaker 20 (41:14):
But you know what, the media just keeps doing us
a favor. They keep putting a chip on our shoulder.

Speaker 8 (41:20):
They just keep there's no love, you know.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
I didn't catch a lot of of tbs. And and
is that Darling?

Speaker 4 (41:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:29):
I think ron is his name, Rick or Roger Roger.
I think it's Roger Darling or something like that. Everything
was from the Cub's perspective, the parts that I did
here not I mean maybe earlier in the earlier in
the game it was, but mid and late game.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
Randy Darling.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
He uh, it seemed like everything was from the cub perspective. Again,
I can't say it enough because that's kind of what
it was.

Speaker 11 (42:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 20 (42:01):
Hey number four defense, Oh my god. Yeah, their defenses.
Their defense is awesome.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Yeah yeah, Hey, that's part of their game. That's part
of how they win. That's preventing runs. It is almost
like scoring runs. Well, welcome to the Postgameer family, Troy.
We appreciate that. We'll talk again.

Speaker 9 (42:23):
All right, thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
All right, you got it. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Let's get Mike in here before we hear from Brewers
manager Pat Murphy.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Mike, you're on ninety seven through the game.

Speaker 21 (42:34):
I appreciate every time you take my college him. Man,
this is awesome.

Speaker 9 (42:39):
I am.

Speaker 6 (42:40):
I'm fired up.

Speaker 21 (42:41):
And what's awesome about this is, you know they have
the council cam and you just see him just sweating
it out. And Murphy just knows every little button the press.

Speaker 15 (42:53):
So you know, people were upset about.

Speaker 21 (42:56):
The ashby start.

Speaker 8 (42:57):
What did that do?

Speaker 21 (42:59):
The best hitter, Michael Bush, the lefty.

Speaker 12 (43:04):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (43:05):
Yeah? It took him out, Yep, took him out.

Speaker 8 (43:08):
He's he's their best hitter.

Speaker 15 (43:11):
And he put in Justin Turner. And you said, I
heard you today.

Speaker 21 (43:16):
Get that first out, Get that first out, Get Justin Turner.
Out and uh and and so I was just screaming
that in my living room, man, and you called it,
get him out and he did.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
Yeah, get to get that first out. And now it
did erupt a little bit after that. But you are
right on it, though, Michael Bush.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
I don't know. I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Talk too much about about the Cubs and their strategy,
but let council keep tinkering.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
Let him tinker himself all the way into the off season.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
It's yeah, well, and that's the thing it is. It
is a little desperation now for the Cubs. Now, if
they trail I'll make a prediction here on Wednesday, if
the cub trail in that game mid game, say fourth, fifth,
sixth inning range, if they trail by a couple of runs,

(44:07):
look for one of those Cubs. If not, Council to
start doing a distraction, start doing a Wilson Contreras type thing.

Speaker 4 (44:16):
I don't know what it's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
I can't predict that, but when you get into desperation
mode like that, watch for that on Wednesday.

Speaker 21 (44:23):
And I'm gonna say we start Kintana just because of
the Michael Bush factor. And then if there is a
Thursday Gaster is the opener for Priester just again for
the bush back. I mean, Murphy is so far ahead
of the game with us guys, and I do want
to I know, you gotta go. And you got so

(44:44):
many callers. Man, you got your great show. But the
Contrera's home run. Did you see him with the cell
phone call.

Speaker 5 (44:51):
Call the bullpen, Call the bullpen? Greg Oh, I loved
his celebration.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Yes, yes, that was awesome. All right, Mike, Hey, great,
here from you again.

Speaker 21 (45:03):
I can't wait to listen to the rest of it. Man,
appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
Yes, you got it. Gosh. You know I can hear
the smiles on your face.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
I can me too, and you can see the smiles
on your face. Just a big win, putting the series
in that stranglehold. As they were saying on TVs a
couple of different times, as uh, we're going to go
back to those of you on hold if you want
to jump on. I think there's one line open at
eight seven seven seven nine four one ninety seven three

(45:35):
on the Nicolay law dot com talking text line. We'll
get to more reaction after the Brewers seven three win win.
But we do have to hear from our buddy, Pat Murphy,
here's the Brewers manager.

Speaker 11 (45:46):
Well, I wasn't worried, but I was.

Speaker 6 (45:57):
The thurnating to score some runs, but thought it would
take more.

Speaker 10 (46:02):
We can't worry about what you just got to play
the pitch, right, can't worry about what might happen, play.

Speaker 12 (46:08):
This next pitch? All right, Checks, it's a cool ad.

Speaker 6 (46:13):
Huh.

Speaker 12 (46:15):
Tired me too?

Speaker 6 (46:17):
Okay?

Speaker 10 (46:18):
Anybody knew any new introductions we need to have You
guys are trying to mate me on this. I know
there's some new people in the room somewhere, somebody find one.

Speaker 12 (46:27):
There's a new person here.

Speaker 10 (46:29):
Anybody will show former athletic director Marquette University hired Shaka
smart ha huh? Here today Kevin is Kevin Corgan with
us Kevin Corgan national?

Speaker 12 (46:44):
How many times three? Two national championships?

Speaker 10 (46:47):
Notre Dame across writing for the Notre Dame South Bend Gazette.

Speaker 12 (46:55):
What do we got anybody else?

Speaker 6 (46:56):
New?

Speaker 22 (46:56):
Many new people? All right, all right, let's do it.
First question from her, sorry, Kurt, Third round the middle.

Speaker 23 (47:16):
Murph, where was your confidence level and miz going into it?
And where is it now? And was tonight just to
kind of as he goes. You kept him in there
depending on how he was looking.

Speaker 12 (47:25):
I mean we were thinking.

Speaker 10 (47:28):
Somewhere between thirty and fifty pitches and we were thinking
that he let us know he was gassed. Is very
emotional and you know, you guys know what he's been through.
But he responded, and I think that's a really good sign.
Was one of the keys to the game, and there
was a lot of them. You know, this game is
in a lot of different parts.

Speaker 12 (47:47):
But I mean miss stepped up.

Speaker 10 (47:51):
You guys get all enthralled with the mph. I'm enthralled
with that. He wasn't given up free basis, kept his composure. Yeah,
runners and that type of thing. So yeah, William again
contraras that an unbelievable game, not only offensively, but he
had a great game defensively too, and.

Speaker 12 (48:12):
He got him through that.

Speaker 10 (48:13):
He caught seven pictures tonight, a lot with inexperienced, never
been in the playoffs, and he navigated it pretty well.

Speaker 22 (48:23):
Stay in that third row.

Speaker 24 (48:25):
Pat Mazarowski is so emotional and that's that's just part
of his DNA.

Speaker 12 (48:29):
Do you know him?

Speaker 22 (48:30):
No, I just don't just looking at him right, Okay,
I mean, do you have.

Speaker 24 (48:33):
To harness that at all, dude, especially in the postseason
game to any conversation with him about just kind.

Speaker 22 (48:38):
Of chill controlling that. I don't know, dud.

Speaker 10 (48:41):
I mean, you got to let him express himself. But
then you got to watch and see if he comes
back to where he needs to be. It's hard, you know,
it's like they came off the mountain second.

Speaker 25 (48:53):
Inning in it.

Speaker 12 (48:54):
You know, he was ranting and raven and I gave
him a little life. Okay, stay with it.

Speaker 10 (49:01):
But you know he's here at the highest level for
a reason, and he's been through some ups and downs.
So I think he's pretty pretty aware and pretty un
high alert, you know.

Speaker 22 (49:16):
Grow to the second row here towards the middle.

Speaker 26 (49:22):
Or if this offense so predicated on just base hits, singles, doubles,
but three home runs the big difference tonight? How does
that feel watching your offensive production come from the long
ball instead.

Speaker 12 (49:33):
Of just space hits. Anytime, you know, home runs are thrown,
they're not they're not.

Speaker 10 (49:38):
Created, you know, I mean, they're thrown, and you know, we.

Speaker 12 (49:43):
Took advantage of that.

Speaker 10 (49:44):
And sometimes that happens for us during the season. Sometimes
we have to win other ways. But the key is
you got to find a way. And if you have
different ways to win, if you just rely on one thing,
it's it's harder to win.

Speaker 12 (49:59):
So I'm really pleased we did.

Speaker 10 (50:01):
I mean Vaughn's home run and then and then uh,
Controra's and and Chario's homers. I mean, was the difference
in the game. But you don't see that from the
Brewers very often, but it was.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
It was great it.

Speaker 10 (50:13):
Did you know Contraras's pitch wasn't really a home run pitch,
but he pulled his hands in really well.

Speaker 12 (50:19):
Vaughan did a great job of getting it out in front.
And uh, Cherio's ball.

Speaker 10 (50:27):
That kid is I mean, he shows he posts in
the in the biggest games of the year, going to La.

Speaker 22 (50:35):
Mont far right in the second round.

Speaker 12 (50:39):
Did you introduce yourself yesterday and today? Are you just
sneaking any I think the first thing I was here,
did you introduce yourself?

Speaker 4 (50:46):
Well?

Speaker 24 (50:46):
No, mom, popes Kind Tribune? What's that little mom pops
Chico Tribune. I want to ask you about.

Speaker 12 (50:51):
I don't think you introduce yourself. You try to sneak
out of that.

Speaker 24 (50:54):
I caught you, Andrew Vaughan. You mentioned just just what
has he meant to the ball club. Really since since arriving.

Speaker 10 (51:02):
Yeah, he's been a great addition. I mean, he's a
great young man. The game humbled him. He's in triple
A and he's struggling in triple A and the game
humbled him. And it just goes to show you how
mental this game is, and how much of this game
to do with our mindset. And then him getting this
opportunity because of an injury, and then another guy opted out.

Speaker 12 (51:23):
And we weren't.

Speaker 4 (51:24):
We weren't.

Speaker 10 (51:24):
He wasn't first on the list to bring up, and
then all of a sudden, he gets his opportunity, doesn't
say a word, keeps his head down. First game, gets
a great pitch to hit from Yamamoto. You know, it's
a three run. Homer feels the energy, and he just
played off at the rest of the time. And now
I'd say he's back into a spot where he feels
great about who he is and how he contributes. Tremendous teammate,

(51:48):
tremendous baseball mind, always studying the game.

Speaker 12 (51:53):
It's been a joy to be around him. I mean,
I don't know how.

Speaker 10 (51:55):
Many games he's been here, but you guys would know.
But he's Yeah, and the team trusts him. I just
trust him defensively. Also, we heard like he's a little
shake in his Kid's been unbelievable defensively, and it's all
about who he's become and how he feels like he
can help.

Speaker 12 (52:10):
And he's got a real role on the.

Speaker 10 (52:12):
Team and people want to be wanted, and you know,
his teammates love.

Speaker 22 (52:18):
It's pretty cool. I'm back to the second round the middle. Murphy.

Speaker 27 (52:23):
You talk a lot about how you respond or your
team responds, or you know, in those moments respond I
think it's.

Speaker 21 (52:31):
Every day I'm just standing, I take a sip, put
it down, responding.

Speaker 27 (52:38):
It's about how the team responds when they get knocked
down or you know, in a fight. And you use
that analogy a lot.

Speaker 16 (52:45):
It's one thing to do that.

Speaker 27 (52:45):
In the regular season, but your team has now done
it twice, you know, after getting hit there in that
first inning, Just what do you think of how your
team has done that the last two games?

Speaker 10 (52:57):
People are wondering, you know, how, how does this team
have the best record in baseball?

Speaker 12 (53:01):
How does this.

Speaker 10 (53:02):
Team where then nobody predicted they'd be over five hundred,
and then we have all the injuries. Certainly nobody was
banking on us. But how did that happen?

Speaker 12 (53:10):
It's the group of people in the room.

Speaker 10 (53:12):
It's the group of people in the room that know
how to wash it off. They know how to bounce back,
they know how to have a bad series and understand
the importance of the next pitch. And that relentless kind
of behavior is, you know, a separator. But don't think
other teams and other guys don't do it too. We've
just got a good collection of guys that you know,

(53:35):
are happy they're in the big leagues. I call them cliffhangers,
you know, guys that don't know if their lockers are
going to be there when they get back to the
to the deal. And that's that's a fun thing. That hunger,
you know, makes us look like we know what we're doing,
you know. I mean, it's pretty cool, especially in this game,
because this game is so in your head and it's
so mental, and it's so based on so many different things.

Speaker 22 (53:56):
Who we got Jack, Jack, well, good Jack Jack?

Speaker 12 (54:01):
Who else you got there?

Speaker 10 (54:03):
William the Jockey, try to do a couple more before
bring those guys up.

Speaker 22 (54:09):
Steve up in the fourth.

Speaker 28 (54:10):
Row, because do you know what your plans are for
a Game three starting pitcher. If ready to announce that
yet or not.

Speaker 12 (54:19):
Game three will be priest.

Speaker 22 (54:21):
Yeah, we'll go to the second round towards the right murvh.

Speaker 29 (54:28):
Maybe not quite highlight reel type plays, but the catch
that Salm made down the line jumping into the sidewall,
the couples.

Speaker 12 (54:34):
That necessary dive.

Speaker 6 (54:35):
I need to know.

Speaker 10 (54:37):
I need to know because he does a lot of unnecessary.
It was necessary. He couldn't have caught it standing still
and that be on the highlight reel.

Speaker 29 (54:44):
Yeah, but that kind of played there. The couple plays
that Vaughan made down the line on some of those
ground balls. What do plays like that do for just
kind of keeping the game under control and not giving
them anything to.

Speaker 10 (54:57):
Go with them of the game. You're not allowing base
runners on ball that can be caught. Bond did a
great job and great feeds. That's not an easy play,
great catch, great feed sales plays you know, sells as
good as there is defensively and the outfield. Yeah, he's
been doing it all year force whether he's going well
at the plate or whether he just plays every pitch hard.

Speaker 12 (55:18):
He's it's special to have a guy like that on
your team and.

Speaker 22 (55:21):
You know, go to the third row towards the right. Yep, Kurt,
I want to ask you a question.

Speaker 10 (55:38):
Who do I talk about the most on this team
every single day?

Speaker 12 (55:43):
Who do I talk about the most.

Speaker 22 (55:48):
In terms of us asking you or you?

Speaker 12 (55:50):
No, no, Who do I bring up the most on
my own saying.

Speaker 23 (55:54):
Contrares got a credit William every.

Speaker 12 (56:00):
Day I bring this guy. I'm just at nausea, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 30 (56:05):
Since you were willing to share that Priests starting game three,
it looked like he was getting loose before the game.

Speaker 10 (56:10):
Could you speak at all about the gamemanship of gamesmanship?

Speaker 4 (56:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 22 (56:16):
Maybe trying to de him out a little bit there,
I don't.

Speaker 12 (56:21):
I mean, we didn't have any plans on throwing Priest today.
There was no plans. He has this throng program that
he does, you know what I mean? And doing a
starring program.

Speaker 22 (56:30):
Yeah. He one more in the second row here that
won't bring up Jackson and lamb.

Speaker 12 (56:39):
Jack Jack. He likes to be referred to as Jack Jack.

Speaker 22 (56:41):
All right?

Speaker 31 (56:42):
Well, speaking of Jack Jack coming in a little banged
up to the game, hits the home run as the
catches the foul ball, has that little collision at first base.
We can ask him, but you know, in your mind,
how did he respond from.

Speaker 10 (56:58):
You know, I mean he's twenty one years old and
doing the things he's doing in the first couple of
games here in the environment, and just just know that's special,
you know that is that's special. You know, we all
wish we could have that factor, that hit factor the
way Jack Jack does, you.

Speaker 6 (57:15):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 12 (57:16):
And I remember when he went to Triple A for
his rehab after his after his injury.

Speaker 10 (57:24):
He went over eighteen with fourteen punchouts and everybody was panicked.
And then the first day in Toronto, the first live
pitch he saw in the big leagues, he had out
of the park and the kid grabbed it and took
it back, but he wasn't satisfied. So then he homered
the next time and then doubled the next time.

Speaker 12 (57:40):
So it's just the guy's got the.

Speaker 22 (57:44):
You know, he hit factor, all right, Mark, thank you?

Speaker 4 (57:48):
What do you got he got there? There?

Speaker 2 (57:50):
He is Brewer's manager, Pat and Murphy and yeah, they
had discussed the priest or ploy.

Speaker 4 (57:58):
Yeah, gamesman, Yeah, is that what they call it?

Speaker 2 (58:02):
Murph Urph Murphy's just like, oh, man, I we had
no plans, had no plans pitch priest today.

Speaker 3 (58:10):
Yeah, I just want to show them warming up right
next to Ashton.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
Yeah, right right there, like it was going to be
a piggyback. But no, no, no, it wasn't. That is beautiful.
That is absolutely beautiful.

Speaker 5 (58:23):
Love it. Yeah, it's great. That's a fun part of baseball.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's uh, that's crazy. All right, Let's
go to Ryan. Get back to the Nicolay Law dot
Com talking tax line. Get in another call or two
before we have to break. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Hey, Ryan, you're up?

Speaker 10 (58:44):
Hello?

Speaker 4 (58:45):
Hello, Yeah, Ryan, you're on the air.

Speaker 14 (58:47):
Hello, that.

Speaker 11 (58:50):
Is you.

Speaker 14 (58:50):
Yes, guys, first time caller. Sorry about the boys. That
was at the last couple of games.

Speaker 4 (58:57):
So that goes beautiful.

Speaker 14 (58:59):
A couple of things I wanted to talk about. Just
mentioned something about the pitching. I listened to the game
religiously all day long, and I don't think there was
one prediction of going, uh Ashby, who'd be go next?
And we hit the conglomeration of six pitchers. I think

(59:23):
they pulled it off great. I don't know if it
was a decoy by ninety seventy three, not just to
let any of the news out what's going on? But
what are you guys thought on on murphed approach there?

Speaker 2 (59:34):
Yeah, you know, I mean it went according to plan
outside of a big three run home run given up
the assby and that was big all right, all right,
but thank yeah, thank thank you for the call.

Speaker 4 (59:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:47):
He went with Merors after that and then into Mazerowski
and then the rest of the bullpen. I think the
only curveball I think that I thought was the Patrick
appearance here. I wasn't shocked by it, but I was like, oh, okay,
it makes sense though. It made total sense to bring

(01:00:08):
in Chad Patrick to get to the big boys in
Knig McGill and your rebay. All right, let's go to
Ron Ron your next in ninety seven to three of
the game, what's up Ron?

Speaker 6 (01:00:22):
Okay?

Speaker 15 (01:00:22):
There, I got three relatively quick points. Number One, the
atmosphere for these two games have got to be two
of the greatest sporting event atmospheres I've ever been present
for in my life. Wow, it's just been amazing. And
Number two, I think when we're talking about who's gonna

(01:00:46):
start the next couple of games, I think we're gonna
makes a lot of sense because you start preester in
the day game when if the win's gonna blow out
at all.

Speaker 14 (01:00:54):
It's usually during the day at Ridley.

Speaker 15 (01:00:56):
You want the sinkerballer, so then you pitch kin Kana
in the night game when theoretically the ball doesn't carry
as well. There, that's all I'm thinking that goes into
those decisions, to be honest, and he got no.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
I'm with you on the Yeah, I'm with you on
that run on the preset thing. A socer baller, it's
down if they want to go dig and that takes
them out of their game a little bit. But he
has a a big time ground ball pitcher and keep
that ball on the ground.

Speaker 15 (01:01:26):
Yep. And then the and then the the other. The
other side of it is too. If you knew you
were going to do a bullpen game one time, you'd
rather do it at home in game two up one
game than on the road tied or on the road
behind the game, which you could have potentially had as
the situation. So I think this was just the right
time to do it. But the final thing I wanted
to say, I got a credit for my youngest son

(01:01:48):
for figuring this all out as we were walking out
of the game today, Creig Council's teams are very good
at taking a lead in the first sitting and playoff
games in his career. They've done it nine times.

Speaker 9 (01:02:03):
Bad three and six.

Speaker 4 (01:02:06):
Yeah, wow, I didn't. I didn't realize that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
I thought I had heard the stat Also, I thought
I had heard the stat also that the last what
twelve CUB postseason games, they've straight the last twelve I
have scored three runs or less. Now, obviously all of
that is incredible, consol but that's I thought, that's what

(01:02:30):
I heard on TVs.

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
We'll have to check it out. But that is crazy.

Speaker 15 (01:02:34):
Bad, Yes it is. That's an epic slide right there.

Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
Is all right?

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Ron, thank you, thank you, Yeah, thank you. I've been
talking around for a long long time. One more thing,
Johnny before the break here, Johnny, a huge win, and
I think I'm just gonna turn the microphone over to you.

Speaker 9 (01:03:02):
What's up boys? How you doing, Tim?

Speaker 8 (01:03:04):
How was your trip to Vegas?

Speaker 4 (01:03:06):
It's always a beautiful thing.

Speaker 9 (01:03:10):
Well, Viva Las Vegas.

Speaker 21 (01:03:11):
I'm gonna start calling you Elvis the rest of the postseason.

Speaker 18 (01:03:15):
How's that?

Speaker 21 (01:03:18):
And the godfather of metal pipe my boy, how you doing, dude?

Speaker 9 (01:03:22):
How you doing tonight?

Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
Manad happy head banging Johnny?

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
I love it, man, this was glorious.

Speaker 21 (01:03:30):
Well, I'm gonna tell you tonight is dealer's choice.

Speaker 11 (01:03:34):
I know you went in the.

Speaker 21 (01:03:34):
Big metal fest last month.

Speaker 9 (01:03:36):
Now we're not gonna.

Speaker 21 (01:03:37):
Talk about your boy's blood bladder. Okay, But that other
band you said that you really liked. I think maybe
Unexpectedly was municipal waste?

Speaker 15 (01:03:47):
Am I correct in that?

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Oh yeah, not unexpected They are awesome.

Speaker 8 (01:03:52):
Okay, but it's municipal waste.

Speaker 3 (01:03:54):
Correct, Yes, sir.

Speaker 21 (01:03:57):
Well, I'm gonna tell you that title of the new
album entitled, I'm gonna it's called take a Dump.

Speaker 7 (01:04:03):
We took the biggest dump boys on the cuff.

Speaker 21 (01:04:09):
I mean we're gonna call it the Porta Potty Blues.
I mean that dump hit.

Speaker 8 (01:04:19):
Seven on the Richter scale.

Speaker 7 (01:04:21):
And and you know, actually, you guys, we wouldn't have
time enough to shout out everybody, but I do want
to shout out the dray Nets.

Speaker 21 (01:04:31):
We're both at the game tonight, and their head Mary,
Yes they were.

Speaker 7 (01:04:37):
Hey.

Speaker 21 (01:04:37):
Their hairdresser, Mary lives in Park Falls. She listens to
every damn post game.

Speaker 8 (01:04:43):
Patty so I want to give her a shout out.

Speaker 21 (01:04:46):
I gotta say the whole game, you guys, Kenny, Justin
and I we were texting, and god, we weren't even
up to bat yet in the bottom of the first inning,
and Kenny was I needed the straight jacket. He was
off the chain from playing about Ashby. But I didn't
have any problem tim with Ashby starting tonight.

Speaker 8 (01:05:05):
How about you?

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Yeah, I didn't necessarily necessarily love it. I didn't hate it.
I would have went with one of my guys, King
Tanner or priest or so. Uh so you you went
with a couple of other post gamers.

Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
Uh with Kenny? Is that where you went? Who you
went with.

Speaker 15 (01:05:24):
Tonight?

Speaker 21 (01:05:25):
No, we were just texting watching the game.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Oh gotcha? Gotcha? Gotcha? Gotcha?

Speaker 21 (01:05:29):
Okay, yeah, but hey, I was just gonna say, though,
the biggest point of the game to me was when
God Andrew Vaughn, thank you again, dumb but Aaron sa
Valley getting your butt traded out of town to the
South side of Chicago. I mean Andrew Vaughn. You guys,
Oh my god, that's my favorite brewer to answer back.

(01:05:51):
And the fashion that we answered back when that tied
that Tim right there. I was like, we're gonna win
this game, and I speacause the postseason's past, Okay, in
postseasons past, you know, the Dodgers in eighteen nineteen, with
the Nationals, you know, with the Mets last year. When
we answered back, I knew we were gonna win. Man,
you know, I knew we were gonna win. So anyhow,

(01:06:14):
what else you guys got anything else otherwise?

Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
Come out all right?

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
See you later, See you later, Johnny, Yeah, thank you, yep, Yeah,
we'll see you later. Seven seven three on the nicolay
law dot Com talking text line, Hunter Bombguart was at
American Family Field. We'll get to him, get to the
text messages on the other side. Here as the Brewers

(01:06:38):
take Game two of this best of five NLDS. Here
in the twenty twenty five championship season, the Year of
Yuke rolls on as the Brewers win Game two seven
to three, stick around post game show with Pottawantomy sportsbook
bet above the rest here on ninety seven to three,
the game and the iHeartRadio app a welcome back. It's

(01:07:01):
a celebration of victory Game two of the NLDS and
the Brewers up two to zero and the best of five.

Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
Here in the twenty twenty five championship season.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Oh man, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
postgame show with Potawatami sportsbook bet above the rest, Tim
Allen and jeff Orlowski and a seven to three Brewers victory.
Down three zip after a half inning, down three zip
after four batters, but they come back well off the mat.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
And that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
That's all they got Brewers seven unanswered, three run shot
from Vaughn, solo shot from Contreras, and a three run
shot from Jackson Churio. We're gonna hear from all three
of those guys here in just a second. Let's get
a couple more calls in here before that, and we'll
go to Scott Scott here on ninety seven to three
the game.

Speaker 32 (01:07:55):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 11 (01:07:56):
Guys?

Speaker 32 (01:07:57):
So was at the game tonight? It was amazing, Like
the energy in that place was off the charts. Man,
I cannot say enough. And you know, walking in there
were so many cups fans. When that three run shot
happened in the first they were talking trash and he
saw him everywhere after the first inning. I don't know
where they went.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Back in the hibernation.

Speaker 32 (01:08:20):
Literally, he is literally they just disappeared like they weren't cheering.
They left like it was crazy. It was incredible, but
it was crazy. I have a couple other things I
want to talk about, Man. I listened to that Murph
Prep Constance conference, you know, like ten minutes ago. That
guy is a psychiatrist. Man, He's more of a psychiatrist

(01:08:40):
than a coach. He is reading those guys and telling
what they need to hear to get them to where
they need to be. And I just love it, man,
that small ball mentality and just put it in play
and every once in a while we get lucky and
we hit some home runs.

Speaker 3 (01:08:53):
He is a psychiatrist.

Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
I just wish he'd tell his kid to stop playing
with the microphone.

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
The microphone there, Yeah, that's.

Speaker 32 (01:09:01):
What you guys do for a living. That could be annoying.
I get it. And the and the last things you
have time, man, I just wanted to talk about Miz.
I was blown away. That guy's a closer at heart.
I think that that's what he's gonna do in the
long run. But those innings didn't Two of the innings,
the third outs he took his himself at first.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
Well one of them for sure was yeah, and he
was going completely ballistic after the one. Or he just
he got to come back, or I'm going to take
that thing myself and just go crazy.

Speaker 32 (01:09:33):
But I can't imagine how that kid walked into that dugout.

Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
I think he floated in. He was on a magic carpet.
He just floated in there.

Speaker 32 (01:09:44):
I mean, just the energy in that place.

Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
Guys.

Speaker 32 (01:09:46):
I just cannot stress enough. This is the best baseball
team I've ever seen play in person. That was the
best baseball game I've ever been to.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
That is it was amazing, Scott, Thank you. Yeah, that's
great stuff. Great inside from inside American Family Field. Manly,
you're gonna be next year before we get to Andrew
Vaughan and miss Rowski.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
What's going on, Manly?

Speaker 33 (01:10:12):
Oh my gosh, what a game tonight? Boys, what a
game tonight. I was there again. It was electric, It
was wild. It was just nuts.

Speaker 11 (01:10:21):
And those those cupstands.

Speaker 8 (01:10:23):
They did get a little mouthy.

Speaker 33 (01:10:24):
In the first there, and I just kind of looked
at him and laughed and I said, pull my beer, bitches.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
Excuse my friends, Oh you're printing.

Speaker 18 (01:10:31):
Story about.

Speaker 20 (01:10:37):
It?

Speaker 18 (01:10:37):
Was amazing.

Speaker 33 (01:10:38):
My guys, you guys, you guys. But I just got
to say, I mean, remember the beginning of this season
when everybody was panicked and everybody's saying, these guys aren't
going to make it over five hundred, and just look
at what they did today. Man, the woodpeckers pecked wood
the whole way. We got three bonds. We just hit
everything we can do to pull this game off, and

(01:11:00):
we just showed everybody how tough we are. I mean,
our coach is just like, he's not Manager of the year,
gonna who could be like it's insane.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Absolutely absolutely yep, manly, manly, thank you. And it's it's
interesting you bring that up because I was thinking about
that today too. If there's something wrong with the system,
if this isn't a slam dunk Manager of the Year
for Pat Murphy, aim in that it's just there, there's
something wrong with the system. Keep that in mind, keep

(01:11:33):
that in your back pocket, because it would be outrageous
if he doesn't win it this year.

Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
More so than last year.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
I mean, he's done more this year, been against the
odds this year more than last year.

Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
You better give it to him. I don't know you don't.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
Again, I don't know what goat all goes into that,
but I will just say this, you don't want a
microphone around me if he does not win it?

Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
Oh I do, I do. I think that would be hilarious.

Speaker 5 (01:12:04):
I wouldn't recommend having the microphone on, but yeah, if
he doesn't get it, man call make me the first
call because I want to hear it all.

Speaker 6 (01:12:12):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Geez all right, let's go back to American family Field.
Andrew Vaughn and Jacob Mazerowski in front of the press.

Speaker 31 (01:12:19):
Bool, Andrew, can you take us through that I've got
in the first thing?

Speaker 34 (01:12:24):
Yeah, you know, we'll get two outs and you know,
William gets a huge hit, Yeller gets a huge hit.
You know, I was just trying to keep the momentum going,
you know, have a team at bat there. You know,
I was able to get to pitch like a drive
and you know, definitely definitely a big moment there. And
you know it's the momentum swing that was huge.

Speaker 20 (01:12:44):
MS.

Speaker 17 (01:12:45):
When you come out the maladed first Indian and pitching,
you were super fired up and pumped. What was going
through your mind, especially you know, your first time pitching
in this season.

Speaker 25 (01:12:54):
Yeah, I think it was just that exactly was so
fired up and you know, adrenaline pumping.

Speaker 22 (01:12:58):
You know, didn't really know my feet were but you know,
we landed.

Speaker 25 (01:13:02):
So it was fun.

Speaker 6 (01:13:03):
It's a lot of fun.

Speaker 22 (01:13:05):
Got a third er in the middle.

Speaker 30 (01:13:08):
Building off of that, MERVH talked a little bit about
second time coming in, you know, trying to calm me
down a little bit, say, hey, there's still more work
to do. Just how did you feel like you managed,
you know, the emotions of a game like today.

Speaker 25 (01:13:21):
Yeah, I mean I think I think the whole thing
was just staying fired up, staying at that like adrenaline
pumping and you know, keep going at what I was
doing before in the first inning.

Speaker 22 (01:13:31):
Go to Steve up in the fourth row.

Speaker 28 (01:13:35):
Jacob, Just from your perspective, what was the difference tonight
that allows you to perform as well as you did
after the way you finished the regular season? And was
there any concern in your part at the end of
the regular season about whether you'd be on this on
the NLDS roster.

Speaker 22 (01:13:51):
Yeah, I mean, I mean it's out of my control.

Speaker 25 (01:13:53):
So I mean it's just you know, you see your
name on the list, and you know You're gonna go
and perform how they at you and you know, help
the team win.

Speaker 22 (01:14:03):
Go to Todd in the second round, the right Jacob,
was that the definition of let it eat? As the
players left, pitchers like to.

Speaker 25 (01:14:12):
Say, yes, yeah, I would definitely said I go.

Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
To Kyle.

Speaker 35 (01:14:20):
Andrew pad just talked about just like how this game
is mental. So I was just wondering if you could
just kind of take us through just what this season
has been like for you, just into entirely from you know,
the beginning of the year struggles to you.

Speaker 22 (01:14:31):
Know, now diving in the playoffs.

Speaker 34 (01:14:34):
Yeah, you know, the beginning of the year definitely wasn't
how I wanted it to be. You know, definitely a
really tough part of my career. You know, but getting
traded almost was like an opportunity, you know, going to Nashville,
trying to work my butt off, eventually getting a call,
and you know, trying to take advantage of my opportunity.

(01:14:54):
It's a really hard game, so just trying to go
out there be the best version of myself them, you know,
be like a little kid out there.

Speaker 6 (01:15:02):
Won't have fun.

Speaker 22 (01:15:04):
Kurt Jacob.

Speaker 23 (01:15:05):
For those of us who are unacquainted with the feeling.
Could you describe what throwing over one four feels like?

Speaker 6 (01:15:12):
I mean, I honestly don't know.

Speaker 22 (01:15:14):
I wasn't really feeling anything.

Speaker 25 (01:15:15):
There was so much adrenaline and you know it was
really wasn't feeling anything.

Speaker 22 (01:15:21):
I was just kind of doing it.

Speaker 31 (01:15:23):
Adam Jacob, I was curious if you if you knew
it was one O four, did you peek?

Speaker 36 (01:15:31):
And I guess Andrew as a first basement, do you
ever peak?

Speaker 6 (01:15:34):
And did you turn around and see what the gun said.

Speaker 22 (01:15:37):
When he was warming up?

Speaker 34 (01:15:38):
Actually I was talking to our anyfielders and I go,
he's gonna throw one hundred four right here, and he did,
so it was kind of funny.

Speaker 6 (01:15:46):
But yeah, I definitely took a peak up at the
big poard.

Speaker 25 (01:15:49):
No, I never did, and I'm still walked in with
who's in the box, So you know, there's no maybe
a peak up at what the count is just to
make sure in my head that it's correct, but you know,
nothing crazy clear in the second round.

Speaker 26 (01:16:02):
Walk me through that thought process and you get the
one hopper from Kelly you're walking over to first, you
signal I got this to Vaughan and then you stepped
on was there a little communication between you two and
the head like I got this one.

Speaker 25 (01:16:15):
I was honestly scared to you know, overthrow Von or
do something stupid. So it was more of a I
didn't want to mess something up that It was more
just their drill was pumping and hands kind of locked up,
and I was like, I can beat them.

Speaker 22 (01:16:30):
Let's just take it.

Speaker 36 (01:16:31):
So go third row on the right aisle Andrew springboarding
off of an earlier question. Is there something about the Brewers?
Is there's something about Milwaukee that allows you or any
other player to play their best because it seems as
though there are players who come here they have their
you know, the best part of their careers. Obviously you

(01:16:51):
had as you alluded to some struggles earlier this season
in Chicago.

Speaker 34 (01:16:55):
Yeah, no, I think the biggest thing is, you know,
Murfless guys play. You know, his baseball mind is it's unbelievable.
You know, I feel like he gets each guy individually,
and you know, just let's just go out there and play.
You know, he expects the best from us, which I
think is really important.

Speaker 6 (01:17:13):
He's a guy you want to go.

Speaker 22 (01:17:14):
Out there and play for. We'll take one last one
second row. It's under and the loft.

Speaker 27 (01:17:18):
The fan base has really wrapped their arms around each
of you guys.

Speaker 17 (01:17:21):
Have you guys felt that when you're up to bad
and how much is the crowd really playing to you
guys playing?

Speaker 25 (01:17:27):
I mean, coming in from the bullpen was awesome. I mean,
just hearing the roar when I stepped out was really cool.
So you know, it's it's I mean, it's amazing just
how they've come to us, and it's mean a lot.

Speaker 6 (01:17:41):
Sid He's been unbelievable.

Speaker 34 (01:17:42):
I mean, you know, from the moment I got here,
it felt like, you know, they just open their arms
and you know, give me a hug, and you know,
it's been it's been unbelievable for me and my wife,
you know, we'd.

Speaker 6 (01:17:52):
Love to play. So far, it's been great.

Speaker 22 (01:17:55):
All right, guys, appreciate the time. We'll see in Chicago.

Speaker 4 (01:17:57):
Thank you. All right.

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
There they are Andrew Vaughn and Jacob Mizerowski after the
Brewers Game two victory and the nlds here in the
twenty five championship season.

Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
I like that stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Notice they talked about us, the fans and how they
do hear.

Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
You they do and that is so cool. As the
other thing, that's cool, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Is I love these radio shows postgame, postseason.

Speaker 4 (01:18:29):
Let's go back to the park.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
And hear from these guys and hear from the managers
and just hanging on every pitch. I was noticing that today,
more so in today's game than in Game one, was
the reaction from you guys that were in the park.
And I'm sure it was the same whether you watched
it in the bar or in your living, your room,
or your basement or wherever, just hanging on every pitch.

(01:18:53):
I love that form of baseball.

Speaker 4 (01:18:56):
I just love it. So let's do this a lot more.
Oh that's good. Let's get nine more of these victories.

Speaker 5 (01:19:03):
Yeah, yeah, we need them. We need them so, you know,
but I only want nine. I want to sit there
and take it off the sheet here. But what I
loved in in that pressure and Nate, we're gonna get
to you in one second, is that I love this
self deprecating.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
Uh you know, with Miz and he sat there.

Speaker 5 (01:19:24):
I didn't want to screw anything up, so I was
gonna take it myself because I knew I could beat
him to the bag. I love that, you know, the
kids got all the talent in the world. He's got
to harness his control a little bit. And you know,
obviously he's still learning how to be a big leaguer
and all that, but so far the early results are phenomenal.
But I love the fact that he's still able to

(01:19:46):
poke a little fun at himself, you know. I obviously
the tone would have been a hell of a lot
different if this was a loss instead of a win,
but it just, you know, it brought out the human
side of an amazing young baseball player.

Speaker 4 (01:19:59):
I think it's a good decision.

Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
I know they don't want pitchers running around and acting
like athletes.

Speaker 4 (01:20:05):
Because they're pitchers.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
But to take out take a link out of the
chain of potential, you know, mistake opportunities, I think it
should be done more guys, I really do get get
the pitchers involved. Why throw it when you don't have to.
You can beat the guy to the bag over and
beat him to the bag. Keeps you in tune, keeps
you engaged, keeps you in the game. Probably to a coach,

(01:20:32):
coach and at the professional level would say, Tim, you're nuts.
But I just look at it as less of an
opportunity for something to go wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:20:41):
I know, But then again, this is the same dude.
They tripped over the pitching mounds, So.

Speaker 4 (01:20:45):
Well that's true. Do we want him running around?

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Gotcha, Nate, We'll get to you before we go to Jackson,
Curio and William Contreras.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
Nate, what's going on?

Speaker 13 (01:20:56):
Hey, guys, thanks for taking my call. What an amazing game,
what an amazing season. I've been a Milwaukee fan my
whole life. Young young buck, I remember eighty two driving
around on my bike yelling the Brewers rule when I
was nine years old. I've been saying for months to
all my friends. Yeah, I've been saying to my friends

(01:21:17):
for months. Is the best team since eighty two? Keeping
the big picture in mind, it's all about pitching, right.
So I was not a huge fan of as Be
starting tonight, and when he hung that change up for
a three run Homer, I was biting my fingernails. Right
that said, I wanted to get your guys take on.
It's all about pitching. So, keeping the big picture in mind,

(01:21:39):
I want to win a World Series. We all do, right,
we got to get a lot more. I think if
we're going to win the World Series, we got to
get a lot more out of guys who haven't even
thrown the ball yet, right, so Priester obviously Kintana, and
then what's to deal with Woodriff? Is there any chance
if we make the series that he can pitch? I
haven't heard, be honest.

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
There they're saying, yeah, yeah, they're leaving that door open,
and I'm not sure if that might not be just
we're not going to announce it. You know, we're gonna
keep the other guys for example, I mean, what would
you do, Nate? I mean if you if if you
knew that Woody was done for the year, would you
go ahead and announce that.

Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
I wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
And here's why, I wouldn't make make my opponent at
least waste time studying Brandon Woodruff, agree, and at least
you wasted you know, whether it be a half hour
or twenty minutes, you did waste some time.

Speaker 13 (01:22:37):
Yeah, No, I totally, I totally agree with you. I
just I guess I feel in my gut if we're
going to win the World Series, which should be all
of our goals because we're that good, we're gonna need
more from three guys. We haven't even thrown the ball
yet in this series, which is amazing and not to
mention the fact offensively we got nothing tonight out of
Terrain and we got nothing out of Freelik. And those

(01:23:02):
guys are gonna have their moments too. Oh yeah, So
I couldn't be more optimistic. I just think we're gonna
need more pitching if we're gonna win the World Series
and we're gonna beat what looks to be the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
Hey, Nick, quick question I've got for you.

Speaker 5 (01:23:17):
Uh So, I don't know what time it is, okay,
twelve forty five?

Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
Uh are for old times sake?

Speaker 5 (01:23:22):
Are you gonna hop on your bicycle and ride around
the block yelling Brewers rule again or what.

Speaker 10 (01:23:29):
Not?

Speaker 6 (01:23:29):
Tonight?

Speaker 13 (01:23:30):
Not tonight. I'm in Chewauk in a pretty nice subdivision,
and I don't.

Speaker 12 (01:23:33):
Think they would put up with that.

Speaker 4 (01:23:35):
Yeah, h A wouldn't like that, We wouldn't.

Speaker 13 (01:23:39):
I think I have a good chance of doing that
when we win the World Series. And I'll go back
to my point, I think we're gonna need more guys.
We haven't even thrown yet, which is.

Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
Encouraging, Yeah, very encouraging. I love the point, thank you.
I love the point of Bryce rangg and Southreelick. I
thought the same thing. Today, I'm looking at the numbers
towards the end of the game, It's like, Wow, these guys,
we're bread and butter throughout the season. We haven't heard
from them yet, right, and we're going to you rode
around in eighty two, and I remember late seventies for me.

(01:24:12):
For me, it was a baseball card thing. Pipe bomb.
This will not surprise you. So you sit down in
those days, you sat down on the floor and you
just kind of arranged your baseball cards out on the.

Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
Carpet, right, of course.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
And I would put mine in the like, okay, so
I put way up on on center field. I would
put Gorman Thomas, and then behind the plate would be
Ted Simmons, and then I put Cecil Cooper's card right
there at first base and Jim Gantners. So the whole
thing would be a diamond. And then my brother would

(01:24:47):
come in and scramble them.

Speaker 3 (01:24:49):
All up, just scruffle them all up.

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
He scruffled a lot too, and I didn't like that,
professional scruffler. Let's go back to American Family Field and
here from Jackson Serio and William Contraras.

Speaker 22 (01:25:03):
Okay, we'll get started with Jackson and William first question
for these guys. We can start here in the second row,
right in the middle. I have a question for both
of you.

Speaker 17 (01:25:18):
First, Tario, just what you've been doing so far in
your career in the postseason, how much do you enjoy
being in the big moments and how you talked about
like adrenaline, but how much is that? What else pays
into like you doing what you're doing so far?

Speaker 37 (01:25:43):
And okay, okay, Maximo.

Speaker 6 (01:26:00):
The commune, Yeah, I really just like playing in these moments.

Speaker 38 (01:26:09):
You know, I think you could say it helps me
play at the maximum level that I'm you know, able
to do so. And you know, thanks to God that
I've had the ability to to play in these moments
that that are important and meaningful and you know, get
some of these big hits whenever they're needed, but also
do some of the little things whenever they're needed.

Speaker 17 (01:26:26):
And then for William catching seven different pictures, you had
a you know game doing that as well. And then offensively,
what goes into that just being able to catch so
many guys and still you know, play the way you are.

Speaker 6 (01:26:43):
Look at the chel.

Speaker 9 (01:27:06):
People.

Speaker 6 (01:27:07):
You know, it's it's nothing different.

Speaker 38 (01:27:09):
You know, I've I've got several different arms in games
during the regular season, and so we kind of keep
doing what we're doing from the regular season. So you know,
it's it's about making the adjustments before the game. You
never know what the game is going to bring, and
so just uh being prepared for whatever that may be.
And then uh, you know, offensively, I'm just staying focused
and doing whatever I can to help the team win.

Speaker 22 (01:27:29):
Curt in the third row and then Jr.

Speaker 23 (01:27:30):
On the front William two separate for you about the
young guys that contributed today. What's it like for you
to watch Jackson in the playoffs?

Speaker 6 (01:27:39):
Okay, Jackson.

Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
And a star.

Speaker 38 (01:28:02):
You know, he's a star for me. I think he's
the best player that we have here. But I like
the way that we go about it.

Speaker 11 (01:28:07):
Uh.

Speaker 38 (01:28:08):
You know, no one feels like they're better than the other,
and everyone's here, you know, focus on on doing their job.
So uh, you know, he's got an incredible future ahead
of them and an incredible talent with what he does
out on the field, and I just love watching him
go out there from the very first pitch, Uh, you know,
given everything he has and uh.

Speaker 23 (01:28:25):
And with mis what do you think catching one O
four one of four two one of four three, and
and how did you kind of help him maybe get
through this outing with with what you could do behind
the play.

Speaker 39 (01:28:35):
Some pitch holland the playoff, Okay, can get as at
the man.

Speaker 7 (01:28:56):
Folk.

Speaker 6 (01:28:57):
Yeah, it's hard, you know, it's definitely hard.

Speaker 38 (01:29:00):
Whenever you have a young pitcher, you know, you can
call him, you know, a kid, and uh so it's
it's hard to do. But you know, especially when he
has that enthusiasm for the game and enthusiasm to go
out there pitch. So the more the most that I
can just trying to talk to him about uh, staying focused,
stay between the lines, and and you know, stay and
pitch to pitch there and to continue competing.

Speaker 40 (01:29:20):
Jackson, What was your level of apprehension with the hamstring
going into the game. Did you have any rules you
were following, like, you know, don't dive, don't go crazy
on the ball in the infield, something like that. The
first the first ball of the game comes right to
you on defense and then I'm curious, you know, what's
going through your head as you're chasing down that ball
into fellow territory in the fourth inning, and if if
you're thinking about that hamstring at.

Speaker 25 (01:29:39):
All and.

Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Decid. Okay, we went up with his young.

Speaker 10 (01:30:15):
More than.

Speaker 6 (01:30:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 38 (01:30:18):
Like I said, you know, I feel like I'm in
a really good position to go out there and compete.

Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
So you know, I'm gonna go out there and give
the best that I can.

Speaker 38 (01:30:24):
And uh, you know, I felt like I was able
to do that today and go out there and make
all the plays I needed to play and to continue
to play the game.

Speaker 6 (01:30:31):
Uh pretty normal.

Speaker 38 (01:30:32):
So uh, like I always say, I'm going to continue
to go out there and compete and give the best
version of myself I can.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
Yeah, well, we were seeing a good version of Jackson Churio,
that's for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
Oh yeah, as the Brewers get the seven to three win,
he is just outstanding in the postseason with without a doubt. Wow,
Brewers take Game two.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
We'll get to hunt to bombguard, and we'll get to
your text messages coming up. Post game show after a

Speaker 2 (01:31:13):

little bit and fast forward real quick and say they're
up two to zero in the NLDS.

Speaker 4 (01:31:23):

Speaker 4 (01:32:02):
It's oh yeah, no, it's fun.

Speaker 5 (01:32:04):
Okay, that's one word for it. Uh darn, and Dellafield says, uh,
I don't know if this is radio friendly, but my
son decided to call a group of Cubs fans a
cuckold of Cubs fans.

Speaker 4 (01:32:20):
Whole cuckule of Cubs fans. I like it. Yeah, we
like to make up words here.

Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Oh absolutely, Bob and Austin says the Mizard.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
Yeah, Aston, Yeah, I've spent so much time in Buston.
My my father's from Boston, grew up in Boston.

Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
Oh, me too. Grandma lived there forever, right there on
Union Street.

Speaker 5 (01:32:39):
Okay, I've never had family live there, but my buddy's
family had a farm there and uh spent some nights.
I sort of remember up there party and that's for sure.
But Bob says the Mizard.

Speaker 4 (01:32:53):
Of Oz, Mizard of Oz.

Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
Oh love that.

Speaker 5 (01:32:57):
Uh you guys catch the announcers say, the Brewers are
trying to get a strangle hold on the series.

Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
Ex Travis and Walkershaw.

Speaker 5 (01:33:05):
Yes we did, Travis, and thanks to you we have
this glorious drama.

Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
See oh yeah, yeah, there we go.

Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
Love that, so thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:33:20):
Alexis says, imagine Uker calling these games.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
It gives me chills. What a time to be alive.
Let's go Brewers.

Speaker 4 (01:33:29):
He's probably doing his own broadcast.

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
Yeah oh oh yeah, uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
You imagine up there you got Harry Carey on the
bad side and Uker on the good side. Yeah, sitting
there next to each other, sharing beers and calling the game.

Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
I love it.

Speaker 9 (01:33:46):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
Ricky and Madison Quintana, followed by Priest for Game three
at Wrigley amazing setup to win.

Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
Now we know that, you know it's gonna be Priester
uh Pat from.

Speaker 21 (01:33:59):
Wall I saw.

Speaker 5 (01:34:00):
I'm no ABS guy, but Esterbrook was a brutal tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
He was he was and it was both ways. It
wasn't just.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
Sides.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Yeah, Paul and Grafton.

Speaker 5 (01:34:12):
Someone may want to do a wellness check on Reginald
Darling after tonight's game. Rudolfo Darling, rude, hey, Rudy Okay,
Mike from Merrill, He's got some thoughts on the TBS crew.
Alex Foss on play by play is pretty good, Rudolph Darling.

(01:34:36):
The analyst absolutely sucks. Lauren Jabbara, I hope I'm saying
her name right, the sideline reporter and Jack some pretty
interesting stuff. Darling takes me back to college days and
having a lecture class at eight am with the professor
who was horrible one new things they are Einstein and
who talks down to the class.

Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
He's one of the worst.

Speaker 5 (01:34:58):
Monotone delivery, does not thing but read off a program sheet,
doesn't have any real insight on either team, definitely doesn't
do his homework. TBS would be better served to put
Lauren in the booth and put him on the sideline.

Speaker 4 (01:35:12):
Wow. Okay, so I thought I was critical on Darling
after game one?

Speaker 3 (01:35:18):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (01:35:19):
Yeah yeah, lit up there, Eric in West Bend. The
strikeout of Peter the Pigeon was for kb.

Speaker 3 (01:35:29):
Q the von Mower.

Speaker 5 (01:35:31):
Okay, never receive, never need an excuse to play this
one here. Oh yeah, love hearing that maybe Murphy was
the mastermind all along. Go Brewers, ms Magic Terry hanging

(01:35:54):
on every pitch in Newport Beach, I'm writing this text.

Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
From praguing the check.

Speaker 4 (01:36:00):
Oh look at you.

Speaker 3 (01:36:02):
We are international yet again. I'm so happy I can't
even stand it.

Speaker 5 (01:36:08):
If I could get through, I would have screamed at
you guys, this is so amazing. We'll call in next
time when I'm back in a good old us of A.
Let's go Brewers.

Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
Well I enjoyed the Czech Republic, Terry, Timmy, you ever
been to the Czech Republic?

Speaker 4 (01:36:23):
I don't know what to I don't even know where
it is. Honestly, I wouldn't know what to do at
the Czech Republic.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
Yeah, I know it's in Europe. I've never been there,
never been.

Speaker 2 (01:36:33):
They allowed drinking ill yeah, I think so? Okay, then
I know what I'd be doing there.

Speaker 3 (01:36:42):
They got a casino in a bar, a man, let's
go book to flight.

Speaker 4 (01:36:46):
Could you pass the ash tray please?

Speaker 22 (01:36:49):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
Tim, this is Joe from Ohio.

Speaker 4 (01:36:52):
What a win.

Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
Let's go, and he gives a big Rick flair.

Speaker 4 (01:36:58):
Joe, Hi, Hello Joe.

Speaker 5 (01:37:01):
Yeah, okay Milwaukee. Scott says, fifteen in a row to
end the game for the Brewers.

Speaker 4 (01:37:12):
You got fifteen straight set down.

Speaker 5 (01:37:14):
Yeah, that's awesome, Patrick says, Cheerio lights out when the
lights shine the brightest. Just amazing, Nick getting up for
getting up at four. It's gonna be tough since all
this adrenaline will not let me sleep.

Speaker 3 (01:37:30):
Couldn't be more amped f The Cubs just love it.

Speaker 5 (01:37:36):
We are the deliverer of the stranglehold baby, playing with conviction.

Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
Kids.

Speaker 5 (01:37:41):
That's from the Lovely Miss Jill, the official lead singer
of the Post Show. I called both Homers now sixteen
and six this season in games, and I've.

Speaker 4 (01:37:53):
Attended nice wracker beautiful.

Speaker 5 (01:37:56):
Yeah, keep going, never en f and out, Let's finish it.
JJ says. Murphy pulls a council bullpen game. I can
now exhale, Okay, Wyoming, Tom, nothing but positivity from me.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Tonight, love love loving this, sleep tight Greg.

Speaker 5 (01:38:18):
Hopefully they charged Greg extra tolls on his way back
down to Chicago.

Speaker 4 (01:38:25):
There, yep.

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
So they're going to be traveling right right down ninety
four Highway K and then get to twenty and eleven
and KR and I could name them all, trust me
all the way the broad stop. Why don't you float
a few dollars into the broad stop down there in
Kenosha and then yeah, extra tolls or the tolls are broken.

Speaker 4 (01:38:46):
You're gonna hand pay.

Speaker 2 (01:38:48):
You can't just drive right through to make it a
real long long ride back to Chicago.

Speaker 9 (01:38:53):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (01:38:54):
Kennon river West said that Greg was going to be
stress eating at Jorgeorge Webbs tonight, but you know he's
never heard of a George Webbs.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
Or seen one before. According to him, lies.

Speaker 5 (01:39:11):
Contrara's masterful job of guiding these pitchers tonight, especially Missowski,
should not go unnoticed.

Speaker 3 (01:39:18):
He was a cat behind the plate.

Speaker 4 (01:39:21):
Good good, good point.

Speaker 5 (01:39:23):
Johnny the painter, it's eighty eight point nine percent that
the Brewers will win the series.

Speaker 3 (01:39:29):
Oh geez, nice, Yeah like those, but still got to
finish it off.

Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
Yeah, you do.

Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
Some of the worst calls I've ever seen, especially in
a playoff game. Baseball needs to do better with these umps.
Justin from Kansas City, grabbed me some barbecue. Justin what
a game. Just got home from the good Lands. Can't
wait to get back for another one. All I can
say is wood Peckers they never say die. Attitude is incredible.

(01:40:02):
It is the next guy up attitude.

Speaker 4 (01:40:04):
Let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:40:05):
I texted on Saturday, my son got the first inning
contraras double. Oh nice, Yeah, that's awesome. How hard is
your cheese on the championship season?

Speaker 4 (01:40:22):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
I don't know what that means, but I like cheese
preesterer for the three to zero shutout. Yeah, a little
sweep there.

Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
Oh would be so sweet.

Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
Oh yeah, yes it would. Brad and Sheboygan, well boys,
grat Brewers win.

Speaker 15 (01:40:40):
Tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:40:41):
Gotta be up at four point thirty, So I took
a Delta nine and I set the iHeart app for
an hour sleep timer so I can fall asleep listening
to the victorious postgame show tonight. MS made me nervous
as balls when I saw he was coming into the game,
but I'm glad he made it through unscathed.

Speaker 4 (01:41:03):
It's that high stressed, nervous fun sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:41:05):
All right, we'll get back to some more text after
the break here, and then we'll wrap things up with
a hunter bomb guard at American Family Field. Brewers get
the win seven to three to take that strangle hold
in the best of five NLDS here in the twenty
five championship season, and we as always are talking about it.

(01:41:26):
We appreciate you guys staying up late with us, but hey,
well worth it. It's playoff baseball, and it's playoff winning
baseball with Pat Murphy and the Milwaukee Brewers postgame show
with Potawatami Sportsbook here on ninety seven to three the game,
the postgame Show with Potawatamy.

Speaker 4 (01:41:42):
Sportsbook bet above the rest.

Speaker 2 (01:41:45):
As the Brewers get the game two NLDS victory here
in the twenty five Championship season seven to three, the final,
and there's Jeff Worlaski, Tim Allen and just again it's
it happened and so quick.

Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
It's it's almost like.

Speaker 2 (01:42:01):
You have to remind yourself and go back and say, oh, yeah,
that's right. They're up two zero in the best of five.
Those of us, I say us, because I'm included by
bomb in that being a little nervous playing the Cubs.

(01:42:25):
I'm still a little nervous about playing the Cubs, Okay, okay,
and and here's here, partly because of the council thing, sure,
but more importantly it's the Cubs and I don't like
that team. So I mean, I hate that team. And
anything can happen in a Cub Brewer series. We've seen

(01:42:47):
it time and time again, haven't we. That's part of
the nervous nature of me. It is just that that, Wow,
anything can happen. But in this case here, especially at
this point, Oh, come on, guys, just just be done
with it and let's move on and lcs.

Speaker 4 (01:43:09):
Yeah that just just punch them in the face on
on Wednesday and just move on.

Speaker 3 (01:43:14):
No, your continued nervousness is not.

Speaker 5 (01:43:18):
Misplaced, you know, you hear it all the time in
any sport that has these long series. This series doesn't
start until the road team wins, well hopefully in game three.
The series ends as soon as the road team wins,
you know, so there's still yeah, there's there's still work
to be done here. That that way, you know, That's

(01:43:40):
why I think that if the Brewers jump out, especially three,
three oh four to OHO in game three. Then you'll
see the Cubs, you know, yeah, you might see a
little Shenanigan's council try to get ejected, which he looks,
you know, silly doing, or you know, some still try
doing something like you were talking about earlier, to try
to row a wrench into it.

Speaker 3 (01:44:01):
But you know, you'll you'll see the the players start
packing it in.

Speaker 2 (01:44:06):
I think, yeah, And have have we seen a weather
forecast for for Chicago on Wednesday?

Speaker 3 (01:44:12):
No, but I'll look it up as soon as we
get Hunter on here.

Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
Yeah maybe maybe that's uh, that's what they'll try. But
all right, let's get a couple more texts in before Hunter.

Speaker 5 (01:44:22):
Yeah, arm Dog texted in says Timmy called the home
run barrage in the pregame and getting miss confidence again
might play the most dividends down the road. Believes he
could be a weapon again and a huge that makes
a huge difference in the series. And then Armand also
says he's up late with us spending all night firing

(01:44:46):
battle tweets and Cubs fans watching the game for a
second time.

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
Now, that's that's so cool. Yeah, I mean, it didn't
surprise me that miss Rowski was in this game. It
surprised me that he was in this game in the
highest leverage you can get in a tie ball game.

Speaker 4 (01:45:04):
I mean that that part surprised me.

Speaker 3 (01:45:07):
Yeah, well yeah, you know, it kind of does.

Speaker 5 (01:45:10):
But you know, in Murph, we've trust, We've said it
all all year, and he proved it again today. I
got a text in from Jim Lombardo from from Bell
Ambulance saying, great job. Let's go crew, and so thank
you Jim, and thank you to all that you're fine
people do over there saving lives.

Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
That goodie bag, that that Bell Ambulance. So that that
was super super cool. So we we appreciate that. Okay,
let's go back to American Family Field. Welcome in, Hunter,
bomb Guard Hunter real quick. Just a couple of things here,
uh Mizerowski. I like the question about did you have

(01:45:51):
to you know, to Murph, do you have to settle
him down a little bit? And Murph I thought it
was interesting. Yeah, he was ranting. And Raven said about
Misserowski and that's part of the therapy session with Pat
Murphy is how he handles each player.

Speaker 4 (01:46:09):
And he said he had a couple of words with him.

Speaker 27 (01:46:12):
Yeah he did, And I think it's it's more so,
and he kind of gave him the sign all right,
settle down, settle down, and trying to just make sure
he's keeping his emotions in check. And that's that's what
he does, right he and as Andrew Vaughn put it
to us after the game, like, he is able to
understand each guy individually and what they need individually. And
that's so important for our manager, for any leader really

(01:46:35):
to be able to do that.

Speaker 4 (01:46:36):
And he is so good at that.

Speaker 27 (01:46:38):
And it's his players talk about obviously, with Bond talking
about it there, Misslerowski talking about, you know, Pat Murphy
time about how he did that to Misslerowski. So look,
the emotion is always going to be there. It's a
playoff game, it's his first playoff game. I absolutely love it.
There is nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I
absolutely adored it. And it is awesome because it got

(01:47:01):
oh man, it just it felt like it brought the
house down at that time at American Family Field.

Speaker 4 (01:47:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47:06):
Yeah, And speaking of which, now we don't know obviously
what's gonna happen moving forward here in the championship season,
but that home run from Vaughn Hunter, I mean, depending
on what happens here. As Brewer fans, we remember certain
benchmark swings, benchmark outings, a certain situation.

Speaker 4 (01:47:30):
That one we may remember a long long time.

Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
In other words, say they go to the Pinnacle and
you're watching highlight shows or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:47:39):
You say, yeah, that was that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:41):
Remember the cub series, it was that Vaughn home run.
I think we may earmark that bookmarkt as they say
something to remember that was a huge swing to match
three to three after one.

Speaker 27 (01:47:54):
I mean, you remember Andrew Vaughn's first played appearance as
a Milwaukee Brewer was a three run home run against
the Dodgers against Yamamoto, and and you just look at
the similarities there. He comes up, team is down, you
know in this at this time, they were down obviously
three nothing, and it's just another three run home run,

(01:48:17):
and council, you know, continue to repeat that throughout his
postgame presser tonight is three run home runs.

Speaker 4 (01:48:22):
He just can't give him up.

Speaker 6 (01:48:23):
Three run home runs.

Speaker 4 (01:48:24):
Those are game changers.

Speaker 27 (01:48:24):
And obviously in the postseason as well, We've talked about
it countless times, but man, just absolute game changer.

Speaker 4 (01:48:32):
Two outs.

Speaker 27 (01:48:33):
All seven runs for the Brewers scored with two outs
tonight and you're right, you do remember different moments, and
that's definitely one of them. And Vana has provided multiple
as I mentioned. One of those was against the Dodgers
in early July and his first plate appearance, and he's
been in the in the middle of them, and just
just that calm demeanor that he has, you know, with
us at the podium, but also just stepping to the plate.

(01:48:54):
I think he's you know, obviously gained the respect in
that that clubhouse, no doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (01:48:59):
And it's just it.

Speaker 27 (01:49:00):
It was, man, I mean, it was it was one
that one was like, I mean, that's kind of that's
why I asked Murphy after the game, like it's one
thing for the team to continue to respond in the
regular season. It's a whole nother animal to have Seya
Suzuki hit a three run bomb off of you in
the top of the first inning and then get two strikeouts,

(01:49:20):
I mean, Chureio and Tering struck out and then single
contraras single Yellich, who by the way, Yelich is betting
five hundred in the series so far. He may not
have the flashy home runs, he may not have the
extra base hits. Dudes four for eight and he scored
a couple of runs. He's walked, looks great at the
play right now, and he does, and you get two
on and then you get the Von home run.

Speaker 4 (01:49:41):
D J is beautiful.

Speaker 5 (01:49:42):
Can you sit there and walk everybody kind of through
Contreras's celebration. You know, he did the phone call sign,
you know, to to Greg and it's reminiscent of when
he launched a homer against the Cubs before and Greg
was on the phone of the bull before the ball
even landed.

Speaker 27 (01:50:02):
So yeah, so that was an Andrew Vaughn Holmer so
back in July, Von homerd and that was when I
believe it might have been a Grand Slam and Craig
Council immediately went to the bullpen. There's a famous video
of him. Yes, exactly immediately before the ball landed, was
on the phone. When we asked him postgame, he said
that he was calling Brewers fans. He was who you

(01:50:24):
who are you on the phone with and he said
Brewers fans. He said, I do everything for the Brewers fans.
And there were people speculating maybe he was.

Speaker 16 (01:50:32):
He was also.

Speaker 27 (01:50:33):
Dialed in, get it dialed in, So you know, there's
there's and then there's also obviously the speculation that could
be counseled turning around, you know, to get on the phone.
I think Contraras is on social media. It seems maybe
you know, a fair amount he's he's posted before and
everything like that, so it's look, anything of that is possible.

(01:50:54):
He also spoke goingly, you know, in his Player's Tribune
article a couple of years or a couple of days
ago about so you know, it's there's a lot of speculation,
obviously him saying Bruce fans, but look there's a special
connection between him and Brewers fans, and that if you
have not read the article that he wrote in the
Player's Tribune before this series, go yes, absolutely go and

(01:51:17):
read that because it is awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Okay, final thing on the pitching side, So Quinn Priest
a little decoy was that the deal? Because I was wondering,
you know, without announcing it, it was a bullpen game today.
Now you announced bullpen I would be like, wait, a
second bullpen game.

Speaker 4 (01:51:36):
You have Priester and Kingtan are ready to rock and roll.
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:51:40):
Okay, they don't announce bullpen game. They just say Askby's
going to start well, we assume then basically bullpen game.
But I assume then a starter would piggyback on to
Asby as the opener. Wasn't the case here, This legitimately
was a bullpen game. Now the decoy with Priester warming
up with Asby, I I I love that part of

(01:52:02):
this Hunter, I really do.

Speaker 11 (01:52:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 27 (01:52:04):
So Priester walks out to the outfield and in pregame
about thirty minutes before first pitch, like a starter would.
And so then I'm like, okay, it makes sense. Prestar's
going out there and he's doing a bunch of warm ups.
He's running, you know, back and forth out there, and
then he's he was walking around. It looked like from
the it couldn't quite tell, but it looked like he

(01:52:26):
was roaming around the bullpen a little bit as well.
I don't know if he actually threw. He might have
thrown in the outfield. I don't know if he like physically,
he was never like warming up in the bullpen, so
to speak, but he was. He was doing his pregame
routine as it looked like you would in the outfield,
and and Ashby you know, goes out there and then
all of a sudden. Then I'm expecting Priest to be

(01:52:47):
the next guy, and I see the Blue Bills.

Speaker 4 (01:52:49):
Out there throwing.

Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
Though to start, he wasn't throwing to warm up after
you know what four outs or whatever, maybe the top
of the second you'd assume. I assumed that he was
gonna get warm and get get hot and get ready.

Speaker 27 (01:53:03):
Totally no, me too, And then nothing, and then it's
Mers and then he gets out of it, which that
was in a very very underrated part of this game,
is merors with two outs coming in and getting out
of that jam, because that is you know, people are like,
why is Meers pitching in the second inning, because that
can be a game changing moment. At that time, that

(01:53:23):
was a tie ball game. You know, on the second
inning that's a turning point. So Meer's doing that, and
then you're just throwing miss Erowski into the fire, and
you know, everybody's kind of looking at each other in
the press box like, Okay, this could either go incredibly
well or incredibly bad, and you.

Speaker 4 (01:53:38):
Just don't know.

Speaker 27 (01:53:39):
But again, why was he on this roster? Why was
he put in this position? Because his ceiling is so
incredibly high, and what you saw tonight is that potential
from Jacob Mazerowski and man was a great to see
on display.

Speaker 22 (01:53:52):
Again.

Speaker 2 (01:53:53):
Yeah, I looked at it as I think you can
tell with Mez when things are going well, you know the.

Speaker 4 (01:53:59):
Story he will be told by the hitters their reaction.

Speaker 2 (01:54:04):
Yeah, you see when you see goofy swings and you
see these rye smiles and you see a peak back
to the dugout and you see just flails a little
bit or check swings a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:54:15):
I think that's the indicator one misses. One miss is
really on.

Speaker 27 (01:54:19):
Yep, one hundred percent, because you saw some buckling of
the knees of some of those veteran hitters in that
lineup tonight. And that's what you saw against Minnesota. That's
what you saw against the Dodgers. That's what you saw
against the Cardinals in that first debut outing in June.
That's the type of thing you saw Mizrowski do early
in the season when he first was coming up or
you know, mid season, but early in his season, and

(01:54:42):
and that was you know, that's again what you saw tonight,
and that's again why he was on that roster and
uh and then Chad Patrick made it look about as
easy as it could be in that one, two, three inning,
and then McGill to come in and you know, in
a late inning. I think that was the perfect landing
spot for him, a taste a you know, a taste
of a closer, but not really. You know, it was

(01:55:03):
a four run game and you know, kind of a
taste there, and then Abner perfect, you know, get him
in there, get him in the ninth inning and strikes
out the side.

Speaker 12 (01:55:11):
I mean what.

Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
I also, just on the pitching front, I haven't I
don't think we've seen the last of one. Saint Patrick,
Joe Patrick, look out, because he's been pitching well here
and overall the season's been dynamite.

Speaker 4 (01:55:29):
You may see a.

Speaker 2 (01:55:31):
Maybe a middle relief stint if you will. I don't
think he's just a one inning reliever. I think you
could get multiples out of him. So we'll see how
some of these games play out, all right, So four
oh seven, first pitch on Wednesday, and the Brewers on
the road into Wrigley Field and Hunter, we appreciate it.

(01:55:51):
We're going to send people to bed here happy with
a Brewers victory.

Speaker 27 (01:55:56):
Oh, there's no doubt about it. Doug and I will
be there on Wednesday Wrigley Field, and uh, hopefully we're
in a champagne celebration and celebrating a sweep. I mean again,
you just I know, I know I will and I
you know, you go back to this at the end
of the day. Soak in what in the heck is
going on with this baseball team? Like it's amazing you guys, Like,

(01:56:20):
it's just it's just euphoria.

Speaker 4 (01:56:22):
It's just amazing.

Speaker 17 (01:56:23):
It's just rue.

Speaker 4 (01:56:26):
Yes, yes, Brewforia.

Speaker 27 (01:56:29):
It's it's just, oh my gosh, you're two up on
the Cubs of all teams. I mean, it's just again,

I was like, people are like, yeah, what if you
lose to the gup? No, what if you beat the Cup?
What if you and they are one win away from
doing that and advancing the d NLCS in this magical season?

eight hours and we'll be talking some Brewers baseball.

Speaker 3 (01:57:30):
Yeah, I cannot wait. It's gonna be great.

Speaker 5 (01:57:32):
