Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh well, that was fun and it is a final
from Chicago and the results are not good. Welcome in everybody.
Postgame show with Potawatami sportsbook bet above the rest, Tim Allen,
jeff Orlowski, the Polish pipe bomb. Yeah, a six zip
loss when they.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Have three hits.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
That's all we had was three hits, that's it. Four
walks and three hits. And you walk six Cub batters
and allowed seven hits in six runs. And again you
played from behind here and you were behind the eight ball.
And what a mess, What a mess, What a baseball

(00:41):
mess we have created here? As the series is now
tied at two to two and a decisive as they say,
Game five going to be in Milwaukee on Saturday night.
And here's here's the one bad thing about that is
that hold the two words, Jeff, if necessary, did allow

(01:03):
cub fans to buy up a bunch of tickets, now,
didn't it?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah? It sure did.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I I don't think we're going to be seeing the
eighty five fifteen ninety ten splits in favor of the
home team come Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
No, I agree, it's not gonna be. I would say
fifty to fifty. We'll see what Brewer fans do when
they come on out. But it's tough to win a
ballgame when you don't score. And the Brewers did not
score in this game. In fact, in the two games
in Chicago, grand total of three runs and Freddie Peralta, well,

(01:39):
there they go again, first inning runs. In this entire series,
the Cubs have only scored four earned runs outside of
the first inning of play. Come on, whose pitchers are
ready to play here when the bell rings? I mean

(02:00):
we're seeing a pattern here, are we not? Yeah, now
to look into Saturday. Just to peek into Saturday a
little bit. I mean, we'll get into it throughout the show.
We're gonna hear from Pat Murphy among others, and get
to your reaction as well. But you're looking at Misowski

(02:20):
to start that game. I don't think so. I think
they're going opener with a lefty and this is well,
I should let me rephrase. Here's what I would do.
Knig starts that game, and Jared, I don't care what

(02:44):
you do. There better not be one run across after
that three outs. After those three outs, not a single run.
Cubs have scored eleven runs in the first innings of
these four games scored in all four first innings. Who's

(03:04):
ready to pitch when the bell rings? Who's ready to go?
It doesn't matter who it is, whether it's priest or
Ashby or whoever. Freddie a couple of times, are you
guys ready to go?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Or what?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Let's go? My goodness, I mean again, I can't. I
can't explain it any other way. Hold him off the
board in the top of the first inning on Saturday,
and you have a legit chance to win. If you don't,
you're probably gonna end your season. It's that simple, Okay,

(03:42):
Let's make it as simple as we can. Scale is
one to ten your nervous meter. Ten being mortified. One
being cool is a cat with a cucumber in his mouth. Okay,
all right, so that's where we're at. One to ten,
ten being mortified nervous.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Well, I'll tell you I think I'm at I'm at
a solid nine point three.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm gonna say I'm at a seven. Okay, that's pretty
bad though. Now this who's got the momentum in this series?
Who is really struggling in this series? Right now? You
know who? That's a rhetorical question. Yep, you guys know
who Brewers better pick themselves off the mat or their

(04:38):
season is over after everything we've been through. Okay, so
your nervous meter one to ten and to four games now,
And this is a really tough question. I think it's
a tough question for me. It's going to be a
tough question for you. Maybe how do you think Pat

(04:59):
Murphy is doing in this series thus far? I love
the dude, I'm asking the question. I'll give you my
answer and a bit. But man, where's the fun in
all this? Stop talking about that environment? And if you
continue to talk about that environment down there in Chicago,

(05:21):
why didn't they start a guy yesterday that could handle
the environment? See where we're going here? You got me
just hen pecking and just poking and pecking. I'm the
woodpecker at Pat Murphy. So we want to get your
reaction here as the series now, the season now comes

(05:45):
down to one game. And this was my fear heading
into the postseason. I told you guys, very rarely am
I the I told you so guys guy in this
but I'm going to use it this time and again.
You guys have been listening for a long long time.
I am hardly ever the one that says, well, I

(06:09):
told you I want to be right, so I need
validation that I'm right. I don't do that, I'm going
to do it this time. This is exactly why I
didn't want to play the Cubs, because of the opportunity
for council in Chicago to get the last laugh. The

(06:30):
worst possible way you could end a really cool season
is right upon us in nine innings, twenty seven outs.
You got to make it good in twenty seven outs.
I'm hopeful, but again I'm seventy percent nervous on this one.

(06:52):
The Cubs now are three to zero in this year's
postseason on elimination games. You want to you wanna face
that buzzsaw? Well, congratulations, you got it. Why can you
tell me why? I am convinced of this, Maybe more

(07:13):
convinced than any other theory I've ever had. If you
start the exact same offensive lineup in Game three yesterday
and start Kingtana, we are playing in the NLCS, I
am convinced of that. Old tinker Bell had to tinker

(07:35):
with tinker toys. I don't know if young folks folks
know what tinker toys are, do you uh know? It's
just like a bucket of like seventies toys, tinker toys.
You've played with tinker toys, look it up.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Those things you've probably made out of solid steel that
you would.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Throw and can cuss your brother maybe.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
But want to get your reaction here. We'll get right
to the calls here. Not going to do a game recap.
I want reaction here on the nervous meter on what
your thoughts are heading into now game five? And oh,
miss Rowski's gonna play a part. It will play a
part in game five that could turn out good. I

(08:23):
don't know. That's why you play the game, all right,
Nikola LA dot Com talking text line at eight seven
seven seven nine four one seven to three. Let's see
here we'll start things out with Nick. Nick. Welcome to
ninety seven to three the Game postgame Show with Potawatami
Sportsbook bet above the rest here on the game and

(08:46):
the iHeartRadio app. Nick, what are your thoughts? What's running
through your mind?

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Well, well, dam it's been a hot minute on the
nervous meter.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
I'll get right to your question on that.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I'm at a ten. Okay, gotcha, no question about that.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Cubs have all the momentum they have a healthier bullpen.
I think they didn't have to use as much. Their
bats are lively. They got a hell of a lot
more power. Yeah, here's what I would say for elimination tomorrow.

(09:34):
You gotta start Kantanah. You have to eliminate who is
that that son of a gun that hits all the
home runs.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
That's that's why I'm thinking to start Knig. That's what
I'm thinking an openers, and it.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
Has to be a lefty for sure. I definitely agree
with that. I don't know so much if you would
go right to Caneig. I think you need to get
some length in there of Nana first.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
But yeah, gosh, yesterday, he's not going to give you
four five.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
You know, the most I think you can get out
of him would be two or three.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
I think if you can get two or three from.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Kintana, let's just say two.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I think that's a good start. Then I mean, you
would exercise.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
The idea of maybe pitching Miserowski.

Speaker 8 (10:33):
And if he's clicking.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
Pitch in that game, yeah, like you you let him
right if he's clicking, if he's on, yeah, and yeah,
and the other thing too.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Get Yelich out of the lead off. Go back to
your game one game two lineups that you had. That
was just they had a lot of momentum. It was clicking.

Speaker 8 (11:00):
Curial is that spark?

Speaker 6 (11:02):
He is the guy that gets things going. And I'm
not saying Yelich is bad or that, but I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
I just Churio Like the last two.

Speaker 6 (11:13):
Postseason games, you know, even last year against the mess,
he was that spark.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Okay, Nick, Nick, we gotcha so really real quick, in
like five seconds. How has Pat Murphy been managing here
in the nld S.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Lesson ideal?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
I'm seri I'm not happy with it.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Okay, very good, I'm with you. Less than ideal? Thank you, Nick.
Let's go go to Nate. Nate, you're next here on
ninety seven through the game.

Speaker 9 (11:47):
Oh yeah for me, I'm a I'm at a cham
as well. I'm just I'm tonight. Was very disappointed last night.
Was disappointed. But you were like the first game in Chicago, Okay,
they had their crowd behind him, you only lost by
one run. You had opportunities. Tonight it was just absolutely terrible.

(12:14):
I agree with the last caller.

Speaker 8 (12:16):
Why are we.

Speaker 9 (12:16):
Switching the lineup after the lineup after the lineup for
Game one and two combined for sixteen runs in those
first two games.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Well, Yell, it's Nate Yell. It's in the leadoff spot.
Somebody brought it up last night. I think Rich did
Uh brought it up. You have your leading RBI guy
in the leadoff spot. Okay, good hitter, great season, good
team leader. I get it. I totally understand it. But
he's got nobody to knock in in the first inning.

(12:47):
You totally distrust anybody in front of him. If Yelli's
is cleaning up, if he's cleaning up in tonight's game
or last night's game, then then you're you're you're saying
that none of your first three hitters are gonna get
on base, and then he's gonna have to lead off
the second inning. I don't think that that's that's true.

(13:08):
I trust the top three hitters. Okay. Secondly, with Yellis
in the leadoff spot, he is hitting behind Joey Ortiz
the rest of the game, and not only Joey Ortiz,
but Brandon Lockridge and Blake Perkins also, that's who he's
gonna knock in. Come on in a playoff game, Come on,

(13:30):
you want your top hitters up there. Okay, so Murphy
said before the game today, why you know, he was
asked why yell It's in the leadoff spot because he
wants him more at bats? He gets more at bats?
Two fold again, who is he backing up? Who is
he gonna knock in number one and number two? Where
was that philosophy throughout the season?

Speaker 8 (13:51):
Then my thing is.

Speaker 9 (13:57):
Did he just did Murphy just sleep through September? Because
he tried this in September and Yelich did not produce
very well in the leadoff spot all of September. I
feel like that was the main reason why they were

(14:18):
going through their roles with offense in September is because
you had you put Yellows in a leadoff spot and
for this year it's not working for him.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Well, what was working was Game one and two offensive lineup.

Speaker 9 (14:39):
Exactly. And for your other question, how was Murphy? I
feel like you have to break it down into the
first two games. First two games he was he was brilliant.
These last two games where he feels the need to
have participation awards in the playoff game and the decides

(15:02):
to go against what works is just showing that maybe
the moment is too big for him. We talk about
Quinn Priester. The moment was too big for Clint Easter.

Speaker 8 (15:14):
Maybe the moment is too big for Pat Murphy.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Wowt yep, yep, because because is this the fact that
you just you, I don't know what.

Speaker 9 (15:26):
I don't I just don't understand what made him change
the lineup. And then after you lose yesterday, why don't
you say, well, let me go back to the first
lineup before the first two games and see if that
gets us back on track.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
And it was the same lineup you could have used
against the same starting pitcher for the Cubs. Wow, wait
a second, you changed against ty On, who's a righty.
And then I'm thinking, well, if Boyd starts tomorrow, he'll
go back to Game one and two lineup, won't he. Nope,
didn't do it. No, I can't exp I don't understand.

(16:01):
You just had major success against boy.

Speaker 10 (16:06):
Like what or four?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Cleaning up against the lefty against the yep against the lefty. Nate,
your one and clean up hitter were lefties. Oh boy, wow, Okay,
I guess all right, Nate, thank you, it's good stuff.
He's out of ten. Also, one to ten? Your nervous meter?

(16:32):
Is it pinning to ten? Mortified? Terrified that the season
will end? Or are you just cool? It's it'll be fine.
It's one game. It's one game. We'll move on n
LCS Dodgers will wait. By the way, do you see
how that game ended?

Speaker 8 (16:49):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Are not athletes?

Speaker 1 (16:51):
No, they're not. Hey, kid Corcoran, take the out at first, dude,
just throw the first got all but bungled up and
just wasted it. I mean, Tom, what do you say
on the Nicola LA dot com talking text line eight
seven seven seven nine, I'm sorry, Tom dropped. Okay, we'll

(17:15):
go to Harley. Harley your nervous meter one to ten?

Speaker 5 (17:21):
Ken a doubt about it?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Come on, have a little more evidence.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Here, Okay, nine and a half?

Speaker 1 (17:30):
That is a little.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
I mean, yeah, I'll ask for a little. I gave
it to you as far as as far as the
grade for Murphy D minus. I mean, you've beat it
into to the wall. I want to know. I want
a reporter to ask him the question, why did you

(17:57):
make all these changes? Did everyone in a participation award?

Speaker 4 (18:03):
What?

Speaker 5 (18:04):
What drove you to blow these games?

Speaker 11 (18:08):
Here?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Here's another one. Here's here's another one for you, Harley.
I'll let you finish, but here's here's another one for you.
Why was Jackson Curio running around in left field in
the bottom of the eighth inning of this ballgame?

Speaker 5 (18:26):
No clue, No two. There's so many h questions I
have for that man, I'm running out of questions to ask.
I mean, it's it's so frustrating after this year to

(18:48):
boil down to this, down in that dump and you know,
the council and the Cubs were waiting us today they
walked out and after that three run home runs, we
didn't do a damn thing to try to get back
into this game. Another question for Murphy why why didn't

(19:16):
Why didn't you bunt? Why why didn't you?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
No he bunted today?

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Oh yippie, I must have missed it my second.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yeah, three nothing game, in the fifth inning, you decide
to bunt. You're down three in the fifth inning, you
decide to bunt. Now, granted it's Joey Ortiz, but I mean,
three three nothing, you got two base runners on with
nobody out. Dude, let him play it out, even though
it's Joey. I'll defend Joey Ortiz on this that would

(19:49):
have been the last at bat Joey Orties had. Had
he failed, he wouldn't have had a bat in his
hand the rest of the game. But in that at bat,
let him hit away. Here Murph set things up for Yellie,
and which he did. He moved them over. But again,
you gave up a valuable out right there. I didn't
understand that. Compared to last night, when you have the

(20:10):
tying run at second base with nobody out and you
decide not to bunt. In that case, down only one run,
I don't know you figured out one more thing.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
The only optimist that I have left in my body
is that we are playing at home. Rekick their ass
up here for two games. They kicked our ass down
there for two games. Bringing on, let's play Saturday.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
There you go, there you go? Okay, yeah, you know again,
this thing ain't over. Brewers could, and some would say,
should take this game. Yes they should on Saturday. Here's
the lineup against a couple of lefties and game games
one and two. Let's see here, Jackson Serio leading off,

(21:06):
Bryce Terrang in the two spot, Contreras catcher cleaning up,
Christian Yelich, Andrew Vaughan hitting fourth at first base, Freelich, Durbin,
Perkins or Tease. Okay, that's games one and two identical
lineups against lefties. You go into game three yesterday a

(21:32):
right hander, and all of a sudden everything changes. Okay,
you know, I guess get your lefties bunched up in there,
or at least spread them out. One, three, five, seven.
She did. Okay, fast forward to today's game against a lefty.

(21:53):
Why didn't you put it back? Can someone help me
out with this? What don't you put it back? It's
the same lefty on the hill.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
It's a fair question.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
What changed? Now? We could make the argument about Brandon
Lockridge yesterday. I mean I got it, zero zero chance
he should have started in the postseason, moving forward the
entire postseason. I don't care if it went five games
in this round, seven in the NLCS, seven in the

(22:30):
World Series, not one of those games should Brandon Lockridge
have been starting. I'm not sure that Murphy's having a
good postseason, guys, sure of that.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
But you know it's amazing because if you would have
asked that question after game two.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Oh yeah, Murphy's hit.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
You know he's pressing all the right buttons doing everything right.
Uh and then two games later, Oh my, yeah, he
sucks and he's struggling like crazy. You gotta, I guess
kind of think it's somewhere right in the middle. Do
the last two games make sense? No, not a lick
of sense. I got more problems with the pitchers he

(23:14):
brought in out of the pen today than I do
with some of these lineups.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
And I got a hell of a lot of lineup questions.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
But it seems like he sat there and he's he
shot himself in the toe before Saturday's games with some
of these guys that that he brought in out of
the pen.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
This is just getting very, very interesting, don't you think,
Folks we're talking about it. Brewers and Cubs series tied
at two and it all comes down to Saturday at
decisive game five, and it will determine one of these
teams season ending on Saturday. Yikes. All right, Nikolay Law

(23:56):
dot Com talking tax line eight seven seven seven nine
four three, Tim Allen Jeff Rolowski once again postgame show
with Potawatamy Sportsbook. Yeah, the Cubs win, I get it.
I don't even care about the score. That really doesn't
matter at this point, it's now a Game five and
we're talking about it here on ninety seven to three
of the game and the iHeartRadio app and they're in

(24:18):
a Game five, winner, take all, loser, go home kind
of situation. After compartmentalizing this a little bit here in
a very early indication, something tells me they're gonna find
a way. And I say that because that's what they've
been doing all year, just find a way despite some

(24:41):
kind of sketchy decision making. Kinda yeah, I mean, that's
the nice way to put it. Uh huh, But I
I've I've got to question some of these decisions. I
have to, or you know, I'm disappointed in myself if
I don't don't. And again I shouldn't have to say this,

(25:02):
but I'm going to. It doesn't mean I don't love
Pat Murphy or this baseball team has nothing to do
with it. This is completely baseball on the field strategy,
strategy decision making. Why did you why did you do
this that? Who really was it the environment? If the

(25:26):
environment was such a big deal that you keep bringing up, Murph,
then why did you make decisions based on it? Then?
Well maybe maybe it was. It doesn't matter what I do.
We're gonna find a way. Well that that kind of
punched him in the face, now, didn't it. Yeah, But

(25:47):
I still feel that, just in the back of my
mind that there's somehow going to get it done. I
don't know why, and and it's maybe not the best
moment to say that. Maybe it'll be, you know, tomorrow
where it starts, you know, decompressing here a little bit
for everybody. I mean, it is at home. They are

(26:11):
the best team in baseball. They have been finding away
all season. But right now, Yeah, it's tough, it really is.
We'll hear from Pat Murphy coming up. Also, Freddie Peralta
talked about that environment, so we'll get him in as well.
So stick around for that. Nikolay law dot com talk

(26:31):
and text line eight seven seven seven nine four one
ninety seven to three. There's pipe bomb Tim Allen and
it is now a game five, best of five. It
goes to five. Well, I'm glad the score didn't say
five zip because then I didn't like that synergy. I

(26:53):
just this is me being dumb post games show with
Potawatomie Sportsbook. Bet above the rest and we'll get back
to you guys. Isaac you are next year on ninety
seven through the.

Speaker 5 (27:05):
Game, Tim pipe bomb, thank you guys for all you do.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Thank you, thank you so immensely appreciate, so immensely appreciate
you guys.

Speaker 12 (27:17):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
I know frustrations are high and rightfully so this for
me goes back to Ashby with his start and then
also Murph just overthinking the lineup and changing so much stuff.
With that being said, your question earlier to other callers

(27:41):
was what's your nervous level?

Speaker 8 (27:43):
Right?

Speaker 13 (27:44):
That was your question?

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Yep, yep, I'm out at two?

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Oh nice, Okay, I like it.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
I'm out at two Okay.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Unfortunately, it took two away post games for Murph to
get punched in the mouth to realize what was working
in the first two games and all season, all season?

Speaker 8 (28:14):
What got us here? Okay?

Speaker 4 (28:16):
What what was the the right formula? And he's gonna
see this and he's gonna self reflect on it. We're fine,
We're gonna win at home tomorrow or I'm sorry on
Saturday and and and we're good. We're good, we are

(28:37):
going to win this. I'm going to be totally positive
because I have a group message with all my buddies.
There's twelve of us in this big group message, and
I got a handful of negative nancies that I can't stand,
and I just tell them to go go to sleep.
Then go to sleep, don't.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Watch the game because it is well it is. I
think it's actually someone should be arrested for some of
the texts that I'm getting.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
But you just came back from the break in a
little bit more of a positive mood.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
You might know.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
I tailed something you know.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
No, no, no, no, I haven't changed. I mean I
am frustrated as you are. And we should be. We
should absolutely we should be. You can't end another season
like this one and done. You can't do this again.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
We're not We're not. We're not.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
We're not.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
We got we got this. I unfortunately have to come
all the way back home. But that crowd is going
to be an insane that energy. I've been there for
the NLDS, I've been there in person for the NLCS.
I've been there, and that energy is going to be immense,
and it's going to be through the roof. And we're

(29:53):
going to do to the Cubs what they just did
to us tonight. And that positive energy is going to
Carria to the championship period.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Okay, very good, Isaac. I love it all right, thank you,
thank you for the call. Are you still going to
be like that? Let me fast forward to Saturday. Okay,
are we still going to have that positive energy? And
there's the final out. It's three outs after a half

(30:24):
inning of play, Chicago two and the Brewers coming up
here on the Brewers Radio network. You better not just
don't how about this, Just don't give them runs in
the top of the first inning. That's my sole goal
for Saturday. So far, no runs. They've scored eleven runs

(30:50):
in their first half inning of offensive work in this series.
That has to stop or you are going to get bounced.
You will get bounced. They scored one run in the first,
three runs in the first, four runs in the first

(31:10):
and three runs in the first Knock it off, hook,
pitching crew, the department, do whatever you need to do.
Hit three batters if you need to.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Yeah, but zero, Yeah, they got to figure out something
on how to prevent the runs in the first inning.
You recently talked about synergy. We just had Isaac from
the falls on, So I want to see some Isaac
Collins in Game five. You've got the NL Rookie of
the Year. He's been in the doghouse now for a

(31:47):
couple of weeks. It's time to let him out.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Throw him a bone.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
You said that Breckenridge deserved a start. Wow, okay, A
How the hell do you think that makes Monasterio, who's
been nothing but a great teammate and then when he
got extended playing time, was raking like crazy. How you
think that makes Mona feel? How you think that makes
Isaac Collins feel? So, Murphy's got to get his head

(32:16):
out of his ass and start playing these guys.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Go back to the lineups that we're working.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
Go back to the dudes that freaking got you the
best record in all the baseball and got you here.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Well, and your offense struggling in the last two games.
You've got three runs in your last two games. Maybe
you gamble a little bit and go with an offensive lineup,
and that would be as you said Monasterio and Collins.
That means Turio goes to center field, and that's where
the gamble is. That means Collins goes to left field.
That's where the gamble is. Okay, I'll take it. Okay,

(32:50):
you can't win if you're getting shut out all the time,
no doubt, no doubt. But yeah again, all right, let's
go to uncle James. You can lighten the mood here
just a little bit, Uncle James. You are on ninety
seven through the game.

Speaker 14 (33:06):
Third evening, gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Damn dude, what did you?

Speaker 15 (33:10):
What did need?

Speaker 14 (33:13):
Shot of my god? My my meter is at ninety
seven point three after these two tough losses. And again, yeah,
Murphy musta old U council.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Uh uh?

Speaker 14 (33:31):
Who have been off him in a card game or something?
For starting a kid last night? Shoot his priester over
you know, other dude, But uh yeah, I don't know. Uh,
I guess that's six to one loss count the same
as the sixteen to one loss. But another thing, you

(33:51):
see waiting nights your tough as hell on people.

Speaker 16 (33:54):
Shit is freaking midnight.

Speaker 14 (33:56):
I'm usually in bed.

Speaker 16 (33:57):
By nine ten o'clock the lay.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Yeah, what happened to the four oh seven Central time start?
We like that? The four o'clocker?

Speaker 17 (34:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, no kidding? All right, Well, I got
a couple other things I gotta ask quickly. Are you
guys allowed to comment on what the hell is going
on at ninety seven point three? I mean, are you
guys unsupervised?

Speaker 1 (34:24):
No, you know we're we're no, We're no, We're always supervised.
That's that's for sure. But we don't have any we
don't know. I mean that that's made They made some
changes and that's that. And change is part of our business. Changes,
part of your business, changes, part of everyone's business. And

(34:44):
it's how you handle change. I mean, there's you can
only do. And I hate to sound cliche on this
pipe bomb, and you can back it up, but you
hate to sound cliche, but you gotta control what you
can control. And I don't mean that in a cliche way,
or I'm not punning the question. That's all I can
do is continue to do the best radio show I

(35:06):
can do. That's and whatever decision they make is what
they make, and that's out of my hands.

Speaker 14 (35:13):
Well, either one of you guys signed to Beyond Saturday
or you don't know what the hell's going on yet.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
It's everything just move forward, you know, That's that's what
we have to do. I don't know, pipe on, you
gotta tell I don't know.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
No one tells me anything. So yeah, no, we have
no idea what's going on. Minutes a minute, but uh
you know, we just got to enjoy it. Well, yes,
we're here here.

Speaker 14 (35:45):
Well a couple one more comment about Saturday.

Speaker 12 (35:49):
This whole city, this whole state, and this whole organization
is going to be judged and what the Brewers do
on Saturday, because the national media will just say all
cute little Milwaukee.

Speaker 18 (36:03):
They got the.

Speaker 14 (36:03):
Best record of what happened. And also, our opportunity is there,
and like I says, we cannot cannot loose to them scrubs.
And uh so I heard that you guys might be
part sports, part music. Does that mean you guys gonna
play like Growler.

Speaker 17 (36:23):
Metal or death metal or I wish stuff.

Speaker 14 (36:27):
Is gonna you know, it's gonna be like it's gonna
be like Goldie.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Old Typers and program director pipe Bomb.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Right like I said, Uncle James, no one has any
idea what what's happening. Uh, We're just gonna show up
as long as they keep as long as the code
works to get us in the building.

Speaker 14 (36:46):
Yeah, well Iver was running that station. Better you know never,
they better re up you guys for next season, no
matter what happens. And uh, lastly, if I could also
say we have awesome service for beloved aunt Terry on Sunday,
and and there's only gonna be one on Terry and

(37:08):
she's up and happened with you, and damn it, we're
gonna win this series on Saturday. So brow crew, get
back on track, go back, go and keep the buzz buzzing.
I'm out later.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
He that dude is so much more intelligent than people think.
Oh yeah, and I'm gonna tell you this. He asks
really good questions.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
He does.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Yeah, yeah, no, Uncle James is great, and uh yeah,
you're one hundred percent right, Uncle James.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Only one aunt Terry. We miss her dearly.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Uh and yeah, I'm sure her and Uke are slamming
some Miller lights and she's probably trying to, you know,
throw him a couple ninety nine ers here and there too,
But you know they're up there having fun.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
And why the crew?

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah, uncle James, we're thinking about you still. Okay, six
zip Brewers lose and now it's down to game five.
Your nervous level and how is Pat Murphy doing? We're
gonna hear from Murph coming up. I don't know if
I want to. I mean, we will just because it's
our job, but man, I can we just move forward

(38:26):
Vincent in Anaheim. Your Dodger's there, got a victory and
they're moving on to the NLCS to play the crew.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
Hey, yeah, no I ain't.

Speaker 13 (38:37):
My daughters man, Giants and Angels.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
Giants and brewers, gotcha.

Speaker 13 (38:46):
Man, Hey, my nervous love the seven. I was gonna
raise it up to maybe eight, but Tim, you've convinced
me to. So you ask that question, I said, I'm
a seven. I believe the team because I am mostly
positive because the do or die. So now you know,
don't be holding hing in the gas tank. Don't be
don't be second guessing. Pat Murphy, why are you acting

(39:07):
like Craig Council right now? He's doing you being with
did they switch places? Switch personality? Switch?

Speaker 11 (39:11):
Mind?

Speaker 13 (39:12):
But that's what something Craig Council will do, switch up
the lineup and then not switch it back.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
I get it.

Speaker 13 (39:17):
If you have a two game leads and you all
you needed to do was win one more, you want
to do a little experimenting, that's up to you. You're
gonna get burned, you know what I mean. So he
got burned, but he didn't switch the lineup back. That's unacceptable. Man,
you don't break you don't fix things are not broken.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
This is a playoffs.

Speaker 13 (39:33):
This is do or die, you know what I mean.

Speaker 8 (39:35):
So you go out and.

Speaker 13 (39:37):
That's why I believe the blup who can get it done.
But if doe or die, you're at middle of park.
Don't let it be like last year. Reason why I
bring that up because it's it's a bitter taste because
you're at home and you're gonna lose if you do.
If we do lose, a fan so I mean, have
fourteen so we lose ton be a slap in your face. Yeah,
you won the division. You can put that two thousand
and twenty five division title up there a little banner,

(40:00):
or you can put the year up there. They can
never take that away. But the fact is, when you
go back into in the future, look at all the
times you got slapped in the fake Nationals twenty nineteen.
You know, the damn tone Gas Dodgers twenty eighteen.

Speaker 11 (40:13):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 13 (40:14):
We remember the bitter taste, not because you know, I mean,
of course we got to the playoffs. I mean the
organization that suffered for a lot a lot of losing,
you know what I mean, Just like my angels are
doing now. But you know, so that's the thing. So
I believe in it.

Speaker 8 (40:26):
Man.

Speaker 13 (40:26):
But Craig, that's to me, Well, I think Tat Murphy
was overthinking.

Speaker 8 (40:32):
You who cares?

Speaker 13 (40:33):
If you're the older guy and you have these older ways,
you go by your gut, Who cares?

Speaker 5 (40:36):
Man?

Speaker 13 (40:36):
You were winning, that was the forum. You didn't need
to switch it up. And if you're telling me to
that Quintana should have could have started game three. Huh,
that's what you were saying. That's what you think you
should should have started.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Why he didn't, I don't understand it.

Speaker 8 (40:50):
Why not?

Speaker 5 (40:51):
I mean because Nember, I think the.

Speaker 13 (40:54):
Platt Murphy was kind of like, kind of slick about
you know how you tricky? I guess you somewhat games
they ship When he had a priest throughout their warrants.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
In game two, oh yeah, Oh.

Speaker 13 (41:05):
I wasn't gonna play him anyway, you know in that
little chuckle you didn't need to play them in game three, man,
you should have put this for sure winning because this
is your wile.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
But now granted to be to be fair, he is
really challenged on his starting rotation right now. It I mean,
this is bookending the start of the season with the
end of the towards the end of the season here
with injuries to his starting rotation, that Brandon Wood injury. Guys,
you got to start thinking about the playoff jinks in

(41:34):
terms of injuries. It's it's starting to add up here.
And there might be something to that going all the
way back to Raleigh Fingers, but fast way forward and
go to you know, Ben Sheets and Giovanni Guardo and
Brandon woodroof and you know a couple of years ago
for Woody, So there's something there with that that injury thing.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
Yeah, but with somebody who lives in the now, Timmy,
the reason why we're in this conundrum, and yes, the
Woody injury, it really sucks and it really hurts. But
the reason why we're in this on the struggle bus
now with our starting pitching is because of Game two.
Because you had a week off and in Game two
you go bullpen instead of going with the Judas Priester

(42:18):
at home in Game two and Quintana in three, And
if you would have dropped any one of those, then
you could have gone bullpen in four and had Freddy
with extra rest ready for five. So you know, yes,
I understand that the Woody injury switched a whole lot
of things up and makes this look worse, or you know,

(42:39):
makes it look bad.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
It is bad right now. But uh, that was because
of the decision that was made in game two.

Speaker 5 (42:48):
Ayally that that's the trip, man, that's a trip.

Speaker 19 (42:50):
Man.

Speaker 13 (42:50):
Man, you got you got the bump you wanted, man,
game and I get that. But at the end of
the day, man, you just gotta win.

Speaker 5 (42:58):
You gotta win.

Speaker 13 (42:58):
Gotta pull out all the top.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Away, find a way. It doesn't matter, doesn't. You gotta
be careful. To Vince Vincent, you got it back to
Jackson Cherio leading off right, Vincent, good conversation, man, Yeah,
good stuff. Something to point out that is somewhat significant
here and something to look out for in game five

(43:23):
when uh, when a team gets a good look at
a bunch of bunch of pitches, bunch of innings for
a reliever, be careful in the postseason, so a guy
like Aaron Asby, they've been seeing him a little bit,
be careful, be careful late in the game. Kanegg Is

(43:44):
is one that you know, he didn't make it out
of the out of the inning yesterday. I still would
go with him to open for miz. But you know,
you got to be careful some of those some of
those relievers that are getting multiple showings. If you will
against those Cub hitters, you gotta watch out, all right.

(44:04):
I do believe they'll find a way. It's not looking
good right now. The momentum clearly is not on the
Brewers side. There's no question about that. We are questioning
some of the decisions. That's what happens when you lose,
and it's okay to question them. But they lose Tonight's
six zip. They score three runs in the two games
in Chicago. We're gonna hear about the environment which was

(44:28):
rabid because they were in do or die. Okay, well, now, Brewers,
welcome to it is. This is your first look at
a win or go home game. It's not good, all right.
Eight seven seven seven three nicolay Law dot Com talk

(44:49):
and text line Brewers fall tonight series even at a
couple of games. Apiece. There's Jeff tim postgame show with
Potawatomie sportsbook right here on the game text from a
Cub fan friend of mine. We used to be a
friend of mine. Yeah he's off, Yeah no he is.

(45:09):
How does that feel? Okay, man, maybe that text was
just one game too early, dude, because I'll get you
after Saturday, Yes, sir, and it'll be double double way.
You know when that happens pipe bombed to me, I
always feel bad pushing that text back at him, and

(45:31):
I end up just now, I'll punt it. No, I
won't do it. I'll be the bigger person here and
just say, you know, I'll you know whatever. I won't
even answer it or won't even push it. I'll just
see him next week at the bar or something and
it'll all calm down. But what I want to do
since I got it tonight, my plan is give it

(45:52):
back double after the Brewers win on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Oh yeah, but I won't.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
I'll chick it out.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Oh come on, I will. I will well drink some
wild turkey that'll get you angry and uh and then
you'll sit there and give it back fivefold.

Speaker 1 (46:10):

Captain Bill, what's happened?

Speaker 11 (46:25):
Yeah, I'm not quite as positive as Isaac two.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Point two point five. All Right, I like it.

Speaker 11 (46:34):
Yeah, yeah's just gonna hit a home run. Varmer's gonna
hit a home run. Swing was gonna hit a home run? Oh,
because they're used to seeing that. Not quite as much,
but they're used to seeing that. Cubs bullpen too, and uh,
they're gonna pull it off. And I probably believe that.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Find it. Thank you, Bill, thank you. Yeah, find a way,
find a way, find a way, Tyler, you found your
way on the air. What's going on?

Speaker 20 (47:03):
Hey, damn, it's it's been a while. But I'm not
gonna say what my confidence well is. I'll just say
I've been hating the file on the Brandy tonight. Okay,
That's all I'll say. But I will, like, honestly, i
will what everyone else has been saying. I'm just gonna
regurgitate it. It seems as if I don't know, Pat

(47:25):
is trying to if heels trying to be cute or
trying out smart himself, which is a chronic problem among
coaches and managers nowadays. They try to try to go, oh,
what would I do? And what do they think I'm
gonna do? I'm gonna try to out smart myself and
it doesn't work. It hardly, if ever works, And like

(47:46):
I said, I can only regurgitate what it's been said. Yes,
presearchhoud have started game two. Yes, Katasha started Game three
in that cauldron with that Rabbit fan base plowing a
practical rookie out there in front that kind of a
crowd in Game three. I was very apprehensive about it,

(48:08):
and if it worked, I.

Speaker 14 (48:09):
Would have said, Okay, Pat well de dice and.

Speaker 20 (48:12):
It worked out. But in my head I kept saying
it should be Katana, it should be Kantana. And then
I don't know if he had to, if he decided
to press the pank button and start ready tonight. But
everything that Pat has done these last two games, it
has been the exact opposite of what has been weighing
in games all year.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Yeah, no question, he.

Speaker 20 (48:35):
Needs He honestly needs to have to sit down. Maybe,
and I don't know if the l H has to
tell Pat. Look, if you try to send me a
lead off again, I'm going to fit myself. I'm going
to do this for the good of the team. I
know that's that's reaching it, But honestly, someone needs to
tell Pat. Look, this was x Y and Z this

(48:56):
is what won you ninety seven games this year. You
need to go back to that.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
Yep, yeah, Tyler, Awesome, awesome call Tyler.

Speaker 15 (49:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
It's been a while, but thank thanks for calling. Good
hearing from you. All Right, we go to Justin. Justin,
you were at it last night. But it's down to
one game now, and I mean, the only way. You've
got to find a way. I don't know what Merv's
gonna do at this point. I don't know what Murph's

(49:27):
gonna do. I only have my guesses. But uh, yeah,
what's what's going on?

Speaker 8 (49:33):
Man?

Speaker 21 (49:34):
I'm laughing to keep for crying.

Speaker 6 (49:35):
We're so cooked, you know what.

Speaker 14 (49:36):
We're cooked because I agree with everything Vison said.

Speaker 8 (49:39):
I agree with everything. Hey, let me read it.

Speaker 10 (49:45):
Let me read a quote for you, right, So it
said we should punish these guys. We should want to
leave a statement. It should be a statement win. It
should be a statement on defense. We should be pest off.
We just I'm ad living a little bit. We just
got our asses kicked in Chicago.

Speaker 16 (50:02):
Come out here and play Saturday and whoop some butt if.

Speaker 10 (50:07):
We are really dogs that Michael Parks is talking about
the Cincinnati Bengals. So maybe Pat Murphy should channel a
little bit of your former.

Speaker 14 (50:15):
Guy, Kim Surr a guy pipe.

Speaker 16 (50:18):
In front of Channel this. But you know what, man,
you know I'm mad since why I'm mad because I
heard people call in for the last umpteen years before
Pat Murphy got this job, and we call up the
great Council's head said he wasn't this, Seid, he wasn't that.
Guess what Pat Murphy's done the same goddamn thing.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
And what's crazy is counsel has a chance to get
that last gotcha.

Speaker 10 (50:49):
The last gotcha.

Speaker 19 (50:50):
And you know it was what really infuriated me tonight,
Tim watching him come on TBS. And by the way,
I was doing a Bucks postgame show at the same time,
and you should go back or rewatch that and see
my facial reactions. I watched the Brewers game during the
entire postgame show. Anyway, his smug looks his White Fist Bay. Look,

(51:11):
you know, he made a stupid video. He's one of us.

Speaker 10 (51:14):
You're not one of us, bro, You're from White Fist Bay,
where your taxes are way different than us in the five, three,
twelve nine.

Speaker 8 (51:22):
You're not one of us. That's why you're in.

Speaker 16 (51:24):
Chicago tasting more money, just saying what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (51:27):
No, your dad worked with the Brewis.

Speaker 10 (51:28):
And all that, but f him. And I'm really concerned
that Murphy talked about Priester was over his head, and Nate.

Speaker 14 (51:36):
Shot up to Nade the north side.

Speaker 12 (51:37):
He said the.

Speaker 10 (51:38):
Same thing, Murphy maybe over his head. I'm really scared
because a game, well.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
You know, you know what's you know what's interesting though,
if you look at game two and you went with Ashby,
I'm not quite sure why, but he did it and
he got away with it. Okay, so he goes with
Ashby in the quote bullpen game. Do you think the
plan could have been, Well, Priest, we're gonna wait a
little bit. We'll get him into say game four, and

(52:07):
everything's patterned out here. But I'm gonna do a bullpen
game game two. See if m I get away with it,
it's at home. I get away with it with a victory.
And they said, well, I can always go to Kingtana
in game four, so I'm going Priest in three. The
problem was Priest only got two thirds of an inning

(52:27):
and you had to go with King Tana. And then
it pushed Freddy back up on his four days rest
instead of everyone wanted him five or more days rest.
Could that be what happened here is that he got
a little greedy in that ooh yeah, the pattern was
to have King Tana go, but since he had to

(52:48):
use King Tana after Priest, that screwed everything up. And
it started with game two.

Speaker 21 (52:54):
Super plausible theory and I don't disagree with it. The
problem with Pat Murphy thoughse he's blue as low t
early like Quinton in game three, you blew, Aaron asked
me in this game. So we go into game five
and like, what the hell are we doing?

Speaker 1 (53:08):
And obviously this is.

Speaker 10 (53:09):
A Monday morning quarterback thought, but if you looked at
the way that pipe guys Saint Patrick has pits in
this postseason, maybe start him. I mean, he was a
guy that got a lot of outs versus season too.
I know Priest with him and all that other stuff.
And you know we can debate that to a blue
in the face on my skill of one to ten

(53:29):
is confidence and I and are nervous. Excuse me? I
heard Bill and I heard the other homie two Ike shout.

Speaker 14 (53:36):
Out to Ike.

Speaker 10 (53:36):
He's all these beating fat Chicago bitches like Ike Turner did,
because that's what we need to do. No, yeah, I
don't think we like I just don't know. I see
nothing these last two games to show me that we
have a shot. However, I saw nothing in the first
two games that showed me that the Cubs had a shot.

Speaker 1 (53:59):
So that means right where we want them.

Speaker 9 (54:05):
I hope you and I hope you're right, man, I
hope all you're right. I hope Bill's right.

Speaker 8 (54:09):
I hope Ike is right.

Speaker 19 (54:10):
Man, like we just hey, man, I'm telling you, man,
this is this is the most depressing.

Speaker 18 (54:16):
It's scary postseason ever.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
It's scary. It's it's the worst possible way you could
end your season. I don't care. You could end it
with a walk off by the Dodgers in the NLCS
and it wouldn't hurt me as hard as getting bounced
out by this Cub team. Either way, I'd be I'd
be upset because the season ended, and and you know,

(54:42):
you don't get another A year goes by, you don't
get the World Series. But for any other team to
get rid of them, fine, it's it sucks. But for
this team, it's like times ten.

Speaker 8 (54:56):
Let me get one last point, then I'm gonna get
out of here, man.

Speaker 10 (54:58):
But I mean, you're you're absolutely right.

Speaker 19 (55:00):
You could even lose every World Series game twenty eight
to nothing, but that would be better.

Speaker 14 (55:05):
Than losing to the Chicago Cubs.

Speaker 20 (55:06):
But when you and shout out.

Speaker 19 (55:08):
To Uncle James, and I hope aunt Terry's service was
everything that it was supposed to be.

Speaker 14 (55:13):
But when you hear that with.

Speaker 10 (55:14):
Aunt Terry, who lifelong Brewers fan, you see a guy
like Bob, You see people like our grandparents, our parents
and all these people who are tuned in every single
pitch every year, and you're not guaranteed.

Speaker 9 (55:27):
Twenty twenty six.

Speaker 10 (55:29):
That's what's really scary.

Speaker 8 (55:30):
It's not the Brewers losing.

Speaker 10 (55:32):
It's the fact that the family may lose someone else
again in between this off season. And that's why I
hope that these guys could kind of get it together
for Saturday night. Man, I don't got anything left good
enough but free to pipe bomb. I'm so f and
pissed off, but we're not gonna say the F word
until Saturday, because you know, you can't just make me

(55:55):
never mind.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
Maybe I get you, I get you, maybe.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
Fantastic, yes, fun, yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Yeah, No, that's a good point. And you know life
is life and death is death, and and you know
another year would go by, and who's gonna you know,
fall to the wayside within the next year, God only knows.
And it you know, you want to keep this going

(56:28):
for the people that are here. Now, I get it,
I get it, all right, who's next.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
Let's bring in Ryan?

Speaker 1 (56:39):
Ryan? Are you positive your nervous meter? Is it cool?
Is a cucumber down around the one two range? Or
is it maybe a little more?

Speaker 15 (56:47):
Now?

Speaker 1 (56:47):
Remember mortified as ten, I'm at about a seven zero zero.

Speaker 18 (57:00):
This team always comes back, yes, usually, I know. Okay,
I'm a seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
I thought you went from a zero to a seven
and a half.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
Well, you had another drag.

Speaker 18 (57:26):
This team is going to dominate tomorrow Saturday night at
six thirty.

Speaker 8 (57:30):
I know what I'm doing at six thirty.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
Okay, is this six thirty or seven? When when's the game?

Speaker 15 (57:35):
I have?

Speaker 1 (57:36):
It's seven? Right?

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (57:41):
Oh I have to change my beer drinking plans.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
No, no, just mix in one more water.

Speaker 8 (57:52):
If you start preester just like they did the Void,
then changes.

Speaker 18 (58:02):
Oh, win the.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
Game, yes, sir, yeah, let's win all right, Thank thank you.

Speaker 7 (58:10):
Ryan.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
Thank you, Ryan dies he just crow, I thank you.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
I think he tried to Rick flare it.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
I think you did.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
But let's see, let's bring in Dale Dale.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
Good evening to you, gentlemen.

Speaker 8 (58:27):
First time, long time.

Speaker 22 (58:28):
Of course, the first time I came in is at
twelve thirty at night after a Brewer's loss. But hey,
we deal with the cars, were debt.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
With, right, that's right.

Speaker 8 (58:37):
So let me throw this out there.

Speaker 22 (58:40):
My confidence level right now nervous meters out of four.
And that's only because right now I'm making myself sick
thinking of losing on Saturday, had the Brewer. Had the
Brewers lost the first game, won the next two and
then lost tonight, and you still came here.

Speaker 8 (58:58):
It was still me to too. Yes, Rwers did what
they had to do at home. The Cubs did what
they had to do at home.

Speaker 22 (59:04):
This is why you win ninety seven games and get
home field advantage.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
Right, Yes, that's true.

Speaker 8 (59:11):
So the one thing that.

Speaker 22 (59:14):
What I've been thinking about is, yes, maybe Pat Murphy's
he's out coaching himself. We talk about the lineup. If
you want to go an offensive lineup, why not put
Yelly and left field and put Vaughn er Bauers at
DH and the other.

Speaker 5 (59:27):
One at first base.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 8 (59:30):
Get the offense in there.

Speaker 22 (59:32):
You talked about how he gambled with Ashby and he
got lucky, right, What was the.

Speaker 8 (59:39):
Lineup that bailed him out?

Speaker 22 (59:41):
And yet he still went away from it in both
of these games.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
And one of them against the lefty again. I mean
there was lefty lefty opponent in games one and two
and four, And why was the game four different from
one and two?

Speaker 22 (59:58):
I know, it blows my mind because if you have
the lineup that you had in games one or two,
curios of wildcard.

Speaker 8 (01:00:05):
Right, he's gonna do what he wants.

Speaker 22 (01:00:06):
Contreras is protecting terrain, Yelly is protecting Contrella.

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Yep.

Speaker 8 (01:00:11):
Bond is protecting Yelly. I mean, it's just a domino effect.

Speaker 22 (01:00:15):
Well, we can't let happen in game five.

Speaker 8 (01:00:18):
We cannot let the bottom of the order become.

Speaker 22 (01:00:20):
A black hole and have rallies die with the bottom
of the order. Cannot let that happen. One or two
of those guys the bottom have got to step up.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
Dervin Ortiz, I mean, Durvin I think has two hits,
two for fourteen in the series. So he's got to
get it together. I really thought he was going to
come up with a big hit in this series thus far,
just as the one, a two run base hit, but
I thought it'd be a bigger hit than that. But yeah,
you're you're right on the money. First time calling. When

(01:00:51):
did you discover the postgame show, Dale?

Speaker 8 (01:00:56):
Probably three or four years ago. I did.

Speaker 22 (01:01:00):
I never really tried to call, except for a couple
of times this year. I really wanted to call you
when the Brewers, when Monasterio had that big home run.

Speaker 8 (01:01:09):
To extend the win streak to fourteen.

Speaker 11 (01:01:11):
Ye.

Speaker 8 (01:01:11):
I was actually.

Speaker 22 (01:01:12):
At in Appleton that night. Me and the family went
to go watch My Day and those guys playing for
in Appleton and that game, the crowd went nuts, and
I wanted to try to get into share that with y'all.

Speaker 8 (01:01:29):
But I'm sharing it now, so mission accomplished.

Speaker 22 (01:01:31):
Right, Hey, one more thing before you before I get
out of here, I want to give a Curtsey.

Speaker 8 (01:01:37):
This goes out to ESPN dot com Jesse Rodgers.

Speaker 22 (01:01:41):
He had a really cool stat that's interesting. In postseason history,
ninety teams have lost their first two games right. Seventeen
of those ninety forced at game five of those seventeen.
Those seventeen teams went ten to seven in Game five.
Got it is basically a fifty to fifty toss up.

(01:02:04):
You gotta get out there and bush them whatever you
gotta do. If they I don't think the Cubs are
gonna send Showda out there. I really don't think they're
going to. But if they do and bush the heck
out of it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
Well could it could have been? Did Colin Ray make
the roster? Yeah? So Colin Ray, Aaron Savali and Craig
Council get the last laugh. Come on, that just can't happen.

Speaker 22 (01:02:27):
It won't, can't happen, cannot happen, can be If you
lose this, this could possibly be franchise crushing because you
know what players talk right in the off season, They're
going to talk about the confidence of the Brewer's front office,
of the Brewers coaching staff, and some of the decisions
that have made that have led to this point.

Speaker 8 (01:02:47):
If things go bad. But things are not going to
go bad. I feel good about Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Great call, Dale, great call. Don't be a stranger man. Thanks,
that's taking it. Yeah, that's cool. That was that was nice.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Yeah, yeah, it sure was the.

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
Other thing to think about during this break, and we'll
get to Pat Murphy here the other thing to think
about in this and we'll get to Hunter on the
other side. Okay, is is this What kind of long
lasting effect will this have in ensuing years twenty twenty six,

(01:03:22):
twenty twenty seven. These rosters are young, These same group
of players are going to be playing against each other
again and again and again. Set the tone with bouncing
them out, and you'll have that moving forward. You will

(01:03:42):
have that over the Cubs moving forward, going into the
twenty six championship season. You already know what you did
to that team. You won the division over them, and
you bounced them out as well. They're looking up at you.
Don't change that because that's the way it's been for

(01:04:03):
a while here over the Cubs.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
They've been.

Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
Yeah, they've been looking up at us for a long time.
They've been little brother for sure. The thing is and
you know, obviously it was such a glorious first call.
I don't want to disagree with Dale, but who cares
what other people say in baseball?

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Who's going to be talking.

Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
The Brewers still ended up, no matter what happens on Saturdays,
still ended up with the best record in the regular season,
still surpassed every single person's expectations going in. You could,
you know, talk about the payroll discrepancies. You can talk
about whatever the hell you want. So what are we
worried about that? Showhy or Mookie Betts or you know,

(01:04:48):
Bryce Harper's go, Well, those Brewers sure can't get it
done in the playoffs. Those aren't the dudes that are
going to be playing here anyway, right, So who the
hell cares you think that Andrew Monasterio, before he sits
down and autographs his next contract, is going to be
worried about if the Brewers get it done in October

(01:05:08):
or not. Hell no, He's happy to be paid and
to have a spot in the league. So I wouldn't
worry about what other players talk about, you know, because
most of those guys are way above the payroll that
we're concerned at and that this team zero's in on.

Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
Don't let them do it to you. Don't let him
do it to you. Don't let him do it to you.

Speaker 15 (01:05:31):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
Okay, Game five coming up Saturday, coming up next. Hunter
Bombguard was at Wrigley Field. He texted me a couple
of times on the environment.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Oh was it some smog over Wrigley.

Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
This should be interesting. We'll get to Hunter on the
other side. Brewers fall forcing a Game five in Milwaukee
on Saturday, and we'll be talking about it as well
as tonight and Saturday night postgame show with Pop Wanta
Mey sportsbook. Don't go anywhere. Still more to come here
on the game. Okay, let's talk about that environment down

(01:06:11):
at Wrigley Field. Is the Brewers fall in Game four
and forced a winner take all in the series Game
five on Saturday night. Yikes, Brewers had him on the ropes. Now,
nobody has anybody on the ropes postgame show with Potawatomy Sportsbook. Hunter,
welcome aboard our Brewers Insider. You were there. We were

(01:06:34):
texting back and forth and it was a rabid fan base.

Speaker 23 (01:06:39):
Yeah, yeah, that was you know, it's interesting.

Speaker 24 (01:06:43):
Craig Council said after that he's never seen a baseball
game like that. I I don't know if I have
either that impacted the game on the field. Now, I
think the Brewers were heavily positively impacted by the crowd
in the first two games of this series, but that

(01:07:04):
negatively affecting the opponent I don't know if I have
seen that direct effect like it was.

Speaker 23 (01:07:10):
It was very clear.

Speaker 24 (01:07:12):
Pat Murphy saying that you know that they'll never play
in an environment like that. You know that what doesn't
get tougher than that? I kind of agree. The way
the crowd was coordinated and chanting each of the pitcher's names,
I mean that was I'm sorry, and I you know
you don't want you don't want to give credit, but
credit where credit is due. Cubs fans came tonight to
force Game five, and they I think had an impact

(01:07:34):
on this team.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
Well, I think I'm going to throw up hearing that.

Speaker 24 (01:07:38):
Yeah, yeah, I was. I was gagging in my seat
in the press box.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
Tim, Yeah, that is that is wild. So eleven runs
in the first inning. Brewers starters in this series thus
far run aloud in game one? How about three in
game two? Four in game three and three here, I mean,
that's the total of eleven that's got to stop. And

(01:08:06):
you talk about tone setting, It's just I don't are
they ready to go? I mean you should say yes,
and I'm assuming you're gonna say yes, but it doesn't
appear that way. Guys. You got to hold them off
the board in the first inning. I think that is
that has impacted the situation to be a to two tie.

Speaker 23 (01:08:28):
Yeah, it's one thing to be ready to go.

Speaker 24 (01:08:30):
It's another to execute pitches in a playoff game in
the first inning, and they just have not been able
to do that consistently. So as much as the pitchers
can say they're ready to go or we think they're
ready to go, and they might be ready to go,
so to speak, they.

Speaker 23 (01:08:42):
Just have not been able to execute.

Speaker 24 (01:08:44):
And it comes down to them being able to make
sure that they keep the other team off the board.
And I hit the ball of the ballpark. I mean
it's you know, and so I think it's just been
that has been. They've homeward and every it's not just
scoring runs. They've literally hit the ball of the ballpark
in all four for stinning.

Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
And that that is that is huge. Okay. So that
being said, they've scored a handful of runs outside of
the first inning, not many. I think it's four earned runs.
I think five or six total. And that that being said,
with the Brewers offense scuffling here a little bit, no

(01:09:22):
runs tonight, just three yesterday, might it be time to
gamble with more offense. In other words, Collins, you're gonna
play left field, We're gonna gamble on your defense. Cheerio,
are you're gonna play center field, We're going to gamble
on your defense. In your hamstring. Take it easy. But
that does allow both Vaughn as well as Bowers to

(01:09:44):
be in the lineup. Is it time to go to offense?

Speaker 23 (01:09:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 24 (01:09:48):
It's tough because as soon as you do that, maybe
you're you know, maybe the Brewers pitchers hold the Cubs
down in Game five, and then you don't really you know,
like and then you're sacrificing defense in a low scoring
game like I don't know. I I they seem to
trust the guys they're putting out there. It just has
not worked. The last two games. Ty one and Boyd
have really executed pitches, and they've been good all season long.

(01:10:10):
So to be honest, the boy on short rest in
Game one was anominaly in some respects, and so I
do credit the Cubs pitching a little bit. So I
don't think I drastically change it. But I still don't
love this Yellich in the leadoff spot thing. I just
it just does not seem like they are able to
muster offense when that happens.

Speaker 23 (01:10:29):
And I know, and he's.

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
Against the lefty here hunter, why why wouldn't it have
been the same lineup against the two lefties that started
Game one and two.

Speaker 23 (01:10:39):
Yep, I don't I don't know, I don't.

Speaker 24 (01:10:42):
You know, he said he wanted Yelich to hit, you know,
as many times as he could and get up there
as many times.

Speaker 23 (01:10:47):
As he could.

Speaker 24 (01:10:47):
And look last night, cool did it come down to?
Yelich was at the place as the tying run in
the ninth inning. So I get that, and so it's it.
That was kind of his rationale. But again, you you
won a certain way in games one, and so I
get that rationale.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Absolutely. Wow, it's it's interesting. So I do know this
Saturday it's going to involve Miserowski in some regard. How
do you think he'll be deployed?

Speaker 24 (01:11:14):
Yes, I think he he may start, depending on Jose Kintana.
If Kingtana is ready, I think he'll start. But I
do think he gets a few innings somewhere in the
early part of the baseball game, hopefully not you know,
when it's I think it's you know, it might be
leverage it might be close games still, maybe you get
a little bit of a lead and then he comes in.

(01:11:34):
If Ktana's ready, I think Kingtana starts, but I don't
know exactly what the status is going to be as
far as the bullpen.

Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
Yeah, I would think it'd be Kintana or even the
opener caning.

Speaker 23 (01:11:45):
Yeah, that's possible too.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
That's a good day.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
And then and then Missowski came in in game two
in a three to three game, which surprised a lot
of us. And I could see that to your point,
in a leverage situation for Miserowski. But you know, King
Tana is not going to have any length here. I
would say, a couple of innings, don't you.

Speaker 24 (01:12:06):
Think, Yeah, I yeah, I would think so. I think
everybody's going to go just a couple of innings and
you're gonna see a bullpen type of game. But look,
it just yeah, it comes down to those guys. It's
worked a couple of times where they've kept them off
the board. Last night, the offenses couldn't quite do what
they needed to do. But I think a bullpen game
can work. And look, it's back at your place too,

(01:12:28):
And I think, like I mentioned, tonight. The environment is
is advantageous the Brewers in American family field, and I'm
looking forward to that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
Well, okay, final thing here, then the if necessary Game five,
now it's necessary. Did that then open the door to
more cub ticket purchases. I'm gonna I'm gonna guess yes.

Speaker 24 (01:12:47):
Possibly, Yeah, I think you'll see a little more. I
think they have. You know, I'm sure Brewers fans definitely
bought all five just in case, but I think there's
a little more because people knew they were going to
a game in Game one or two. So absolutely, and
so I think absolutely there is a there's a definite
possibility there.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
So we're where tickets available then the last couple of days.

Speaker 24 (01:13:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, right, five that's sold yeah, oh yeah,
oh yeah. It's been since they put nlds on the
you know, if they since they put the NLDS on
when it was September, I don't know, twenty something or other.
Game five has been yeah, on sale, So I.

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
Know, but I say they weren't sold out the last
forty eight hours though.

Speaker 24 (01:13:37):
You're saying, well, from what I understood coming into the series,
standing room only was the only option good.

Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
Any ticket okay, good, good, good good, Yes, yeah, yeah, okay, yes,
that's great news.

Speaker 23 (01:13:51):
Yes, that's as far as I know. You know, I
think it is.

Speaker 24 (01:13:54):
When I talked to Rick Lessinger at that pancake breakfast,
that's what he said. So I think we are. Yeah,
I think it's going to still be a huge contingitive
Brewers fans.

Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
You know.

Speaker 23 (01:14:04):
So yeah, yep, yep.

Speaker 24 (01:14:06):
So I think we can rest a little easy on that.
But again, will it be maybe a little more than
games one and two because they have a little momentum
and you know who knows about that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
But final thing, final thing? Who starts for Chicago? Do
they go to Emmanaga? I would think so, I'm gonna
guess not. He's been just giving up home runs at
at a high level. I hope they do well. I
should shouldn't say that. Just either way, try and find
a way to win. But I'm gonna guess they they

(01:14:39):
may go with a bullpen right out of the shoot.
Maybe Amanaga is involved somewhere there, a Savali. I mean,
he did well, he did well early in the series.

Speaker 24 (01:14:53):
Hmmm, that's it's possible actually, because like you said, he's
actually more effective than anybody else, really Colin Ray as
an Octrea could be Ray against his former team.

Speaker 23 (01:15:05):
Oh my gosh. Storylines just continue to abound in.

Speaker 1 (01:15:08):
This series and Council come home back and oh y wow.

Speaker 23 (01:15:13):
And ooh yikes wow. I think that's a great way
to put it.

Speaker 24 (01:15:16):
I it's you're right, I mean, I I it's hard
for me to think they go away from one of
their best pictures and e Managa, but like you said,
he's not been great. So boy, it's it's so I
you could see like a start by Ray and then
maybe you know it's because me it's one of these
games that we see it another we saw in the
Wildcard series, you know, where you have game threes, it's

(01:15:37):
all hands on deck and you could see guys in
different parts of the game where you don't expect them
and all that. So maybe it's Imanaga's ready, but he
maybe doesn't start. Maybe you do start a Ray or
a Savale to see if you can, you know, quell
uprisings early and then bringing Emanaga in the middle.

Speaker 5 (01:15:53):
You know.

Speaker 24 (01:15:53):
So it's going to be creative for both teams, and
I think it's going to be sick magnificant. I just
I think it's obviously imperative to score early. But you again,
just keep the Cubs off the board in the first inning.

Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
I mean half it that home run. I was like,
just again, really all right, well, safe travels back and
then we'll be in touch tomorrow and Saturday for sure,
you bet.

Speaker 24 (01:16:23):
I mean, hey, look you get I know there's some
you know, it's like, all right, the momentum seems to
be on the Cubs side, but look, you get this.
You get this game five back at your place for
a reason. It's because you're the best team in baseball
all season long. Burrs fans come out to the field
Saturday night, there's going to be it's hard to beat
what's going to be at American Family Field. It's seven

(01:16:45):
o eight on Saturday night. That is going to be
a memory you'll have forever. You'll you get to see
they win, You get to see the celebration on the field,
the entire deal. So so get to the American Family Field,
keep those tickets and let's have a grand old time
on Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
Talk to you that Hunter. Thanks guys, all right there
he is Hunter bomb Gar Brewers Insider here on ninety
seven to three The Game and the iHeartRadio app we'll
get to Pat Murphy on the other side postgame show
with Potawatomy Sportsbook.

Speaker 25 (01:17:15):
On the game, Murph, what did you make of Freddy's
struggles in the first inning there today and how did
you think he was able to get it back on
track as the game went along. Yeah, I thought, yeah,
there's one pitch in the first inning he take back,
you know, he had two outs and he made a
pitch too much down the middle and a Hap's been

(01:17:36):
really good for them, and yeah, credit Hap, you know,
putting a good swing on it. He didn't really get
to calibrate a fastball and credit him, you know. But
I thought Freddy did a nice job after that. It's
a tough environment and I thought Freddy got through it.
I could have left him in, but we've got to
be mindful. He's in the eighties.

Speaker 15 (01:17:58):
Where is that going to bring you again? He's got it.
He's got a start for his game too.

Speaker 26 (01:18:04):
So it comes to the second row on the right.
Thanks Magan Murphy.

Speaker 27 (01:18:13):
It looked like Freddy was trying to establish that change
up pretty early on in the first inning, and he
just was struggling to get it to competitive spots. Do
you think that contributed to some of the sequencing in
the swings.

Speaker 15 (01:18:23):
Yeah, I mean I think that.

Speaker 25 (01:18:25):
Yeah, the two to one pitch to happen is the
change the game, you know, like the other stuff, you know,
And the first inning is always the toughest for a pitcher,
especially in environments like this and big games. I think
first inning can always be the struggle. And I thought
he navigated and had it, had him in a good position,
but hadn't shown him the heater yet. And two to one,

(01:18:49):
you know, got too much of the middle of the plate,
and uh, that really doomed his whole outing. But other
than that, I thought he fews the ball really well
and gave us a change, you know, kept him at bay.
There was some momentum in the second inning, and he
kept him at bay, and I thought did a really
nice job.

Speaker 26 (01:19:07):
It was Scott in the middle third row. Or what
did you see different from Boyd on the mountain tonight?

Speaker 27 (01:19:11):
And did you see anything different than your guys approaches
against him in this dart?

Speaker 25 (01:19:15):
Yeah, I mean he was great. Boyd was fantastic. He
made pitches. That's why they how much money they give him, huh,
thirty nine million? He earned it tonight He was great.
You know, he was on it. He didn't you know,
he didn't leave the ball down the middle, made quality
pitches in you know, dropped his breaking ball in for

(01:19:41):
a strike, you know, made pitches when he needed to.
He was He was fabulous and the catcher did a
nice job.

Speaker 15 (01:19:47):
For them too.

Speaker 26 (01:19:49):
Let's go to Russell, a third row on the left Murph.

Speaker 28 (01:19:52):
With two opponents and know each other so well, you're
probably expecting some momentum swings in the series. You guys
had the first two, they've had it the next two.
Going into a winner take all Game five, how do
you guys get that momentum back on your side?

Speaker 25 (01:20:04):
Yeah, I mean, that's that's something that you can't force,
you know what I mean. Momentum baseball happens based on
what's on the field, you know what I mean. And
the Cubs earned it. They had their backs against the wall,
and they played great these last two games. They pitched great,
they played great, they played great defense, they hit in
the clutch, they hit homers. Yeah, they they're built to

(01:20:29):
be great.

Speaker 15 (01:20:30):
And they played great these two games.

Speaker 25 (01:20:32):
So hopefully the tables will turned when we'll get into
Game five at our place. But you know we have to.
We have to find out how bad. You know we're
going to fight back. We have all season. This is
not a team that has strung together losing streak or
anything like that, and they've done it in a number

(01:20:54):
of different ways. So I admire our team. I have
faith in our team, and I think this had to
happen this way. There'll be no tougher environment to play
in than they just did. This is a good prep
for us, and I think you know, we'll be ready
to play. I'm certain we'll be ready to play in
game five.

Speaker 26 (01:21:13):
It's good to megan first row here on the right.
Then we'll go back to Jack.

Speaker 29 (01:21:17):
Do you think I mean you kind of just touch
it on a little bit. Being back in front of
the home crowd. What you guys did in those first
two games gives you a bit of an advantage going
into a game.

Speaker 25 (01:21:27):
Five like that, or well, it definitely, it definitely is preferred.
If you're asking me where I prefer to play, I'd
rather say at home. Especially how good this environment was
last two days, I mean it was it affected the game.
You know, this crowd affected the game. The last two
games affected the way we played for sure. We've got
a really young team. I think everybody knows that, maybe

(01:21:48):
by far the youngest team in the postseason. And you know,
it's like that kind of stuff emotionally can affect guys.
They can start to.

Speaker 15 (01:21:58):
Play a little too hard.

Speaker 25 (01:22:01):
This game is a game of precision, and you know
the Cubs experience and what they've been through, you know,
they were better in this environment for sure, Jack Murph,
was there any consideration of hitting for Joey in the
fifth inning there?

Speaker 5 (01:22:17):
And then?

Speaker 27 (01:22:18):
Can you just kind of break down the decision to
bunt in the way that you guys approached that situation.

Speaker 25 (01:22:22):
Yeah, I mean, we have a choice to make in
the game taking out a guy that's one of the
best defensive short stops.

Speaker 15 (01:22:29):
And you know, obviously he did the.

Speaker 25 (01:22:31):
Job and we didn't do the job after that, but
he did a great job to put us in posis
early in the game. It's in the fourth inning, you know,
and you know, who do you suggest we pinch hit there?

Speaker 15 (01:22:43):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 25 (01:22:45):
And then use two players? Whoever we pinch hit, used
two players. Joey does a good job against Boyd. He
had good at bats against Boyd before. But I thought
putting a bunt down and getting us on the board
to get us going. And we got Yelly coming up,
and you know Yelly's hit well too, and you know
Boyd make great pitches in that bat.

Speaker 26 (01:23:05):
Go four rows back in the middle.

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Pat, would you prefer to have that day off tomorrow
to kind of regroup or would you rather that you
were able to just get right back at it and.

Speaker 26 (01:23:15):
Kind of wash this.

Speaker 15 (01:23:17):
No, I'd rather have the day off.

Speaker 24 (01:23:21):
Come here in the second round, Pat, Just what have
you seen from your offense and just the approach last
couple of nights?

Speaker 15 (01:23:29):
What do you mean? What have I seen?

Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Just?

Speaker 26 (01:23:31):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:23:31):
What?

Speaker 24 (01:23:32):
What can you take from the way your offense has,
just the guys at the plate and just the approach
against the last just the last couple of nights.

Speaker 25 (01:23:40):
I guess saw good pitching the last last two nights,
and they pitched very well against us. They pitched wasn't
just overpowering stuff. They really pitched and that gives every
team problems. So those guys have been good against a
lot of teams this year. That's why they won ninety games.
So in this environment with our young team coming off
two big victories, yeah, we didn't.

Speaker 15 (01:24:00):
We didn't You know, guys, look just.

Speaker 25 (01:24:04):
As many positives in the first two games that the
tables were turned here by a way more experienced team
that played really good. When an experienced team plays really good,
you're going to struggle.

Speaker 15 (01:24:16):
So it's not like.

Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
We didn't try, or we didn't play hard or.

Speaker 15 (01:24:20):
I mean, it's just it's baseball. That's why you play
a series. We don't do it a you know.

Speaker 25 (01:24:25):
But now we're in a situation where we've got to
bounce back, and I think we will. I like our
team and I think we'll bounce back.

Speaker 26 (01:24:32):
Murphy will take one more in the fourth row in
the middle. Have you decided on the starter for Game five?

Speaker 8 (01:24:40):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:24:41):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
All right, so no starter for Saturday according to Pat
Murphy there, but we know, I mean, just the reasonable
deduction is going to say that miss Rowski will be involved. Yes, okay,
let's squeeze Dan in here. Dan, okay, Well, that's going
to do it for the callers. Then we'll get some

(01:25:03):
text messages in on the other side here as we
need to wash this one away. And you have less
than forty eight hours to find out if the season
for the Milwaukee Brewers is going to continue. As Game
five of the NLDS is going to approach pretty quick.
And it's the twenty twenty five championship season. That means

(01:25:25):
they won't lose.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
That's right, they will not lose on Saturday. As much
as a lot of this show has been firing brimstone
and nervousness and all that, I'm becoming a little bit
more calm the farther on we go. My confidenitude is growing.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
Okay, good, yeah, yeah, this is not where I wanted
to be.

Speaker 30 (01:25:55):
Oh no, it sucks. Come on, wow, this sucks. Only
a cub Brewer series. And you know what, it's not
gonna surprise me at all.

Speaker 1 (01:26:08):
If there's a tenth inning on Saturday. It wouldn't surprise
me in the least. All Right, we'll take a break,
get to your text messages on the other side postgame
show with Potootomy sportsbook here on the game. I think
I'll pick another profession, maybe writing horoscopes.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Ooh, that could be a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:26:28):
That sounds fun.

Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
I think your lucky number is five as in game five.

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
Game five.

Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
That'll do it. Text messages on the nicolay law dot
com talk and text line after a Brewer's Game four
loss postgame show with Potawatomy sportsbook. Just a couple of
minutes left will squeeze in a few of these text messages.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Murphy crap into bed on his pitching decisions today and
screwing US four tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
Well yeah, well, okay, for those that didn't want Freddy
Prawl to go tonight, I guess in theory you might
be right, right.

Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
Yeah, you know obviously hindsight.

Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
But you know I was with putting them out of
their misery and going with your top guy.

Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
I was too, Yeah, I was too. Alexis says, this
is rough.

Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
Guess we have to come home and win it in
the house that you care built.

Speaker 1 (01:27:28):
There you go, Yuke Magic.

Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
Muzzy says, I had to turn it off if we
lose this series. It's on Murph's little experimental day yesterday.
Poor execution all around. Terrain needs to wake the hell up.
Same for Yelich. But hey, at least we have Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:27:48):
And we do have Saturday. It's game five. It's kind
of tough for this team to beat the Brewers three
in a row. It's it's just going to be tough
for them.

Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
And fam better be rocking on Saturday or we have
failed as Brewer fans. The Cubs fans made a difference
in Games three and four.

Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
Ring it and hey, we've made a different South American
family field too.

Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
Kavika says, I've never seen so many swings and misses
in my life. And this is what happens when your
team is cheap.

Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
Okay, well, we can unpack all that in the offseason
when it gets here.

Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
Okay, JJ.

Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
As we leave Chicago, all I can think of is
I'm so happy we were able to get Lockridge playing
time yesterday. We could go undefeated for the next ten years,
and that decision by Murphy will still upset me.

Speaker 1 (01:28:43):
Well, and guess what Danny Jansen's gonna play on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:28:48):
Okay you better not.

Speaker 1 (01:28:50):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
Terray is absolute trash at the plate.

Speaker 3 (01:28:53):
Is August batting practice, launch angle, home run garbage has
been completely solved by NL pitch or MLB pitching, and
he now has no clue and no hope. I could
see this coming back in early September. That's Mike in Flags.

Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
Yeah he did get Mike a little bit of a
barrel on a flyout to left tonight, but yeah, he's
He's been pretty bad in the series.

Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Yeah, Lex says four inning. Freddy needs to learn a
cutter or a sinker. Okay, love Freddy, but he's not
an ace. Whether the crew comes back or not, man
Arnold needs to trade him in the offseason.

Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
I'm so pissed.

Speaker 3 (01:29:36):
Loved the glorious regular season brewers are regular season masters.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Absolutely hate playoff baseball. It is no fun.

Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
Let's talk Saturday about ten thirty Saturday night. I mean
you may love playoff baseball.

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
No fighting this team at all tonight. They look defeated already.
Gasser was Murphy waving the white flag.

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
It was he was managing for the next game at
that point. Yep.

Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
Zach says his nervouszometer is at eight point nine.

Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
Closer to nine than eight point eight.

Speaker 1 (01:30:12):
Oh yeah, I mean I'm nervous, no question.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
Nervous ometer from Yay is at ten.

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
Team has proven over the last two nights that they
don't have.

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
What it takes.

Speaker 1 (01:30:26):
Well, it's two two, let's find out Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:30:31):
Hammer says Saint Patrick. As the starter, he's been the
best pitcher. He seems to be the most unflappable. He
has pounded the strike zone. He is the most likely
to shut down that damn. First, he's been a bulldog.

Speaker 1 (01:30:46):
He has been.

Speaker 2 (01:30:51):
From the two six to two. Well, we got him
right where we want him go.

Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
Crew, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Bob from Denmark says, is it time to start up
the experiment of Yellis in the leadoff spot. Let's see
sixteen runs scored when he's not and three runs.

Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
Scored when he is.

Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
Yeah, true, that's true. I hope he's three or four. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
Oh yeah, I do too. I do too.

Speaker 3 (01:31:20):
At least the Brewers don't have to go back to
clouncil field.

Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
Go Brewers. They will win game five.

Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
Good for you.

Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
I want someone to ask Murphy why he messed with
the lineup after game two.

Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
That's when the magic ended. He is a bozo.

Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
Okay, I'll repeat it, and you're probably gonna hear it again.
And that is, if you stay with the same lineup
you had in games one and two and start king
Tana both of those things in game three, we're not
even doing a show tonight. They win last night. I'm
convinced of that.

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Yeah, yeah, I agree.

Speaker 3 (01:32:04):
Scrubs had the same defeated look in their eyes after Game.

Speaker 1 (01:32:08):
Two they did.

Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
I'm done with Peralta giving up runs in the first
the Brewers balloon knots are too tight instead of playing
free and easy.

Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
Yeah, it is pressurized and it is tighter. Yes, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Tonight the Brewers look like a completely different team from
the previous three games in the series. Gonna be an
interesting twenty four hours of Wisconsin sports beginning at six Saturday,
with the Badgers, Brewers, and the Packers on Sunday afternoon.

Speaker 30 (01:32:39):
Go Crew, It's gonna be a big weekend. Yeah it is, Yes,
it is. If the Brewers only win their home games,
they Crew still win the World Series. They can absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Sadly, between injuries and experience, I think our players are
just not able to handle the pressures that playoff season brings.
Now it's due or die. My meter is at a nine.
That's from Jill.

Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
Okay, Jill.

Speaker 3 (01:33:10):
Let's not forget how helpless terrang has been at the plate. Felix,
his nervous O meter is at a ten and his
sons is at a seven.

Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
Oh, okay, let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:33:25):
Brewers.

Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
Best record in baseball Aaron Rodgers said it best.

Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
R e l a X nervous ometer at a one.

Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
The best will show up and it's on to the NLCS.

Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
Yeah, just chilling out on Saturday. I'm not gonna raise
my voice at all. Nah, it's that they got this
one right. Does that how I'm supposed to feel? Can't
do it?

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
Can't Jake says, win it for you, positive home energy.
Let's pitch good and hit the dang ball. Nobody's gonna
ever ask the QUI question.

Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
We will never know. Baseball is a humbling game.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
I still believe we're gonna win the NLDS and it's
gonna be fitting because Yuke's heart is still inside AMFAM.

Speaker 1 (01:34:13):
That's from Jeff in a truck needs some Yucher magic
at AMFAM.

Speaker 2 (01:34:18):
Absolutely the four one four. I'd open with your rebay
in game five?

Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
Yeah interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:34:28):
Brewers five and oh when I've attended postseason games over
the last couple of years, and I'll be there on Saturdays.

Speaker 2 (01:34:35):
Good good, good, can't wait to rumble. Yeah, oh yeah,
going for that six pack? Love it, guys said.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
I was at Wrigley tonight and it was way more
electric than the other game I attended in this series,
which was Game two in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
Brewer fans need to bring it on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:34:55):
Ye go crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:34:58):
We are not losing.

Speaker 3 (01:34:59):
It's not but I feel way more confident as I
put distance from game four.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
We got this okay, and then last one here. Remember
Bob Ucker is smiling down on us.

Speaker 1 (01:35:13):
Yes, yeah, well, speaking of Witch, we got to press
the button that sings the smile song.

Speaker 2 (01:35:21):
There it is, there it is. And programming note.

Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
On Saturday night, we will be on Fox Sports nine
to twenty following the game, and the postgame show will
begin after the Admirals game, So they should time out
fairly close together. We might be a couple minutes late,
depending on if it's a quick game. I have a feeling,

(01:35:46):
like you, Timmy, it's not going to be a very
quick game. These playoff games have gone long, so we
should be fine. But Saturday night postgame show on Fox
Sports nine to twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
We will catch you then after a Brewer's victory, and
we will celebrate the NLCS matchup between the Brewers and
the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
Yep, love that, come oh now, love that.

Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
I mean, I'm telling you, something tells me they're going
to find a way.

Speaker 2 (01:36:18):
Same here, same.

Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
It doesn't feel like it necessarily whole heart, but most
of it, they're just gonna find a way because that's
what they've done. All right, that's gonna do it for us.
Good night or good morning, I should say, we'll see
you on Saturday. And I'll pop on with Nobs tomorrow morning,

(01:36:40):
bright and early seven am. They've got me on. It'll
be fun. Here you go, Coffee in hand and ready
to go, all right for a hunter bomb guards jeff Orlowski,
the Polish by bomb. My name is Tim Allen. You guys,
have a great rest of your night, and we will
talk to you tomorrow morning and then ultimately on Saturday

(01:37:00):
on Fox Sports nine twenty. And despite the outcome, Smile
Wisconsin Bob Buker is smiling back.
