Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's been at skin show. Thanks for rolling with us today.

(00:02):
We've got some sports ketchup coming up to Kyrie Irving News.
We'll do that at five o'clock. The latest cancelation in
the Epstein Files controversy at about five point fifteen.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
But right now it's time for this, It's.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Time to pop the top, get your hands, and I'd
grab a treat from Christina's cookie jar. Christine Christine.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
So there were actually a lot of announcements yesterday that
I didn't get to because, I mean, a concert at
Arby's is going to take priority, just my opinion.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I'm getting Arby's tonight, by the way.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
But one of those announcements was Breaking Benjamin. They're going
on a thirty date tour in North America. They are
stopping here in Dallas, but they're going on tour Wish Chevelle,
which we've seen before at BFD. Yeah, they're great live.
They're also going on tour with star Set and Cammy Keyhole,
which I need to look her up, but she looks cool.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
She just looks cool. I don't know her music.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
I don't know her.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
They're all going on tour with Breaking Benjamin. They I
didn't even write when they will be here. Anyways, it
doesn't matter because I have tickets to the show when
they'll be here. I believe it's Dicky's Arena in October,
and I have tickets before anyone can buy them tonight
at six fifty. Hey, the tickets don't go and sell
until Friday, so that's badass.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
So you're giving a pair away at six fifty. Yes,
he's the gateholder.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I have been all week long, so do not miss
that agains six to fifty breaking Benjamin tickets.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
What is the difference in the gateholder and the gatekeeper?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I meant to say gatekeeper.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
I like the gateholder. She's the key holder, right, who's
keeping the gate the gate holder?

Speaker 6 (01:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Interesting?

Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yeah, you know sometimes you miss Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Okay, So I've been telling you guys about Foo Fighters.
They've been teasing their new album, right well, Shine Down
has been doing basically the exact same thing. If you
look at their Instagram account, they've deleted everything until like
the past week, and every day then they've been posting
these little clues and then on Monday they posted something
with the caption just two seventeen and so first thing

(02:20):
I did yesterday I was like, let's see, let's see
what Shine Doown's got, And sure enough they announced their
new album.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
It's called eight and they've got the number eight.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
For the g oh yeah, for the beer.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Well it's their.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Eighth album as well. But yeah, maybe they really like
Troy Aikman.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
That's what the old ninety seven's did with Stabach on
their twelfth album.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Yeah, and that was badass. And it's gonna be released
May twenty ninth. So we've been playing a few of
the singles from that album and just we were just
waiting for the final announcement. We didn't even know what
the album was called until yesterday.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Can you do some sort of acoustic thing with them,
like introduce them at an acoustic event.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
So they were at the big like relaunch, the Eagle Relaunch. Yeah,
and yeah, they're really nice guys. My Shinedown No, that's
always this has always struck me. Their lead singer's name
is Brent, and you just don't see a lot of
Brents anymore.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Now.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Brent was a name that was pretty common in the eighties.
I would imagine you don't see many Brents. One of
my best friends growing up was named Brent. It's one
of the hardest names to yell in a neighborhood. Yeah, Brent,
it's hard to yell. It's awkward. There's a Brett, there's
a Brnt. In some cases there's a Brant. I just
it's just should have been something people avoided.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I think brentce.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I think Brent's a good name, But you're right, Ben,
hard to yell. I grew up with a kid named
Brett's and his dad had no trouble yelling that all
the time.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
It's just the end and their force, and it was like,
should I put a D in there? Brent?

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Someone else who announced a new album yesterday?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
The Toadies.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yes, they've been working on this thing for a while.
They worked with Steve Albini, iconic producer.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
I think they were the last band in Many and
Steve Albini actually.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
So yeah, he worked with the Pixies. He passed.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
It's been like two years already, fact in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
He is a legendary do it my way, we're gonna
we're not gonna overproduce this thing. And he is the
most anti corporate human to ever walk the earth. He
was about his ethos and he never wavered from it.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Ever, it made me sad.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
I skimmed through an article about this Tody's album and
they were just talking about how excited they were to
finally get to work with the Steve Albini and then
he passed away.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
But and suddenly too it was the heart thing.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, I look forward to hearing what this album actually
sounds like. It comes out May first and it is
called The Charmer.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
I bet we can get some access to the todies.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
We can definitely get the lead singer's wife because she
does my taxes.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah, okay, I'm going to get that filed away now,
you know what, I think I have time to play
a little audio here. So this was something that was
going around over the week again that I saw on Twitter.
Chad Kroger, lead singer of Nickelback. Someone filmed him at
a casino. He's a little drunk, he's a little ornery,

(05:11):
and this is what happened.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Ja.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Don you think for me one one little time?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
You time just rough stars like bottom moment.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
If you watch the video, he's kind of smirking the
whole time and they're sitting like at the bar with
those slot machines that are at the bar. So I
think that they had been sitting there talking for a while, drinking,
and like, as he's getting ready to leave, she stops
him and films him, and he's like, f off.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Anyway, good news for them, that's good publicity.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
That's some of the best publicity of of them that
they've ever had. I'm with Ben, I was sitter thinking
this could relaunch their whole thing. Man is actually likable.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
No, I'm not singing for you.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
And dude his his dad started the whole Kroger change. Yes,
you don't get it for free.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
All right, there you have. There's cookie jar coming up next.
Let's go around the sports. We got to get back
into the Kevin Durant stuff. This is one of the
wildest stories of the year. We'll have more on that
next
