Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good job everyone. Glad he wasn't harmed, she wasn't.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Harmed, and the bovine goes to better pastures.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Oh yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
All right with with Evan, with our show, you're gonna
ruling it.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
He except with some wee pursuing it. Tunneled out Shaw
shank through the sewer. Kid, Now what chill in that day, Eagle? Yeah,
we're doing it. Three o'clock on the dock. Gotta habit
for my house or go status. Howard starting to get cratic,
shows that enough multiplied like a rabbit.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Tune in, zone out, crank it up, beat the habit.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I'm on hang out with her friends, rocking it on
the radio. My boys talking on the radio.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It's time to to this long KT.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
Christina All up, Ben Skinned, Kat and Christina all hands
on deck today for a hump day version of the
Ben and Skin Show. Lots of good stuff to get into,
including reinvestigating the Michael Jordan controversy. That's at four point thirty.
Christina's got a big tour announcement that's coming up at four.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Don't miss that.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
KT.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Thanks he can save the Metroplex lots of money. We'll
do that around three forty five lots to get into
on today's show, so keep it locked here throughout the day.
But I saw a story that immediately caught my attention
when I was reading the internet today, and it is
something that is here locally in Dallas Fort Worth, and
it made a list that you wouldn't want to make.
(01:44):
Did you guys see a story in the news about
a local lake?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Was there a boat involved?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay, no, okay, good, good, good. So a good follow
up question by Kat Was there a boat involved? Ben?
There was a boat store, a boat caught on five.
There are boats on lakes, so it's a it's a
good point you made. I like to help the story.
You're asking about the story.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
So that's kind of fire. Guys jumped off onto their
friend's boat. Was it a specific type of boat?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Rowboat, motor boat, big giant yacht, standard Yamaha.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
So when I bring up lakes, the first thing I
think of is how or when anybody brings up lakes,
I think about local lakes. I think about how lucky
I am that I narrowly avoided it being another one
of my expensive, impulsive habits.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
I mean I anytime I'm out on a lake. I'm like, God,
I need to buy a boat, right, But everybody says
the two best days of a boat owner's lives the
day you buy a boat the day you sell a boat.
I've been able to somehow restrain from doing it because
it seems incredibly expensive. High maintenance, seems like a beating when.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
You're out there.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
If you have a friend with a boat, that's way better,
but just owning a boat seems really expensive and really taxing.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I think in general it's best for retired people because
they don't have all the other obligations and they can
go boat. I mean, obviously if you live on a
lake that's different. But then when you're retired, you don't
want to spend a lot of time maintaining crap or
exerting yourself, and so that's when it's like like people
I know that are oh, yeah, I got the boat,
(03:18):
and then they're like, ah, it's just so much work.
But like if you get it in your forties or
your thirties and you're all active and stuff, it's like,
who has time to go to the lake every weekend?
Speaker 5 (03:26):
You can't dabble either. You got to go all in, right,
because it doesn't justify the expense. If you just get
out there every once a while, then you're looking at
how much a boat slip costs, and the boat and.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
All that crap. It's like, you do you guys ever
even you go out to the lake. Do you ever
go to the lake?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
It is a kid all the time, not anymore.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I do think, are you a lake person?
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (03:46):
When I can, But yeah, I don't go as much
as he used to. I think that there's an age
cutoff where when you're younger, you're like, hell, yeah, this
is fun. I want to jump in the water, And
then you reach a certain age you're like, I ain't
getting in that water. That's got nothing but flesh eating
bacteria in it. I can't see beyond the surface. People
whizz in the lake, Yeah, but people whizzing pools and
(04:07):
hot tubs too.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, you hop in there with your mouth open.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I think it's he does hop in with his mouth open,
his mouth open, turner, But I do think that it's
it's you get a certain age you're like, that's disgusting.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I want no part of that.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Where when you're carefree and young and you ride in
the back of pickup trucks and whatever.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
It's just right. There's that turning point.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
And I also think there's a turning point when you
have kids, because you want to entertain the kids and
take them on fun adventures, and so it's fun to
take the kids to a lake. It's always very stressful
for me not being a boat person, pretending to be
a boat person, because when we would go to Hoacha
Town or you know, Broken Bow, we would rent a boat.
That's another time that makes you think about buying a
boat because it's so stupid expensive to rent a boat.
(04:46):
But then you realize it's expensive because you don't have
to deal with any of the headaches.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Right. Anyways, that water there at Broken Bow Lake is amazing.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
It's cool, refreshing, you jump in, it's it's clean, you know,
you can kind of see your body in it or whatever.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
You kind of through the water a little bit. And
there's not houses up on the shoreline. You can't do
that there. Anyways, when I talk about going to lakes
and Dallas for worth, I don't really go. I know,
we've had friends who've had a house at Cedar Creek Lake.
We've gone out to Cedar Creek Lake. We've always been
familiar with Lewisville Lake or Lake Lewisville. But I have
(05:20):
a list of the biggest local lakes. Can you can
you name any more of the six biggest local lakes
besides the two I just named Joe Pool?
Speaker 2 (05:28):
It wasn't in this list though.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh, Lake ree Hubbard, Yeah for sure.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
It didn't come up on this lake?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Really, yeah it didn't.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Can't be too small.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Does the Lake ray Hubbard turn into Lake Levon? Are
they completely separate? It wasn't on this list of the
top six. Okay, so we'll start with Lake Lewisville that
is on there side.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I gave that one away. I would like n Cedar Creek.
I gave you that one. Does Possum Kingdom like count
as DFW.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
It didn't show up on this list. Now, this list
could be wrong, but it didn't show up. Isn't that
more of a river to kt Posum Kingdom?
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, I'm sure there's a river that runs to do it.
But yeah, he's right, pasan Kium is huge. I'm out
of lakes.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
It could be there's Ray Roberts, Richard Richland Chambers, and Tiewaukeney.
What I've heard of those I did not panther lake. Yeah,
that was all six. But the other one is the
reason this came up is because when I bring up
Lake Texomo, what do you think.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Of went there a million times as a kid?
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, I think it was the thriving community of Pottsboro.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
So Lake Texoma was named the third dirtiest lake in
the United States.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
And no wonder I am the way I am. I
mean it is, dude, I swim with those waters once
a month growing up. I was a Lake Texas. Okay,
is that near?
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Only not too not too close, honestly. Huh.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
But I was gonna go to spot Yeah, because we
had a ceado and yeah, so I mean junior high
years type to think my brother playing little league baseball
tournaments and I tag along. Uh huh yeah, oh la
take some all the time. I mean I think orange
water like dirty water?
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Right?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Is that why you definitely couldn't see anything in there? Yeah,
it's not all making sense. Actually, I don't have a
good feel for how they work too.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
I think, like, uh, doesn't sewage go into the lakes?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
I mean when people whiz and poopy?
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I mean no, I think it like I thought it
was like that it's a part of the filtration system,
is it not? I thought I thought I thought sewage
went about the whole research that during the partial that's
Oklahoma Turd's going in that water partially.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Raw and treated. Sewage does inner lakes.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah, and remember Troy Coman had that song called Oklahoma Turdslaholmo.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
All right, there you have it. There's a little lake
talk for that ass.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Coming up.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Next, Skin, We're you gonna take us in Things Skin
Is Tracking Marijuana and Steven A.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Smith next.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
All right, Ben and Skin Show ninety some point one
the Eagle. We're giving away Bush tickets all day. I'm sorry,
every day all week, I should say, but today we're
gonna be giving it away in the next two and
a half hours.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
You gotta be listening.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
You have to have your free iHeart app and the
talkback feature for your chance to win. We give clues
and then you can cash in. Bush coming to Toyota
Music Factory in April. Tracy Morgan owns one of the
deadliest creatures on Earth. We'll explain in fifteen minutes, but
right now it's time for this boo.
Speaker 7 (08:22):
Track, another edition of Things Skin Is Tracking.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Do you guys have a good handle on what is
and isn't legal with THC. No, and in this state,
do you like you have any goot grasp of this.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
No.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
I went in to get some sleep gummies, and I
was terrified that I was gonna get arrested, like I'm
gonna ask for the wrong thing, or I'm gonna get
booted out of here, like asking for a bong at
like a headshot.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Right, do you know, Katie, No, very confused by all
of it. I'm confused by all of it.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
And there's some people that will be using THC products
and they know what del to nine and all these
things are. I don't know. Like when I was growing up,
you just had WEDE. So I don't understand the products.
I don't understand what is or isn't legal. I don't
pay a lot of attention to it because it doesn't
directly impact me.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I see people get worked up. I see stories.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Where here's a shop on Lower Greenville that now because
of governor or Attorney General Dan Patrick or whatever, is
going to lose their business. I don't know if that's happened.
I don't know if those places are still in business.
I see THC and fused drinks. I don't know if
they're legal. I don't know any of this stuff. But
I saw a story today that there's some Plano place
(09:37):
that has medical grade marijuana, Okay, and so I'm like,
all right, I thought they were getting rid of this.
I don't do we now have? Is it legal in Texas?
Can a doctor write a prescription?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Like? It's interesting to me that none of the four of.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Us really know any of the ins and outs of this,
but it's a prominent issue. People are talking about it
all the time.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
If I if I smoked a lot of weed, I'm sure
I would be right on the front lines of the story.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
I would know what was legal in the world. Yeah,
I just don't. It's not a part of my life anymore. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, we're all like active cannabis users about the medical thing.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
You used to be.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
You had to go to Oklahoma for that, right, I think,
and they'd give you you had to have a card
that your doctor had given you or something.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Right.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
But Oga we sawd like Stoner's talking about this right now.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
I think, man, the real Stoners are listening to us, going,
you dumbasses, you don't know anything. This is one thing
I know here you can get Delta nine, but over
there you can't. And it's like, man, I'm just so
upset about all of it.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
You know. It's a little bit like all the soccer
leagues to me, Delta nine and there's K two and
there's THHC plus.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Yeah, and then your weed can be relegated to a
lower league that.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
You can bundle them all into one subscription.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Well, let me just say that I am for marijuana
being legalized. I think it's absurdly hypocritical that alcohol is
legal and marijuana is and I know personally a lot
of veterans that would really greatly benefit from this, like
they've told me, so whatever. That's that. I just these
(11:12):
stories come up and I have no handle on it,
and I'm interested in it all right. Another thing is
I don't follow him, not that I dislike him, but
it's just I had my fill of him, and so
I just kind of tune it out.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
And that's Stephen A. Smithy.
Speaker 8 (11:27):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
I know that he got involved in the political realm
and doing political talk, and he's on and he started
appearing on Fox News quite a bit, and I think
he's on one of those lesser networks it's like Patriot
News or whatever doing a show, and I realized that
there was some chatter about this. But I saw this
(11:47):
email in my jump folder and I'm just going to
read it to you because I don't, well, let me
ask her. You guys following Steven A. Smith, you know
the latest on him.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
I saw that he's running for president and that he
was just did some interview, was talking about I saw
the clips saying how different everything's going to be with
him as president if he wins.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Okay, So Matty to make moves, okay. So I was
curious about that part of it. I knew there had
been talks before, but I didn't know how serious it
had gotten, or if he'd actually thrown his name in
the ring. And so, you know, you guys probably get
a lot of emails where it's here's the Vegas odds.
I usually just delete them. Steven A. Smith's aspirations have
transcended the sports desk. The veteran ESPN host is no
(12:28):
longer confining his commentary to the world of athletics blah
blah blah. He has hinted in recent interviews that he
is seriously weighing a presidential bid. Shifting public perception from
curiosity to genuine contemplation. Though no official campaign has been launched,
his remarks have ignited a political buzz and forced observers
(12:49):
to take this seriously. So then they start giving you
the odds on whether or not he's going to run
for president. So I didn't know if it was official
or not. But like I'll give you an example. I
think a lot of people assume that Gavin Newsom is
going to run for president, but he hasn't officially announced it,
but he will.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
He'll be one of the finalists. Just so you have
to assume there may not even be an election. It's
like Steven A. Smith is considering running for president. It
feels like the president's considering not having any more elections,
which so I don't know what.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't know what's happening.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Eventually, just Stephen Miller will be our emperor overlord and
we'll be looking at that guy going, man, how did
that guy?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
The four realistic if it happens is Newsome, yeah, AOC,
Steven A. Smith and then Texas his own James tallerco
if he wins this election, and that's a big deal.
With the Colbert thing, that we're talking about a little
bit earlier, like that's those are your four most likely
candidates to be running and maybe you can throw in
the rock if you know.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Steven A.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Smith goes in there. Seriously, No, I get it, like Kanye, like,
there's a lot of options.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Let me just go on record with this strong political opinion.
AOC is but she doesn't stand a chance. But she
is hot?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Yes, dude, what can I I can't say that.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
You're saying she's a hot candidate meaning she has a
big because a lot of people behind her.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
She's like a lot of people are wishing the bust
for her, but she has no shot. But lovely woman. Yeah,
all right, there you have it. There's some marijuana and
politics coming out next. We're gonna take us in the
entertainment headlines.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Oh a story, Taylor, just forbid Tracy Morgan owns the
Dangerous Creature on Earth?
Speaker 1 (14:26):
What is it? Next?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
On ninety seven one the Eagle.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Well, I love the way KT phrased that, what is
the dangerous Creature on Earth?
Speaker 5 (14:33):
And don't you want to know Tracy Morgan? I bet
you want to know who that is? We got the
cubby Hole coming up. KT's shopping tip that could save
DFW lots of money. Christinea's got a Kokijar coming up
after that, some big tour announcements that we need to
know about. But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
It is ent.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
And so there's a new show on NBC called The
Fall and Rise of Reggie and it stars Tracy Morgan
and Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe. Oh, I haven't seen it.
New show or old show. New show, Okay, just a
classic NBC sitcom. But doing some media to talk about this,
(15:14):
they were asked, you know what's you know the most
I think is the most irresponsible purchase you've ever made.
I bought you bore and I thought of being when
Tracy Morgan said, I have a twenty thousand gallon shark
tank in my backyard.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
I like to hoard things that could possibly kill me.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
I have three blank Okay, I'm gonna leave that open
for us. One is out in the shark tank and
two are inside the house that are in my daughter's room.
It's the deadliest thing on the planet. There's no cure.
It could kill a blue well. And I have three
of them in his daughter's room, yeah, and one in
his shark tank that he bought that is in his backyard.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Do you guys have a good feel for how big
a twenty thousand gallon shark tank is?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Oh no, I can't.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
How big was yours been? I can't remember, and I
don't even remember what size.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
My pool is.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
I think this is just like him saying crazy stuff
and none of a trial, because I think we would
be like twenty thousand gallons is the set of the Titanic?
Speaker 2 (16:11):
What is the average pool size? I will tell you that.
Remember of the story of Troy Aikman having an aquarium
in his bedroom and Jimmy Johnson would pull up at
a lawn chair and drink beer and they'd stare at
the fish together. Yeah, that one, according to Things Online,
was about a seventy five gallon tank. Yeah, and Aikman's bedroom,
(16:32):
So this is huge. A swimming pool.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
The average swimming pool is between fifteen and twenty thousand gallons,
So he's talking about an above average sized swimming pool.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
I got a swimming pool up back.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
You with sharks, Yeah, I was.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
When you start talking about the most deadliest or the
deadliest creatures, that could be the creatures that kill the
most people.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Per year, or it could be just in a.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
One on one setting, which one would be the deadliest,
Like you know what I'm saying, like, yeah, and I
know great white sharks aren't kept in captivity, so it's
not a great white shark. And I was thinking of
the other things that are the deadliest. Mosquitoes are the
absolute deadliest. It's probably not mosquitoes.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
It's got mosquios in his pool. Humans are the second
deadliest creatures on Earth. It's probably probably don't own a human.
Snakes would be the third deadliest. Yeah, snakes have a
lot of victims. Dogs are the fourth deadliest, but it
probably probably don't have a water pit. Yeah, you see
like a dog, like a bull doggie paddling in there
with the shark.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
You know, it's probably not a crocodile or a hippo.
They're they're deadly.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
So you know, I'm sitting there thinking, Okay, it's either
it could be a snail, but I think a snails
to one snail in a twenty thousand dollars tank is
pretty stupid. Could it could be like a puffer fish,
you know, like a one of those real poisonous tiny
little fish that you know you see him in movies.
You're somebody has an aquarium and it gets out and it.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Could kill you.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I bet it's something that looks like a mushroom. It's
like some weird mollusk or something.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Then nailed it. It's the cone snail.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Oh, it's a snail. Nail, the cone snail. The cone
and snails got like orange hair and.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
A funny dance.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Hey, I have an update on this. What last night?
Speaker 1 (18:11):
And I know I knew nothing about this, So you
guys are already aware of them, that snails and slugs
are dangerous.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yes, I had no idea.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
I didn't either, actually, And so last night we were
in the kitchen and my daughter comes in and goes,
we got to go outside and kill this slug because
it's going to kill the dogs.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
And I was like, what are you talking about? I
had no idea.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
There is a slug or a giant snail, know what
the difference is? And it's pretty gross looking. And it
was about this base, probably about four inches long, and
it was fat and gigantic, and we went out there
and we poured salt on it, and then all this
orangeth started. It started coming out, and then I scooped
it up and put it in a trash sack, put
(18:51):
it a second trash sack, and threw it away. I
had no idea that those things were that dangerous, that
sounded so sexual. Yeah, yeah, I know they're there. I didn't,
you know, I hadn't thought of a dog trying to
eat them. But I know that snails, I think they
kill like twenty thousand people a year.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
What we If they've got venom in there, then it
doesn't take much. And that's the thing think about all
the scientific testing. It's taken over the years, a lot
of trial by death to get to a point that's
where we know which animals are venomous and which animals aren't. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
Yeah, And I think it's also like like frogs may
kill a certain number of people per year, it doesn't
mean every frog is gonna kill you. And I don't
think every snail is poisonous, but there must be some
like wildly toxic poisonous snails.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
I wish I had taken a before picture of this.
I definitely have the after picture of this when it
all like curled up. But I mean it it was
a pretty gigantic looking thing, man, I mean, but then
it just like curled up and started spitting gross stuff everywhere.
This thing kind of looks like, honestly, it looks like
a bad turd.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
If we find out that Tracey Morgan has uh, you know,
unceremoniously passed away, we will know that it was either
a cone snail or a truck. Why keep deadly snails
in his daughter's room?
Speaker 7 (20:10):
Was that? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I don't know, that's just he's just saying crazy stuff.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
All right, there you have it. There's entertainment headlines coming
up next.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
In the cubby Hold, Kat says he's got a shopping
tip that could save the FW lots of money.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
That's coming up next be.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
In Skin Show ninety one point one, The Eagle Christina.
What's coming up in the cookie Jar here in fifteen minutes.
Speaker 9 (20:28):
If we had a big tour announcement and I'm going
to tell everyone how they can win tickets before anyone.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Can buy them.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I'm excited about that.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
You can win tickets to see Bush here in the
next two hours just by listening, have the free iHeart app,
and be ready to cook once we give you the signal.
They're coming to town in April. All right, now, it's
time for this coffee.
Speaker 10 (20:49):
The coffee, dear my news control you never what scene, Kobe,
you don't know?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
So I for where we do our show off the
tollway in Addison. There's a lot of shopping developments around here,
and right across the tollway is a was a Dick's
Sporting Goods, all right, and this is it. And then
they moved over to the other parking lot across the
(21:33):
street from it. They moved it and built a new one. Meanwhile,
where the old Dick Sporting Goods is, there's a big
sign that says going, going gone. And for months I've
just been been like, man, when are they going to
do something with this building? I thought they were just
saying it's gone, going, going gone. It's gone. It's over
here now. And the going going gone sign is kind
(21:53):
of up on the old Dick Sporting Goods to where
you could see, not very far away across the street
is where the new Dick's Sporting Goods is.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
So it was very confusing.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
And then I was tipped off that Dick's going going
gone is really they're just trying to get rid of
all the old crap they have. Yeh, did you know
this well, this common knowledge to anyone. I know this, well,
go ahead.
Speaker 9 (22:18):
Well, I went shopping for some Christmas gifts for the boyfriend, right,
and I saw that and discovered, oh my god, I
can buy everything here for half the price.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
It's incredible. So in general, anytime a place is doing
any kind of shut down or move, you can buy
all that crap crazy cheap. Now, I don't know about
the New Dick's location. I'm assuming it's what like half
the size or No. The New Dick's location is way bigger,
is that right? Yes, it's experiential. Yeah, there's a mountain
climbing wall. Oh okay, it's trying to go down a
(22:50):
Bass Pro shop model. Yeah, ye, shields and all that,
so it's bigger.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Okay, keep in mind it is like one hundred paces
across the street right there, So it's very confusing to me.
But then I learned that, oh no, they're trying to
get rid of stuff.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
So I'm like, okay.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
I had a little time on Monday, went in there.
I thought you guys would be proud of me, honestly,
cause you guys are sneaker heads. I'm really not. But
I was like, god, dang, there's a lot of shoes
and they've got it all organized.
Speaker 8 (23:16):
Me.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I have pretty common shoe size, above average size twelve
and right, so it's all organized very well and you
just go through it and you look at I'm like,
these prices can't be real, because shoes are expensive now too,
like everything else in the world. I got me a
pair of Jordan's. And this is before I had seen
(23:36):
the video that we'll discuss later. I got a new
pair of Jordan's. This is not something I would normally do,
is go make a purchase on Jordan's. It's just never
been a part of my life. Got me a pair
of Jordans for like sixty percent off. Feeling pretty good
about that. Saw a bunch that I was like, man,
been and Skin need to know about this. They need
to go over there and start browsing the shoes. It
(23:58):
feels like a prank. Now. The other thing, there's tons
of other stuff, and I didn't do a lot of browsing,
but I could have found, like, if you wanted to
go get some Mavericks shirts or Cowboys or whatever, you
could do do all that. But I was thinking about
where I Yeah, I have like three pairs of pants,
four pairs of pants, maybe three or four pairs of shorts.
They're all Travis Matthew. It's all based on gift cards
(24:19):
that have been given to me as Christmas presents over
the years. It's what I like to wear. It's very comfortable.
I'm never going back to jeans. And I'm like, Okay,
surely they don't have any Travis Matthews because Travis Matthew
has gotten too popular over the years, and they don't
have a thing under one hundred dollars, which is just
not how I would shop. But I start going over
(24:40):
there and I'm browsing through looking for some shorts. Gotta
find one your size. It's not a color I would
normally buy, But I found a pair of Travis Matthew shorts.
Comfortable as hell. You can feel the texture, like this
is right, this is this is this is not some
fake knockoff. It's not spelled different for twenty fi five bucks,
(25:00):
oh that are normally one hundred. And I'm just telling
you you may not find anything you like. Yeah, everyone
Dick's going going gone. What is the color? Because you
said it was a color you wouldn't It was like
a like a burn orange, like oh, but I think
I can make it work with the black my black
T shirt collection.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yeah, just because you bought the shorts for twenty five
dollars doesn't mean it's a good deal. If you'll never
because you're never going to wear burn orange shirts shorts.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Dude, I think I will. I think I will. Yeah,
I think I will now wear us add him to
my collection of shorts, I warned tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
I mean it's it's like this, You're getting a starter
that at such a discount, you got to add them
to your team.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
You just you're a rotation, but you.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Don't you don't know if they're going to be a
long reliever, ever, a closer, rarely going to be used,
but you got to add them to the squad.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
I think you just gave up a fourth round pick
for Trey Lance. No, dude, this is Rico Dubdle for
a million dollars.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
I'll do that. Okay, this is wonderful, and there's so
much more crap in there. I'm going back.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
And I also just found out, okay, there's some more
of these in the Metroplex. So Dix is like, I
don't know, maybe they're just trying to get bigger. Stores,
but like the going Going Gone store, which sounds so stupid,
is gonna save your wall at a ton of money.
There's one up in Plano too, so I'm gonna go
hit that one.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
So are they consolidating old dicks into this one giant
location it's like outlet dicks.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Or are there gonna be a bunch of giant dicks?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (26:24):
I think they That feels like that, that could work. Yeah,
I think the idea is they're going for a well,
at least a couple of huge dicks, because the one
in Plano was up at the Planet Legacy Hall area
up there. I'm just gonna go see if they have some.
That's a stretch.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
So you could go basically to the dick outlet and
just load up, is what you're saying. I could. And
there's still value with a with a tiny dicks.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Where are those? Well, then that's the question. These are
some of the other ones, and those those are gonna
be looking to get enhanced over the years.
Speaker 9 (26:55):
Okay, I thought you were saying there's better value in
the tiny dicks.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
No, there's better you at the tiny dis But I
think Dix is a company is trying to expand, right.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Okay, Well said with the tiny dick, it just depends
on how quickly they restock and reload.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
And it's understandable with it being, you know, kind of
cold weather season for the smaller ones.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
No doubt part of it.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Did anybody explain why they built a brand new Portillo's
that will never open?
Speaker 7 (27:19):
It?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Just what is happenings?
Speaker 2 (27:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
All right, there you have it, there's the cubby hole.
We've got to get back into this Kevin Durant story.
We'll do that at about four fifteen. After that, we'll
check the tape reinvestigating the Michael Jordan controversy as it
unfolded on our very show. But coming up next, we're
you going to take us in the cookie jar, Christina Well.
Speaker 9 (27:40):
We had a big four announcement. I'm going to tell
everyone how they can win free tickets before anyone else
can buy them.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Next, Tony been at skin show. Thanks for rolling with
us today. We've got some sports ketchup coming up the
Kyrie Irving News. We'll do that at five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
The latest cancelation in the Epstein Files controversy at about
five fifteen.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 7 (28:00):
It's time to pop. The top is your hands, and
I grab a tree from Christina's cookie jar.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Christine Christine has.
Speaker 9 (28:27):
But there were actually a lot of announcements yesterday that
I didn't get to because I mean, a concert at
Arby's is going to take priority, just my opinion.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
I'm getting Arby's tonight, by the way.
Speaker 9 (28:37):
But one of those announcements was Breaking Benjamin. They're going
on a thirty date tour in North America. They are
stopping here in Dallas, but they're going on tour with Chevelle,
which we've seen before at BFDAH.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
They're great live.
Speaker 9 (28:53):
They're also going on tour with star Set and Cammy Keho,
which I need to look her up, but she looks cool.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
She just looked cool. I don't know her music. I
don't know her.
Speaker 9 (29:01):
They're all going on tour with Breaking Benjamin. They I
didn't even write when they will be here. Anyways, it
doesn't matter because I have tickets to the show. When
they'll be here, I believe it's Dicky's Arena in October,
and I have tickets before anyone can buy them tonight
at six fifty. Hey, the tickets don't go and sale
until Friday.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
So that's badass. So you're giving a pair away at
six fifty. Yes, this is the gateholder I.
Speaker 9 (29:25):
Have been all week long, so do not miss that
against six to fifty breaking Benjamin Tickets.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
What is the difference in the gateholder and the gatekeeper?
I meant to say gatekeeper. I like the gateholder. She's
the key holder, right, who's keeping the gate the gate holder?
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Interesting? Yeah, you know sometimes you miss Yeah.
Speaker 9 (29:44):
Okay, so I've been telling you guys about Foo Fighters.
They've been teasing their new album, right well, shine Down
has been doing basically the exact same thing. If you
look at their Instagram account, they've deleted everything until like
the past week, and every day then they've been posting
these little clues and then on Monday they posted something
with the caption just two seventeen and so first thing
(30:06):
I did yesterday I was like, let's see, let's see
what Shinedown's got, And sure enough they announced their new album.
It's called eight, and they've got the number eight for.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
The g oh yeah, for the beer.
Speaker 9 (30:16):
Well it's their eighth album as well. But yeah, maybe
they really like Troy Aikman.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
That's what the old ninety sevens did with Stabach on
their twelfth album, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (30:25):
And that was badass and it's going to be released
May twenty ninth. So we've been playing a few of
the singles from that album and just we were just
waiting for the final announcement. We didn't even know what
the album was called until yesterday.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Can you do some sort of acoustic thing with them,
like introduce them at an acoustic event?
Speaker 9 (30:42):
So they were at the big like relaunch, the Eagle
relaunch events and yeah, they're really nice guys.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
My shindown note that's always This has always struck me.
Their lead singer's name is Brent, and you just don't
see a lot of Brents anymore now. Brent was a
name that was pretty common in the eighties. I would
imagine you haven't see many Brents. One of my best
friends growing up was named Brent. It's one of the
hardest names to yell in a neighborhood. Yeah, brind maybe
(31:09):
it's hard to yell.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
It's awkward. There's a Brett, there's a Brint. In some cases,
there's a brand. I just it's just should have been
something people avoided.
Speaker 9 (31:19):
I think brentce I think Brent's a good name, but
you're right, Ben hard to yell. Yeah, I grew up
with a kid named Brett's and his dad had no
trouble yelling that all the time.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
It's just the end and their force print. And there's
like check put a d in there, Brent.
Speaker 9 (31:34):
And someone else who announced a new album yesterday, The Toadies. Yes,
so they've been working on this thing for a while.
They worked with Steve Albini, Yes, iconic producer.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
I think they were the last band in Man and
Steve Albini actually so yeah, he worked with the Pixies.
Speaker 9 (31:52):
He passed it's been like two years already, fact in
twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
He is a legendary do it my way, we're gonna
we're not gonna overproduce this thing. And he is the
most anti corporate human to ever walk the earth. He
was about his ethos and he never wavered from it ever.
It made me sad.
Speaker 9 (32:13):
I skimmed through an article about this Tody's album and
they were just talking about how excited they were to
finally get to work with the Steve Albini and then
he passed away.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
But and suddenly too it was a heart thing.
Speaker 9 (32:24):
Yeah, I look forward to hearing what this album actually
sounds like. It comes out May first and it is
called The Charmer.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
I bet we can get some access to the Toadies.
We can definitely get the lead singer's wife because she
does my taxes.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, okay, I'm gonna get that filed away now, you
know what, I think I have time to play a
little audio here.
Speaker 9 (32:43):
So this was something that was going around over the
weekend that I saw on Twitter. Chad Kroger, lead singer
of Nickelback. Yeah, someone filmed him at a casino. He's
a little drunk, he's a little ornery, and this is
what happened.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Jay, do you think for me?
Speaker 2 (33:02):
One one little time? Just rough stars.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Like the bottom moment.
Speaker 9 (33:24):
If you watch the video, he's kind of smirking the
whole time, and they're sitting like at the bar with
those slot machines that are at the bar. So I
think that they had been sitting there talking for a while,
drinking and like as he's getting ready to leave, she
stops him and films him and he's like f off.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Anyways, good news for them, that's good publicity. That's some
of the best publicity for them that they've ever had
with Ben. I was sitter thinking this could relaunch their
whole tame man at no, I'm not singing, and dude
his dad started the whole Kroger change yes, saying you
don't get it for free.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
All right, there you have. There's cookie jar coming up next.
Let's go around the sports. We got to get back
into the Kevin Durant stuff. This is one of the
wildest stories of the year. We'll have more on that
next and in Skin Show ninety seven point one the Eagle.
This segment right here is brought to you by Franklin Frankel.
Those are personal friends of ours.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
They are advocates for injury victims, and they have been
for three decades plus.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
These are the guys. They take good care of you.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
They got an incredible reputation because they've always done it
the right way. They're gonna take a personal interest in
your case to make sure you get the medical attention
you need, you get the settlement you deserve. They fight
for you. See for yourself. Two one four in all threes,
it's our friends Frankel and Frankel. All right, coming up
here in fifteen minutes, we need to check the tape
from yesterday's show, there was a controversial Michael Jordan video
(34:45):
and one of us may have been way out of
bounds on it. That's coming up next, but right now
it's time for this.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Now, let's go around the sports.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
KT quins as all the sports.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
This is from one of the first days at Ranger
spring training. Here's Corey Seeger asked about his relationship with
the recently traded Marcus Simeon, and.
Speaker 8 (35:08):
I think that's things that are in house people don't
know about, right, that's just all speculation. Me and Marcos
had a fine relationship.
Speaker 7 (35:16):
You know, we.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Both respect each other.
Speaker 8 (35:19):
We were both professional, and we knew how to go
about our business and try and accomplish a cool and
we did that in twenty three. So, like I said,
you know, you can't take that away from us.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Okay, every answer he said about it was you can't
take twenty three away from us, which is true, you can't.
But it sounds like those guys got tired of each
other at some point.
Speaker 5 (35:38):
Yes, and again I don't know like all the CD
details of this guy, like Jared Sandler can probably tell
you every single thing going on with it, but it
just seemed like that was a personality struggle.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Yeah. One thing that hit the media was basically there
was a lot of a little consternation, And I don't
know how accurate this is or not, but that Semi
had kind of made a comment about Corey Seger missing
some games, and Corey Seger gets Marcus Simmons famously iron
man plays every single game and Correy Seeker missed his
(36:10):
games over year. Cory Singer missed forty games a year
because of injury. He still will be a top ten
hitter in baseball.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
He's that awesome. Cory Steger should have been like, why
don't you just set up the first couple of months, Marcus,
since you don't hit, Yeah, you don't hit the first
time you show up in July. Why don't you We're
kind of even. Do you think Simon will respond to this?
H I don't. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
It's hard to tell. Probably not.
Speaker 5 (36:31):
I asked somebody who would be in the know about
this when the trade happened, and he thought that the
Rangers probably think that Simon's declining at this point, like
beyond like he's lost.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
His bat speed and he's not going to get it back.
There are people out there that think he will bounce back,
and maybe he does because he's inspired by this, but
it could just be that he's toast at this point
and it.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Just can't you know, it's all caught up to him.
It's hard to mess with, like analytics on bat speed
and stuff. When you get older, you just don't have
it anymore. At some point. He's still good at defense
and things like that.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
I had the same persons, like he is still a
great defender and a great teammate, although you'll probably start
hearing stories about him not being a great teammate.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
He's like, don't believe that stuff. Oh wow.
Speaker 5 (37:14):
So but also last year, the Rangers park just played
like a pitcher's park, right yeah, Like the offense was terrible.
So it wouldn't be hard for Simeon to bounce back
from last year and be better this year because he
was so bad last year, right yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:29):
And you know what all the knock is on Corey Seeger.
And this is always like has to do with each
different team and how they approach things. I mean, I've
heard some of these stories in the NBA too. Seeger
is one of those guys that wants his wife to
be involved with the team, and you know, generally in
sports it's like it's a guy's club and the other
guys on the team don't want the wives around. This
(37:50):
was a problem with the Spurs. I had this issue
like fifteen years ago. You know, it's like, are traveling
with the team, not traveling like on the plane, but
like there and in the mix, and a lot of
players like, well, this is our world. No, you know,
so that that that's not an uncommon thing for teams
to deal with those sorts of things when writ when
(38:11):
high profile players have a different view of the world
and lifestyle than their teammates. It's like spinal tap when
you know leads Heer's girlfriends started hanging out all the time,
very hard for the rest of the band.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Those are like how did your concessions that you make
in your contract too, Like you don't get Corey seeger
if you don't give him everything he wants. So I
had no problem with anything. He wants to have his
own trainer, medical staff, wants to not take batting practice
in front of fans. I do not care.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Yeah, you let him go do his thing. Yes, he's hard,
it's worth it.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Yeah, And we got that ring that was good. We
did get that ring. I wasn't ending the segment, No,
it was just class. So, like you know, obviously there's
the Epstein files. There's a lot going on there. But
have you guys went over to kdfiles dot com.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
I saw this yesterday because it started with the Epstein file.
Somebody had gone out and multiple people have gone out
and figured out a way to create a website that
connects all the dots and amazing technology with this believerabol
and so somebody applied that same type of technology to
the Kevin Durant file.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Yeah, you can just search any name of someone like
Kevin Durant might have sets again, and they're very clear
at the top, verified for editorial purposes only. This is
just digital evidence. We can't confirm that it was or
was not him. But if I just typed in, oh, Luca,
just to see from a versus file number eleven on
(39:36):
the kd files website.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
So there's a good search function, is what you're telling. Oh, yes,
it's very good.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Nah that blank Kai Kyrie really on his best behavior
around the European but treat his own people like we
owe him something. Oh that is from Kevin Durant allegedly
November twenty twenty four. So there's a lot you can
type in. How about this one? Did he say this
about Bill's quarterback, Josh Allen. Bill's got to think about
(40:03):
moving Josh Allen to tight end and getting a real
quarterback in there. Twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
God, he'd be such a good tight end.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
You can go through all the files talking about you
name it, Drake, Kendrick, Lamar Epstein.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Type in Epstein.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
Political commentators on Instagram talking about Chris Paul, Aaron Rodgers,
Troy Aikman. I mean, you know all this, it's just great.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Can you type in Epstein right quick?
Speaker 2 (40:27):
On?
Speaker 1 (40:28):
See he didn't have anything on Epstein yet.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
We'll see there's only thirty four files on there, which
tell us it's a Katie bernercount thing has been.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Maybe it was an easier one to build than like
the seven million files of the Epstein files.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
All right, there you have it.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
There's around the Sports coming up next, and check the tape.
Let's reinvestigate the Michael Jordan controversy as it unfolded on
our own show yesterday.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
That's next.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Hyry Irving's name just came up a little to come
back up on our shows. There is news surrounding Kyrie Irving.
We'll talk about that coming up at five o'clock. In
ten minutes. It's the Today Game, the only segment of
today's show that won't be podcasted. You must listen live.
But right now it's time for this checks.
Speaker 7 (41:13):
What he's doing.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
A Yeah, we have some tape to check because we
have to follow up on a story from yesterday we
told you about again named Tyler Reddick, who won the
Daytona five hundred on Sunday, and good for him. He's
thirty year old man, but his uh, he races for
(41:40):
Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan owns his team. And there was
a video that had gone you know, viral on TMZ
and stuff like that. They're all in the Winter Circle
and Tyler Redick's son is up there by the trophy.
But he's you know, he's obviously not very tall like
adults because he's a kid. He's like a eight or something.
And then and Michael Jordan starts kind of touched him
(42:03):
on the butt a little bit.
Speaker 5 (42:03):
Well, kind of playing to butt bongos, like well, actually
he's I'm conflating the two things. He had that old
footage of him in slow motion playing butt bongos with
a little kid at one of his camps.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
This was a pinching. It was pinch, pinch, pinch, pinch, pinch,
and then.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
He rubs on his leg.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
It's like he was trying to get the kid's attention. Yeah,
the kid didn't turn around.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Like the first time I watched it. I definitely went
that's odd. But I would like to think that I
would have handled it a little bit better and measure
it's nothing, but you know, it's nothing.
Speaker 5 (42:32):
But the world we're in right now, with the lens
that we're looking through, with all the allegations that are
out there, it's pretty terrifying.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
So just the timing of it all is bad. So
we'll get to what Tyler Reddick said about all this
in a minute, but first we need to go back
to yesterday because Skin had not seen the video yet,
So this is audio of us discussing all of this
before Skin sees the video. I bet that you can
(43:02):
get fifty people in an army's right.
Speaker 9 (43:04):
Yeah, there's never really anyone inside them when I don't
Oh no, I just hope through the.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
Drive through too, yeh.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Can we just bring up the Michael Jordan thing real quick.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
Sure, So after the race, there's a little kid and
I'm sure he's a friend of the somebody who's on
the team or whatever, and Jordan's just kind of, hey,
can you believe we want? And he's playing Bungos on
the kid's butt. He's just like pop, he's weird. And
there's this whole video that serves up a commercial or
he's doing that to a kid, you know, just just
being just you know, a guy having fun or whatever.
(43:35):
But like in this climate, like people are freaking out
over it, and I'm.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
Like, I don't I don't even know what to make
of all this.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Here's what I think without I don't know this story.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
But I don't think Michael Jordan is aware of anything
that's happening in the world right.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I don't think he ever logs onto anything.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
I think he plays golf, he gambles with his frenzy,
smokes cigars, and he counts his money. And I don't
think he's on Twitter. And he grew up in an
are the same one me and Ben grew up. I
can't tell you how many times I saw or even
personally to me how to coach slap my asss I
walked by him.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Yeah, that happened. Now that's aggressive.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
I'm looking at it, and that is assault. But it's weird,
is very weird.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
I never had a coach do that. Yeah, immediately a
little mini ran ofm like, hey man, back in our day.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
You know, he didn't do it. He didn't care.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
He golfs, he gambles. Coaches hit me on the bell up. Jesus,
that is bad. It's like ten pinches in a row.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
It is. It's so weird. It's weird. It's just it's
just a little awkward.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Yeah. But I couldn't think anything of it.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
If it was he was doing it to me or yeah,
my kids, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
I wouldn't worry about it. But it is awkward.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
And and also we don't know the relationship. They may
be very close, Like I could see an uncle doing
that to a nephew, you like, messing with a nephew
or whatever. But I have no idea what Michael Jordan
and this little boy. I don't know what they were go.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
You know, we can have our thoughts on it from
you know, however, many miles away. Yeah, let's go directly
to the source. Because Tyler Reddick, thirty year old NASCAR driver,
just one of the dayten of five hundred. It's like,
hey man, let's time to do some interviews. I'll call
it my friend steven A.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Smith.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Okay, so steven A. Smith is very into Nascar apparently,
and here we go.
Speaker 5 (45:19):
Is there anything that you'd like to say about the
media backlash involved with Michael Jordan's celebrating with your family.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
Yeah, I mean, from my perspective, I've gotten to know
Michael and his family very well. I don't see what
other people see when it comes to this. You know,
for me, it's the biggest moment of my career. It's
a huge moment for my family and for his family.
And I just put that off to the side and
(45:45):
just think about the look on Avett's face and the
whole family and his whole group.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Yeah, that's where I'm at with it.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
That's where he's at with That's a tough spot to
put him in.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
That's his boss, and yeah, Evett is his Is Michael
Jordan's wife, right, the second wife orfe or whatever. I'm
not real sure I could have sworn it event but
it's like, what, you know, what did you think about
your boss doing that?
Speaker 2 (46:09):
It's like, remember that time that rich guy assaulted your kid.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
I mean, I'm not saying it would have changed the
way he felt about it, but that's it what you
expect him to say.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Yeah, you can't say, well, yeah, he was definitely diddling
my kid. Like he can't say that.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
That's just terrible thing. Now that I know that Steven
a is pandering the NASCAR fans, he's definitely running for
president running what's he like that? Nothing is going to
make Okay, I'm going to reach this group in a
very special way and they're going to consider me, right.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
I mean, this all makes sense. This all checks out
with where we are too. He that guy was a
reality TV star in two thousand and five, and he's
the president.
Speaker 1 (46:46):
I can be the president. Like it's all it's what
he's thinking for sure. It's totally changed the dynamic. I mean,
in some ways, Ronald Reagan did because he was an actor.
That's like even the joke and back to the future
of the actor. But he had also been involved in
and you know, California politics for thirty years. Arnold Schwarzenegger
is another really good example. He just can't run for
president because he wasn't born here. But you're right, man,
(47:08):
that whole trajectory has changed the way we look at
politicians their celebrities.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
The Steven A. Smith. Will he keep his show if
he's president?
Speaker 1 (47:17):
All right?
Speaker 5 (47:18):
Coming up next just a matter of minutes, it's the
Today Game, followed by sports Ketchup, some Kyrie Irving news.
All that's coming away in the Beninskin Show. Next right
around five thirty is Texas Barbecue in trouble. Could Texas
Barbecue be going away? Good God, I hope not. That's
coming up at five thirty ish.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Coming up here in about ten minutes, the latest cancelation
from the Epstein Files controversy.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
But right now it's done for this, Reach.
Speaker 7 (47:41):
Down and grab a couple of plump tomatoes. It's time
for sports Ketchup, cutup pond sports sports catchrop catchup pods.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Sure quick clean out the Kevin durant As today after
practice about his burner allegations. Yeah, he did not deny it.
He just said he's not here to get into Twitter
nonsense and that he and his teammates been locked in
all season.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
So you know, so the guy who engages in lots
of Twitter nonsense is not here for Twitter nonsense. Yeah, yeah,
you know, well allegedly, yeah, text he admits that he's
engaged in Twitter nonsense.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
It's tough. Yeah, MAVs went ahead and made it official today.
Kyrie Irving will not be playing this year. He's going
to go ahead and set the rest of the year out,
get ready for next year. Any surprises, I'm not surprised
by it. I mean, I think it's the best thing.
There's no reason to rush him back. You're not going
to make the postseason, and even if he's ready, bringing
(48:46):
him back only makes your team better. And realistically, the
best thing you could do is lose every game. And
if you brought him back and you were sitting him
out a bunch, then maybe the league looks at you
and gets mad and they're like, you're taking So I mean,
it's kind of it just seems like the thing to
do that.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
You know. What Ben just brought up is this whole
other conversation, and it's been dominating NBA headlines for i mean,
really a week and a half. But it was huge
over the All Star weekend because Adam Silver addressed the
media and all this stuff. But I don't know how
they're going to figure all this out, Like how they
you know, addressed tanking. Did you guys see Cuban going
(49:23):
on his social media, you know, ran or whatever you
want to call it. But if they are finding teams
for tanking and Jason Tatum is trying to come back
and all this stuff is going on, it gets very convoluted.
But then at the same time, if the Mavericks are
okay with a player saying I don't feel like playing
(49:47):
because of my age and my health status and all
these different things, I really don't see how anybody could
get involved and say anything.
Speaker 5 (49:56):
Otherwise, right, unless it's they play the whole game and
then the fourth quarter they're out right, it's like, that's suspicious.
Speaker 1 (50:04):
So if you're you know, you guys probably saw what
Hardy was saying in Utah where he's like, well those
guys hit their minute restrictions, it's like okay. And then
meanwhile in San Antonio when Stefan Cassel has a minute restriction,
he doesn't start the game so he can end it.
You know, it's like it's it's a huge problem for
the NBA to deal with all this and One of
(50:26):
the arguments or debates about tanking is that you're screwing
over fans paying tickets. And there's one thousand think pieces
and articles right now about how to fix tanking. If
you quote unquote thinks it, think it needs to be fixed,
I have a novel idea if the problem is truly money.
And by the way, one of the other issues the
(50:47):
NBA has is they should cut ten games off their schedule,
but they never will.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Sure, And that's the case with anything.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Money changes everything, no matter what you were passionate about
or cared about. The second that it becomes commerce and
money gets involved, it changes. It always does. That's the
way it goes the NBA. One should lock ten games
off of their season. It'd be better for everybody. You
wouldn't have to worry about load management. And then number two,
if a team I think, if a team doesn't win
(51:15):
a certain percentage, have a certain winning percentage of their games,
then there should be a percentage of rebate on tickets
that the fans get back.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Oh, I like that interesting.
Speaker 1 (51:25):
And then that would if it's money driven, which it is,
it would incentivize teams to win games for people who
pay tickets to go to games in which a team
is intentionally not trying to win. If that is the crux,
there's this whole other argument about competitive nature. But I
think you can make an abstract argument that you're trying
to be more competitive in the future by tanking. So
(51:48):
I think that becomes, you know, part of the argument.
I'm actually trying to be more competitive in a year
by getting a better draft position. But if it's about
the value and what people pay and what team are,
what networks are paying for TV deals, then if you
don't win a certain percentage of your games, there should
be a rebate.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
That's interesting. For the Yeah, for the long term perspective,
it's better to tank. It's better for you as a fan.
Speaker 1 (52:12):
For the short term ticket holder who has already committed
to season tickets, right they're screwed.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
So I can see that.
Speaker 5 (52:20):
For me, it doesn't for the it doesn't bother me
with the MAVs because I want to watch Cooper flag
I don't and I want them to lose, and so
I don't.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
I don't mind.
Speaker 5 (52:28):
I mean, if if a bunch of people stop buying
MAVs tickets because they're toast and you know they're tanking
or whatever that's better for me. If ticket prices come down,
I would love that because I really all I care
about is watching Cooper flag and I hope he has
a great game in it, and I hope they lose.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
It's so interesting the idea of what fans want and
value and what's best for your franchise. You know, those
Memphis fans, they don't want Memphis trading Joah Morant. Those
Memphis fans love him, and the franchise is like in
a mode where they may just if anybody takes them
off their hands, they would be ecstatic, you know. And
it's like those things just don't always align. And so
(53:06):
when you start conflating what's best for the franchise and
quote unquote competitiveness, those things aren't even aligned right.
Speaker 5 (53:13):
Well that Anthony Davis is a perfect example of that, Yeah, right,
Like they just got rid of him just to start over. Yeah,
and didn't really get anything for him other than you know,
cap relief and to compete, to be competitive. If you're
worried about this year's season ticket holders, it would have
been rushing back from injury even though we're not gonna
make the playoffs. So those games are more competitive, but
(53:34):
those things don't always align.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
It's it's tough and the and the toughest part of
it is the disingenuous nature of the conversation of tanking,
like it's a phony conversation, And if you don't talk
about it in a certain way, you get or you
do talk about it a certain way, you get fined
for being real, you get fine for telling the truth.
And so it's just the whole thing is complicated and convoluted.
(53:55):
But when there's that many billions of dollars at stake,
it becomes a really tricky, sticky mess.
Speaker 5 (54:01):
And it looks like Kyrie could come back based on
the videos and stuff he's posting and what you're seeing,
but there's no reason to rush it.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
So Kyrie done for the year. It's official, he's not
coming back, all right?
Speaker 5 (54:11):
Coming up here in a couple of minutes, the latest
cancelation in the Epstein Files controversy.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
You've got to hear this.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
It's next Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one.
The Eagle is Texas Barbecue going away. What stick around
for the details in fifteen minutes, but right now it's
time for this.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
Are you excited? And now gets to.
Speaker 10 (54:31):
Week Day Day featuring veteran news anchor kg fun.
Speaker 2 (54:36):
Tweets Ken, do you have the ability to tell everyone
quickly about who Tommy Mattola is.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Tommy Mattola the record executive. Yes, if I remember correctly,
he was married to Mariah Carey, that's true from ninety
three to ninety eight and she was just a little baby.
I mean it was like he was a big record executive.
There's all this mergers and stuff and so I don't
know if he started with Sony, but he was a
big record executive and oversaw major careers and is one
(55:07):
of those movers and shakers on a level maybe even
higher than Quincy Jones, just to give you perspective. He's
one of the big music executives of the last forty years.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
So he is also really good friends with Jimmy Fallon,
and they would be seen paling around going to Italian
restaurants in New York all the time, and even a post,
you know, within the last couple months of them hanging
out an Italian restaurant and they were planning on getting together.
(55:38):
And you know what if we co branded our own
pasta sauce and put that out to market. That could
be good because Jimmy Fallon, Tommy Mottola, everyone wants pasta
that similar to those guys Fallon and Matola. I guess
it's not that different than the Prego, a very weird
(55:58):
name for an Italian saw server, Apasta sauce, Prego, prego.
Speaker 1 (56:02):
It's for gals that are carrying. So you know, hey, dude,
this is the Paul Newman playbook. Paul Newman had an
empire of salad dressings and red sauce and all that
Stuffah Newman's.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
So the problem is you're getting ready to get this
out to market and then the Epstein files drop, at
least some of them. There's still more than have not
and probably won't see the light of day. But what
we do know one of the unredacted names out there
is Tommy Battola, who has mentioned over six hundred times.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
In the Epstein files.
Speaker 2 (56:39):
And if you go to jmail, like, I've spent a
lot of time there over the last month, a lot
of back and forth emales, how you been, Give me
a call, Give me a call bell. You know, I
was thinking about building a house on the island, all
kinds of crazy stuff.
Speaker 1 (56:54):
So Jimmy Fallon's like, e we better not. Oh, we'll
say no. So is Fallen in there too? Or just
this guy? Okay, so Jimmy Fallon.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
As I'm typing it in there now, he's in there
eleven times he's in there. But it's not like direct
correspondence with Epstein, like somebody could be just mentioning his
show and he's in there.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
Yes. And it's also I think there's emails where Tommy
Mattola says, hey, man, I can get Fallen to the island.
Speaker 2 (57:24):
And Mattola is all along. He's been like dude. My
correspondence with Epstein was like he would hit me up
for concert tickets like everyone does now, and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (57:33):
Well, so to me, he doesn't even need to say that.
That's kind of phony. Tommy Mottola is a huge executive
with tons of money, and if you're a huge entertainment
executive or real estate person with tons of money on
the level he's at, you cross paths with Epstein. Epstein
was one of the most prominent global financiers of the
(57:55):
last one hundred years, whether it had anything to do
with what was going on on his island or not.
If you were an influential person that had money. You
rubbed elbows with.
Speaker 5 (58:04):
Him, right, I'm sure there's a ton of people who
are mentioned in the files that weren't, you know, trying
to go there for kids, right right.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
There's no doubt. And that's what most of it is. Honestly,
that's what most of it is.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
That that's what Trump is saying, That's what Barack Obama
is saying. Both of those guys are all over those files.
Bill Clinton, Bill Clinton, Bills a little bit. Bill and
Hillary might have a different thing. They're gonna talk next week.
The problem for Bill is he has pictures in a
hot tub.
Speaker 2 (58:29):
Well yeah, but he's got in multiple You can't prove
it was on the island. He's in so many hot tubs. Yeah,
you know, in general across the problem, I think, to me, like,
one name that I've got a bit of a problem with. Okay, yeah,
I'm gonna zoom in on one person here, but it
is interesting to me is old Katie Currk. Because Epstein
did go to jail for bad things, Yeah, involving underage
(58:54):
in Florida. Yes, Like, oh wait, so people are going
to dinner with him in twenty ten. I'm like, come on. Yeah,
it's like, did you enable matt lower.
Speaker 5 (59:02):
A little bit there too? Like there's a lot to
think about there. Once that's happened. How could you not
know that? Yeah, they have to know.
Speaker 1 (59:10):
They did know. They just were willing to have access
to the influence and the money. Like a lot of
people will prioritize the influence and the money and the
power over how people behave. And that's what a lot
of these people are guilty of or complicit of. Is
all right, I know you did that, but man, you
could change my life with your influence, power and money.
Speaker 2 (59:32):
So much money, so much much money. So there it
is no pizza sauce or pasta sauce from a fallon
in Motola. I was looking forward to it real quick,
make it a twenty second thing. But Mariah Carey got
a divorce from Matola. And there's a clip going around
with Michael Jackson at a concert and he's like, stop
(59:55):
filming me, No, you know what, keep filming me. I
want this out there and talks about how Mariah Carrie
came to Michael Jackson and was saying that Tommy Mottola
is a horrible person. Yeah, he was recording me like
he was, you know, would not let her. He's been
controlling her, Yeah, basically, And that's that's been out there. Kat.
Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
What I'm saying is is like the you know for follons, like,
oh my god, it's a it's a cultural touch point,
but like it's kind of common that Tommy Mottola is
not a good dude. Yeah, you know, I mean all
that Mariah Carey stuff. She was very young and not
only did he marry or when she was very young,
he could control her entire career.
Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Yeah, so he's well, I won't be having pasta tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
All right, There you have it.
Speaker 5 (01:00:38):
There's a weekly weekday up date coming up next in
food news, back to some other food. Could Texas barbecue
be going away? Please say no. We'll talk about that next.
All right, coming up here in ten minutes. The Olympics
are going on right now. We're gonna have a discussion
what are the hardest and easiest sports That'll happen here
in a bit.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
But right now it's time for this good time. All right,
Buckle up, boys and gal and metroplex in Texans. Texas
agg Commissioner Sid Miller, you guys know, Sid go way
(01:01:17):
back with Sid Miller. He's sounding the alarm on something.
He says that we've got a perfect storm happening right
now of record high beef prices, the smallest national cattle
herd in seventy five years, inflation, and now consumer demand
is very low. And he's like talking, He's like, this
(01:01:37):
is a very big problem. And now we're seeing a
lot of barbecue places go out of business or notice
they're not making as much money because of all these
things are jumbled together all at once. Have you guys
noticed this out there in the world.
Speaker 5 (01:01:51):
Well, we have some friends who own barbecue restaurants, and
I know that. You know, there's a rising cost of beef,
and you know it's especially if you are a restaurant
who likes high quality stuff. You know, like we have
some friends who own a Wagou ranch. If you go
anywhere intown and you want a Waguo burger, that's a
very specific expensive type of beef. If you go anywhere
(01:02:12):
and get a Wagoo burger, that's expensive. It's a twenty
dollars burger. And then but if you compare it to
a fast food burger, Like, dude, how does that even
make sense? It doesn't but if you want Wagoo, you know,
obviously you're gonna pay the extra.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Amount for that. But just in general, if you're a
barbecue restaurant. We have a friend who has a barbecue
restaurant and they like high end stuff. They pride themselves.
Speaker 5 (01:02:33):
They spend a little bit more on, you know, the beef,
so that it's a higher quality and it's not like
some of these that there's a million locations and.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
It's low quality.
Speaker 5 (01:02:42):
But the minute they raise prices because their prices have
gone up, people freak out and they go online. They're like,
oh my god, I'm not doing that. This place suck,
you know, and they start trying to kill the business.
Like the cost of goods is going up, so the
cost of owning a restaurant and having those things is going.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
To go up.
Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
I do you think it's very And I get it.
We're in the world where everyone has a platform now
and so they're just spouting off emotionally as opposed to
thinking through it. How is there a person alive right
now that doesn't realize what is happening with the cost
of goods in the economy. Like you have to stick
your head so far down a hole like if you
(01:03:20):
have a job, you see it at work. It's just
it's across the board and it's like the only thing
on the news. So to be that person that's going
to go complain about the cost of something go up,
going up. If you have a problem with it, then
go impact the election, Like that's how you can have
your voice be heard. But this is the current state
(01:03:44):
of the economy, all across the board, in every single industry.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
But specifically in this case, to go with all of
what you just said, the historically low inventory cattle. Yeah,
but why wouldn't that correspond with low demand? Yeah, I
don't really know, he said, absolutely. Here's something he says.
He points to historically low cattle inventory as a red
(01:04:08):
flag for what could come next if the problem isn't addressed.
He says Texas could see a broader collapse in demand
for quality beef. He says for the entire supply chain
from the ranch to the smoker to the dinner table,
this is a huge warning sign. He also said, this
was a weird quote to maybe, but maybe you guys
understand it. I'm worried they're gonna try bringing the price
(01:04:29):
of beef down in the grocery store, and that's gonna
bring the price of calves or beef down to the producer.
Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
Well, hold on, don't you think that the decrease in
demand has to do with the price.
Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
That's what I would think.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
I mean, that's what.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
The correlation is.
Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Unless there's some movement out there I'm unaware of to
don't eat barbecue. I mean, I think it just has
to do with people are making I mean, we do
it in our household. We we're making decisions all the
time about how much we can eat out versus how
much we can eat at home. And then even when
you go, you have choices to make it the supermarkets.
Am I going to go to a higher end supermarket
or am I going to go to a you know more,
(01:05:06):
you know, mass produced place because it's going to have
cheaper prices, but the quality is going to be down.
Everybody is dealing with this on every walk of life. Well,
Sid Miller is calling for a way to solve this,
and it is the America First Beef policy.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
I like that, and rebuilding the National Cattle Herd. Should
get a bunch of bulls in there and just let
them go to town. How does this work? I don't
really know.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
I think the bull bulls go to poundtown.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Bulls go to poundtown. Those poor guys, jeez, a literal
piece of meat. They're like, I don't have to really
twenty heifers, Well they want it. They're they're looking for it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
The heifers want it. Yeah, you don't think the bull
does no bulls, it's just work for him.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
It's a job.
Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
I mean, the better bull, the good bulls can he
just can. He's just the Chewest cut.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Depends on this. There's another one. It's like the idea,
you know, the old joke growing up love It'll be
a guin of college. Just want to go, oh, that's
a funny joke in junior high that you're making. Then
you realize, oh, I got to look at all of them.
Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
Yeah, you don't want to look under the hood all
the time. See how those cars run.
Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
That's what the bull's thinking. He's like, well, these aren't
all tens. This seems personal. Huh, this is this is
this is what I think, right, bulls are thinking. You're
projecting onto the bull.
Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
That's what I think. Yeah, you know what, let the
general know what the bulls are thinking. Two on four
seven eight seven one oh five too.
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
There you have it. There's food news.
Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Texas barbecue could be going away coming up in a
matter of minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:06:36):
The Olympics are going on right now. Let's have a
discussion what are the hardest and easiest sports.
Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
We'll do that next Ben and Skin Show ninety seven
point one The Eagle. This segment is brought to you
by roller Town beer Works. That's the brewery right there
in downtown Frisco that Ben and I are partners on,

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):

proud of it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
They hook you up. It's a great experience.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Follow us on all the social media platforms to know
everything that's going on with roller Town beer Works. But
right now it's time for this kill.
Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
The thing's big.
Speaker 5 (01:07:39):
He guys been watching a lot of the Olympics. It's
on almost all the time. It's on at my house.
I'm not like actively going to sit down and say, oh,
the splooge is happening tonight, I gotta go watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
But it's on typically do you.
Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
It's not been on as much at our house, but
I want it to be on because it is a
track situation. And I'm sorry it's happened, but I cannot
see that footage of that same guy going up to
the doorbell cam over and over over with Nancy Guthrie News. Yeah.
I mean, it's horrible, but I'm past the point of
exhaustion on it. It's on a continuous loop. It's it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Don't up.
Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
It's gotten crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
And did they also found that glove. The glove had
no DNA match in the FBI database. Well, I thought
they were saying that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
You know, if you look at what they look like
when he's up on that doorbell cam, it looked like
he was maybe wearing two sets of gloves, so he
might have been wearing gloves beneath the gloves, which makes
it look somewhat professional.
Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
And I still can't figure out was this was this
a hit? Like or was this? Could it have been
any house? Did it? Did they not mean to make
it her house?
Speaker 5 (01:08:47):
Like the first thought is it's a celebrity, it's a
blackmail thing.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
But was it random? I don't know, Like why have
we not gotten anywhere with this?
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
Samamah Guthy makes a lot of money per year, so
you men thinking I can take advantage of that?
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Maybe all those news agencies are going to have to
make a decision about when they walk away from this
story that they've been married to twenty four to seven
with no new developments, that they have on a continuous loop,
and they're going to feel like slimy when they move
away from it because of how they've prioritized it. But
this lady's been missing for how long? Now we're coming
(01:09:20):
up on twenty days? I mean, yeah, do they think
there's gonna be? I mean, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
So the reason I asked though about the Olympics is
because there's a whole article I found that thought was interesting.
It's like, what are the easiest and hardest sports based
on an endurance score? Strength, power, speed, agility, are these
abilities all sports or all the sports? Yeah? All of them?
Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Okay, yeah, so this guy like cornhole is the easiest.
I'm not sure that athletes I would include cornhole as
a sport. About bowling one, I don't think. Yeah, bowling's
down there as the fourth easy.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Arts?
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Oh, I like darts, Ben good call jars darts? Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
Yeah? So this again, all the things the criteria I
gave you, though, is a lot, like a lot of scores, endurance, strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility,
none of those things impact darts, durability, you know, things
like that. So fishing is the easiest, okay, saying I
would think darts is easier than fishing because you got
to haul the fish.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
In Billiards is the second easiest, okay. Race car driving, Uh,
you know that's hard. We're just sitting down in a
chair making one turn. Not you're kind of racing, you
like Christina one. NASCAR's one turn right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
Auto racing is the thirty second easiest sport according to
this How many are on there? Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
Sixty? Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
I think the hardest is probably some sort of swimming
or hurdles all right, water polo, Oh my god? Yeah,
because you gotta tread the entire time.
Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Yes, Swimming in distance is thirty six, swimming for sprints
is forty five.
Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
Okay, water pole okay.
Speaker 5 (01:11:01):
And it's verse eleventh, so that means it's the eleventh hardest. Okay,
what about So I'm assuming like football is on there.
Football is the third hardest sport.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
Yeahs athlete strength and power, triathlons trying. No, Yeah, it's
got to be on there because you got to swim
your ass off and hump it on a bike. I
was watching the winter version of it. That's insane. They
have to do the arrows and.
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
I don't see triathlon.
Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
That's outrageous. Well, it's like three sports though, so it's
you know, running, I'm in the chart. It's like the
neapolitan ice cream. I can't believe you got running a marathon.
I haven't got the first one running a marathon.
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
Running. I don't think running, okay, distance, running not. It's
not on that. Rugby, Oh, rugby could kiss hold on
a second. I just Rugby's number thirteen. Hold on. Running
is not on there, but billiard billiards is. Well, running
is up to everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:11:59):
Can you do?
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
Everyone can go run twenty six miles competitively. Huh, okay,
but you can't hit a buol ball. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
It's yeah, golf, track and field, Okay, maybe that's what
it's under golf.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Golf. You don't have to be a great athlete to
play golf, but it is so difficult to do well.
Speaker 2 (01:12:16):
Yeah, golf is fifty first on here out of sixty.
It's because the endurance and the strength they're not as
high Anthony Kim. The speed you don't have to have,
you don't have to have, the agility, but that's changed.
It depends if you want to win or not.
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
It used to be that fat guys could be great
on tour, but when Tiger came along, all those guys
got in shape to keep up with it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
And now golf is such it's data driven and it's
a science spot now, which I love it. But Tiger
just did an interview with Jordan Speed and it's great,
and Tiger's talking about how he on tournament weeks. God,
he had so much testosterone on tournament weeks. He was
running thirty to thirty five miles a week, plus all
the sex he was having and all that stuff. And
(01:12:55):
he was like, we didn't know, he goes. If I
would have known how bad that would have been for
my eggs, my knees and my back, I would have
never done that. I was jumping, like when I swing,
I would jump and he goes. Now people slide through
the they slide through the because I just.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
Didn't know all that. We didn't know what about soccer,
Soccer a lot of running, so much running. Agill was
having sex while running. Soccer's tenth. God, and you're saying
we're missing an obvious one. Basketball, Basketball's fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Because you need, you know, you need to have a
lot of endurance, speed, agility, all that stuff. Hockey, Hockey
is number twos. That's that's a crazy one.
Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Yeah, skating and all that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
You know, the endurance, how much they are on the ice,
they're they're they're running marathons every time they play a game.
What I don't know if it's a sport.
Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
What about those guys that were there wear those squirrel
suits and jump off a mountain and fly. I know
what you're talking about, but I don't know. Yeah, it's
like flying and then in a suit where you spread
your hands and you just go flying, squirrel flying, base jumping.
Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Yeah, I don't think that's like here, okay, so what
are we missing? An easy one?
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
I think you are powerlifting? No power farting number one,
give a a.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
This used to be a very popular sport, and it's
had some marketing issues for the last twenty five years. Oh, boxing, boxing, boxing,
which is everyone? I think think they could go in
after thirty seconds of like, yeah, someone that I'm out
of gas. There are two bunches. You're exhausted.
Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
When is the last time you guys watched footage of
Tyson in his prime?
Speaker 7 (01:14:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
I stumble across everyone swa.
Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
Athletic thing you've ever seen?
Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
Are they not unreal? It's unreal? Are they not including mma?
In this? Martial arts is sixth?
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
What about mixed martial arts? Why would boxing be more
difficult than martial arts?
Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
Boxing has a higher endurance score, higher strength score, higher
power score.
Speaker 5 (01:15:03):
It's the same thing, except there's not big Kushni gloves
and you can kick.
Speaker 2 (01:15:08):
They're saying flexibility is where martial arts? Would it be tougher?
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
Yeah? They take you to the ground. There's so much grappling,
and I.
Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
Would think martial arts would be way harder nerve. That's
I guess the mental aspect of it. Huh, yeah, that's
what it's saying. God, I don't know any surprises, Kevin, Yes,
there's plenty of surprises.
Speaker 9 (01:15:26):
Oh, jousting. Jousting is tough jousting. After that night of
the Seven Kingdom's episode.
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
I did want to mention number fifteen rodeo steer wrestling
feel like some of you all you're all hanging around
the water cooler. He's like, oh, I could rope a steer, right,
you know? No, fifteenth hard a sport. You couldn't. So
next time you run into a guy in the break
room who's saying he could rope a steer no context.
Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
Where's Bull writing challenging? Yeah, and where's Bronco writing? Because
somebody's telling me Bronco writing is more difficult than Bull writing.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Oh is that right? They have Bull, bear Back and
Bronc writing all at the same and it's forty three?
Speaker 1 (01:16:02):
What forty third?
Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
How does that make any sense at all? Because you
can all get on there and it truly can you
hang on or not?
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
I don't think I can get on there. I think
if you put me in that shoot, it's not gonna
work out for me.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
The other easiest one shooting is number fifty eight. You
all get gone and go take some shots, right, curling
at fifty six.
Speaker 1 (01:16:20):
So when you're watching that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
The Olympics, just going mah, these guys aren't doing much.
Speaker 1 (01:16:24):
It's getting on so much.
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
Can't they slip and fall?
Speaker 1 (01:16:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
Yeah, you gotta be able to skate. I mean that's
the hardest part of it.
Speaker 1 (01:16:33):
Oh they're not, aren't They just on shoes. I think
they're on shoes, yeah, regular in regular shoes. Shoes. No,
they don't put the shoes on. They strap them to
the bottom of their feet. They should be barefooted and
deal with the cold. What about the easiest one being
speed walking?
Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Speed walking? I need to enter this Japanese interval walking. Yeah,
Japanese interval speedwalking. All right, well that's good. Yeah, it's enough.
That's good enough.
Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
Like the show.
Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
There you go, Happy Olympics everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
I'll never forget the time KT was going to get
in a shoot and go bull riding.
Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
He looked at steered dead in its eye.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
He talked to it about the problems with beef prices,
and then he said.
Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Was letting you know, starting tomorrow, I start coming into
work with the mindset of a champion and that Bowl
ran him over with great fervor. Christina, you're giving away
tickets today.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Right I am. Yeah, breaking Benjamin tickets at six fifty.
Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Hang out with our homegirl, Christina next right here on
the Eagle. There you going, You're.
Speaker 7 (01:17:31):
Well, I'm gonna get my sock bag, Dude, I'm not going.
Speaker 3 (01:17:35):
I love the radio
