Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, man, I don't know, man, I heard quit ef
it with I show you're gonna ruling it.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
We except with similar free pursuing it huddled out Shaw
shank through the sewer, Kid, Now what chilling at day Eagle? Yeah,
we're doing it. Three o'clock on the dock. Got a
habit for my house or go status? Howard starting to
get trattic, shows that enough multiplied like a rabbit. Two
the end zone out, crank it up, beat the habit.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm on hang out with a friend, rocking on the ladio.
My boy's head talking on the radio. It's time to
indue this one. All at extreme up, all of them
(00:56):
on the radio. Yes a lord, Come everybody. It's the
world famous Ben and Skin Show here on a Friday,
getting you heading into the weekend, laughing it up with
the local homegrown homeboys joining us here. I'm Ben Rogers,
joined by Jeff skin Wade, Kevin k t Teardown Turner,
and Christina Kray Little Baby corn bra Ray, little bag.
(01:17):
Going back. Have you guys ever dealt with having an
old dog? Oh? Yeah, no, absolutely never had a dog.
Man Shane Gillis does a good job talking about old
dogs and his material. He's like, I think he was
talking about Biden and he was like, you know, everyone's
it's like having an old dog. And you know, one
(01:38):
of your friends has an old dog and you're at
their house and all of a sudden, the dog walks
in and you're like, oh, there there is looking good.
He's hanging in there. He's just doing okay. I had
a friend that just recently had that situation. It was
so tough. We yeah, so our or our veteran dog, Barkley.
He's nearing the end here, and I want to use
(02:00):
it as an opportunity to criticize my wife good and uh,
are you cool with that? Christina?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
That's fine, let's hear it.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, I love off Mike Christina because my wife is
tough as nails. My wife's from Oklahoma and she was
raised by single mother and she's just been tough her
whole life. You know, she didn't come from a lot.
She's frugals, good with money, she's tough as hell. One
time she was a bartender and she was followed home
(02:28):
because somebody wanted to rob her, and so she got
out of her car and they punched her right in
her face and tried to take her purse and she
proceeded to kick their ass. Bam. She's just tough. That's
just tough. She once shot a man just for snoring,
so she doesn't My kids don't get a lot of
sympathy from her. She's toughening them up, which is great. Yes,
so they also know they can't ask her for something
(02:50):
and she'll say no and then come to me. Yep,
because I'll say yes, but she will. They'll then feel
her wrath for going around her and coming to me.
So anyway, she's just tough. That's you know. I'm not
trying to make her out to not be a sweet person.
She also is that, but she's also tough, and good
for her for that. She sounds like Winston Churchhill. The
other night we had people over the house and it was,
(03:13):
you know, for July fourth hangout thing. It was like
all day long pool type deal, and Barkley, who has
to get help getting up oh no, walked all the
way out there and then sat in the number one
worst place for him to be, right in the walkway
where everyone who's coming to our house is gonna have
to walk. They're all carrying ice chests and coolers and
stuff like that, and so they're all gonna have to
(03:35):
step around this dog that can't move. Oh man, Right,
So I'm like, hey, honey, like we should move him
somewhere else. Right. She goes, he's nice. Fine. I'm like, well,
he's kind of you know, he's stuck here and he's
in the way. And he's like, it's not good. Good
she goes, nic, it's fine, look at him. People can
(03:56):
get around him. Well, he sat there for to say,
like sixteen hours. He was just there for a long time.
I was there for a long long time. And then
by the time I went to bed, I you know,
I went to bed early before everyone even left my house.
It was like that. And so my good friend Tyler heroically,
(04:19):
when when it was time for the night to end,
kat always goes, oh, he's fine, he can get up
on his own, and everyone's like, what are you talking, Like,
I don't think he can. Two of those legs don't work,
and yeah, it's four of them, Like the back legs
aren't really doing the lord's work. Yeah, And so Tyler
heroically picked up Barkley and carried him in the house,
which was very nice. Right, throw his back out and
(04:40):
so tonight or this morning, you know, I'm leaving and
my wife's like I hear her talking to Barkley and
she does this all the time. She's like, Okay, Barkley,
come on, hop up. And I'm like, she, I don't know.
In her mind if it's connecting him. She thinks he's
being lazy. But if you watch him, you can tell
that only his front legs are working even when he's walking. Yeah,
(05:03):
because he's kind of dragging the back legs a little bit.
They're they're there and they're kind of moving and stuff.
But God bless him. And so but she says, yeah, no,
but I say that to him enough, he'll get up
on his own inspiration. And so I don't know. Yeah,
I don't know. She's a dog coach and she's trying
to get him fired up.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
You know.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
It's like, yeah, like, hey, he cant's right, I can
still do this. Yeah, let's go what do you what
are you thinking? Christal?
Speaker 5 (05:27):
To me, it would just be hard to accept, and
so I would just keep saying it and just not
accept the fact that my dog is that old because I, uhh.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, that's that's exactly right. Like she is she's she's
she's believing that he gets on arthritis medicine. He's doing
a little better, and so he just needs a little
encouragement to coach him up, right. I remember towards the
end of Roxy's run, Roxy couldn't and Roxy started having
these seizures, so it got really bad. But there is
a moment where Roxy just couldn't use her legs at all,
(05:54):
and me and Trish were just sitting there going all right, Roxy,
come on, you got this, you know, just trying to
will her. Uh yeah, but we we knew, we knew. Well,
it's hard. It's a hard thing, right, yes, So how
how much longer do you have after this period where
we are well, how long has this period been going on? Uh? Yeah,
I would say he's been in this this way for
(06:16):
probably four or five months now six months? Maybe think
every day is a gift, right in an every day
a gift that I'm thinking, But that dog has been
one of the greatest pets in the history of the
Rogers family. How is that a run? Well, it's a
good question. I know that Grace is about to be sixteen,
and there's pictures of Grace hug hugging him as a
(06:38):
puppy and she was probably three. Yeah, and uh, this
is one of the hybrid doodle dogs. Yeah. Yeah, their
runs can be anywhere from nine. If you get twelve
years out of a dog like that, man, yeah really well,
yeah you've done really so, if not in dog years,
but just how many miles are on his odometer right now?
(06:59):
If it a lot? He's an American muscle car. So
many how many miles? Like one hundred and forty eight thousand?
Speaker 4 (07:04):
Good?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, he's gonna have to be restored. You man told
him that the cowboys are gonna win a super that
dog like not in my life I've be talking about
hanging on here. Well, shout out to Barkley, and shout
out to all the old dogs, and shout out to
guys who look for new ways to criticize their wives.
Coming off next again, where you gonna take us in things?
Skin is tracking? All right? What is the first thing
(07:27):
that pops into your mind when I ask you this question?
We'll do it next right here on the Eagle before
we get there. Thank you to our friends that rely
on air conditioning. Eight seven seven your hero that's eight
seven seven nine six eight seven four three seven give
them a call, let them come out and do a
tune up on your air conditioning system. We know what's coming.
It's about to be one hundred and ten degrees here
almost every day. It's going to be a scorcher. It
(07:49):
always is. Make sure your air conditioning system is ready
for the challenge. Think of it like changing the oil
in your in your car. If you don't ever change
the oil, that engine's going to eventually go out on you.
Same thing with your air conditioning system. But doing the
routine maintenance, you can extend the life of it. How
you don't have to replace it like I recently had
to do. So call Reliant air Conditioning today their gimmick free,
which means they'll send an actual technician to your house,
(08:10):
not a salesperson looking for a commission. Call Reliant air
Conditioning right now eight seven seven, your hero. Yeah, and
they can save you money, but not with like gimmicks
or you know BS deals. Basically there's different programs and
rebates from manufacturers. Well, Relying air Conditioning has been around
since nineteen eighty three. They have all these great relationships
and they can combine these programs so right now they
(08:30):
can save you fifty seven hundred dollars by combining four
different programs fifty seven hundred dollars real savings. Why don't
you see what we're talking about? Give them called eight
seven seven your hero that's eight seven seven nine six
eight seven four three seven, or you know, check them
out online. Rely on Airconditioning dot com. See for yourself
why they've been gimmick free since eighty three, out there
(08:51):
providing comfort to homeowners that don't want to be taken
advantage of. Tell them Ben and skin sentsh you when
you call Reliant air Conditioning. Y coming up in a minute.
Christina's Cookie Yard sec. Four o'clock. How your dog could
make you some money? I gotta get my dog Barkley
(09:11):
out there to make some money for me here right
at the very ending out there on the streets. Cash.
But right now, it's stip for this.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I like that riff.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
Yeah, the Texas two fifty game is back. We did
this to end the show yesterday. It's also brought to
you by the Dallas Boat Show. That sounded like a
boat song, didn't it. Yeah, Hoes. Dallas Boat Show seven
sixteen through seven nineteen at Dallas Market Hall.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Get out out there.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
So Houston Chronicle had this list of the two hundred
and fifty most influential Texans because of America just turned two
fifty and Ben Skin and Christina would say a number.
I would read the name on that list, and they
would just have to say what that person did to
get on the list. That's how you get your points.
Your score is Skin six, Ben five, Christina three.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (09:59):
Now, now the point system has changed because lower in
the list is more of a risk.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
We're up top.
Speaker 6 (10:09):
You got Beyonce was number three, So now whatever point
you go for is how many points you get?
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Oh incredible, Christina.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
That is an intriguing twist. Let's start with forty eight.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
Number forty eight, Christina for forty eight points. Can you
tell me why Babe Diedrichson Zaharias is on this list?
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Babe Zaharias, I mean, he was great on CBS eleven
and he loves the Boss. He's a huge Bruce Springsteen fan.
That is why he's on this list.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
But this is a woman, and.
Speaker 6 (10:53):
That's a great athlete, one of the first great athletes,
one of the great first female athletes, Olympian, all kinds
of stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Katie Neuer as a sweaty gal of a golfer too. Yeah, yeah,
playing golf. Uh okay, what was that, Christianae? You take
forty eight? Forty eight? All right, I'll do half a century.
Fifty is what do you got? Yeah? Fifty George Floyd. Wow,
way to make it very sad. Kevin on the list,
(11:22):
he is. He is cousins with Steven Jackson, the NBA
player that's also on All the Smoke and he he
got murdered in the streets of Minneapolis by police.
Speaker 6 (11:35):
Fifty points for skin, taking him up to fifty six.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Benow Ben knows how to play this game right there.
You guys are probably going to strike out, but he
got a swing for the fence. You guys are beating
around the bush. Meanwhile, Ben's like, let's get to it here.
Say that to her. Jacqueline Cochrane, Jacqueline Cochran, Old Jackie Cochran.
(12:00):
He surprisingly was a big advocate for small group of
local Texans, and he had a profound impact pushing their
agenda and accomplishing all of their goals. Collected the first
woman to break the sound barrier. All right, she did
it with her scream. That's what's weird about it.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Yeah, Christina, all right, let's do two forty five.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Wow, two forty five. She's going for the big money. Jim.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
Okay, I'm reading what they put in the article Sunberg
Jim Mattress, Mac mcingvill.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
Oh okay, so he's the guy who honestly got famous
for betting, betting a lot.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
That's amazing. She crushed it. She's a forty eight forty eight.
So Skin fifty six been five Christina, two forty eight Mattress,
matt If you miss, do you lose that amount of points? No, Now,
you're good. Isn't gonna earn it? You know you're you've
you've already earned what you've earned.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Pretty much math.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
To ear it. Skin, give me two hundred down at
two hundred here, utah, give me two hundred utah.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
This would take Skin up to two fifty six. It
would put him back in the lead. All right, so
this is a big one, Skin.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Yep. Tell me about Norma McCorvey. Uh well, she has
two sons that look just like Uh No, Norma McCorvey
is the proprietor of Norma's Cafe. That was good. That
was the plain off in Roe V. Wade. Yeah, oh,
(13:42):
sorry to your family. God give me one seventy five.
Ben going for one seventy five. This would put him
at one eighty right back in the mix. This is
a big one, folks for one seventy five. Ben tell
us about T bone Walker? Incredible. Did we just talk
about him or was that a different T bone It
was on a different list. No, I thought we talked
(14:05):
about Oh, T bone T Boone Pickens is on there too, Yeah,
which which one of those T boon bones? T bone Walker? Yep,
of course I remember well Aids right. T bone Walker
was known for wearing really tight underwear and it almost
(14:27):
looked like it almost looked like there was two two
pool balls. They were divided and there was a long
distance between them, and it was distinctive because he had
to walk in it gingerly fashioned just due to the
ball pain. He was a really you know, a big
electric guitar player, and he played the guitar player one
(14:51):
tons of grammy. Yeah, yeah, it's T. Bone Walker.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
We'll come back from part two. Your score is Christina
two forty eight skin fifty six, been five Texas to
fifty turns.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Next on ninety seven to one legal before we get there.
Thank you to Frankel and Frankel, Mark Frankel, Scott Frankel,
and Jean Briquette. These are the lawyers you need to
call if you've been involved in a wreck that's not
your fault. These are our guys, our good friends. We
love these dudes. They're always nominated for Best Attorneys in
Dallas and d Magazine, each one of them. And it's
no surprise, but it's more than the awards, like they
are really good for their clients. And I know because
(15:22):
I was one got into a horrible wreck. I called
the Frankels from the scene. They fought the other side,
set up the MRIs and at the end of it
all got me a nice cash settlement. It's what they do, baby,
Give them a call as soon as you get hurt
in the wreck two one four, three, three, three, thirty three,
thirty three or eight one seven in all threes, get
them on the case. They're advocates for injury victims and
they fight for you with no out of pocket expenses
(15:43):
for you. So if you get hurt in the wreck
on the job site, even like a dog attack, where
this is not your fault, now you have these issues.
They fight for you because the insurance companies will not
experience family owned, local, highly awarded, great people and partners
with the binin Skin. See for yourself. It's Franklin Frankel
two point four three three three thirty three thirty three,
(16:05):
Chosen by the people and feared by the insurance companies.
Fire NK e L Call Frankel first, Ben and Skid

still got some Motley Crew tickets to give away. Be
listening for your chance to win. Christina, what's coming up
in the cookie jar here?
Speaker 5 (16:23):
In fifteen I'm going to tell you how you or
your dog can make you money.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Hell yeah, But first the grand finale to KT's Texas
two fifty games.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
That's right, this is the game we've been playing where
the Houston Chronicle has the two and fifty most influential Texans.
You're saying a number on this list two fifty to one,
but you get the points if you can tell me
what they've done. Here's the score. Christina is in the
lead at two forty eight. Uh Skin is next at
fifty six, and Ben has five. Kristilla Nal you were up, Christina.
(16:55):
I'll be honest, you're kind of going for the kill
shot right here if you want to, or you could
take four.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Hey, you don't need to hold her hand as Yeah,
don't tell her what to do as man. I think
it's a complimenting. Yeah, it's a complement, but still quit
you hold her hand because you think she's a woman
and she can't do what she needs to do to win.
And she's like saying, I'm independent, I can do it
without you, bitch.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
I want to know what he was gonna say.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
I just didn't know if what I was gonna say
needed to be dumb. But I think her as man
was good. He's gonna say the whole but then he
just audibled into a safer play. Get a little wife,
that's a good thought.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
He's gonna go with that.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Okay, one on one, Okay, taking the one on one.
She's kind of hedging here. Joseph sked culling in, culling in.
It was a great linguist.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Yes, okay, man culling in part of the he's a
culling in brother, right.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
I believe.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
You had a late night show culling O'Brien. Yeah, so
what was her guest that he's a black guy. She
already she already tapped out. It's an oil man. He
created Texico. Skin, Uh give me one and ninety nine, Kevin.
This would give him the lead. I think.
Speaker 6 (18:19):
I don't know if he did this math or not,
but this would be a huge one. And on this list, yep,
all the way down at one.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Fine, very quickly, keep going, brother brother one ninety nine.
Here we go, Skin Doug sam spelled s a h m. Yeah,
uh no, no, no, I'm trying to think if it
was Abilene the samwich. He invented the salmich.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
He was a leader in the American side of text
mex music, combining blues, country rock and Mexican music.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Oh yeah, it is no give me two seventeen to
seventeen that Ben is.
Speaker 6 (19:01):
Going for it here two seventeen, big one here Ben
text Ridder.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
He that was, uh the reason that the state is
called Texas. And he was the inventor of beef jerkey.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
Correct, this is the father of John Ridder though, oh
my god, almost John Ridder.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yeah good, that was your chance. Yeah all right, Christina Dodgson,
bullets there, Christina, Yeah, let's go let's go to one
that's too aggressive.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
I think it's his too, but we'll see how it
works out for me.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
I like it though. I like it to one on
us Christina tom Ford.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
Oh, Tom Ford, inventor of the Ford the actual car. Sorry,
inventor of the car. And then Ford Industries.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Nope, fashion guy tom Ford. Oh yeah, into him right,
jay Z. You know he was a Texan from Austin. Okay,
give me two o five, two o five. Jeff Skinway,
Ben Crenshaw, Ah, famous golfer let one of the greatest
putters of all time masters two o five. A little
(20:11):
too much info from you there, skin up to two
oh five to sixty one. He's now in the league.
What's the biggest number for a celebrity? I mean the
kind of it is pretty scattered on this list, all right, Uh,
what is the biggest number available?
Speaker 6 (20:28):
To go for the biggest one available? Okay, I'll just
go find that. It's easy.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
No, I'd like to go back up to seven. You
gotta get some momentum going two forty nine. William P. Hardiman.
So this he is the first guy who you could
see what was happening in his pants and they were
like you got a hardiman man, and I can see
(20:58):
it poking. And then eventually people abbreviated it down over
time as the game of telephone was played, and eventually
they just said, hard man. This is a Texas Ranger
in Civil War general yep, short of stop First Rangers
short stop yep. Okay, final round. Here we go, lightning Christina.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Yeah to fifty one.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
No, two fifties right ended?
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Oh duh, Sorry, I.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Think she got her shot blocked. It's like twenty one.
She goes to.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Zero, forty eight.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
To forty eight.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Paul Boche, Boche, Paul Bouche, yep, the boschman is what
they used to call him.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
I called him that.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Paul I don't know invented the cowboy boot.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Now he was a wrestling promoter, invented Yeah, worked with
Von Erics. Okay, my final shot, give me one fifty. Utah,
all right, we'll give you one fifty. That's your fault, man,
you put that in my head. Also, watch your watch yourself,
big yourself, big girl. David Robinson, Oh God, used to
be about to take it at night. Now he is.
(22:01):
He is the admiral, my friend.
Speaker 6 (22:04):
It's a different David Robles he created the couch. No,
I'm kidding, You're right. Yeah, Well, fifty Skin is your
winner of Texas fifty. He is the honorary Texan of
the show for the week. In fact, he will be
traveling the state. We should keep playing this the rest
of the show. So good, Christina, Where are you gonna
take us? Next in the cookie Jar?
Speaker 5 (22:24):
I'm gonna tell you, guys, are your dog can make
you money? Next on the Eagle.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
All right, our own Kevin Turner went out to a
Ranger game and he saw lots of things, and he's
going to give us a Rangers game report what it
was like being out there seeing those Texas Rangers play.
Saw some interesting things in the stands. But right now,
stand for this. I did it all. Cookie Cooky, cookie,
cookie in job.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
Stick it in my job. Stick it in my job.
Before I get to this dog story, tonight, we have
something really cool happening right here on the Eagle. Uh So,
the Rolling Stones have a brand new album. It's called
Foreign Tongues, and we're going to play that entire album
right here at eight pm. Hell yeah, from beginning to
(23:10):
end again eight o'clock four in Tongues.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
So do not miss that our buddy Kent Garrison had
a great tweet. He said, I don't think enough is
being made about the fact that the Rolling Stones still
release new albums and tour. It's crazy.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
It's crazy because hold on, how old is How old
is a Reach Jagger?
Speaker 3 (23:26):
He's eighty three?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I don't know. I think you're right. I think it's
eighty three or eighty four. He's closed.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
My dad's age mid eighties. But my dad still dances
like that too, and that'll be during my show. So
I'm excited to just sit there and listen to that.
So this is over in China, there's a new platform
that lets people rent out dogs to go take them
for a walk for an hour. And if you have
a dog yourself, you can put them on this platform too.
(23:52):
Put up a price point for him, give them a
little description, and there you go.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
I think it's a great idea.
Speaker 6 (23:58):
I know that animal people will tell you this is
dangerous and confusing to dogs, yep. But for people who
don't have dogs but would love to make their wife
happy by giving them a dog for a night.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Great, you rent it for one walk or for hour,
you can probably keep it for three four hours. I'm
sure you could.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure it can be longer than
just an hour. And then there's some like like there's
one dog on here where the owners like I have
to be there the entire time you're with my dog
because I want to make sure you don't feed it
anything you're not supposed to feed it. So there's like
caveats to this thing.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Yeah, you don't want it. You don't want someone to
do some terrible dog abuse. No, dude, you can rent
a cat, Like what good is that the cat's just
going to ignore you, like right, and what somebody's bringing
over in a cat carrier. That's kind of like the
people that like to be shamed and humiliated as part
of their sexual life. All right, I'm going to rent
this cat and have it ignore me. What time do
you want me to drop the allergies off at your house?
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Man?
Speaker 1 (24:55):
If I am anywhere near a cat and I touch
my eyes, yeah, oh it's brutal. Yeah, But I also
wonder this, like most of the time on dating apps
or social media, don't people put like pictures that aren't
really representative of how they look right now? Yes, maybe
these are pictures of these dogs and cats when they
look to their best. Yeah, but maybe they don't have
(25:16):
their fastball anymore. And if you I would groom my dog,
put it in the catalog and then never groom it again.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
What a great idea, Like if you just don't have
time to walk your dog, which that's kind of what
Rover is. Rover, you can hire people to walk your
dog and take care of your dog. But this is,
I mean, it's kind of a good idea.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Do you kids still play Red Rover? Fo three? Let
the general know if you kids are still playing Red Rover?
You know what, what were the rules of it? I
don't remember Red Rover? Red Rover? You should they call
out someone and they got to come and they got
to break your your holding hands, they got to try
to break through. Yeah, so it's it's such a breaker.
(25:56):
It's such a silly game. But you should text two
and four seven one oh five three and said red Rover,
Red Rover. Let broadest come over and just say that
yes and see what that'd be great to see what happens.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Dude.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
The guys would always target if there's two girls by
each other, because they knew it'd.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Be easy, like, oh, they're girls, they're weak and just
go straight through it.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
They'd yelled double team as they were running through it.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
I think they yelled that.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
But uh okay, like like Kat said, this whole app
thing they're officials are saying officials, but professionals, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Experts, dog experts.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
They're saying this is a bad idea because dogs don't
need to be meeting that many strangers don't need to
break their routine like that, Like it's it stresses them out.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
You know what. You know who doesn't know that? It's people?
Dogs have not pulled people aside and said, look, it's
just really stressing me out. I mean, you want to
stress a dog out, take it to a dog park
and suddenly take a take a small dog to that
battle ground that's known as a dog park. I also
don't know. I mean you have to do. Dogs do
(26:59):
feel trauma, obviously if they go through something serious. But
my dogs are so excited anytime there's food out, and
they bring the same excitement every time, undeterred and carrying
no trauma from the last forty seven thousand times where
they got that excited and got nothing. Yes, they've not
learned from any of those experiences now they still are
just as happy and excited. They are creatures of the moment.
(27:21):
Dogs are, so.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Your dogs get excited when you come home, right And
so Mike and I went outside to take the trash
out for literally one minute, came back. They were just
as excited, were like we weren't just here, guys.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
It's okay.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
You know what I'm gonna find just because it'll drive
KT crazy. There is stand up from the late eighties
of Jerry Seinfeld talking about pets. It's very much this
observation type stuff. I'm going to find it and force
Katy to listen to it at gunpoint. Why do you
drive parkway and park on the driveway? I remember he's
like Sidefeld talking about the dog. He's like, it's him,
(28:01):
it's that guy. He's home again. And he said it
just like seinfeldw you'd love it, tizd you'd love it.
Then I would only.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Mention this real quick too.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
In honor of Mike s Roy, The Prestige is coming
back to theaters for its twentieth anniversary. So that's the
Christian Bale one yes, Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson, and Hugh Jackman.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
All dude, that's a good movie. I love that about
the theater. It's weird because there was two Magician movies
that came out at the same time. It was The
Prestige and the other one was called The This is.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
The better one and it's gonna come back to theaters
in January.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
So yeah, we'll figure it out. Yeah, all right, thank you, Christina.
There's the Cookie Jar coming up. Next. Let's go around

What is the thing that you can rent that she
was just talking about. If you know the answer, you're

(30:21):
segment's brought to you by Frankel and Frankel, longtime supporters
of the Ben and Skin Show. Thirty years of being
injury advocates. If you get hurt and wrec called the
Frankels first two, one, four, three, three, three, thirty three,
thirty three. Now let's do this. Now, this is around
the sports. KTD Quins has all the sports. Yes, yeah, wait,
(30:47):
So you know how back when we worked at the Fan,
we had sometimes get emails saying, hey, uh is zeone
wanna go to the Ranger game tonight? And then every
employee that wants to go responds and they do a
little drawing. Yep.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
So my wife currently works for that company, Odyssey, and
she's like, Hey, I want the Ranger game drawing.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Do you want to go the games? Yeah? Absolutely, that
sounds great. I haven't been a Ranger gam yet this year. Absolutely.
Wednesday Night, uh playing two quick questions. Do you score
the game when you're there? Uh? No, but I could
do you bring your mit? No? No, not anymore? Why not?
You know?
Speaker 6 (31:22):
For me, I think I want to do the bear
handed catch, but I've got a perfect set of I
want the bear handed catch. I scout all the kids
in my section right, and I'm looking.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
For as you grind your teeth, yeah, no one knows
why you're doing that. I'm looking for the most downtrodden
kid I can find, because when I get that foul ball,
I'm immediately while the camera's on me bee lining to
that kid making the gesture and then looking up at
the camera just to know good dude, and then fully
get away at the last minute and go in sight.
(31:53):
Get your own life. Is hard the.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Cameras turn off.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
I get that back something. So I have a tough thing.
As you know, Ben, I throw with my right, which
means my glove is on my left, but I right
left handed, So I couldn't score the game and bring
my MED at the same time. So I did choose
one of the trouble. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (32:14):
Yeah, just get your wife who's sitting next to you
to write down. Hey, that's a that's a four to three,
so I didn't run it, so I got there. Though,
it's a dollar dog Night.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Oh well those aren't the best. Yeah, well okay, this
is what I thought. Okay, so my memory of dollar
dog Night is that they're very mushy. Yeah, uncooked sogs.
The uncooked So I don't know if it's the new
ballpark or what it is. They were great. What the
(32:47):
bun hey, the bun ben was great. Really, we need
to get some of those fun What is a homemade
hot dog too? What you made the sausage yourself? It
was all right, big suit from arkansall. Now, they're not
as big as the ten dollars ones. You know that
you can go and watch them actually on the grill.
(33:08):
But they were fine. They were like they were good. Dude.
That's impressive because usually they are soggy, water boiled, room
temperature dogs that they're just trying to get rid of
and bulk slightly biased brought up why not have slider
size hot dogs? Why not get three slider sized hot dogs?
Many dogs? Yeah, that's kind of what they are. Really.
They are about like that a dollar okay, yeah, but
(33:30):
there's no taxes, but being able to throw them up
in the air and catch them in your mouth. Is
so bad. It's just great to at a ballpark where
everything costs up so much money and they go, that'll
be two dollars. Yeah, is it the guy going through
with the like carrying the little soggy broiler over that
I won't get it from them, So I'm going to
the to the to the counter. You know, there's so
(33:52):
many counters now, okay, so now this is where I
want to get so many counters.
Speaker 6 (33:55):
There's a point in the game where the Rangers have
one hit, and in that hit, Josh Smith got thrown
out a second base trying to stretch it into a double. See,
you can get a base runner for that hit. They
lost eleven to one or something last night, and I
left way early. Yeah, but about the fifth inning, and
I was ready to watch for this. I was like,
look around at any open section. At some point, I
think they're gonna do the shirt off thing. One guy
(34:17):
on his own goes up to a section by himself,
stands there near the top, takes his shirt off and
starts spinning around and his head like a helicopter. And
then it starts to happen in the fifth inning and
I saw it as it was developing, and then I
saw the second guy go and I'm like, okay, this
is great, and I tell everyone around me, like, here's
where it's going.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
It's going right field, above the right field foul pole.
Weigh the hell up there.
Speaker 6 (34:39):
And then sure enough, in about five minutes, you can
see the line of people start going up there, and
it's all white guys, of course start sure Enough, within
five minutes there's twenty people doing it, and it's amazing.
They're losing so bad, and they're getting louder too while
they're doing it, and they don't stop.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
It is eleven to one Angels. I'm telling you, there's
nothing good happening in this game. Then they get loud.
So then in section one thirty three.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
In the outfield right behind the Rangers bullpen, a crowd
starts happening there. So what the Rangers have done wisely
is noticed that on nights like this with a stadium
is not full, they got all those people who were
up there and filled up that section up in the
three hundreds and brought them down to one thirty three.
So when I left the game and the before the
eighth inning started, they were so loud, and it's one
(35:25):
hundred people or more yea in their head around and
they were running through the concourse to join one thirty
three and they're all together.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
It's really crazy and fun. And you don't see this anymore,
you know how Ready always wants to top one another.
The next stage of this is guys are going to
run to an empty section, drop their pants and do
the helicopter that way. I don't think they are. Yeah,
that would be I think that's illegal. Is that?
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:52):
What if it is in a different sections? Who you're playing? Yeah,
we need to do always. There's no time that the
helicopter is good at a family event. All right? Coming
up next, it's the Food News. A listener is taking
Skins Food Challenge. We have that update. Next, the Today
game is coming up in ten minutes. And as I
(36:13):
scour over this list, there definitely is room for you
to do something special today. Oh no, show up and
there's one person who probably won't beat but the rest
of the field is wide open. But right now it's
time for this time. It was either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (36:37):
Skin challenged all of us to go try a steak
McMuffin from McDonald's.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yep, some new thing you'd discovered. It's egg McMuffin. Instead
of the Canadian bacon, you can get their steak. Yeah,
what does it look like? Delicious? I mean I should
take it all the hash man. I had one this morning.
I should have taken a picture of it. Is it
like brown steak? I'm colorblind. It looks like okay, you
know how they're Canadian bacon. Looks it looks like that.
(37:06):
If it was steak, it's a circle, So it's like
roast beach colored. Is it thin like that? Or is
it like steak? Probably about like that thick ben Okay, okay.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
So we always encourage you to get the free iHeartRadio
app and you can leave a message to us on
the talkback feature.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
Is it salisbury steak? Is that it? Let me see that? God,
I wish my eyes still worked. Uh yeah, that's it.
Is it salisbury steak or steak steak? What is a
subury steak fast food steak? Salisbury steak is a steak
that has a gravy on it. Salisbury Steak's kind of
like a burger pet No, this is this is a
(37:44):
little more like a burger patty. But okay, No, okay,
it's somewhere between Ribbi and a burger patty. Okay, all right,
and again you like it. I love it, Okay. I
think it's seasoned perfectly.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
So he challenged us and none of us did it.
So I'll say, well, friend of mine, Texas Carter sena
talkback on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
And I have it. Okay, he did try it, and
here is his review of the steak McMuffin.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
I was listening to the podcast this morning her Jeff
skin Wade recommend the steak and egg McMuffin. I was like, man,
it's McDonald's up the road here. Let me try this
bad boy out after eating it. I have one question,
why does Jeff skin Wade hate the listener. Does his
(38:39):
color blindness cause him to not see his poor life
choices that didn't make sense. No, I think Jeff skin
Wade found the thing that caused his cancer, and in
some weird, villain twisted arc, he wants to pass that
on all of his listeners. Because now, if this was
(39:03):
some family feud style game show, my new leaderboard rankings
for the Ben and Skin Show would be number one
Ben Rogers, number two, KT and k Raid tied for
second number three of a.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Four skin weeight son yes, number five, Jerry, Oh, okay.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
Then maybe skin would squeeze in there at number six.
I don't know what we did to you, Skinway, I
don't know, but man, why do you hate us?
Speaker 1 (39:43):
I wonder if he didn't get cheese on it. That
guy's a badass. That guy is a hero. Thank you
for doing that. You're just kissing up to him because
he thinks one. No, I think we need more listeners
bringing it, giving us reports on things like that. But
I would okay, and it's fair. I think he made
some valid points. What I would like is I would
like to get a bigger sample size. We need at
(40:04):
least nine other listeners, yes, to try the steak and
egg and cheese egg McMuffin. Don't get the steak and
bagel thing. It's fine too, I like it. We get
the egg McMuffin with steak instead of Canadian bacon. We
need at least nine listeners to do that and leave
us messages. Yes, tell them how to reach us. Oh
they get you that? Where did they get that to you?
The iHeart radio at the talkback feature? Yeh, that's still works,
(40:27):
so we can give away Motley Crew tickets.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
Yeah, that's how we give a way tickets.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Ben, it's been disasked if the thing that we gave
away tickets every day for the last five years, we
have text machine two years after I'm actually we don't
have the text to the anniversary of that clip. Actually today,
that's incredible. I love the synergy of the show. So
we need at least nine other people to go try
(40:54):
the egg McMuffin with steak instead of Canadian bacon and
leave a review. And if it's the same reviews Texas card,
that's fine. We just need real scientific proof. Man. I
would like to get people to send us video reviews. Yeah,
because we can make the montage put together. How do
we get those, Ben at iHeart. Send it to us
on social media, go to the What's going on in
(41:16):
dallasports Worth or post it somewhere. Get it to us
a video of you reviewing that and we'll put them
all together. Post it somewhere and get it to us.
You can email me Ben at Benninskin dot com. You're
welcome to send it to me. Send it yeah, Ben
at Benskin dot com. Fantastic stuff all right coming up next,
it's the today game right here on the eagle. Before
we get there, thank you to our friends at the
chalk Taw Casino and Resort right up the road and Durant, Oklahoma.

In our last segment, when we started the Today Game,
KT accused me of saying it was the today game
for today Friday, July eleventh. Now today is Friday, July tenth?
(43:28):
Did I say it correctly? Did I say July tenth?
Or did I say July eleventh? So one of us
will be vindicated? Christina is going to replay it. If
I say tenth, I'm the winner. If KT, If I
say eleventh, KT is the winner. Loser's got to jump
off the building. Yep, yep's check the tape jack wagons
go get it. All right, it's time to play the
(43:48):
day game for today July eleventh, twenty sixth Friday.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
What happens my eleventh.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
To the show sometimes vindicated? All right, dumb today? Yeah,
but right now it's time for this.
Speaker 6 (44:09):
News twenty five most influential Dallas recording artists of the
last twenty five years d Magazine. We've been doing five
a day all week long. It's time to get to
five through one number five the old ninety sevens.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
Yeah, got no problem with this. Of course, they were
so good in that movie about Jennifer Andison's body. Oh
that's a great movie. There's more than that, Yeah, Jennifer,
they're great, Jennifer Anish.
Speaker 6 (44:40):
These guys put out a bunch of albums too. Yeah,
I'm thirteen albums released in the last twenty five years.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
We were talking about these little clips that are coming
out that d magazine is released of local music music
people talking about these bands and the guitarist Ken was
talking about everyone was assuring them they were going to
be huge, like they were going to be the next Nirvana,
and then it didn't happen, and they were like, oh God,
what's going to happen to us next? And then they're
(45:07):
still cranking out albums twenty five years later, still going.
Speaker 6 (45:10):
They also made a point in this article to mention
like how good they were about when they would have
their big like they're an old ninety sevens County Fair shows,
they would do a really good job of like getting.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
Local bands giving him love. Yeah, yeah, like Paul Coffin,
the Bastards of Soul and things like that. Yeah. Number four,
Leon Bridges, what an incredible story. Yes, like skin you
wrote the profile for I did write the profile for this.
The Leons story is amazing. It's uh, there was a guy.
There was a it was it's still around, but there
(45:41):
was a real influential music blog called Gorilla Verse Bear
and the guy one of the guys. He ran Is,
got Chris and I will not forget this. He sent
me and Danny Bayless. At the time, I was on
the fan, Danny was on the ticket, and he sent
the two of us an email with a SoundCloud link
and they had posted I think two songs up there
(46:02):
and was like, what do you guys think of this?
And I was like, man, this sounds really cool. Like
three months later he was on Columbia Records, like, they
recorded it, they posted it, They actually built a studio
to record this music. They heard him singing at an
open mic night, took him down the street to this
warehouse where they had a bunch of vintage recording gear,
recorded it and then he just exploded. And it happened
(46:25):
so fast. You know what's beautiful about that is I'm
sure in his mind there was maybe thought about not
going to that open mic night. Yeah, and he was like, now,
what the hell, I'll go. Yeah, you know, and that
hopefully that serves as inspiration for someone else to go
do something like your thing.
Speaker 6 (46:40):
It happened real fast. Once that album dropped. Six months later,
he was on Saturday Night Live.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
Incredible. The first year I can't remember, but I thought
he had a Super Bowl commercial like three or four
months later. Oh really, yeah, what it is a long
story to get into number three. Nora Jones incredible you
and t yes. And you know the other thing about
her her you know, she's got a famous father. Her
father is a very famous sitar musician named Robbie Shankar.
(47:10):
Did you know that, kat I did? And and he
was used a lot, like in pop music in the
sixties when they wanted to have that in like there
was a time period where all the Beatles thought they
were Indian. Yeah, you know, they got an old transcendental stuff.
But I don't think he was involved in her life
at all. And anyways, a famous, huge jazz label called
(47:31):
Blue Note Records, probably one of the biggest jazz labels
ever and had kind of gone away and they signed
her and she had a massive debut record, like I
don't know what, it probably sold like seven or eight
million copies. And she's doing torch song piano jazz, so crazy.
Speaker 6 (47:47):
She started Grapevine High School before she went to Booker
t Okay, she was just in the Marching Man playing saxophone.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
Amazing.
Speaker 6 (47:54):
She beautiful Number two Saint Vincent, she was also in
the movie Ted Saint Vincent.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
Yes, a badass. She's a badass.
Speaker 6 (48:03):
She has a badass, yeah, surely is like. And I
think she's gonna last a long time too. Yeah she
she's uh, you know, for a while she was doing
stuff with David Byrne. He was real into her.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
But she was on tour with Polyphonic Spree when she
got her record down, and I think she just left
the band mid tour. Yeah, guitar player. I think she said,
see you later. It's gonna be bigger.
Speaker 3 (48:27):
Yeah, Like, why wouldn't you.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
Lake Island's girl. Uh, total badass number one, Rika Badu
skin What else can you say?
Speaker 2 (48:37):
Man?
Speaker 1 (48:38):
She pretty much. I mean, she didn't invent a style
of music, but she made a thing huge. There was
a whole movement in the nineties called neo soul, which,
by the way, she wants nothing to do with that title,
but it kind of happens because of her. Man and uh,
and we had friends that were got to be involved
in her first record, and she took the world by storm, Grammys,
(49:01):
Platinum Records, and still like she is a huge, huge deal.
It's pretty incredible. And she lives right over there off Uh,
what's that lake out there? Everybody canoes white Rock? She
lives right off White Rock Lake. Isn't that cool? Yeah?
All right, there you have it. Uh, coming up next?
What's going on in Dallas? What Worth?
Speaker 6 (49:20):
All the shows you need to know about this weekend? DFW?
Next one Legal before.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
We get there, Thank you to Frankel and Frankel, Mark Frankel,
Scott Frankel, and Jean Briquette. These are the lawyers you
need to call if you've been involved in a wreck
that's not your fault. These are our guys, our good friends.

Solutions dot com. Give our buddy Randy Parrish a call
two one four two two seven eight four eight eight.
We're gonna give you the number again a couple of
times if you haven't had anybody up to inspect your
roof in a while. Look, we get hail, we get
high winds here in the Metroplex all the time. It's
very important to have those roofs out because water that
leaks or seeps into your home, it can lead to
black mold wood rod. It can lead to expensive repairs.
(57:06):
Don't trust the guys going door to door in your neighborhood.
Those aren't even real roofing companies. Trust Randy Parish. Give
them a call right now. Two one four two two
seven eight four eight eight. Yeah, you'll be hooking up
with our homie, our buddy, our friend, Randy Parrish. In fact,
my wife was like, hey, you need to call Randy.
Our fence has been pretty beat up over the years
because you know, you think about hail, hail damage to
(57:28):
your roof. It hits your fence, it hits your window frames.
He can help you with all that stuff. Plus he
can help you with financing and the out of pockets stuff.
There's a lot of different ways that can lower your
costs that are all perfectly legal and compliant with all
laws and regulations. Navigating that insurance terrain is a huge
part of this, and Randy can help you do it.
(57:49):
Give him a call telling Ben and Skin sends you
two one four two two seven eight four eight eight.
That's two one four two two seven eight four eight
eight for our friends at Parish Roofing Solutions. You can
also check them out online at Paris Routing Solutions. All right,
do us a big favor. Make sure you're following the
Ben and Skin Show on Instagram. We'd appreciate it. We
(58:10):
have a Twitter account, we have a Facebook page, we
have a Facebook group called What's going on in Dallas
Fort Worth, and we just found out that we even
have a TikTok account that we've largely abandoned. So be
sure to follow us on all the social media platforms.
But right now it's time for this. It's time to
go into the Bitter and Skin Show. Wordybut it's hard
(58:31):
to do a segment after that intro segment's already peaked
really good, really good This week in Ben and Skin
Show history got a few things, but one was actually
mentioned about an hour ago on this show.
Speaker 6 (58:43):
We were at Choctaw doing our show, and you know,
in radio, there's a lot of ways to communicate with us.
We have the talkback app, which is the red microphone
button on the iHeartRadio app. That's great, you can send
us messages. But we used to have a text like
whoever the programmed actor.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Was at the time. There's there's been a few the
last couple of years. Whoever the program director wasn't paid
for a text machine and we would get text during
the show. Yeah, so you get used to that for
two or three years of having a text machine in
front of you, and then all of a sudden you don't.
So we're at Choctaw and we have some family fe
going on and this happened last one though it was
anyone got number thirteen on the list? Okay, but how
(59:21):
rare is it? In fact, I'll give you guys the
next song to try to figure it out.
Speaker 7 (59:26):
All right, coming up next, and if you know what
it is, text in we don't have a text coming
up next, just knock us off the text text into
another radio station and let them know.
Speaker 1 (59:44):
The really week day of it. Four men are doing
house work three minutes away from that next That's how
it started. That's how it started a year ago today,
that's it's only been going on for a year. Yeah,
that's great.
Speaker 3 (59:56):
Evon's life is the best.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
Yeah. There so many things just during that journey where
it's like.
Speaker 6 (01:00:04):
We don't even have that been kind of pauses right
here and if you know what it is text in,
we don't have a way too.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
We can't interact with you. Enjoy this music. Go to
the Facebook page of another station this week Convinced skin
Show history continues twenty nineteen. Some baseball talk. If that's
not evidence that he should be in the All Star
Game this year, I really don't know it is. And
also this is a little bit skewed by the fact
that he's been your shorting starting shortstop. He's done that too.
(01:00:40):
He's been here the sting bet the sharting shortstop for
a long time. I feel like the spectacular seems seamless.
I feel like you are like sharing something that you
maybe should have kept to yourself. Sorry, Elvis, I know
you told me that in confidence. Wow, Ellis is still
(01:01:02):
in the team God, and we're pushing it for all
stars and stars. We were talking all the Stars God,
July Sports talk. Yeah, hours, we go to you for
a second.
Speaker 6 (01:01:15):
I always loved this from I believe this is going
to be twenty twenty three. But Christina with the gojoke.
There was a nearby construction site. I guess it's common
when they had before they do all the.
Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
Excavation, just send a team of goats out there and
they'll just start eating up all the crap because goats
have goat stomachs. These goats banded together like the penguins
and Madagascar, they banded together.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Sorry, I mean that's technically a sheep. Anyways, I don't
know why I did it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
It's also an animal. Do you have any other animal
noises you would like to write?
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Christina, Hey, that would help the story along.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
I can't ask that there she isuse.
Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
I was wondering why they don't have a little hard
hats on them if they're helping construction workers out, if
they're on a construction site, they should have.
Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
You are on fire right now.
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
That's amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
You remember that day when we looked in there and
she was in tears of laughter, and it was because
it's just on a side TV.
Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
There was like some duck that was doing a slain dunk.
Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
That's why.
Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
Dog.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
The way that animals doing anything human like impact Katie
and Christina is something I've never imagined in my life.
I'm pretty sure I could find the one of her
getting to strike you up there.
Speaker 5 (01:02:46):
Just now.
Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
Have you seen the movie where the dog plays football? No,
let's watch it right now. Please, here's the cliff you
just mentioned and leave a talk back with their name,
their email address. What's going on in their corn bread?
Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (01:02:59):
No, go ahead, no, no, no, I want to know.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
We need to know.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
IT'SAA doing slam dunks.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
Their generation. It's amazing. It's Christina and Katy saw anything
involving animals. Dude.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
They gave him a little plush basketball and they grabbed
it and he lifted up on the little basket that
they made for him and he slammed dunked it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
It sounds hilarious to me right now, I'm thinking, that's hilarious.
What about that channel that just showed that monkey taking
care of that duck? You remember that, And they had
like a little tiny world they lived in. Monkey was
just looking after he had that live stream of Christina
just put a live streams of animals. So good. You
(01:03:42):
want to keep this going, Let's keep it going. I
got plenty more.
Speaker 6 (01:03:45):
Oh boy, Skin's got a lot of bad jokes and
his uh in his history next to nine one before
we get there.
Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
Thank you to our friends at the Chalk Taw Casino
and Resort right up the road in Durant, Oklahoma. Three months,
three millionaires. The giveaway continues. Your next chance to win
a million dollars is this Saturday. All you gotta do
is be up there at the Chalk Talk Casino and
Resort and Durant and play with your Chalktaw Rewards club

(01:04:12):
be there when they do the drawing. They do big
drawings all the time. They one hundred thousand dollars drawings
all the time. You just got to be there and
play with your Chalktaw Awards club card. But this Saturday
specifically is your next chance to win one million dollars. Now,
if you don't win this Saturday, you're gonna have another
chance in August. But that's just more reason to go
all the time, play all the time, rack up those
(01:04:33):
entries and then along the way, I have a lot
of fun. Got so much fun up there. I think
about spending a whole afternoon to that swim up bar.
How cool is that? Uh? They got great restaurants, They
have great fun that district area with the arcade and
the bowling alley and all the different things to do,
plus a night of poker or blackjack, just going on
to the wee hours with we men can't be beat.
(01:04:57):
Did Chalk Tak Casino and Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, just
ninety minutes north of downtown Dallas. Get away to it
all good and skin Show ninety one point Wondy Eagle. Hey,
this submit's brought to you by Rollertown Beer Works. That's
the brewery right there in downtown Frisco that Ben and
I are partners in, right there on Main Street. And
we've been talking about this. Kat mentioned it earlier. I
(01:05:20):
guess it's nineties night. We got nineties cover music tonight
live on stage, and tomorrow night it's Lost Shaker of Salt,
the Jimmy Buffett cover band, or I should say tribute
to act so great music all weekend long. We're gonna
have the beautiful game. All the matches that are going
on in the International Soccer Tournament are on our TVs.
(01:05:41):
And fresh local beer, great stuff. Enjoy it, enjoy our
food options, hang out with the family. We're very proud
of it. It's Rollertown Beer Works. But right now it's
time for this. Something's big. Having a good time with
this weekend.
Speaker 6 (01:06:01):
Been in skin show history, that's right, And I did
you know clips have been skinned and Christina at I'm not,
you know, flawless as a broadcaster. Oh, Kevin, I think
you guys know this, and this is what from twenty
nineteen when no one including myself knew what the hell
was going on. On the other hand, his kids are
(01:06:22):
now are no longer at the age where they're too
young to hear see, you know, they can follow their
dad's ladyship, saying right now here and see, so that
they follow their dad's leadership, they should get in line.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
So I think you can kind of put this on
Ben's stab. I want somebody to diagram that sentence. We
might want to replay that in the seven thirty segment.
His kids are not are now not young enough? How
you confused me? No, keep it coming. Seeing here. Yeah,
this is watching a wild water hose of a sentence.
(01:06:57):
It's just it's all over the place, and there's words
and say dumb crap all the time.
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
I let it go, hippy laugh at the end.
Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
There it's weird here and again, I still don't know
where you were going with any of it. We were
talking about Ben's leadership with his family. I think, on
the other hand, his kids are now are no longer
at the age where they're too young to hear see.
Speaker 6 (01:07:25):
You know, they can follow their dad's ladyship saying right
now here and see, so that they follow their dad's leadership,
they should get in line. So I think you can
kind of put this on Ben's dad. I think I
was saying his kids are now old enough that they
can hear things and see things.
Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
I think you were saying that, Kevin.
Speaker 6 (01:07:43):
If it's seven years ago, if you think about it,
you know, Grace and Miles at least are still pretty young.
Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
Yeah, it's just what I sound like when I try
to justify the frog thing. I've had a lot of strokes.
Oh man, oh man, Hey, that concussion he did he
was concussing. Okay, well, this wie always makes sense. Let's
go back to skin and you're gonna love getting a
(01:08:09):
little sneak peek at the entire inventory when you go
to Prosperford dot com. The whole inventory is right there online,
both new and pre owned. I know because when we
bought kids for my cars. You bought one kid a
new car, one kid got a pre owned car, and
they had done the research beforehand. Where were you getting
these kids? A new charity where you trading your trading
(01:08:32):
your kids for some cars, not the order most people
get in. They go in they most people have the
kids and then get the car. You got the car
and then had to go get some kids kids for
my car. It's tough deal man to deal that happens. Hey, honey,
I think these kids have pretty good avalue. I'd like
to take the ho e laning to work. Can you
get me some kids? This happened in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
We were at the ballpark, you guys to the time.
I was doing mornings and you guys were doing a
remote at Texas Live Radio. Legend Mike Reiner was there,
and I know that we were going to the ballpark
for the game. So a little day drinking had gone
on Are you done the morning, Joe? Okay, I was
probably two drinks deep at the time. Again, his name
(01:09:20):
is Mike Reiner. Okay, Mike Reiner.
Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Anything you want to say to our listeners before you
head inside?
Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
Ook.
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
I know it's it's tough. Sometimes you want to sleep
in a little bit. But let's let's let's get on
up there at seven am. We could use you in
the opening segment. That's the big, hefty one that we do.
I know, you guys get a little bit of a
cash brated first segment. He doesn't talk for a living.
Our first segment goes up twenty five minutes. Talk, thank you,
And a lot of people relate to me around here
in this in these hillsides Mark, I called him Mark Reiner.
(01:09:53):
Oh man, that's a tough thing.
Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
How much had you been drinking? A lot? A lot,
especially back in those days. I have always loved this
clip from the Ben and Skin Show, and I'm gonna
play it for you guys. Last night, I attempted to
do what Minie said could not be done, the splits.
(01:10:17):
I am horrible, I mean horrible. A lot of people
have been talking about whether or not you can do
the splits, and it's just taken over public discourse until FW.
Here's the audio of me trying to do the splits.
Roller down, have suits night. Who are the people that
are arguing that I can do the splits? I'm miscuedul
(01:10:40):
those people that they're and they're making such good points
that another side is like, hold on, no, no way,
hold on no, that's he can't do the splits. Cynthia
comes back from bray like everyone in Dallas is talking
about whether I've been just can do the splits? Go
way in on our poll w f A dot com.
(01:11:02):
It's so good. I'm just doing the splits, laughing like that,
eating butter. He got into the butter again, laughing and
doing the splits and eating butter. He again rogers, get
out of the butter. We're having rolls later.
Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
We need that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
Hey, guys, let's get serious. Yeah yeah, this is a
clip again this week Convinced can Show History where Ben
was doing some evaluation and he said he was thinking
about changing a little bit. Yeah, if you.
Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
Haven't changed as a person in two decades, that's weird.
I don't think that happens. Like you're gonna change emotionally
and as a person really have two days to change.
I haven't done it yet in twenty nine years, and
but yeah, I'm gonna try in the next forty eight hours.
I'm gonna try to change just a little bit. See
if it spice thinks up.
Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
What are you going to change?
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
I'm probably gonna stop wearing underwear, badass. It's the play
I need to change. You know what it is, bro,
you evolve? Ben had a weird point here. I mean,
(01:12:17):
what percentage of dates or relationships that go wrong leave
people with a happy taste in their mouth in any
ways satisfied? Like Okay, let's say crazy okay for me?
Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
For me?
Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
Like kat, He's just sitting there watching and he didn't
offer a better way to say it. He just he
just out loud his thoughts for it. I said, there's
got to be a better way to say that. He's
like a scout in a baseball game, just looking like yeah,
that that wasn't a good pitch. That was allowed myself
to introduce myself. Can I hear it again? Know what
(01:13:00):
it is, but there's got to be a better way.
I have just deleted it from maybe I can find
just move on, dude, Okay, I will not get it
right here ready. Dates or relationships that go wrong leave
(01:13:21):
people with a happy taste in their mouth, in other words,
or satisfied like okay, let's say it's got to be
a better way to say that a problem with it.
Good job, Ben, thank you. Let's go to Skinway.
Speaker 6 (01:13:40):
Kind of talked country a little bit out of nowhere
this week in minding skin Joy Street.
Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
I can't believe I watched Midway. I don't even know
what it is. It's just like Pearl Harbor Attack and
what that led to? So bad? How are you doing
on the best show in television? To Bear? He said,
I'm starting, I've finished season three. I tell you what,
I'll watch mid tonight if you get caught up on
the Bear. It's just so heavy. This is going to
take a little work. But he sounded crazy when he said,
(01:14:06):
I don't even know what it is. It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
I love it so much.
