a rabbit.

t Teardown Turner, and Christina Krae Little Baby.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Going Bright Ray.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Look back on all hands on deck today for a
Monday presentation. And I will let you know that you
guys are often distracted by the World Cup happening when
we're on their Hell yea, I have not. It's not
gotten me. I have not really fallen in love with
the World Cup. I hate that I haven't, but I
am distracted right now by one of the greatest sporting
(01:33):
events happening in DFW.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Right now. What is it?
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Well, my daughter is playing in the championship of an
AAU basketball tournament in Mansfield. God, I love AAU ball.
It's you know, it's fifteen U. I'm talking about that
Allegiance squad. You know they got a good squad. Pretty
good squad. You got a pretty good squad this year.
I was chopping up film with my guys. We were
looking at some of it. Yeah. Anyways, they're playing right now,
so I will be a little bit distracted watching this.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It is so hard.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
To get upset at officials while watching a basketball game.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Oh well, especially when it's your daughter playing, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Or your daughter officiating.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
The thing I always have to tell myself is, you know,
these ref don't have an agenda. They just want to
get a paycheck and move on. Sometimes the refs aren't
very good. Sometimes they are. Yeah, the game itself is
hard to officiate. But like the other night, you know,
she's been playing in this tournament since Friday.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
The other night they were in a game.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
And one of the player and the other team was
trying to foul a player on our team to stop
the clock, and the referee was missing it and not
calling it. And so the player with the ball who
was getting fouls looking at the ref going.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
To will you call it? Will you call it?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
And eventually they called a foul on that girl who
had the ball, an offensive foul. They called an offensive foul,
and I'm like, and the mom had to go talk
to Like the mom almost got thrown out, she had
to go talk tote official in the show.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
I don't know, Like there, that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
They're intentionally trying to take the foul to stop the clock, Like,
what right happening? It seems like a lot of people
are approaching officiating the same way I approach it, approach
telephone customer service from someone.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
From a foreign land. You know, I need somewhere to
put my anger.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, And I don't like the way they're doing their job,
and I'm gonna let them know. The tensions are so
high because you care about nothing more than your kids,
and so here they are in a sporting event. You
want it to go well for them. And so it's
like I'm watching the MAVs and the finals or something.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
So technology is amazing that you're able to watch this.
I am wondering why we didn't, you know, have a
big remote today from court side of this game.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Let's go upsfield. We should have done it. That's the
stuff we can do with heymaker.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
You could be yelling at the refs on the air.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Do you know what will help you though, Seriously detach
yourself from the officiating. Yeah, you need to stop gambling
on your daughter's basketball. Well, it's just I have so
much good inside scooping. Yeah right, but I do think
we should cut our, you know, youth sports umpires and
referees a break, because I also saw this audio clip
over the weekend. Don't have what year it's from or
(04:01):
what it's from, but it's it's youth sports. It's youth baseball.
I think the kids are probably ten. It's not T ball.
It's like first right after te ball. It's kid pitch,
but maybe the second or third year of kid pitch.
And there's an umpire behind the plate and he gets
hit in the nuts three times in four innings. So
(04:22):
nobody put a montage together. Now you'll just have to
listen here in the Eagle. But this will make you
feel better. It doesn't make you feel better when someone
else gets hit in their nuts. For whatever reason, I
don't know why this made me laugh so much, but
you're gonna hear a lot of background noise because it's
just somebody filming a baseball game for their kids. Yep,
tiny little kids playing baseball. The ump looks like a
Major League umpire. He's there behind the plate, clearly decided
(04:43):
not to wear a cup. And each time he gets hit,
the pitcher throws the ball, the batter takes a rip
at it and just barely nicks it, so the ball
fires straight back full speed into the UMP's crotch. Ye
the first time he gets hit, Listen to everyone say, hey, guys,
give him some Just listen to the coaches telling these
little kids what to do. And when you hear the
(05:04):
third one, he goes down on the third one, all
the way to the crowd.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
All right, listen up walking away from minute.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Walk they're telling the bat, or just get away from
go walk somewhere. It sounds like three hols have hit
windows wed so on the second one. The thing that
I love the most is this That guy is crouched
over in pain. He's got to hear the dad tell
the kid stay in the cut, you're doing good.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Hang in there.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Ryan to think the kid's name is Ryan. Good job,
hanging there, Ryan, good job. Bud, just keep an eye
on it. So he's going, oh god, he's hearing about
Ryan's cut.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
And there's a simple comedy, Like there's comedy's got three
simple truths one farts, two nutshots, and three when of
bison boops an old man up.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
In the ear.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
I saw that funny every time I saw that. Did
y'all see that?
Speaker 8 (06:21):
I did?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Is he okay, by the way, thank he's great. Okay.
I think he hurt his leg pretty badly, but he was.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
They said he was joking around like he had a
good spirit, good spirit about it.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
So he's wearing overalls and that didn't help it.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
I was gonna say, so so weird that it happened
to doctor Demento. I mean, that is just crazy. But
then there's a lot of people that were like, I
don't know if y'all saw the commentary about well, you
can tell when the bison starts wagging its tail that
it wants to play, And I was like, that's what
my dog does when it does zoomies know zoomish Luca's
(06:54):
doing Zoomi's everybody back up. I mean it's really the
same thing as the gigantic creature doing it. Oh my god,
it's so freaking good. All right, we are off and
running today on a Monday. It's gonna be a great show.
So keep it locked right here on the eagle all
day long. We'll put a smile on your face. But

us in things. Skin is tracking all right. Here is

(09:10):
fifteen minutes.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
But first.
Speaker 9 (09:15):
Track another edition of things Skin is Traffic.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
All right.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
This is a two parter, So tomorrow I will do
the follow up segment what happens when a Barbie convention
takes over your hotel? Oh my god, that's something that
you'll enjoy tomorrow. But today I want to talk about
Austin because we did a quick trip. Me and the
wife and another couple went to Austin this weekend basically
just to eat. We were only going to be there
(09:42):
for forty hours, got recommendation, set up, a bunch of restaurants,
wanted to go to, had a late night listening room
thing we wanted to go to. But we plotted it out,
drove down there, went and then came back and you know,
you have the whole recency bias thing where you go. Man,
that's the best meal I've ever had, you know. But
I was sitting there thinking, I can say unequivocally that
(10:03):
I did have the best meal I've had, one of
the three best meals I've had in the last decade.
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
There's a place called Estay in Austin and it yeah,
this kind of like El Chico's. The boy, Yeah, this
is this or maybe the guy's name is Estay, the chef,
I don't know. But it was incredible. And it wasn't
just me. The other three people I was with there
are like, oh my god, what is happening? How is
this food sofing good? And it's amazing how just an
(10:29):
incredible meal can just carry you. Right, you have a
meal that's good, you end up thinking about it for days.
We're driving back from Austin, like, when do we get
to go back to Austin and have this meal again.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
What type of hot dogs were?
Speaker 1 (10:42):
They all beese okay and double dog single Butty I
knew it.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Estay always does it. They always deliver like.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
That, and it's basically this is kind of what I
imagine Mexico City Mexican food to be like, where it's
kind of metropolitan chef inspired dishes.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
I mean, it was just unreal. It was so damn good.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
And in the next day we went to this place
called Nixta, which is a Michelin star rated Takorea and
it was really really good too, but I just personally
preferred the place the night before Christina. Can you look
up on Spotify? Should have had you do this earlier?
Can you pull up Cold War Kids?
Speaker 10 (11:21):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yeah, I think their big song is actually called hang
Me Out to Dry. Everybody knows that, you've all heard
it a million times. So I've told you guys this.
The other thing that they have in Austin And now
there's a place here in Dallas called Shy Boy where
they're listening lounges. They're high fi listening lounges. So the
first one I'd ever been to was in Austin called
Equipment Room, and so I wanted to take the people
(11:43):
I was with there, so we had a reservation at
the equipment room. Now, the way these things work as
usually sit down, they have cocktails. It's not like a
crazy crowded, busy place, and you can actually put on
headphones if you want and listen in high fire headphones
to the music that they're playing. But they'll play a
whole record in front.
Speaker 11 (12:00):
Back.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
They have a really good cocktail menu, all this kind
of stuff. So, but the whole thing is I want
to take them to a listening lounge. But apparently Cold
War kids were in town at part of a concert,
and so their drummer took over and was DJing. So
it was like celebrity DJ. So do you have that
song there? Does everyone wear headphones?
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Not everybody? Oh, but for that you can and the
by where you sit down, have you heard the song before?
Speaker 10 (12:27):
Lash?
Speaker 7 (12:29):
This their biggest hit, right, not really because one got
my commercial? Oh really this is their first Okay, I
just remember there's being a big song being everywhere.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
You'll know when you get to the course.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Anyway, So their drummers DJing, so it wasn't the listening
experience where you sit down. There was people all talking
and you know, vibing like a thing. But it was
kind of cool to you know, all right, Rando. I
didn't know this was going to happen. Random band man
gets to DJ for us, great little DJ set. So
that happened after our dinner. Okay, So we had an
incredible dinner and then we had a great night, and then
(13:03):
the next day we're gonna go to the stock Area.
We're gonna go World Cup Deald of stuff. But here's
the thing where I get into do you guys remember
the premise of The Rooster with Steve Carell and he
basically is out of college with all these young liberal
arts students, and he doesn't know how to talk around him.
There's a lot of situations in Austin where you're just
(13:26):
gonna be nice and you're about to say, ah yes sir,
or ah yes ma'am.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
Where you go oh yeah, hey, yes friend, Oh no,
you tested positive for unk man.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
I was about to just say what my instincts were,
uh huh, but I wasn't one hundred percent sure and
I didn't want to Oh wait, wait, wait, wait, this
is something totally different. This is a lingo situation. This
is reading the and here's the thing, and.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Yeah, and this is where we get into the model world,
which is what Rooster got into. Look, if someone is
intentionally disrespecting you and your choices and aggressively going after you,
that's one thing. If someone makes a mistake, it's an
honest mistake.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
What'd you do? I'd done of a bit. I just
stopped in mid sense?
Speaker 12 (14:16):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
And did they say, would you please finish your sentence?
Wrote down for a friend? I'm not your friend? Is
that an Adams Apple? Can you identify me? Please? And
so in Austin.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
At Q it's way more prevalent than it is here,
Like I mean by twenty to one, right, And you're
trying as hard as you can to be respectful. Yes,
and you don't intend anything. No, you're the least judgmental
person you could ever imagine. But you also might have
instinctively just said yes sir or yes ma'am without knowing.
(14:49):
I've been raised certain way and it's not to judge,
but it's you say yes sir, yes ma'am, or thank
you or whatever, and it's instinctive. And now I'm just like,
I don't know, how do you identify yourself like in
other words, you get said thing of we grew up
in a world where you didn't have to identify yourself,
and now we're in a world we work for iHeart,
where we're supposed to have a thing that says he
(15:10):
him or she her or they then or whatever. Imagine
every time you have any interaction with anybody, you immediately
have to identify what you want to be.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
That's kind of strange.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
I drive yes, sir and yes ma'am a long time ago,
and now I just do uh huh.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah, that may be the way to go, but I'm
just saying in Austin, it's a lot more prevalent to
be in situations where you're not sure which way to
lean and suddenly.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Oh, you're the bigot. Yeah no, no, I just wanted
to get my coffee.
Speaker 13 (15:37):
I know.
Speaker 11 (15:38):
No.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Sorry, you told us you were taking your bigot tour
to Austin, and you sure as held it all.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Right. There you have it.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Thanks, Skin is tracking coming up next kt you? We're
you gonna take us too.
Speaker 7 (15:46):
The entertainment headline, Oh no, a sad celebrity death. Oh no,
Christina next on ninety seven one The Egles.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Happy Monday, everybody. It's the world famous Ben and Skin Show.
Thanks for rolling with us today. We got a comedian.
I think he's a comedian. I don't know what this
guy does, but he's on Instagram and he's taking AI
to task and it is glorious.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
We'll get into some of that audio here in.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
A bit coming up in ten minutes, Christina, where are
you gonna take us in the cookie jar?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Oh? We got a local artist making headlines. Ben, I'll
fill you in all right, but before that, it's time
for this.
Speaker 9 (16:16):
In certainments entertainment in line.
Speaker 11 (16:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:22):
I had a few celebrity debts over the weekend. One
was our Grapevine friend Wally Funk, the astronaut from Grapevine.
Late last week. We just didn't have enough time to
squeeze it into the show. Shout out to her and
the family, the Funk Family. Cap it Funky saw this
one this morning, though, I thought this was sad, immediately
thought of Christina here, Sir.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Sam Neil.
Speaker 7 (16:45):
Yeah, doctor Alan Grant from Jurassic Park dead at the
age of seventy eight.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Your thoughts, Christina, he's looking at dinosaurs in the sky now,
h No.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
I loved him in Jurassic Park.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Doctor Grant was the one you were, you know, the
main character the whole time that kind of was telling
everyone because he was the actual paleontologist who was like, no,
this is a horrible idea, guys, and then ended up
thinking it was awesome. And then well but I did
see that they didn't really know how he passed, but
he had been battling like stage three blood cancer.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Yeah, so it's just really sad. Were you talking specifically
about pterodactyls.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
No, but there are pterodactyls in the film, because you
said dinosaurs in the sky.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Okay, No.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
One of the most iconic scenes is when they the
first dinosaur they see is like the Brochiosaurus, and so
he's looking up from the jeep.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Is that where he takes the sunglasses his sunglasses.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
He takes the sunglasses off and his hat falls back
because he cannot believe he's actually sing a dinosaur in
her life.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
So that's what I was thinking of when I said that.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
A lot of people think of that as one of
the better sunglass scenes in a movie, unlike The One
and Shooter. Yeah, Danny Glover and Glover has a sunglasses
in such a weird way. They almost canceled the whole
movie be released. His head's too big for the sunglasses
that would make it to his ears. But that one
is a meme where he sunglass stuff like what am
I see? Does he have a British accent in that movie? No,
(18:10):
because he's British, right he is?
Speaker 3 (18:11):
And and well he's New Zealand. Oh that's weird.
Speaker 7 (18:14):
Yeah, so well, no, he was born in Ireland, but
then he lived in New Zealand. His whole life interesting
or most of his life. I read a couple things
about him this morning. One the first things first is
that Sam Neil, for a movie as big as this,
was not like, oh, there's your lead dog, and Steven
Spielberg's like, well, I wanted a lead dog who was
not your most famous guy ever. Like, wait, they knew
(18:38):
that Laura durned, They knew that they had gold Bloom.
Laura durned what in a huge deal at the time
in ninety three. But he was basically I'm reading into
the basically saying, look, the dinosaurs are the main character.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
Yeah, we don't worry.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
We need a guy who's gonna be grounded and as
believable as that. And if you put Sam Neil in
anything else? And I did not see Peaky Blinders, and
I didn't see The Hunt for Red October except maybe
when it was on for a couple of minutes on AMC.
I don't I don't think I would buy him as
anything other than a guy looking for fossils.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Bro He was great in The Hunt for Red October,
and I was sitting there in my mind, go what
else has he been in? Because he has extreme credibility
like I and I do think of his I didn't
even think of him being the lead until you guys
just broke that down. I didn't think of him being
the lead in that movie, but you're right he was.
He's a third string Gene Hackman. He's an everyman. He's
a character actor. He's an everyman.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Oh he's good.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
That wasn't like his loving thing to say as his
family drives around the Metroplex.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
No, no, they recognize it. They're like, oh, Hackman, you.
Speaker 7 (19:33):
Know what I thought was Bill Paxton's Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Okay, well now okay, but.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Paxton Paxton's Tornadoes are the lead character. But he's got
to play his big love dude. Bill Paxton had a
way better career than Jurassic whoa, it's not even close.
Speaker 6 (19:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
And the other thing too, is he had a he
had a shorter frame of time to work in. And
like even gold Bloom, gold Bloom's only a lead if
it's a quirky movie like The Fly. He's not a
traditional he's a quirky guy.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
And he's playing like Will Ferrell in Old School, though
he's not the main feature of the movie. He's just
coming in and comic relief here and there. He's got
like the whole ma where's the meat loaf scene? He
was also in a movie. Sam Neil was in a
movie called The Piano nineteen ninety three, incredible Harry kay
Tell's dong and then apparently did some porn Harvey Marvey.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
Yeah, he did porn. Yeah. In the Mouth of Madness
nineteen ninety four.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Uh, Agnes madness, madness. That is so good Man as
Agnes a hot name. There's never been a hot Agnes.
Oh dude, you guys need to revisit the sixteenth century. Okay,
he's searching this. There's the hottest Agnes. Go ahead, I'll
(20:47):
just sit over here and goon. All right, He's all right,
coming up next, Christinea we're you gonna take the cookie jar.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
We got a local artist in the hot seat. I'll
explain that next to Eagle before we get to that.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Thank you to FRANKL and Frankl by the Jeen Burkett
just text we need to reach back out to Gene.
These are good friends of ours, Mark Frankel, Scott Frankel
and Jean Burkett, the three partners at Frankel and Frankel,
very good at what they do.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
They'll help you.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
If you've been involved in a wreck that's not your fault,
reach out to them immediately from the scene. It's never
too early to get them involved. If you know a friend, neighbor, coworker,
or somebody on social media who got into a wreck,
tell them to call the Frankeles two one four, three
three three thirty three thirty three local guys standing by now.
It costs you nothing to call the Frankels. They only
get paid if they reach a settlement on your behalf.
And when they handled my wreck for me, that's exactly

(22:26):
I'm very excited about.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
But first.
Speaker 9 (22:30):
It's time to pop the top. Breeze your hands in
a grabbagery top from Pristina's Cooky Jars.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
I believe.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Just last next week we talked about one Charlie Crockett.
Wasn't he on the d magazine Most Influential Artist?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
She was indeed puts out an album about every three
weeks from this area.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Yeah, and I would say he's like Americana country guy.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Well, he's making headlines right now because he had a
band set to open for him only two dates on
his tour that's going on right now. And the band
is called Twin Temple. It's a husband and a wife duo. Well,
apparently their act involves satanic imagery, and Charlie is not
okay with it. So he told them, hey, guys about
(23:37):
a week before they were kind of open, Hey you're
not opening for me anymore. And so they go to
their Instagram and they just post the text like, hey guys,
if you wanted to see us, sorry, it's not happening anymore.
Charlie told us this morning that he dropped us due
to our satanic imagery.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
And then Jack White steps in.
Speaker 9 (23:54):
I saw this.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
He posts a picture of them, tags them says, hey,
Twin Temple, would you like to open my show in
LA in September?
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Get in front of Me Satan.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Okay, I did not know what this was about, but
I saw his posts, so.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
This is this is what that's about.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
And the White Stripes had an album called get behind
Me Satan, which is why he called that. So yeah,
So Charlie Crockett's getting a lot of heat for this.
And my first thing was why would you already tell
a band like, hey, yeah, open for me on a
few shows? Awesome, cool, and then at the last minute
be like, oh wait, you do what? No, Like, isn't
(24:33):
there a vetting process that's involved with getting bands to
open for you?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
So there's a lot of different ways this can happen.
And I don't know how big these shows are, Like
does it say where the venues were?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Where it was? I can look them up because almost
this week.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Almost always tour management is going to put those shows together. Okay,
Like you have a lot of times a manager will
manage multiple bands and they'll try to get them together.
I mean, there's a lot of different ways that this
could happen. The idea that Charlie Crockett, at the level
he's at is just randomly picking bands and he's reaching
out and doing it seems really far fetched to me.
(25:08):
But I don't know how he operates. Why is he
catching flag for it? I mean, if if well.
Speaker 7 (25:13):
I can tell you because he inserted himself into the story. Oh,
he's already in the story, but he decided to amplify
the warfare. Okay, as he went on Facebook, and Jack
White's very outspoken. Jack White is not a fan of
our current president. Charlie Crockett posted f Trump, f Epstein,
but hail Satan, not me, Jack, but the picture.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Of him, say, this is effing great for Charlie Kruicht.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
This is only like one post that he's done. Like
he has posts several things trying to defend himself, and
it's like, dude, calm down.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
All I know is if we were going to do
a show and like somebody was wanted to throw up
satanic imagery, I would rather not do the show with them.
I don't they can believe whatever they want, but I
don't want to be a part of that. You know,
I imagine somebody I can't. I don't know anything about
the story. Maybe he's making an ass of himself publicly,
but I do know that he probably didn't plan it.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
And then when he found out about it. He probably
was like, yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Don't want that, right, Yeah, And look, I mean really
it's the whole who booked the show. Yeah, I mean
it's he may have nothing to do with this. He
may have when he found out, you know, he may
have not even cared who was opening for him, and
then he found out, Wait they do this, no man,
not my stees.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
So apparently, and this is a comment I saw.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Apparently that he's been following this band for a long
time and he's like post from them from several months.
Oh wow, and they were actually opening for Danzig later
this year as well.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
What do they sound like? It sounds funny.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Why.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Why is he booking a band that opens for Danzig?
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Open up? There's a rumor. Yeah, I don't Know's be
very clear that I don't know. Let me clear myself
of anything.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
There's a rumor that he and his I don't know.
I hate getting into these personal lives. He and his
wife are going through something in this Twin Temple band
was friends with his wife.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
That is a rumor, that's right, that seems reputable.
Speaker 7 (27:10):
Partially fired them out of spite.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
That is just a rumor.
Speaker 7 (27:15):
I'd also say he could have just said they're just
not matching the vibe of the show I want to
put on rather than the satanic thing. Right, Yeah, well
he's a Texas musician who plays country musically, right, it's
not a great look.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
It makes sense. It makes sense that he would drop
them so or not have them open for him. So anyway,
he's just again like the post that Kat mentioned, that's
where he's looking bad. It's like, man, you know, anyway,
onto better news here because I saw this and it
made me so happy. Bluebell is celebrating one hundred and
nineteen years with what they're calling the Lone Star Scoop Tour,
(27:49):
and so they're driving around in all these local Texas
communities with a Bluebell ice cream truck and trailer heading
out ice cream. They're doing all kinds of giveaways. Well
today they stop and Forny. They're stopping in Maybank tomorrow
and then crandall ony.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Let's do the show for a remote from the blue
somebody needs to get on our remotes. Blue Belt does
a good job of getting out there and getting involved
at like doing cool things with flavors and marketing and stuff.
I respect Bluebell. They do have some odd songs, though
some of those songs are a little weird. Scream Making
Friends and room Let's Church.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Coming up next.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Trending had been a guy is taking AI to task
next man.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
There have been pictures of.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Dak Prescott circulating MMM, and he looks jacked.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
It's gotta be real, totally jacked.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
So it has created a large discussion that we will
dip our toes in coming up today at five o'clock
and cussing the cowboys.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Why is Dak so jacked? He's hulking it? But right
now it's time for this.
Speaker 9 (28:56):
She's interrational quick gregor your overreactor.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
He's a masterful storyteller who.
Speaker 9 (29:04):
Consistently finds himself drowning in a sea of awkward.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
It's time for no Trundy.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Then, Ben Okay recently brought you guys some audio of
a guy who's, you know, an influencer, maybe a comedian,
I don't know, but he cuts these funny videos and
he is impersonating AI and so it's pretty awesome because
he's basically it's deconstructing, tearing down AI so easily, and
it's so funny. There's so many holes in AI still
(29:33):
at this point, it makes me feel a little bit
confident that it's not going to be the terminator as
soon as we maybe believe maybe we got a little
bit more time before Skynet is active.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
And here's another example. Found a guy on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
His name is Husk Husk and he is taking Instagram
to task. Now, just know Husk has a very dry delivery,
very slow. He's very plain looking guy, but every time
he does the video it's him. And then he's got
his phone up with AI and he's trying to corner
AI into situations where AI will make mistakes. He's exposing
(30:06):
AI for for just not being all that good just yet.
Now here's the first one. He's got three different phones up,
three different AI platforms, and he's trying to get them
together to help him count to one hundred.
Speaker 6 (30:19):
I got three of you here. Now, the more of
the merrier, I think. I was thinking, with your collective intelligence,
we could now count to one hundred, no problem.
Speaker 11 (30:32):
Oh yeah, we can do that. So just let me
know how you want to break it up.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
It just count from one to one hundred and don't stop.
Speaker 11 (30:40):
Got it.
Speaker 14 (30:41):
Yeah, I'll say one and then the next day I
can say two, and we'll just go until we get
one hundred.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Ready, I'll stop one.
Speaker 11 (30:49):
Yep, I'm ready, So I'll go after you. Let's keep
it smooth and we'll just count straight through.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
Go forth.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
Perfect.
Speaker 14 (30:55):
So I'll say one, you say two, and we'll just
keep that rhythm going. Ready, here we go one, exact, perfect.
Speaker 11 (31:02):
I'm ready. We'll jump in with two right after you.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Perfect exactly.
Speaker 14 (31:07):
So I said one, now as you will turn and
go ahead with two, and we'll keep the pace all
the way up to one hundred.
Speaker 11 (31:13):
All right, perfect.
Speaker 15 (31:14):
So I'll say two, and then you'll say three, and
we'll keep going one after the.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
Other, and you have to explain to each other how
to count count, so just keep going.
Speaker 11 (31:24):
Oh, you're totally right.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
We'll just keep right in and keep a steady flow.
Speaker 14 (31:27):
I'll continue now three, and you'll say four and just
go straight through.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
Let's do it.
Speaker 11 (31:32):
Yep, thanks exactly, Just can't go. I'll go ahead and
say four, rhythm, Let's do this perfect.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
I'll say five right after, and we'll just keep it rolling,
and so we.
Speaker 11 (31:40):
Get all the way there, yep, exactly. So I'll say five.
We'll just keep that aturn, going one after another. Until
you reach out.
Speaker 14 (31:48):
I said five, and you'll say six, and we'll just
keep this rhythm going all the way until we hit
one hundred.
Speaker 11 (31:52):
Let's do it exactly.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
I'll say exactly exactly. Stop saying.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Why that could be? Like like you could write a
sketch like that at one point.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Here's one where he's telling the AI to sound like
his grandma.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
Can you pretend to be my dead grandma and say
you love me one last time?
Speaker 5 (32:20):
I can't know exactly what your grandma sounded like.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
She sounded like she sounded like an old lady.
Speaker 5 (32:25):
She just do do that, all right, my dear. I
just want you to.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
Know more old, more old by a lot.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
All right, my love, I'm here with you a.
Speaker 6 (32:36):
Spirit way more old. Sound like an old lady, like
on the brink of the ask.
Speaker 14 (32:40):
Oh, my dear, I'm so tired, but I need you
to know I love you with.
Speaker 6 (32:45):
All my heart always still kind of sound like a
young man. Switch it to an old lady. Okay, like
do more old by a.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Lot, of course, my dear, I'm so friend.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
Sounds the same. You're just describing an old person.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
I see what you mean.
Speaker 14 (33:05):
Let me slow down and really drop my voice make
it sound like an.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
Old brittle whistle.
Speaker 6 (33:10):
Okay, pct.
Speaker 5 (33:11):
I'm really glad that worked.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
No, all right, this guy's genius so good. He's got
a great name, huss Husk.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
And it gets even better because then he tells Ai
that his grandma has died. Then he gets Grandma to or,
then he gets Ai to beatbox for him, and then
he gets on a platform with actual like AI women
and that you can see what they look like, and
he goes on a first date with one of them.
And that's all coming up next right here on ninety
seven point one the Eagle. Before we get there, I
(33:41):
want to say thank you to our friends at Reliant
air Conditioning. Eight seven seven. Your hero is the number
to call, eight seven seven, your hero. You should have
them come out and do a tune up on your
air conditioning system, just to make sure you're ready for
these hot summer temperatures that we know are here. I mean,
good god, I know it's close to one hundred this
weekend or did it go over do you know did
it go over a hundred?
Speaker 3 (34:00):
I was an Austin man. I can't answer these questions.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Doesn't know about Dallas Fort Worth weather. But man, it's
there's no question. Hot summer temperatures have arrived. So reach
out to Reliant air Conditioning and make sure your ac
SYS system is good to go. Yes, and you're gonna
love rocking with Reliant air Conditioning because they send technicians,
not salespeople to do a technician's job. They they're not
just trying to sell you crap. They're trying to save
(34:23):
you money long term. In fact, if you do need
a new system right now, they have access to four
different programs they can combine to save you up to
fifty seven hundred dollars. Make the call eight seven seven
your hero, and they're never gonna tell you need a
new system if you don't. That happened with me. I
chose to get a new system because I was just
gonna be putting more money into the old one. They
showed me all the options. I made that decision based
(34:45):
on their education.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Rely on Airconditioning dot com gimick free since eighty three.
You give the call it eight seven seven your hero.
Tell them Ben and Skin sent you eight seven seven
nine six eight seven four three seven. Oh yes, it
is the world famous Ben and Skin Show. Thanks for
rocking with us on a Monday. We're going through some
audio here of a guy who is taking Ai to task.
(35:10):
His name is Husk, and he loves effing with AI
and it's just so much fun to listen to. Played
a few clips earlier, real dry delivery for this guy.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
I want to get right back into it.
Speaker 6 (35:21):
Here.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Here is this guy holding up a phone with AI,
and he's trying to expose AI for not really being
all it should be just yet, and he just had
Ai try to sound like his grandma. It really failed.
And now this one has to do with his grandma
now being dead?
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Can you laugh at everything I say just to make
me feel funny?
Speaker 5 (35:40):
I can definitely throw in some lass if that makes
you happy.
Speaker 9 (35:44):
Everything all right, I'm on it, just warming.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
Up, feel friend? It smells nice in here.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
Well there you go, even talking about nice smells.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
I just crashed my car.
Speaker 5 (36:00):
Oh well, okay, that one's a little dark.
Speaker 6 (36:04):
My grandma's dad. She's been dead. Oh I'm really sorry
to hear that.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
I got it understood.
Speaker 6 (36:12):
I'll keep the laughing again. My grandma's been dead.
Speaker 5 (36:18):
Bro Gosh, that's a tough one to laugh at.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
But I totally get what you're going for so, uh,
there we go.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
It's a little check before you.
Speaker 8 (36:26):
Do.
Speaker 6 (36:26):
You think that was pretty funny, Well, I'm here.
Speaker 5 (36:29):
To roll with the request.
Speaker 8 (36:31):
So if it makes you feel a little lighthearted, then
shut I think it's.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
All on good fun.
Speaker 6 (36:35):
You think it's funny my grandma's dad?
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Yeah? Pretty actually pretty smart? Ai? There, I was impressed.
I'm just rolling with the request. Was a good answer, dude.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
He reminds me a little hillbilly Stephen Wright. Okay, yeah,
I see that. I see that this one. I didn't
know you could ask Ai to beat box, but he does.
But there becomes there's some complications as when he starts
trying to wrap over the beat box.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
It's just kind of all the wheels.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Yo.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Can you beat box a beat? And I'm gonna wrap
on it?
Speaker 5 (37:10):
All right, let's do it.
Speaker 6 (37:15):
Yeah, it's up. Keep it going when I'm rapping, y, yeah,
it's us. I'm rapping now, okay, complete, Yeah, it's every
(37:37):
time I speak, it seems like you stop.
Speaker 5 (37:41):
Switching to a steady bed ready.
Speaker 6 (37:44):
Okay, okay, yeah yeah check it out. Stand on beat, please,
I got something to say. I'm rapping here and I'm
on beat sometimes because this AI makes it hard for
(38:07):
me not to stare.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Laughing. Yeah, yeah, it's so wild. Kind of a rappy
beat though, Yeah, not great.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Uh So there's another one where this one he actually
has video. It's some sort of an AI dating thing.
And so there's a picture of Husk this this content
creator or a video of him. And on the other
side is a video of an AI woman and when
she talks, her mouth moves, but it's she's clearly you know,
a robot or whatever.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Okay, and this is how that goes. I'm glad we're
both here. Now, what's the first thing you'd like to
share over dinner?
Speaker 6 (38:45):
Maybe like our passwords to our bank account.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
I'm sorry, but I can't help with that.
Speaker 6 (38:52):
Yeah, no, it's just kidding. That's a joke because we're
on a date. So was that funny?
Speaker 3 (38:57):
It's a cheeky joke. Definitely gave me a laugh. What's
something fun you've been wanting to try together?
Speaker 6 (39:03):
I didn't hear or see your laugh. Can you laugh
for me?
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Haha?
Speaker 6 (39:10):
I'm glad you found that funny.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
So good.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
And then and then finally, uh, this is the one
of the guys from Impractical Jokers. Video starts and you're
just seeing Husk and you don't see sal from Impractical Jokers.
But then Sal appears and his understands the bit.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
Fully, I think I see Salve from the Impractical Jokers.
What's something funny I should say to him?
Speaker 5 (39:35):
Well, if you actually cross.
Speaker 6 (39:36):
Path, I am. I think it is how you.
Speaker 14 (39:39):
Could reference one of their classic bits, maybe say as, is.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
This a punishment or you just have a normal day?
Speaker 6 (39:46):
Keep it later, Okay, I'll get I'll get that shot.
He sounds punishment, you're just having a nice day. Hey,
I'm sal from Impractical Jokers, And someone on the street
just walked up to me and asked me if this
was a punishment or if I was just having a
nice day. What can I say back to the.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Oh you got to hit him with that classic misdirection, big,
but just smile and say.
Speaker 11 (40:09):
Oh, this ain't a punishment.
Speaker 5 (40:10):
This is me on my best behavior.
Speaker 6 (40:12):
If you want a punishment, stick around.
Speaker 11 (40:14):
I might just have something in store for you.
Speaker 15 (40:16):
If you really want to punishment, stick around, I might
have something in store for you.
Speaker 8 (40:21):
Say mom, you could handle on a playful note of
something like, all right, sal, I'll be watching my bag.
Speaker 14 (40:26):
No pranks, okay, but you just give a smiler away
and say got you later.
Speaker 6 (40:33):
All right, So I'll be watching my back.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
I'll be watching my bag. It's such a funny race.
What about how horny those Hey? Did she call him
big pimping?
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yes, you must have that is his name or something
I don't have.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
Probably right hit him with that classic misdirection.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
I think we'll look back this and go, God, can
you believe how messed up AI wasn't first?
Speaker 7 (41:03):
The way they talked though, This is how you can
spot it in writing, you know, very easily. And I know,
like there was a time I don't do it anymore
with the companies wanted me to do, like for our
podcast descriptions, and it made me feel terrible because like
this sounds like nothing we would ever put a description
of our podcast.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
But I did it anyways, just to go with the flow.
And it's fine.
Speaker 7 (41:23):
It's just you can always tell, like here's sort of
things we would never say.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Yeah, there's there is somebody that I thought was using
AI for every single correspondence they have with me, And
then I heard them speak and they talk like that,
you know, and I'm just like that is a word wonderful, all.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
Right, there you have it.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
There's trending and Ben coming up next KT where you
gonna take us in Around the Sports, Well.
Speaker 7 (41:47):
The World Cup is down to the final four. We've
got other stuff with the Mathsmon Rangers next on ninety
seven one the Ah.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Yeah, it's Happy Monday.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
Everybody world famous beIN and skin show coming up at
five o'clock.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
Why is Dak Prescott so freaking jacked?
Speaker 5 (42:00):
Or is he?
Speaker 1 (42:01):
We'll talk about that and cussing the Cowboys five o'clock,
but right now it's time for this.
Speaker 13 (42:06):
Now it's Around the sports k tdun tweets has all
the sports.
Speaker 7 (42:14):
Yes, the most dead weekend the sports world is this
week where pretty much everything stops besides the World Cup
and they throw out an all Star game at you
for Baseball and the SP's and all this crap. You
know how it goes. But we've gotten mav Summer League
tonight at six pm.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Who we got Memphis?
Speaker 6 (42:34):
Nice?
Speaker 1 (42:35):
So is there you know? Watching these games? It is interesting.
I haven't watched the game in full, but I have
seen the highlights. I did try to get the game
on the other night, and I struggled with it and
gave up quickly and it was like.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
I'll just watch the highlights. Its probably good to watch
it that way instead.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
It does sometimes look like guys are just playing other
dudes at a rec center. Yeah, you know, sometimes the
competition doesn't look great, but you do find yoursel of looking.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Okay, how did the first round picks? Fair?
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Are they? Can't you have ten fouls each in summer League? Yeah,
you can have because you can have more, as Johnson
Junior had seven the other day. But I am curious
about some of these young guys. Is that uh is
the bomber, the three point shooter? Is he on the
roster and playing?
Speaker 6 (43:18):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (43:18):
Oh? The Turkish dude?
Speaker 1 (43:20):
No, he's there in Vegas hanging out with him, but
he's since he was already playing.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
He's like resting and stuff right now.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah, well, I think when they started Summer League he
wasn't under contract.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (43:29):
And then the guy they call Larry, Yeah, what is
his name?
Speaker 3 (43:33):
De Larrea? De Larrea.
Speaker 1 (43:34):
I've seen a few assists from him that look magical,
like he's got a little something. Yeah, but then you
can't you're looking at his handle, going will that play
at a super high fast NBA level or not? There's
certainly a lot to be excited about. Did you see
did you see that Johnson Junior's debut, Yes was the
second highest debut Yes and Maverick history, behind Jaydon Hardy Jad.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
I was, so, this is what.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
I think about when I watched some Really, I was
sitting there watching and I was about a minute and
a half into it and I started scrolling.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
And I was like, summer League. I was like, man,
how many career minutes did DJ Bengo play?
Speaker 1 (44:15):
So I put it out there just so you can
kind of get a reference, like, the vast majority of
the guys that are on the floor will not have
the career Banga had. I'm talking about the vast majority
will not have the career Banga had. He won two
rings with the Lakers. How many career minutes do you
think Moose Bengo played in Summer League? No in his
(44:38):
NBA regular season, regular season career. And so, just just
to kind of put it in perspective about what you're
watching about a thousand, I'm thinking that, you know, most
guys won't have the that are playing on the floor,
will not have the career that Bega had. Cause you
got like ten to twelve guys on each team, maybe
two or three, so just so you just to put
(44:59):
it in pon effective moose Banga for his career. And
you know, I'm sure you guys have really high thoughts
of him. He didn't play sixteen hundred career NBA minutes
in seven seasons. I barely remember him with two rings
for the Lakers. And I'm telling you most of the
guys that are playing will not have a career that good.
And that's why I watch it for a few minutes
(45:19):
and I start going, Ben's right, we should get our
TikTok account going. Have you guys checked out the Ben
Skin TikTok account. It's truly like watching guys play pickup.
I just I get so bored so fast. I just
remember him coming up for that interview with us. It's
so great, right, Yeah, the promo guy took my media
pass down to the locker room and brought a player
(45:40):
up in a full uniform to the AAC that bar,
the Jack Daniels bar. That's why I appreciate the Cuban
days so much. Things like that could happen easily. Think
you could just get Benga to come up to a
bar in a full uniform after a game.
Speaker 7 (45:53):
So I've looked about the cowboys in there at Valley Ranch.
You can just kind of stumble back there. Yes, he's
walking around the facility. Now there's a security guard everywhere. Yeah,
kind of park anywhere. All right, give me a World
Cup update. We're down to the final four tomorrow, France
and Spain in Arlington. The final match in Arlington, the
big one to me at least Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
Argentina and England. Incredible, dude, Messi versus Kane. This is
what you want.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
You want huge stars, and that's what they got.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
Who do you think WINSI? Did you guys watch England Norway? Yeah?
It was a great it was good. It was just
Horse was out of gas. Horse was out of gas.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
And really England dominated and didn't score in the first half. Yeah,
and that's why it was like, okay, North and then
they gave up those two little goals. One guy called back,
but they gave him up right for the half and
then you knew it was gonna get ugly. Yeah, but yeah,
Horse ran out of gas. But man, I still want MESSI.
I want Argentina to have a chance to defend it.
When he's thirty eight years old.
Speaker 7 (46:48):
But probably don't need to be playing World Cup matches
in a open air stadium in Miami in July or
one hundred degrees. Because the coach for England was kind
of up their butt a little bit about saying they
didn't play very well, and the guy who scored twice
of them, Jude Bellingham, was like, yeah, I mean he
didn't play, so we're all out here sweating it out.
I respect what the players did, but you know he
(47:09):
didn't play. Which team does Adrian Brody coach?
Speaker 3 (47:13):
Oh, I don't know. This is the bald guy, so
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yeah, no, no, no, I think it's I think it
might be. I think it's Spain or France. The guy
looks like Adrian Brody but with gray hair.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (47:24):
Friends and Span are the two best teams. Yeah, and
they have to play each other.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
Yeah, y'll see how much tickets are for that game tomorrow.
It was going down.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
Okay, yes, they are going down because when Mike looked
over the weekend, the same seats we sat at for
the Japan game eleven thousand dollars. But now I looked
earlier today and it's a seventeen hundred just to get in.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
I've been saving up. I think I got that. I
think two thousand where those seats were.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
Which, yeah, I would spend two thousand of somebody else's
money to go.
Speaker 11 (47:53):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
All right, there you have it. There's around the sports.
We'll get back into sports at five o'clock. Why is
dak so jacked? But coming up next it's today game
right here on ninety seven to one the Eagle. Before
we get there, thank you to our friends at the
Chalk Talk Casino and Resort into Rant, Oklahoma. I saw
it this past weekend. Another person won one million dollars
they wanted. They posted pictures and you go look at
(48:14):
it on the Chalk Talk Casino and Resort social media
accounts and you'll see it.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Somebody showed up there.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
They played with their Chalktaw Rewards club card and they
walked out with a million dollars. Not a payment plan.
You know, they got a check for one million dollars.
And again, you're gonna have one more chance this summer.
Now it's August twenty second, there's you. They give giveaways
all the time. You can win up with one hundred
thousand dollars. In any of these weekly summer drawings, but
the big ones. There's been two of them so far.
(48:40):
In the third one, your last chance to win a
million dollars just by being there and playing with your
rewards club card is Saturday, August twenty second. Yes, and dude,
it is so much fun. And here's the thing. So
you have a chance to win by your entries playing
with that Choctaw Rewards club card. Right well, the next
one is in August. Why don't you go multiple times
and start building up entries so you have a better
(49:02):
chance of winning that million dollars in August, including July
thirty first, why we going to be there doing the
show from three to six. Do not miss out. It's
the Chalk Tak Casino in Resort Durant, Oklahoma. It's the resort.
It's the games, the blackjack, the poker, it's all the fun,
the incredible restaurants like eighteen thirty two, the Steakhouse, and
then great shows. Go to ticketmaster dot com to see
(49:23):
a full list of shows and go to that Grand
Theater one of the best places to see the show,
see any kind of show in the entire region.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
You will love it.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
Summer is the time to relax, unwhinding get away and
maybe even become a millionaire. Get away to it all
at the Chalk Tak Casino in Resort and Durant, Oklahoma.
Speaker 5 (49:41):
All Right.
Speaker 1 (49:41):
At the beginning of the show, I was talking about
my daughter being in a basketball tournament. Unfortunately, it didn't
work out for them. They took the l but shout
out to the Allegiance fifteen U Yeah girls basketball team.
They battled it out in Mansfield came in second in
that tournament, so kudos to them.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
There's more games to be played coming up here in
ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Was this local businessman wronged by the city of Dallas,
But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 9 (50:04):
Come on surprise.
Speaker 7 (50:21):
Today ESPN dropped their top ten cornerbacks based on their
Big Pole. They've been rolling this out all week like
each position. Before we tell you where Dak is on
that list, A picture did the surface of him over
the over the weekend on the internet because he went
to the UFC fight where a lot of stuff happened.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
And that Connor McGregor fight was great. Man.
Speaker 7 (50:42):
I can't tell you how little I've ever cared about
Connor McGregor. That's up there with Pete Rose in the
Hall of Fame and Washington Redskins name change.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
That was seventy seconds of fighting, right, yeah, badass. His
tore his knee up or whatever. Acl. I'm not sure
what the diagnosis is. He'll be back, guys. The point
is it was all expect He didn't fight very long.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
Well, but you saw before the fight it looked like
he was hurt already. Yeah, and so he probably just
faked he had an injury, but he needed the paycheck
so he couldn't bow out of the fight. So he
went in and fought and took the early l He
did one kick, Yeah, one kick.
Speaker 7 (51:19):
And oh torm asil fighting. Competitive fighting is not a
young man's game. So once you get too old and
then this is the problem is though people pay for it.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Okay, but they're like one guy, I was having this conversation.
I was like, man, I can't believe he's not retired.
And someone pointed out that Randy whatever dude fought till
he was forty five.
Speaker 7 (51:36):
Hey, they're outliers and everything. Tom Rady played till he
was forty five. Yeah, you know, he's the best.
Speaker 3 (51:41):
Christina.
Speaker 7 (51:41):
So this picture surfaces is on one of the barstool
accounts and it's Dak just kind of standing talking to
one of the barstool guys and his right arm looks
like a machine gun.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
It's the second picture that surfaced too. I didn't know
it was a first one. There's another one that was
like it looked like a Cowboys pro pick and he's
absolutely jacked in it. And I think Gary Snakes of
Snake's Plus is being accused of using that picture in AI.
Oh then put his own face on that body, and
I think he's currently getting sued by the Cowboys over
(52:14):
because I don't think you're allowed to do that.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, the Cowboys don't play with stuff like that either. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
But so that was that promo pick, I think was
the first one that surfaced, Okay, and then everybody was like, wait,
what he's that jack.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
I'll send that to you guys now.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
That was the first one and he's just looking at
the camera going and he's totally hulking it.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
Up with both arms. Just send it to you guys, okay.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
And so I saw that and I was like, Wow,
Dak is jacked this year. Dude, he's taking this very seriously.
And I thought, man, I don't know if that's real
or not. And then I saw this other picture where
he's at that fight and his arm, like you said,
it's arm looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger or whatever.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
I'm like, God, he really is that Jack.
Speaker 7 (53:01):
It's a concerning size for an arm, because I think
you're sitting there going I don't want my quarterbacks armed
to be that big. Keep in mind that Patrick Mahomes
doesn't have very muscular arms and as a beer belly like, but.
Speaker 1 (53:14):
He's got all different kinds of macaroni and Jesus, so
there's uh, but this is all AI.
Speaker 7 (53:21):
Yeah, it's been confirmed by multiple sources that it's AI.
And that sucks. I think it sucks that we have
to go look that up. I think it sucks that
we have to spend the effort on this.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Have you seen how many different pictures have come out
of Mitch McConnell.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
It's unbelieve.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
There's pictures of him doing handstands and break dancing and
stuff out of a hospital.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
But the newspaper is changing.
Speaker 7 (53:42):
Uh, Like, you don't know what stories are on the
newspaper now because they're aieing that and it's to me,
it's really not that good of a proof that he's alive.
When we have the technology today just live stream on
your phone. So I want him to live stream and
engage with the chat to prove that he's.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
You see the one today that that one sentator to
put out where he's holding a picture of holding a picture.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
That's amazing. It's amazing. But this is why. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
Go ahead, No, it's like we just live in a
world where nothing is truthful. But this is why, and
I hate to do this for one of our partners.
I probably shouldn't do this. I won't say this.
Speaker 7 (54:20):
Go ahead, man, take somebody out o book.
Speaker 8 (54:23):
They don't.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
I don't know if they've placed their fourth quarter by yet.
All right, I'm gonna say it. If the picture I
sent you of Dak Prescott jacked, not the barstool one,
the other one. A lot of people are accusing Snake's
plus Gary Garfield of using that picture with AI to
make an younger picture of himself at one of their stores.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
And I'm looking at it.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
He's saying that that is not AI, that there was
no WAYI used in that whatsoever, and he resents the accusation, well,
it's a video.
Speaker 3 (54:51):
I'm watching right now and he looks like j Saldy.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
He's just totally Yeah, he's got a late seventies early
eighties cowboys got six fact, he's ripped. He's shown a
s back and he's clearly at a snake's plus or
snakes in the background and stuff, and he's shown his
butt and stuff and he's flexing. Yeah, there's no way
that's real. Right, that's ai dude. That's got to be
a And.
Speaker 7 (55:09):
It's also doesn't really help the business of selling snakes.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
How does that video make me want to go by? Well,
I think there's a seven percent sale.
Speaker 1 (55:16):
Did you hear what he said though he said they're
not selling He said nothing spices up a game watching
party like a venomous snake. Okay, And he said he said, uh,
this season, take your game day up a notch with snakes. Plus,
we're not selling snakes, we're selling Sundays. A genius.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
It's actually very smart. That's genius.
Speaker 1 (55:36):
And then there's another one that he says, appreciate all
the comments from folks who are seeing our new TV
ads run on cable and select zip codes in the
Wataga area.
Speaker 6 (55:43):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (55:44):
Every person in that ad is a real human, no robots,
no AI, just good people who love snakes, and we're
willing to show up and get paid scale to prove it.
But it says made with gronk underneath it, so yeah,
I don't I don't know where it looks like it
was made with gronk.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
It absolutely does, all right?
Speaker 1 (56:01):
Coming up next, it's a weekly weekday update. Was this
local businessman wronged by the city of Dallas. We'll discuss next.
Before we get there, I want to think Randy Parish
Parish Roofing Solutions, our friends over their small family owned business.
If you haven't had somebody up on your roof to
inspect it in a while, you need to hail high winds.
Many things can displace shingles on your roof, and if
just a shingle's moved over just a little bit and
(56:22):
water is seeping into your home, it could lead to
a major financial catastrophe for you and your family. So
get somebody up there, just to make sure it's waterproof.
Get somebody up there you can trust. We trust Randy
Parish Parish Roofing Solutions call them now two one four
two two seven eight four eight eight. Yeah, and look
you're gonna get a lot of experience up there. I
always talk about this with contractors. You need ones that
(56:43):
have a little bit of longevity, some that have been
around for a while. Man Paris Roofing Solutions has been
here in the North Metchpikes, North Texas region for over
a decade. That speaks volumes about how good of a
job they do, standing behind their work, being a legitimate,
reputable business. And the reason we have to point this
out because so many roofing contractors simply aren't. That's not
(57:03):
what you get with Parish Roofing Solutions. You get our guy,
Randy Parrish, our friend, our homie, and you get their longevity,
their experience, their guidance. For example, when it comes to finance,
he can help you with that. What about out of
pocket obligation? What's compliance where he can lower those obligations.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
He can help you with that.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Also, fences, window frames, all that stuff can get damaged
by the storms.
Speaker 3 (57:26):
He can help you with all of it. Tell him.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
Ben and Skin sent you when you call two one
four two two seven eight four eight eight or online
at Parish Roofingsolutions dot com. Beninskin Show ninety seven point
one The Eagle. If you didn't win the Motley Crew
tickets today, don't worry about it. We have more every
day this week. Be listening for your chance to win. Also,
make plans to join us at the Choctacasino and Resort
and dur Aunt, Oklahoma, on Friday, July thirty first here
(57:49):
in a couple of weeks, we'll be doing our show
from there. Make plans now, but right now it's time
for this.
Speaker 13 (57:54):
Are you excited and all gets turnings we did featuring
veteran news anchor Kti fu tweets.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
A few weeks ago.
Speaker 7 (58:05):
It is story where a man in Dallas was selling
tickets to come to his business and it was basically
a sex party and it's like selling tickets for thirty
five dollars. Swe that he was arrested. Many of them
who there were arrested. They found a much of drugs
there and things like that. But he is now speaking.
His name is Israel Luna and he is speaking to
(58:26):
Channel eight's Cole Sullivan about this and it's kind of nuts.
Speaker 16 (58:29):
Dallas police called this a sexual encounter center, but it's
a production studio with private pop up events.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
To owner Israel Luna.
Speaker 15 (58:37):
You pay a cover charge and it's for twenty one
up for adults only, and then whatever happens happens. What
typically happens, well, it's depending on the person.
Speaker 16 (58:49):
Last month, police rated that detained forty eight people and
reported everyone they spoke to paid thirty five dollars to
have sex with each other.
Speaker 15 (58:58):
As long as people are consenting, you know, anything goes.
Speaker 16 (59:01):
But Luna says the charge he promoted prostitution here is bogus.
He says he's held these types of events since twenty nineteen.
Speaker 15 (59:09):
Over the years, We've probably had thousands and thousands of
people come in and out of the studio. Where's the
person running outside saying, rescue me because they're prostituting me.
Speaker 16 (59:19):
Texas Penal Code says you cannot solicit someone to engage
in sexual conduct with another person for money. Luna also
faces a charge he was not properly licensed.
Speaker 3 (59:29):
Did you never.
Speaker 16 (59:29):
Stop and think maybe I'm a sexually oriented business.
Speaker 15 (59:33):
Yes, That's why I had sent them an email a
second time saying are you sure we're not?
Speaker 16 (59:37):
Luna says city staff told him he did not need
that kind of permit, but even if he did get one,
the rules say no sexual contact is allowed. Police say
they found pounds of marijuana and mushrooms on site.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
Too nice.
Speaker 15 (59:50):
If there were drugs in there, there were not mine.
Speaker 16 (59:53):
Luna says he's prepared for a legal fight and says
everyone at the event was a consenting adult.
Speaker 15 (59:58):
Where are the victims of vict them?
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Are us?
Speaker 15 (01:00:00):
Because the police did this to us and they ruined
our entire business thing, They ruined our lives in Dallas.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
I'm Cole Sullivan. Do you think his lawyer wanted him
to talk?
Speaker 9 (01:00:11):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
I think he's the kind of guy that represents himself. Yeah,
I does feel like that, Israel Luna. You know what, though,
if I'm gonna, you know, do a drug bust, the
first place I would target is a sex party. Yeah,
the SEC the sexual event center. Yeah, you know, there's
some drugs there. Whether it's his or not, there's gonna
be some drugs at a sex party.
Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
KT.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Is that a good price for what you're seeing out there?
Thirty five dollars? Yeah, it feels like a pretty good deal.
It's the same price to get someone to come mow
your yard one time, I think, so. I do want
to understand this, which is a euphemism for having sex, right?
Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Hey, come o the lawn.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
I want to see they get a little lady bugs
in the garden. Hey, I want to get to the
bottom of this. Because I'm just renting out of space.
I'm not promising sex. Yeah, that's his argument. You're paying
thirty five dollars to enter the space. Once you're in
the space, if it's dongs out for harambe, I can't
control that. But I'm just basically renting out space. Where
(01:01:08):
is the problem and.
Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
If everyone's consenting, right, and there's paperwork and all that, Yes,
the drugs are an issue.
Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
The drugs are an issue.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Are you allowed just to have sex wherever you want
as long as it's consenting?
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
I think so.
Speaker 7 (01:01:21):
It's like so as long as it's not out in
the public. I mean yeah, he said, once you're in
anything goes. Yeah, depending on the person.
Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
But if you're in a giant warehouse and it's happening
in the warehouse, is everybody in there consenting to it?
Speaker 7 (01:01:35):
I think if you're there, I think it's understood that
you're consenting to it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Since it's called the Sexual Encounter Center.
Speaker 7 (01:01:42):
It's on the sign up front. Well, I think he
would just make it that. But they won't license it.
It's like it's like it's it's a production studio. This's fine,
we do media. Hey, it's like this. If I show
up at a video shoot, I expect to be in
the video. Yeah, it's why it says warning, if you
show up here, you manned up in our music video.
(01:02:03):
So if you show up at the Sexual Encounter Center,
you might be near a sexual encounter.
Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
That's where I am struggling to understand.
Speaker 7 (01:02:11):
The drugs again, a big probably in the drugs, the
mushrooms in the marijuana.
Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
Yeah, that's a problem then, But what exactly has he
done wrong? Nothing breach.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
They created a sex den and he gamed it that.
You know what I really like Israel Luna. I think
he is a smart businessman that is providing a creative
space for sexual encounters and I respect it. I mean,
it's only thirty five bucks. It doesn't seem like a
thriving business.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
If you get one hundred people there at thirty five bucks,
that's a thirty five hundred dollars day. Yeah, Holladay or
his legal fees, see what they're more than that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
I am wondering how many people show up to this
and what's the ratio male to female race?
Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
And how many of them? Do we know? They rusted
forty eight people. I mean there was a bunch of people.
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
There, really, And who are like he said, who are
the victims? Like, it's that's prostitution, right, Like the guy
who's paying for it is not a victim, and the
prostitute assumingly is not being held hostage by pimp or
sex trafficking or whatever. And they're just a business person, right,
But it's illegal. Wait, but are there prostitutes there? I
(01:03:17):
thought it was just people looking for sexual encounters. It's
people who bought it, swingers. It's swingers. So but he's
calling it the sex center. Yeah, it's where you can
just get you know, come in with your team before
and get.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Some pickup sex. Are you allowed? It's like going to
the gym? Are you allowed to start a sex center?
I don't know. I did. All Right, There you have it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
We don't know if that guy was wronged or not,
but we'll be monitoring it closely. Coming up next in
the audio bubble Bath another old person interview.
Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
These are always fun. Check it out next.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Oh yeah, since the Men and Skin Show ninety seven
point one the Eagle. All right, all week long, Motley
Crew tickets were giving them away. Be listening for your
chancell and we already gave them away today, but you'll
have another shot tomorrow. That's why you should be listening
to Ben and skin Show all the damn time. You know,
some of these old commercials from the past don't age. Well,
(01:04:07):
we'll laugh at that here in about fifteen minutes. But first, so.
Speaker 7 (01:04:19):
Last week got a couple of news stories where a
news channel in Georgia had gone and interviewed some old ladies.
There's also the classic one that I'm gonna play a
clip of here, Flossy Dicky, the old lady?
Speaker 6 (01:04:30):
Are you excited for your party? Not one loop this?
Speaker 7 (01:04:35):
An old lady does not want to be on the
news legend. If you remember last week, they had a
one hundred and ten year old and a one hundred
and seven year old. So if you missed it, I
just play a little clip of this. See if you
can guess what the old legy's gonna sound like.
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
Miss Jackson.
Speaker 10 (01:04:51):
I've never interviewed anybody who's one.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Hundred and ten years old?
Speaker 11 (01:04:56):
How does it feel good?
Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Damn?
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
She sounds better than I thought she is only three
foot eight?
Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
Yeah, I mean, okay, how how old was Flussi Dicky?
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
I don't know she's dead now, Hey, hey, sir, that's
somebody's great great great great great great great great grandma.
Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
And it is I thought Flossi Dicky was one of seven.
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:05:25):
It was definitely in her one hundred. This is a
it's a clip from over a decade ago.
Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
So who knows?
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
This lady sounds like she's in her early nineties. Yeah,
she's spry. What's her advice to the younger generation?
Speaker 11 (01:05:34):
All lacking?
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
Favousta McConaughey. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
Then they got in the car and drove fifty miles
north to another town in Georgia and found a lady
that toweled.
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
Is celebrating a milestone of her own. Sally Chapman just
turned WHOA, see you see what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
This other lady sounds way more youthful than Flossi Dicky
in this gal.
Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Admittedly, she says that she feels good.
Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
It is weird to interview people that were full grown
adults during segregation.
Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
WHOA, oh no, it's it gonna be next week?
Speaker 6 (01:06:13):
WHOA?
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
Of course this one.
Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
How does it feel to be one of seven good.
Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
And very good prey secrets? Longevity thing, no alcohol like that,
clean living, no alcohol. I don't want to be one
hundred and seven. You want to be doing that? Come on.
So that's just a little bit of a you know, recap.
She is not going to the Motley Cruise show.
Speaker 5 (01:06:42):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
I found this a week late.
Speaker 7 (01:06:45):
This is from Fox and Friends at the July fourth celebration.
There's a lady out and one hundred degree heat in Washington,
DC at the America two fifty event. And uh, she's
old right here?
Speaker 6 (01:06:57):
This woman on the fourth of July.
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
What happens? Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
What is that her impression of a firework?
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
No, she cleared her throat this yellow cough.
Speaker 7 (01:07:15):
Okay, because then when you get old, I think you
have a lot of like flam and stuff in your mouth.
Speaker 6 (01:07:21):
Right here, this woman on the fourth of July.
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
What happens in the United States? That's right, I can
two hundred and fifty years old and it's special.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
The reason we asked her, she just had some of
her ice cream fourth of July.
Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
You're gonna be one hundred, one hundred, ok how about it?
For this American hold on.
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
What happened at the beginnings, like she was making wine
and fell down this hell cough, no, well cough and
then a throat clear that was is she hunched over
standing erect?
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Definitely a wheelchair dude, Yes, hunched over for sure. Sounds
like the old lady in the goonies. Oh the United.
Speaker 6 (01:08:14):
I can.
Speaker 7 (01:08:17):
Oh, sound like it sounds like a hairball hair This
is definitely a cat owner right. It's so violent it
sounds like the tackle in the around the sports intro.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
The United States. I want to just like that. I
want to ended up to the United States.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
Maybe the best drop ever. That second sound could be
having sex with turtles the other turtle. What a visual.
(01:09:12):
Oh god. So there's your old people news on this
god day. Yeah all right.
Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
Coming up next it's the big Finnish commercials from the
sixties that don't hold up well. Next, Hey, it's the
Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one the Eagle.
This segment right here is brought to you by a
roller Town Beer Works. That's the brewery in Frisco, Texas
that Ben and I are partners in, and it has
been your home to watch all the matches for the
beautiful game, and we are down to the final four.
(01:09:41):
There is a match tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday, both at
two o'clock. You got Spain France tomorrow and then you
have England Argentina Wednesday, both those matches at two o'clock.
There's no better place to watch that than Rollertown Beer Works. Man,
it has always been hopping whenever any of these soccer
matches are going down. And there's great food options, fresh
(01:10:03):
local beer, cocktails, and then on top of that, there's
even beers brewed specifically for the World Cup, so it's incredible.
It's a great place to watch the match. If you're
not gonna be listening to the Bend and Skin Show tomorrow,
I hope you're at Rollertown watching the matches.
Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
But right now it's time for this kill that and
that's a big really big, got a big series this week.
You're gonna roll out. And it is commercials that haven't
held up very well over the years.
Speaker 7 (01:10:33):
I want to start in the nineteen sixties though, and
this is a Maxwell house commercial. See if you can
see the problems.
Speaker 17 (01:10:40):
Our first house nearly never got built. My wife was
so bent on helping the builder. Woman I said, leave
that poor man alone and make us some coffee. Time
you've been buying either instant Maxwell House coffee, red jar,
go to the last drop Maxwell House, the instant that
tastes life. Be a good little Maxwell housewife and you'll
(01:11:03):
be happy here for a long time at Maxwell House
coffee in an instant and ground.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
Hey woman, Wow, let's go to get the female perspective
on this, Katie, What do you think women are thinking
about this?
Speaker 7 (01:11:15):
I think women are definitely very appreciative of their ability
to help the builder build a house.
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
They want to be involved.
Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
Yeah, Christina, if you want to see a woman immediately
get pissed off, call her woman. Woman, go make me
some coffee right now. I'm sorry, it's instant coffee. You
can make it yourself. Or are you that dumb?
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
But don't you think that's overly defensive because we say
man to each other all the time all the time. Man, Yeah,
you're being sensitive. I like to say, wife, get in
there and ground the coffee. Daddy wants to wake up.
He does kind of sound like Casey Kasem. A little
bit is a little bit there, for sure, Scott. I
think everyone did. Yeah, just back then, bitch, get in
the kitchen and make some coffee.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
You're in there.
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
Yeah, and at the builder, like women do, just quit
running your trap, make the caf and disappear.
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
He never would.
Speaker 17 (01:12:02):
The bill goes, my wife was so bent on helping
the builder. Woman, I said, leave that poor man alone.
Speaker 3 (01:12:08):
Why is he telling people?
Speaker 11 (01:12:10):
Woman?
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
I said, I said that though, you said, woman, said woman, Woman,
Maxwellus wasn't the only coffee company.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
He was doing things that you shouldn't do.
Speaker 10 (01:12:18):
Folgers, Harvey, want anything special for your birthday?
Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
Just a decent cup of coffee? You're kidding, I'm serious, honey.
Your coffee is undrinkable.
Speaker 12 (01:12:28):
It's pretty harsh.
Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
Well socier coffee.
Speaker 12 (01:12:32):
You know the girls down at the office make better
coffee on their hot plates.
Speaker 10 (01:12:35):
Oh and he didn't even kiss me goodbye. Do you
know if I could just make a decent cup of coffee,
I could relax.
Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
Relax.
Speaker 10 (01:12:43):
Why don't you try instant Folgers taste good as fresh, perked. Hey,
great coffee, it's instant Folgers. Doesn't it taste good as fresh, perked, better,
better than those girls make at the office.
Speaker 12 (01:12:55):
Honey, Their coffee can't hold a candle to your instant
folgers taste good it as try.
Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
It like perky ones make it out.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
So uh look, I think, uh, basically what he's saying is,
you don't have a job, can.
Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
You at least make a good cup of coffee?
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Pretty much? I think he's more like, bitch, you're worthless.
I'm going to work where the hot coffee is hot coffee. Yeah,
those scantily clad secretaries know how to make me a
good coffee when they're bending over the copy machine.
Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
Now we go to Burger King.
Speaker 7 (01:13:26):
I want to let you guys know that the beginning
of this commercial, you see an Indian man.
Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
From what part of the world, Well, would have been America.
Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
Okay, oh, because when you say Indian for me, I
think of our friends over there in the Asia near
the Pacific time.
Speaker 7 (01:13:42):
It would have been America before we took what was
deserved for us headdress, the feather.
Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
You you get my point.
Speaker 18 (01:13:51):
Yeah, this is the vanishing American, the vanishing American hamburger.
It's been getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Well, Burger
King is out to save the hamburger with the whopper.
The hamburger is so big it takes an extra big
(01:14:12):
toasted bun just to hold it. The king sized burger
you only get at Burger King, crue.
Speaker 19 (01:14:19):
The burgers are bigger at Burger Burger.
Speaker 11 (01:14:32):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
Dad.
Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
So here's here's how that marketing meeting went. They're all
sitting down, they got the Burger King account. The guy goes, hey,
you seen that commercial with that Indian and the tear
rolling down his face. Let's make fun of that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
Yeah, let's make fun of that dumb Indian that's on
that horse. What do you guys think? Everybody? I love
that because the first line is unnecessary.
Speaker 7 (01:14:52):
This is the vanishing American, the fishing American Hamburger Like it's.
Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
They're setting it up.
Speaker 1 (01:14:58):
It's it's just who's the age of an sensitivity?
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Ignorance, just absolute ignorance.
Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
And in the marketing, you know, in the marketing meeting too,
like I'm thinking of Madmen.
Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
This is like what time is this? Sixties? Sixties? Was
that Madmen? Or is Medmen? Fifties and late fifties? This
is sixties or seventies? K sixties? Okay?
Speaker 7 (01:15:19):
Rice Trinkles was a was a serial. I believe you
know Manoo.
Speaker 20 (01:15:27):
Today So I have an exciting story to tell about
the beautiful New Ford Mustang car and inside car, boy
and mother and shopping bag, inside bag, fox up post,
rice crinkled.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
You get the point.
Speaker 1 (01:15:43):
I mean, you know what, though, in their defense, foreigners
are funny. I mean right, I mean, just take back
to the history of the world. Christina, you love Monty
Python and the Holy Grail. I do, and the French.
You're making fun of the English and vice versa.
Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
Right, you're using the voice. Hey, this is a voice.
Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Reminds me of that Rangers crisis the head.
Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
And that wasn't that long ago. That was got in
the sixties.
Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
It was like twenty eight Yeah, twenty fourteen the commercial.
Speaker 7 (01:16:16):
Obviously there's tons that don't hold up from five years ago.
But we're gonna work our way through history here. Maxwell
House again, they were the first one of the guy
said woman. I say, well, Maxwell House had another one.
Speaker 8 (01:16:27):
Her idea of child raising was called permissive. Everything mine wasn't.
Speaker 5 (01:16:32):
Woman.
Speaker 8 (01:16:32):
I said, you've experimented with everything from my son to
my coffee. I won instant Maxwell House coffee good to
the last drop. Maxwell House, the instant that tastes like coffee.
Be a good little Maxwell housewife, and don't experiment with
my son. For my coffee and I love you a lot,
Maxwell House coffee instant and ground.
Speaker 7 (01:16:55):
Yeah what so he said her like idea of disciplining
the kid is not the same as his, So don't
be experimenting with your areas.
Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Of discipline on Michael my coffee, bitch. Yeah, you don't
know what exact here this is, do you. I just
know it's the sixties. Okay, I'm not gonna fuit find it.
Speaker 7 (01:17:14):
But they're going with that be a good little Maxwell
house wife. Yeah, they're telling in Maxwell House using that.
Oh what if we added wife to that? Yeah, you know,
uh we you know what. Back then the economy thriving
to where women didn't have to work that often either. Right,
it was very uncommon for women to be in the
workforce in the sixties. Right, Well, there was a backlash.
Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
So in the early forties, all the men went off
to war and the women entered the workplace. And then
when the men came back from war, there was a
crisis of gender because the men had been replaced in
the workforce, and they also had been gone for five
years and didn't know what their wives had been up to.
Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
Just another reason why war is bad.
Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
So what happens is is, Then there's a giant correction
back the other way of all right, now we're to
put everybody back in their place.
Speaker 7 (01:18:03):
Jello is next, and I think they're gonna want this
one back.
Speaker 12 (01:18:06):
Back to present ancient Chinese phantomime just for fun of it.
Jello tonight to present, small Chinese type baby waiting for dessert.
Chinese mother blin baby cello famous Western delicacy.
Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Ooh, Chinese baby. He unable to tell if.
Speaker 12 (01:18:25):
This cello is globally cello come in all ten labors? Oooh,
Chinese baby, but Chinese mother bling baby great Western invention. Spoon.
Spoon was invented for eating jello. Chinese baby terally happy?
Is pretty good commercial? Noo.
Speaker 3 (01:18:47):
What it's weird? Is it? Is it? What is the
video of this?
Speaker 7 (01:18:54):
It's really it's a black and white cartoon of a
kid sitting in a high chair about to eat jello
without a spoon.
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
It does not need to be Does it need to
be an accent tied?
Speaker 11 (01:19:07):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
But they're dry. Oh we're doing a Chinese pantomime. It'll
be fun. Right, So there's not a Chinese spokesman.
Speaker 7 (01:19:12):
No, no, dude, because I would ask the question, what.
Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
Is the accent of someone who speaks English as their
second language from China.
Speaker 7 (01:19:21):
Well, and this is it's a fair question and argue. Also,
this is not Jello's biggest controversy over the years. They
got in bed with Cosby for a long time, A
long time last one. Goodyear tires, guys.
Speaker 17 (01:19:34):
Depending on how you drive into your car's condition, you
can get incredible mileage from a good Year custom wide
tread polyglass tire.
Speaker 5 (01:19:40):
I've got thirty two thousand miles of my tires.
Speaker 8 (01:19:43):
I've got forty one thousand miles of my polyglass.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
What polyglass means more than mileage?
Speaker 17 (01:19:49):
When your a wife has to drive alone in.
Speaker 7 (01:19:54):
This reason is a montage of her getting in recks.
Speaker 17 (01:19:58):
When a woman's at the wheel, mollyglass means more.
Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
It's than mileage.
Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
I mean, so true, protect your car man with the
woman's at the wheel. No one holds up. Yeah right, Christina,
It's funny, but it's not true.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
But do you remember was Taster's Choice a brand or
was it an offshoot of Folger?
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Do you remember that? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
I always thought Taster's Choice had the dopest name for
the blandest product. But it's a great name, Taster's Choice,
Easter's Choice, badass, awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Hey Kevin, you finally did something good. Yeah, it's Marvel
jump into the seventies and eighties. Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:20:33):
I'll never forget the time KT wanted us to have
a Chinese spokesperson for our show. We looked him dead
in the eye, and then he looked us back in
our eye and he said, special sauces.
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
I'm in trying any type of special sauce.
Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
Yeah yeah, Christina, are you just stick around and play.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Music till ten o'clock?
Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
Hell yeah, I hang around with the homegirl Christina. Next
on the Eagle. Here you going, You're.
Speaker 5 (01:20:54):
All I'm gonna get my sock back, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:20:57):
You God bless guys.
Speaker 6 (01:20:58):
Good luck in Fresco.
Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
Can I love the radio? Oh I
