Speaker 1 (00:00):
This woman on the fourth of July. What happens.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
I heard with with Ethic with I show you're gonna
ruling it. We except we're similar free pursuing it. Bundled
out Shaw Shank through the sewer.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Kid.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Now we're chilling that day, Eagle.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, we're doing it. Three o'clock on the dock. Got
a habit for my house, a goat status. How we'd
starting to get Cratit shows that enough multiplied like a
rabbit due end zone.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Out break it up beat the habit. I'm on mag
out with her friends. Rocket on the radio. My boy's
bed talking on the radio. It's time to to this Falck.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Call it we go KT.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Christine Us, Oh yes, hello and welcome on a Tuesday
to the world famous Ben and Skin Show. Ben Rogers,
Jeff skin Wade, Kevin k t Teardown Turner and Christina
can't read a.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Little baby going bright Ray Yeah, bake going back.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Christina last night was at a huge event here in
Dallas Fort where she's gonna give us a book report
on that.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
In the Cookie Jar at four o'clock.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Hell yeah, And I saw a lot of photos out
there of Mike Siroy being in the background of a
TV shot, like people find him no matter where he is.
Uh huh, all right, look, so was at this and
they're freaking out about it. So did Mike get a
talent fee to go to whatever you went to last night?
Speaker 6 (01:38):
I need to check with him, but I can't say
we were on Netflix last night.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Oh yep, let's go amazing your friends and neighbors or
what show were you guys on. I will find out.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Okay, you'll find out. Uh, We've got great stuff to
get to. I know because I was in the pre
show meeting. The first thing I want to get into
today involves my wife and the word blow. Let's go
whoa Christina?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
What she does? Drugs? No?
Speaker 7 (02:09):
No?
Speaker 5 (02:10):
If this is what I think it is, I've always
thought that that term was inaccurately portrayed.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Unless you're doing it wrong. Right, you're nice, right, But
well we'll see. We'll see where this goes about a
hair dryer?
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Right?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Maybe, okay maybe? Uh So I want to say this.
My my daughter played in a basketball tournament in Mansfield,
and I had a lot of work to do, and
so in both cases I did the very risky thing
rod every time we went out there, I let her drive.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Oh, I can work on my phone. God, what are
you a daredevil?
Speaker 5 (02:46):
And every once while I'd look up from my phone,
I'd be lost in the work I was doing. I'd
look up, like, why are you accelerating into break lights?
Like you can see in the car in front of you, right, Like,
you don't have to just do whatever the car directly
in front of is doing.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
You can look at the other car in front of that. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
No, I mean you have to have tunnel vision when driving.
My wife can just feel me immediately start to tense up,
and before you can say anything or mega sound, she
just goes.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
You know, you could have driven a whole I get
a lot of that.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
But we also we're also givers and we want to teach. Yep,
And how is she going to get better if I
don't ever be her driving instructor? You got to get
her reps? Yeah, gotta get a rep you time, right? Yeah, now,
you know. But it's kind of like golf. As you
get older, your body is less flexible and you have
(03:36):
to start adjusting your swing.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Same with women drivers.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
As they get older, their mind and their body change
and they need to adjust to their surroundings. And get
some reps in on their driving. Christina, do you get
nervous when you're in the car with a lady driving?
Speaker 6 (03:50):
Well, I was just amazed that I make it to
work safe and sound every single day.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
You guys are.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Talking, Yeah, we talked about this before you show up.
We talked about building an uber to work into your deal. Yes,
you're too valuable to our show age.
Speaker 8 (04:03):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I would love that I bought you a new Dart pass. Hey, man,
come on, dude, that's not cool. Hey, that very much?
Was I caught you a delicious ass? Yes? Okay.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
So my wife I get a call from her right
when I'm about to leave and had to work, and
she goes, I just had a blowout. Oh and she's
driving on the way. Hey hey, and so was it?
She said? She said, she said, And the recap of
it is what gave me concern. First of all, the
(04:36):
minute she said it, I was terrified that she may
have just stopped in like the fast lane of the
toll way and put the hazards on.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I'm like, where are you? Are you safe right now?
Speaker 5 (04:45):
And so a man explaining to her what to do
after you get into a situation like that and she
was totally safe. But then if she recapped the story,
she goes, I heard something. I clearly ran over something.
And I was like, well, what if it was loud
enough for you to hear it?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Now? Did you not see it?
Speaker 9 (05:06):
Now?
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Keep mine in that same patch of road. I want
total the vehicle because I ran into something.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
But that was different. That was really good with me.
That was not my fault.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
That was a trick, by the way, And so anyways,
I thought, Okay, here's the deal. I am not the
handiest of guys, you know, Like she's the handyman around
the house. She has a toolbox and I don't. And
so I'm like most husbands would go, hey, can I
come get you right now? I should race out there.
I was like, hey, wish I could get there. Unfortunately
(05:38):
I'm late for the show. I got to get to
the studio. I'll send the light farms giant. Now can't
really help you in any way if I was there. Anyways,
I don't know if I've changed a tire for thirty
three years or something like that. And so I was like,
did you call roadside assistance? She said, yeah, they're on
their way, but it might be an hour.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Oh and which one the one on the back of
the driver's license or like Triple A members.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Were Triple A members. But there's also there's also the
toll way thing. Yeah, you can call it on your license. There,
they'll be there in ten minutes. What's that they'll be
there in ten Oh?
Speaker 10 (06:09):
Really?
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Does anybody have a decent carjack in their car? It's
always those little rinky deep ones that looks like it's
gonna fall and die. And dude, keep in mind, she's
in an amazing Bronco from Prosper Forward nice and it's
got souped up wheels and tires on it, like really
difficult to mess with those at all. It was dead
ass flat, and so I was like, man, I'll be
(06:34):
thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
I didn't really have anything. I didn't have anything to offer.
I mean, it might not be it might be our
last interaction.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
Like I don't know, like if she's gonna make it
through it or if she's gonna finally leave me over
my ineptitude, but it might be our last interaction. It
was kind of like Frank the Tank where they're like, Okay,
you know, keep keep on trucking, you.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Know, like we may never hear from ever again, and
it's some vibes your way.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
Yeah, And I was just helpless to assist in any
way because I'm not a real man.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, I feel that.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Man, if that happened to my wife, I would I'd
call edwin over and prosper forward, right, go hey man, Trish,
can you help? Earlier, earlier in the day, I had
walked into the kitchen to get some coffee and I
smelled toxic fumes and gas.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Now, she is so frugal.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
We have the stovetop that needs to be repaired because
the knobs fall off, and if our kids make something
or cleaning people are cleaning it or whatever may be happening,
because God knows, my wife doesn't need to clean it.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
She's busy by the pool.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
And so I'm like, I smelled gas, Like, we don't
know how to turn this thing off, and so it
could blow up our whole house. And so I googled,
like what do you do in a situation where you
smell fumes in your kitchen by your guy? And they
were like, call nine to one one immediately, and I
was like, really, it's like that, And I called my friend,
But my wife's so frugal. We've been arguing about this,
(07:59):
but she won't place it. Refuse us to replace it
because it's like five hundred dollars. I'm like, we're gonna die,
but you'll yeah. So I reached out to freak Jesus
and it gave me some valuable advice. And I reached
out to my buddy who's a fire chief, and he
came over to the house.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
So all good.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
So little crisis at the Rogers householding out on the
road today.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Coming up next, we're you gonna take us in things.
Skin is tracking okay.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
The whole world of sports is waiting to see what
happens next, and it gave me a flashback. I'll tell
you about right here on the Eagle. Before we get there,
I want to say thank you to Frankel and Frankel.
Mark Frankel, Scott Franklin, Jean Briquette. Those are the three
partners at Frankel and Frankel, very good at what they do.
If you've been injured and it's not your fault, you
need the frankeles. I was just referencing the time I
was driving up the toll way. Something was in the road.
(08:42):
I smashed into it and it totaled my car. I
was lucky to be alive. I called the Frankels from
the scene and they handled everything. They fought the other side,
so I didn't have to I didn't have to come
out of pocket for any of it, and you won't either.
And at the end of it all, Franklin Frankel got
me a nice cash settlement.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
And you know, that's what they do, and that's what
they've been doing for thirty years, advocates for injury victims.
And if you get hurt, you want to call the
Frankels first, not only for you know them, start gathering evidence,
put a case together. They're gonna get you the medical
attention you need immediately and there's no out of pocket
expenses for you.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
They've got your back.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
Call Franklin Frankel, call them first two one, four, three, three, three,
thirty three, thirty three or eight one seven all threes.
It's Franklin Frankel. Tell them Been and skin Cinsia. They
are chosen by the people and feared by the insurance companies.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
FI NK E L.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Call Frankel first, Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one.

You got to know how the talkback feature works, and
you might have a chance to win. We have some
music news, some very important stuff to get into you
here in about fifty teen minutes.
Speaker 10 (10:00):
But first track, another edition of things skin is.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
All right, Thank you, everybody, thank you. All right.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
So I was reading the mark Stein newsletter about Okay
mark Stein, if you don't know, he's a big NBA writer,
lived in Dallas forever, cover the Mavericks, work for ESPN.
Now he does his own substack. And in the world
of the NBA, the Las Vegas Summer League matters because
all these players go to Vegas, all these agents go
(10:33):
to Vegas, all these front office people, and sometimes deals
get done.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
And that's where all the rumors are.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
And so it's almost like an NBA convention, like there's
summer league basketball being played over here, but nobody cares
about it. It's all just about what the what the
scuttle butt is, and right now, the big scuttle butt
is Lebron James and where he's gonna go. And I
was reading this and I had so many flashbacks. He
(11:00):
was listing the teams that are in the mix, and
one of the things he listed, now, I'll give you
guys the odds right quick. Have you guys seen the
odds for where Lebron is going to go next? No,
do you have any idea what you think might be
the lead horse?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I always stuck Cleveland. Yeah, I thought Cleveland too.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Cleveland is far and away the lead dog straight up
odds one to one.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Baby.
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Number two is Golden State at three to one. Number
three is the Miami Heat at four to one. Number
five is the Philadelphia seventy six ers at six to one,
and last place or not last place. But then it's
Minnesota Timberwolves sixteen to one, a significant jump. And as
Stein is riding about this, he's saying, uh, even the
(11:43):
Minnesota Timberwolves feel like they still have a really good shot.
And then he has a quote from their coach Finch.
Coach Finch and he's like, yeah, if you listen to
Lebron and Rich, they're every We're still in the race there,
but everybody's making it, you know. And I'm reading this,
going all right, there is zero chance in hell that
(12:03):
Lebron James is going to end his career in Minnesota,
in that market where he's already bitched about it. He
doesn't want to go to Memphis because the golf courses
aren't up to snuff, but he's going to go to
Minnesota and spend his winners there to be on the
fourth best team in the Western Conference. And I'm reading
this and I'm like, God, it sure is good to
(12:25):
have my team not be in on this nonsense, because
we've done it so many times. Ben look at Ben
scrafted so many great tunes. But we get songs, We
cross our fingers, we hug, we hope, we bring in
the Dallas String Quartet, we do live concerts out in
front of ESPN's offices, and you go all in for
(12:48):
that hope, just that little sliver.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Of hope, and it ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
And I was like, man, I'm so glad right now
I'm not a Minnesota Timberwolf fan reading, Man, if you
talk to them, we still have a chance over there
and just sitting there waiting on pins and needles for
something that is not gonna happen. Do you think there
the delay is just to stir up interest it could
be good for his brand and then do documentary around it.
I definitely think that is part of it, is the
(13:15):
league waiting for that to happen, for more deals to
go through. I was reading the other day that sometimes
deals don't happen till like September, and so the Mavericks
still might have a few maneuvers to go.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
I think the MAVs have maneuvers to go.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
If I were to guess, I'd say more likely it's
going to happen once the season begins. But remember the
maps are also going to they go to China. But
this is the Lebron effect you're talking about. The league
can't even put together their Christmas Day schedule yet because
their Christmas Day schedule is gonna hinge upon who is
(13:47):
he playing for, what team is he returning to. I
mean that's their biggest day is Christmas Day. So they can't.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Even like, hold on, we have four games together, right,
but he can't.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
They NBA can't even finish their schedule yet until they
know what Lebron's gonna do. Wow, that's how much leverage
he has, how much power he has, and how much
that's going to swing. So I was reading all that
this morning and looking at all and did you guys
see the clip of him at the jay z nos concert. Yeah,
and everyone's just killing him. And I'm like, man, I'm
(14:20):
fifty five years old, and if I was the front
row at the jay z nas concert, I would be
doing that exact thing. I'd probably have a couple of
drinks in me, and I'd be, you know, wrapping every
word and jumping up and down. Let this forty one
or forty two year old guy, a couple of his
heroes are right there.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Just let him have a good time. That's America, dude,
that's America.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
What America does is lift people up and then Kevin
turner them down. Kevin, you knows it, or if they don't,
or if they don't also if they do, it's like
you lift people up on your shoulders and then you
carry them over to the ledge and throw them over there.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Because they get heavy. He brings it on himself. He
could have just stayed with the Lakers. No, I'm talking
about the jay z Nos concert. Oh yeah, sure, Christina,
talk to you.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
Lebron is a guy who's been faithfully married. Well, you're
right the whole time, has been a good family man. No,
you don't think so. You don't think so. I letn't
take it to court. How any ndia's are out there,
But I mean he's been, He's delivered to the hype
and he hambly man.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
He's like, like, what what is What is he.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Not done that he was supposed to do. I mean,
I don't love the guy or anything. I'm just saying,
what is he not done to deliver it? All that
hype stuck? He's got that dog in him. Hey think
about that? And delivered on tomorrow show?
Speaker 9 (15:37):
All right?
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Submitted skin Show ninety one point one The Eagle. Coming
up next the most important music news from the world
of Major League Baseball right here on the on the
Eagle Been and skin Show ninety seven point one. The
Eagle be listening for your chance to win Motley Crewe
tickets sometime the next hour and a half. You gotta
be listening to win. Got to listen to the whole
damn show, because we're gonna you know, kind of reference
(15:58):
something to happen in the show. If you know the answer,
used the talkback feature, you might win. Christina made a
big appearance at a huge event last night.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
What was it?
Speaker 5 (16:08):
We have details in fifteen minutes, but first, good time.
All right, So everybody's been talking about this diarrhea outbreak.
There's chronic diarrheas riddled the country. And I saw this
(16:32):
headline today and I just felt so bad for the
marketing department at Taco Bell. Authorities investigate This is from
the Washington Post. Mind you, authorities investigate Taco Bell and
let us as cyclos spore isis outbreak surge?
Speaker 9 (16:49):
Yeah? Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
Authorities have not yet identified the produce grower or supplier
responsible for the outbreak that has sickened more than four
thousand and so this is a that's a lot to
throw out a brand, a brand, a restaurant that has
so many locations throughout the country, one that already immediately
thinks it's going to send you to the toilet. Yeah,
(17:13):
and so to just throw them into the mix, it
seems a little bit reckless. Authorities investigate Taco Bell. If
you're that marketing department, you're like really like they're what
if they investigate us and don't find anything, You guys
just trashed our brand out there, or do people who
eat Taco Bell just like, oh, hey, I'm not worried
about that.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I already knew that.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
To me, it's like this, what have you ever had
at Taco Bell that lettuce improved?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Nothing?
Speaker 5 (17:39):
I don't get lettuce on there. They're lettuce. Even as
far as lettuce goes, it's bad lettuce. Like, it's not
even good lettuce at Taco Bell. Why you messing around
with lettuce at Taco Bell in the first place, it
literally offers nothing in the way of taste, nutrition, value, texture, none.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Of it, none of it. So Taco Bell is they
came out and said, hey, we're getting ahead of this.
We're removing our lettuce from stuff. Yeah, so that's why
they're in it. Maybe I have Taco boyd. I was like,
we're just gonna keep rolling the dice.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
That's her slogan, though, did you know that Taco Boito,
We're just gonna keep rolling the dice.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
It's so funny the way that kids think.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
My daughter is, you know, fifteen, and we were coming
back from her tournament and she wanted to. You know,
she had eaten at Taco Bell the night before, and
so we were kind of on the way back from
Mansfield to prosper on that seventeen hour drive and my
wife goes, that's the Taco Bell we stopped that last night.
And my daughter Grace goes, that Taco Bell is so good.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
That's the one.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Like what they say, like, all right, that one is
different than all the other ones.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
That one really smacks. I don't know, I got some favorites, man,
I would you do?
Speaker 3 (18:48):
Yeah, it depends on the man. I prefer what over
the one that's a little bit closer. Yeah, Why it's
just a little nicer, a little quicker.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Okay, Now, the quicker thing I get there is McDonald's
in Prosper that if you go, it's the newer one
over by the HB. If you go there, you're just
gonna turn your car off while you're in the drive
to line and just roll the windows down.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Just gonna be a minute. It's like going to pop us.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
Yeah, And it's been that way for like six months
and they haven't fixed it.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
So I will give you that.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
There are somewhere to wait, but there's no difference in
the food quality right.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Probably not? No, Yeah, I can't imagine.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Let me cape for something right quick, and I think
sometimes it's a punchline for people. I'm genuinely down with
this place. We got our friend Steve sent as his tweet.
Olive Garden announced on July thirteenth that it's bringing back
the coveted never Ending Pasta Pass for the first time
since twenty nineteen, entitling customers to thirteen weeks of unlimited pasta,
(19:45):
breadsticks and more. Now, one of the things I always
have is the bottomless salad, but you might not want
that right now because of the story we were just
talking about twenty seconds ago. But bro, never ending pasta,
as long as you want, as much as you want.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Just cranking on it. What did it say, thirteen weeks?
Speaker 5 (20:07):
Thirteen weeks of unlimited pasta with the pasta pass. Let
me tell you something, Olive Garden is underrated.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Okay, I respect you saying this. They'll tear them out.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
And this may not drive with you, Ben, because you're
you're not a big red sauce guy. But for me,
for a lot of Italian food, to me, it always
comes down to the red sauce and you get those
delicious moist breadsticks and dip them in that red sauce.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Right, you see me on the Alfredo? Is what I go?
You go with the Alfredo? That Alfredo? What about a
trio of Italy? Yes, oh my god, I'm telling you.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
As far as chain restaurants go, and look, there's a
million badass Italian options. I'm not going to sit here
and say, oh no, Olive Gardens better than this family
from Italy's Sicilian. But if you're just talking about a
chain restaurant, you can do a lot worse Olive Garden.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
And I stand by that. What's the never ending pass?
How much did they charge you for it?
Speaker 5 (21:04):
I don't have that detail and I didn't click on it,
but it's enough to where if you wanted to go
several times a week, that.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Takes one hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, I'm going to Olive Garden more than once, and
I haven't been thirteen weeks. In thirteen I can't imagine
I would let me go to the same restaurant I
can guarantee, I can guarantee five individual Olive Garden visits
in thirteen weeks.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Is gonna be worth it? If you're gonna feel like
you need to after you buy the pass.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Our friend bl works at Nona like one of the
greatest Italian for places, and he's driving around listening to
skin pontificate about how great the Olive Garden is.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Right now, you know what, I'll take Beel to Olive Garden.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
All right?
Speaker 1 (21:43):
All right, coming up next, Christina, where are you gonna
take us in the cookie jar?
Speaker 6 (21:46):
We had a huge event in town just last night
and I was there. I'm going to recap it next, all.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Right, coming up in ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
What did I watch on TV last night that got
me so freaking fired up? And then at four point
thirty to one of our friends is a master of hypotheticals,
so much so that we might start a brand new
segment with him.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
But right now, it's time for this.
Speaker 10 (22:08):
It's time to pop the top, break your hands in.
It's grab a treat from Pristina's cookie jars.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
I would like you guys to do me a favor
real quick before I get into this, just search Google
what sport has the smartest fan base and tell me
what shows up.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
I mean, clearly, I know why you're sending us down
this without even you know.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I just thought it was fascinating.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
You're gonna make him say wrestling. What sport has the
smartest fan base.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
And auchka and help it move along? Wrestling, Hockey, Basketball.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
I'd say baseball.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
I was gonna say baseball, baseball because of all the
saber metrics and stats and you know, just so much
nuance to the game.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
Well, Google says wrestling. Smartest fans watch wrestling. So me
and all the other very smart people right here in
the Metroplex were glued into Monday Night Raw and I
actually got to go. So I have to give a
big shout out to Jamie of Whiskey Myers, the band
Whiskey Myers. He's a basis. Oh yeah, he and his
girlfriend were huge fans of The Freak. Oh they love
(23:35):
Ben and Skin, they love KT and the morning show
there and so they do love my boyfriend and his
show Surfduce Roy.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
And so Jamie had reached out to Mike a few
months ago and he was like, Hey, Monday Night Raw
is coming to town. We're gonna have tickets to go.
Do you and Christina want to join us? And so
when Mike asked me, all the guests zero questions, Hell,
let's go.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
I would go if I was invited.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
Oh my god, that's I've never been to a I
don't think I've ever been to a wrestling of it.
I've been to like, you know, low stuff in Austin
where you go drink and watch, but not w dough.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
I've never been to wrestling now.
Speaker 6 (24:13):
Uh and so yeah, so I was very excited because
I've never been as well. I've watched WrestleMania COSM, but
that's about it. Never in person in real life.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:21):
And so before we go, even Mike texted me said, hey,
Jamie said, our seats are row A, so don't get excited.
You know, like first row could be double A or whatever,
but it looks like we're gonna have great seats to
this thing.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
I'm like, okay, cool, and uh.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
Sure enough, we get there, we walk in, they take
us to our seats. Not only are we front row,
but we are right behind the announcers Michael Cole, Corey Graves.
They're sitting right there in front of us. And I've
watched enough of these to know as well. I'm like, man,
we're gonna be on TV multiple times tonight because they're
(24:55):
gonna keep going to the announcers and we're going to
be right there. So oh yeah, really cool off the
bat and I'm fangirling over the ring announcer.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Her name's Alicia Taylor. She's awesome.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
Like whenever she took over first off, I was like, wait,
a girl's doing this. Oh wait, a girl's doing this.
And she's really really good at it. And so she
was like standing right there and there was one point
where these wrestlers almost hit her. I was like, no,
you do not hurt Alicia. She just looked at me
and laughed and I drank a lot.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Hey.
Speaker 6 (25:27):
So it was just it was so much fun. I
cannot even like the fact that the wrestlers were right
there in front of us. They were smashing the desk
right in front of us. That was insane.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
This is the American Airline Center and there's twenty thousand
people or.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
Whatever American Airline Center and I don't I don't remember
them saying how many people.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Were actually in that, but there's tons of people.
Speaker 6 (25:49):
But yeah, it was packed and it's really fun to
go along with the crowd. You cheer for people, you
boo for Logan Paul was there, he came out, were
booing him as he's staring right out boo, but I
forgot one of the biggest parts of the Nike. So
we're sitting there waiting for the show to start and
Jamie gets a text and it says, hey, brock Lesnar
(26:10):
wants to meet the band. Wow, rock Lesnar wants to
meet the band. That's incredible and I n yeah, keep
going okay, And so Jamie's like, hey, you know, to
me and his girlfriend, Sarah's like, just the band, guys,
I'm sorry. I Me and her are like, dude, he's terrifying.
That's okay, that's okay. And he turns to Mike and
he's like, what's up to a manager? You want to
(26:31):
go meet brock Lesner. Mike is like, hell, yes, Hell,
yes I do. So I was really excited for him.
He actually got to go back there. They were only
back there for like maybe fifteen twenty minutes, but he
had a straight up, full conversation with Brock. Fu He
did not get a picture. I don't know if that
was said or Mike just didn't want to do that,
(26:52):
you know, but they were talking about South Dakota. And
then later on we're sitting there, Brock texts Jamie and
he's like, hey, thanks for coming back, love you guys,
blah blah blah. And then later on after the match,
he had set a playlist. He was listening to Whiskey Myers.
Brock Lesner listening to Whiskey Myers. Cool, and I'd sent
it to that guy. So, yeah, that was just an awesome,
(27:16):
awesome night. Now, I want to know what you guys
thought when I said, brock Lesner.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Tell your brock Lesnar story. Uh so, brock Wive's brock
Lesner story. So we would go like Nick and Sam's
one of our favorite restaurants ever. We love Samir, John
everybody up there, and so a lot of celebrities when
they're in town go to Nick and Sam's. And so
one night we were there and my wife and I
were there and the table next to us was brock
Lesner and some other people, some big promoter. He's probably
(27:43):
a big wrestling Guy's got slicked back here, but he's
a big guy involved in.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
All of it.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
And yeah, the guy, and uh and I think we
were with Samir. And so at one point brock Lesner
came and stood next to our table, so his crotch
was right next to my wife's head and right next
to us, and so my wife kept turning around, but
she was right next to the crotch, and so it
was just like like a giant human crotch just at
(28:09):
our table. And when it was all over, she couldn't
stop laughing. I was like, what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (28:14):
She goes.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
I kept looking at that guy's crotch and it was
way too small for his body.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I'm like, wait, wait, what, so what are these accusations?
Speaker 5 (28:25):
So maybe the Whiskey Myers bass player can finally get
my wife to get a look at it, just to confer,
because there's no ways I think she had a wrong
scattering report on it. Every time I look at his crotch.
I'm impressed. She's used to things that are much bigger.
Speaker 11 (28:37):

This segment is brought to you by Franklin Frankel, longtime
friends and partners of our show. We go way back
with those guys, and there's no out of pocket expenses
when you call Franklin Frankel, call them first.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Who you get hurt in?
Speaker 5 (30:04):
E Wreck two one, four, three, three, three thirty three
thirty three. Got a great hypothetical here in fifteen minutes.
But first, now around the sports.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
KGD tweets has all the sports.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yes, guys, I went to my third rock show in
three nights last night, so I don't know what happened
in sports?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
What'd you see? What did you what'd you go to?
I saw man Man, uh huh yeah? How were they man?
Oh so good man? They were so good? Yeah yeah,
just jamming power.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Ranked the three shows and just realized you liked all
three of them, and now you're about to trash one of.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Them, probably Phonic Spree shows.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Saturday Night Tulips number one with Paul Shalwott seeing them
for the first time.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Crowd number one, me like.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Bee Sunday night and I had rubber gloves and Dentton
number two, man Man last night number three, So last night.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Was unnecessary, So you didn't need to go. Last night,
I was definitely.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Brink yeah, driving around listening right now at think Verry
now disappointed. I want to talk MAVs summer League. Last
night I watched an entire game of basketball. Hell yeah,
and you know it's not the prettiest thing. It's summer league.
But I am super super excited about Sergio de la Rea.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Did I say that right? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Larry, he was a twenty fifth pick. I think he
was their second first round pick. Morris Johnson Junior did
didn't play in that game. I do have concerns that
they should have drafted Braiden Burry's. But I'm gonna keep
it positive and I'm gonna choose. And I think Morris
Johnson Junior will be great. He's going to be a
more fundation, more foundational piece. And yah YadA yadabout Braiden
Burry's is going off. But the MAVs did get a
(31:39):
ball handler and a euro and he there are things
about his game that are luc alike. Now please understand
that's not a fair comparison for anybody, but and his
body is not the same. He's super tall and lean,
but he is a giant point guard who has a
flare for the dramatic with his passes, Like he has
highlight passes, highlight dimes, and he's entertaining to watch for
(32:02):
that reason. Like when you're watching him play, he has
a lot of crowd wowing moments.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Yeah, I was excited when they got him. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
I think you had asked me, Hey, who's got the
most upside, and I'd go probably the twenty one year
old six' five. Guy AND i haven't watched him play,
much but when they talk about his skill, set they
talk about his, vision you, know really being able to,
see all, right here's what the defense is. Doing i'm
going to manipulate it and get the ball over. HERE
a lot of times it's hard to really make that
happen in summer, league you, know just because of the
(32:32):
way the basketball. Is but you, KNOW i saw a
highlight package and he certainly made the decision to just
throw it anywhere near the rim Anytime toby La wall was.
There if you're in summer league and there's a guy
with a four foot, vertical you can just throw it over,
there and you can still throw it a foot and
a half behind, him.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
And it doesn't. Matter he'll just catch. It And. Wrow,
yeah IT'S i, Mean i'm.
Speaker 5 (32:54):
Intrigued they have a lot of new young pieces and
that fit around That Cooper flag. Timeline they they still Have,
kyrie which is a totally different, timeline and it's going
to be interesting to see the way the team building thing,
Develops like will they still make some moves are? There you,
know some of these guys could be could be, traded
but they have several young pieces now to build around
(33:18):
to fit around That Cooper flag, timeline And.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
I'm fascinated to watch them all.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
DEVELOPED i think we should keep super low expectations because you,
know this is just summer. League, yeah but you, know
those it'll be interesting to see how they.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Developed, YEAH i.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Mean get, look it was important for them to get
some talent in here because of the way their draft
situation is moving. Forward wouldn't it be badass if they
got the number one pick last year and got to
keep their.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Pick, god that'd be asking for too much, though come, on,
DUDE i mean this coming.
Speaker 5 (33:49):
Year, yeah, yeah because they get to keep their pick
if it's top. Two and you, KNOW i think if
YOU i, mean everyone told me that the league is,
rigged and they gave it to The mavericks get good for,
Flag so why not just keep that, going keep that
in if you. Going if it is, rigged they still owe,
us they still owe. US i wouldn't mind the top
two pick this this.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Year they don't Know.
Speaker 5 (34:10):
Charlotte in, fact they're mad At charlotte for Trading LaMelo. Ball,
yeah so and your daughter's mad At charlotte for Trading,
LaMelo so gotta be. BADASS i really think that they
have A i, mean we'll see what happens With, hell's
BUT i think they'll be in the mix for playing
in that. Area so the other one That i'm interested
in SEEING i have seen me at Is Tarik.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Babrevich is that how you say?
Speaker 10 (34:31):
It?
Speaker 5 (34:31):
YEAH i nailed at that. Time, hunh it's Really Tark. Tark,
yeah he should go WITH i, like is the more
the only it'd be just like the name of the
dude black thought for the. ROOTS i think his name Is. Tike,
okay so It's Taric. Babarovich, yeah But bearvitch and He's.
(34:52):
YEAH i think it's gonna be a lot of that
for mass, fans Like, okay hold on WHICH eurosi just
call your it's the Most european players that have a
we've been on a team ever and he called the
other GUY tv all, right coming up next and trending In,
ben we have a friend who's back at it again
with the hypotheticals and this one's a good and we'll
talk about it. Next Taric Taric, barbarovitch let's, go got,
(35:14):
it nailed, It let's go and nailed. It you just
got to say it with. Confidence, yeah right like? That
Uh santi Al dama, yep. Yep those are some of
the names He's he's totally naming people right. Now the
first part of being a mass fan these days is
just getting the names, right and then that's the next.
Step is that knowing anything about? Him Cooper, Flag Carrie Iving, yep. Yep,
(35:36):
Okay we've got The today game coming up in ten,
minutes but right now it's time for.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
This he's, Interrational Quick, Triggord Nuclear. Overreactor he's a masterful
storyteller who consistently finds himself drowning in a sea of.
Awkward it's time for no trondin In.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
Ben we might be creating a new segment. Intro we
need to get on the phone With Steve, Shackelford ben
And Skin Show Lifetime Achievement award winner to Be Adam
keck is back at it again with the. Hypotheticals and
this is a good friend of all of, ours but
one Of skin's closest. Friends just a great. Dude he
brought us a couple of hypotheticals. Recently he was, like,
(36:16):
okay and at one hundred yard dash Between Joey chestnut
And Usain, bolt who would win if before they could
start running they had to eat one hot dog that.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Completely get it down their. Gullet it's a great.
Speaker 5 (36:29):
Question, YEAH i, mean because if you can't store it
in your, cheek you got to eat the whole thing
and swallow it and then you can. Go you could
probably do the math you find out exactly how Quickly
Joey chestnut can eat a hot, dog and you could
do how fast Does Usain bolt run the one hundred yard?
Dash and then you would have to make a guess
at how Quickly Joey chestnut could run a one hundred
(36:50):
yard dash and how quickly you Sained bolt could eat
a hot, dog, which based on his body being a
human race, car he's probably never eaten a hot. Dog,
YEAH i think that he would get into ingestion halfway
through the spring if he's fast eating a. Dog what
was the other one he was talking to us about the? Breads,
yeah throwing the bread with it like A i'm not
(37:12):
throwing a nonbread verse throwing a bag?
Speaker 1 (37:14):
At which?
Speaker 5 (37:15):
One could you throw the furthest AND i was shocked
by how many people thought they could throw a bag
at in a perfect.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
SPIRAL i, can AND i still think bag at is the. Choice. Unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (37:25):
Uh, anyways he sent me a Text sunday at two.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
Thirty i'm just gonna read it for you in the
car with.
Speaker 5 (37:31):
SKIN i just asked him which would be more of
an inconvenience the inability to whisper or the inability to
raise your. Voice he didn't answer and just said to
text that To. Ben and SO i want a table
talk this AND i want to start with, You. Christina
(37:52):
what would be more of an inconvenience if you couldn't whisper,
ever or you couldn't raise your voice?
Speaker 1 (37:58):
Ever?
Speaker 6 (37:58):
Well, SEE i immediately think of our profession. Radio we
have to actually use our, voice raise our voice, sometimes.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Like raise your, voice especially if.
Speaker 6 (38:09):
You're you, know at some appearance or, whatever and you
have to use your big, voice big outdoor, voice and
When i'm in band, PRACTICE i have to Use, LIKE
i don't really whisper all that.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Much SO i Think i'd go with the other.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
One, yeah but you'd be laying in bed next To
mike shroy and you need to ask A q, question
hand me the remote, control and he's a dead ass
a sleep or.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
Something you.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
KNOW i, mean you couldn't whisper sometimes you need to.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
Whisper you'll never be able to talk in an intimate
situation like, church, yeah or a deathbed pastor saying, yeah
think about, this someone's at their deathbed and you lean
down to tell them one last. Thing you're, Like, Hey
i've really enjoyed having you. Around you, know you've meant
a lot to. Me oh did that hurt, Right?
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Kevin?
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Uh to, me it's as simple as what do you
do most yell or? Whisper and you're removing that from your.
Arsenal SO i raised my voice more THAN i whisper
BECAUSE i don't ever.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
Whisper, Yeah so by doing, that you don't ever. Whisper,
no why WOULD i ever need?
Speaker 5 (39:12):
To what about when you Like i've seen you walk
up to some of the sales girls and.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Lean down and talk in their. Ear they don't come to, Work,
okay you what it would be more of an inconvenience for.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
You people hate the sound of my, voice SO i
think THAT i don't need to. YELL i THINK i
think it would be better for me personally IF i
could whisper and not.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Yell.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
Yeah see so the Great Jerry elliott once taught me
the value of a whisper.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Hug.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
Yep that's where you hug someone and you don't let.
Go you hold on for too, long and you start
whispering directly in their. Ear nothing, Crazy it's just, like.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Hey it's so good to see.
Speaker 9 (39:53):
YOU i haven't seen you in a long.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Time house everything you won't like the? Hug, yeah have
you ever had a whisper?
Speaker 7 (39:59):
Hug?
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Christina would that be? Awkward, yes it would absolutely be.
Awkward you.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
Know the other, thing, too is if you couldn't, yell
you would be. Able you'd spend a lot of time
developing the ability to do. That Phil jackson, WHISTLE i
can't do. It oh, yeah real. LOUD i always respect
people who can pull that.
Speaker 9 (40:16):
Off.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Amazing the manly, thing, like how did somebody learn? THAT
i don't.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
Know my dad failed, me never taught me. That i've
never taught me how to change my wife's tires. EITHER
i don't think anybody could teach me how to do.
THAT i Think i'm incapable of doing. That you have
An i'm SURE i don't have it for. THAT i
can do a little. BIT i can't really do. IT
i can't do the big. One what's the loudest you can?
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Whistle do? It hold? On, okay the. Loudest, okay let
me try. It that's pretty. Good, christina did you just
blow a? CANDLE i don't know how to whistle birthday.
(40:58):
CAKE i can only on the. WHISTLE i can only suck.
In that's why you were popular in high. School oh my?
Speaker 5 (41:03):
God, yes, ready, okay, right it's the BEST i can,
do the suck in. Whistle yeah all, Right, yeah it's
hard to get a loud blowout. Whistle, man this is
the best show in the. World pretty good coming, out pretty,

Here The frankels are local and have been for a long,
time and it costs you nothing to call The. Frankeles

up the MRIs x rays physical. THERAPY i never had
to come out of, pocket and at the end of it,
All Franklin frankel got me a nice cash.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Settlement.
Speaker 5 (49:28):
Yeah and, look that's what they've been doing for a
really long. Time we're talking about three plus decades of
being advocates for injury, victims stepping up for you if
you get. Hurt the insurance company will.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Not they just.
Speaker 5 (49:39):

First ben and skin show ninety seven point One The.
Eagle YESTERDAY kt played us some commercials from the sixties
that did not stand the test of. Time we're gonna
put commercials of the seventies and eighties under that same
microscope coming up here.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
SHORTLY i look forward to.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
That but, first, yes so still working through some of
this from the DAWs Mor. News they took all these
international outlets and what they're reporting about their time hanging
out here IN. Dfw this is another one from THE,
uk The Sunday, times were they Called Dallas Fort, worth
a sprawling oil city plonked in the.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
Prairie, interesting pretty.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
Accurate who called it? That uh The Sunday times from
where the uk oh, Okay, OKAY i get the oil
thing from back in the, day BUT i didn't ever
wear have oil, now, LIKE i don't know. THAT i
just SEE dfw and go that's oil, town, RIGHT i
haven't thought that way SINCE i was.
Speaker 1 (51:22):
Seven, WELL i think they knew the.
Speaker 5 (51:25):
History, yeah in other, words because that is how THE
dfw was, built because it was all the oil people
came in and wanted to be in the quote unquote big.
City and so like that book you, read, Uh thief Of,
diamonds what was it Called Diamond, thief.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
The king of Diamond king Of.
Speaker 5 (51:40):
Diamonds, yeah it talked about how you had the old
money and then when all the oil people got Riche's
beverly hillbillies and they all moved to town and suddenly
wanted to hobnob with the old. Society So i'm SURE
u came in knew. That that's HOW dfw was. Built
and it is pretty, interesting like what other city is
LIKE dfw where it's two completely different cities thirty minutes.
(52:04):
Apart it's not even a scenic view from one to the.
Next and it's just plopped in the middle Of North.
TEXAS i can't think of. One there's nothing like. That
ye maybe getting to the other side Of.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
New, york like going To. Brooklyn it's just buildings, everywhere
you know What i'm, Saying like it never.
Speaker 5 (52:20):

minutes down thirty and not see.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
Much she reported.
Speaker 3 (52:27):
This she knew That god came first in The Dallas cowboys,
second but what she did not know is that about
one in every Three texans Have mexican, ancestry WHICH i
could see That you're probably not expecting that when he came.
Here you probably didn't know that you're going to run
into More mexicans than white.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
People.
Speaker 5 (52:45):
YEAH i think that's pretty true of all Of texas
at this. Point, yeah for, sure especially like during The World, cup,
because like we talked about it At, Rollertown, man When mexico,
Played oh My, god it was so. Odd another place
in THE, uk this is an outlet called Pa. Media
(53:05):
they report that Many british visitors have been Embracing american gun,
culture falking to the gun range at academy because.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
They don't have it over. There it's, like you know,
what let's go get these shots. In so they don't gun,
range it's a blast they don't have gun ranges OR
i don't think so own guns like. That, YEAH i
think it's harder to have guns over. There they are
the whole gun. Culture it's just so normal for. Them
they also said the city has so many big. SUVs it's, like,
(53:35):
yeah we do kind of have a lot of. THOSE i,
mean if you guys ever gone to a gun, range,
yes it's very. Fun, yeah that's if you'd never shot
a gun in your, life you'd, Go, okay this seems
pretty pretty.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
Good it's like a laser, tag you.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Know to, them you, know maybe it's like acts, throwing
just something that seems like new to. Us going to
the batting. Cage, yeah, yeah that's what it was like for.
Them play old putt, putt you, KNOW i don't.
Speaker 5 (53:59):
Know and there's some really nice gun ranges, here like
some nice.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
Ones, yeah they got that trick shot gun. Range the
dude perfect gun range where they do trick shots that
he's so. Cool, yeah behind the, back you guys are on. Paintballing,
Yes it, hurts but it's kind of. Fun it hurts
like a mother. Scratch yeah, yeah AND i know.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
It's like easier just to Play call Of, duty but,
yeah call Of duty has done more damage to the
paintball economy than maybe anything.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
Ever did we do that at the fan one?
Speaker 10 (54:33):
Time?
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Yeah what was that that we? Went did?
Speaker 5 (54:34):

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Hannibal by the, way.
Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
The thing that's gone gone away the most that it's
really disappointed me is the board.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Game your kids aren't playing board.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
Games, No, no even ten years, ago they probably weren't
playing board.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Games we Did monopoly for a long. Time you need
more board. Games they're such a GOOD i, mean they
probably charge you a little much for, It but why
how much is a board? Game how much can you
get a nice game of risk? FOR i bet it's
stuck thirty?
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
Bucks, yeah twenty thirty, bucks and it probably costs at
least two dollars for them to make.
Speaker 9 (01:00:29):
It.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Yeah there was a game, though in the seventies Called.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):

a dice and they're moving. Things like he, mentioned it's
like checkers and pool. TOGETHER i don't. KNOW i never
got a billiard's component to it while watching. It it
looks like checkers with. Dice it didn't look very. Fun
how did you break? Balls that's the way you jump
it and you break the.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
BALL i don't.
Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Know it was very, confused but adults find it, exciting.
Right that was a weird part of. It calling someone
a ballbuster's funny.
Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
Too breaking my.
Speaker 3 (01:01:54):
Bulls that's enough for the, seventies but when we, RETURN
