great man. All right with with epan with our.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Show, you're gonna ruling it get except with a similar
sweet pursuing.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
It toddled out Shaw Shank through the sewer.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Kid, Now what chill in that day? People?
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, we're doing it.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Three o'clock on the dock.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Got a habit for my house, a goat status, Howard
starting to get Craddit shows that enough multiplied like a
rabbit tun in so out, prank it up, beat the habit.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
I'm on I hang out with her friends, rocking it
on the ladyo.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
My home grown on boys Kinskins talking on the radio.
It's time to do this fin.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
All by we go.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Okki to the streaming up. Oh yeah, so loa and
welcome everybody. This is the world famous Ben and Skin
Show ninety seven point one The Eagle, at least for now.
I'm Ben Rogers, joined by Jeff skin Wade, Kevin kt,
Teardown Turner, and Christina k Raid Little baby Cornbread Ray.
(01:16):
You just heard the start of the show where Kat said,
isn't it good to feel good again? Or something like that,
And now I would like to go to a new satellite
segment within the orbit of the intro. That is called
defending your broadcasting. All right, Kevin, what what were you
doing right there?
Speaker 5 (01:36):
I think we'll really pull back all the layers and
you look at the context. We're really having a good
discussion on how the Mavericks had gotten the shovel and
after they had been buried alive, because they buried themselves alive.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
And a snake went down that breathing hole. Yeah, like
the end of Vieupho.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
You a spoiler, and they dug themselves out and it
feels good to feel good again. They're breathing clean air.
You can the Mavericks in the basketball sense, can he
let us again?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
All right? He saved it? He did so, not guilty.
You're out. I'm eating a Taylor Farm salad for lunch,
just to celebrate their reasons. Hey, that is a bet
payoff right there. Before we get too deep into this thing,
I want to say, I'm incredibly frustrated. Oh Ben, oh man,
I had i'd put out the bat signal for a
(02:27):
graphic artist. I wanted to find a graphic artist, somebody
who can make logos, make cool artwork for us and
things like that, because man, all I found is, you
know people that are super expensive, like obscenely expensive, like, yeah,
let me, I'll make a logo for You'll get it
to you tomorrow. That'll be five thousand dollars. You're like,
(02:48):
what or AI? Which is garbage? You look at it like,
that's AI. I don't like that. Or there's somebody's like
I've always wanted to try making a graphic. I'll do
it here. I just drew. You know, It's like, there's
no how do you find the people between beginners who
want to give it a shot and the people who
are like, you can't afford me, You're not Walmart. You
(03:09):
almost turned into Bill Cosby there, did you guys hear it?
Do you find the people between? Yeah, dude, it's hard, man.
It's like the the pro world is expensive and the
amateur world is full of dabblers.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Well, the other problem is you're a very popular radio
host in the top five market, so wondering, well, when
you put out the call for that, there are a
lot of people who want to please you or get
on your radar or impress you in some way, So
you need to get a burner account.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I don't think that's the case, I think what happened
is bots. Then go, okay, somebody as a graphic artist.
They have bots and they're all over the world and
they look for people asking this question. And then I
just get flooded with crap. And then the people who
are like, may actually have a shot are like, don't
even give you a link to anything, and there's no
way to take the conversation to the next level or
(04:01):
like what do you need or something like that, like
what what do you do? Are you do you do
what we need? Anyways, I'm I found one who this
guy is amazing, but he's he's had some you know,
personal stuff come up totally understandable, and he's not quite
as available. So I had it was like I had
the catch. I found the guy, and then when I
hit the ground, Dean Blandino said I didn't make a
(04:22):
football move and he said it was not a catch.
And so hopefully I can get that guy back in
the Mexican at some point. But see the rules committee
and see if you can get to change. It's freaking brutal.
Uh So I say all that to say, let's go
through this exercise one more time. If you're a graphic artist,
reach out to me and waste my time, please, because
I don't have.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
Any people that I heard the gut. Yeah, probably all
the gays out there reach out to Ben. Yeah. How
did you say that gangs like graphic gangs gas graphic artists.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
They're blind? Uh? Yeah, okay. So as we get this party,
uh and going, something that we talked about on the
show yesterday, I re released today as a poll on Twitter. Okay,
and if you go look at the comments, it's quite
a bit of fun. What lands best in an argument? Bulls?
(05:15):
Horse s, dog s or chicken s? And I put
those up there, and so what do you think will
be the winner? Once that pole has fully gone through
and people have got it at Ben Rogers on Twitter,
let me look it up. I want to look it
up because I want to see exactly how it's worded,
because I think that.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
Impacts you're using it in an argument. If you look
it up, are you going to see the results?
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Well, no, it's not done yet. I can tell you
what it is now in the early stages.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
If they listened to the segment yesterday, then undoubtedly dog
ass as your leader.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
It's which one lands the hardest in an argument? Okay, bulls,
horse s, dog s or chicken s. And I'll tell
you the one you thought would be the leader in
the clubhouse is Yeah, here's what I was going to say.
I think people that listen to the segment would vote
dog ass has been made a compelling argument, But I
(06:07):
think your average person is going to roll with the
late contender of chickens, which Christina brought to the.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Party at the very end, and I'm going to go
with horse. I think horse s is when someone says
that you're whoa, they mean business.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I actually had people reach out during that segment laughing
goat goats, that's interesting. You never hear it. They're just
pebbles though, you know what, You don't ever hear it.
That would be a rite end. Can't Well what about
baby as I threw that out there yesterday. Cow I
mean yeah, nobody says you don't hear that? Why don't you?
(06:45):
It's right, it's not. I feel like a bull dump
is going to be just heavier in weight than the
cow dumps because of the gender. Thing is you know,
I think I'm doing my part to make Twitter good again.
Good job, dude, you're trying, you know what. I mean yeah.
I asked another question on Twitter that I'll ask you
(07:06):
guys now, and you guys have no time to prepare
for this. You have to answer within one second. Name
one movie better than point break? No one named? No
one got it Offime, alright, you got one?
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Yeah, he did answer.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
What did you say?
Speaker 6 (07:24):
That's a Jurassic Park?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
I said, all of them? I said, I can't think
of a single movie.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Have you ever seen that Porno Thoracic park where the
guys is wherever moved?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
All right?
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Coming up next, Skin, we are you gonna take us
in things? Skin is tracking? All right? I think this
is a somewhat legendary death in the in the world
of music. I'll tell you what it is next, Ben
and Skin Show ninety one point one The Eagle. I'm
really looking forward to all the stuff we have going
on today, including giving away Wheezer tickets. Sometime in the
next two hours, we'll give a clue of something that
(08:03):
happened in our show, and the first person uses the
talk back feature on the streaming app is going to
win those Weezer tickets. We got tickets to give away
every day this week, but today it's very important be
dialed in, be focused, don't miss a second of the
Bit and Skin show. But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Track another edition of things Skin is tracking.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
All right, So there is a notable death in the
world of music journalism. Okay, we'll see. And when I
saw this, I saw it on one of those scrub websites,
and I was like, you know where it comes up?
And there's all these news stories that are aggregated and
every five seconds something pops up over the content. You
can't read it. So I was like, all right, I
(08:48):
want to go read this somewhere else. So I punched
the guy's name in Google and an obituary came up
in the New York Times, and so I was like, okay, well,
then this is a notable death. If the New York
Times is, you know, putting space towards this person, then
I'm just fight here. But I wonder I don't think
any of you will have ever heard his name, and
(09:09):
I think maybe only Ben will recognize him. Do you
guys know the name Dave Kendall. No, he is a
music journalist slash host on MTV. I know Dave Holmes.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
I have to search him on tell Us who Dave
Holmes is music journalist slash former host on MTV and
other things.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
I don't think so host. Did I spy video? Is
that right? Okay? In the eighties on MTV, when MTV
was still all about music and you could break artists,
like today is the anniversary of the Guns N' Roses
album Appetite for Destruction being released. Do you guys know
the whole story about that album was dead, absolutely dead?
(09:51):
And David Geffen, who ran Geffen Records, called Bob Pittman,
our current boss at iHeart, and said, would you please,
I beg you play this one music video? Please? I
beg you, like eight months after it came out, and
the phones back then people called exploded and so almost
a full year after the record came out, it blew
(10:13):
up because David Geffen Beck. So anyways, I'm saying MTV
used to carry a lot of weight, all right. So
the eighties is the advent of alternative music. For the
longest time, you had R and B and rock and
country and that's kind of it, and pop and then
you start having subgenres, and then the eighties start having
quote unquote alternative music. And it was pushed by what
(10:36):
they back then college radio really mattered. College radio stations
would play underground artists. So Dave Kendall was the creator
and host of a show called one hundred and twenty Minutes.
Oh yeah, and it was on every Sunday night for
two hours, and it was my favorite thing on television
and I would never miss a second of it. And
bands that went on to dominate the nineties are Nirvana.
(11:02):
They very for the very first time got played on
Fringe Sunday nights on one hundred and twenty minutes because
of Dave Kendall. And he passed away at the age
of sixty three. He was like living in Thailand, just
kind of falling off the face of the earth, but
like and he was a British guy, and a lot
of this music that was popular on alt radio and
(11:23):
alt rock and Spin magazine and Rolling Stone all the stuff,
they were Brits So he kind of gave it like
this air of authenticity because he had spiked hair and
a leather jacket and was British. But I mean, you
think about how big Nirvana is, or how big rim
is and still are after all these years. They had
to get a start somewhere and for the most part.
(11:45):
This guy kind of gave them their start. Yeah, I
think that's legendary, even if like Roll Citter going Dave Kendall, what, But.
Speaker 6 (11:53):
That's the story, Like smells like teen Spirit. That music
video aired on what I'm assuming he's one twenty minutes.
I just know it aired on MTV at some point
point and it blew them up.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
It blew them up. Yeah, then you know the real
we talked about this. Christina played music from the outtakes
of the Nirvana Unplugged concert. They actually did that sort
of in conjunction with one hundred and twenty minutes. I
missed that. I missed when a video could break somebody awesome, right,
I know, just the video, you know, aspect of it
tied into it? Is that the best time in the
(12:24):
history of music, I personally, even if the music was
not the best music, I think I think the best
music ever made was made in the seventies. I think
the best time for music is the eighties because of
MTV primarily and how much like what you're talking about,
Like I'm sitting here talking about a music journalist. Music
(12:44):
journalists really mattered back then. But we're old dudes. Let's
talk to these younger humans or were you sitting here
going back in our day there was music videos and
what do you guys think is the best time?
Speaker 5 (12:56):
I mean, we grew up watching MTV too, though, right
that so yeah, I like Jess, sure he is Canadian.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
I actually used to watch that, but Kat, you were
watching it with a dirty diaper. Oh yeah, for sure.
And it was.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Excus was the same because I remember I would sit
there and like fourteen years old and there'd be new
music videos of the artists I didn't know, but I
was like, there, I love all these other artists. So
this is a new you know, a new band to
add to the list. And I will say this, like,
I like that. There are many options now for artists
to get noticed, yep, but they don't get paid. Well.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah, but it's also, Christina, it's so flooded. Yeah, like
it used to be thick about that. MTV played that
video once as a favorite. It blew them up. Think
about that kind of an impact.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
Imagine y'all's kids are growing up the Internet, how impatient
they are about things. Christina and I had this thing
and it broke the music industry clearly. But downloading songs
you guys probably participated in a little bit of this
downloading songs, the thought and of how you might have
waited three hours or five hours.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
For one song to get downloaded.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
Yeah, and then you get it and the payoff and
appreciation of one song, and then if someone mislabeled it,
it's the wrong song.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
It's not even the song you even wanted. You're saying,
they take it right to the edge. And then then ah,
the pay like the big just like, here's all my songs.
This is I want to go full circle on this
because this is a memory of one hundred and twenty minutes.
The first time I heard the song Running Up That
Hill was on one hundred and twenty minutes, and they
actually interviewed Kate Bush. And then here we are four
(14:29):
decades later, and our kids get into it because the
stranger things, isn't that crazy? Two different ways to get there, Yeah,
totally different ways, but everyone got there the same. Everyone's happy. Eventually.
Coming up next, Morgan Wallen is involved in a ping controversy.
What is it unfair that if somebody speaks in a
British accent we just assume that what they're saying is
smart or smarter and that they're intelligent. And if you're
(14:51):
in a country American accent, we just assume you're dumbass. Yeah,
I think that's well earned. It's messed up, dude, I disagree.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Right.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Oh look at you, mister flagwaiver playing to the audience, say.
Speaker 5 (15:05):
If you're talking in a country accent, you probably know
a little bit more about.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Let's hear that again. You probably get under the hood.
How much door? How much talk does your vehicle?
Speaker 6 (15:16):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Okay, well yeah no, that's he actually probably knows how
to make an engine? Are you speaking of mechanical propulsion?
All right? Coming up in ten minutes, Christina's cookie jar.
Something huge is coming to town. But right now it's
time for this.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
It is.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
Entertainment head line.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Entertainment headlines. Hope everyone had a good time out there
at the Dallas Boat Show.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
Yeah, dude, Morgan Wallan was doing a concert the other
day and it's a the rare Morgan Wallin story where
he's not really a main character in it.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
So that's good. He's not the drunk this time.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
So on TMZ this, I mean, will this one online?
It's taking off everywhere. So a guy is at the
Morgan Wallen concert and the audio I'm going to play you.
He's talking to about three or four cops out in
the concourse while the music's playing. He's claiming that behind
him at the concert, a guy whipped it out and
(16:12):
started whizzing on him, his wife, his brother, and his
eight year old niece.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
No, so here's the audio, and uh try to start
to stop a little bit. Probably again, I'm not blaming you
because you've been going to do with the law stadium, right,
but I'm going to make it known that I hadn't
gentlemen whites out Adam Morganwong concert. It's on me, my
brother and my niece. And the Maryland State Police can
(16:41):
do nothing about it, not a thing. And it's absolutely okay.
And they're gonna say, do what you want to do.
If you want to brush target, you need to do
his information. I got his information. Who's in charge of
the stadium stadium security here. It's absolutely crazy that you
can muller count on somebody and nothing.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
All right, So this is where the rest of the
families walking by this interaction because he's just live streaming,
you know, and you do see the kid that her
faces blurt out.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
But you can tell she's crying, Like you can just
tell did he film the guy who did it too?
And no he didn't.
Speaker 5 (17:18):
And that's that's my that's my question, is like, and
you're probably just in the moment, like you're not thinking that.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
No, it's illegal to film another man's dong without his consent. Oh,
how do you know how the guy that get his
ass kicked? That's what I want to There's there's certain Look, yep,
there's times where your instinct is, all right, I have
to go pummel and beat the hell out of this person.
But there's also you could kill them. I mean, if
we've learned anything from watching Nick Cage movies, Yeah, you
(17:46):
could potentially accidentally kill someone by punching them so hard
that their nose goes into their brain and then you
spend the rest of your your life in prison until
you get out and you're transported in a plane with
all the biggest cons in all the world, and then
it's just and they call the plane con air. So
you have to be careful about getting in a fight.
(18:07):
So when do you When is it okay to go ahead?
And if they're not going to do anything, you're probably
not justified in Kicking Ass. But then you know the
other Ben's point. The other thing that happens is then
your wife dies and you spend your life living with
a pig out in the wilderness. That's a different movie.
What are you talking about? So we're talking about Life's
talking about life? Sorry, Yeah, you've already overcome so much
because back in the day, you were just trying to
(18:29):
find a cool girl down in the valley that was
into cool music and clothes and like that. You were,
and she was dating a preppy guy and he was
a big jerk. And then you make snuff films. Yeah,
and then yeah, well you find people who are making
snuff films. And then later, yeah, later you have to
switch faces with Travolta, and then you drink yourself to
(18:50):
death in Vegas with a hooker. Elizabeth Shoe still had
her fastball yep, and the interesting and you're doing Spider
Man War.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
By the way, I was wondering when you steal the
Declaration of Independent.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
I think that's after. I think it's midway through, yeah,
but I think at the end you get real bloated
and you you start trying to coach old school football.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
Games, right, Yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Is that is that November?
Speaker 7 (19:19):
When is that like it's been pushed back a little,
We'll see. So if Morgan, if Morgan Wallen is as
popular as we've been told that he is.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I mean, there's a lot of people there when this happens, too.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
You would think this guy could go grab a couple
of people from the section and be like, here's some
witnesses who saw the guy.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
I think it's possible. He'd probably just build some course
light on somebody. It is possible. I think I can
see a drunk idiot doing that. It's too crowded, he
doesn't want to go to the bathroom, so he just
does it right there. How do you figure out, like
who did it? Like unless they just create all the
space and start pushing people, which they don't want to
do to protect it.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
If your old girls right up there standing by the stead,
I'm assuming they weren't close to the stage. It must
have been in seats though, yeah, probably. I was thinking
it would be in the pit.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
I'm thinking, yeah, I'm picturing the pit and it's dark
and you can't really you wouldn't have an eight year
old girl in the pits. Morgan, Yeah, you're not going
to be washing at a Morgan Walling concert.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
So here's a little bit more.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
Nothing.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Absolutely, absolutely accept it. I don't know what else. You're
making a scene?
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Yes, because the cop had said they had already sent
someone out to find the guy or whatever, and the
cops are like, look, we can't just go and arrest them.
We didn't see anything happen. We have to have you know,
we can't just say you said this, we can go
get him. And now the cops like, you're filming us,
causing a scene right now, which the guy was.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Good for him? What else can he do? You mean
film the guy?
Speaker 6 (20:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (20:59):
I think gone. He should have gone with the cop
to find the guy. Yeah, it's that, there's there's some
of it that.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
There's some of that because of where it's all happening,
because it's not out in there, it feels viral clout.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, that's all gross and I don't know. Plus, dude,
go ahead. My family went to go see I wasn't there.
They went to go watch ut play Nebraska and Nebraska
UT one and after the game they're at this bar
and they were the only ones there in ut gear,
and the bartender served them up shots of urine. Oh,
and there was nothing they could do. And it had
a little bit of alcohol in it or something. Back then,
(21:38):
you couldn't film it.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
What do you do?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
You fight your way out of that or you just
take the l Yeah, you ruined the business. You take that.
You can't do that. But again, if you punch a guy,
we all know what's gonna happen. That's why you do
a Molotov cocktail through the window at three am. Up
in the cage. Coming up next, Christina, where are you
gonna take us in the cookie jar Man?
Speaker 6 (21:56):
We got something big coming to town. I don't think
enough people are aware of it. So we're going to
talk about that next to Eagle.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Before we get there, I want to talk about our
friends at Frankel and Frankel two one four three three
three thirty three thirty three. Look, or if you're in
the eight one seven do the same thing three three
three thirty three thirty three. You can check them out
online at truckreck dot com. Look, we have a lot
of great partners, but the Frankels man, they've been with
us for so long. This is our family. We love
these guys and they've actually handled my case, I got
(22:22):
to do a horrible wreck one day, and I called
the Frankels and they handled it everything. First of all,
it cost you nothing to call the Frankeles. They'll handle
it all. Uh cost you nothing. They only get paid
if they reach a settlement on your behalf. And that's
exactly what they did for me at the end of
it all. They got me a nice cash settlement. Yeah,
and that's what they do for I mean, they've been
doing it for thirty years, right, so thinks about all
the different people they've helped. A lot of times listeners
(22:44):
have been in skin Show, which we really really appreciate.
That's why we say called the Frankeles first. As soon
as you get hurt in erect two one four or
eight one seven, three three, three, thirty three thirty three. Again,
as soon as you're involved in a wrec call Franklin Frankel,
no out of pocket expenses, and they're going to get
you exactly what what you need. It's Franklin Frankel chosen
by the people in feared by the insurance companies fr
(23:05):
E N K E L. Call Frankel first, Ben and
skin Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle. A lot
of people are saying Ben and k t or the
new siscol Nieber. What does that mean? Find out at
four o'clock with a very important movie news segment. We
also have Weezer tickets to give away. Be listening for
your chance to win. But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
It's time to pop the top. Great your hands in
you grab a treat from Christina's kooky jar kristin State.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
So just last week Skin was talking about conventions. He
volunteer went to the Barbie convention.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Let's talk about voluntarily.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
And uh, We've got a big convention come to town
in September. It's the Fan Expo. This comes here every
year at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
The general will be there, the a G bag, whole crew.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
But man, the lineup for this year? Have you guys
heard anything about who's coming to town this year?
Speaker 1 (24:22):
I have an expo?
Speaker 6 (24:23):
Have you Okay?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
It's usually the same older celebrities. Last year they had
Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Right, Shatner is still
coming to this can you say that? On the air?
William Shatner.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
So I brought up the list because I was blown
away at how many big names are coming. I got
into the fan expo. What happened September. First of all,
you guys can go and say it out loud. Who's
the first one listed here?
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Mel Gibson, Mel Gibson, top billing.
Speaker 6 (24:51):
We've got Elijah Wood, also, Sean Aston, Dominic.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Old eyes of we have the brothers Charlie Sheen and
Emilio Estevez together again.

Dude, Hey for Sutherland, Hey for Sutherland. We have a
bunch of people from the Boys. Here's a carl Urban
fake No, oh, Butcher? Who else the uh?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Ge't wait to go back? Christina? Yeah, oh wow, I
want to go ask about a sunglass. Yeah he's uh yeah,
he's not doing well.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Guys.
Speaker 6 (25:23):
Oh he's got Alzheimer's right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Okay, hold on, I want to talk about this. Certain
people they have the actor's face, and then other people
they have their dumb character from a movie. So like
Nanny Glover is neck, he just has his normal picture
and he's next to some guy from Star Trek, the
next Generation that has pointed ears and crazy eyes and
delphunder looks like Sylvester Stallone.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Daphney Keane from Deadpool, Hell Yeah, Alec Baldwin, Ben ben Man.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
They'll say something horrible at this I would like to
get him on a panel with Mel Gibson. Do we
need him here? And open?
Speaker 6 (26:02):
Carrie stay either Okay?
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Who these people would you most want to have on
the Benskin Show. Dean Norris from Ely, then Josh Holloway
from Lost.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Yeah, they've got a bunch.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Of people from Lost.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
I know.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
I wish they would have grouped them together by show.
That's why I was scrolling down trying to show you, guys,
because there's a lot of people from the Boys.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
We've already had one Dean Norris. It is the entire
cast of the Boys. You're right, that's greaty oh God,
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen are going to be there together.
Why wait, King he comes the comeback.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
You see the son of Gary's Gary right here?
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Yeah, he's got John Elway teeth really his son Starship Troopers. Wait,
what dog is that?
Speaker 6 (26:55):
That's from Deadpool?
Speaker 1 (26:57):
The dog from dead also have the cat.
Speaker 6 (26:59):
From hocus Pocus. I don't understand that.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I feel like they're all going fishing for Benita fish
or something like. Yes, Lieutenant Dangle.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
Thomas Lennon from Reno nine one.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
One goof This is the greatest segment ever. It's almost
too much. Here's my I don't want to ruin a
good time. Oh my god, hold on, dude, look at that.
Those bad guys right there. Scroll up a little bit.
Let me see. No, no, I'm sorry. Down okay, let's see. Yeah,
the goodies bad guy Wow and dude Robert VI or
whatever was also one of the good guys slash bad
(27:33):
guys in die Hard, one of the FBI guys. Oh man,
I have a I have a feeling there's not going
to be a long line to see Martha Plimptons.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
Keep going the Christina, this is, this is I don't
want to ruin everyone's good time. Okay, well, Christina's scrolling
down this list of all the people.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Keep going a little more. Oh, animation, keep going a
little more. Cartoons are going to be there.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Oh hey, goofy movie, keep going, keep going, keep an
keep going. You watched one piece one piece of don't
get caught up. You got I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
There's all right, You're never gonna get there. Oh it says, no,
it's fine. Maybe I'm on a different it says canceled
guest at the bottom.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Oh, let's go. Oh it does Should we carry this out?
Are these people who have been canceled or people that
have canceled? Yeah, I mean if.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
He's gonna get recanceled during this thing, Yeah, you can
tell us who's canceled next. That's sound.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
I want to I want to get I want to
get Baldwin and Gibson on a panel about the Middle
East and just see where that goes. All right, coming
up next? Who is canceled from this convention? Next? All right,
we're gonna have a lebronversation in ten minutes. We'll talk
about the movie obsession here in a bit, but we
got to carry this over. We're just talking about in
the cookie jar. Something huge just coming to town. And Kat,
(28:48):
you have a list of people who are supposed to
be at this convention but now they've canceled.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Yeah, it's just three of them. They're not big names.
It's one of the guys from the Boys and a
couple others. I would I mean, I don't what they're in.
Matthew Lewis, David won them. But the point of it
is that list will grow because every time they do this.
They always promote all these people are going to be
here and then because for ten years, fifteen years, I
(29:13):
will always send him an email though who can And
sometimes they have hooked us up with guests, by the way,
but you know, who are the best guys you have?
I would ask for Charlie Sheen and all the people
and it's never They're never able to come through with
that for us. Of course not you don't because they
don't end up going most of the time. I bet,
I bet we might be able to get Alec Baldwin.
(29:34):
Things have changed for him.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Maybe he's just doing like some house hunters thing now
I don't even think is he really? I mean him
and his wife have a show called My Long Island
Home or something. No, yeah, or maybe it's called I
don't even keep it number the bald Ones or something. Yeah,
it's it's It was on one of those channels and I'll,
you know, Bravo or whatever, and I didn't even know
what existed. And it was him talking about my wife
(29:58):
wants to keep this house on the beach, but I
want to sell it our six kit.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
You know.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
It's like one of those setups. What is the order
of this because I don't think it is top billing.
What It's just a random order, it's not alphabetical.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
The yeah, the list of celebrities fan I think it is.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Top billing, except every level's got one rando.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
Well, for instance, in the rando for out bald when
it says Friday and Saturday, so Friday will be for
Beatle Juice, Saturday will be for thirty Rock.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Oh, Sam Raimi is a big deal. How much do
you think the Alec Baldwin photo op cost? Uh four
hundred and fifty three dollars without going over a photo
with Alec Baldwin? Yep, Oh my god. People are paying
for that? Is it ham or a cardboard cutout? I
think this is how they make their money. No, oh,
(30:49):
one hundred twenty dollars, dude.
Speaker 6 (30:50):
Let's get back to take with them spending one hundred
and twenty dollars for a well picture.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Hold on, let's negotiate and get a group photo that
could be the new bendin Skin promo photos.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
US four and I just said, there's so many disclaimers
on this website with like guests subject to cancelation or
schedule change due to professional commitments. Yeah, so they get them,
they get them to commit to it, and then these
guys like, hey, man, I had some work come up.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
All right, I don't want to do the intro or anything,
but I do want to dive right into this. You
and I have both seen a movie called Obsession. I
randomly saw it. My wife and I were at a
basketball tournament for my daughter where there's like seven hours
between games or whatever, so we just went to the
theater without even knowing if anything was starting soon. Just
so happened that one was starting in five minutes, so
we went and saw it. So I saw it. Skin
(31:34):
and Christina have not seen it, but.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
You have seen it, Katie, Yes, sought over the weekend
the day after I saw The Odyssey. Obsession was made
with a bunch of one million dollars by a guy
who was famous off YouTube for making short films and
videos and things like that.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Would they like what kind of short films were they?
Speaker 5 (31:51):
I don't know, man, Oh yeah, so I know. But
this was not on my radar till the world started
talking about it. Right, But my friend Kent was. He
hos to a movie podcast called Mad About Movies, So
I always asking him, Michael, have you seen it because
he has he's seen every movie, and he goes, yeah, dude,
ten out of ten, it's wonderful, go see it. And
I'm like, okay, man, I'm still not buying it. Uh,
(32:14):
you know, this just feels like something that like it
might be more of a gen Z thing. And then uh,
just do it on not knowing anything about it.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
When you say throw it on. It's available to stream, now, well,
I we don't have ways. Oh it's on peapock. It's
on peacock.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Peapock.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
What is this peapock? My grandpa? Yeah, well pepe and
poo poo. When Tupac becomes real old, he's peapock.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
Fuck, it's on peacock. That's that's my workaround answer. Not
where I watched it, Ben, you and your wife, we
loved it.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I mean it was it was really good. It was
really well done, and uh it was very scary. And
there wasn't any point watching it that I thought, oh
my god, I'm watching something that was made super cheaply.
I agree. I never thought that. Well, there was one
part at the end, but which part I'll just tell
you all fair. I want to say, Okay, what I
did feel like I was watching a movie that was
(33:14):
kind of made for people between the ages of sixteen
and twenty six maybe or something like that. Yeah, so younger.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Yeah, without spoiling anything, the Loose premises there's these four
college kids, two guys, two girls. They're all hanging out
college aged, but it appears like they're from their hometown.
One guy is really wants to tell this one girl,
her name is Nikki, how he feels about her. Okay,
he ends up going to get her a gift because
you said she lost to bracelet, so he's gonna get
her another bracelet.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Right.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
He just got a crush on her. But they're just friends.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
But there's this thing at the store called a one
Wish willow right, and it's just like a toy. It's
a trinket really, but they're like, if you make a
make the wish, it it'll come true. So he gets out,
that's cool, I'll get it, and he opens it up
and makes a wish and his wish is just gorowing
too much. No, his wish is I wish Nicky Freeman
would love me more than anyone else in the world.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Okay, Yeah, it always ends well, and then it turns
into stand it's Okay, the eminem videos that you're doing
this eminem someone's so obsessed they start doing terrible things.
It was because it's it's it's a thriller horror.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
It was not too far down the horror chain that
it was a turnoff for me. Yeah, as a guy
who doesn't really like horror movies. It's not like a
little bit of gore, but it's not overly gory. I
would say, there's a couple of parts, man, but like
it's just fun. Yeah, when you don't know what's gonna happen. Cool,
and the acting's all great, and it's just really cool
and it's an hour and fifty minutes perfect.
Speaker 6 (34:43):
I keep seeing clips of this on Twitter for some reason,
and I'm like, I don't know what movie that is.
Now I do, and it does look fun, So it's awesome.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
All right, Highly recommended. Go watch the Obsession. All right.
Coming up next, let's go around the sports. Let's have
a Lebron versation. He has narrowed it down to four teams.
We'll talk about it next. Before we get there, let's
talk about Reliant air conditioning. Those are good friends over there,
Jeff Stewart. We love the way that they do business.
They do business with integrity. A lot of companies in
their space. Well, you know, you call an air conditioning
(35:12):
company to come to a tune up on your air
conditioning system, which is imperative, especially when you get into
this heat wave we're having now, and they send over
a salesperson, not a technician or that salesperson's there just
to try to upsell you things you probably don't even need.
That's not how they do it at Reliant. Call them
and see the difference. Set up your tune up appointment
today at eight seven seven, your hero. Yeah, and here's
(35:32):
the deal too, Like they can save you money without
gimmicks and stuff. They just have all these different programs
with the manufacturers that they work with, and they can
combine them save you money. We've talked about this. They
can combine four different programs to save you fifty seven
hundred dollars. That's incredible. They want you to get quotes
from their competitors so you can see for yourself how
they do it, which is the right way, providing comfort
to home owners that do not want to be taken
(35:54):
advantage of. Give them a call at eight seven seven,
your Hero, tell them bit and Skin send you eight
seven seven, nine six, seven four three seven are online
at Relyanairconditioning dot com. Ben and Skin Show ninety seven
point one the Eagle. Lots of great stuff coming up
(36:14):
throughout the show, including in the next hour we're gonna
give away those Wheezer tickets. Be listening for your chance
to win. The segment's brought to you by Franklin Frankel,
longtime friends and partners of the Ben and Skin Show.
If you get hurt in a wreck and it's not
your fault, call the Frankeles first two one, four, three, three,
three thirty three thirty three. That number works with eight
one seven as well. But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Now is around the sports KT twins as all the sports.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
Yes, Lebron has apparently whittled down the list of options
that he's gonna sign with to three or four teams,
but it does feel like a bigger mystery than usual.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
But we have got it down to the heat.
Speaker 5 (37:03):
The Cleveland Calves, the Philadelphia seventy six ers, and Golden
State Warriors still have a foot in the last I've heard.
Minnesota's out, but that was a weird one, but it
was still thrown in the mix is a possibility.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
So that's where we are.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
I've been thinking the whole time, Miami Heats where he's
going to go in this thing.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
M hm, mino skin you disagree, Bena, But to see
what you think, man, I always felt like Cleveland made
the most sense just for the symmetry. There's to end
the career there and that you know, if you look
at I think so much of what's fueling him as
PR yes and branding yes, and so he's probably realistic
enough to know, man, I'm probably not gonna win a championship,
(37:46):
and so what would be the best ending to this thing?
It would be a sentimental ending. So I think that's
why Cleveland is the leader in the clubhouse. That's where
he's from, that's where it started. That would be the
best bow on a career from a sentimental standpoint. I
think that makes sense. I think of all those teams,
I think Golden State makes the least amount of sense.
To Ben's point on PR, though, I think there could
(38:08):
be extraordinary pr putting him together with Steph Curry for
two old guys to make one last run. Of those guys,
those two players more than any other players defined the
last two decades of really global basketball. Like what Steph
Curry meant to the NBA is this is not hyperbole
to say it's what Wilt Chamberlain meant to the NBA
(38:30):
in the sixties and seventies. I mean, it's just extraordinary
how that little guy changed basketball. And then obviously Lebron's
if he's not the greatest of all time, he's certainly
top three without argument, right, Like, you don't even have
to spend a lot of brain power supporting that stance.
So I think there's a lot of PR value. And plus,
(38:51):
you know when they did Team USA did win the
Goald a couple of years ago. The end of the game,
it was Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and Bron James paving
the way man, And it was a cool story. Do
you think I agree with that? I could see the
PR value in that too. And except if you're realistic
and you're like, dude, we're gonna get throttled. Unless these
guys their egos are such they're like, dude, we got
(39:14):
to go there, We're gonna win this thing. I think
about that, Like, what is the logic here? I think
Golden State makes the least sense. I think from a
pr standpoint, Cleveland probably makes the most sense. I think,
if he wants to win a championship, I think Philly
makes the most sense. But I don't know how much
that matters to him. My family just loves Miami and
(39:36):
they just want to live there for the next two years. Okay. Well,
you know though, his mom has a gigantic house in Cleveland,
so it's Grandma lives there, okay, and so and you know,
wherever he goes, I'm sure Brian he's going to go.
So like there's I do think that the I think
he wants to win. I think all these things matter,
but I do think more than anything, he wants to
(39:56):
have some audacious you know goodbye that his ahle on
a TV series that Rivals could he hired the same
people that did the last Dance.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
Right, Yeah, he liked playing with Luca, But Luca's got
the ball in his hand the whole time. I was
thinking about that, just like I don't have the ball
the whole time. If he went to Miami almost they
have Jannis now too.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
So I just don't think it's about basketball. I don't either,
And I also don't think what happened in La is
about basketball. I think that's completely about ego and about
respect and the fact that we had a whole story
last year that the Lakers are making plans without Lebron.
He tucked that away and he never wavered off that.
Think about that he waited to let them know that
(40:41):
he wasn't coming back. He could have told them any
point during the year. He waited and grandstanded and made
an announcement, and then Rich Paul went on a pot
like that was all so orchestrated because it was, oh yeah,
I remember when you guys did that to me. I
just drug us through the playoffs as your boy was
sitting at home with another soft tissue injury. Middle finger
to the air. I'm going some. I mean, that was
(41:02):
all ego and respect and all those kinds of things,
which is understandable. Yeah for sure. I mean, and that's
why I like dude. I got I was so wrong.
I got to give him so much credit for being
willing to take less money for this. I thought, never
for a million years is he going to go be
on a team and make less than Daniel Gafford. But
that's why it's not about the money and it's not
(41:23):
about winning, it's about putting the bow on the career
and the pr Yeah, with James Harden. That's pretty interesting,
all right there. Yeah, there's a lebronversation coming up next
and trending and Ben, a new series has beg. It's
begun to evolve on our show. It's this idea that
Skin's buddy and all of our friends, Adam Keck, he
(41:43):
comes up with these hypotheticals coming up next. It's an
off brand Adam Keck hypothetical next on The Eagle. Ah, yes,
you are listening to the world famous Ben and Skin
Show ninety seven point one The Eagle. Thank you to
everyone out there for giving us respect and space and latitude,
just knowing that we can't answer any of the questions
you have for us. We see the same things out
(42:06):
there that you see. We're not allowed to comment on
rumors for now. We're still doing our show here for
today at least, and that's all we can say anything else.
Who want to add to that? I don't want to
touch that. I got a season desist coming up in
ten minutes. It's the today game. But right now, step
for this He's interrational quick Triggord nuclear overreactor.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
He's a masterful storyteller who consistently finds himself drowning in
a sea of awkward.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
It's time for no trund ain't in Ben, all right.
We have a mutual friend of all of ours, very
close to skin. His name is Adam Keck. He comes
up with these wild hypotheticals and it's just the way
his brain works, and I just I think we all
love it, and so I really want to come up
(42:55):
with a whole intro and come up with a whole
bit for this. But and prepping for today's show and
tomorrow's show, I was actually doing some research on these
types of things and hypotheticals. Yeah, hypotheticals and topics that
are similar, man, And I found a honeyspot, dude. I
found a place that everybody should go fishing for these
(43:17):
types of things, and I found some good ones. I
just want to run a few of them by you,
all right, we can just talk through these and keep
in mind Kec is the one who brought us. Would
you rather never be able to whisper again or never
be able to raise your voice again? Which would be
more inconvenient to just not be able to raise your
voice or not be able to whisper. He also was
(43:39):
brought us the one that was which would be harder
to throw a non bread like a peda circle or
a bagette. From what I understand, this is actually up
for consideration for the next Olympics.
Speaker 5 (43:50):
Yeah, and by the way, we should just know this.
If this is going to continue to be a thing,
his ego is going to get out of control.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
As if it wasn't already. Yeah, my god, guy. Wow.
So I found a few that are along these lines,
and I just bring them up here, right, and I
think he'll enjoy these. You have to choose one of
these two things. You have to always wear wet socks man,
(44:18):
or you have to always have a pebble in your shoe. Oh,
I absolutely, without a doubt, would always have a pebble
in my shoe, and I would try to push the
pebble in that little space between my big toe, my
indexed toe and the crevice in there if I could
wedge it in there. But man, athlete's foot sucks so bad.
(44:43):
I do not want to put that powder on my
feet every day for the rest of my life. I
could not do that.
Speaker 5 (44:50):
It's the pebble for sure, and I might someone just
try to do like I've ripped the band aid off
situation and just try to step on it and jam
it in there.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
It's just in my foot forever.
Speaker 6 (45:00):
That's my thing, is how sharp and how big is
this pebble that's in the shoe? But what socks is
probably one of the worst things on the planet. I'm
not doing that.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
What about you? I think wet sox would be just
brutal and I really it didn't like, really unhealthy too.
It's bad for you. Oh you'd get Yeah, you'd get
a mildew or whatever that is on your foot of fungus, Yeah,
permanent fungus on your foot. I know a girl in
college name wet sox is smashed really gross?
Speaker 6 (45:28):
Is that why you like? Hey, why was her name for?
Speaker 1 (45:30):
I don't know it made it up? Oh you're Oh,
that was a fake name for your socks. You didn't
even talk to the ones you paid for. Nope, that's
an interesting courtship. I can't read when my face is
shaking from laughing. Don't say words, take money? Yeah, I
(45:52):
want to do.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
All right?
Speaker 1 (45:54):
How about this? Which fruit would hurt the most? If
someone threw it at you. And this is important because
you might immediately go to like watermelon. Yeah, but you
can't get throw that at a high speed either. Who's
throwing it? It's the Cowboys backup quarterback who could learn
orange Old Joe Milton. You know what this reminds me of? Been,
(46:17):
This reminds me of a real life experience we had
when we were teenage. All right, Yeah, I mean I
one of our friends picked up you know those things,
crab apples, horse apples, Yeah, and he threw it at
close range, as hard as he could at another person
that was about four feet away and about four years
younger than us, and it just exploded off of their thigh.
(46:40):
It was the most death curling scream I've ever heard.
And then that person ran in the house and immediately
ran by a computer in the eighties that was plugged
into a wall. Plug got wrapped around his foot and
yanked the computer off the desk where the man of
the household got. All he wanted to do was play
black jack on that computer. Poker, That's all he cared about. Oh,
(47:03):
he just wanted everybody to leave him alone so he
could play early eighties computer card games and then, man,
when we heard that computer crash. I remember looking at
the guy who threw the crab apple and he had
this look on his face like we're all gonna die,
aren't we. Computers were expensive. Oh there was ten thousand
(47:24):
dollars back then. Ten thousand dollars could buy a house.
What a shade of event. Oh my god? All right,
here's one.
Speaker 5 (47:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Wait, it's a pineapple though, right, Oh, pineapple because it's
got weapons, got a little bag on it.
Speaker 5 (47:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
Oh, a coconut because you may be able to get
some bloszi on that. It's hard. That would have definitely
hurt in the cause of concussion. Or take your nuts out.
All right, here's one, Chris, see I've ever seen my god. Okay,
you have to choose. You can never search for anything
on the Internet or on an app ever again, so
(48:04):
you can never search anything, or you can never use
GPS again. Oh for me, I'd never use GPS. Use GPS, Well,
what's the difference. We can still search and use GPS
to work around No, but this is so it's just
address versus yeah, anything else, Like you can use the

(48:25):

ask people around me.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
Have you guys ever owned a map scow? Yes, okay,
just making sure nice. Yeah, that's good, don't know that's nice?
That's nice? Hell yeah, I thing to ask a group
of women at a bar giant, well, you guys ever

today at five thirty the weekly weekday update. Uh switched
at birth and now ssuming one another. But right now
it's time for this Cowboy surprise.
Speaker 5 (50:31):
Over the past few years, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have
become an even bigger brand because they've got a whole
Netflix series, and an outlet has done some sleuthing to
find out some of the rules that the Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleaders have.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
They did go over a few of them on that
Netflix series, apparently. What is that called appeasing?
Speaker 6 (50:50):
Jerry?
Speaker 1 (50:50):
I can't remember the name of that show. No, I
think it's called America's Sweetheart. Oh yeah, yeah, which is
well done. By the way, my watch is that it's
actually well produced. It's good show. Is it better than
the previous incarnation to Pick of the Litter?
Speaker 5 (51:06):
So here are the twenty three rules of Dallas Cowboys
cheerleaders have. Number one, you have to look well proportioned
in dancewear.
Speaker 6 (51:13):
What let's be proportioned.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
Let's go used to rule on our show. Yeah, well,
you like jugs, and we gotta figure out why you
say it. In this new environment where we can say
we like jugs, is there a way to see more ass?
Speaker 6 (51:27):
But the jugs can't be too big because then that's
out of proportion.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
Yeah, be proportionate. And you know what, baby dolls, whose
proportion is she telling them about? Yeah, you can't be
a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader and have triple f's. I mean
I could be like a practice squad. That just be
bad for your back anyway, Yeah, that's stuff.
Speaker 5 (51:49):
Two, you must wear shades that compliment your natural beauty
when it comes to makeup.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Yeah, now, what does that mean I don't want I
want it to look natural, Kevin, I want the illusion.
I don't want I don't want to know that there's
makeup there.
Speaker 5 (52:05):
These are just down home Texas girls, right, like bright
blue or right I wanted to I want the beauty
to be natural looking.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
Number three, Glitter is a no go boom that should
be in life. There's nothing that glitter did mess up.
Throwing a little glitter into the mix shows. Yeah on,
hold on, listen, hold on. Have you ever seen my
glitter beard? I've seen it, and I just remember growing up,
(52:34):
you're raising a daughter. Whenever they had glitter, it stayed
in the car for years. Yeah, like once glitters in
the mix and go away. It's hard to explain that
to if you get home and there's glitter on your
face at four am, we're uh, well, we were playing
poker and the guys uh, glitter out when somebody won
one of the hands. Those guys are crazy. They were
(52:57):
also wearing perfume paying poker.
Speaker 8 (53:02):
Hey man, the guys we went out and we were
running some routes. Hey, Kati, next time you see my wife,
will you be carrying some glitter around you?
Speaker 1 (53:15):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (53:16):
Your four dancers are told to avoid false eyelashes.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
You can't have those.
Speaker 5 (53:22):
Yeah, Jerry didn't like those heavy eye eyelashes that you
might see on a drag.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
Queen God didn't like false idols. Jerry didn't like false eyelash.
Do you guys really think Jerry's involved in any of this?
I think he wrote every I think he dictated every
one of these. I don't write. These are some of the.
Speaker 6 (53:39):
Jerry commandment.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
This is what I like to called dictating. That's tayting.
Get our lawyer dictating on the phone. Hey, we need
you to avoid spray tnds with orange tones. Yes, that's good. Finally,
Trump is pissed about that. No visible tattoos, Christina.
Speaker 6 (53:58):
Yeah, well that's the only reason I'm not a cheerleader.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Unless it's unless it's the star, and then you have
to pay a royalty. Yeah, then wonder you can have
one tattoo and it's that, but you have to pay
them for it. Here, it'll cost you. Crazy Christine, Were
you ever a cheerleader?
Speaker 6 (54:17):
No, I couldn't. I did try out in like sixth
grade because all my friends were doing it. I couldn't
do a cart will, so I didn't make it. It's okay.
I was on the drill team for a while.
Speaker 1 (54:28):
You were a rock and roll cheerleader.
Speaker 6 (54:30):
Yeah, but I will say this. They say no visible tattoos.
There's plenty of makeup nowadays that you can cover tattoos
pretty easily.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
I use some of that. Can I ask a bad question?
Speaker 6 (54:40):
Shoot?
Speaker 1 (54:42):
What does the drill team do?
Speaker 6 (54:44):
The drill team would go out at half.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
You okay, he's taking it.
Speaker 6 (54:51):
We were more of a dance squad. Cheers would just
be on the sideline cheering the whole time. We would
go out at halftime and do a choreograph.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
I want to find the drill team. I want to
be on the drill team. Well, I mean when I
was eighteen yeah, yeah, yeah, or sixteen yeah. Because I
like to I do a lot of carpentry. I could
have waited two minutes and asked you during the next song. Yeah, iPhone,
well knew it. It was gonna give you. Let's rank
(55:21):
the guys that should be on the drill team. I
have some more rules in coding. Are you allowed to
date other NFL players?
Speaker 5 (55:27):
Next?
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Ninety seven to one the Eagle before we get there.
Thank you to Randy Parrish and Parish Roofing Solutions. Give
them a call right now. Two one four two two
seven eight four eight eight. We're gonna give you the
number a few times. It look big storms hit us
this spring, hail, high winds, heavy rains. Sometimes it can
displace a couple of shingles on your roof and now
you have water getting into your home. That could lead
to major financial repairs. Don't go down that road. Get
(55:51):
somebody up on your roof you can trust. Do not
trust the guys going door to door in your neighborhood.
They're not licensed because there's no licensing for roofers in
the state of Texas. It could literally be anybody. If
they get some poor sucker to you're like, yeah, hop
up on my roof. Tell me if I'm good to go.
Of course they're going to tell you need a whole
new roof. Then they're going to go hire subcontractors to
do the work. That's not even a real company. That's
the difference with Randy Parris. This is a small family
(56:12):
owned business. They're very good at what they do. Call
Randy for all your roofing needs. Two one four two
two seven eight four eight eight. Yeah, and you're gonna
get someone on your team that's just a great all
around dude that can help you a lot of different ways.

takes care of people from here, and he loves that
(56:33):
community bond. He's proud of being from here. And uh,
you know, I've talked about this. I worked with my
dad for a long time. He's electrical contractor. He's like
when you deal with contractors, when they have some longevity,
when they've been around for a few years, you feel
so much better around it, better about them because they've
shown that they can do it, they can meet their commitments.
They're reputable man. Paris Roofing Solutions has been in the
(56:53):
Metroplex for over a decade. That should tell you everything
you need to know. Plus Randy gets the biting skin
seal of approved. Uh, he's a great, great guy. Two

no one's checked your roof in a while, get him
up there. He won't steer you wrong. Two one four
two two seven eight four eight eight or online at
Parishroofingsolutions dot com man. No matter what happens, it has
(57:15):
absolutely been a pleasure being on these airwaves with you,
the historic ninety seven point one, the Eagle. Uh, thinking
about all the all the people that have come before us.
Uh kid Cratick, Yeah, I used to do his showing
the Eagle right. Yeah, the great Russ Martin, he was
on at Night's Kid was so uh Man, just been
awesome being a part of this. We'll see how things unfold. Uh,
(57:35):
coming up here in ten minutes. We'll get into some
white people phrases before we do. It's time for this.
Are you excited?
Speaker 5 (57:44):
And now?
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Goods?
Speaker 5 (57:46):
Time for this Sweet Day Day featuring veteran news anchor
kt fun Tweets. I could tell you the story, but
ABC News has a pretty good story on this, and
it involves a couple of fellas who have discovered with
their family through DNA test that they were switched at
(58:07):
birth thirty eight years ago. Okay, so in nineteen eighty eight,
I'm a thirty eight year old man, I can tell you, gotcha.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Here's the story, and trying to strengthen his grip on
power in Nicaragua. It's a different story that it's apparently
not the one I needed that story. I think it
matters though.
Speaker 5 (58:22):
Were these Nicaraguans No, Okay, So basically that they are
accusing a North Dakota hospital of robbing them of their
life that they were supposed to live, which I think.
You know, the fact that both of them are doing
this tells me it didn't go well for either one
of them, because usually you'd think maybe one of the two,
one of the two had a.
Speaker 1 (58:42):
Really good life.
Speaker 5 (58:43):
He's like, I'm fine with it, and the other ones
like the hell, but both of them had crappy lives.
You had silver spoons.
Speaker 6 (58:51):
Well, but imagine the shock of the mom especially and
the dad like, wait, I'm sorry, you gave us the
wrong baby.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
Yeah, that's why I didn't love this.
Speaker 5 (59:00):
So Kyle ill, let's use first names make it easier.
Kyle discovered his birth family because he took an at
home test that he during a Christmas gift exchange on
one of those oh my god. Yeah, so that led
to his biological aunt, so they found her. Her nephew
then had a DNA test. His name is Jeremy, and
(59:23):
it was very clear, Oh my, that's not my real nephew.
That's my real nephew. Wow, then they start trying to
piece it together. Now, these two guys, Kyle and Jeremy
still have not met as of this article.
Speaker 1 (59:36):
So where do they live?
Speaker 5 (59:37):
North Dakota? He grew up in Northdakota. I don't where
they live now. So basically they went to track this down.
They were the only babies born on that day in
the hospital January twenty sixth, nineteen eighty eight, four days
after I was I tell you, I was the only
baby born in the Archer City Hospital. You know we
hospitals or there ain't much happening there. Yeah, it's gotten
(01:00:00):
worse and a lot of times they're out of business.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Now. When you said North Dakota, I was thinking, probably
not too populated. So they went home with the wrong parents.
It's as simple as that.
Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
The hospital statement said there's no evidence that staff was
responsible for the switch, but they didn't have the records
to prove it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
That's awful. That's some hill buildings.
Speaker 6 (01:00:24):
Yeah, and like just those are the only two babies born.
You wouldn't think.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
It'd be not hard, right? You can't get that? What
so can't get that right? Kyle?
Speaker 5 (01:00:34):
Now, Kyle was born Jeremy because that's what his parents
were going to name him. He's born Jeremy, and they
took home the wrong baby. And let's be honest, babies
when they're new look alike.
Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Yeah, yeah, they're all pretty worthless.
Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
So someone didn't put the tag, the tag on the
the of they kind of are theydn't tag their ear
a little bit like that?
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
They put it give them a bracelet. It ain't different
than tagging an ear. Yeah, it's a lot different actually,
but it's actually a lot different than putting something in
someone's ear on it. It's on the ear.
Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
Yeah, it's an it's on a big of a deal.
You can tell you don't work with cows much. I
have to go work with cattle here, and then you
gotta tag their ear here.
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
And then white person praise coming up? Yep.
Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
So are they're suing just for holy crap, My whole
life's been.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
A lie, like they just discovered. I mean, the whole
world's been rattled. Yeah, they gotta switch wives. Now, I'm sorry,
I don't know the rules to this. Jeremy's like, hell, yeah,
Kyle's wife is hot. My wife got big.
Speaker 8 (01:01:48):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Now the mom in one of these cases is Kyle
is still my son. That's never gonna change. But this
other one looked real good.
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Don't you just say? Don't you? This is easy for
for us to say right, or me to say yeah,
don't you just say? You know what? This is how
it played out, and it was a tough deal.
Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
No to go meet. I'm not trying to go meet
a bunch of new people. I'm forty. In my life,
it's all been done. Yeah, well I gotta go meet
some more family.
Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Now, what's that? I want this premise to be a
Coen Brothers movie and I wanted to end in murder?
Speaker 6 (01:02:22):
How did they not notice they didn't look like them?
Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Like?
Speaker 6 (01:02:24):
You all, you have no features of me.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Or your dad, But I mean, well, dad traveled a
lot newborn. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:02:32):
I think I think a lot of people just get
excited about their newborn and start talking about features.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
It's really I think grandparents, I mean, growing up though events,
growing up.
Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
Yeah, something's gonna show.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
Do you have a great uncle that looked like that?
Because he don't look like Yeah. I wonder if these
two guys look alike.
Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
There's no pictures of them, but I wonder if they
look like I mean if they look close enough to you, like,
I kind of couldn't tell except to North Dakota guys.
Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Is there anyone they can too? Is there any money
here to be had for anyone? Like who you possibly sue?
Maybe the doctor made a lot of money.
Speaker 5 (01:03:05):
The hospital said they're not disputing that the babies were
switched at some point, but they're like, we don't know
that we did it. You know, They're like, there's no
evidence that we did it. Let's try to figure out
what happened. There's the evidence that we did it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
But also, so there was two babies born on that
day in North Dakota. Did these guys not grow up
together or like one school over?
Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
Well, do you know what I'm saying? I mean, I don't.
Speaker 5 (01:03:27):
I mean, I didn't go to the school of the
hospital I was born in. Okay, small towns, you just
go to the nearest. Would you go to either the
nearest one, or you have a you might have a
family member who has recommended that, or it's just you know,
and these towns are fifteen twenty minutes away from each other,
so it's not that's not crazy to me.
Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
These guys might have played each other in sports, Yeah,
maybe all right, there you have at the weekly week
day update coming up next kat, we're you gonna take
us in the big finish.
Speaker 5 (01:03:52):
And I stumbled on something that hit at home. White
people phrase us yep, huh yeah, next to ninety seven
one of the Eagle.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
What day is this? But let's talk about the Frankeles.
If you've been involved in a wreck, you need to
reach out to the Frankeles. The number is two one
four three three three three three three three three three
three three three. Just DIALOL three for the Frankeles number number.
You've been in a wreck and now you're net, so
(01:04:23):
it's time to call the lawyers that really work. Yeah, sorry,
I love this entirely. Yeah, and hey, hey man, hey man,
get out of our spot, you son of a business.
That was a nice little counterparty came up with. Yeah
uh two one four three three three thirty three thirty three.
You've been involved in a wreck. It's not your fault.
You need help. These are local guys standing by now
(01:04:45):
ready to take your call. Good friends of ours, which
is why they won't demand their to cancel their entire
ad by because we're goofing off with the phone number.
We love these dudes, good good friends of ours. Just
remember it costs you nothing to call the Frankeles local
guy standing by now two one fourth, three, three, three,
thirty three, thirty three remember all threes or check them
out online at truck wreck dot com. Yeah, and here's
(01:05:05):
the deal. You're getting thirty years of experience, thirty years
of expertise, thirty years of excellence. What they've been doing
is with no out of pocket expenses to their clients,
they've been representing them, fighting for them, basically advocates for
injury victims, getting them what they deserve, making sure they
get the medical attention they need, and really trying to
fix a bad situation. You get hurt because someone else's
(01:05:26):
negligent or carelessness. That sucks. That's not fair. You need
someone fighting for you because the insurance companies won't. Has
been so eloquently saying two one four or eight one
seven in all threes for Frankel and Frankel Chosen by
the people and feared by the insurance companies. Fre NK
e L Call Frankel, first Ben and skin Show ninety
(01:05:47):
seven point one the Eagle. This segment's brought to you
by Rollertown beer Works, which Ben and I are partners
in that brewery and Frisco on Main Street. A nice
little Dallas Observer article just came out talking about Rollertown
being one of the best venues in town for music.
That was really cool. It was a nice little ride
up and if you want to see what that's all about,
(01:06:08):
you love ac DC. We got a great ACDC tribute
act this Friday night, back in Black, the Ultimate ACDC
Tribute Act. They're gonna be throwing down. And then the
next night, Saturday, we have Jaws and Floats where we're
going to be transforming the backyard into Amity Island. It's
going to be a drive in style with floaty pools
and maybe some sharks as we show Jaws, and of
(01:06:30):
course all of that with fresh local beer, great cocktails,
delicious food. So proud of that location and has beens
mentioned many times before. If you're out and about and
you see our beer on tap somewhere, grab one of those.
Post it on social media. We'd love that. We'd love
the interaction. Ask your favorite watering hole or restaurant if
they don't carry Rollertown to carry it. That means a
(01:06:50):
lot to us. That's a Rollertown beer works in Friscope.
Right now, it's time for this kill that And that's
a big, really big all right. I stumbled upon this
article that was looking at. It's one of those things.
Speaker 5 (01:07:10):
Where I get a bunch of people offer their feedback.
It's funny, just a big collection of comments. But I
was just like, this is funny. We can play on
this a little bit. And it is a white people phrases.
But you know, there were books that were made back
in the day white people problems things like that. You know, Yeah,
white people phrases. Are you guilty of any of these?
Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
I'm pretty white, so I'd say, yeah, a lot of
them are probably gonna be just coming out of my mouth.
I thought I been on the first one, all Ben, Alright,
I wonder which crutch this is? It? Could it could
be circle back to it. I was gonna say circle back.
That was the first one I had in my brain.
Speaker 5 (01:07:45):
That's more business. I think I think the office gets
that one before white people will get it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
Yeah, but yes, okay, I've had it up to hear.
Speaker 6 (01:07:55):
Yeah, that's just a dad phrase.
Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
Its white dad. Free use that in bits though, really yeah. Yeah,
And also in movie posters. Yeah, it's such a stupid
thing to say.
Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
Yeah, uh, this is one I'm going to bring back
as a newsman. I think I should a newsflash, buddy,
That is a white guy thing. Let does buddy get
attached to the end of the day? What is a newsflash?
A newsflash?
Speaker 4 (01:08:23):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
This let us thing is wiping people out. It does
make you like it causes you to pause and go,
oh my god if I missed something news flash? Have
you seen the gas prices? Wait, so where does the
flash come from? Hey, hey, get a load of this guy,
which really is an obscene thing to say. It really is.
(01:08:47):
That's hr right. You can ask guy Lean about that exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
I feel like some of these are like that one
qualifies as one as a white person phrase that you
can use while leaning on one like yeah, with the
lot elbow at him, We'll get a old.
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Of this guy. Eileen to bring it back full circle,
might have had it up to here, Yeah she had. Yeah,
I mean they were all dancing around or singing that
song planning business deals in Tokyo. Hey, you can't just
waltz in here and say things like that, Oh walts
(01:09:25):
in here? Yes, who do you think you are waltzing
in here?
Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
What is that? Wait?
Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
I'm doing a three step dance. I'm doing a one
two three dance in here. You just can't come in
here break dancing in here. It doesn't work any other way.
You just can't two step in here. I think you can.
Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
It's waltz. Just can't mockarena in here. Yeah, walt is
the only thing that works. Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
Look, I understand if you've got an issue with it.
But you're barking up the wrong tree, buddy.
Speaker 8 (01:09:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Yeah, Well he barked up trees. So is dog chasing
a cat in that scenario or squirrel? I think it
like a hunting dog. Dogs like old Yello or whatever,
and they've chased the raccoon up in the tree, but
they're like, not even barking at the right tree. Dumb dog.
It's that tree over there, idiot dog.
Speaker 5 (01:10:09):
Now, some of these come across as the parenting, like
we did White Dad. Have you ever told your kids
that they're on thin ice? Exeph Oh my god, I've
been told that my entire life. Dad were in Texas.
That's one that ends with buddy.
Speaker 6 (01:10:24):
Yeah, I think start, buddy, you're on thin.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
Ice or Buster. Sometimes sometimes double buddy, Buddy, you're on
thin ice, Buddy. My dad hit me with Buster. No,
I don't think either of my other brothers got hit
with that. You're on thin ice Buster.
Speaker 6 (01:10:40):
That's funny. I've heard that while.
Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
Did you ever tell your kids that they were cruising
for a bruising No? No, but I remember hearing that.
I never did because I wasn't in the gang in Greece. Yeah,
who would ever use that? Why did I hear it?
Like out of a musical or something? Birds, Hey, she's
cruising for a bruising dandy?
Speaker 8 (01:10:58):
She is? She is.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
It's it's the fifties. Okay, so it Travolta. So yeah,
I sa urban cowboy. That's right. That's right, Oh, Sissy,
one of the great cowboys of all time. I'm sorry
I hit you, Sissy. I'm just too prideful. I think
there's a character in that in that movie named uncle
Buddy Uncle Bud. Maybe maybe his uncle Bud Uncle Bud.
(01:11:25):
That was it?
Speaker 5 (01:11:25):
Okay, this is one of my favorite ones. And I'm
imagining I'm imagining a diner here, you know, having a
little breakfast with the guys. Maybe you're playing some playing
some cards, you're reading the paper.
Speaker 6 (01:11:37):
You know these guys are retired in a sports sections.
Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
You never know. Well, I'll just let anyone in here
these days. Huh Bob, how the hell are you?
Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
That is such an old white man thing. I can't
remember anyone saying that. You know, you know when they
do it too, they say it as they say it,
they go and they shake your hand, they break every
bone in it. I can't remember anybody saying that that's
below the age of like thirty, or below the age
of fifty five. Even right now.
Speaker 6 (01:12:10):
I'm not guilty of that. But as soon as someone
walks up, look at this guy, this guy, this guy,
it's so bad.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Hell the hell are you you? Son of a bitch? Yeah? Yeah,
And then when you shake their hand and you're breaking it,
your other hand grabs their wrist. Yeah yeah, like you
were just rolling tape on my dad to get hold.
Speaker 8 (01:12:30):
Of these.
Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Oh are you you son of a bitch? I love
that one. Uh any G's Louis's Jeez, Louise. Yeah, I
still say that. I don't know why tech is always Yeahez, Louise,
didn't they Yeah, I'm why.
Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
These weather man That's why they get paid the big bucks. Yeah,
to predict that it's going to be one hundred and
twelve for the next two weeks. I actually hope that
Huila is getting a very good wage. I know they've
got a budget issues there because of delcass income.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
Yeah, I do hope he's making a nice wage. Yeah too,
he deserves a very good, nice wage. He just sounded
like a chimneys.
Speaker 6 (01:13:13):
Of the white people freeze them.
Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
Could you give me a nice wage to clean your chimnake?
Speaker 5 (01:13:19):
Look, I'm just I'm just trying to make a point
that Delcas is squeezing him a little bit of Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
That's fair. He is taking up a lot of their
cap space. He takes out a lot of that juice
and the deal they did with Lawrence that they can't
get out of. Is that too personal? I think he's
a nice guy. Delcas is making the Supermax for sure,
and you can only have one one of those on
your team. But you're to be fair. They're building around him. Yeah.
(01:13:46):
Oh for crying out loud, Oh the internal crying that
for crying out loud, I'd love to see someone not
white say that. Oh for crying out loud? Why do
we do that? A vader shuffle the deck.
Speaker 6 (01:14:04):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
Hey, this is one. This is very old school too.
Here I beg your pardon, yep, what I do that?
Before I get involved in a fencing duel, I tend
to say that, I beg you'll.
Speaker 5 (01:14:22):
Catching up with someone they've been working, been working hard
or hardly working.
Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
That's hilarious. That's a great one.
Speaker 8 (01:14:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
People that use that phrase tend to not live long.
Oh what do you mean? What do you think? There's
stats that back that you can get murdered for saying that.
If you wanted me, if I want to have this wire,
that's what did in my computer. Sometimes you ask for it. Yeah, Hey,
hand me that wire, Hand me that wire. What would
(01:14:53):
you say, hand me the hand me the cord. M
I don't think I've ever been in that situation. I
can't imagine I would need that.
Speaker 5 (01:15:01):
We're not playing along with it. Hand me that thing, bob,
hand me that watch you McCall, why did we make
those that?
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
You can't just do that. You can't just combine the
words a great candy bar, by the way, I mean,
if you're someone in your family tree came up with
one of those words or phrases. That'd be a badge
of honor. You know, my great great grand dad came
up with thing Bob. It's true because the last name
(01:15:31):
matches up. This is way different, but still the same.
Speaker 5 (01:15:34):
As a girl in high school claimed that her seventh
great grandfather wrote the Star Spangled bander star Spangled banner,
Francis Scott Key, and I was like, prove it?
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
Then what happened?
Speaker 6 (01:15:49):
The young tear down turner.
Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
One?
Speaker 5 (01:15:53):
Is?
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
I like the idea of many it you can't match
up common last name. No, we claim to produce the
Star Spangled Band. It was just a conversation that he
added to the song. No, I do I think that's
true because I remember Francis Scott Key had a lot
of out of wedlock children, So that does make sense
to You're a great ground when we were looking to
settle in Texas. Yeah, yeah, uh yeah. Look at what
(01:16:15):
the cat dragged in. That's a good way to end it.
That's a bunch of baloney. You got more you want
to save them for yesterday. What I'll never forget the
time that Kat looked thing I'm of Bob dead in
his eye. He whipped it out and he said by
the way they have cut out the nose wipe touchdown Selvi,
(01:16:35):
Why was that in a side? Why was that by
the way, well, what was being discussed where you had
to pivot and squeeze that as when we had President
Bush and he was telling him, Christina, are you gonna
stick around and play music? Sounds good? Hang with the homegirl, Christina.
Next right here on the eagle. There you going. You're sorry,
I'm gonna get some cheeks after this horse College point. God,
(01:16:58):
