Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, everybody, before you jump into the Wednesday version of
the Bin and Skin Show, I want to give you
a heads up. Ben is disappearing for a while. You've
heard him talk about it. You can speculate as to
why that is happening. But he's not gonna be on
the air Thursday and Friday, and so we are actually
gonna do a bunch of music segments on Thursday and Friday,
and we can't podcast those because of music licensing rights

(00:22):
and all that sort of stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
So we're gonna wait.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
The Friday show is gonna be doubled together with the
Thursday show, so we have to wait until we do
the Friday show, which we're doing on Friday. You can
see how this will work, So there won't be a
Thursday podcast, but there will be a Friday and it
will be combining the Thursday and Friday show that doesn't
have music segments because there's gonna be a bunch of them.
But listen live and you'll understand why it's gonna be

(00:45):
so much fun. We have a pop punk bracket and
so much more for you. We just can't podcast it.
So anyways, that's what's gonna happen. So don't send Kati
an email and.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Go, hey, man, how come you to doubload.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
The podcast because we're not uploading it on Thursday. We're
doing the double dip Friday. Okay, I'll shut up now
and you can listen to the podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Thanks for listening' I won't do that all right with
epic with I show, you're gonna ruling it be exact.

It's time to do this.

(02:16):

what's been going on, but I have been This will
be my last show for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
I'd like to think that some of my colleagues would
step up for me, and but everyone's involved in their
own controversy here right now, and it's I get that,
but I will not be on the show.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
This will be my last show for quite some time.
I'm just trying to cover my own ass at this point.
I took the season to sist. Seriously, you did not so.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Not saying anything? KT do you want to not say anything?
I just want to say thanks to everyone who's been
reaching out.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah. But other than that, what do you think I am?
Here's some tabloid. He's something like Rumormongerer. Yeah, well, I'm
just a guy who's trying to get through one day
at a time. Christina, do you have anything he'd like
to say?

Speaker 6 (03:07):
Do I saw my night show?

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Well, all that's to be determined. But let's have today's show.
Let's have a great show today. Last night I was
talking to my son in our kitchen and he was
microwaving some food, and he brought up a question, because
you're looking at the microwave and he's setting a time
and he's putting some food in there to heat up,
and he.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Asked me, what do you think is the least used
number on a microwave.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
That's a pretty good question, right, you have ten choices, right,
one through nine and zero.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
I don't know if you guys have a standard go
to procedure. What I like to do is almost everything
I microwave. I microwave for forty seven seconds.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
What interesting is that? Because of dexter clinkscale.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Just knowing that, you know, I'll bring the strength of
our microwave versus the strength of our refrigerator based on
the foods my wife's making, forty seven seconds will get
her done.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Interesting, that's the sweet spot. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
No, I go for the thirty second auto click, the
thirty seconds done.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Okay, that's an extra button. No, you're not pushing any numbers.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
It's just one button, right, But.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
You're not clicking a zero through nine. You a skew
the numbers. You don't even need the numbers.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
No.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, for me, if you hit the one, it makes
it one minute. So I hit the one. I try
to do one or two quick chores and then remember
that I have something in the microwave and go back
to it. The beat doesn't tell you. But wait, you're
trying to catch it before it finishes. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
Oh so you're trying to do what I do forty
seven seconds, but you're too lazy to enter a four
and a seven.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Usually probably only needs fifteen to thirty seconds, depending what
it is, right, Yeah, what are we talking about? Yeah,
it depends what it is.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
But I want to push that big giant mechanical button.
I want to push it in with one second left
so it doesn't make the sound to wake my wife
up at two thirty in the afternoon.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
But she's getting important sleep because she has other sleeping
to do.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, she's in the car right now.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
She hates me so much. I'm with her on that.
She hates me. Yeah, she's like, why couldn't you be
the one that goes away? Okay?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
So, uh, do you guys have a theory though on
what is the least used number on a microwave?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I know what it is.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
I do too. What is it's eight? It's no one
ever hits eight?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
What do you think that ever? Because they don't, just.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Like, why what would you hit an eighth for?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:40):
What we'll use nine because a lot of people just
out of bits instead of punching in a minute, they'll
do fifty nine, Yes, fifty nine seconds. Watch it, I
would say. So, she said, she's in the same number,
but she does not like your reasoning.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
What is your reason?

Speaker 6 (05:56):
They are more like they are more likely to hit
like a five nine or three nine versus a three eight?
What are you? You're a serial killer?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Right? I think?

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Okay, I could see that, But for me, again, forty
seven is the sweet spot. So I wouldn't do forty eight,
and I wouldn't do a clean fifty because I'd overcooked it.
I mean, I just can't see a scenario whence you
take nine, because it seems like you would always just
go to the next level. Instead of hitting five to nine,
you would just hit six zero.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
There is that whole thing too, where you're like, okay,
wait a minute, because after a minute you go to seconds.
So why wouldn't I just put seventy in there and
it's supposed to be a minute ten?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Why do I have to put one one? Oh? Yeah,
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Yeah, do you have a reasoning for why you think
it's nine, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
It just doesn't feel like a very useful number most
of the time. But it's a multiple of three. Yeah,
it is a multiple healthy the fact about the number, Okay, Yeah,
I wonder about like, uh, is there.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
If my wife doesn't put a huge amount of effort
into cooking a meal, so I still have to act
like it's good because I'm grateful.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
You know what I'll do, I'll just yes, has a
song about it, actually really or a line about it
in a song.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yet you don't have to say anything, but you can
just quietly push yourself away from the table and walk off.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
And then you want not gonna make something. I'm busy
making all the money. I got a door dash an
incredibly expensive dinner. No, what I'll do is, I'll sit
there and I'll look at it and I'll nod. I'll
just slowly push away from the table. I'll walk out,
I'll get into the car and I'll drive off without
saying a word. My wife makes these things in the crockpot,

(07:41):
and it's just like, let's roll the dice, let's throw
a bunch of stuff in the crockpot, and then she's
gone for the whole day and then we all back
home at seven, let's see what we got, and like
some of it is so burnt, it's like it's been
scalding for two extra hours. And I'm like, I don't
know how to act like this is I know my
role here is I have to act like I'm grateful.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, but this is really more of a setback.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
What about when you look into trash and on top
of it is an old powdered mushroom gravy packet that
was put in the crockpot, and it's just sitting there
looking at you, like say nineteen eighty four on it, like.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
We know that crock pots are you're faking it right,
Like it's not you're not really cooking, and then you're
throwing a bunch of stuff in a crockpot.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's basically it's like a trash.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
Can you know it's and going back to going back
to what we were talking about yesterday afternoon on white
guy phrases, Yeah, man, that's a crock right.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
That's a that's a crop.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
But if you if you start off with something that
my wife has burnt in a crock pot and then
I have to microwave it after like, we're better off
just two door dash situations. What about when she recycles
it for a breakfast burrito the next morning?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Christina, what are your thoughts on that sounds delicious?

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Actually, do you have.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Any marital advice for us or for our wives?

Speaker 5 (08:56):
No?

Speaker 6 (08:57):
I'm not married, so I can't speak.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
What about relationship advice?

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Do anything you want to say to us as you
represent women in this conversation.

Speaker 6 (09:04):
Yeah, if you don't like they're cooking, then you can
cook at yourself.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, Ben, I was just sitting here thinking about the
fact that my wife hates me so much he can't
feel emotion anymore.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Giving up.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Next, what are you tracking skid Man? This is one
of the most interesting actors. I want to know more
about him. And here's a crazy story from his past.
We have audio. Did you know this? I'll tell you
what it is next.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Before we get there.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
Thank you to Frankel and Frankel, Mark Frankel, Scott Frankel,
and Jean Briquette. These are the lawyers you need to
call if you've been involved in a wreck that's not
your fault. These are our guys, our good friends. We
love these dudes. They're always nominated for Best Attorneys in
Dallas and d Magazine each one of them. And it's
no surprise, but it's more than the awards, Like they
are really good for their clients. And I know because
I was one got into a horrible wreck. I called

(09:48):
the Frankeles from the scene. They fought the other side,
set up the MRIs and at the end of it
all got me a nice cash settlement. It's what they do, baby,
Give them a call as soon as you get hurt
in the wreck two one four, three, three, three, thirty three,
thirty three or eight one seven in all threes, get
them on the case. They're advocates for injury victims and
they fight for you with no out of pocket expenses
for you. So if you get hurt in the wreck,

(10:10):
on the job site, even like a dog attack where
this is not your fault. Now you have these issues,
they fight for you because the insurance companies will not
experience family owned, local, highly awarded, great people and partners
with the benin skin show see for yourself. It's Franklin
Frankel two one four, three, three, three thirty three thirty
three chosen by the people and feared by the insurance companies.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Fire NK, e L Call Frankel First.

Speaker 1 (10:37):

(10:58):
some insights into the new Will Ferrell Show. Is this
good or bad? We'll talk about it in fifteen.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
But first another edition of things.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Let's go around the room.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
We'll start with you, KT. What do you think of
when I say Sean Penn signor Sean Penn, I think
of El Chapo, the drug lord. Okay, is there? Do
you have any feelings about Sean Penn? Good, bad and different?

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Pretty indifferent? Thought he was great in one battle after another? Yeah, which,
by the way, I will say I did like one
battle after another more than the odyssey and obsession, which
we've talked about the last two days on the show. Okay,
I still like one battle after another more than those
Ben your Shan Penn thoughts. Uh.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
I think Sean Penn is a great actor. I enjoy
him and pretty much everything I'm in except interviews with him, Okay, Christina.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
Yeah, the latest interviews have been kind of cringey with him.
I don't know what's going on health wise.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
I think you're ripped.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Yeah, I think of one battle after another, and I
kind of feel like he does fit that character pretty
well and probably does way too many.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Drugs, so he's you know. And then the Charlie Sheen
documentary he was so intense and weird. He's always been
a very intense guy, and I think for a lot
of people, too intense, and they don't like how political
he is. But he is one of those guys that
put your money where your mouth is. Something's going bad, Okay,
I'll actually be boots on the ground at a hurricane Katrina,

(12:23):
or I'll actually go into a war zone, and I
really don't believe it's Hey, look at me. I think
he's just the most convicted guy ever, even if he's misguided, right,
So I just whether you agree with him or not,
I at least think he's a compelling guy. Now, he
was a bad boy of Hollywood when he was young
and getting in all and he's also came from a
Hollywood family. His dad was a director. His older brother

(12:46):
was in movies, but then he had a heart attack.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I think he did too much coke.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
But anyways, here he is in an interview with Vice
News about some time he spent in jin Pop jail
in Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
And here is a crazy story that made me think
of Ben.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
Many years ago when I was in Los Angeles kind of.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Jail for a while.

Speaker 7 (13:04):
Richard Ramirez was there the whole time, and I was
twice had access to him.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
And sorry, how old are you when this happens? Twenty
four twenty five something? So you this is after taps,
after fast Yeah, I'd already shot colors. I was married
to Madonna time. So you're a star and you're in
jail for thirty four days? Yeah, and do they you
because they want money extortion?

Speaker 7 (13:27):
But yeah, I got moved out general population because of
some kind of threat that they not a great jail,
and a lot of guys on this department have also
you know, they invest a lot and pretending not to
give about Hollywood culture, but they sure do you like
to gossip and they see so I slept with one
eye open.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Of course, I was in a room with a lot
of you know, like a big dorm. Yeah, but then.

Speaker 7 (13:51):
I got moved to eight and a half by eleven,
by myself for the most of the time, and through
a little wire glass door there's Richard Ramirez.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Not twenty feet away.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
I'm both insomniacs, but I came out of myself for.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
A phone call.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
So they take you shackle and belly chain and they
take one cuff off, put on the eyehook so that
you've got a hand for the phone. And ramiez to
see you right next to me, he's going to take
a do a call. Also, there's nobody else there. There's
nobody in there because somebody was throwing feces at somebody.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
It was crazy kind of thing happening. And I did
have that question, you know, I knew what he did
to some of these people.

Speaker 7 (14:32):
This wasn't today's phones, you know, this is or your
cell phone, right this is I'm right next to him.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I could, I could find him, but who was who
was I could?

Speaker 7 (14:46):
It's it was just another person. And I'm so glad.
I didn't think I was important enough to do that.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
But you have to think you have the thought.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
All right, Old, he's saying he wasn't worried about Richard
Ramirez killing him. He was worried about him killing Richard Ramirez.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I think what he was saying about the phone was
he was considering picking up that phone, think about the
size it was in the late eighties, picking it up
and bashing Richard Ramirez's head in with it. Yeah, And
that's the And that's what he was sitting there thinking about.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
Wow, as he was whatever twenty feet away from him,
So he's psychotic.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
It sounds like he was right next to him, right, yes.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
And you know, again different era, this late eighties or
early nineties, whenever this was. We probably look at twenty
see how he was when he's But it is weird
that he was married to Madonna and spent thirty four
days in jail, Like that's pretty crazy, right. But he
also he used to you know, I mean, we know
he did tons of drugs and drank. He would attack paparazzi, like,
he would physically assault them when they would come up

(15:47):
to him. So I don't know the full story, but
I think it has something to do with that.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I just remember all that at the time coked up,
he's gonna go attack.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
But this is the classic hypothetical of would you have
killed baby Hitler?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
But this is after the fact. Yeah, yeah, he would.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
Be Sean would have been in prison for Yeah, but
he would have been the guy that killed Richard Ramirez.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
God, that would seem like it would have been a
waste of a life. He's already going to be in
jail for the rest of his life anyways.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
And then you know, he won an Academy Award for
dead Man Walking, where he played a guy on death row.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
But I'm with you, I don't think he's doing look
at me, Look at me. I think he's just being honest.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
I think he's crazy, and which is pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Keep in mind in this interview he is still just
as jacked up, if not more than he was. I
mean his arms are just exploding like the rock as
he's having this interview, veins everywhere.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
He's right, he's real.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Veiny right another, Yeah, when he had to get up,
he fascinating.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
All right, There you have it. There's things Skin is
tracking coming up? Next? Is Will Ferrell still funny? All right? Christina?

Speaker 5 (16:59):
We got a cookie jar are coming up in ten minutes,
Where are you gonna take us?

Speaker 6 (17:02):
We're gonna talk about silently judging people, all right, We're
coming up in ten minutes after that, we'll have another
audio bubble bath.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
There is a new Kelly Clarkson Poo poo story, so
it demands our attention. But right now it's time for
this inter teams.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
All right. So the new show on Netflix called The
Hawk starring Will ferrells out dropped ten episodes created by
David Gordon Green as well the guy who did He's
spounding down and other things. Did he do Vice Principals
or was that that Jonah Hill guy? He did Vice
Principals too? Yeah? Yeah, I love that show. So he
had Pineapple Express as well as the movie from richards

(17:43):
and went to Richardson High School. Will Ferrell's a golfer
who's on the corn Ferry Tour and he's just kind
of a big screw up, but he's trying to get
it together. His son is on the PGA tour and
killing it now by the way, and this show, Oh okay,
so there's your storyline.

Speaker 8 (17:58):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
He's supposed to be the guy? Oh right, he's supposed
to be him? Uh yeah, based on uh. I think
it's loosely a little John Daily to it. Yeah, not
like fully, but yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah, just kind of how Eastbounding Down was sort of
John Rocker but not really.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah. Yeah. And he's crazy and he's not a good
golfer anymore. And he's a bad guy like it's and
that's kind of hard to watch Will Ferrel not be
like like him just being a scumbag is not fun.
It's weird, but he's too likable. Yeah, and maybe it'll
come around. There's some funny things that happen that are
just classic Will Ferrell stuff, right, and there's some things

(18:36):
you go, Okay, that's a little munch. So we're still
waiting to see how this evolves. I'm only through two episodes.
I pulled some audio of a couple of things, though,
because I did want to prove to the world that
he is still funny. Okay, because this show is getting
killed from people who've seen the whole thing. I mean,
then you've saw how much of it and turned it off.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
I saw like the first ten or fifteen minutes of
the first episode, and I was like, man, this is garbage.
And I remember going into it where skin was skeptical
of it, and I'm sorry, come on, it's uh, it's
Will Ferrell. Man, he's the goat. But we started looking
up the last time that he really did anything it
has been a while, and man, it just didn't do
anything for me.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah, it's uh, this is it's been a rough couple
a couple of first two episodes with with's a few
moments that are.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Let me, let me just say, I did not know
this was a David Gordon Green thing, and I'm really
intrigued by that. But he has a high miss rate
there you go, like when he misses, he falls off
a cliff, misses.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
There's a lot of things that have happened. I mean,
Will Ferrell did a movie that we all thought would
funny as him and Amy Poehler called the House and
they were having a little casino in the basement of
their house, and he got like twenty percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Yeah,
it's hard to know. I never saw it, but I
probably should go see it. It's funnier.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
I just watched it again recently with my wife Winter. No,
not a great movie, uh, but it's there are good
parts to it.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
That's that's my where we're at in his career. We
need we need good compilation tapes.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
It's almost like he's a pitcher and every once in
a while he throws a badass pitch.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Really okay, but he may have given up twelve runs already.
I have a theory on this.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
I have a theory that the style of comedy that
he has mastered and is maybe better than anyone.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Else, does not age well.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
And what I mean is it stays funny, but as
the person ages, they age out of being able to
pull that.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
I don't need to see him publicly have an erection,
Like we saw an anchorman and.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
That I thought that was I mean, it's but this
thing he was wearing a thong. I'm like, that's what
I don't need. I didn't need to see him in
a thong.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
He's just he's dancing, is going on.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
He's starting to look old, and it's and it changes
how you feel about the guy who's gonna, you know,
go to home depot on the weekend or whatever.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Y'all probably knew the story, but I wanted to share
it in case anyone who has it and maybe yelled it.
But his dad was a musician, musician he's with the
Righteous Brothers. And this is from the Amy Polar podcast
at Will.

Speaker 9 (21:01):
Ferrell was just on you know your dad was working
with the Righteous Brothers.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
I read somewhere that like you were like, I don't
really know about this, this like idea of show business
because it's just.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Very, very scary scary. Why did it seem scary at
the time because I just saw the u there was
no stability in the life of a musician.

Speaker 10 (21:22):
I would sit and watch my dad play, going this
is the most talented. He was like my hero, like
so funny and great piano player, and like who could
be better than that? And so I never understood when
he would have a nightclub gig that would he'd come
home and be like, well, I'm not going to be
playing there. I'm like, oh what, it's like nothing. They

(21:44):
just decided going to make a change. So I've got
to go out and I've got to look for the
next gig. And it was very impressionable to me. That
was rough. I was committed to having what I thought
in my little kid brain was a real job.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
That's kind of interesting, Yeah that it comes home bummed
out from this lifstyle. I was like, now, I'm gonna
get a job where I have to go into a building. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Those motivations are so strange. They're really at home when
you're a kid, you know. And there's a lot of
these like self made now billionaires that were dirt poor
growing up and they were so motivated to never be
that sure.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Right. This is another story too where he's on a
podcast and he's talking about a famous news anchor named
Harold Harold Green in the California area where he grew up,
and he ran into him somewhere out in public and
they asked him about am I the guy who did Anchorman?
Was there one person that you based Ron Burgundy on?

Speaker 11 (22:37):
There was a guy, a guy but named Harold Green
who was a San Diego newscaster, came to LA. He
was famous for his mustache and he saw me in
Beverly Hills. We met each other just he was like
will Harold Green? And I go, sure, I remember you,
And he's like, there's a rumor that that character is

(22:59):
based on me.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
And I go, no, I'm.

Speaker 11 (23:02):
Sorry, Harold, I mean I totally remember you. You were
at KBC Channel seven in LA. But no, it's just
a bunch of people. Was like there's an old saying
in the news game.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Yeah right, that's amazing.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
All right, there it is the entertainment headlines coming up next, Christina,
where are you gonna take us in the cookie jar?

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Let's silently judge everyone next on the ego.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
Before we get there. Thanks again to our friends at
prosper Ford. Take the tollway, the whole way, and put
prosper on your roster. Of course, if you're up in
prosper Little elm Soalina or Frisco, anywhere in that area, Plano,
then you should be going to prosper Ford. That should
be your go to Ford dealership. However, you should go
there if you live anywhere in the metroplex. It's worth
going there because you get to deal with Edwin Rivera directly. Look,

(23:51):
we're grateful for all of our ad partners. When you
support them, that keeps us on the radio and we
greatly appreciate that. Give our friends at prosper Ford the
chance to earn your business and ask for Edwin Rivera
by name. Yeah, Edwin's gonna guide you, He's going to
hook you up. He's going to make you leave that
car a lot with a car that you love. At
a price that you love.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
That's what we're talking about when we say vehicles, you
trust price for the times we're in. There's no hidden fees,
there's no gimmicks. I always have transparent pricing. Working with
Edwin and the gang at prosper Ford is an awesome experience,
and I would say let that continue on through to
the service department too. Their service department is fantastic. Tell
him Ben and Skin since you when you get out there,
and he can go to Prosperford dot com and see

(24:31):
the whole inventory of new and pre owned first, but
we say go at the pros and visit prosper Ford today,
three eighty in the Dallas North Ben and Skin Show
ninety seven point.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
One The Eagle.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Do we have another explosive Kelly Clarkson situation We need
to discuss. Boy, she's got a long history with this
show and we got to get into it. There are
some big layoffs in the world of sports media. We'll
discuss after that, but right now it's time for this.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
It's time to prop the top your hands and grab
a tree from Christina's kooky jar.

Speaker 12 (25:09):
It goes Christine Jar. Christine.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
A few days ago I saw a survey where people
admitted that they secretly judge people based on the wallpaper
on their iPhone or phone. It doesn't matter what type
of phone, but they secretly judge people based on whatever
their wallpaper is. And uh, we can real quickly just
say what I mean, what is y'all's wallpaper? Okay, wallpaper

(25:46):
meaning background on your phone? Like the log screen.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
It's just oh like whatever loads first.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
Yeah, so if you were to click on it and
someone were to see it, what would they see?

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Let me just say that mine is basically the same
one I've had since I've had an iPhone. Yeah, and
it is a picture of my daughter as a princess
when she was like three or four years old, and
it's been the same way ever since.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
It's never changed.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
I have rotating family picks, so this one is my daughter.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Fancy they all just rotate? Yeah, I have a rotating
It's thirty pictures of my favorite adult gay film star.
Oh is Johnny Sin's on there? Is he? Is he
on there? Once? Or twice? Is the question?

Speaker 8 (26:27):
Right?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Because there's a couple of them.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
So most people do have family members. Pets came in
at number two, and then Landscape was like the next
top answer, but they've got landscapers. I don't know about
that one. But then I was like, well, there, what
are the other things that we secretly judge people on?
And I got a long list here. That's all I
think true, But I'll get y'all's opinion, starting with someone

(26:49):
not putting away their shopping cart.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Oh yeah, get out of here.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
It's one of the most obvious.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
I don't even silently judge that. I loudly yell at everyone.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah. And if you would have record of yourself, you
would have been famous on the Woody Show. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
And you wonder like, in these situations, when are you
supposed to answer your calling as a brave hero and address.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
And fix these situations? Right? Do you call them out
or just move on?

Speaker 5 (27:15):
And as those things escalate, it gets into how far
are you willing to go with it? Do you want
to go to prison for the rest of your life
over that shopping cart? It's Sean Pitt every day for me.
Anytime I see a straight shopping cart.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
Have you guys ever put up a separate shopping cart
that's not yours?

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Oh? Yes, okay, I've spent hours out there.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
We're ben hines over there in the Walmart parking lives
and there for hours, I mean straight carts.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
How about some people who bag their dogs poop but
then just leave it there on the road. That's part
of this list.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I don't know that was the thing, but I do. Uh.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
My wife and I were going for a walk and
we see people in the neighborhood. There's a lot of
people that just walk around with dogs and they have
no plan. I can't believe that I just let their
dogs poop.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Those are some of the worst people.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
I do get, like when it's a teenager and it's
like right, they have their head up their ass, but
I don't understand an adult.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
But even more so in this yesterday, I was walking
on the sidewalk and there's poop on the sidewalk.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Yeah. I saw that the other day too.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
Jesus guys, Okay, how about just people who drive cyber
trucks judging I do that. I do try to lean
over and see who it is, Like, let's let's look
at how douchy this guy is.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
I did that before I got in one. Those things
are bad ass. They're awesome. Yeah, I mean, that's insane.
I've never been in a thing that went faster than that.
How many of our listeners have cyber trucks.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
It's like it depends where the guy's a Metallica listening
right now.

Speaker 6 (28:47):
It's one of.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
Those sayings where like, no matter what, it's always gonna
look like that. Yeah, I've seen them look better, though,
I mean, you can't trick them out. I think a
lot of it has to do with the rims. You
can tell. I put some thought into this.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
I've thought about it. I just can't. I can't. It's
hard to park.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
But if someone put like the whole van Halen theme
on there, like that logo, if the whole cyber truck
was van Halen, I might get behind that, Like, you
know what, that's cool.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
It'll still always be shaped like a military vehicle from
a nineteen seventy sci fi.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
Yeah, okay. How about when people listen to reels or
social media media videos a lot like max volume in public?

Speaker 2 (29:26):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
That a lot of times has to do with the
person's hearing. I'm discovering that recently, like, you know, just
having people in my circle that are getting hard of hearing,
Like that's why that thing is cranked all the time.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
So Vida has it to where it hooks up to
her hearing aids on Macley. But if that thing, like
if her hearing aids die, she doesn't know, so it
will start just playing in public public and she has
no idea.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
We like you hear like a speech, Yeah, we love.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
It's not connected anymore. Via what.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
It is amazing when someone just conducts business around people
on their phone, like so loudly.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
Yeah. When I'm in public restrooms, I listen to people
wash their hands, and if I don't hear them wash
their hands, silently, judge them absolutely.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Does it matter how long it is. No, I'm gonna
stop watch out.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
No, you'll just hear it.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
You'll never forget, and then you will blanket them as
a not a hand washer for the rest of their life,
even though they might rightly hear at work.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Again, I think there's two different things that play here.
I think there's rock and a douce and not washing
your hands, and then I think there's we've talked about this.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Before you wake up, you take a.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Hot shower, you immediately you're fully washed and clean. You
put on hot cotton bleached underwear, whatever you're it's packaged
and clean. Everything you touch with your hands that day
are germs, germs, germs, germs, germs. But meanwhile, the goods
are still perfectly pristine. You could eat breakfast off of
them and then eat breakfast off your dumb Yeah. So yeah,

(31:10):
you can look like a dirty floor. Yeah you wouldn't
eat Yeah, but anyways, the minute your hands touch that,
now it's dirty because you've taken the germs. That's why
I always go hands on the back of my head
class like I'm about to put handcuffs on me hips free,
let it go and never touch it, and then walk
out with pride. I've seen him keep his hands on

(31:31):
his head until after his pants are completely back on.

Speaker 6 (31:36):
What's next.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I think we're doing the Kelly Clarkson thing coming up next,
an audio bubble bath. Right here on ninety seven to
one the Eagle.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Years ago, we did the story of Kelly Clarkson. If
you guys remember she had to she's doing her concert
and then nature called and she went and fired off
in a bucket explain number two. In a bucket side stage,
you know, like a Low's bucket or home depot bucket.
You know, do we know that for sure? Yeah? I

(32:12):
mean there's audio of it. We talked about it, there's
audio of her actually doing it. No, no, I know
for explaining it, because that's I mean, that's a strong
deuce if you can hear it. So here's some audio
of her last night. She's doing a show in Vegas,
and listen to what she said. I don't know what's
wrong with me.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
I don't know if I got that thing.

Speaker 9 (32:28):
You know that people like eat lettuce.

Speaker 6 (32:31):
Okay, but last night during the show, I was like,
oh my god. And I get back to my room
and I have never been so happy.

Speaker 9 (32:40):
There's not a man in the room.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Brod's me. Ha got what happened? I was like, and
you know.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
The part where you think it's over here, like there's
he has to be over.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
No, girl, that is really good, stand up. He's our
diary queens. That's not good for anyone at any level.
That's not it's not just good. Why does she have
to share that? I think take that to her grave.
That the crowd was eating it up though, that's I

(33:20):
think that's kind of who I don't.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
I think that's kind of her brand though, is man,
She's just just Kelly.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
She's keeping it real.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
She's keeping it real that Kelly.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
Got farted in an elevator before I got here, and
I'm just so glad there wasn't a man in there
because they would have passed out. She's a kind of
girl that'll tell people her panties are sweating.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Now I'm up here farting on stage right now. I'm
glad y'all are down there in your seats. I mean,
she's from Burlison. You know a couple of weeks ago
when she was talking about those snakes. What do you
remember a couple of weeks ago when she was talking
about the snake? Oh right, I don't remember a couple
of weeks ago anything. Oh my god? Really yeah, getting old.
I'm playing it for you now, Okay. I want you

(34:09):
filming down somewhere. And there was like a den of
like we actually were going to go film there at
night and got turned away. Yeah I remember that was
like he finished Elli and he was like Christina found like,
I don't know, forty or fifty rattlesnakes, dide.

Speaker 9 (34:22):
I'll tell you what, nothing will make me run faster
than hearing that sound of the dead and night I'm
out there with my dogs and I was like.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
No, but I tell you what a real country. She's
a real country, old country dude. That is like at
the time Skin was talking, got real country. Recently, you
don't remember this. No, I've lost the will to live. Okay,
So earlier Ben said that he loves Ferris wheels. Yes

(34:50):
he did. Two girls hospitalized after falling from Ferris wheel right.
Oh see, that's why we didn't put one in. I
want to. I still want one there.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
I still there.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
There there. I love to put one in over there.
I want to. I still want one there. Sound like
Kelly Clarkson had.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
Like mud all over my overalls.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Dide.

Speaker 9 (35:17):
I'll tell you what, nothing will make me run faster
than hearing that sound of the dead and knight.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
I'm out there with my dogs, and.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
I was like, no, I want to.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
I still want one there, Like like, hey, Skin, are
you still gonna put that stock pond over on your land?

Speaker 2 (35:36):
I want to. I still want one there. What about
a duck blind? You want to put a duck blind
over there? I still want one there. I still want
one there. I still do. By the way, while we're
at it, doesn't changed money, pool, Ben, I was the
same growing You're the same if it was deep and
I couldn't really see the bottom.

Speaker 6 (35:54):
I was like, there's a shark in here.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Right, it's irrational, but it's a fair. It's more logical
that so country. It's right, it's irrational, but it's a fair.
You didn't even say fear. You said fair. I still
want one there.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
It's so country, and solve the problem or the fact
that I have a shark.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Tooth, have dead tooth.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
And this morning I was in a hurry and I
was eating fast, and I was eating too fast, and
the inside of my lip caught that shark tooth while
I was chewing. I yelled that, and blood was shooting.
I couldn't get the inside of my lip to stop bleeding.
Oh my god, I keep squirting everywhere. Hey man, who
do you think I am? That gal that was married

(36:42):
to Sasha? Was that gal's name?

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Kristin Lee?

Speaker 6 (36:45):
He made it worse what he was talking about the blood?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Why did you drag yourself out? That's a good job
he was about the blood. Maybe we're too country. Maybe
that's true. To get rid of this on the eagle
to I still want one there. I don't think we
can comment on that. Then we'll start a country station.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
All all right, coming up next, let's talk about the
world of sports, shall we.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Let's go around the sports. Ryan Clark laid off.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
I think he was laid off mid show while giving
an opinion about the Cowboys. We'll talk about that next
on the Eagle. Before we get there, Thank you to

L The Eagle. When you go to Orchard dot com.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Now around the sports, ktd tweets has all the sports.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yeah, pretty wild day yesterday, really twenty four to forty
eight hours of ESPN. They have a bunch of layoffs,
just a bunch of people losing their job. Hate that
Cam Newton, former quarterback, one of the Carl Rabbits, who'd
been there for thirty three years. Got love baseball. Yeah,
David Lloyd had been there thirty two years. He's a

(39:00):
sports center anchor from my time. Okay, but I probably
liked Sports Center, you know, is it an eleven year
old you know, do we still have Charlie Steiner around Steiner,
I No, I don't think so. I think he's alive
because he was doing Dodgers games for a long time.
Oh cool, even more probably probably Stoker Cigar as we speak,
Gluf Steiner, Steiner, come on out and get your whooping.

(39:23):
Vader Holyfield told him that one time. One of the
guys that got laid off though, on Monday was Ryan Clark,
the former safety of the Steelers and always kind of
on TV it feels like he's working all the time.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
He was involved in a lot of controversies, like you know,
on air controversy, got.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Into RG three for a long time off air to
just Twitter controversies. Steven A too right. Didn't they go out?
Probably a little bit, I mean yeah, but he was
He had been there for more than a decade. He
was making two million dollars a year, which is, hey,
you're out of your playing days in the NFL and
you're making two million dollars a year as analyst. That's
good work. So he got fired in the middle of

(40:05):
his show on Monday. He's on TV and they go
to commercial break, they come in and fire him because
it leaked online that he was going to get fired,
and they wanted to is what Derek saying. They wanted
to not let him find out during a break scrolling
online that he'd been fired. Was he and it was
a I guess it was live studio show, like you

(40:25):
know those NFL live shows they do in the afternoon,
NBA one. Okay, So they said they wanted to tell
him because media was starting to ask and that it
leaked out. So he's like, they do it, How does
it get out?

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (40:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
People just you know, I mean we were laughing one
time about there's message boards don't really happen like they
used to.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
I guess now it's just Reddit.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
But the old radio message boards are basically just disgruntled salespeople,
and so it's like it's just so hard to keep
all that information intact, and so as it starts trickling out,
someone in the counting department told a cousin and then
the next thing you know, it's out.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
I do know when we were doing a you know,
a previous station before the Eagle, when we did the Freak,
there was a guy who was just so he just
really wanted to be on the station again he had
been on the station twenty years ago. Yeah, and he
was just taking shots at us for no reason, the
guy who'd never met before. It was like, I almost
wanted to like, but dude, I know that you've been

(41:26):
in contact with our boss and like or like and wait,
I think he was and met with one of them,
like yeah, and not about a job. I think it
was just to kind of like get him to cool
it on social media. No, he was wanting a job. Yeah,
he was campaigning for it. But you can't.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
I mean, that's the psycho on Facebook. Yeah, right, No,
I mean, and you know, I mean, I'll just say
this is not a big deal. But for the longest time,
that's exactly what Grego was. And then when you see
him in person, he doesn't act like that at all.
But once he gets online, he gets all out of control,
and then in person.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
He's just a totally different human. There's been a lot
of people like that over the years.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
I can remember some of the rhist critics we've ever faced,
just the on social media, just the meanest, coldest, vile
people with all these opinions and confidence. You meet him
in person and they can't stop looking at their shoes. Yeah,
they can't even begin to interact with someone in person.
You're like, oh, you're that guy.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Yeah. So ESPN had this merger with NFL Network, and
one of the guys that came over was Peter Schrager's
report of the NFL networks. He's a he's a solid
personality and like his first week on the job, Ryan
Clark was giving a big ced Lamb opinion from the
Week one game. Remember Ceede Lamb and the drops in
Week one against the Eagles last year. Yes, and Ryan
Clark and Peter Schrager on the desk. Peter Sugar did

(42:36):
not play the game. You know, Ryan Clark did play
the game, all right, Right, So that's a part of this.
And here's what happened on the air. And this is
a fight you know last year and a lot of
people think this kind of started the Ryan Clark downhill
slide at ESPN.

Speaker 4 (42:49):
Okay, you look at aj Brown, which is this number
one wide receiver who got one target all night and
then you got Cede Lamb.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
But if that's the when was the one that's the target?
Was the one? I'm saying, wait, four seconds in the
game on second and eleven, it was the one target
he runs the wake up this quarter they got Brown
had a better day than CD Lamb. But you know,
you know what to wake up saying No A J.
Brown's team is one and oh.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
Of course like again, but the thing is this though.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
And and we shouldn't do this on TV. And I
apologize that people think this is rude. That's the non player.
Oh stop, that's no that lam Let me tell you
why I'm not saying I'm not the fantasy football Ryan.
I'm not. Don't don't don't belittle me like that.

Speaker 5 (43:32):
I could come in and say, as three ex players
are saying one thing and give an alternative perspective that
maybe ceedee Lamb did play well.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Either.

Speaker 4 (43:38):
What I need you to do, what I need for
you to do is not get mad and let me finish,
for it wasn't about you.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
It was gonna be about me. Clearly you were gonna
belittle him and then make it about you, tough. Don't
belittle me like yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (43:54):
Remember that, and it's you know, I mean, there's a
way to there's a way to couch all that, and no,
you know, you don't know what the players thinking unless
you've been in their shoes. But guess what, everyone who
played wasn't in that exact shoe either, So are they not.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Supposed to be able to think about it? I mean
it's really a weird place to go.

Speaker 5 (44:12):
Yeah, humans can only project and think about things they've
actually experienced themselves. Tommy three rings man, Yeah, Tommy three
rings All right, there you have it around the sports
coming up next to training and Ben, the most captivating
questions of all time. This is the world famous Ben
and Skin show. The NFL has been talking about a
four point field goal. We have the latest on that
discussion coming up at five o'clock. The Today Game's coming

(44:33):
up in ten minutes. But right now it's time for this.

Speaker 8 (44:36):
She's interrational, quick triggered nuclear overreactor. He's a masterful storyteller
who consistently finds himself drowning in a sea of awkward.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
It's time for no Trundy and Ben. Yeah to the goat.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Adam Keck, who has been quarterbacking just some incredible content
of late really dunking on Kat a lot of ways.
It's coming up with some of the best radio segment
concepts ever.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
For sure. He was He's the one.

Speaker 5 (45:04):
Who brought us that non bred versus bag at which
can you throw further? What would you rather do? Have
the inability to uh, to whisper or the inability to
raise your voice?

Speaker 2 (45:15):
I mean stuff like that classic. I don't think.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
Anything ever beats who ends in a one hundred meters
dash where you have to digest an entire hot dog
first usein bolt?

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Or Cody Chestnut or is it Joey Chess?

Speaker 5 (45:28):
Cody Chestnut sounds like a country's singer, but yeah, it's
those same ideas, And that kind of led me to
fascination with a question. My son asked, what's the least
used number on a microwave solid? We got into uh,
But I've got a few more along those lines. And
this requires deep concentration. I need all the listeners to focus,

(45:48):
focus hard on these words. I need everyone here, so
think about this. How many fries can somebody steal from you?
Like let's say you're sitting down having a meal and
you have your order fry, not community fries, you ordered
them for yourself. How many fries can someone steal from
you before it's no longer cool, Like now it's turned

(46:10):
into sharing, you know what I mean? Like, why didn't
we just order. It's like, in other words, I order
a burger and fries. You just order a burger. You
don't want fries, but you start eating my fries. You
have one or two?

Speaker 2 (46:20):
Yeah? How many? Is like you should have ordered your own?

Speaker 5 (46:23):
How many can you take when you're it's not even
an agreed upon thing. You're just bow guarding someone's fries
and dive it in there?

Speaker 2 (46:31):
Go ahead, two? Two? Okay, you have one because you're
trying my fry. That's all you're doing is you're just
trying to see how it is. Once you start going
in and now let two happen, then I've opened up
the gate for whatever. So just two happens, it's like,
hey man, why don't you just go get you small?
What do you think?

Speaker 6 (46:48):
I think about five? Sometimes I don't eat all my fries,
so it depends how hungry I am as well. And
then what what quality of fry are they grabbing? Are
they grabbing the crappy small ones or like the big
meaty ones.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Okay, that's interesting. My wife's favorite French fries, she calls
them the crunchies. Yeah, the little tiny she loves those.
Uh So, if I had answered this question, fifteen years ago,
I think I would have said two or three, and
now that I would just want to split everything. I'd
just be like, hey, you had a half.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Like the older, I get the more.

Speaker 5 (47:23):
No, that's not the discussion though, that's just giving up
half your stuff. The question is you're with somebody, they
try one of your fries. They didn't order fries. Some
people are like, I don't smoke. I don't buy a cigarette,
so I'm not a smoker. But they bummed so many cigarettes.
It's just like a sub you know. It's like a
middle thing where they're like, oh, I'm not a smoke
I don't buy cigarettes. Yeah, but you're smoking eighteen a
day because you're bumming them.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
So how many?

Speaker 5 (47:44):
If somebody reaches over, like you and I are eating
right now, and you have fries on your plate, not
in a basket in front of you, I just helped myself.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
Hey can I try one of those? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (47:54):
I eat one, but then the meal keeps going on
and I keep reaching over.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
Yeah, at what point if I cross the line at two?
Once you've gone to two, you've basically said it looks
like you're gonna give me your fries now. Yeah, looks
like you're just gonna sit there and allow it. Now
we're sharing looks like looks like you're just gonna sit there.
It looks like I can run you over all day.
That's why you have to shut the door too.

Speaker 5 (48:16):
You got to stand up for yourself at some point
and go, hey, man, what the hell, why don't you
just order some fries?

Speaker 2 (48:20):
At one, they're not violating any laws. At two, that's
when they've violated the unwritten code.

Speaker 5 (48:25):
I think, okay, but are they going to ask each
time they reach over for another fry?

Speaker 8 (48:28):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (48:28):
How about I have one more than you know? If
they do ask before the second one, I would give
some leeway to three. If they as the third one,
can I have a third fry? I think you probably
get the hang of it. After two, you probably got
a feel for it.

Speaker 5 (48:40):
You just watch me take a whiz without washing my
hands because my hands are on my head and now
I'm reaching on your plate right, rifling through your stuff?
All right, here's another one. Kids like to run through sprinklers. Right,
you have the sprinkler on outside, it's in the front yard.
Kids are running around, jumping through it. Five, six, seven, ten,

(49:02):
ten years old. At what age Are you too old
to go running around jumping through a sprinkler before? It
should be concerning it to someone looking on?

Speaker 2 (49:14):
Are you pushing some little kids out of the way
while you do it?

Speaker 5 (49:18):
You're just if you're you're you live in a house
and you're a child, and there's a sprinkler run and
you're out there running having fun and a no big deal.
But at what point are you by yourself running through
sprinkler having fun and neighbors should be worried?

Speaker 2 (49:34):
I think, oh, sorry, kat ladies.

Speaker 6 (49:37):
First, I do think gender is very important here. I
think women could probably get away with it for longer
than a.

Speaker 5 (49:43):
Man, especially if they're out there washing cars while doing
it right for charity. All right, So you have a neighbor, yeah,
and they're they're fourteen year old kids out running around.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
You're like, oh, it's kind of old to be running around.

Speaker 5 (49:55):
But then it's an eighteen year old, it's a twenty
four year old, and it's a thirty year old.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
What point are you like? Yeah, I'm like, are they
on the spectrum?

Speaker 6 (50:03):
Yeah, that's that's probably a question too.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Is that a bout radley situation?

Speaker 6 (50:07):
They really? But it's hot outside, so you know what,
I'm not really gonna judge anyone, like you're not.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
Gonna judge fun You're not gonna judge. But in your mind,
are you worried?

Speaker 6 (50:16):
Yeah? Probably probably over the age of eighteen. You're right,
eighteen is a little weird, but you're still whatever.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
What if they're doing it by themselves i A. Dependents,
they're still living at home or not. Yeah, because you're
still kind of taking part in family activities.

Speaker 5 (50:32):
All right, I'd just like to invite everyone listening to
go out and play in a sprinkler this weekend by
yourself and let us know if anyone looks at you weird.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
Coming up next is a Today game right here on
the Eagle.

Speaker 5 (50:40):
Before we get there, thanks again to our friends at
Prosper for take the tollway, the whole way and put
Prosper on your roster. Of course, if you're up in
Prosper Little elm Soalina or Frisco, anywhere in that area, Plano,
then you should be going to Prosper Ford. That should
be your go to Ford Dealership. However, you should go
there if you live anywhere in the metroplex. It's worth
going there because you get to deal with Edwin Rivera directly. Look,

(51:03):
we're grateful for all of our ad partners. When you
support them, that keeps us on the radio and we
greatly appreciate that. Give our friends at prosper Ford the
chance to earn your business and ask for Edwin Rivera
by name. Yeah, Edwin's gonna guide you. He's going to
hook you up. He's going to make.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
You leave that car a lot with a car that
you love at a price that you love. That's what
we're talking about when we say vehicles you trust. Price
for the times we're in. There's no hidden fees, there's
no gimmicks. I always have transparent pricing. Working with Edwin
and the gang at prosper Ford is an awesome experience
and I would say let that continue on through to
the service department too. Their service department is fantastic. Tell

(51:39):
him bend and skin since you when you get out there,
and he can go to Prosperford dot com and see
the whole inventory of new and pre owned first, but
we say go at the pros and visit prosper for
today three eighty and the Dallas North.

Speaker 8 (51:50):
Are you excited?

Speaker 2 (51:52):
And all goods time in day day featuring veteran news
anchor kt fun tweet today in cyclospora. So look, here's
what we know about cyclospora. That is the outbreak that's
taking the nation by storm. It spreads through the human feces.

(52:13):
All right, then it's the it's the hard truth, alright,
is it hard? Hey, ma'am?

Speaker 6 (52:21):
That was a really bad ques.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
It spreads through the feces. It spreads through the human feces,
so scientists have never found it growing anywhere else. It
spreads through human facis, So the poo dust could be
this is where. Okay, there's a lot of theories about
where this originated. There's a lot of speculation about some
watering cover ups going on. It could be as simple

(52:47):
as a farmer not washing his hands, or it is
a water supply issue, an infected water supplies. Yeah, you
can go.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
There's a bunch of stuff you can go watch right now,
news stories and different things about the way water is recycled,
where it recycled from.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
And how it sometimes ends up on produce. When you
have a global food system like we have, and food
is shipped all over the place, and one farm had
a water contamination issue, or just a farmer who just
like loves scratching his butt, you know whatever, that could
infect thousands of people across the globe. Now it is

(53:24):
pretty much just in America, which tells you something. This
tailor farm situation is a little interesting to me, but
I don't want to go too far into it because
we shouldn't. What. Well, Taylor Farms has been a key
Taylor Farms, who have a good character bag salads. Well,

(53:49):
they've been accused of spreading it, spreading it to Taco Bell.
Then it comes out yesterday that they had a false positive.
And then if you want to go up and to
the upper chains of government and on the board of
directors as RFK Junior and see where the money, Well
there's that, but there's also a like am I a

(54:10):
donor of the current Yeah? They were committees. Yes, this
false positive story comes out out of nowhere, and people
were like, well, was it really a false positive or
what does that mean? Was it them or was it not?
We don't know, but we do know that he went
and visited the president two days ago, the head of Taylor.

Speaker 5 (54:28):
Farms, which he should if we have a global health crisis,
i'm sorry, a national health crisis that may be involved in.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
He needs to go see the president.

Speaker 6 (54:37):
And they are still pulling stuff off the shelves as well, right,
just as like a precaution in.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
A certain area, I mean not everywhere and certain.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
You know what I don't have that I'm interested in,
but I don't want to take the time to look
it up. How is it is this contained yet?

Speaker 2 (54:53):
No? Like, is it's still writing exponentially? Yes? Okay, there's
not good testing for this either, and you I don't
know until about two weeks after it's in your system either,
So I feel it. It's kind of the whole COVID
thing really was. Two weeks later, visits to Taco Bell
went down nineteen percent after the outbreak. According to Forbes.

(55:13):
That's a lot, a lot.

Speaker 1 (55:15):
I bet that's like three hundred million dollars or something crazy,
and poor Taco Bell. My I actually looked at it
as an opportunity to get through the line faster, opportunity.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
Now, yeah, let's go.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
Now, it's like, hey, just don't put any lettuce on
my Taco Bell. I just thought everyone going there would
assume they'd have diary anyways. Yeah, yeah, but she don't
need it for a couple of months, right, you'll get
a taco bell I like a case.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
We're att please. Was that a small dog, of course?

Speaker 11 (55:43):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (55:43):
Maybe they should bring him back and they'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
Yeah, Yeah, Adam sanderd a great song called I Ran
Over the Taco Bell Dog back in the day, very
very dumb. We had a celebrity death. Guys, did y'all
see this?

Speaker 7 (55:55):
No?

Speaker 2 (55:55):
I got the obituary pulled up. Richard Dick Porn has
passed away at the age of seventy something. Who that
Richard Porn? Yeah? Who went by Dick? Yep, he went
by Dick Porn. Do you know him?

Speaker 4 (56:12):
Ben?

Speaker 2 (56:12):
No. He passed away in Wisconsin with his family by
his side. He was gentle kind, loving, a great friend
and listener, and honestly he left a part of himself
with anyone he encountered. According to his obituary, was he
a jackhammer? Was he a jackham? Like he wasn't a jackard?
Did he work the jacket? Yeah, that'd be a great

(56:34):
porn name, jack hammer Jack. There's got to be right
steady on the job, jack camer I am dB. That's
just fine. There's no reason to put this off.

Speaker 9 (56:47):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
He's an actor and a director. He was in a
movie called drain Manos. That is good. Oh that is
really good, better than vain Man Gag Factor fifteenth okay.

Speaker 5 (57:04):
Dog, there was fifteen of those first fourteen were unresolved.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
They needed to make that fifteenth and the final one
that mean John Wiggs too? Right, Yeah, all right, there
you have. There's a weekly weekday of day coming up next.

Speaker 5 (57:16):
Let's crank up the wayback machine this week and Ben
and Skin Show History is next the world famous Ben
and Skin Show Happy hump Day.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Everybody.

Speaker 5 (57:24):
Might be my last show for a while, so hopefully
I'm back soon. Appreciate everyone who's reaching out to all
of us for all of the things. That this is
bigger than just me. I apparently have stepped in it.
I will not be on the show for the next forever.
Who knows when I'll be back.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
But right now it's time for this old bullfos. It's
time to go into the Ben and Skin Show wayback.
So this week in Ben and Skin Show History, we're
doing it on Wednesday. Typically we might do this on
a Friday, but I wanted to do this while Ben
was here because it's just very important that Ben is
here for this and the first thing that I wanted

(58:01):
to look at that happened six years ago. Is this
a goodbye to me? My favorite moment? Pretty much? It
could be it's about time we did a board game
bracket back in twenty two and we're kind of going
through it. No, and you go, you know, brackets work
on the radio. It's sometimes easy to follow for some.

(58:21):
For some, Yeah, depends how you learned. I guess, and
you're kind of going through the topics or the candidates
and whatever the game is, the matchups, I guess. And
Ben was explaining Risks. So let's go back six years
this week and been in skin history to Ben's explanation
of the game Risks. I used to be a big

(58:45):
risk guy. I don't know what it is.

Speaker 5 (58:48):
Came from a risk family and it always always led
to a family fight risk. We had so much fun
playing that game when I was growing up. The whole
family play. It's like we'd play Monopoly, and then we
get with it. So people start playing risk. So here's
how it works. Everybody starts off with these there's.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
A map of why am I explaining this? Did anyone
ask what the game is?

Speaker 5 (59:11):
Here's why you're explaining it and Here's why I love
it because you can hear in your voice you are
genuinely enthused about Risk.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
Ye, You're like, this is your jam, Dude, I've never
played Risk. I actually didn't know how it works, so
this is actually valuable for me. Did you end up
playing it later? I I a will say I got
the gist after about seconds, I'm gonna put a timer on.
I'm gonna put a timer on.

Speaker 5 (59:33):
See how long I talk about start the whole clip
just when he starts explaining it.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
So just that's twenty seconds.

Speaker 5 (59:39):
Then already, Okay, everybody starts off with these there's a
map of the globe, right, and every and everybody starts
off with a certain number of army men, and they're
like ten little they almost look like a little asterisk.
My color's green, here's red, here's whatever. Everybody's got different colors.
And the game starts and they say go and you

(01:00:00):
can place your little men on any country you know,
any continent, any country within a continent, and new place.
When once you have your have covered that country, you
own it. And then every time it's your turn, based
on how many countries you control, you get more army
men given to you. To re supplement on the board
anywhere you want. Then I'm rolling my dice against you,

(01:00:22):
my dad. And the only way you could hold me
off and beat me in the battle is if like
I roll a one and you roll a six, okay
you have a higher number than me, or you roll
five r RO four, I have to take one of my
guys away.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
But if I have.

Speaker 5 (01:00:34):
Two guys and you have one and I beat you,
then you your guys eliminated off the board and I
just claim that property.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
So the goal is global domination.

Speaker 5 (01:00:43):
And so if your mom is deciding which kid she's
going to eliminate in this global domination game, it's going
to lead to fighting and fussing. And so it just
always led to tention, yes, you will start the voting
with you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Well, I want to commend Ben first for his explanation
of risk taking longer than an actual game. I found
myself in the middle of it. I was like, man,
I gotta get out of here.

Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
I I was trapped. I painted myself into a corner.
Man I could not get out of there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
On the road of.

Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Explaining the rules of risk, I think the moment where
you knew you were really in trouble is when you
had the party, said okay, and then.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Someone says, go, oh my god, you did fine, and
you can tell her that whole clip. Christina's silent, so
she no telling what she ill asleep she was saying
if MySpace was still around. I was pretty into it
the wholeay, because I'd never played Risks before. This is
like reading the instructions out of the box, but just

(01:01:42):
having someone read them to you.

Speaker 5 (01:01:43):
Why did I It was like we were sitting down
to play a game. No one wanted to know the rules, Chris.
No one asked for the rules.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
We just need to need you to pick. If Risk
is better than Clue, we just need you to make
a pick.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Then Clue advanced advance, probably advanced right, Cluse badass?

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Maybe not? Man, I don't know. Yep, never played Clue either,
WHOA that's mine? Never been to Olive Garden and Red
Lobster moment. Colonel Mustard Colonel Mustard's badass though, Yeah it's
a dumb name. Yep, Colonel Mustard, that terrible name. Here's
what I think I want to do. I think I
want to play one short clip of a rod because

(01:02:25):
this happened this week six years ago too. It's pulled this.
I always loved this during a baseball game where they
put a rod and let him do analysis. This is
not good sports reporting.

Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
Eight brings watch his buddy brings it with him. Sacrifice
tells you win heads, you win more, gets a sacrifice
on top of sacrifice gets a base hit. Now you
got first and second and the Yankees are set up.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
So how many lambs? Next? Did we slie?

Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
It's it's a more cerebral approach to what Brett Favre
did when he was just naming routes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Tells you w but ahead, you win more sacrifice on
Can he continue this? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
All right, we are cranking up the wayback machine, maybe
looking back on some of our final moments here on
the Eagle. We'll see how this goes some other great
moments in Ben and skin Show history. Next on the Eagle.
Before we get there, let's talk about Reliant air Conditioning.
Those are good friends over there, Jeff Stewart. We love
the way that they do business. They do business with integrity.
A lot of companies in their space, well, you know,

(01:03:26):
you call an air conditioning company to come to a
tune up on your air conditioning system, which is imperative,
especially when you get into this heat wave we're having now,
and they send over a salesperson, not a technician, or
that salesperson's there just to try to upsell you things
you probably don't even need. That's not how they do
it at Reliant. Call them and see the difference. Set
up your tune up appointment today at eight seven seven
your Hero. Yeah, and here's the deal too, Like they

(01:03:48):
can save you money without gimmicks and stuff. They just
have all these different programs with the manufacturers that they
work with, and they can combine them save you money.

Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
We've talked about this.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
They can combine four different programs to save you fifty
seven undred dollars. That's incredible. They want you to get
quotes from their competitors so you can see for yourself
how they do it, which is the right way providing
comfort to homeowners that do not want to be taken
advantage of give MC call at eight seven seven your Hero,
tell them bit and skin sinch you eight seven seven
