Speaker 3 (01:14):
All hands on deck today for what's going to be
an amazing show.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I haven't no, I haven't really been keeping up with
you guys. You'all still been doing radio. No, okay. I
was in Florida and I man, my daughter was playing
in a basketball tournament. So this is our first little,
I don't know, first little venture into AAU basketball right.
(01:38):
And she's really good. She's she's young and very tall
for her age. And Dirk, Yeah, just like Dirk and
she you know, she's she's. I love it. I love
it because she loves hoops and I love hoops. So
it's something that we can share in the you know,
thirty second increments that I get to talk to her
as she's walking away from me, you know, with a bad.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Look on her face.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Powerful yeah, he said, really deep connection with a teenager.
But anyway, so she she is, she's been playing all year.
It's her first time to do it on this like
really good team, a really good AAU team.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Now.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I've when I first started hearing about.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
AU, they were like, uh, they were like, yeah, there's
Nike teams, there's Adidas teams, there's Puma team.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I was like, what the shoe companies, And so the shoe.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Companies are heavily involved in this, and I guess Puma's
trying to dip their toe in it, and their their
last to the mix here. You know, Nike's the best,
I guess, or furthest out of everyone than Adidas.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Do you know anything about all this?
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Oh yeah, that's where Nico got his meet hooks and
Anthony Davis when Anthony Davis was thirteen?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Is that right?
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yes, all the shoe companies have always been involved in
youth basketball.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
And then AAU.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
That's like, how the dude, now, I'm blaking on his
damn name. The coach at Arkansas and Kentucky.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Uh Nolan?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
No, no, no, no, no, the slick Italian guy, Rick Patino,
No no no, he came up under Patina, John Calipott Calipar.
Calipari had a bunch of assistant coaches that worked the
AAU ranks and had.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Relationships with the sneaker company.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Okay, so this is our first dalliance into it, and
she was overcoming a broken bag. She had a paris fracture,
so really she's missed a lot of the season, so
we kind of got in late. But the whole idea
was you play these Puma games and these tournaments all
season long to get seating for the big end of
the year national tournament in Orlando, Florida.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Cool.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
So she's been fighting all year her team to get
the best seed they can and I guess there was
thirty two teams and they were the fourth ranked team.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
And so they were really pretty pretty damn good team,
and so we're excited. We go to Orlando, and the
very first game we had the other team forfeited, so
they didn't show up. They didn't show up, couldn't make it,
so they didn't get there communicate with anyone on communicating
with them, and so they just played some other team
in a scrimmage. I guess, like, we're like whatever. Yeah.
(03:52):
The very next game, the first game of like actual
tournament play, even though they were ranked fourth, they played
the third rank team and the I'm like, well, why
have the seating there? And so they were like, well,
there's some confusion. We're hearing that the tournament uses AI
to determine the brackets. And then every team that had
(04:15):
a forfeit that showed up as a thirty point win
for the team that forfeited automatically, and the algorithm was
like had a hard time with it. And so for
some reason, like the number two and three team played
each other right.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Off the rip, some interesting reseeding then on.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
And so the third team lost to the number two team,
and so the third team then got recalibrated into the
bracket as the twenty eight seed.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Oh man, and so the.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Fourth team ended up playing the twenty eight seed, which
was really the third seed. Anyways, it was a great game,
but it you know, our team lost and then it
was over for us.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
So we had one meaningful game. We traveled it.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I mean, they played one more game, but it was
almost like a loser's bracket. No one knew what was
going on. There was no communication. It was a complete
train run. Like if if I could have, I could
have just I would have rather just taken a huge
pile of money.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
They said, hey, you want to be in the Puma League.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I'm like, nah, Instead, I'm gonna take this money, put
it in a fireplace, you know, put you know, you know,
gasoline on it, and light it. So anyways, it was
you know, it was fun for the team. They had
fun together, but it was a total disaster. So are
you anti Puma shoes?
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Now?
Speaker 3 (05:23):
I'll never even look at a pair of Pumas again.
I might punch anyone I see who's wearing Pumas.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Got some good ones.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
But I did get to experience Florida. Now, my wife,
you know, we're trying to. First of all, the tournament
was so disorganized they never knew when the games were.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Like one night, a game got rescheduled.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
We thought we had an eight am game the next day,
and at eleven thirty at night it changed to be
in a noon game, right, And so a lot of
the people just assumed it was going to be at
the Orlando Convention Center, but it wasn't. It was in
this tiny suburb forty five minutes away that did not
even have seating for families, no parking, no air conditioning.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
There was nowhere to watch the games.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
And everyone who went had to pay a one hundred
dollars per ticket to go watch their kids and you
couldn't even see Oh I'm money back. It was a disaster.
That is horrible. Yeah, it was an absolute disaster. And
so my wife was like, let's stay closer to where
the games are being played because we booked late.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
So we stayed at a golf resort. You got it.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
It's like wigwam, you guys would have liked it. Let's
go and uh there wasn't even a smart TV.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
And I was We had two queen beds in there.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
In mine where I slept was right next to the
air conditioner and I was frozen solid.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
That's your dream, though you loved me. Oh my god,
it was even bad for me.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
And so anyways, we got to experience Florida a little bit,
and they told us, hey, listen, uh, don't go for
a walk late at night around the lakes or ponds
here because there's gaiters and everything. Oh this lady was
walking her dog and the gator jumped out and e
her dog. Wow, Like, don't just be real careful about
the gators. And there was a story of a tourist
being there within the last few months who just decided
(06:54):
to jump in some water because it looked inviting, and
an alligator ripped both their arms off and the But
it's so it's just hot like Dallas Fort Worth, but
it's way more humid, and everywhere you go there's gnats
trying to get inside your mouth. There's gnats and mosquitos
or whatever just flying around you at all times. So
they put these giant nets around their pools that look
(07:15):
like what we would put a window screen y, but
it's a whole thing surrounding the pool and so at
any time it's either mosquitoes gnats or alligators and is
I don't know why anyone would live in Florida.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Now, let's go to our resident Florida backer. Ka.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
There is a house in Sarasota, Florida that's sitting empty
right now that Mike and I have multiple times been
like we should just move there. Also, the screens over
the pool. Everyone should do that. That is the most
brilliant idea. I don't know why Florida is the only
state where you see that in but yeah, I love Florida. Man,
I'm sorry, But I'm also biased because cs to Key
(07:53):
is like the nicest beach in America. It's always like
the number one nicest beach, So I get to see
like the best of Florida.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
And also I go there with locals who were born
and raised there, so I have a different experience every
time I go.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
But I love Florida.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Most people do. Most don't take East Florida. In East Florida,
it's just bad. Yeah, But I will say this. When
I got in town last night, my family was ordering DoorDash.
We're about to order sandwiches. Skin convinced us to order
Jersey Mike's instead of Jimmy John's so coming up in
the following days, I'll give you a recap of a
cat's in the sandwich test, Where are you gonna take
(08:31):
us next? And things skin is tracking the most wonderful
animal story of the year next.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
On the Eagle.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Before we get there, let's talk about Reliant air Conditioning.
Those are good friends over there, Jeff Stewart. We love
the way that they do business. They do business with integrity.
A lot of companies in their space. Well, you know,
you call an air conditioning company to come to a
tune up on your air conditioning system, which is imperative,
especially when you get into this heat wave we're having now,
and they send over a salesperson, not a technician, or
that salesperson's there just to try to upsell you things
(08:59):
you probably don't even need. That's not how they do
it at Reliant. Call them and see the difference. Set
up your tune up appointment today at eight seven seven,
your hero.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
And here's the deal too, Like they can save you
money without gimmicks and stuff. They just have all these
different programs with the manufacturers that they work with, and
they can combine them save you money. We've talked about this,
they can combine four different programs to save you fifty
seven hundred dollars. That's incredible. They want you to get
quotes from their competitors so you can see for yourself
how they do it. Which is the right way providing
(09:28):
comfort to home owners that do not want to be
taken advantage of. Give them a call at eight seven
seven your hero tell them. Ben and Skin sinch you
eight seven seven nine six eight seven four three seven
are online at Reliant Airconditioning dot com. Ben and Skin
Show ninety seven point one the Egle. We are giving
(09:49):
away guns and Roses tickets today, so be listening for
your chance to win. You'll need the iHeart app with
the talkback feature for your chance to scoop those Ben.
I need a g yesterday or I guess this was Monday. Rather, Uh,
you were gone and I was eating We'll talk about
Jersey Mikes later in the week, but I was eating
a tuna sandwich from Jersey Mikes and Katie and Christina
(10:10):
were repulsed by it. Really, they don't throw down on tuna, dude.
I love tuna fish sandwiches. It was a staple in
our household. My mom raised us on it put a
little boiled egg in there, a little relish, little mayonnaise.
I talked about relish, I talked about boiled egg whites.
They and then they said a bunch of negative things
about your mom.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Rest in peace. Yeah you know she's dead, guys, So
thanks a lot. Good job.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Christina did not say anything about.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Kat probably did, though, kay Tea.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
The conversations I've had with Anne would stay between her
and I through three years.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Respect dude, he just he thought that she said her
first name, that it would get him.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Off the hook. You know what I'm saying. First, the
entire rogers don't say get him off the hook? What
do you call it? The hook? Clinton had a hook.
But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Another rasition of things. Skin is tracking.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Let me explain why my penis is crooked.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
All right, So this morning I was on Instagram and
just looking at what the world of Instagram had for me.
And one of the accounts I follow is that documentary girl,
and her whole thing is she's all about documentary, So
of course I'm following her. And she posted a trailer
and I watched it and I was so engrossed in
(11:34):
this story. I just want to play the trailer for
you now. I've given it to Katie. He has not
heard this yet. It would be even cooler if you
can see it, because this is about an owl. This
is about a Eurasian owl that escaped from the zoo
in New York and took up residence in Central Park.
And are you guys following the Jimothy story. Yes, don't
(11:57):
know what that is. Jimothy is a short spined.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, oh yeah, I've seen it.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Okay, yeah, and so it's similar to this. But this
is an owl that was discovered in Central Park. Let's
just listen to this movie trailer and see if you're
as excited about this as I am.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
Found nine o'clock at night on Bicentral Park and I
turn a corner and there he was.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
A giant owl in the middle of the sidewalk.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
The wingspan must have been six feet across. It became
clear that this was potentially an Eurasian eagle owl, which
there are no Eurasian eagle owls in North America.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
If you have to understand, an escape zoo.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Animal is like a plot from a movie.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
He lived his entire life in the zoo.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
His enclosure is very small, and his muscles had probably
never fully developed.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
This owl can't even fly that well. He would crash
into branches. Surely he won't be able to hunch. I
did think he should be caught. I was like, this
is horrible, starving and terrified.
Speaker 8 (13:03):
And then all of.
Speaker 9 (13:04):
A sudden, it's a huge accomplishment for a thirteen year
old owl to learn how to fly and hunt.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
In a week.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
That changed my opinion of what should happened to Floco next.
People were relating to Flocker.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
They were seeing him as a hero.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Central Park has a famous owl named Floco Flaco Flock
of Flaco.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
I am addicted to Flock. I loved his face, I
loved his vibes.
Speaker 10 (13:33):
Those eyes are just like so mesmerizing, so ali your Flaco.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
He started living Central Park and branching out more. I
looked up and there he was on my air conditioner.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
He's been here for a couple of weeks now. We
embraced him and he's part of the Lower east Side.
I did Flacco and every day not going next.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
You it's adrenaline involved in chasing Flock, you know, because
you don't know where he's going to go next.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
I hear what happens when you take a bird that
had been in a cage for his whole life and
you just let him go.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
She's wild, but he lived with people all his life.
We've never seen anything like this ever. When's the Disney
movie because I want to see it.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
It's in theaters July thirty, first Friday. It's a true story.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
And when they're showing you this, they're showing you footage
of the owl, like you see him crashing into tree
branches and stuff, and then suddenly it and then the
like people wearing flocko shirts and it's crazy crazy.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
There's plenty of pictures. I'm about to send you, guys,
my favorite one.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
I had never heard of this and I saw this
this morning. I was like, I cannot wait to see
this movie. If we live together, i'd murder you. I
just couldn't handle you getting near the remot control. Let
me see the picture, you said, Carrie.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
He's all puffed up and cute. He just looks at
the man.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
I mean, it's just so crazy that the whole community
discovered an owl that couldn't fly. They didn't know what
to do with it, and then one week later he
was the king of Central Park huge.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
He has a really big say.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Bird watching porn it is, But uh, I love stories
like this. It's so cool and so interesting, and New
York is such a weird place with so many different
kinds of unique people for a community to rally around
an owl that escaped from a.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Zoo, huge huge owl.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
So be on the lookout for wild Inside the story
of Floco, I'm gonna look more. Oh no, there you go.
All right, there it goes things skin is tracking. Coming
up next, Let's talk about something that all New Yorkers
can get behind and be excited about, Tom Cruise. All right,
coming up today at about four fifteen, we got to
(15:59):
get into this thing that in the ringer about movie
football coaches. That is going to be so much fun.
Christina's got a cookie jar at four o'clock. What's coming
up in that kra.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
An iconic concert has actually come to theaters. I'm gonna
tell you about that, all.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Right, But first it's time for this.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Intentertainment's entertainment in line.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
Okay, So we talked about I think you guys talked
about maybe when I was gone a month ago, the
new Tom Cruise movie that's coming out later in the year.
Called Digger where he is he's an old oil guy
and we have some global warming and.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
The trailer's kind of all over the place. It's weird.
Man doesn't look good to me.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
It looks like it could be really bad, but maybe
it's funny enough that they can pull it off.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
I think like it's tough playing to land here, though.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
I think whenever you have a performer that you're you,
it's kind of like the way you feel about Tom
Hanks and that Elvis movie. Whenever you have a high
status actor that is doing this real performative thing with
their voice and they're looking all that, sometimes it's really
hard to translate.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, and I think that might be what's at play here.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
I also support those actors like that who get out
of their comfort zone here and there and take risks.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
It'd be very easy to go do another mission.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
Impossible for him, dude, easy for me to say, sitting
on this chair doing radio as he's flying off a plane.
But you get my point, like, this is a big
swing here.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
And I also, man, I think he's always been willing
to do this. That's one of the things that I mean,
it's kind of like you make those big blockbusters so
you can go do other things. Like dude, if you've
ever seen the movie Collateral, he is unbelievable in that.
I also think he like genuinely loves movies. Yeah, loves
everything about it and supporting the whole industry. So I
(17:46):
don't know, it feels like there's wind in the sales
of him outside of the weird scientology stuff.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
He's also put in. I think he's sequencing is important here.
So if you're gonna go take a swing like this,
what should you follow that up with? Go back home?
You know, do the comfortable dance move risky business. Bank
is doing something that Ben and I will celebrate, maybe
just I will celebrate, honestly.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Top Gun Maverick again, Days of Thunder, Days of Thunders.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
To eating ice cream.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
You can't make that movie without Robert Duvall. Just needed
new Creuchie could be coal trickle. I just put those
match tires on their coal. He could be cold, he
could be the creature.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
The guy who's going to be playing the up and
coming driver is going to be David corn Sweat, the
guy who was Superman.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
That's just it. I wonder what will happen. It's just so.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Paint by Number, right, it's gonna be just like that
new Formula one movie.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Talk to me, Talk to me, but talk to me Thunder.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
I would watch that a million times before i'd watch
a documentary about an owl.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
I think that's fair. What if Tom Cruise produced it?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Okay, now you're talking now, it's interesting. Is that owl
like the top gun of owls? Maybe I love this,
but also Days of Thunder is legitimately a great movie,
and everyone, I think knows that you can't make it
without Robert Duvall and Nicole Kidman, and.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
See we don't know if they're in that right. It's
just Tom Cruise is the only confirmed return for this.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
He's had some tough times but he's got it back together.
But you know, the wheels always calling back to the track.
It's the same formula it is the it is the
Formula one movie.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
What was that called that one? It's just called that one?
Speaker 9 (19:31):
That one.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
I mean, it's that it's Brad Pitt. It's just with
Tom Cruise.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
There's a young racer now he's holding on because he
loves it so much. And this is the plot of
cars really is.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
Yeah, but these are all movies that were made, and
we're able to run because they were able to go
fast because days of thunder got there out on the
pavement first.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
It took you a long time to get there, but
I think I know where you're trying to get. You know,
sometimes it happens like that. It's generological thing.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
I think, Yeah, you're driving, you were doing donuts in
the infield, but you got back out on the track. Oh,
that's a good NASCAR references, great tradition. You win the race,
destroy the grass that the guy has been knowing every
they met.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
To the lock crew, they're like, what weird sport? Big
fan you.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
I also think this could be a big opportunity for
Randy Quaid to come back.
Speaker 8 (20:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
I don't think so. No, No one's looking for that
Randy Quaid in their lives. How is he doing? Maybe
Dennis Quaid or his son Jack Quaid. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Quaid is like a bad guy to David Cornswick because
the Superman guy.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
How was he in Superman? I know you didn't love
the movie, but how was he as Superman?
Speaker 1 (20:43):
He was good? He was fine. I mean he wasn't.
He didn't.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
He could do the role, but he wasn't like didn't
you didn't go damn, he's the best one ever.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
You're just like he's another one. How was Lex Luthor?
Speaker 3 (20:55):
I'm not a fan of that guy. I mean, I
played We grew up with Gene Hackman. Gene hacks so good,
one of the greatest actors of all times. Incredibly, he's
the greatest, uh character actor that's ever made lit.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
And then Michael Kane.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
That's so disrespectful, will be like if you were a
badass point guard.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Someone's like, he's a great pass first point guard. I don't.
Oh so he doesn't create his own shot. He's like, wait, man,
I create my own shot. Why are you guys having
this to wake?
Speaker 3 (21:23):
They're not good shots, They're really shot clocks.
Speaker 1 (21:29):

Speaker 1 (22:57):
When you go to Orchard dot com.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Ben and Skin shown ninety some point one The Eagle,
do have some guns and roses tickets for you. Be
listening for your chance to win. Later in the show, Christina,
what's coming up in the Cookie Jar at four o'clock?
Speaker 4 (23:10):
An iconic concert coming to the theaters. I will be
ready for that.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
But let's hand it back over to KT right now
for part two of entertainment Headline.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
Yeah, just a couple more stories that I wanted to discuss,
and one of them involves The Odyssey, the big movie
that's raked out a ton of money.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Is it still just been? And I who have seen
The Odyssey? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:30):
I so, I'm going to California in a week, and
I started scouting Imax theaters in California and.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
They're all sold out too.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Yeah, that movie sold out in Imax everywhere for weeks.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
I saw it again while I was in Orlando. Did
it twice? Now?
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Wow, did you feel better or worse about it up?
On second watch? I liked it every bit as much. Yeah,
and I didn't even see it in the one of
the big giant Imax ones.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
I couldn't get in there. They were sold out.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
This feels like a movie that's a shower, not a grower.
I think you'll see it again, Beck, Yeah, it's what.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yeah, and I'm just no.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Good or bad like I like, I really liked the
Odes compared it to Oppenheimer. More stuff happening in the
Odyssey for sure. Yeah, it's better character.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Work probably in Openheimer is.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
There is the trojan horse, the nuclear weapon. I don't know, man,
I like where you're going there. Actually, I think the
nuclear weapon is like I feel like spells and stuff.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Well, I feel like going to the Uh.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Going to see Oppenheimer is like going to a proctologist,
Like you don't want to get back. Like it's like
it was it was fun last No, it was like
the brutal is not enjoyable, but you had to do
it all right. Uh, proctologists visit or al documentary Proctologists interesting? Now,
I'd probably watch that al documentary. Yeah, here's something it's
(24:52):
pretty interesting. But it would have to be like the
last thing on TV before TV ended forever. I think
you'll one day be talking about in Wild Inside the
story of Flocco, the Escaped Owl, and the same terms
you did the squid teacher.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yeah, was it sexual with the teacher? It was absolutely sexual.
Octopus teacher. Yeah, yeah, my bad. Yep. So the Odyssey
the Calamaris.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
On Saturday afternoon, someone on Twitter posted a full version
of the Odyssey and oh yeah in imax, and the
post just said someone uploaded the Odyssey full movie on
x Can you believe it? And there it is. You
can just click it and watch it. And it stayed
up for two and a half hours.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
You know why, right, Well, I know exactly why say
it because I think this is the story.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
I think it was allowed to stay up. Oh oh,
I don't.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Oh, you know, you know, the whole bit about Elon
Musk has been taking dumps all over. He was dumping
on it. He's going public or friend. TC had the
greatest line about this. He said, you know, people keep
telling me that Elon Mars Musk is really really smart,
(26:09):
and yet he's out there openly wagering that Christopher Nolan's
going to make a bad movie on the Odyssey. It
just seems like he's not very good with odds.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
It's critical of the casting choices. Yep. I Thinkon's behind this,
and it was a big deal and he was all
in the news and he let it happen. I think
he let it happen.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
I think they they know immediately the way those things
are watermarked and stuff, they know immediately. And I think
he let it up there for a while because I
think he's in pos.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Any other day, I mean, any other movie probably gets
taken down in seconds, five minutes, three minutes reported it
was for two and a half hours.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Well, couldn't they sue and then get access to all
the communication to see if there was communication about it
and Discovery?
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Possibly? Yeah, but how do you sue the richest person
on the planet.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
Yeah, yeah, and you're suing them and then like you're
I mean, if you the account has been suspended, so
as that findable, who did who made that account?
Speaker 1 (27:09):
It's just made it. Elon is the BUCkies of tech bros.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Okay, hmm, I like this interesting men, I'm so glad
you're back to support this sort of.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
He missed that segment yesterday, but it works.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
That's word.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Also, there's a TV show that's in the works that
I thought it was interesting is I will say, like
without unfair, but just head to head matchup, you know,
for a hot take. I did love One Battle after
Another more than The Odyssey. And I liked the Odyssey
a lot, but One Battle after Another last year's Best
Picture winner, I liked more.
Speaker 11 (27:43):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Benicio del Toro is great and one Battle after another
and he is going to star in a Ben Stiller
Mike Judge comedy series called Protective Custody.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Let's Go. Apple TV is just killing it with their TV.
Those three people. Oh that sounds good. That's gonna be good.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
Details on it are pretty quiet right now.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Yeah, but I think this is going to be a
lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
And you haven't seen Benicio del Toro do TV. This
is great. You know.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
I think we need to do a Benicio del Toro
character bracket. Oh yes, he's had so many good ones,
so flip flip you for real, puss, Yeah, like an
animated oh oh, what what was his character? Usual suspects?
Finster Finster, Jeff for real. I think that's going to
be a high See.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
What's this new show called Protective Custody.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
Protective Custody. Okay, yes, okay, Mike Lage, Ben Stiller involved.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I feel like in the last thirty minutes of our show,
Kevin's done.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
All right, what I'm saying? You think so? I do? Huh.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
He had the he had the thing about days of Thunder,
he had he had the Benezio del Toro thing, and
he's standing on business.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Yeah, someone's told me that my mouth is just a
graveyard of Marconi's.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Who said that?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Jeff Cat Coming up next, Christina, where are you gonna
take us in the cookie jaw?
Speaker 4 (29:07):
A very iconic concert is coming to the big screen.
I'll tell you all about it.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Next, Tony Ego, what is better Jersey, Mike's or Jimmy Johns.
Let the general know text in right now two one
four seven, eight seven, one five three just let him
know what's better Jersey, Mike's or Jimmy Johns. Just respond there.
Coming up in ten minutes, we'll go around the sports. Uh,
we'll talk movie football coaches. But right now it's time
for this.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
It's time to pop the top, breach your hands in.
It's grab a treat from Christina's cookie Jars Kristin.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Christine So one of the the top streaming artist of
all time. According to Kat Queen. Their last performance with
Freddie Mercury was in nineteen eighty six in Budapest, and
(30:12):
it's about to come to both cinemas and Imax theaters.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Oh, let's go October seventh. Wow.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Now, another big part of this concert, besides it being
Freddy's final concert, it was the first Western stadium rock
show behind the Iron Curtain?
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Is that right?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
That's what I've read? Okay, I'd interesting. I'm thinking about
that because we've had that discussion before about the Scorpions
and some of those metal bands going behind the Iron Curtain.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
And they had just never had that experience before.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Well, it's just it's kind of hard to explain.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
But because of the Cold War, a lot of cultural things,
and it's kind of like what we talk about being
with China. You know, your brother did business in China
for a long time, and we talked about the way
their internet works where it's with the communist regime, things
are oppressed. I mean, I'm just kind of speaking out
of turn here, but I just remember at the time
when the Cold Cold War was going on, the other
(31:10):
side of the Iron Curtain was trying to make sure
Western thought didn't get over to their people.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah, it does, so I'm interested to see I haven't
seen anything from this, I don't think so. And Peter
Jackson's team is behind Oh wow, yeah, the people who
are restoring this footage.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
That should be pretty cool. Do you think there'll be
some hobbits? I'm looking at the set list right now.
Oh really, what's on there?
Speaker 3 (31:37):
I bet they play we Will Rock You, Yeah, they do.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
But I would say that they're.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Leaving out some big ones.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Man, there's some big Oh they're gonna play all the big, big,
big ones.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
They play Radio Gaga, but the perky ones. I think
they're leaving off a few of those.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Oh what are the perky ones?
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Just like a few that you might want.
Speaker 5 (31:55):
You might want to hear bicycle race, you might want
to catch fat bottom Girl.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Let's well go okay. I'd say that's more of a
big natural Yeah, that's right, natural one for sure.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
So they left that one out. Fat bottom girls are
rarely perky, right? Did you did you? Top Girls? Is
a good song?
Speaker 11 (32:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Did they play the theme song from Flash Gordons?
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Was that them? Yeah, damn, they did the whole soundtrack. Dude,
that songs. Yeah, that's fun.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Brian May found synthesizers and just yeah he was he
went off again.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
This is coming to theaters October seventh, and then it's
going to be released on different streaming services October thirtieth,
so we'll.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Actually be able to watch it.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
Hell yeah, probably for a price, i'm sure, but look
forward to that in October.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Oh, smash.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
We also have Purple Rain coming to Broadway.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
I saw a commercial for this yesterday.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Oh you did I have seen any footage of it?
I just saw the headline stage adaptation coming to Broadway
next year in twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
That'll be a really hard ticket to get it.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
But that's the sort of thing that I think I might,
and I think my wife would too, like plan a
trip to New York around and spend big dough to goes.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, I think that would be amazing.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
So they'll they'll reperform those songs live, right, they'll find
somebody who looks and sounds like Prince.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
You know.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
The first thing that came to mind was the guy
from that does the Doctor Pepper commercials.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Oh yeah, that was justin. Yes, he was the Yeah,
he was the runner up to Kelly Clarks.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
And I think, yeah, he would be great in that.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
But you know, I'm speculating ben on what I saw,
but I think what they do. You know, they'll do
all the stuff from the movie, but I bet they'll
incorporate or incorporate parts of his real life into the thing.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah, that'll be bad as. That will be bad as.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Yeah. I'm actually surprised it's taken them this long to
do it, right, because Green Day they have a Broadway
based on American Idiot, and you're just now doing Purple right.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
I think it has to do with like who owns
the rights all that stuff, like a lot of family stuff.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah right, I think it kind of got weird.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Okay, previews will start in mark of next year, and
then here's a documentary you can watch right now everyone.
The Strokes made. It's just a ten minute doc ben
I saw your Eyes. Okay, and The Strokes made a
documentary on their brand new album that they just put
out called Reality Awaits.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
But the film, if you look it up on YouTube.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Is just In Transit Part two, because they did the
first In Transit years ago.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
That's only available on DVD. It's cool.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
I bet if you still have it, it might be worse than.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
I've seen it. It's Rick Rubens stuff.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
You know.
Speaker 5 (34:32):
It's okay. Yeah, the album is a grower.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Like the Odyssey is a shower, this album is a grower.
First two listens in like a third listen. I'm in
It's good, you got revved up?
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Upbeat any Strokes, it's a mixed okay, yeah, okay, rank
the Strokes, some Strokes. A friend of mine, friend of ours,
Mike Polucia's Diaforitente band is the Strokes.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
And he does not like the sound of all oh no,
but I'm in doing it all right.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
You heard it here first on The Eagle. Mike Polucci
does not like the new Strokes album. Coming up next,
let's go around the sports we got. Let's talk movie
football coaches DVW. We'll do that next before we get there.
Thanks again to our friends at prosper Ford. Take the tollway,

Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle,
Uh Ben, Big Ben is back, and so we have
(36:26):
trending in Ben coming up here in fifteen minutes.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Give us a little taste, Bend. What are we looking
at here?
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Man?
Speaker 1 (36:31):
I love when we do fake interviews.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
I've always loved prank calls, like the Jerky Boys and
stuff like that. I found actually a good one in
this day and age, and I can't wait to show
it to you. I look forward to that. We also
want to let you know that this segment is brought
to you by Franklin Frankel, longtime friends and partners of
The Ben and Skin Show thirty plus years. They've been
advocates for injury victims, fighting for you to make sure
you get what you deserve when you get hurt and
(36:55):
rec with no out of pocket expenses.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Two one four, three, three, three thirty three thirty three.
By right now, let's do this.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Now around the sports KGD tweets as all the sports.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
These goofy Goober's over there at the Ringer did a
ranking of the fifteen best and worst football movie coaches, okay,
based on ex's and does and they give a comp
and things like that, and going through there, I did
find a couple of clips of audio that I want
to play as well to help go through this.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Who do you think they had as the number one
football coach the Pacino because Speen?
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Oh yeah, it's Billy Bob Thornton on Friday Night Lights.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
He's on the list. But your winner is Herman Boone.
Remember the Titans Denzel Washington?
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Oh yeah, best actor ever? Yeah, he was great.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
The NFL comp for him is Bears coach Ben Johnson
because he's kind of a hard ass.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
You know, it's a good call.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
But basically he solved racism, like over the course of
training camp.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
I remember the Titans. I know we now no longer
deal with racism. Yeah, it's over.
Speaker 5 (38:07):
Number two on here. I'm gonna play a clip because
this was interesting for me. And this scene of a
movie cut me off guard a little bit. I'm not
sure i've seen this movie. I know y'all have will
be y'all's era movie?
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Is this Heaven Can Wait?
Speaker 9 (38:20):
It's a female You've got a handoff to the fall off,
so you've got outside lineback.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
I was just thinking, if he commits to you and.
Speaker 12 (38:29):
Pitch Tomorbill around the air, you don't sound very convinced.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
Come on, don't you guys have any pride?
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Don't you have any.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
Guts at all? Goga cut me nothing but a fur ball.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
When we get done with it, let's go.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Eat some.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Actually thinking of the song, it's the sport of kings,
kings better than diamond rings football.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
He said, this eat.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
This is an arrow where Goldie Han is the queen
of Hollywood, and she's doing a lot of roles like this,
like Private Benjamin where she goes into the you know,
she ruled the world in the eighties they had hers
Sean McVay of the Rams. I like it right there now.
Speaker 5 (39:19):
I want to go up to number fifteen on the
list because this would be the terrible exits and O's.
In fact, there's a scene in this movie where they've
actually drawn up plays on a fat kid's Torso this
is the movie that you guys have probably never seen.
Little Giants. Rick moranis is the coach of the Giants.
His big brother is al Bundy Ed O'Neill. He's the
coach of the Cowboys. The Little giants are you know,
(39:43):
the castaways. The cowboys are all in shape and ripped.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
Is this bad news for his generation?
Speaker 5 (39:49):
His daughter is the ice box, she's the middle linebacker.
She's very good. But there's a scene that I don't
fully remember. So the little giants are practicing with Rick
moranis and he's got a little smart technology kid on
the side, and he notices that Ed O'Neill and his
buddy are spying on their practice, so they know their plays,
(40:11):
and this happens spies.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Okay, guys, take a little break, and then we're gonna
start running the super secret play.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
I'm just gonna get the diagram coach.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
They're gonna do the super secret play.
Speaker 8 (40:27):
State Police.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
Oh thank god.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
This is thelmanbe Rogers. I'm eighty six years old.
Speaker 8 (40:31):
I live in Urbania.
Speaker 13 (40:32):
There are two men's down the bridge from the shell station,
in the bushes.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
Spying on some kids. We're also upset.
Speaker 6 (40:40):
I just don't think it's right for men their age
to be parading around in their underwear.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
Please hurle.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
Okay, so these kids, they're not in their underwear, but
he says that his older brother and.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
His friend are in the are in their underwear. Watching
the team practice. So then very quickly the cops show up.
Speaker 9 (40:59):
This is a.
Speaker 14 (41:00):
Credible They got the cards in the backfield, they got
the center to the right, and the quarterback isn't even there.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
They're standing around, but oh yeah, right.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
The police show up and pull their gun on him.
He called the cops to say that my brother is
a pedophile. Fantastic to win the game. What happens when
you spy on another team? As Tom Landry?
Speaker 5 (41:27):
I guess that's probably enough, man. You guys nailed the
other stuffs all in there is wit in there.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
That's the movie where Warren baby dies, gets taken off
the football field and then comes back to life and
runs back out.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Is Purchase Meredith? A coaching that Purchase Meredith? That might
start to show tomorrow. Hold on, he might be. I'm
sitting there thinking it.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Dude, I haven't heard that name in years. All the
kids listening to know Yeah, I thought it was the
guy from the used Cars.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
That's amazing.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Coming up next, the latest with Burgess Meredith in trending
in Bend. Next on the Eagle, all right, Ill Prepared
and Lost at Sea that's coming up today at five
point fifteen. A huge Cowboys hypothetical coming up at five o'clock.
The Today game in ten minutes. But right now, it's
time for this.
Speaker 15 (42:21):
He's interrational, quick triggered, nuclear overreactor. He's a masterful storyteller
who consistently finds himself drowning in a sea of awkward.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
It's time for no trund ain't bad.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
Yeah right, I want to get to a funny prank call.
But before I do, got a little sports for you.
I am a huge supporter of the fat athlete. It's
just something that is very close to home for me.
And there's a new one that plays for the Lakers.
And if you if you search this on the internet,
it's gonna pop up Luca and that's unfair. But the
Lakers actually they didn't draft this Guy's names Robbie Avila. Uh,
(43:01):
he's from Indiana State. Have you seen this guy?
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yes, I didn't know he was with the Lakers. Yeah,
apparently according to the Internet. Now that could have changed,
because guys like this don't get to stick around.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
He was playing. I bet he was on their summer
league team.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Robbie Avilia is his name, and he is a fat
guy and he's got goggles he went to Indiana State, right, Yes, yes,
he's Sycamore, just like he's the people are talking about
him being the.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
Larry Bird thing.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Yeah, and he's got great nicknames and here this must
be a Summer League broadcast where they're rolling through his nicknames.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
He's been called Cream, Abdul Jabbar, uh huh, Kevin mcpale,
Milk Chamberlain, Larry Nerd and Schequille opia.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
I love it, color guy. That might be a good
drop for us to use. I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
I like that Cream, Abdul Jabar, that's Cream. That's so great,
Kareem Cream and I Man, So you know they're making
fun of me. Yes, they've been where like everything runs together.
I thought it was two years ago where I think
they made the tournament and then there was highlights of
him going because I don't follow Indiana State basketball, but
I remember seeing clips during the tournament going, oh, this
(44:21):
guy's badass.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
All right.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
So I love prank calls. I've always loved the Jerky Boys.
I love it when we prank people, you know, the
Sports Inferno, Rational Bill, Carl Spoon, the Hulk, And I've
always wondered, like, how can we do this? With video. Well,
I stumbled across the comedian. Her name is Sarah Soda.
Sarah Soda probably not a real name anyways, She's pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
She does one character.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
The character's name is Sue Dylan, and it's an old
lady and she's she's got a nice little following, and
I think people come to her with hey, like I
would say, well, you prank call skin and here's a
little bit of detail. So when she gets you on
the phone, she has some of the details right, which
throws you off. But she throws she has a real
scratchy voice, and she throws in things like honey that
(45:03):
it just sounds authentic, just real enough to keep you going.
So she's pranking people and she has a little inside
info here. She is Sarah Soda playing Sue Dylan.
Speaker 10 (45:15):
Hey, Tony, I don't know how to say this, but
I'm in your cabin at Maple Lake and I've stopped
up your commode and I can't find your plunger.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
Is that right?
Speaker 8 (45:24):
Yeah, I'm just a jagger out here.
Speaker 10 (45:26):
I'm trying to get rid of my COPD and when
I jogg sometimes I get ibs and I have to go.
I tried to get into your house and the door
was unlocked, so I just.
Speaker 8 (45:36):
Let myself in. I was just gonna let myself back out,
but I felt bad to leave it in this shape. Yeah,
I couldn't help it.
Speaker 10 (45:44):
It was that or your driveway, and I thought it'd
be better to try to get in.
Speaker 8 (45:50):
Yeah, I'm sorry, honey. Man.
Speaker 10 (45:52):
It's a big one too. It's poking out the water.
I wish it was That's what I said to dog.
Looked up at the stay. I said, is this a
sick joke? Where you keep it? Or the plunger? I
can come back with mine from my house. Police, Oh please,
don't call the police. Oh please, I'm sorry. I'm not
(46:15):
stealing nothing. I mean honest, you got a food?
Speaker 8 (46:18):
Nice? What do I do? I mean, I can get
a garbage bag, gets you.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
Pof knife to cut it, so to go down. There's
so many good drops in there.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
So I stumbled across her at the airport. We're flying out,
and there's about thirty of these. It'll be an ongoing
series because she is bad ass.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
How old is this woman?
Speaker 3 (46:41):
I want to say, she's probably like twenty five, really,
and she can play this old lady and she makes
his in honey, and it just sounds realistic.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
She is hilarious and it's always the same character, Sue Dylan,
I have another one. Well, sure, we'll play it. We'll
play a lot of these. We'll milk this. But she
calls a person that works at like a dominoes at
home okay, and she's like, hey, listen, I.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
Got to call you. I have a beef with you,
and they're like, I'm not at work.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
She goes, I know, but I called and UH protested
because you put a pube in my pizza and you
wouldn't give me my money back. And I feel like
I need to call you to talk about and she
keeps them on the phone for like five minutes. They're like,
I don't understand how you have my home because you
can't just put pubes in my pizza. Anyways, really really
good stuff there, Yes, U Dylan? All right, coming up next,
(47:32):
it's the Today Game. Why are we talking about Dak Prescott?
You'll find out next before we get there. Thank you
to Frankel and Frankel, Mark Frankel, Scott Franklin, Jean Briquette.
These are the lawyers you need to call if you've
been involved in a wreck that's not your fault. These
are our guys, our good friends. We love these dudes.
They're always nominated for Best Attorneys in Dallas and d Magazine,
each one of them. And it's no surprise. But it's
(47:54):
more than the awards, Like they are really good for
their clients. And I know because I was one got
into a horrible wreck. I called the frank from the scene.
They fought the other side, set up the MRIs and
at the end of it all got me a nice
cash settlement. It's what they do, baby, Give them a
call as soon as you get hurt in the wreck
two one four, three, three, three, thirty three, thirty three
or eight one seven in all threes, get them on
(48:14):
the case. They're advocates for injury victims and they fight
for you with no out of pocket expenses for you.
So if you get hurt in the wreck, on the
job site, even like a dog attack where this is
not your fault. Now you have these issues, they fight
for you because the insurance companies will not experience family owned, local,
highly awarded, great people and partners with the Bin and
(48:35):
Skin show.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
See for yourself.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
It's Franklin Frankel two one four, three three, three thirty
three thirty three Chosen by the people and feared by
the insurance companies.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
Fire NK e L call Frankel first, Did you guys
ever mention why I wasn't on the show for a
couple days.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
We talked about the cease and desist, but there's like
a whole NDA aspect of it. You can't really get
into that. But I just want to thank everyone for
reaching out. A lot of people reached out, everything from
getting button plants to being suspended to being at my
daughter's basketball tournament and everything in between.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
So thank you to everyone out there who reached out.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
I just responded with can't comment, yeah, And I would
just like to say about all these rumors, just specifically
keep KT personally individually in your thoughts and prayers.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I think that's fair. But the rest of us don't
worry about us at all.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
And anyway, coming up here in ten minutes lost at
se yeah yep, but right now it's time for this
come on.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
Surprise.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Okay. So I stumbled up on this.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
I think it was on TikTok or something, and I
might have changed it because this was a while back.
But the question I have for you is, by the way, yesterday,
you know Jerry Jones had the opening press conference with
Steven and shotting all them. Well, we might get into
some of that tomorrow, but I really wanted to get
to this.
Speaker 5 (50:08):
You have to go to prison. These are your rules.
You have to go to prison. And the judge is like,
here's your sentencing. You can either A go to prison
for twenty years or B go to prison until the
Cowboys win the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (50:26):
This is this is so great that this is what
people are talking about.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
I love it. But make a picture in the frame.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
It's this is the type of thing Adam Kak would
come up with. Yeah, yeah, yeah, or do you know
if he liked the Strokes album. I'll complex no, uh,
but I think I would just take the twenty years. Honestly,
if you if you wait in prison till the Cowboys
won a Super Bowl, you're doing a life sentence.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
I don't think it'll ever happen.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
See this is and it's why it's a great hypothetical
because my first instinct I hear what you're saying. But
then I'm like, all right, I'm fifty five, I'm going
to prison, which we all knew that would happen.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
If I just do the twenty years, I'm gonna be
seventy five when I get out.
Speaker 1 (51:08):
Who cares.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
I would just take my chances that maybe steak and
crack the code and get And it's a teensier saying.
You see what I'm saying, super saying, what if you
were twenty? If I'm twenty, I take the twenty years.
I take the twenty years. Yeah, because if you're sixty five,
you can still blue chew it up. Okay, well you're
just talking about sex. What let's talk about Christina and
(51:32):
KT because they're younger. Yep, hold you guys do We'll
start with you.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Christina. Yeah, I have my whole life had of me still. Yeah.
Well I don't say that with conviction, So yeah, I don't.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
I don't have much life, but I do have a
great life right now. Yeah, And the dark side of
it is, Okay, how much longer does Jerry have? But
then you're probably gonna have to kind of rebuild the
team a little bit. And the chances of just one
team every year winning it's so low even if you
do a good team. You don't know, I think I'd
(52:03):
take the twenty years.
Speaker 3 (52:04):
Okay, I want to throw something out right quick. Yeah,
And I'm not just doing a bit. I believe this wholeheartedly.
I think Jerry Jones will live to at least ninety five.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
I believe this. Oh yeah, yeah, all of my heart.
I'm not just doing a bit. I believe.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
And that's despite the fact that you know, fifteen to
twenty percent of his blood is actually whiskey coursing to
his veins. I think that man will live until he
is ninety five, and that is and if he goes
past it, I think he might even blow past it. Well,
looks like rich people can afford the best lawyers, they
can afford the best doctors.
Speaker 1 (52:39):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Vampire boy blood, yes, I mean, here's no reason why
it would be cut short. He is flying in vampire
boys from other universes.
Speaker 5 (52:48):
So if you're a Cowboys fan, though, this puts you
in the predicament if you choose the twenty years of
pulling against the Cowboys, Because if you chose the twenty
years and then for the next twenty years in prison,
assuming you get good behavior, they'll probably lets you out
to watch the Cowboy game. I'm pretty sure in prison,
you can just kind of look at your phone and
(53:09):
do whatever.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
Now it gets crazy. There are like people live streaming
from prison. Yeah, so it's very odd.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
That would be the.
Speaker 3 (53:16):
Ultimate cowboy irony for a cowboy fan. Yeah, they actually
win it after ten years and they win a super
Bowl and you're in prison and then have to stand
as prison for an extra ten years. So to me,
so much of my life is just avoiding the worst
case scenario. I'd like to like look at things, kind
of calculate it. I'm like, well, if I can have
(53:37):
just the and the worst thing would be taking the
twenty and then they go win it and you were
just filled with that regret forever.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
Yeah, you don't overcome This is the year.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Okay, I think I think because of George Dickens, over
the next twenty years, I doubt your team is ever
as good as it is this season.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Do you know what I would think is gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
I think they're gonna eat trade multiple first round picks
for Vitavea and go with three interior defensive linemen and
that will be an interesting new defense here. Hit it right,
you know what I'm saying. In fact, they'll go with
a three man front and it's all interior guys and
then get rid of one of the secondary guys and
have five, wait, seven linebackers.
Speaker 5 (54:20):
I don't know, it's nut cutting time, super Bowl, Cowboys, Chiefs,
whatever is nutcutting? All I know is that I've got
the guy that I want and Brian Shottenheimer or making
the calls.
Speaker 3 (54:32):
Isn't nut cutting time when they're about to castraight a
calf or something else?
Speaker 1 (54:37):
And that's what it is. Huh? But how does that
try in fries? Yeah? But how does that tie into Blake? Dude?
Speaker 3 (54:43):
If you don't get it done now, you're going to
get your nuts cut off like this calf over here.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
You better make the move.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
This is nut cutting time you guys ever had eating
a calf ry?
Speaker 1 (54:51):
I think I have I respect animal rights?
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Coming up?
Speaker 1 (54:55):
Nigs Lost at Sea? Huh?
Speaker 3 (54:59):
And Skin Show ninety one point one The Eagle Let's
give away guns and Roses tickets. I hope you're listening
to Around the Sports Earlier Kevin ranked in the movies
coaches from one particular sport.
Speaker 1 (55:11):
What sport was it? We talked about it.
Speaker 3 (55:13):
If you're listening, you know you had the top fifteen
movie coaches from this sport. If you're listening, you know
the first person that can tell us what sport it is,
and they you leave your name, your phone number, your
email address. You're gonna win those guns and Roses tickets.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Good luck.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
We still have a couple other pair to give away
the rest of the week, but right now it's time
for this.
Speaker 15 (55:30):
Are you excited?
Speaker 7 (55:32):
And gets Turn for Pay featuring veteran news anchor Kat's
fun tweets.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
I have some news audio here.
Speaker 5 (55:43):
The guy's name is Kai Soto and he was gonna
sail from California to Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
He was just kind of unhappy with the way his
life was going. He's like, I'm gonna get my boat
in the sail to Hawaii.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
What's this? Here's the news.
Speaker 7 (55:54):
California man who was sailing to Hawaii to start a
new life has been saved after ending a month a
drift on the verge.
Speaker 12 (56:02):
Of jet Tuesday night, in the middle of the East Pacific,
crew members hauled Kai Sato a board a Patia cargo ship.
Sato had been a drift for thirty days after his
mass broke on a solo voyage from California to hov
I eat one of his key navigation tools, his phone
shut off after getting wet.
Speaker 13 (56:21):
That was really annoying to have not have my phone
because that's what I was using for navigation.
Speaker 5 (56:25):
Okay, hold on, do we don't have any backups here?
Because your phone got wet when you were on the ocean.
Now you can't use it anymore?
Speaker 1 (56:32):
Is that bad sailor that strategy? For sure?
Speaker 4 (56:36):
No compass on board?
Speaker 11 (56:37):
Dude?
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Are we doing here? It is?
Speaker 3 (56:40):
It's almost like, let's do a story on a real
dumb guy with the crazy idea.
Speaker 12 (56:44):
Yeah, well wait, one of his key navigation tools, his
phone shut off after getting wet.
Speaker 13 (56:51):
That was really annoying to have not have my phone
because that's what I was using for navigation.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Was really distracted that day. It wasn't a good day.
Speaker 12 (56:57):
Sato battled strong winds and current, eventually running out of
gas about five hundred miles from California.
Speaker 5 (57:04):
So he went, it was going to sail from California
to Hawaii and then he ran out of gas.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Sounds like he was in a speed boat. Like did
he think there was going to be a gas station
in I didn't know sailor ever, sailboats have gas. I
thought they were held by winded. I think you have both, right,
maybe both, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (57:23):
And the honesty they had both well, they didn't have
gas using the sail for.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Yeah, so like when you're parking the boat, you're not
using sail, using the motor.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
Yeah, Okay, cried for a whole California.
Speaker 13 (57:34):
I cried for a whole week, just drifting south, like miserable.
I felt like I was going to just like like
try to turn my motor on and just like suffocate,
you know, from the carbon man.
Speaker 5 (57:43):
Okay, here talking about how he's thinking about just doing
himself in while lost at sea because his phone got
wet and he ran out of gas.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Okay, like try to.
Speaker 13 (57:53):
Turn my motor on and just like suffocate, you know
from the carbon man.
Speaker 10 (57:57):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (57:57):
Or kill myself.
Speaker 13 (57:57):
I don't know what, because I was.
Speaker 1 (57:59):
I felt hopeless.
Speaker 12 (58:00):
After twenty days adrift, Satto says he ran out of
water and began using a plastic bag to create condensation
that he could drink.
Speaker 5 (58:08):
Okay, how about that one. That's trick for home. Once
we run out of water and we will plastic bag. Yep,
you just think it's some condensation you can drink it
and you're good.
Speaker 12 (58:20):
Still.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
All fun fact, little life fact.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
If it was me and I was in that situation,
I would have drank bear Grills.
Speaker 1 (58:26):
You're in right, That's what bear Grills teaches you.
Speaker 5 (58:30):
Yes, that's what Mike teaches Saul on Better Call Salt
when they get stuck out in the desert.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
Remember that one is that when he was in his
underwear in the pilot.
Speaker 5 (58:38):
No no, no, in Better Call Salt. Oh, because because
Mike and Saul had to go to some business out
in the desert.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
You guys finished.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
I didn't finish it. I dideah finished it. But also
I've slept after that.
Speaker 15 (58:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:49):
True.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
I'm gonna watch it this weekend. YEP season five and
season six of Better Called Salt. I think I stopped
like halfway through three Elite, The Elite, The The Best Man.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
Last night, my son was trying to decide if he
wanted to start the Sopranos or Succession.
Speaker 1 (59:06):
He had never seen either.
Speaker 3 (59:07):
I would recommend succession to a young person Wilder Max.
What a guest to have not fully experienced all those shows, Yeah,
the whole world of all those great shows out there.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
Has he ever watched Godfather? One and two. Oh, I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
I mean, I swear to God I see Godfather one
and two. I probably watch each one of those ten
times a year. But you won't watch any of the
other stuff we tell you to watch what you have.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
You know, he wants to watch a documentary about an owl.
Speaker 3 (59:33):
He talking about wild inside it did it look kind
of interesting?
Speaker 1 (59:37):
It's so sweet.
Speaker 3 (59:38):
That moment where it teaches itself to fly and eat
it is like, it's amazing, awesome. It reminds me of
the Foo Fighters. But now I've seen it in the trailers,
so now I don't need to see it huge the
whole story. You guys know the thing about Brad Pitt
and that dog. Now stop doing that.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
It's so palry.
Speaker 12 (59:55):
He ate mostly oatmeal, fish and squid that landed in
his boat on Tuesday of Patia. How vity ship came
into view.
Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
They got me.
Speaker 13 (01:00:04):
Food and water, and they were so good to any
of those guys.
Speaker 12 (01:00:08):
Sato is now staying with a relative as he plans
his next sale to the Philippines. Lennie Richardson, he'll fight
you news now what this guy's deal?
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
I just wish man think about the real unnecessary fact
of he's now staying with a relative. What kind of
news reporting is we're five seconds long? Can we just
get rid of where he is now? And wait a minute, honey,
he's staying with a relative. Wait you're telling me the
guy who's set off to set sail without really having
a waterproof phone and without enough gas to get you know,
(01:00:40):
outside of Galveston, he didn't have his own place in
my head to the boat of.
Speaker 5 (01:00:46):
Sailors that rescue him for just a bunch of gay guys,
because they got.
Speaker 13 (01:00:49):
Me food and water, and they were so good to
many of those guys.
Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
So what good man, get him some nectar.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
They're just doing ymca dan.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Yeah, Oh look, don't you worry. We're gonna save you.
Get on our boat, little man. They so good to
be those guys. Do you like semen? Hey, semen, I'll
be trading into the Mets. Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:01:17):

Time, all right, So this is going to turn into
a bit of a mini game. I'm here involving food
and the most iconic food in each state. And here's
how the game will work. You can steal, but Christina
will go first. You will choose a state. All right,
(01:03:13):
I'll go to that state. You'll make your guess. If
you don't get it, we'll go through. You guys can steal,
We'll go through, and if you don't get it through,
I'll start giving hints.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Okay, So Christina, you go first, pick a state.
Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
This might be a bad idea, but I'm gonna pick

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
But coming up next the fiery conclusion of this badass
game show about states and food. Next before we get there.
Let's talk about Parish roofing. Big storms smack DFW right
on the roof all the time, hail, heavy, heavy winds, downpours.
It just habits here all the time. Now, if a
shingle gets displaced on your roof just a little bit
and water is now seeping into your home, it could
(01:08:23):
lead to major financial repairs for you.
Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
You don't want that.
Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
That's why your roof is the first line of defense
for these big storms. So if you haven't had anybody
up on your roof in a while, just to make
sure it's water proof, reach out to our guy, Randy
Parrish Parish Roofing. Don't trust the guys going door to
door in your neighborhood. There's no license for roofers in
the state of Texas. If you let them up on
your roof, of course they're going to tell you need
a whole new roof. Then they're going to go try
to hire higher subcontractors to do the work. That's not
(01:08:47):
a real company. Call Randy Parish today two one four
two two seven eight four eight eight, and more than
likely when you call that number, someone with the last
name Parish is going to answer the phone. Truly a
family company, great small business right here in the Metroplex,
with people from here that care about this area and
ultimately care about you. Randy's gonna take great care of you,
(01:09:09):
never gonna mislead you. And it's it's the roof, but
obviously everything that comes with it, right the fencing, if
the windows get damaged during hail, all this type of stuff.
He can guide you, guide you through the insurance process,
the out of pocket obligations, maybe in some cases can
even help you lower it. And then of course if
there's financing needed, he can help you with that too.
Randy has got this cornered and he's gonna take good
(01:09:31):
care of you, and he's got the Bend and Skin
seal of approval.
Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
He is one of our personal friends.
Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
Can't do better than Randy Parrish two four two two
seven eight four eight eight or online at Parish Roofing
