in the show.
Speaker 2 (00:07):

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Have the free iHeart app because you'll use that talk
pack feature in order to try to win these tickets.
Who does Netflix really want to roast? KT has the
answers next, But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Track, another edition of things skin is tracking.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
All right, First, I think in order to have this conversation,
we need to establish generational boundaries. Okay, so I want
to go to what age was Christina? You're the same
age as KT, about a little bit younger, but same demo.
About how old were you when you started thinking about
the possible existence of aliens?
Speaker 4 (00:48):
It was when my parents watched X files because it
would completely freak me out. I still have PTSD when
I hear that song, So I don't know, maybe seven
or eight years old, So I was young.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Ben on your consciousness for a while. Oh yeah, Now
where do you stand on that? Do you believe there
are aliens that have come to our planet?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
I don't know about they've actually been here, but I
do think they exist absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Have you always believed in extra terrestrial life in UFOs.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
And I've been terrified of them?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yes? Okay, Where are you on the spectrum? KT?
Speaker 1 (01:18):
When did it enter your consciousness and how do you
feel about it?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Been in black age eight nineteen ninety six, Okay, do
you have you since then?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Have you believed in this sort of thing? Or have
you been a skeptic pretty skeptical until the last ten years? Okay,
that's kind of where I'm going on this. I like this.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
So you think in the last ten years it's changed. Yeah, Okay,
has what aliens are changed for you?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
I I've always thought I mean, like obviously, uh, life
in space, like that's a little different. But uh, as
far as aliens being here, I've always thought it would
be like them walking among us. We just didn't know
there were aliens.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Which has men in black Yeah? Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
When you were skeptical, back in your skeptical days, what
did you think of people that like believed in UFOs
and aliens and stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I think I thought they were kooks. Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
I know there are people looking for something in the
JFK thing, conspiracy theorist, and then I read the Epstein Files.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Okay, that's changed, which have.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Been kind of out for, you know, longer than when
they were released this year.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Right, Ben is probably very similar to me because we
grew up. We were seven years old when Close Encounters
of the Third Kind came out.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Just rewatched that the other night with my wife too.
Had she seen it before?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Did she like it? She thought it was too long. Okay,
did you guys watch the director's cut? I don't know,
it was great though. I love that movie.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
It's it's always been and it's always just been a
thing for my entire life. So yeah, to me, I've
always thought it was crazy, this notion that the galaxy,
the universe is, the universe is so huge.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
And that we're the only life form. That just seemed
ludicrous to me.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah, And had you ever spent much time thinking about
what UFOs are, what aliens are, and all that kind
of stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
So my parents are from Roswell.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
They're from Roswell to Mexico where the infamous spaceship crash
or whatever. So it's it's always been something that I've
thought about, and I've always thought that it's probably humans
in the future time traveling back. So you've always thought that.
I've always thought, oh wow, okay, I feel like that
that's a more recent thing for people. For the longest time,
(03:25):
there was talk about, you know, the technology that it
would take to get you here because time equals distance, right,
like you learn that in math, and so it seems
it's very difficult they must have.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
And then in Star Wars they have hyperspace, for example.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
But I feel like it's just more readily accepted now
just in casual conversation with people talking about extraterrestrials UFOs,
what they could be, where they're from, and all of that.
And I also feel like a shift in the conversation
happened with the matrix because of people trying to understand
(04:03):
reality in a different way. And the reason this is
on my radar is, you know, my wife is watching
a lot of this stuff now and she just casually
makes jokes like, okay, so the aliens are they created us, right,
which that's a very post matrix thing. Okay, that's a
very We're a simulation, we're a game for a higher
(04:24):
species and all that stuff. The reason I think it's
us traveling back is because they're not trying to harm us. Yeah,
like with that technology, they're just flying doing loops around
our fifteens and stuff like in not doing anything. Yeah,
I mean, if they wanted to, they have that technology,
they could easily destroy us.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
And I think also really, if you believe in evolution,
it very much ties in evolution. If you believe that
humans evolved from hairy monkeys, and you look at the
what a humanoid alien is be it's a logical thing
that biology and disease could transform you in a certain
way to start looking like that. Like you can do
the old Charles Darwin line and make it go there
(05:03):
if you wanted it to go there. And now we're
in the nuclear age, how does that change mutations, all
those kinds of things, Like it opens up this other
giant conversation. But the thing's so interesting to me is
when I was growing up, the way people would treat
people that talked about aliens and stuff.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, that was like the bigfoot in lockness marks.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
And now it's just very casual conversation. And I think
a big part of it too is those you know hearings,
those congressional hearings from a couple of years ago. And
I do think we've talked about this a couple times.
I do think a lot of it is coming to
a head with Disclosure Day. What is is next month?
It's June, yep. I can't wait to see what how
it all unfolds. And then of course we have Wimby
(05:45):
Who's an alien?
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Twelveth clearly all right, there you have it.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Things skin is tracking coming up next KT We're gonna
take us in the entertainment headline.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
We now know who Netflix actually wanted to roast next
to ninety seven to
Speaker 2 (05:56):
One skin Nast ninety seven on the Igo
