Speaker 1 (00:00):
I did it all cookie, cookie, cookie, and.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
You can say a cookie and sting it in my job.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Stick it in my job, stick it in my job.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Wow? What a Yeah. Katie sent me that last week
and figured out I play it now. Okay. So, speaking
of last week, the food Fighters announced I believe it
was on Friday, that for Dave Girl's birthday in January,
they were going to do a special benefit concert where
all proceeds are going to Hope the Mission and La Mission.

(00:35):
This is homeless, homelessness, I believe.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Good, no good.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
On top of that, they had a pre sale yesterday
and if you wanted pre sale tickets you had to
show up in person with an item to donate before
you could even buy the ticket.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I love this. It's like Toys for Tots on steroids.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Right, And so now I'm like, okay, it's absolutely impossible
to hate Dave Girl at this point point, Am I right?
I mean, yeah, he's doing all these good things for charities.
This is for his birthday, It's all going to charity.
How can you hate this guy?

Speaker 3 (01:09):
And how many people were really hating him is why?
I mean, I know he get Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
She's still with him though his daughters she just released
a new song today too.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Does it call I Have Daddy Issues? No, I I
don't think so. I think it's just called It's Me.
I'm violent. I love Dave Grohl. I stand with him. Yeah, no,
for sure, with my fist up in the air.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
This is a tough personal thing to go through, and
usually through adversity you cannot stronger on the other side.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
They did play it pretty right though, because like they
were off for what almost a whole year after that
scandal came out, and they were doing small pop up shows,
and now he's like, hey, I'm going to do an
entire benefit show for my birthday.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
They needed to take time off too and figure out
which drummer they're gonna end up going on as well,
because they apparently didn't like the guy they just replaced
to Taylor.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Did I tell you guys about my toys for concept? Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I think he did, Yeah, and then we agreed with it.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You have a lot of concepts, though, so go ahead.
This is Toys for Tots two and it's not like
the number two it's too Oh and so you come
and you bring an unwrapped gift, an opened unwrapped toy
and you exchange it for Tater Tots, and then we
give you the Tater tots, and then we take your

(02:26):
toy and then we sell it for the cash. No,
and well no, but there's what I'm saying. You're getting
the tots. Yeah, you're getting the delicious tie. We get
the toys, and tots are cheap to make, so ultimately,
on the resell value of the toys, we do better
profit margin wise than if we were just to sell tots.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
You should do it in June so it's not as confusing. Well,
that's why everyone's doing Toys for Tots. Now, that's why
it's Toys for Tots.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Two. Yeah, toys for Tots also.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
But honestly, you should donate the profit to Toys for Tots.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
What about my business?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, I also watched a movie over the weekend, and
I mean, I would be shocked if Skin hasn't seen
this movie. Katie, you may have as well. But I'm
just gonna lay out the plot line and see how
long it takes you to get it, and then I
want your thoughts on this movie. Okay from early nineties. Okay,
Good Fellas starts with a guy it's his birthday. He
goes to the theater to watch a kung fu movie.

(03:21):
A girl shows up while he's watching the movie. They
have a whole night together, spend the night together.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
God the Daniel.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
He turns out she turns out to be a call girl,
starts crying about it, says that she loves him, doesn't
want to be a call girl anymore.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I can't remember the name of this.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Elvis tells him to go kill her.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Oh no, it's the David Lynch movie.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Is it David Lynch?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, it's a Nick Cage and Laura Dern Nope, No, Tarantino. Oh,
oh it's Oh, I'm getting it confused. It is Tarantino.
It's true romance.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
True romance. Have you seen this movie? K, So, what
are your thoughts on True?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
It's a blast, It's.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
It was really fun right from the beginning. It takes
off pretty quick. But I will say that ellness thing
is just so weird to me.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
So this is this is Tarantino before he was directing
his own movies. And if you want to talk about
Gary Oldman in the role of Lifetime.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh my god, he's a pimp in this movie. Kse,
all right, he is.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
He's a white dude with dreads and like gold teeth.
Do he have an eyepatch or a bad eye?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
He's got a bad eyes, blind in one eye, but
you can't recognize him. And so when Mike told me
he's like Gary Oldman's in this movie, I was like,
I don't where is he? When does he show up?
Because you just saw him.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's Pete Christian Schlick.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yes, Christian Slater, James Gandolfini before he was James Gandolfini's
in this thing.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
There's a really famous scene with Dennis Hopper, Uh, hold up.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Hy where he says a lot of slurs.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Well that's like, that's the score, says he trick right.
Or Tarantino does this stuff. He puts really racial terminology
in a scene, like think about the scene in Pulp
Fiction where Quentin Tarantino is talking about the dead end
in his garage. Oh right, remember that, And it's like

(05:19):
this is why Tarantino and Spike Lee had beef. Like
Spike Lee was like, hey, white boy, you're not allowed
to put this in your movie, and Tarantino's like, hey,
I'm writing characters that talk like this, you know. Yeah.
Uh it is a wild ride. It's a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Great and also Brad Pitt probably the best Stoner role
you will ever see. He made me laugh every time
it went to Brad Pitt and he said something. I
laughed every single time.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
It's early Brad Pitt, our boy, Michael Rappaport's in it. Yes,
I'm loaded cast. Oh, it's it was a huge and
it's it's again. It's before pulp fiction. So Tarantino also
wrote the Oliver Stone movie with Robert Downey Junior call
and uh Mickey and Mallory. What was that called? I

(06:02):
don't know, Woody Harrelson, juliette Lewis, what the hell was
that called? All right, like I've seen the movie before,
look it up, Oliver Stone, Woody Harrelson, Juliet Lewis, Oliver Stone.
But in Tarantino wrote it and hated what Oliver Stone
did with it.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Woody Harrelson, Yeah, natural born, natural born killers of course.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
So Tarantino wrote that, and he wrote True Romance. But
those are before pulp fiction came, okay, And I don't
remember if Reservoir Dogs had come out yet or not,
but this is when Tarantino's taking Hollywood by storm as
wide that before Dogs was ninety two, okay, So True
Romance is what ninety four? Ninety three? Okay?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Ye, So highly recommend if you haven't seen it or
if you just want to rewatch it.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
What did you think, man?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I think it was on Netflix for free. I loved it.
I seriously loved it. I was like this, I don't
know why I've heard the name before, I've heard of
True Romance, but the fact that all of these actors
are in it that are huge actors, now, it was great.
It was fun the entire way.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
As I was having a memory melt down and couldn't
remember anything, I probably talked all over you. The lead
is Patricia Arcatt, yes, oh wow? And so Patricia Arcatt
and Christian Slater. It's great. It's a really fun movie,
all right. I like that. That was Christina's cookie Jark
