Speaker 4 (00:26):
The cofbe ho.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Dim I news your mind, dear my news? Control in nevenue?
Speaker 5 (00:37):
What's in the toby hold?
Speaker 4 (00:40):

Speaker 3 (00:41):
We never know what's koby ho? You don't know?
Speaker 4 (00:48):
So I for where we're going to do our show.
Off to Tollay and Addison. There's a lot of shopping
developments around here. And right across the tollway is a
was a Dick's Sporting.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Goods right and this is it.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
And then they moved over to the other parking lot
across the street from it. They moved it and built
a new one.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Meanwhile, where the.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Old Dick's Sporting Goods is, there's a big sign that
says going, going gone. And for months I've just been like, man,
when are they gonna do something with this building? I
thought they were just saying it's gone, going, going gone.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
It's gone.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
It's over here now. And the going going gone sign
is kind of up on the old dick Sporting Goods
to where you could see, not very far away across
the street is where the new Dick's Sporting Goods is.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
So it was very confusing.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
And then I was tipped off that Dick's going going
gone is really they're just trying to get rid of
all the old crap they have. Did you know this
this common knowledge to anyone?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I Well, I went shopping for some Christmas gifts for
the boyfriend, right, and I saw that and discovered, oh
my god, I can buy everything here for half the price.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
It's incredible.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
So in general, anytime a place is doing any kind
of shut down or move, you can buy all that
crap crazy cheap. Now. I don't know about the new
Dick's location. I'm assuming it's what like half the size or.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
No, the new Dick's location is way bigger, is that right? Yes,
it's experiential. Yeah, there's a mountain climbing wall. It's trying
to go down a Bass Pro Shop model. Yeah, yeah,
shields and all that, so it's bigger.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Okay, keep in mind it is like one hundred paces
across the street right there, so it's very confusing to me.
But then I learned that, oh no, they're trying to
get rid of stuff.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
So I'm like, okay.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
I had a little time on Monday, went in there.
I thought you guys would be proud of me, honestly,
cause you guys are sneaker heads. I'm really not. But
I was like, god, dang, there's a lot of shoes
and they've got it all organized.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
Me.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I have pretty common shoe size, well above average size twelve,
and so it's all organized very well, and you just
go through it and you look at I'm like, these
prices can't be real because shoes are expensive now too,
like everything else in the world. I got me a
pair of Jordan's. And this is before I had seen
(03:13):
the video that we'll discuss later. I got a new
pair of Jordan's. This is not something I would normally do,
is go make a purchase on Jordan's. It's just never
been a part of my life got me a pair
of Jordans for like sixty percent off. Feeling pretty good
about that. Saw a bunch that I was like, man,
Ben and Skin need to know about this. They need
to go over there and start browsing the shoes.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
It feels like a prank. Now.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
The other thing, there's tons of other stuff, and I
didn't do a lot of browsing, but I could have found, like,
if you wanted to go get some Mavericks shirts or
Cowboys or whatever, you could.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Do all that.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
But I was thinking about where I Yeah, I have
like three pairs of pants, four pairs of pants, maybe
three or four pairs of shorts. They're all Travis Matthew.
It's all based on gift cards that have been given
to me as Christmas presents over the years. It's what
I like to wear. It's very comfortable. I'm never going
back to jeans. And I'm like, Okay, surely they don't
have any Travis Matthews because Travis Matthew has gotten too
(04:09):
popular over the years, and they don't have a thing
under one hundred dollars, which is just not how I
would shop. But I start going over there and I'm
browsing through looking for some shorts. Gotta find one your size.
It's not a color I would normally buy, but I pair.
I found a pair of Travis Matthew shorts. Comfortable as hell.
You can feel the texture, like, this is right, this
(04:31):
is this is this is not some fake knockoff. It's
not spelled different for twenty five bucks. Oh that are normally.
I'm just telling you you may not find anything you like.
Everyone Dick's going going gone.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
What is the color?
Speaker 5 (04:49):
Because you said it was a color you wouldn't It.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Was like a like a burn orange, Like, oh god,
but I think I could make it work with the
black my black T shirt collection.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Yeah. Just it's just because you bought the shorts for
twenty five dollars doesn't mean it's a good deal. If
you'll never because you're never gonna wear burn orange shirts shorts.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Dude, I think I will. I think I will.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah, I think I will now wear us add him
to my collection of shorts I learned tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
I mean it's it's like this, you're getting a starter
that at such a discount, you got to add them
to your team. You just y're a rotation, but you
don't you don't know if they're gonna be a long reliever,
ever a closer rarely gonna be used, but you gotta
add them to the squad.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
I think you just gave up a fourth round pick
for Trey Lance.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
No, dude, this is Rico Dudle for a million dollars.
I'll do that. Okay, this is wonder and there's so
much more crap in there. I'm going back.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
And I also just found out, Okay, there's some more
of these in the metroplex. So Dix is like, I
don't know, maybe they're just trying to get bigger stores,
but like the going going Gone store, which sounds so stupid,
is gonna save your wall at a ton of money.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
There's one up in Plano too, so I'm gonna go
hit that one.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
So are they consolidating old Dix into this one giant location.
It's like outlet dicks or are there gonna be a
bunch of giant dicks?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I think they That feels like that that could work. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
I think the idea is they're going for a well,
at least a couple of huge dicks, because the one
in Plano was up at the Planet Legacy Hall area
up there.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
How much. You see, if they have some, that's a stretch.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
So so you could go basically to the Dick outlet
and just load up, is what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I could, and there's still value with a with the
tiny dicks.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Where are those?
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well, then that's the question.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
These are some of the other ones, and those those
are going to be looking to get enhanced over the years.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I thought you were saying there's better value in the
tiny dicks.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
No, there's better value at the tiny Dicks. But I
think Dicks is a company is trying to expand.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Right.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
With the tiny dick. It just depends on how quickly
they restock and reload.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
And it's understandable with it being you know, kind of
cold weather season for the smaller ones, no doubt part
of it.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Did anybody explain why they built a brand new Portillo's
that will never open?
Speaker 3 (06:57):
It's what is happening across the street?
Speaker 6 (07:00):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
All Right, there you have it. There's the cubby hole.
We've got to get back into this Kevin Durant story.
We'll do that at about four fifteen. After that we'll
check the tape reinvestigating the Michael Jordan controversy.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
As it unfolded on our very show. But coming up next,
where are you gonna take us in the cookie jar?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Christina?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Well, we had a big tour announcement. I'm gonna tell
everyone how they can win free tickets before anyone else
can buy them.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Next, Toney
