Speaker 1 (00:00):
Been in Skin Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle
Don't forget Kat says, we're going to finish that burger
list tomorrow, but we did put up a social media
video about your favorite fast food burger. Check it out
on the Eagle Instagram account. Right now, however, it's time
for this.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
It's time to go into the schedule.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Wordybug, let's go back in time, you guys. So there's
a lot of things that have happened. I've got three
or four things to play here, and I think we
should go back to twenty twenty. Do you remember what
would have been happening August seventh, twenty twenty. What was
your state of mind then, do you.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Think when the pandemic start March March?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, yeah, well, just kind of hanging out and getting
used to things. Being a critical iHeart employee.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
All right, God, we were so lucky to have started
that job when we did.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I think we're lucky to be able to keep coming
to work in a reasonably empty building because I think
it probably have to help us keep our Say.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
We could have been begging for money outside of a Starbucks.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
A lot of people did it the other way. They
just didn't nobody came to work. We came to work
because there was nobody else here. Yeah, yeah, but there
there was something we Our situation was a little bit
unique because our employment wasn't impacted. It was a scary
time in the world and whatnot, but you know, we
got to get in our car and go to work
every day and it was weird seeing like no traffic

(01:26):
at all.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah, it was kind of crazy. But also like it
was bad, oh, clearly, and a lot of people died too, right,
so like it was bad.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I also think, if I remember correctly, they were getting
ready to crank.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Up the bubble so o for the NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Yeah, I think August of twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I hated. I hated.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I hated it, live music stops, in a lot of scenarios.
I hated all that. But interest in terms of like
living through it and all that stuff, well, I'm pretty
I'm pretty wired for a COVID environment. Like I could
just go at the time to my and hang out
by myself for hours and be fine.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Until you spill whiskey on your Oh damn it, I did.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I didn't cost myself a lot of money on that one.
And this new one now that I've had since then. Boy,
it gets hot real fast and makes a lot of noises.
That's not good. But uh, Fortnite was also happening a
lot with Big Ben Ben Rogers Fortnite and we have
audio of him five years ago clutching up on some

(02:26):
nubes online.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
No way.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
On Shooter, He's gotta shoddy over here.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Somehow Ziggy overshadows your big moment.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, he had a big moment of his own Shooter
mcswaggen awesome there, and uh, you know, he's likely to
have all those real guns in real life to all
those same guns, and Ziggy was just it just sounded
like he was reaching the ultimate climax. And again I
asked him, man, were you trying to be quie because
people were asleep in your house? And he was like, no,

(03:24):
that's just the noise he makes. Yeah, he just doesn't
know how to celebrate.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Really, that's the noise that Amazon driver was making.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
There was a while where we were playing where you
were playing and Kavanaugh was playing a lot too, and
that was so much fun. That was one of the
funnest times I ever had playing video games, and we
would all go land. There was these five houses, and
we called each house a different Cowboys offensive linemup so
we could communicate on where we were landing.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah, tough to do that with this offensive line. Right,
piece it together, right.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I'm winding up. Travis Frederick, who's starting right now for
guiding and Jones.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Well, you know we've got to Nate Thomas starting at
left tackle right now. And he's the Travis Frederick blocking
Hunger Foundation Long drive winner. Oh right handle that this
year and incredible three fifty easily and I top golf.
So he's playing a little left tackle, good drive. That's
what you want to have. Your left tackle, left guard

(04:20):
Tyler Smith, center will be BBB right guard booker, right
tackle Terrence Steele.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Okay, okay, So at the time of this, already prior
to this, I had written or there was a story
that I was the oldest Fortnite player in the world
because I said that at the fan and then all
of a sudden that was out there as a headline
as if it was real media that I was the
oldest Fortnite player. And listen to how bad I am

(04:46):
doing that because as like, listen, how many people are
giving me instruction Like you if somebody's good at what
they're they're doing here, they don't need instruction. Listen to
how many people are trying to tell me where to
go to kill the last guy?

Speaker 6 (05:10):
No way, more on Shooter. He's got a shotty feeling
over here, Shooter, Bro.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Who's the last voice?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Shooter?

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Okay, Yeah, there was another boys Joe Bros.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I'm not sure which other what the other person was
for that game man, because it was me and Shooter
and Ziggy and I don't know who the fourth was.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
And also hasn't Sean Shreef audio been added to that.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
There's a lot to be added to that, some nervous
farts and things like that.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Can't let that go?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
In twenty twenty two, the PGA Tour lost their color commentator,
Nick Faldough. He was ready to retire and do some
other awful things.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Oh thank god he didn't pass away. I thought you're
about to tell me a horrible story.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
It sounds like he did. This is how they treated
him on his final PGA broadcast when he retired on
this day three years ago.

Speaker 7 (06:10):
You said one time, I'm not very often at a
loss for words I am now except just to say,
Nick your final thoughts on this remarkable run.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
You got it right, that was already any right journey.

Speaker 8 (06:23):
I've always been ready, mate, We've been lucky.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
We've been very fortunate. Sixteen years.

Speaker 8 (06:30):
People only knew hang on the time that you get ready,
say you breathe five seconds free.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Okay, you got this.

Speaker 8 (06:38):
So I was in a boat in island and they
gave me a call and said, how would you like
to sit next to Jim Nance? And literally fell out
the boat.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I really did.

Speaker 8 (06:45):
There was two six and here we are sixteen ars late.
Been an amazing run and held the crew. You got
that infect show.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Oh I got to stop over for a minute. I
think it's very important to say, is Nick Follas trying
to get to this Jim Nance is lit up? I
mean he is bricked up, dude, dude, he is so
this is his favorite thing to do. He is aroused
beyond belief right now.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
I was gonna say, after hearing it, right after the
bin audio, he's kind of taken on a ziggy shooter
role like he's encouraging him.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
But also, I've never seen this footage. I've only heard it,
so part of me too watch it.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I kind of imagine Nick Faldo Faldo laying down in
a coffin and Jim Nance keeps trying to close the coffin,
and he's kind of holding his arm up because he's
got a few more things to say before they close
the coffin.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
The other two guys are helping out too. One of
them is Ian Baker Finch. I know the other guy
is Ian Baker Fincher retired last week. But yeah, here
we continue again. Just know that Jim Nance is excited
about this though.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Then an amazing run, and.

Speaker 8 (07:53):
The crew affectionately and respectfully call you the workers. They
put the pictures out, We do the raftling. We have
an easy joke.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 8 (08:04):
I'm a single choe and I've found that sixty five
three brothers.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Thank you, thank you, thank you Nick. Bless you.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
You could only sing what was in this tower. It's
just surrounded by his CBS family and our families. Thank you,
Nick for gracing this booth.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
And our lives.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
And now you and Lynz will go to.

Speaker 7 (08:26):
Your happy place for the big sky of Montana. Yeah, God,
bless you, Nick. I'm ready, Thanks my friend, I'm ready.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Oh, I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
It was as Imby was walking out to the curve
of the suitcase, is waiting for a bus to take
him to heaven.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
It's all over.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
He's looking directly into the light.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yes, now.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
You could only sing what was in this tower, rounded
by his CBS family and our families. Thank you Nick
for gracing this booth and our lives.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
And now you and Lynz will go to.

Speaker 7 (09:10):
Your happy place for the big sky of Montana. Yeah, God,
bless you, Nick. I'm ready. Thanks my friend, I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
He's the craziest thing ever. He ascended into heaven, surrounded
by his CBS loved ones. He had been on Golf
hospice for a couple of weeks, and when Jim finally
pulled the plug, he got this.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Buddy walk out to the curb. The bus is coming.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Your life's over. It's your suitcase. And then they all
looked up in the clouds. He's up there with Abraham
Lincoln and Chubbs.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
I think I could do one more tournament.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
No, you're done, You're done, no more.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Turn his headset off, said we said goodbye one more hole.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Before he passed. They put a he rose in the
on the Cincinnati Reds broadcast, and they probably shouldn't have
because he's unhinged and he made the announcers very uncomfortable
during the game.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Tony congratulationous, what did you hit? And Tony says, Shoe,
I hit a high fastball, and Joe didn't know what
to say.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Jo said, that's looped out the right field.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
It's the subject real quick on that loop.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Out the right field. I'm just described to the action totty.
Sure we don't have a sad seven second delay? So, oh,
how old is he there?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Pete rose.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Two years under death, so whatever he died at.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Yeah, I think he was in the eighty range.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Late definitely age where you just don't care, you take.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Care whatever you want. You just start taking shots at
Terrence Steele for no reason.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
He's probably eighty or eighty one, something like that.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
Man.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Last night, one AM saw the last hour and fifteen
minutes of Major League that I don't think i've seen.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
In an hour and I were ten years or longer.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
It's fine, right, it was good. It's good, surprisingly good.
Everybody go home and watch Major League tonight. I'll never
forget the time that KT had a chance to look
the ghost of Nick Faldo dead in his eye.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
He looked at him, and he said.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Thank you for participating in our Texas Iconic Food Bracket.
We'll see you tomorrow with.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
More, and he gave Nick chance to carry on. Christina,
are gonna stick around play music till ten o'clock. All right,
Christina is in the cut. More Eagle music next here

Speaker 6 (11:34):
