Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, we got some food news coming up at

(00:01):
four o'clock. Food news you can use foods that local
chefs cannot stand. Coming up in ten minutes, it's Christina's
Cookie Jar. Some music movies that we all should be
looking forward to. But right now it's time for this intinne.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
A little more fallout from the Netflix roast of Kevin Hart.
It was reported today by a variety that Netflix first
reached out before Kevin Hart. They asked Paul McCartney.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
God, that would have been horrible, right? Why?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Why?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Why would why would anyone? That's just a nice, sweet
old man? I think if you also, I brought this
up yesterday, if you guys had seen that man on
the Run documentary, you'd be double what the f? Because
he is a guy that was inside his head about
what people said about him. Why he very much cared.
Why not Paul Sign? Why not the Pope? I actually

(01:04):
think Paul Simon would go with it. He's he was
always on a lot of funny dude, He did a
lot of funny bitch. Seems like a tiny sweet man.
Have I know Ben has seen this? Have y'all seen
the video for you can call me ol with him?
And Chevy Chase. It's really funny. That's not too far
from Shane Gillis destroying you.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, like guys like Tony Hinchcliffe, who's approval rating is he?

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I mean it's so extreme.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Well, no one is down the middle on Tony Hinchcliffe,
No love him Raiden, So like, I don't know. Jeff Ross,
the Eurosmaster General, said, uh, they asked Paul McCartney because
he said, Paul McCartney Paul McCartney roast would be good for.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
The world as everyone loves him. As Hey, if we're
just like, who are we gonna call?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I guess first pick and then move down to until
you get to Kevin Hart.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
So how many other people do you think we're in
line between McCartney and Kevin Hart.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I don't know. One of the names was Will Smith.
Oh my god, wow. I think might have been good
for Will Smith.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I don't think he could have handled it right, but
I think it would have been good for his image.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
I agree, And doesn't he have another movie kind of
coming out?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Like I'm not sure, Mayne, Yeah, I could just be
making that up.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I couldn't, I mean, couldn't hurt.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I wish there was datus somewhere where we could see
how the general public currently feels about Will Smith, Like
if you could compare it to three years ago to now, Yeah,
I mean, are we too we too close to this
and we care more about it than your average person
and they don't care.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I would like to know who doesn't think of the
whole oscar slap moment?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, like what does that do to her? Because before
he was happy, go lucky. Everybody likes Will Smith. I'm
gonna go watch his movie. Yeah, And that was just
like that was like a big pullback to curtain moment.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I don't know some other people or the other story
that's come out of this is oh yeah, oh sorry.
Jeff Ross did mention. Stevie Wonder was another one, and
he wanted to name it Stevie Wonder.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
You've got to hear it to believe it. But he
might have just been doing jokes.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
For interviews, but these are it is funny to roast
someone like it's like an icon and very old, and
then you could get people to turn out turn up
for the dais because they couldn't get anyone to come
do this that It's very clear to me that they
were struggling to get like big A listers get to
go do this. Michael J dropped out of it. He

(03:35):
was gonna do it, and he dropped out of it.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I saw his quote, yeah, I think it was.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I don't have the quote in front of me.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
He was saying something about how white people and black
people roast people differently, and white people he's like, black
people are like making fun of your shoes and white
people are like talking about racism.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Like it's all.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
He's like, gone, yeah, okay, I have it for me
now because uh, someone said this to me today because
there's another comedian who is like dog piling on Michael Jay.
I thought Michael J was just doing an Instagram joke
like he always does with carousels. So it's one line
at a time, because here's what he did say on Instagram,
and it's like white guys and black people joke different.

(04:19):
Black guy roast like look at this guy's shoes. White
roaster like slavery, math, slain teens, sex crime, slurs family secrets.
And then if you turn the page on the Instagram
one more time, he goes, white guys don't get an
f about their shoes like that, and They're like, oh,
Michael J's being a big p about the roast, and
I was like, no, he was just doing a thing.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
He's accurate, though, I mean it's like, uh yeah, It's
like some of the stuff that like, you know, roastings
someone about their husband's suicide and some of that stuff
just felt like it was too far and unnecessary.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I think I think.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
That I think it's very much like in the Roast,
and part of this has come out of the political
movie of the last six years, where people feel like
the left and cancel culture. I mean, you find a
comedian that didn't act persecuted during that stretch time, Like,
think about how many stories were I mean, comedians were
acted like they were being persecuted. It was no longer

(05:16):
an analysis of what their material was. It was, oh,
you're just coming after me because of cancel culture. So
they all got in line and latched onto that whole thing,
and the roast was like their safe space. And so
it very much was to Ben's point when the substitute
teacher shows up and it's like, we're going insane in

(05:37):
the classroom today.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
That's that's what's happened.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
And then all of it came out of the whole
cancel culture stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I just obviously I don't really have a problem like
making jokes about people who are there, right, But then
like Tony Hitchcock did like a whole George Floyd thing,
which was like, well that felt like really like you
just wanted to get some off your chest there, right,
It's totally unnecessary and he's got that reputation. Well, I know,
Pete Davidson did the thing though where he called Kanye
gay Nazi and I was like, well, Pete, actually it's

(06:07):
kind of earned that joke because he was gone through
it so like I don't know he was in the
scope he's speaking about his own personal life. Is a
weird unwritten or there's just like a weird line there,
And yeah, Paul McCartney, the rest of Paul McCartney would
be funny. I think you'd get more people up there, dude,
Big Jay Oakerson, naim Lynn even going to Chelsea Handler.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
I'm like, we are reaching pretty far.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, but think about what you're asking a celebrity to
go through, right, We're gonna get the most these people
throwing hatchets at your nuts for no reasons. And keep
in mind all these celebrities have a whole pr team
that's like, do not do this now. One person who
very much could benefit from this Diana Russini. Oh yes, Oh,

(06:52):
the Diana Russini celebrity roast and it's all NFL reporters
roasting or Rabel.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
All right, there you have it.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
There's the entertainment headlines, Christina, Where you gonna take us
to the cookie jar?

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Some music related movies to put on your radar? Next
on the Eagle before we get there.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Thinking to Frankel and Frankel, Mark Frankel, Scott Frankel and
Jean Burkett. Those are the three partners at Franklin Frankel
caught up with Jean Burkett this morning.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Man, just such a great guy.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
All those guys are fantastic human beings, good friends of ours,
been partnering with them for a long time. They all
are phenomenal lawyers. They just all three of the guys
were just nominated the three partners for Best Lawyer in
dfwn D magazine. That's a massively high honor and it
happens to him every year. But it's more than the awards.
It's the job they do. And I can speak about

(07:39):
it firsthand because they handled my case. I got into
a horrible wreck one day. It wasn't my fault. I
called the Frankels from the scene. And you may be thinking, well,
I can't afford a lawyer, No, no, no cost, you nothing
to call the Frankels. They only get paid if they
reach a settlement on your behalf. They fought the other side,
set up the MRIs X race and physical therapy and
at the end of it all got me a nice
cash settlement.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
And look, they have been doing this for thirty years,
thirty years of being advocates for injury victims, fighting for
you to get what you deserve, what should be yours.
When someone hurts you, it's not your fault. They're the
ones who are negligent. And now you have medical bills,
miss time from work, all sorts of issues could come
up with that. That is not fair. They fight for

(08:19):
you and they've been doing it for a very long time.
So if you get hurt and erect call the Frankeles first.
Two one, four, three, three three thirty three thirty three
or eight one seven, three three three thirty three thirty
three call the Frankeles first chosen by the people and
feared by the insurance companies

Speaker 3 (08:36):
FR E, NK e L call Frankel first
