the absolute best part. A little birdie tipped me off
right before the interview and said, Hey, you should ask

hear him be surprised by me asking. He starts laughing,
and then he just shares the story, which is awesome.

Walk me through the first time you met Michael Irvin.
I get drafted during this mini campus. It was a
rookie mini camp the veteran players. It was against the
rules for the veteran players to actually show up during
the rookie mini camp. And we sat in the little room.
We were learning the defense, and Dave Campbell had this clicker.
(01:43):
He was teaching us cover one. This is how we
run cover one, This is how we run cover two. Here.
Then it's a dark room and all of a sudden,
the door opens up. It just like kicks in, and
this guy flips on the lights and he walks in
the room and he's butt ass naked. Dave Campo God,
Dave Campo, trust me. And he walks into the room.

He walks right down the middle of the aisle. And
I've never met Michael Irvan. I've seen Michael Irvan on TV.
And he walks in the room and he turns around.
He has no clothes on, no socks, no towel, just
button naked and he walks in.

I'm looking.

I'm my eye contact, dude. I'm like, yeah, hey man, yeah,
I'm right, I'm right here on the shoulders. Man, Like,
what is going on? You know, Mike after for a reason,
we need to get better on.

You know how he's likely like he's losing his voice,
yelling his scream deepen win the championships here, you know.
But then he gets done and he just walks out
of the room, slams the door, and Dave of Campo
doesn't even miss a beat. Man, He's just like, Okay,

Nothing nothing, No one said anything.

We just sat there and watched this thing. And I
was like, that's my first introduction to Michael Irving.

Gosh, I love that.

And and that is also like not even remotely surprising,
like you've heard so many crazy stories about him, but
that is a really I mean it's it's I don't
think he just decided I need to go talk to
these people now. The man got naked to get their attention.
I mean, yeah, it's a wild story, but you're it
is very believable and I can't believe we'd never heard

it before. But it also is very It's odd, obviously,
but it also is very cool. A lot of times
in pro sports, a guy gets paid and he didn't
care anymore. He didn't try as hard as anymore. He's
got paid, he's good to go. He cared so much
about winning that he stormed in there and tried to
get them fired up while he was new naked, just
to set the culture and say, I don't care how
good you were in college, you suck. We're here to win.

You better bring it. And I'm like, that's a good
tone setter. Yeah, I don't know. I just I can't
also be like drink this in Yeah.

it's crazy that you must have ran out. I think
this is the first year in the drought where it
really could be different. Oh And I hate saying that
because it always feel it always feels like you fall
for the trap every year.

They're gonna be good this year.

But I kind of think they could. This could be
the first time since you know, the last time they
went to the NFC Championship thirty years ago, that they
could get back. I think they're gonna win the Super Bowl.
