Speaker 1 (00:00):
We've got a lot to talk about, including China tariffs
going to one hundred and four percent. At midnight was
the announcement from the White House not messing around, making
it clear they're ready to make a deal with China,
but they're not going to allow China take advantage of
the US. In other words, we're willing to go back
and forth as long as you want to. After China

(00:21):
retaliated with extreme tariffs on the US. Now the White
House is doing much more than just dealing with China.
There's also some really exciting news coming out of the
White House, and I want.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
To get to that first.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Because the President of the United States of America standing
with American workers, with the coal miners, their families and
talking about energy independence, talking about putting miners back to
work at the White House, explaining that it's time for
us to be careful that we're not relying on others,
and it's an issue also of national security.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Here's part of what the presidents at the White House.
Take a listen.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Today, we're taking historic action to help American workers, miners, families,
and consumers. We're ending Joe Biden's war on beautiful clean
call once and for all, and it wasn't just Biden,
it was Obama and there were others. But we're doing
the exact opposite. And all those plants that have been

(01:18):
closed are going to be opened if they're modern enough,
or they'll be ripped down and brand new ones will
be built.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
We're going to put the miners back to work.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
And I said I was going to do this, and
I've said it loud and clear, and it's time to
do it.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Then we need it now.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
The President mentioned their historic action. This is because he's
no longer going to war with coal miners. He's saying,
I'm here to help you. I'm here to help Americans.
I'm here to help your families. I'm here to help
consumers as we are continuing to see the prices of
oil and gas prices go down all over the country.
The President making it clear this is the Democrat Party's fault,

(01:58):
and that's why I said We're ending Joe Biden war
on beautiful, clean coal once and for all. The President
also talked about these important energy workers and coal miners,
saying it's time for us to treat them like the
American patriots that they are. They have been demonized by
the left, and he said not in my administration.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
The energy workers and the coal miners in the area
that I'm standing on, and there's a lot of weight
on this platform. So I don't know what's going to happen.
I hope it's structurally designed for you guys. I don't know,
but we have just really well deserving, great American patriots,
and it's such an honor to be here and making

(02:41):
such a big move, such a bold move and energy
because you know, for years people were just bemoan.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
This industry and.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Decimate the industry for absolutely no reason. Because with modern
technology and all of the other things that.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
We do, it's one of the great great forms of energy.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
That's why other countries, leading countries are using it, some exclusively.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Some exclusively, also reminding that the Green New Deal is
over and that there's other countries are using this exclusively
to explain that hey, we're not going to have all
these initiatives around a Green New Deal. We're not going
to push everything into all this alternative energy. We must
have energy independance. It is part of our national security

(03:28):
and that's vitally important. The President also talking about the
policy differences here and explain that Biden's energy policy was
really one simple thing, put Americans last, make you pay
way more than you should for energy, and hurt the
American family, And he says that stops today.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
The Democrats Green new scam killed jobs and sent prices
soaring here in America. But meanwhile, China opened two coal
plants every single week, and other countries likewise went very
strongly back into coal. Some of them never got off.
Those are the ones that didn't have the problems. The
Biden energy policy was to put America last.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
We want to be least. We got to be lest,
not a good policy.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Under my administration, we're putting America first.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
It's very simple. America is always going to be first.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
On my first day in office, I terminated the Green
new scam, I declared the National Energy Emergency and withdrew
from the unfair one side and extremely costly to the
United States.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Only Paris climate accurt.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
And that wasn't all that the President had to say
when it comes to our policy. The President also said
we're going to get rid of regulations at this White
House event with coal miners behind him, saying that that's
one of the biggest problems is we've used the government
to decide and choose winners and losers. This is part
of that green new scam, as he mentioned, where you

(04:54):
have a government that says we will subsidize certain things
that we like and we will destroy us things that
we don't like. That is the Democratic Party and what
they believe in. The President said, also, those days are
over as well.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Now under the executive order that I will sign in
a few moments, we're slashing unnecessary regulations that targeted.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
The beautiful clean Call.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
We will rapidly expedite leases for coal mining on federal lands,
and these two gentlemen are going to do a real
job of it.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
You've already started, and we'll.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Streamline permitting, we will end the government bias against call,
and we're going to unlock the sweeping authorities of Defense
Production Act, the Defense Production Act.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
So this is clearly going to have an instant impact
on the pricing when it comes to what it's going
to cost you this winter, in this summer, whether it's gas,
or whether it's heating your home, whether it is buying
certain goods that use a lot of energy.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
What the President said there was.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
We're slashing these unnecessary regulations and why because we need
to expand rapidly coal mining in federal lands is a yes,
well streamline permitting. Yes, we're going to end the government
bias against coal. Yes, and we're going to unlock all
of this so the American people get a better deal
and also so we are not giving money to our

(06:18):
adversaries or we are at a disadvantage with the rest
of the world. The President saying this is the plan
moving forward. He also said this, We're going to guarantee
that this country for many years to come, has what
it needs to succeed, specifically when it comes to businesses,

(06:38):
because this is what this is all about.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Get a guarantee that we have a strong business for
many years to come, that your coal companies and your
miners don't get all excited about their jobs. And then
should a radical left liberal become president, they end the
business right And somebody's built a plant and spent hundreds

(07:02):
of millions of dollars in building a plant, and the
plant is going to be closed because a Democrat got
in or a liberal got in. They're opposed to call
and Republicans are very much for it, clean call, and
we're we're going to give a guarantee that the business
will not be terminated by the ups and downs of

(07:23):
the world of politics. So should somebody come in to
this very important office and say, oh, well, you spend
hundreds of millions of dollars and you guys have given
up your life because you want to be in call,
and then all of a sudden you don't have a
life anymore because it's what you know the best.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
That's not going to happen.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
We're going to give a guarantee that's not going to happen,
so that if somebody comes in they cannot change it
at a whim. They cannot just to go. They're going
to have to go through hell to close you up,
all right, So that's pretty good. We're going to give
that in the form of a guarantee that we're writing
on right now structurally and from a legal standpoint, so
you Spencer could also be protected.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
The president again putting American workers first. This is a
big guarantee from this president, and it's not just a
promise that he man in the campaign trail, but he's
actually paying off on it right now.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Now.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
All this is happening while we're also dealing with everything
with the tariffs. The President also giving some good news
on tariffs as well. Take a listen to what President
Trump had to say about how much money we're bringing
in already from what he has done.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
And for those of you that want to know the tariffs,
you've been hearing about tariffs with taking in almost two
billion dollars a day in tariffs, two billion a day,
and we're doing very well.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
And we're doing very well.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
And making I call them tailor deals, not off the rack.
These are tailored, highly tailored deals. Right now, Japan is
flying here to make a deal. South Korea is flying.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Here to make a deal, and others are flying here.
I mean, our my only problem is I'm not sure
I have enough.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
We're gonna have to use those those great law firms
I think to help us with that.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
But we're gonna probably do that.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Actually, we're gonna use them, and we're getting them for
the right price because we have to.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
We need a lot of talent.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
We have a lot of two billion a day while
you're getting a better deal for Americans, American workers, American manufacturing.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I mean, this is pretty impressive, he says.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
We're doing all of these deals, and as he said,
right now Japan is flying.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Here to make a deal.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
South Korea is flying here to make a deal, and
others are flying here. They understand this presence not messing around,
and they realize they're going to have to make a
better deal with America so that America is in the
last place anymore and taking it in the chin from
all of these other countries around the world. At the
end of the day, what Donald Trump said is true.
I'm not backing down. I'm gonna fix the problems we

(09:57):
have with our trade deficits, and I'm gonna make sure
that people are investing in the US and American workers
are winning, whether it's the coal miners or those in
the tech industry. It's clear the President is saying American
workers are going to come first in my administration and
this could last for at least three or four more years.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile real quick.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
If you've got a cell phone and your cell phone
is not with Patriot Mobile, then the question I got
to ask you is why why have you not made
the switch? Well, you should make the switch, and the
deal is really easy. You get cutting edge technology. Switching
has never been easier. There's no store visits, no hassles.

(10:39):
You get to keep your same phone number you have
right now. You get to keep your same phone you've
got now, or upgrade to a new one. And they
have a one hundred percent US based team that can
activate you literally in minutes. The other thing that I
love about Patriot Mobile is this they have access to
all three major networks, meaning you get exceptional nationwide coverage.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I use Patriot Mobile and half for years.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
They can even put a second number on a different
network on your phone.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
It's like carrying two phones in one. You can have
a work number and a personal number. It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
They have unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, Internet
on the go devices, and home internet backup as well.
You can get all of this from Patriot Mobile. So
why are you waiting? Make the switch today? And by
the way, when you pay your bill, you know that
about five percent of that bill every month is going

(11:34):
back to support conservative causes.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Causes that stand for our First and or.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children, and they
stand with our veterans, our first responders, our police and firemen,
are EMTs and are wounded warriors.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
So make a difference.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
With every call you make, So right now, go to
Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or call them nine to
seven to two Patriot. You're going to get a free
month of service with a promo code ferguson. So switch
to Patriot Mobile and make a difference with every call
you make Patriot Mobile dot Com slash ferguson or nine

(12:10):
to seven to two Patriot. This it's been described by
the White House as fafo. It's the policy of Donald
Trump when it comes to tariffs and other nations. Well,
you want to know what happens when you screw around
with Donald Trump and the White House. President Trump has
announced the United States will in pose a one hundred
and four percent tariff on Chinese imports, effective at two

(12:31):
oh one a m.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
On April the ninth. This decision follows.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
China imposing a retaliatory tariff of thirty four percent on
US goods, which the Trump administration deemed a quote big mistake.
The escalating trade tensions have led to significant market volatility,
which all the media has been covering. On Tuesday, the
SMP initially surged by four point one percent, but reverse

(12:55):
course to close down one point six percent, placing it
nearly nineteen percent below it's February peak. The Dow Industrial
Average fell three hundred and twenty points after earlier getting
one thousand, four hundred and sixty points. Why did that
happen because of a fake news story. I'll tell you
about that coming up in a moment. Major companies that
are well going after China and cheap labor, they're having problems.

(13:18):
Now Apple, that's another stock that they are expected to
be significantly affected by what's happening here. In fact, Apple
stock has declined more than thirty percent this year, dropping
five percent on the latest tariff news. Then you've got
another issue. China has vowed to quote fight till the
end of the new tariff that is put on their country,

(13:40):
criticizing the US measures as quote blackmail. The Chinese communist
government has indicated it will take necessary countermeasures to protect
its interest quote unquote. Now, the situation clearly remains fluid,
and the President has made it clear he'd love to
sit down with China and get a deal done, but
until they come to the.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Table, this is where we're starting.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
The White House Press Secretary making it very clear the
President is not afraid of China, and he's willing to
do the hard work to get this done.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
You mentioned this seventy countries or so. I'm curious, though,
under what conditions at this point?

Speaker 4 (14:15):
When President Trump talked to President She, how about tariffs.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
Look, I just spoke to the President about this, and
he believes that China wants to make a deal with
the United States. He believes China has to make a
deal with the United States. It was a mistake for
China to retaliate. The President. When America is punched, he
punches back harder. That's why there will be one hundred
and four percent tariff's going into effect on China tonight
at midnight. But the President believes that she and China

(14:41):
want to make a deal. They just don't know how
to get that started. And the President also wanted me
to tell all of you that if China reaches out
to make a deal, he'll be incredibly gracious, but he's
going to do what's best for the American people.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Sure, now you notice the number has jumped from forty
countries that want to work with the US to seventy
countries that want to work with the United st States
of America to get their trade deal done.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
What does that mean for you?

Speaker 1 (15:05):
It means there's going to be seventy different countries that
are no longer going to be taking advantage of the
United States of America. If you want to put it
in simple terms, that is exactly what this means.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
The White House.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Has said they're ready to make deals, and we are
expecting that there are many countries that are coming to say, hey,
you tell us.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
What you want and we will make it happen.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Now, as all of this is happening, the President is
working on a lot of different things. The President also
saying virtually every country wants to negotiate a reciprocal tariff
now to get this taken care of, saying this is
how you do a worldwide change, and this is how
the American President is saying it's going to get done.

(15:50):
In fact, the president's saying this at the White House
with Benjamin Ettia who by his side.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
I will say this, virtually every country wants to negotiate.
If I didn't do what I did over the last
couple of weeks, you wouldn't have anybody want to negotiate.
We would have gone to these countries you want to talk,
and they were well, we don't want to talk. Now
they're coming to us. They're offering things like even BB

(16:16):
and this is unrelated because it's a different kind of
a relationship. But he started off our conversation today that
he's cutting all of the tariffs, he's cutting everything.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
He's going to get down to a free base.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
He's going to do things that, in all fairness.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Other countries, if they said that, would have never even
thought about doing it.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Now they're offering things to us.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
That we would have never even thought of asking them
for because they're experiencing a lot of hurt. And the
hurt is that they've taken advantage of us and we
finally fought back. Tariffs will make this country very rich.
We're rich anyway, but we're rich in a certain way.
We have thirty six trillion dollars in debt. I want

(16:59):
to get rid of it, and we can do it
quickly with proper deals.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
So when countries.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Don't allow us to sell our product, but we allow
them to sell their product, when they charge us massive
amounts of money for the privilege of going into that country,
those days are over.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
So if you want to know what the White House's
messaging is, It's actually very simple. The message is this,
for those who are ready to take a seat at
the negotiating table and recognize that they're no longer going
to be able to mistreat America, then come join us.
For those who want to retaliate after years are ripping
this country off like China, we will not bend and

(17:38):
we will not break, and we are going to stand firm.
Countries across the globe have been ripping America off.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
That's the presence point. And what has it done.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
It's resulted in a national security crisis. The White House
talking about that. Media not when to talk about that.
And President Trump says, look, i am I'm also going
to solve this national security issue by also making Americans wealthy.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Again, you heard him mention there.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
He's like, look, we're very rich country, but in different ways,
we are also incredibly vulnerable. So here's how the President
says this will work to your advantage. Number One, jobs, jobs,
and more jobs. The President says, I'm supercharging the on
shoring of an American manufacturing and that is something that's
really important. Number Two, the March jobs reports show that

(18:28):
the President's economic agenda is already having its intended effect.
The economy added two hundred and twenty eight thousand jobs
in March. The economists predicted one hundred and forty thousand
jobs would be added, So.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
This is a huge explosion of job growth.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
He also says the aggressive onshooring appears to be a
foot on the sectors where you would first expect to
see a major response, all right, and so that's something
that we should all be really excited about. The President
also said that they allowed unfair and hustle trade at
the sacrifice of the American worker, referring to the government.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Refer to the Biden administration.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
From ninety seven to twenty twenty four, the US lost
around five million manufacturing jobs, and some Republicans are also
to blame for this. I want to be clear, five
million manufacturing jobs, and we experienced one of the largest
drops in manufacturing employment in history.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
So go back again.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Ninety seven of twenty twenty four, five million Americans lost
their jobs because of this. This goes back to what
the President said about Liberation Day. He said, it's the
first step to restoring the American workforce and rebuilding the
American economy. President Trump also said, look stand with me.
I got your back. I have your back. I've had

(19:43):
your back for a long time. He said, if it
were up to the financial elites, there would be no
American manufacturing and our nation will continue to slide towards
a bankruptcy and ruin. He's right, if you look at
our national debt, look at what Doe is doing right now,
is a perfect example of this. And the President said, look,
I'm fighting not just for jobs. I'm fighting for good jobs.

(20:06):
I'm fighting for great paying jobs for American workers. I'm
also fighting for affordable prices so that when you go
out and spend your money, you have more money to
buy more things, or to save, or to have a
better life for your family. He also said fair trade
policy is a critical step to making all this possible.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
So it isn't just tariffs.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
It's fighting for good jobs, it's fighting for affordable pricing,
and it is a.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
National security issue.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Now, let's also be clear about the American people being
behind President Trump. The President campaigned on this agenda. He said,
I'm going to help working class Americans check not on
short term stock market fluctuation. So I don't want this
to be a fake influx of security for Americans. He said,
what's destroyed American cities and towns across the country is

(20:55):
the haling out of American manufacturing, saying, these tariffs are
part of a long term vision.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
To restore American wealth.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
So when you bring in good jobs into these cities,
it brings instability. You start having less crime, you have
people that are more involved in their cities, You get
better schools, you get more people that are running for office.
Like all the tide rises all ships. Right, So if
you do this, this is what he's expecting, and this
was part of his promise. The other thing is he

(21:26):
says tariffs work. That's the end of the end of
the day. The takeaway. There was a two thousand and
four study on the effects of President Trump's tariffs in
his first administration, and then they found that they quote
strengthened the US economy. It led to significant restoring in
industries like manufacturing and still production. This is something the

(21:46):
President has already done before and now he's doing it again.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
And that's why it's working.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
As we continue talking about tariffs in this country, joining
me now Center from Tennessee, Marshall Blackburn Center. I got
to say it's very interesting now to see how the
negotiations have already begun.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
The media is not willing to cover this.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
There's more than fifty countries that have lined up, and
we're starting to see leaks from other countries. They're saying, hey,
we're willing to put our tariffs at zero on American
goods coming into our countries Taiwan, for example, Vietnam.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
They seem to be wanting to get a deal done. Now,
is this the.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Domino effect that you're expecting where we're seeing one country
and then the next one in the next one, and
then this is a success path for the White House
and also for every American, especially American workers.

Speaker 6 (22:33):
Yes. Indeed, President Trump had said he was going to
deal with these trade and balances and deal with China
and getting people to the table to negotiate is what
he wanted to do. And as you can see, the
market is back up. You see people coming to the table.

(22:55):
Right now, I'm in the middle of a hearing with
Jamison Greer Trade rep and we know that seventy countries
have already asked to negotiate their teriffs and also their
non terraff barriers, which many times this is what blocks

(23:15):
us from having access to the market in certain countries.
Everyone wants to access to the US market and to
get people to the table to lower these tariffs is
going to help lower inflation. And then look at the
things we've already gotten done. The budget document is passed,

(23:36):
we are working on reconciliation. The price of a gallon
of gas is down under three dollars. I know in
Tennessee it's about to seventy a gallon. You've got the
price of a dozen eggs that have gone down. You
have people that are returning to work, Labor force participation
is up, and a part of this is dealing with

(24:00):
tariffs and trade. We are doing that and we are
getting ready to make the twenty seventeen tax cuts permanent.
I think that's pretty good work for the first hundred
days of a president.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
You heard the secretary but said go on CNBC and
he said something very interesting. I want to play this
for you and get your reaction. He said, these negotiations
are not a result of mass.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Of the markets.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
It's because these countries realize the presence not going to
hit pause.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Market is trading higher today, and we did see what
was welcomed yesterday and that has a bounce from some
of the lows and even a higher close on the NASDAC.
One of our guests, the Secretary earlier mentioned the resumption
of the trade put and not coincidentally, it coincided with

(24:56):
your trip to Florida over the weekend, where reportedly you
were stressing the market needed to hear that negotiations about
these tariffs were in play. Lo and behold, we did
see a bounce. Is that a fair assessment? Do you
think that's what happened?

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Well, it's not.

Speaker 8 (25:12):
A fair assessment of what happened over the weekend. I
went down to see President Trump, as I do many weekends,
and you know, I can tell you it's all President
Trump's decision, and he had a view on after Liberation
Day that we should go into quiet mode and let

(25:33):
our partners think about the kind of the shock and
awe that he presented.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
And over those.

Speaker 8 (25:41):
Following few days from April second, we had the I
think we're up to seventy countries contact the White House
for how to come and negotiate. So, you know, I
would say that the negotiations are the result of the
massive inflow of inbound calls to come and negotiate had
nothing to do with the market.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I love how he's just calling out CNBC. You guys
are trying to make this about the markets. No, this
is about leadership.

Speaker 6 (26:09):
Well, you're right about that, and Ben, there is a concept,
as I always say, you lead people and you manage assets.
Donald Trump knows how to lead an organization, how to
lead people, how to test that vision and getting the
cost of goods and services down is a big portion

(26:32):
of that. And the way you do that is get
people to the table, get them talking with you, and
then move forward with what you're going to do with
the tariffs. Ultimately, there's a great article in the Wall
Street Journal today by Art Laffer and Steven Moore, and
it's talking about Trump's goal of zero tariffs and removing

(26:58):
these obstruction on tariff barriers and knowing that that is
where he wants to go. That whatever tariff we had,
it's going to be reciprocal. But the actions we take
should be enriching and enhancing the jobs of the American people,

(27:18):
increasing our export, increasing our domestic production, and that is
indeed his focus.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Let's move also to something else that is a really
important issue that's been really put on the back burner
I think in the media, and that is the issue
of activist judges who are doing these nationwide injunctions.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I know you guys in the Senator working on reigning these.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Judges in because they actually represent an area of the
country and they're doing these injunctions in an activist way,
which is trying to it's lawfare. It's another way of
lawfair on President Trump's agenda. He was duly elected. He
shouldn't have to deal with this. Unfortunately he's having to.
And thank goodness, we had a very big victory for
the president, especially when it comes to getting rid of

(28:05):
gang members who are in this country and deporting them
as well.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
Yes, indeed, and what you are going to see is
more activity on the congressional side, the House and the
Senate to call this out. There is no constitutional and
there is no statutorial authority for a federal district judge

(28:33):
to enact a nationwide injunction. It does not exist. And
a federal district judge is constrained to the case before
him and also to the district in which he is seeded.
That is his purview, and these judges are completely out

(28:56):
of their jurisdiction.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
So yes.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
We have a bill in the Senate that would address this,
would clarify the constitutional intent for a federal district judge.
We also did a hearing on this last week. This week,
the House is taking up a measure that would address it.
And I have no doubt that the Supreme Court is

(29:19):
going to have to appin on this.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
You look at this and at these fifty injunctions have
been filed against President Trump. It's the agenda in its
attack on the American people. Is this a real constitutional crisis?

Speaker 2 (29:32):
In your opinion?

Speaker 6 (29:35):
This is not a constitutional crisis. This is something that
we are going to be able to address. We have
to realize that there were fifteen injunctions placed against President
Trump in the month of February alone, and Joe Biden's
entire four years there were fourteen that were placed against him.

(29:57):
So we have I think we're going to be able
to work our way through this to deal with this.
The Court will opine on this, but what we do
know is they are completely out of control on this.
The Prump administration got a favorable reading last night opinion

(30:22):
last night dealing with deportation, and we have no doubt
there will be more of.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Those to come you, obviously being the center for Tennessee.
I want to ask you about another big issue and
this is one happening apparently at Vanderbilt University the medical
center there. Last month, it was reported that Vanderbilt Medical
Center was quote hiding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion DEI resources
behind a password protected web pages. And the question is

(30:51):
how do they get away with this, especially when it's
going against what the rules are now and cantendency do
anything or can you do anything to help advocate to
stop we're the best hospitals in the country from being
so woken going against what the rules now state is appropriate.

Speaker 6 (31:08):
And this is something we've requested information on. We are aware.
We heard from the news reports like everyone else did.
We are aware. I do know that the Tennessee General
Assembly has requested information. We have also requested information on
this issue.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Let me ask you another question, and it deals with
some of the storm damage. You were at the TEAMA
this weekend. Tell us what's going on with storm assistance
and what's happening also on the ground from that.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
Yes, Indeed, when we after we finished voting at three
o'clock Saturday morning, I was on a plane and by
eight point thirty, I was at SATIMA headquarters in Nashville.
I was able to meet with FEMA because of the
floods that took place in Upper East Tennessee. The FEMA

(31:59):
rep already there at the Teama headquarters and we know
that FEMA is getting resources into these communities. Yesterday they
were able to start some of the damage assessments on
this The flooding is what we are dealing with now,

(32:19):
and we have teams that are out even today doing
these damage assessments. We did get the emergency declaration on
Wednesday night from President Trump as the storm was hitting
the state, and then we will get these disaster relief
declarations done this week. McNairy County was particularly a hard hit.

(32:46):
There are five deaths that are there. There are ten
in the state, and we grieve with these families in
these communities the loss of life, the loss of property,
and the damage that has occurred from this storm.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
