Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the Brian Mud Show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the info you need to start your day in
the bomb Beaches and the Treasure Coast.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
What what a week? What a several weeks? What a
year it's been?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I suppose already, and our White House correspondent John Decker
right in the middle of everything, including with the President
and also the press briefing. I lose track of time,
but a couple of days ago, I guess now with Carol.
Caroline Levin got a couple of questions in there, John,
Where are we this morning?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Well? Where we are? Is we are?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
A day before peace talks aimed at ending permanently the
war between the United States and Iran. Those peace hawks
happening Saturday in Islamabad, Pakistan, being led, of course by
Vice President jd. Vance. That's the US delegation, the Iranian delegation,
led by their foreign minister and the speaker of their parliament,

(00:58):
and we'll see what can be done. We know there's
been a lot of rhetoric coming from the Iranian side
just over the course of the past twenty four hours,
coming specifically Brian, from their new Supreme leader, indicating they
have no intention of giving up control of the Strait
of Hormuz.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
So there's a lot to it what you just laid
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
One of the big complicating factors, of course, what's going
on with the assertion by the US and Israel that, hey,
you know, we did not include hes BLA and Lebanon
in the Seasfire deal.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Aron saying that's part of this.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
We know that Prime Minister nenyaho is you know, has
orchestrated his talks with Lebanon. John, here's my analogy, and
you tell me how good of an analogy this is.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
It seems to me that the situation with Lebanon.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
And hes Block is kind of similar to Mexico and
insert your really awful drug cartels here that pretty much
have their run of whatever their territory is in the country.
It's not that the Mexican government wants them, It's that
they don't want to see what it looks like to
take them on, and may not be equipped to handle
what they're in for if they do it. It seems

(02:11):
like Lebanon does not really want the Iran terror proxy
hes BLO operating within their country. But I mean, the
Lebanese military maybe not in a position to do anything
about it.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
What do you say, Well, that's accurate, man, that's a
good way to describe it. And we know that in
addition to those peace talks that I just previewed happening
in Pakistan starting on Saturday, we know that next week
there will be direct peace talks between Israel and Lebanon
right here in Washington, d C. So I think that

(02:41):
that was something that Israel was essentially pressured to do
because of the fact that this is a complicating factor.
It's pretty interesting, I think, Brian, that you have Iran
dictating what should happen in another sovereign country as it
relates to ending this war with the United States. But
that's how important this proxy is to Iran in terms

(03:05):
of getting control and winning superiority as it relates to
control in the region of the world, which has been
the focus for Ron for so long.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It seems interesting.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
So we're set for you know, these talks this weekend.
Iran's made it pretty clear that there isn't a here
to there as long as Israel is attacking hes BLA.
So until that situation has resolved, is there any expectation
that anything can be accomplished here?

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Well, you know, look, I think that Israel took a step,
you know, saying that they will have direct talks with Lebanon.
And you know, maybe Israel, I don't know, but maybe
Israel needs to you know, a few more days to
meet their goals as it relates to making certain that
Hesbelah does not posed the type of national security threat

(03:56):
to Israel. But you know, keep in mind, Israel has
been going after has below since this overall war began
back in February, so you know, you'd think that they
would be near their goals at this point, but we'll
have to wait and see. I think that the next
week is very important in terms of figuring out whether
or not the US will get what it wants in

(04:18):
the short term, which is essentially free passage for any
cargo ships, oil tankers to pass through the straight up
form moves. And then the long term goal, of course,
Brian and this was a goal set out by the
President at the beginning of this conflict, and that is
making certain that Iran does not pose a threat through
its nuclear weapons to that region into the rest of

(04:39):
the world. And that means securing all of that Rano
uranium that Iran has in its possession.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
And I guess the last half full approach should be that. Okay,
so we've had the ceasefire basically hold for two days.
The longer you tend to get into these things, historically,
the better the likelihood that you can make them stick.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
So there's that, right.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
No, I mean, that's a really important aspect of things
that two weeks these fire that was pressured upon Iran,
not only by Pakistan but also by China. China sees
of value in having peace in that part of the world.
After all, they derived so much of their energy needs
from the Strait of Formus, so they have, you know,

(05:21):
a say in this, and they're impacted by all of
this conflict that we've seen take place over the course
of the past forty days.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Well, John, I hope there is a really nice glass
or bottle of wine waiting for you at the end
of this evening.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
It is.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, I agree. Yeah, it's been quite a week, that's
for sure. But you know, look, that's what's to be
expected sometimes with President Trump. You know, some days I
must tell you, Brian, I think when I get to
the White House it's going to be quiet. I could
use one of these quiet data and it ends up
being anything but quiet, and this was one of those weeks.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Our White House correspondent, John Decker, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Have a great weekend you too, Brian, thanks so much,
by bye.

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
