Speaker 1 (00:04):
The news you need to start your day, and the
bomb beaches at the Treasure Coast.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
This is the Brian mud Show. Sure enough is.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
As we invite you to join the conversation. We would
love for you to be part of the conversation. It's
very easy for you to do this. You just reach
out to Joel and say, hey, Joel, talk to me
now you can't.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Here's my cellphone.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, you can do it that way or one of
the ways you can do it. You may go to
w j NO, Viro Patriot, or the Brian Mudshow podcast
inside the iHeart Radio app. And somebody asked me earlier
this week, I couldn't figure it out, so we do.
iHeartRadio app is free. So you download that to your
mobile device. Then you open it and whatever you listen to.
(00:56):
You if you listen to w j NO, go there
and hit it. If you listen to zero, you can
do that. You listen to the podcast, you can go
to my pot any one of those.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
We get them all.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
And I've been asking this here, as the Questions says,
we have had a number of good takes that have
rolled in, so let's go through and some interesting things too.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Roll through a few of the talkbacks.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
That have come in as we talk about bomb bomb
bomb bomb bomb Iron. How's that good, Joel, I believe
it goes bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran. Okay, And
so you can still decide which version you prefer.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Meanwhile, Hey, I think you guys are have a step
behind Trump. I think Trump is going to sandbag like
Iran usually does, just wants to waste time while they're
negotiating until after the midterms. Then after the midterms, all
hell's going to cut loose over there and they're going
(01:51):
to destroy them.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I mean, it's an interesting take. I tend to disagree.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I think that if there's any kind of conversation about
Iran around the midterms, what already is bleak looks historic.
I don't think that, you know, we can stay in
the current posture indefinitely, by the way I think that's
being played against us by Iron. I think these tall
tactics by them in your reference and definitely part of
their thought process because they know the elections are looming
(02:18):
and they can see the same pole as we can.
This has not played well for President Trump today because,
like the bottom line is, while historically this is a
very significant thing, that's going to make the world safer.
In the here now, when affordability was alright the number
one issue. Gas prices are over four bucks and that's
what people care about. And if this kind of a
stealemate situation is still going on, you're going to have
elevated gas prices and you know, very different. So I
(02:43):
really don't see the strategy by the Trump administration here. Hey,
let's just kind of hang out and do what we're
doing until we get past the midterms. Then we'll just
you know, wipe all off the face of the earth.
I doubt that is the operating thought process here.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Everyone all the countries in the area real that the
Iranians can now close that straight and it's going to
be an undependable waterway. They're going to start building pipelines
like crazy. Once pipelines are built, and it'll be going
in multiple directions to the Red Sea, to the Two
(03:19):
through Israel.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I think it's a really strong take. I think that
is a super strong take. I've been thinking about this too,
Like you take a look at how much influence Iran
has had over twenty percent of the world's energy supply,
and I think a lot of people are suddenly like,
you know, maybe we shouldn't be relying on that straight
for a fifth of all the world's energy when Iran is,
(03:42):
you know, the gatekeeper of it. So I absolutely agree
with you that, aside from the immediacy of the situation,
because all of those contingencies aren't in place. I do
bet you see massive contingencies, combination of pipelines, whatever. I'll
try to figure out new shipping, rude slanes, what have you.
(04:04):
That will be part of the broader conversation going forward.
So I think you're on something there. Here's another one
for you.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
This is Joel and West Palm Beach. Fixing Ferrari's was
just about the straight up horror moves. Had a quick
question like, why didn't we take out whoever's closing the
straight in the first place? It seems kind of counterintuitive
what's being done. So if they're closing it, why don't
we just blow them up anyway and reopen the straight
(04:32):
and just we control it now?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Thanks guys, Yeah, fixing Ferrari's prey solid. You know, Porsche
is my choice, but Ferrari is a very nice, very
nice choice. So a couple things about that, you know,
if you talk about, well, why don't we just take
out the people that are in fault of the straight
Some of it that's complicated. I think the bigger thing
is in order to do that, we would have to
have boots on the ground on Crug Island.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
And I think there was.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Some thought process about that, some kind of station round it,
maybe some surprise that it didn't happen, but I think
that's probably what you would ultimately need to see in order,
whether you're talking about the Revolutionary Guard or you're talking
about proxies like the Houthis, I think you would have
those ongoing issues unless you literally had American boots on
the ground kind of manning the store there.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
And obviously that's not.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Where the Trump administration wanted to go at least at
this juncture. But good stuff, and I wish you well
with your Ferraris
