Speaker 1 (00:03):
Faith, freedom, Florida. This is the Brian mud Show.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Okay, We've got a few things that are going on.
Huh and interesting first day of the ceasefire deal, massive
misinformation versus reality through the Strait and Joel, how are
you feeling today?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Not as good as I was this time? This time yesterday?
You're not been like a why I'm curious?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Well, because I'm I'm looking at the oil price is
going on. I was happy to see the oil drop.
I was happy to see the stock market skyrocket like
it did, thirteen hundred points for the Dow.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, so what was your expectation yesterday? This is probably
a good place to start if you are not as
comforted or in as good of a place as you
are this time yesterday, What was your expectation for yesterday?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I guess I just expected things to continue on a
positive note, at least for the markets.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay, So the markets and whatever you see there at
any given time is kind of your barometer.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Well when we're going through this, because it also because
it also gives me trepidation about what's what is happening
in Iran. If we're seeing the oil prices go up,
and then we're hearing all these reports about the strait
being closed and all of that, and people don't know
what to believe.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yes, I think that's accurate. Don't know what to believe.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
And I do think there's probably the case where for
a lot of people yesterday just expected, oh, things are
going to be normal again, just like whatever, you know,
the normality would be where I never even know the
straight orfor Moose existed previously, or something like at least hoped.
So it's interesting because the reality is somewhere in between

(02:00):
the expectation. I think then maybe you're articulating and what
would be a disappointment today If you take a look historically,
if a cease fire is going to fall apart, if
it's not going to turn into something more substantive, when
does that typically happen?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The answer is right away.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Okay, not always, but mostly in cease fire deals that
becomes something more. The first day is the single most
important day historically, because if you can't get through that
first one, then that's so if you've demonstrated that by
and large, we are not going to fight war against

(02:46):
each other here four day typically you begin to see
tensions that come down to touch you be able you
can begin to move forward on some aspects of common
ground that type of thing. So, actually and where we
are today is very constructive in terms of the big
picture because overwhelmingly the ceasefire did hold. However, there are

(03:13):
a couple massive caveats associated with that.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
The first happens to be.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
What's going on with hes BLA and what's going on
with Lebanon and how Aron feels about that, and the
other absolutely has to do with whatever's true in the
strait of horror moves.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
So what I'm going to do is walk you through
this because.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Your news media over the past day has put essentially
the Iranian state media on equal footing from a credibility
and reporting standpoint as the Trump administration.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
That is how TDS riddled.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Your news media at large has become so first epic
theory results. You had a news held yesterday by War
Secretary Pete Hegseth and Raisin kin box Is Kevin Uratsky,
the recap.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Secretary heg Seth called epic fury in.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Historic and overwhelming victory on the battlefield.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Chairman Kain said the mission's objectives have been.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Met, destroy Iran's ballistic missile and drawing capabilities, destroy the
Iranian navy and destroy their defense industrial base.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Thereby, he said, making our country safer.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
The United States has devastated the regime's ability to harm
Americans and our interests for years to come.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Heg Seth said, Iran proved it was incapable of defending itself,
and while the ceasefire is in place, the troops remain
ready to.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Ensure Iran upholds every reasonable term.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Next important thing in this ultimately filters down to the
Strait of Hormu situation as well. What has our military
done over the past day. They haven't moved nothing. That's right, right,
They've just done nothing. We're in an offensive posture. We
remain in an offensive posture that has paused.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
That is key when.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
It comes to the Strait, because what that means is
the US military is not ensuring safe patch has passage
through the Strait enter into the conversation.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Then NATO box is Shillian Turner.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Diplomacy between the US and Iran appears to be holding
under the fragile ceasefire, but diplomacy between the US and
its closest allies in Europe seems to be on the fritz,
particularly with France, Spain, and the UK. NATO Secretary General
Mark Ruta is in Washington to dissuade the President from
pulling out of the alliance. This after some member countries

(05:51):
declined to support the US during Operation Epic Fury. But
the President says he's not only mad about the last
few weeks. It goes back further with if you want
another truth, Greenland, We want Greenland.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
They don't want to give it to us.

Speaker 7 (06:05):
European leaders are pushing back, consisting they have not renegged
on their security commitments.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
You can see the look on Joel's face. It says
it all. It's like just o a left field. We're
dealing with the home This with her on Greenland not helpful, right,
You might as well bring up Canada.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Ah, not helpful. Okay, there's a lot here.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
The first thing is NATO is absolutely useless, absolutely useless,
and have a lot of our allies that have even
denied use of airspace. We're in countries where we keep
troops positioned to keep them safe during Operation Epic Fury.
We have at times been denied access to airspace to

(06:56):
conduct military operations. That's how you useless. These people actually are.
I am so done with NATO. I'm so done with
the UN ruta. I would you know, just I would
kick the ruta Down't that I'd get like Rota ruter
on ruta.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I think it's why just go away, get out of Manhattan.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
See you not going to miss you, NATO, These people
who is far more reliant on the Straight of Horror
Moose and energy getting through there and everything else us
or are NATO.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Allies so to speak? Or allies? Where are they?

Speaker 2 (07:36):
And these feckless people put out a note yesterday saying
that they would aid in safe.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Travel through the Straight of Horn Moose. Where is it?
Where are they?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Here's the problem we got right now in real time
with these straight it is not closed.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
That is a lie.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Yes, Iranian state media, byes now, I was able to
figure this out by going to the sources of everything,
not by reading what Iran state media said and reporting
it back to you, which is about the extent of
what all has.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Happened in news. Oh so painful.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
If you take a look at what actually happened yesterday,
you had seven cargo ships that got through, not one
oil tanker. By the way, I mean, if we're if
we're doing multiples of where we had been. That could
be considered a win because we've been getting two to
three you threw there previously. So look, traffic more than
doubled in the Strait of horn Moose yesterday. A couple things, Joel,

(08:48):
if you are getting seven ships through the strait that
are not being blown out of the water, is the
Strait of horror Moos open or closed?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I mean it's clearly not closed. Clearly not closed.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Yeah, yeah, all right, that'd be a good place for
But the first thing is you don't even have the
news VIDIA that is out there taking a look in
tracking what's actually going through the strade. They're just reporting
around the media Saint it's called why is traffic night
going through the strade? Well, first, let's kind of walk

(09:20):
through this next footprint here one more on the NATO
piece and how this has all kind of come together,
fought Jarret Halpern.

Speaker 8 (09:27):
With this report, President Trump says he's considering withdrawing the
United States from NATO, a post World War II treaty
alliance established in nineteen forty nine.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
They were tested and they failed.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt sharing those words shortly
before President Trump met with NATO's Secretary General Wednesday afternoon.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
It's quite sad that NATO turned their backs on the
American people over the course of the last six weeks
when it's the American people who have been defunding their defense.

Speaker 8 (09:54):
The Well Street Journal was first to report President Trump
is considering punishing some NATO members by moving true side
of their country. US law requires a vote from Congress
to fully withdraw from NATO. Okay, yes, yes, yes, and yes.
As we were talking about, so a couple things on that.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
The first is, okay, so as we take a look
at all of our foreign allies, they continue to say
things like we're going to help.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
They have done nothing to help. Okay, absolutely nothing.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
So we're in this offensive posture and they could be
there in the straight and ensuring the traffic gets through,
which is more important to them than us, and they don't.
It's a choice in all of this, which is pretty
much all you need to know about any of them. However,
to the facepalming that Joel was doing a moment ago,

(10:41):
when you bring Greenland into the equation, you lose everybody.
And if that really is part of what's animating him,
there's nothing constructive about that. That can't be part of
the conversation right now. And the bigger issue is not
only is that a non starter for our alleged NATO ally,
but it doesn't solve your straight the horror of horror

(11:04):
mood situation. If you had the DENS that came back today.
I know they're Danish people, by the way, but if
you had the Dens, it's like the way it sounds.
If you had the DNS come back and say, yes,
we are going to give you the big piece of ice.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Does that solve the straightform moose problem? That doesn't do
anything for gas prices?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Right It does not solve the bigger issue in the
here and now, which is why. And so then the
next thing that happens in the grand scheme of a
news media that is misleading the American people at large
in this now you the average person cares about, what
what do.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
You care about, Joel? Price of gas? Price of gas?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Resolution here things getting back to a place where you're
more comfortable issues here at home.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
And so now.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
You have the President saying, and this is actually in
part about Denmark, are about Greenland?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Wait what.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
You lose everybody with that? You lose the casual news observers,
you lose the people that are maybe on your side
when it comes to NATO is not helpful. You're certainly
not getting anywhere of them. So the President, I think,
is both right from a point of his frustration with

(12:22):
NATO and I completely support, as I mentioned, getting out
of that organization and kicking the UN out of Manhattan. However,
he loses all moral high ground the moment he says,
and it's about Greenland.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
They didn't give it to us. Now I'm upset.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
So then, speaking of upset, what is real as the
Strait of hor moves is actually open to traffic but
not really being used a whole lot. Is that Iran
really is frustrated, and I can explain why there is
said what appears to be a legitimate misunderstanding here.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Fox is Mike Toban.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
We got a statement from the Prime Minister's office saying
that Lebanon was not going to be included in the
seasfire agreement. Israel followed that up with intense air strikes
all the way from Beirut to the Baghav Valley and
into Lebanon, all with the goal of driving the rocket
fire out of the north of Israel. In fact, at
one point they hit some one hundred targets in the
span of ten minutes, dozens of people injured, dozens of

(13:27):
people killed. Now that upset the Iranians, who said that
the ceasefire was then being violated. The Iranians were also
upset that had drone entered their airspace and upset that
they don't have the right to enrich uranium as per
what the US said. They followed that up by closing
the straight of horror moves at something Caroline Levit from
the White House podium set is absolutely unacceptable.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So let me cut through the noise here. Here's what's real.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Things came together pretty quickly before the president's dead line
a couple of days ago.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Ryan.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Ordinarily, in seasfire deals, what you have is a dotument
with terms that are agreed to, and so there is
documented detail of what is going to happen with the seasefire.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
That did not occur. Here. Things came together so quickly.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
There was no ceasefire document drafted, nothing formal, and then
signed off on by both parties. Therefore, it is altogether
possible that the Iranian Mullahs believe the seasefire extended to
all of their proxies. Remember, Israel isn't attacking attacking Lebanon
because they're they're upset with my ancestors. They're attacking hes Blah,

(14:43):
which not my ancestors, because my ancestors from Lebanon and Catholic.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
So they.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
They have been going after hes Blah, which is an
Iranian produxy.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
So that's why Iron care so much, is because one
of their terror proxies still under attack.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Now.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
That is, even though it wasn't part of what the
ceasfire agreement, was a sticking point and probably a point
of misunderstanding. And so that then takes us to the
Strait of Hormos. So let's see what the latest is there.
Fox is Jonathan Savage.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
News.

Speaker 9 (15:22):
Agencies in Iran have published a chart that suggests the
crucial waterway, the Strait of Hormuz, may be laced with
sea mines. The maps show a large circle marked danger
zone over the pathway ships usually take through the strait.
Iran has refused to reopen the area to sea traffic,
as the true Steal stipulates. It says Israel's bombardment of

(15:44):
Lebanon constitutes a grave violation. Israel denies its operation targeting
hasibolized part of the deal. President Trump says American forces
will remain in place until Iran fully complies with what
he calls the real ceasefire agreement.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
So I couldn't help.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
It's a crack up at this when I when I
came across it yesterday, I'm like, all I could think
of is the Trump kone of uncertainty, comparing and trast
comparing contrast the Mullah's big circle around the Strait that
may there may be minds, same as Trump's cone of uncertainty.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
There may be a tropical system that ends up somewhere here.
And I think of Kenny Loggins when I hear danger zone.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Well, and so I mean, seriously, they draw a circle
on it. There may be minds here. It's it's all.
It just is hilarious if it weren't so real, And
so then it gets reported, Oh because of this, the
straight is closed.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Here's the reality on the ground.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Why what is it that, in this ceasefire situation would
be the best possible outcome for Iran that the strait
is effectively closed even if it's open. Why because it
puts additional pressure on the US, on Israel, on European allies.
They don't want anything going through that straight. That is

(17:05):
their leverage. The whole leverage that they gave up in
the ceasefire deal was the straight. So if they can
rhetorically through a cone of n certainty kind of situation,
there might be minds there.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Even if it's open.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
They don't have anything going through there because people are gooh,
which is why we need our European ally so to speak,
to get in there and actually prove that there isn't
a problem. But there's actually another way to prove that
there isn't a problem. And this gets back to shipping
companies and liability and everything else. But first award from
Fox's Jennifer Griffin with a nicely balanced report here.

Speaker 10 (17:39):
Just hours after agreeing to a two week ceasefire and
allowing at least four ships to pass through the Strait
of Hormuz, Iran state media reported it would block the
strait as long as Israel continues attacking has a lot
in Lebanon. It also wants a toll one dollar per
barrel passing through the strait. A typical oil tanker carries
two million barrels.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
The White House.

Speaker 10 (18:01):
Says President Trump was told privately the strait is open.
Saint comm says fifty thousand US service members, sixteen warships
and a dozen air squadrons are staying.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Ding ding ding.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
So IRONCI media is saying one thing publicly and telling
the Trump administration something behind the scenes. That's different, no
different than it was when we heard for two weeks
that no negotiations were taking place with the United States,
right while we know for a fact they're taking place.
Why because we were getting to oil tankers per day
through the Strait of Horror moves to show the people

(18:33):
that were negotiating with us were the actual people who
could get things done. And so what you have your
news media doing is lying yet again, just taking ARANCI
media saying the straightest closed when it is not.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
The Strait of Horror Moves has been open. How do
we know it's open?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Joel, this is going to be the most common sense
thing I have ever demonstrated in this otherwise complex conversation.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Because there have been.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
A few seven seven ships got through over the past
twenty four hours. Twenty halfs was closed, no kicks, they
would go boom boats gaboom right right, And if we're
some of the the problem is these shipping companies, by
and large are big companies. Do you think they want
to take the chance that something goes sideways? No, And

(19:17):
they're saying that, I will demonstrate that in my top
three takeaways today. And so that's the bigger problem here
is until there is more clarity that, yeah, you really
are going to be safe going through there. Now, if
you're kind of like the road shipping tanker guy, you
know what I'm doing. If you getting seven through there,
I'm going to identify when one of those ships is
going through and I'm the next one through.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Like an ambulance chaser. Literally, you know where they're going
through that they're no mines. Right.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
If you're like the mind cone of uncertainty drawn over
the straight of horror moves right, well, I know if
there's a mine, that one's going to hit it first.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
So I just
