thirty minutes. This time only thirtyminutes because of Round Rock Express Baseball coming
up at the bottom hour, Solet's just jump right to it. The
Texas Longhorns play the Oklahoma Sooners tonightat Devon Park and Oklahoma City backed against

the wall. Texas had cruised throughits first three games in this College World
Series, but they ran into thatsame old nemesis, everybody's nemesis. Oklahoma's
won three consecutive national championships and theone went away from making it four in
a row. But the Loghorns knowthey are capable. They took two or
three from the Sooners earlier this season. They know they're capable beating Oklahoma if

they can do the things that theyset out to do. Katie Stewart,
the freshman first baseman, would tellyou that instead of the things that they
didn't do, which they should havedone last night. Our game plan was
different than what she was throwing,and so we'd really executing as well as
we would hope. So just kindof reminding ourselves to stay with the game
plan and staying within the zone.And she was throwing a good game,

she was spotting her pitches and wewere chasing, So just kind of bouncing
back off of that, Yeah,trying to bounce back from it and go
from there. Jolie Mitchell is oneof those Loghorn veterans. She transferred in
from Notre Dang, but she's asenior, and she was asked about the
mindset because it would be understanding andvery easy to believe that by now there's

an intimidation factor. After all,Thomas one three in a row, after
all, Oklahoma's in its four straightnational championship rown. After all, Texas
has never won a national championship insoftball and Oklahoma has all this momentum.

Having said all that, Joli Mitchellwill tell you it's not like anybody's feeling
any intimidation or fright or anything likethat. This is the kind of the
case of the devil. You know, they know what they're dealing with.
Oklahoma. This is more about playingthe game the way they're capable of playing
and less about being mentally on edgeor emotionally on edge because of what Oklahoma

does. And Jolie Mitchell kind ofoutlined that in the way that she says
she and her teammates view the Sooners. I mean, we have a lot
of respect for them. We talkedabout that in our postgame meeting. You
just have to respect the opponent.I mean, it's not necessarily that we're
intimidated by them. I think it'sjust that we have to stick within ourselves.
We don't need to worry about anythingelse. It's just the game of
softball. We have to play Texassoftball. One thing that Oklahoma does very

well is to play Oklahoma softball verywell and get you out of your game.
Mike White, the Texas head coach, was talking about the similar things
about them not controlling the game andthat what they're going to have to do

is play the game in their styleright out of the gate, and in
order to have a chance to winthe night, we've got to come out
and control the game a little bitbetter. In the fifth sendings, obviously,
it's a rough stot for our freshman. I'm hoping that she learns from
that, you know, and we'dbe better for in the future. Yeah,
that would be one thing. Andthen on top of all of that,

he was asked about Kensey Hanson.You know, Kenzie is one of
those players really really clever hit her, outstanding hit her, and she had
a deep ball for the home run, was able to reach out and get
it, and you know, it'sit's perfectly okay for an opposing coach to
admire and respect a player like aKensey Hanson. And Mike White is in

that club. Kensey Hanson, shegraduated, yet I think I asked it
to stay at just just kidding,right, But no, she's she's a
bill cospl tough and just she's she'sone of those kids. It's ability to
hit bad pitches, you know,pitches pitches, uh, and that's what
makes it really tough. And soyou know, you think you've got a
kind of an edge there and nixtthing. You know, she'll poke one

off and then hunt from mistake.And I think she fought off a couple
of inside drop balls or inside pitchesand then mistake over the plate home run.
Yeah, and it was as simpleas that. A couple other comments
from Mike White. One of thoseis about his superstar Resatwood. She's the
All Americans, She's the player theyear in the big trumps, She's a

National Player of the Year. Ithasn't been a Reese Atwood dominated Women's College
World Series. Other players that contributed. She's contributed as well, but not
in that dominating fashion. And ofcourse she had the throwing era last night.
And so Mike White was asked aboutthe struggles that his National Player of

the Year has had. You know, this game is it's tough, It's
can be hopefully humbling sometimes when thingshappen, and there's not always a big
fix for those things. That's whyslumps happen. And you get people that
kind of throw from sicken base tofist base and chuck and og ball.
But you know kind of things.I mean, who knows what goes on
in the mind, you know.So, but all we can do is

address it and say, hey,look, just give your best effort.
Look at Mike White pulling out ChuckKnoblock. Remember he's talking about when he
when nab Block was playing for theYankees and could make the throw from second
to first, that yip thing.Steve Sachs went through it. There's been
other players that went through it aswell. That yp deal. You can't
throw back, and some catchers havedifficulty sometimes of throwing back to the Mountain

Baseball, But he believes that Reeseas at Reese Atwood will pull it out
and be ready to go, andshe'll have to. And Mike White said
that they have to bounce back ifthey are not ready for the challenge of
this tonight. The things that sayin it's like I said to them,
it's like how far are you for? It's how you bounce And we got
to come back and bounce back fromwhat diversity right now. Otherways we go
