Craig and Cameron debate ESPN's ranking of the Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks and it features two Texas QBs...just in an order that you might not expect.

SEC Football Media Day, I didwant to update folks on the Major League
Draft. I said I would dothat for both the Astros and the Rangers.

So I'm gonna do that. Letme let me go back to start
with the Astros, because I didthe Rangers, but I left to pick
or two out. I can geteverybody caught up on that. Uh,
this is the Astros track in theMajor League Draft. First of all,
first round pick Walker Yannick, theoutstanding catcher from SAM Houston, not Janik

As. The lady from Fox SportsRadio said, it's Yanick Walker. Yanick
went in the first round. Thenthe next choice the Astros had was in
the second round. I want tomake sure they didn't have a sandwich picking
round between round and one. Inround two, they did not second round.

The Astros did not have a choicein the second round in the draft,
all right, So no second roundpick for the Astros. Then onto
the third round for Houston and theirchoice was Ryan for Couchie from UC San

Diego, A pitcher. A righthanded pitcher, Ryan for Coucie was their
choice in the third round. Inthe fourth round of the draft, the
Astros selected Parker Smith, Rice Universityright handed pitcher, so they picked him.
He was the one hundred and thirtyfirst selection overall. In the fifth

round, Houston selected Cole Hertzler fromLiberty, a right handed junior that was
in round number five. The sixthround saw the Astros take Cayden Powell,
a junior college shortstop from Seminole Statethat's in Oklahoma, one hundred ninety third

pick overall that was in the sixthround of the draft. The seventh round
of the draft, the Astro selectedSouth Alabama left handed pitcher Joseph Sullivan.
And a lot of teams really liketo be able to see if can get

a value pick of a right handor left a pitcher. In the later
rounds of the draft, they wentwith another pitcher, did the Astros.
In the eighth round, Dylan Howardfrom Ratford, a right handed draft eligible
sophomore and the draft right now mayjust completed. The ninth round, they
took another pitcher, Illinois Chicago righthanded Ryan Smith. In the ninth round

with the two hundred and eighty thirdoverall pick, So that's where that's where
they are that they in the draftshas just moved into the tenth round.
The Texas Rangers have a selected inthe draft going back to last night,
Malcolm Moore, the Stanford catcher inthe first round of the draft. In

the second round, the Rangers letmake sure they didn't have a compensatory pick.
Okay. Second round of the draft, the Rangers took Dylan Dryling,
the Tennessee outfielder. In round numberthree. The Rangers then selected Casey Cook,

North Carolina outfielder. Fourth round ofthe draft, Texas went with David
Hageman, West Virginia right handed pitcher. In the fifth round, the Rangers
selected Devon Fitzgerald High School shortstop fromFlorida the State of Florida Stoneman High School

in Florida. In the sixth round, Texas took Garrett Horn, Liberty University
pitcher. Seventh round of the draft, Texas took Raife Perrick from Lehigh and
Perrick is a switch hitting third basemanthat was in the seventh round of the

draft. In the eighth round ofthe draft, Texas went with Anthony Sussac
Arizona pitcher, a right hander thatwas in the eighth round, and in
the just completed ninth round, Texasselec to New Mexico State outfielder Keith Jones,
left handed hitting outfielder. They arenow in the tenth round again.

The only two Texas players selected sofar in the draft. In the second
round Jared Thomas to Colorado, andthen in the fifth round it was LeBaron
Johnson Junior, selected also by Colorado. Okay, there were a couple of
things that I wanted to get to. There's NFL ratings quarterback right now.

These ratings are different. This isn'tjust done by people who rate personnel.
This was a combined algorithmic formula whereit was a combined effort of team general
managers, scouts, and coaches.And that's the amalgam as they selected.

So the top ten quarterbacks, I'mgonna let you try to get You're pretty
good at this a lot of times, Camera Parker. So I'll let you
try to see how many. Now. Number one number one quarterback in the
NFL is Dak Pritt. Now PatrickMahomes. It is Patrick Mahomes. Number
two, Josh Allen No, AaronRodgers. Who am I Joe Burrow?

Joe Burrow? Interesting? Okay,Joe Burrow. Last year he ranked number
two, he's number two again.Number three, it wasn't Allen or Rodgers.

Tell me Lamar Jackson. Oh that'sright, yeah, Lamar, I
should have gotten that. Okay,all right? Number five Rogers uh No
Herbert uh uhh NFC quarterback though partynope, Dak Jyllen Hurts nope. M
her Cousins nope. Golf nope.I think I've named every quarterback in the

NFC. Missed one. I've missedone? Is it? It's pretty uh?
It's pretty big? Huh. JordanLove uh nope? He has won
a Super Bowl? Who am Imissing? Hard? I gotta tell me
this one? He played his highschool football in this city. Oh Stafford,
yes, at number five. YEP. Last year he ranked tenth.

His highest ranking is third. Andhere's a high ranking official with an NFL
team, said quote. He elevatesthe play of those around him. Phu
Ku Naku is a good player,but he's not the same guy without Stafford.
He helps those guys reach their potential. His elite status is as accentuated

by the most basic terms, winsand losses. Twenty twenty one, Stafford
comes to Los Angeles, Rams gotwelve and five, win the Super Bowl.
Twenty twenty two, Stafford misses ninegames due to injury. Rams missed
the playoffs. Twenty twenty three,Stafford misses two games. Rams back in
the playoffs despite what was supposed tobe a mini rebuild. Is what they
say, So you're you're a Ramsfan, would you say Stafford is a

top five quarterback? Well, itwould just I would say it would depend
on who who am I asked topick him over? Well, I mean
the quarterbacks that he's above, concludeDak which, okay, I can that's
fine, hurts whatever. But Herbert, I mean, I think Justin Herbert

is a little bit more talented thanMatthew Stafford justin Herbert's number six. Herbert's
critics are quick to point out hispedestrian thirty and thirty two career record as
a starter, but most agree thatthe way that the Chargers struggles don't fall
squarely on Herbert, an otherworldly talentwho helped that record more than he heard
it. He says he will havea big, strong, fast power for

m This is the criticism I've heardof him the most. We'll stare down
some targets and try to make somehero type plays. At times, holds
the ball too long and throws intowindows that are too tight. Buddy,
he has everything you want touch,velosophy, size, athletic ability give.
Give him Sean McVay and the weaponsthat Sean mcvabe has provided Matthew Stafford and
just a good team and good coachingstaff, and I think Herbert would do

now. I will say this.Matthew Stafford did great things with far worst

he's still elate. Uh, he'sprobably fringe top ten at this point,
but he still has the rare abilityto throw the football set up AFC exact.

That hasn't gone away. I thinkhe's got a major opportunity to lift
the Jets and show what he canstill do. Number nine Dakh Nope,
Hurts Nope, but it is NFCparty Nope. Wow, Jordan Love Nope.
Kirk Cousins nope. Daniel Jones Nope. Yeah, you're creechy. I

reamed him earlier, named him earlier. Oh Goff, Jared Goff. Remember
nine, number nine and number ten, top ten quarterback Dak Prescott. It
is Dak is number ten, Andhere the people applauding because hearing Dak Prescott
was named number ten. I didn'tsee you applaying. Okay. He appeared

on the majority of ballots sixty threepercent for the second straight year, a
slight improvement from the year before.But he's the only quarterback in the top
ten without a single top six vote. Oh so molks think of him in
the seven to ten range. Yeah, I think that's a that's that's a
good spot for him. I thinkif you if you rate the quarterbacks on

tiers, obviously, I think youhave Patrick Mahomes, he might be in
his own tier. And I thinkthere's also a second tier of quarterbacks who
are super talented like Herbert, likeJoe Burrow, who who else went I'm
missing out? And then there's there'sa there's a third tier there of quarterbacks.
So you probably want to see them. You know they're talented, but
you want to get that Lamar Jacksonyet in that second tier at list of

quarterbacks who you want to see themtrying to take that next step in the
playoffs. I think CJ. Stroudis a guy who in this next season
will be that quarterback who, Okay, we know you're talented. He did
a great job with Houston last year. Let's see you get that first playoff
win. Dak Prescott I think isfirmly in that camp. We're okay,
we've seen what you can do inthe regular season. You can put up

the numbers, you can lead Dallasto victories. But can you do it
in January? Can you do itin February. That's been the biggest question
surrounding Dak Prescott and also surrounding theDallas Cowboys for the last five ten years.
So that ranking is fine seven toten, but we'll see because next
season, Craig he might be rankedtenth, but he might not be blaying
