to noon, which we did today our long worn Monday
presentation where Mike Hardbull Harge and Will Matthews, the lifetime

football coach Steve Sarkeasian's weekly news conference live. We did that.
Then we make our way back over here and we
bring you this program from two to five. And during
the course of that on a long worn Monday, we
will occasionally give out some football tickets and we're gonna

do that today. We're gonna give away a pair of
tickets to the season opener. So that's part of what
Long Worn Monday is all about. So we're glad to

The D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas as
in the football team he loves but has pledged not

to watch unless they reach the NFC Championship game. But now,
Cameron D. Parker, now that they have CD Lamb under contract,
maybe they got a better shot to get to the
NFC Championship games. That news came down today. How about that?

Huh See, it's a great Longhorn Monday with a little
some positive news on the Dallas Cowboys front Ceedee Lamb's
second highest paid non quarterback in the NFL. Well, so
that combined with just six days Kwan Cosby days away
from kickoff exciting?

Yeah five days or five days? Five days? Okay, Yeah,
we're five days away from kickoff now, so yeah, five
days away and yes, C D. Lamb one hundred million
dollars guaranteed on a one hundred and thirty six million
dollar four year extension. That's pretty good. He got he

got paid. Now we'll see how Did you draft him
in your Fantasy football league draft over the weekend?

No, actually I had the option. I had the seventh pick,
and somehow both Lamb and Breese Hall were available to
me at seven. I won to breeze Hall because uh
he was number two.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I think he was the second overall pick and hard
drive some people had taken him first. My son had
the first pick for the second straight year. How that happened?
That's with a random thing. But took Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Okay, we had uh Pat Mahomes went first and I
was like, hm, okay, and he's like, that was my
first year playing dance footballs Okay, that makes a lot
of sense. Yeah, well the league I'm in is really
quarterback quarterback. Yeah, we have too, and uh so I
wound up taking.

Who did I take? Anyway, it'll be it'll come to me,
It'll it'll be come to me. I wasn't real pleased
with my draft. I had the ninth pick overall.

Did you get a grade back because ESPN will email
you a grade? Yeah, I gotta see, I gotta see
on it. Oh it's Lamar Jackson. I took Lamar Jackson.

And then you know, on the Snake draft that came
back around. Uh, I think I got a pretty good
wide receiver out of it. I can't remember anyway anyway
that that's that that's another sign that that football seams finally.
Robby got fantasy football drafts going on and all that stuff.
But here are the things we have to talk about
on the program today. Log Worn's head coach Steve Sarcasian

had his weekly news confer It's this season opening news conference.
We brought it to you live in its entirety from
starting to finish this morning on the Zone, and we'll
do that every Monday as part of our Longhorns Monday presentation.
But we're gonna let you hear excerpts from that news
conference in all three hours of the program today, so

few minutes, and then also in the three o'clock hour,
and also in the four o'clock hour. We have inconceivable
on a Monday. It's a couple of food items that
my wife sent my way. She was she was really
a foodie this week and she did a great job.
She'd a lot of cooking this weekend, and it was
it was fabulous, fabulous. It's like that line from the

movie Arthur when he's talking about the woman that he
that he winds up not marrying Susan because she can
do some fabulous things with a chicken. Yeah, Lindy can
do that as well, except she is my wife. So anyway,
she did, she did cook it on that but she
also sent me a couple of food items. We have
that and uh, and we've got college football to discuss.

How are you feeling for folks out there who are
fans of the Florida State Seminoles today? Wow?

Uh?
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Or New Mexico fans New Mexico fans who, by the way,
New Mexico fans Uh. Hey, New Mexico was a home
underdog to an FCS opponent, and it wound up happening. Uh,
but not before they had what a seventeen point.

On the fourth quarter?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah, one points fourth quarter? Yeah, and they wound up
wound up losing that game. Nevadi felt bad for Jeff
Choate and and uh also uh for Savion Red. Great
game Christopher Ross, Christopher Rawford at Keaton Crawford. I mean,
they all played pretty well and they had every opportunity
to knock off SMU and SMU took the lead and

won the game. Late in the game, they trailed the
entire game that they wanted And how about a pad
on the bat for Delaware State?

Yeah, covered baby.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
They only lost by twenty one. The original line we
were talking about this last week was twenty eight minus
twenty eight to Hawaii. Then when the Hornets had trouble
getting out to the islands when they missed their flight,
the line immediately jumped from twenty eight points to thirty
eight and they only lost by twenty one.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
So did it climb the forty forty two in somebody?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I think it did?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
It did? That's insane? Yeah, Hawaii whinning my forty points?
Come on?

Yeah? So anyway, those were those were the ft sip
and watched that game. I did not. I did not.
I did get some red. I wanted to get one
last week in a decent rest before they started, and
I did it and it worked out pretty well. So yeah,
