Speaker 1 (00:11):
Thus begins a rather busy Tuesday, and we're glad of
that and glad to have you with us this afternoon
here on a Tuesday on Sports Radio AM thirteen hundred
of the Zone and where you can always listen to
us for free on the iHeartRadio app. My name is
Craig Wait. Thanks very much for joining us. We bring
you the program from UFCU Dish falk Field. There is
(00:32):
baseball this afternoon, and the keyword there is this afternoon.
It'll start at five o'clock as the Longhorns. We'll host
the Lamar Cardinals who can hear it right here on
thirteen hunder the Zone, and we'll begin our coverage at
four forty five of the pregame.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Keith Morland will join me.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
On the call and we'll have it for you the
pre game at four forty five in the first pitch
at five o'clock. Now, for those of you who go, wait,
what do you mean Morland will join you on the call.
Don't you have a basketball game to call it? Yes,
the answer is yes, and yes I will be calling that.
You know, we're very fortunate when you have a stable
(01:13):
of talented broadcasters and you know, multi talented guys, you're
multi faceted who could do different things. It gives you
some flexibility in leeway to be able to interchange, shall
I say, almost seamlessly. And that's what we have today
(01:36):
because I'll start off the baseball broadcast with Keep Morland here,
and sometime around the fifth or sixth inning, depends on
the time, Roger Wallace will make his way over here.
Because Roger will after he finishes anchoring his evening sports
cast for k x a N will come over here
(01:56):
and it's like me calling him out of the bullpen
to it out. Roger will come in at that point,
and then I will head over to Moody Center to
work with Eddie Orrin to call the long worn men's
basketball game tonight against LSU. So that's how that works.
But like we said, we got plenty of talented people. Obviously,
Cameron Parker fills in, and then there's Jay Carmon, our
(02:19):
producer back in the studio, who called two innings of
salt all over the weekend and really should have been
able to call sixteen innings but for the double rain
out on Saturday. So your throat is still in good shape, right, Jake,
Because you only you only worked two innings, one in
Game one on Friday and the second inning in Game
(02:40):
two on Friday.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Correct, Yeah, And to be honest, Craig, I treated Friday
like my bullpen, right, so I was ready to go
for Saturday. Unfortunately it didn't come out that way. So
you know, it's one of those times where you just
you're just happy to have the extra guy ready to
go in the in the background, I suppose.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, Okay, all right, yeah, that's that's that's the way
it works.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
It was the one that was the one upside the
voice was the voice was fine for the wedding on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay, all right, well that's that's good then.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Uh So that and and when you say the voice
was fine for the wedding on Sunday, I mean did
you have to did you have speaking parts in the wedding?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
On side?
Speaker 1 (03:17):
I mean you weren't getting married obviously for folks who
were wondering, you were not getting married, but you were
at a wedding. You were we were in the wedding.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Was that the deal? Were you serving in the wedding? No?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
No, I wasn't in the wedding. I mean we were
my uh my girlfriend is very close with the bride,
So we were, you know, seated at the table with
the wedding party, so to speak. But no no speaking parts, no,
uh no, no objections luckily, and uh you know it's
one of those things where had it been in the
reverse order, I would have had to really mind my
voice use at the wedding.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, well that's a good point.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
And and and since the bride was it is a
close friend of your girlfriend of what now four years?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah, and Alison had been together.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Okay, I mean, was there any point during the ceremony
while you guys were watching what was going on that
she was just like nudging you, giving you like little
gentle elbow taps in the red like, eh, eh, you
take a notes, You take a notes, you know, you
observing here, what's going on here? Any any of that happening.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
It's like, hey, how about that? Hey what do you
think of this?
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
You think about that, absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
And I have to be careful, Craig sometimes when I
when I acknowledge it, and when I kind of just
pretend to be reaching for a tissue.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Oh okay, Hey, you're comfortable enough in your own flesh
where you could admit to having to reach for a
tissue at a wedding. I like that it was emotional. Yeah, okay,
all right, Yeah that's that's good. Like I said, I
I soolute you for having that kind of comfort in
(04:53):
your own skin that you can do that. You know,
because you know, there's a lot of guys who would
take some grief and they might feel very self conscious
about tearing up at somebody else's wedding and you know,
and the people around them, so would be You apparently
have no such problem with that. You're you're okay with
(05:14):
if you if you need to puddle up a little bit,
You're okay.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Well look, look I'm not gonna be a complete mess,
but uh, you know, everybody, everybody needs everybody needs a
thirty second time out.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
You can't take him with you.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's true. It's uh uh well that that's good.
So how many people were at this wedding?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Oh, they were probably close to two hundred people there.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
It was big wow.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah yeah, uh you know that that's good.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Then they had lots of friends.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Then, yeah, yeah, lots of friends.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
And it was fun because they obviously went to uh
went to college with Alison and I I saw some
people there that I wasn't expecting to and that that
was always a fun kind of reunion there.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, that's good, that's good. What part of Houston.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
They got married in Paarland at a vineyard?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Okay, yeah, those are becoming very popular. When they got married,
was it? Was it a minister? Was at one of
those wedding officiants, you know, one of those people it's
licensed to perform weddings.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, no, it was actually it was actually a rabbi.
I don't know if it was their rabbi. It was
a Jewish wedding, Okay, and I'm not sure exactly. Yeah,
I'm not sure if it was her rabbi or his.
But but but he did a good job with it.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
So it refreshed my memory on the Jewish weddings because
I was in one once. I was a groomsman there
for Chuck Cooperstein's well it's his first wedding. He's on
his second marriage now, but this was this was the
first one back in the eighties, and they did the
whole thing where at the ceremony the groom was in
(06:53):
the chair and we all had to hoist him up
in the air during the I think I don't know
if it was to the tune of how the Guila,
but we had to all hoist him in the chair
and do all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Did they do that at the wedding you were at.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Yeah, it probably was to hab an Aguila.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
It's called bohora.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
It's a it's a very traditional festive dance, and there's
different levels to it, kind of depending on you know,
your your Jewish background. But it's it's always a fun
a fun part, no matter if you celebrate you know,
the Jewish religion or not, because it's just it's just
fun to see the bride and groom hoisting up on
those chairs waving their napkin around.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, well let me tell you something, you know, Andy.
And then this was nineteen eighty five when we did this,
it was it was no, it's actually about eighty seven.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I think it was not an easy thing to do
with Chuck Couperstein. Chuck's not a little dude, you know,
he's not, and he wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
He's I think he's slimmed down quite a bit now
as he's beyond twenty years of doing play by play
of the Dallas Maverison Radio But we worked side by
side there at KRLD.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
And we were we were groonsmen in.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Each other's weddings and he, uh, he's stick.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yeah he did not a little dude.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I mean, you you we'd have to be careful with
if of us doing that, you know, we hoist that
chair high enough, you might fly through the ceiling.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
You know, you're you're you're yeah, yeah, yeah, you're not
a big guy. You know, you're not a big guy.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Yeah, you know, so you're you're much more lighter weight
and easier to hoist. I think by those who would
do the hoisting. You know, Chuck was not a little
dude back then, so you know, that was more of
a challenge.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
And when I was doing the hoisting at uh, when
I was at the wedding, I was a groomsman for
one of my good family friends from Maryland. This was
a couple of years ago. I made sure I was
on the bride side. Uh uh oh, so you making sure.
I want a little bit less weight to be responsible
for because I'm not the biggest guy. You know, I
can't be responsible for the wedding disaster.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I guess that's the other side of that, right, If
you're if you're doing the hoisting. You know, you're you're
you would be we should we say strength challenged if
if you were having to uh command a big part
of the hoisting there.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
So you so you slip over to the bright side.
That's smart. That's that, it's smart on your part.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
You've got to you've got to know your strengths.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Yeah, especially especially if the groom is not a little dude.
If the groom has some weight or you know, considerable
girth to him. You know, if he's if he's got
if put it this way, if he's pretty solidly built,
it might be more of a challenge there.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
So I get that.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Okay, Well, that's that's that's good. And as you and
I talked about yesterday, there will be other opportunities for you,
uh pitching in and digging in to help us. But
but we always appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Well, I look forward to him.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah, it'll be a lot of fun. So there's baseball
today coming up. In fact, we'll we'll play it for
you right now. In fact, we we didn't have a
chance to get to it yesterday. I wanted you to
hear what Jim Schlasniegel told keep in our postgame show
about Dylan Valantis and also about the rest of the team,
(10:07):
how they navigated the weekend and worked around the rain
and did those things and just kind of cruised through
and pulled off the three game weekend series sweep. And
part of that obviously was really good pitching. Now it
required the recovery of the starting pitchers both on Friday
(10:29):
night and Saturday night as the Rugar Riojas got into
some difficulty in the first inning. Very first inning, walked
the first batter on four pitches. The bases were loaded
with nobody out, and then there was a ground ball
out for a fielder's choice, but the bases were still
loaded with a run home and only went out, but
(10:50):
he came back with back to back strikeouts. He got
out of the inning and that was the only run
that he allowed, and the Longgorns wound up with a twelve,
two run rule victory and Riojas recovered. On Saturday, Luke
Harrison gave up two runs in the first inning and
then turned it around after that gave him five and
a third and they go on and get to win.
(11:12):
Dylan Valantis and I kind of had a feeling that
Dylan would do this. It would be a It would
be at the very least a reversal of fortune that
he would not have any trouble at all early and
maybe some trouble later, if any trouble at all, and
I think that's the keyword there, if any trouble at all.
There was very little trouble for him, and he mowed
(11:33):
him down because remember he's a closer converting to a starter,
and he looked out standing and went through seven innings,
a career long for him.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Now again this is.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Still kind of in the experimental stage, seeing how his
arm bounce is back from that and how he works
from that transitioning from being a reliever closer in fact
to a starter. So you're going to hear that in
these words as well as timely hitting the longhorns hat
throughout the course of the weekend. So this was the conversation.
I meant to get through it yesterday and we didn't
(12:05):
have time. But this was Keith Warland businey with Jim
Schlosna go after the game.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
You know, Skipper, when you look at this weekend, just
how do you way wait? Because it's different for you
and your staff, y'all gonna look at it different than
we do as fans.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
Yeah, I mean I thought we got three really good starts,
so that's positive. I thought we got you know, Mike
Winner in a game, We got Cal Higgins in a
game we were we were tested, you know a little
bit in terms of playing from behind, and today got
you know, Rodriguez got the big bases loaded hit. I
think we loaded the basis the first three innings of
the game.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Uh. I thought we caught the ball for the most part.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
You know, we had a picture a couple of pitcher
errors and then you know, a couple of misplayed well
one misplayed ball in the outfield, I guess, but just
kind of looking at the things you can control, I
thought we ran the bases pretty well. I don't think
anybody missed any signs, you know, thing the things that
you practice. We ran the double steal, which is something
we spent some time on this week. The hitting is
gonna come and go, you know, no matter who you're facing.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
But it's a good start.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
And then obviously you take the things that we didn't
do great at and get to work on them.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
And then the other part is you moved a guy
from third base to first base.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Was exceptional this weekend. Yeah, I'm good he was exceptional.
He really was.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
In case, He's put a lot of work in. Kimball's
put a lot of work.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
In with him.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
Uh and uh, you know, I think there were never
several balls thrown down there.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
And used to say the dirt, but the turf, the
brown turf.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
But but yeah, he did a really nice job over
there first base all weekend.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
And I know that he may not have had I
had you had a little bit of I think apprehension
of taking a guy that's been it was so good
at the end of a game and all of a sudden,
here's the ball at the beginning of the game. I
thought he made the transition pretty well.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
He did today, you know, I mean it's always relative
to how everybody else is pitching, right, So we haven't
gotten you haven't gotten seen Floras yet. You haven't got
seen Cozart yet. Michael Winter, that's you know, he kind
of practiced eggshell there the first first appearance. He's better
than that. He's actually a better strike thrower even than
he was right there. So it's all relative to how
everybody else's pitching. So when we get you know, when
(14:04):
Burns gets the ball at the end of the game.
Can he be nearly as good as milanis? Hopefully If
he is, then we'll keep dealing right there. But we
just let's just wait and see how it goes.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yeah, that's a good way to talk about it and
to describe it as well, to see how it goes,
and we will. We'll see how it goes going forward
from there. All right, coming up and again four to
forty five pregame start time in the first pitches at
five o'clock, Texas and Lamar. The Lamar Cardinals come in
(14:32):
two and one, and we'll have more on this midweek
non conference the first of the season for the Longhorn
baseball team coming up a little bit later. But up
next we turn our attention to college basketball. As Texas
team surging right now. Good time to do it when
you get to mid to late February, that's what you
want to do, and they take on the LSU Tigers today.
(14:56):
We're going to hear from head coach Sean Miller coming
up here at the ballpark on a beautiful, absolutely gorgeous
Tuesday afternoon right here on Sports Radio AM thirteen hundred
zone and where you always listen to us for free
on the iHeartRadio app. One thing I've noticed since Jay
Carmon has taken over the producing role for this program
(15:19):
is that when we do Text and Tuesday, which means,
of course, in the four o'clock hour, at least one
of our bumpbacks is the music of the King George Strait.
The three o'clock hour we hear from the iconic Willie Nelson,
and in this the two o'clock hour, we hear from
the immortal Stevie Rayvaughn. Is that Jake has gotten into
(15:39):
exploring the catalog of Stevie Rayvaughn, both in the Double
Trouble era and in the solo era as well.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Am I correct about that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Did Cam have the same few in heavy rotation?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
No, but a little less.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Of the full catalog as opposed to what you're hitting
us with, and you today are hitting us with.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Looking out the window because you just talked about how
nice it is out there at the dish.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
I'm looking out the window right now, sitting here on
the broadcast booth at UFCU Dish fog Field. So yes,
it's a nice day to look out the window. By
the way, speaking to college baseball, and of course we
have the game for you coming up at five o'clock,
four to forty five.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Pre game start time.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
In the four o'clock hour, we're going to hear from
our good friend ty Harrington, part of our broadcast family.
Tie is basically camping out in the Dallas Fort Worth
Metroplex the first three weekends of the college the college
baseball season because he's working at Globe Life Feel in
Arlington for those big events. Throughout the course of the weekend.
(16:47):
We'll get his review on some of these like Oklahoma
apparently was just scintillating to watch. They were really really good.
TCU was as well, at least going into Sunday, and
others in Texas tag not so much. You know, it's
a Arkansas looked for the most part pretty good, but
the game got away from them, and so we'll visit
(17:10):
with Tye coming up in the four o'clock hour. We're
talking basketball right now with the conversation and the input
from the head coach, Sean Miller. Now, as we mentioned,
Texas comes off the win on Saturday night in Columbia, Missouri.
There were several noteworthy elements to that win. The Lotmorne
(17:33):
trailed early by five twelve to seven, and once they
took the lead. After that, there were some back and
forth and lead changes, but they never trailed by more
I think than three the rest of the first.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Half, and by halftime.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
On a drive to the hoop from Tremon mark on
and one that connected with one point nine to go
in the first half, it gave Texas a third three
thirty one halftime lead and they never lost the lead
after that. It got close, it was down to a
point of time or two in the first five six
minutes of the second half, but the long one slowly
(18:09):
but surely widened the gap and then just pulled away
with a full head of steam down inside the final
four minutes the game that wind up with a seventeen
point victory. Okay, that's one thing that's noteworthy. Number two,
and this is really important. Texas not only won its
fourth consecutive game. Remember they started zero and to an
(18:31):
sec play. Then they were two and four, then they
were three and five. They're now seven and five in
conference play. And we've been saying on this program and
others have said it too. It's it's not an original
notion by me, but There were several others who have
said in a power league like the SEC, if you
(18:54):
play a representative non conference schedule, and the Long Ones
did do that.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
They have wins of a ranked opponents.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
They also have a competitive loss to a top five
team in Yukon who could wind up being a number
one seed. They had a non competitive loss to Virginia,
but that was marked one turning point for Texas in
that but they and they had some other competitive defeats
(19:21):
but also played well in other parts. When you have
all of those things and you're in a power conference,
it's kind of important to try to finish at or
right around the five hundred mark, if not obviously above
the five hundred mark. But if you can get to
eight and ten, nine to nine, you've got a good
(19:41):
shot with a representative non conference schedule to land in
the NCAA tournament. Well, the Long Words have the representative
non conference schedule and four wins of I ranked opponents.
That's important to keep in mind. That road win in
Alabama is aging very very nicely. The win at home
for Vanderbilt is aging very very nicely, so important.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
To get those wins.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
How about MC State the win over NC state in Maui.
You wondered at the time, because they were barely in
the top twenty five, if it was going to matter
that much. It's turned out to be the fact that
it does matter, and they I think they played North
Carolina tonight or tomorrow. Anyway, it's gonna be a big
game and there's important some important wins along the way
(20:29):
for Texas, So it's important to keep all that in mind.
And now they have six games remaining, three at home,
three on the road. They have LSU at home, they
have Florida at home, and they have Oklahoma at home.
On the road, they have Georgia this coming Saturday. They
are at Arkansas and at Texas A and M. They
have those games remaining A and M. Of late is
(20:51):
kind of falling off, and if you look at some
of the bracketological prognostications, you're seeing that they're kind of
falling into that same mix with Texas right now. Depending
on what you know, I think it's is it CBS Sport, No,
it's it's the bubble Watch from ESPN that has the
categories of locks should be in and work to do,
(21:12):
and Texas has graduated from work to do into the
should be in but again they've they've got to finish
strong enough. But all of these factors roll into the
fact that the Long Runs are playing better basketball right now.
So yes, they're playing better basketball right now. However, they
(21:33):
got to keep their foot on the gas, especially and
I'm putting this in the nicest way possible winning the
games you quote unquote are supposed to win if you're
an NCAA tournament type team, and tonight would be one
of those games. LSU has been struggling as we know so,
and the game is at home, so it's an operative.
(21:55):
You really can't help yourself much in terms of the
net rankings and the computer ranking by winning tonight, but
you would do damage to yourself if you don't win,
So that's why tonight becomes important in that respect. The
other important thing that came out of Saturday night's game
is the depth the Long Worns were forced to display
and did so. Lasina Trey Oria unable to make the
(22:18):
trip as he has some soreness in that knee with
the miniscus problem, so he didn't even make the trip.
So Nick Cody, he's been in the program for three years,
including a red shirt season, and just never really has
gotten into the rhythm and the groove of distinguishing himself
for god to be you know, a McDonald's All American
(22:40):
and an outstanding recruit flashed it on Saturday night. He
was I think four or five from the floor and
hit his one free throw to complete an and one,
and so.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
He did really well.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
He had nine points and six rebounds and was a
really really important part of the Longhorns victory. So that
was important to keep in mind. And because of that,
Sean Miller was asked in yesterday his media zoom if
Nick Cody's play allows him to be a little more patient,
(23:18):
methodical and evaluating Lasina trey or he's knee and when
he might come back.
Speaker 7 (23:23):
They're unrelated. You know, one thing that I hope we
can accomplish. And this happens sometimes and the long course
of the season is as different individual players improve or
get their opportunity. You know, you can sometimes instead of
as the season goes on, play less players or have
a thinner bench, or maybe you're not as deep as
(23:46):
you want to be. Sometimes it can work in the
reverse where you can actually become deeper towards the end
because younger players have stepped up there. You have more
confidence in them, They've got more game opportunity, and that's
what Nick's going through. And you know, my hope is
we can get Lesina back and then now you have,
you know, two options making us deeper, playing too foul
(24:08):
trouble and being able to do the things that for example,
tournament play, the SEC tournament play requires. If you would
be able to win that first game, man, that second
game's on you fast.
Speaker 8 (24:19):
It favors the deeper team.
Speaker 7 (24:21):
So I think Nick, Cody and Lesina, Trey Orr are
a big part of what we do, both of them
and you know, I like the way Nick played against
Missouri and anxious to watch him here today and tomorrow
as well.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
One thing that continues to go very well for Texas
is the play of Dylan Swain, who was named co
player of the Week of the SEC with what he
accomplished last week. And he now has eight games this season,
six in SEC played where he has scored at least
twenty points. He had twenty five more the other night.
He's really been on a roll of late. And the
(24:58):
question was put to Miller of the instinctive part of
the basketball player in Daylon Swain that triggers the understanding
and when he has to turn it on.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Dylan has just really grown and matured.
Speaker 7 (25:11):
You know, I've used this term a number of times
talking about him, but he's the throwback. You know, he's
the young person and player that you recruited as a
junior in high school and you fell in love with
what he could become, knowing that like where he is
as a junior in high school is nowhere near where
he could be in college, and you just hope that
you can convince him to come and be with you
(25:33):
as the coach and your staff.
Speaker 8 (25:34):
And he did that.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
But we had a track record of getting to know
him and his mom and his family really well and
we developed a trust in a relationship. And then you know,
having the opportunity to coach him for his first two
years in college where he learned and grew got bigger
and stronger, and that's a big part of his development.
You know, at one point, Dalen was like one hundred
and seventy six pounds. You know today you watch him
(25:59):
at two twenty, so that's a big difference forty pounds.
And then you know, following us here to Texas and
just watching him work this summer and fall, and you know,
knowing that he was going to make a jump, We
knew that. But it's great to see him. I think
some make the jump, but I think the other part,
he's learning to be a leader. I think he's been forced,
(26:21):
like we threw him to the fire to do a
lot of things. And you know, I think he's more
comfortable being a leader, being the guy that has the
ball in his hands in critical times. He's more comfortable
today than he would have been in November December. You know,
he just so his greatest attribute is just his ball skills.
(26:41):
You know, he can play the game with the pass,
the dribble, and he knows what he's doing right now.
And I say that he just has a great gift
of size, you know, like Magic Johnson back in the day,
Like big difference when a guy can see the court
at six', nine six' Eight and dayalen at. Six eight,
you know we really can see over the defense and
(27:02):
you feel that sometimes watching.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Him play we'll hear More From sean miller coming up
later in the program.

(30:41):
join us tomorrow on the program and we'll talk about
spring training and where things are, with teams the free
agency moves that, have happened and also i'll ask him.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
About This.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Major League Baseball's Players Associations Executive Director tony clark, has
resigned and he's resigned amid a federal investigation today which
leaves the union without, their leader less than a year
before the expiration of the collective. Bargaining agreement this resignation
(31:18):
comes in the wake Of The eastern District Of new
york's ongoing investigation into the finances and the other dealings OF,
the mlbpa including questions about the Use Of One team
partners that's a multi billion dollar group licensing company part
owned by, the Union And, player's way which is a
(31:39):
youth baseball initiative that spent millions of dollars but offered
only a handful.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Of events so there's an investigation going on.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
With that the prosecutors are also investigating allegations.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
OF obstruction A Former Nfl.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Players association lawyer Alleged That tony Clark And, lloyd howell
who's THE former nflpa executive director who, later resigned mounted what,
they called quote a pressure campaign to shut down a
thorough review of a proposed bonus plan that would pay
Millions To one team executive. Board members the allegation was
(32:18):
Made by, heather McPhee a TOP veteran nflpa lawyer who
was fired after filing a wrongful termination lawsuit against. The
union McPhee is expected to testify before a federal grand Jury.
In brooklyn so this thing's. Getting messy and then, you
know you've got this. Going on and remember, the contract
(32:39):
the labor agreement expires. Next YEAR and i know it's
been on a lot of, folks minds a lot, of
speculation especially with teams like and at the head of
the Line the, dodgers signing, you know all, these multi
multi hundreds of millions of, Dollars Contracts kyle tucker being
the latest to sign out a free age and see
(33:00):
and people saying it's bad. For baseball and then the
owners are going to ask for a salary cap and
the union is going to say, no chance and there's
gonna be a work stoppage in twenty.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Twenty seven well we'll find out about. All that and
in the.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Middle of all, of that the head of the players.
Union resigns so it's getting interesting and maybe a little.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Bit messy jake takes a big piece right off the
board before everyone kind of gets their ducks in. A.
Row right it feels Like a saturday at a golf
tournament before what will be a very chaotic Offseason Ahead,
Moving Day, moving day, Exactly.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Right, and yeah while while.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
We meet With ty harrington in a, little bit the
player leaders are going to meet, and discuss, you know
the next steps.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
On, this, yeah yeah so they're going to, Be meeting
but tyle join us next hour to talk. College baseball
and because college baseball thing is is in a real,
good place even with everything that's HAPPENED, WITH nil i
think the expanded scholarship opportunities There help division. One baseball
(34:06):
it might have an adverse effect on junior, college baseball
or it could have the. Opposite effect if with the
quote unquote glot of scholarships that are available when the
schools go full on to thirty four, available Scholarships maybe
(34:26):
division one Programs like TEXAS or LSU or UCLA or
Tcu or oklahom, or whatever especially In the, power conferences
start becoming more discerning and taking a tighter look at
who they're going to have on. The roster even with,
expanded rosters maybe that winds up helping the Lower levels,
(34:48):
Division two, division THREE n ai AND the. Juco levels
we'll see how that rolls out. Over time, all right coming,
up next we're going to hear More From, shawn Miller
The long warrens head, Basketball coaches texas gets ready to

my gifts.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
WERE covered i forgot the music bumped.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
There, you go, all right well that?
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Works, out okay what you just heard at the start
there was from the, morning kickoff which you Can hear
Monday through friday from seven am to nine am here
on thirteen Under the zone with My cardball hard and
also with the world's, Strongest Man, mark henry and they, were,
(36:52):
ruminating speculating wondering what my work plan was, for TODAY
whether i was going to be involved with baseball, or
basketball And and harge is, Partially CORRECT.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Yes. I am i am on.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Both broadcasts BUT as i mentioned at, the start and
you have to understand that other folks work schedules also
affects my, work schedule and that includes, for example. Last
weekend last weekend we had the deal where other folks
(37:36):
Schedules Like, andrew haynes our Voice Of Long, worn softball
had to, be out so he. Went out he had
to go Out to california for his grandfather's ninetieth, birthday
party so that's. Really cool it necessitated backups going To.
Macombs Field cameron parker of our Staff And jay carmon
(37:58):
both slated. In there cameron worked The, doubleheader Friday and
jake did a mental inning of play by Play on
friday of both the Win Over ohio state and then On.
Over syracuse jake was scheduled to Call the saturday doubleheader.
At mccomb's cameron was to be over here At dishfark
FIELD because i would Be, In columbia missouri with. Men's
(38:21):
Basketball roger wallace would suffer me on, women's basketball as
he Did on thursday, night's game the Loss at vanderbilt
because we Had Coach sean miller's show to Record, on
thursday And then roger Continued the tennessee, road trip if,
you will and went to do The game sunday when
they Played. At tennessee so what we do is we
(38:43):
look at, the amalgam we look at my schedule on
the things that need to be network obligations as well
as our obligations on, the zone and then, from there
based on everybody, else's availability then we plug another folks to.
Help out jake was more than willing to. Help out
he didn't get to call a single inning of Softball
on saturday because of the heavy rains around. The area
(39:06):
when did you start to get, The, feeling jake that this.
Ain't happening i'm NOT gonna i think you used the
words yesterday my.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
HEART sank i think it was AROUND when i was
arriving to, the, ballpark OKAY because i thought right that
the rain was going to, pass through and that by
taking one game off the schedule and moving one of
the long ward, GAMES back, i, thought okay there's a
chance they'll, play two but even if it gets, pushed
back we'll stick around here and. Play, one THEN like,
(39:37):
i said the signs started to. Be there the scoreboard,
Goes Dark northern illinois leaves in, their bus carrying some
team meals with them back to, the HOTEL and, i, think.
Speaker 4 (39:49):
Okay, not great.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Not great and then, you know just the slow realization
that what's coming through is heavy and it's going to
stick around. A while and then the, inevitable hey start packing.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Up.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Slowly, Yeah Yeah so jake ended up not getting to
call the Games. On saturday but you'll be back involved
with us helping as we. Go forward so the bottom
line on this for today the schedule was because it
is a five o'clock start for baseball and then an
eight o'clock start for, men's BASKETBALL that i would be
(40:25):
doing my show over here today and then also calling
at the start of. The game because we all have,
day jobs so. TO speak i have the day job
for doing this daily show On. THE zone i have
two day jobs, apputing that and then the other full
time job Is Calling texas longhorns play by play for
football men's, basketball though so the two that are on
(40:47):
the network and then women's basketball. And baseball we adjust accordingly,
on schedule, home away getting from one point to, the
other and the availability. Of Others So roger wallace more
than willing to help, me out but. He couldn't roger
was not avaible to do the home baseball game because
(41:09):
he's he has a. Day job he's the sports director
at K. X An so roger is doing his sports
cast and the six o'clock hour and their six o'clock
newscast and then he'll come over and when he arrives,
over here, you know whenever it is six thirty quarter
seven somewhere in, that area then he will quote unquote,
relieve me and he'll finish out the play by play on.
(41:33):
The Game keith wornland will be here for the entirety of,
the game and we'll go down to do the postgame
interview With coach losnagel and players. As well so you
really do need the two man booth thing there to
man both of. Those duties And then i'll head Across
to moody and then call the network broadcast of the.
Basketball game that's the answer to. The question so it's
(41:55):
not as it's not as complex in terms of. The
philosophy it's just a matter of the logistics people being
in the places where they want.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
To be hopefully that explains it a. Little bit, all.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Right let's Hear From long worn's Head Coach. Sean miller first,
of all here's a team that's now won four in
a row and they're sixteen to nine with six games.
To go they's seven and five in. The conference and
not only is it a four game, winning streak it's
a four game winning streak.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
And, conference play and they.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Were down remember not only go one two in, the
league but they'd had some earlier stumbles Like the VIRGINIA
game i mentioned and some of the.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Other things so the question For coach miller was.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Was there a moment or was there a moment from
earlier in the season that helped him get his team
to where they are?
Speaker 7 (42:44):
Right now, YOU know i think there's a couple of
moments for us to, This point, and obviously, YOU know
i hesitate to talk in terms of where at, the
end because as we, all know these next two or
three weeks is the moment of truth, for everybody Not
just texas but everybody in college basketball wants to play
well from this point. Moving forward but, you know looking
(43:04):
back and answering, your question, YOU know i Think the
virginia point was was a moment of.
Speaker 8 (43:12):
Reckoning for our team and.
Speaker 7 (43:13):
OUR staff i wasn't sure what we would be capable
of doing in terms of wins. And losses at the,
SAME time i don't know if at that moment everybody
really truly Recognized that virginia was One of america's. Best
teams it felt that way when we played them on.
That night but if you followed, them since, you know
you can make the argument that they're one of the
(43:35):
top eight ten teams in. A, country so but we
learned a lot about ourselves how far we had to
go at. THAT moment i also Think the alabama game
on the road kind of a breakthrough moment where we
had played well on the road, in stretches but we
really were able to leave that game with the hard
fought victory against an excellent team that gave. Us confidence
(43:56):
and then, you know those two IN particular i would
call on and from that, POINT on i just feel
like we've stayed. With it, you know when you guys
watch us, in games we're the byproduct of what we've
done between. Each game you know how hard we've worked,
fixing problems trying, to improve and you know our team
is settled into a good group good A good i
(44:17):
think way, of practicing of, working hard. BEING consistent i
think there's more trust and buy in with each other
and what, we're doing, and uh, YOU know i think
it's put us in a position where we've grown and.
Gotten better now that remains to be seen where we go.
From here we have to keep working and. Getting better,
but uh THAT'S how i see our season to.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
This point so with the.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Team now adding to its, win total adding TO its ncaa,
tournament resume can he see it a difference in their
confidence when they go to the floor in practice and obviously,
in games.
Speaker 7 (44:57):
No doubt, you know winning does. BREED confidence i think
it breeds confidence and in our fans. As well, YOU
know I think i'll go back TO what i began
with here today is, you know hoping we have a
great environment and a home court advantage really like like
is Required in february AND the sec tomorrow NIGHT. Against
(45:17):
lsu it's, a big big game. For us we only
have three home games left and uh it would be
really quickly we're gonna only have. Two left so, you
know my hope is that we can really feed off
of our students and in that uh.
Speaker 8 (45:30):
And that and.
Speaker 7 (45:31):
That energy but in terms of, the confidence you know with,
our team, you know there's also that fine line between,
you know you start to win and take it, for
granted you start to get away from maybe things that
got you.
Speaker 8 (45:44):
On the initial.
Speaker 7 (45:45):
Wind, streak uh and that is, you know, your process,
working hard trying to, get better feeling like, your cornered
playing with, an edge, you know trying to fix the
problems that have plugged you in.
Speaker 8 (45:55):
The past.
Speaker 7 (45:56):
You KNOW so i think we just we're riding that
fine line of just trying to, be good trying to,
get better and trying to not get too far ahead.
Of ourselves. You know just, every day today's a. Big
day how can we get READY, For lsu how can we?
Get better and it's no bigger than that for. Our
team so that's the focus that has gotten us to
(46:17):
where we're at, right now and we have to keep.
Speaker 8 (46:19):
That focus.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
You know you hear coaches quite often, talk about, you
know being in, the moment and that includes on, the
floor on the, practice floor the importance, of that not
just on the game floor when you're trying to win.
A game so he addressed a question about how does
(46:41):
he judge if the team on any specific given day
is a win by what, they've done whether they're playing
in the game or practice.
Speaker 7 (46:50):
Or, whatever well just the environment that we have for
our players today and everything that we do, with them,
you know just first things we can control is, you know,
our staff the energy that, we have how organized, we are,
you know how prepared we are before we get to
the PLAYERS for lsu and we've been working on them
(47:11):
for in essence, a week and, you know we have
to be able to put together a game plan and
prepare them so that they can be a confident team
and a confident player on. The court they know what
we're doing and why we're doing.
Speaker 8 (47:27):
Those things, you know that's, a big big part.
Speaker 7 (47:29):
Of it and then, you know with, the players just
holding them accountable and demanding excellence and, you know not
getting too far ahead.
Speaker 8 (47:37):
Of ourselves, you know today's.
Speaker 7 (47:38):
About today every drill from the beginning to, the end
and everything that we do, in practice we want to have.
Their attention. YOU know i think a big way that
we try to put it is. Be alert. Be alert,
you know there's no. Day dreaming it's just be attentive
to the segment that we're at and trust what we're
doing so that when, it ends we feel that we
(48:00):
great peace of mind that we did what we needed
to do to prepare. For tomorrow so, that's it and
we've been in that mode for quite some time, right
now and we have to just stay.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
In it.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
YOU know i was Watching The Iowa state houston game.
Last night great matchups of. TWO teams I guess houston
was number two in the country going into the Game
And iowa state was number six in the country going into.
The game but, both teams even though, they were, you
(48:34):
know top ten, ranked TEAMS and i guess you could
say both could really even be in the, top five
both teams have a vulnerability and that vulnerability is free.
Throw Shooting iowa state went into that game with the
lowest free throw percentage In The Big. Twelve conference you,
think about it's a top ten team and they, were shooting,
(48:58):
you know less than what, was it sixty? FIVE percent, i,
guess no less than under sixty percent as, a team and.
Speaker 4 (49:06):
That's crazy, TO me.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
I know and the.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Guy on the free throw line was a forty six
percent free. Throw shooter hit the, first one missed, the
second and probably it was a good thing that he
missed the, second anyway because they just had to fling
at ninety feet down.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
The, floor anyway it did not. Haunt them Tam, and lipsey.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
By, the way what a huge play.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
That was it was a great play when he met
when he rebounded, a miss and so that was that
was Tremendous that lipsey was able to Do that. Lipsey,
Himself however jake is a sixty five percent free. Throw
shooter remember he missed two free throws in that second
half When iver state, was struggling and then they got,
(49:47):
down ten and then they.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
Came, back houston.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
With an eighty five percent free throw shooter on, the
line misses the front end of a one. In One
io state gets the rebound and it helps them complete.
Their comeback so both teams had have a shortcoming there.
Of vulnerability there one thing that has been in the.
Longhorns favor get this. These numbers texas as a team
(50:11):
is shooting seventy five percent from the foul line seventy
five percent from the free throw line as.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
A team that's.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Pretty, impressive yeah and they, STRUGGLED early i mean, non
conference there were some costly misses at, the line and
they've really come.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
Around, there, yep yep, All right so they're shooting seventy
five percent from the line as a team OVERALL in.
Sec play in, conference play believe it, or Not the
longhorns are shooting eighty percent as a team in. Conference
play in twelve. Conference games they're shooting eighty percent from
(50:47):
the free. Throw line that's rarefied air to be able to,
do That And sean miller, was asked have there been
a lot of technical improvements as well as the mindset
that has helped them be a much better free throw
shooting team in.
Speaker 7 (51:05):
Conference, play well it's a big part of, Our. Program jerry,
you know we started really in the summer called. Stripe work,
you know we we just we really just hold our
team accountable every day to making free throws and, shooting them,
you know not just you know kind of down there
in the side basket guys, screwing around kind of taking,
(51:26):
it serious kind of not, you know more of a
focused approach of like you have a responsibility as part
of our program to make a certain number every single
day that we have a practice or we touch.
Speaker 8 (51:38):
These guys yesterday would have been.
Speaker 7 (51:40):
An example and, you know the focused approach of of
like keeping track of it. Over time it adds up
not only individually. But collectively it. Builds confidence then the
second part is when we shoot free throws in practice
and shoot free throws in the. Shoot around like, EVERY
coach i don't think there's one that's different. Than me,
you know you want to Quiet, at jim you want
(52:00):
guys thinking about their routine and the tempo that they
shoot free, throws at and you want it to be
representative of how it feels in.
Speaker 8 (52:09):
A game and.
Speaker 7 (52:10):
That's not as easy to do as you think because
a lot of times when the free throw, break occurs
you know a lot of players look. At it that's
their time to take, a break, drink, water talk and
the next thing, you know you're not really concentrating like
you want to concentrate in a. Real game so that's
really what we try. TO do i don't think it's
anything more complicated, than that other than it is. An
(52:32):
emphasis and when you get to the free, throw line to,
your point converting them is a. BIG difference, i mean you,
miss too it's like.
Speaker 1 (52:39):
A turnover one other Thing For, sean miller he was
asked for his thoughts on what has Happened At. Kansas,
state now we got into this pretty, extensively yesterday and
this was an offshoot of the very direct and blunt
comments Made by texas women's Head Coach vick Shaffer and
(53:02):
tennessee's women's Head Coach kim caldwell about the play of
their team in.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
Recent losses in, these parts.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
We're most familiar with What coach schaeffer Said on thursday
night after the Loss, of vanderbilt when, he said it's
the softest team he's, ever coached and the team had,
no heart and there was a lot of things he
was really really. Upset about and they came back and
played well Enough, on SUNDAY and vic didn't like the,
seventeen turnovers but they played well Enough on sunday and got.
The win and he said after the game they did.
(53:30):
Have heart, he said they just didn't show it the
other night and played well enough. To win and they,
played tough hard nosed basketball when they, had to and
they got that stop and, waning seconds, he said if you're,
asking ME would i rather have to make a shot
or get a stop to win?
Speaker 2 (53:46):
A game at the end of, the game it's got.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
To stop and that's what they Did When breonna preston
knocked the, ball loose and they got the stop and
held on for that two point Win.
Speaker 3 (53:56):
Over tennessee you, Know, WHAT craig I Think sean miller
would say score about, His, team.
Speaker 2 (54:01):
Well, this team he.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
Would say and by, The way sean is very very
direct about pointing. Out that and THIS is i think
this is an example of, good coaching tailoring your system
to the talent, you have not the other. Way around
you don't the, square peg round. Hole it, you know
there's some non. Negotiable things effort is obviously one, of
(54:26):
THOSE but i mean in terms of, tactical strategy there
are very few of, those things but you do have
to be able, to adjust and they've had to adjust
some things based on the strings that they have of.
The basketball and he talked about That With tremont mark
taking shots that most of the metrics say are not
good shots because they're fifteen to seventeen foot the dying.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Dynamic that is the, mid range but.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
It works Well For, tremont mark by, the way works
very Well From addison booker on the. Women's Side so
sean talks about those things. As well but the whole
point of what we were talking About Yesterday vick schaeffer's
really hard, Line Approach kim caldwell's hard, line approach also
the hard line Approach Of, jerome tang the Coach At.
(55:14):
Kansas state he said very similar things about heart and
hustle and being embarrassed in all of those sorts. Of
things but Unlike coach schaeffer And. Coach Camwell coach tang.
Was fired you Got. Fired, sunday now the easiest thing
you look at there is the team is ten and
fifteen and they're one.
Speaker 2 (55:34):
And eleven in. Conference play that's the.
Speaker 1 (55:37):
Main reason but maybe he Gave k state administration a
reason to try to fire him for cause that's what.
They said so they don't have to pay out the remaining,
eighteen million seven hundred and sixty thousand dollars on. That
deal stay tuned for litigation that's going. To happen you
know that's going. To happen but in, Any Event sean
miller was asked for his thoughts on that whole Situation
(56:00):
Surrounding jerome tang At.
Speaker 7 (56:02):
CASE state i don't know enough about it, to really,
you know give give my thoughts other than, YOU know
i Certainly Respect jerome tang a great deal as, a
coach and not only what he Did At, kansas state
especially in that, first YEAR which i think was an
historic run for, that program especially in your, first year
but also you know what he Did at baylor for
(56:24):
almost two Decades With. Scott drew you know, those guys
the way they recruited built, their program did it In the.
Big twelve is incredibly impressive and deserves a lot.
Speaker 8 (56:35):
Of respect just just.
Speaker 7 (56:37):
In terms of, BEYOND that I don't i don't really
know enough to be able to give you.
Speaker 8 (56:42):
My thoughts it's.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
A tough situation. For coaches coaches understand what other coaches are.
Going through That's Why vick schaeffer was Was Defending kim
caldwell the criticism she had sustained of late As The
lady vols have. Been struggling so coaches understand the walk
(57:05):
the other, coaches have and, you know sometimes it's difficult
to have a full throttle opinion on another coaches situation.
As Well, all right we have more coming up as
we continue here On this tuesday AFTERNOON From ufcu Dish
faulk field On SPORTS radio am thirteen Under the.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
Zone And the. iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (57:30):
The one And Only WILLIE nelson a little more willing
to hear from other Than. Just valentine's, after all it
Is A texan tuesday here on Thirteen. HUNDRED zone im
glad to have you with us here coming away FROM,
You Fcu. Dish farkfield we've talked a lot, of basketball
a lot. Of baseball i'm a little. Football news here's
something weird that's. Come, Down, OKAY jake i know you
(57:53):
keep up with some of the conference moving around that.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Has Happened North.
Speaker 1 (58:00):
Dakota state is going to move is going to step
Up to DIVISION one fbs. Level football we talked about that.
Last week they're going to Join The Mountain. West, conference
okay so so they're they're stepping into that and there's
another team from out west that's stepping up on a five.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
Year run.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
But they're not Joining The, mountain west which would make
sense To Do sacramento state, join it but. They're not
they're Joining The Mid american.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
Conference naturally, just naturally.
Speaker 1 (58:38):
They're JOINING, the mac which by, the way if if,
correct Me if, i'm, wrong you mass has been IN.
The mac but they're getting out OF, the mac. AREN'T
they I thought i had seen that they're getting out
Of The Mid. American conference and they have a huge.
Game tonight if you are following, college basketball keep an
(58:59):
eye on the game to night that's Happening, In. Amherst
massachusetts UMass is Playing undefeated Miami of ohio and they
Took The. RED hawks i believe the overtime in an
earlier Meeting in miami and now the rematches. Up there so,
(59:20):
you know there's a lot of speculations Saying that miami
has to go unbeaten and win the conference tournament otherwise
or are going to miss out ON The. NCAA tournament
i haven't. Believed That And, joe lenardi who's, the bracketologist
kind of verified my view on that when, he said
since nineteen, seventy nine SINCE the ncaaa started seating teams for,
(59:44):
the tournament they have never ever ever let a team
that was unbeaten in the regular season that lost out
in the conference tournament not get in as an. At
large so they've never done THAT and i don't expect
(01:00:05):
that they'll do.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
IT now i.
Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Don't, either yeah and he said they might not even
have to go unbeaten in the regular season in order to,
get in but it certainly wouldn't wouldn't hurt him. As, Well,
meanwhile joe by, the way his updated his. Bracketological prognostications
He has texas up to a nine seed now up
to spot from where he'd. Had him he's got him
(01:00:27):
up to a nine seed where they would face the Eighth,
seed Iowa and i'd be perfectly okay. With this they'd Be,
In Greenville. South carolina hey there, you go yeah In. The,
east now if, they won they're looking at probably a
Rematch with duke in the, second round but a nine Seed,
in greenville that would. Be okay that, is also since
(01:00:50):
we were talking a lot about me bouncing between basketball
and baseball this time, of year that's an easy drive
from there Down to auburn because the long worn baseball
team has as a weekend conference.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Here Down at auburn, that weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
JUST like i did last year WITH The sec tournament
and spinning Down a starkville to. Call baseball, so yeah,
you know you make whatever you have, to work work
that sort. Of thing but He likes texas On, the
rise and so do other teams that other services that do,
the projections the bracket Projections like texas On. The, rise
(01:01:23):
again they can help themselves with. Win tonight we'll be
back to wrap up hour number two on thirteen Under
the zone
