Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's good? What ups muscle? You're checking out the Cruise
Show podcast?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Subscribe The number one movie in the country Movie six
in theaters right now is back on The Cruise Show.
I'm gonna correct you. What's number one movie in the world.
I don't know how long I'm be able to say that,
but it feels good right now that we number one
in the world. It broke records overseas and looking at

(00:28):
R rated, I think it's paramount the biggest R rated right,
biggest lady comedy opening?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Okay, was this the most personal movie you've ever made? No?
I don't take any movie personally.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I just think that for me, I think every movie
we've done, we've always put our heart and soul into Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
When it was stripped from us, it was like, why
they want to do that?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
And to have it back and put our heart and
soul back into it for the fans to receive it
the way they did. Critics they always gonna hate, but
you know, we don't make them for them. They I mean,
I'm just like, you know, I get it. You know,
every movie we've done, it's never gotten it over like
a forty tomato. It's just the way it is and

(01:15):
you know, for us the fans like, this one had
better audience exit polls than the first Scary movie, so
you know, I mean it's all subjective.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
They gave white.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Chicks to sixteen, which is crazy, which is wow, that's
wild work.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That look crazy. Scary Movie two got a eight. It's
wild work.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I don't know what they're watching. Saw the postcars see
I was like, I don't, I don't know what movie.
That's okay, but that's a good thing. That's a dan's
goal and they laugh.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Comedy subjective. I'm not mad at the critics. Critics, I
do their job. The job is to critique films. I'm
not mad at them.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
But audiences like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to go
see this movie because it's stupid and I just want
to have fun and laugh.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I want to smoke a blunt, go in there and laugh.
That's I can tell you. I'll still Hi, it's okay.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Off that ship you were smoking in the movie.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Bro Oh yeah, that that's that good good.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
My favorite scene, My favorite scene was Sean in the
church saying the most.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
But in his eyes, he's not gay, that's right. The matter.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Funny thing is he's in there to not be gay
no more because he's being.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Delivered right and the whole time, you know.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
But see, for us, it's about peaks and valleys and
big laughs. And you know, everybody's like some of the
jokes didn't work, Yeah, but that some of the punches
in the boxing match don't land sometimes, and that may
not land with that box, but in another fight, if
I throw that jab to the body, that's gonna constantly hit.
When you're doing comedy, at least with throwing out five

(02:56):
jokes a minute, you know what I mean, we have
at least three jokes a minute.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Every scene there is an attempt.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
You're supposed to attempt to be fun land Every joke
maybe not land with you, but at points bring everybody
together for a big laugh. And that's the way a
comedy goes small out after here a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
For someone else.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It'll be funny for someone exactly, it might be too
dark for you, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
It's hard if you a black man.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Somebody got a really funny nigga joke, I don't know if
Nigga's gonna laugh about it unless it's really that funny.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Jackie.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Hello, laughed at the ice joke.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Oh yeah, she was looking a why because it came
out of left field and she was prepared to feel
offended and she was.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Not prepared because the way that it just it was
set up. I was like, okay, like you don't think
about it and then you think about the look outside
your window.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
But it's talking about it and having a good time
with it, sending it up. And I want to say this, Burbank,
you know, Burbank was our strongest uh theatergoers.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Burbank and Latinos. That's it, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I just want to give a shout out to the
Latino community. I want to give a shout out to Burbank. Yeah,
because you guys showed up and you know, the beautiful
thing by Latinos.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Y'all like to laugh, and y'all laugh loud.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I was in San Antonio, hell full of Latinos and
they were spitting popcorn in there and drinking beer, and
someone I.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Want them a little loud, little loud dogs in there,
and they were laughing. They didn't bring our dog in there.
Dogs stop playing, y'all.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Bought the chihuahuas, the one with the big eyes and
looked like someone put a finger in there. But I'm
taking my dog into the movie theater. Lo key, that's
the Mexicans ship. Yeah yeah, hell yeah, bro Yo, the
shack scene was crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Your shock voice is wild appreciate, but it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
It was just like cool. You don't stay in one
word that he said, Koby cherry rushed. He only says
his names Charles.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
But yeah, man, look there's a lot. I love that people.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Are like, yeah, some jokes then and then they'll go
on and list all these different jokes and be like,
come on, bro, yeah it's okay.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It was a funny homie this guy.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
It's okay to be like it was a funny movie,
that's all. If you don't like the first time, watching
the second time. And I'm like this, look, if you
didn't like the movie, I'll see you on the next one.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
And I guarantee you, little by little, we gonna.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Wear you down because we ain't going Maybe White Chicks
Too is more your flavor.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
And yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
We saw Tiffany. Tiffany was there. We did a little cameo.
But I just I wanted to I know how much
the fans wanted that movie, and so I just wanted
to like it. We was trying to find a joke
for that, Like I asked them a Moore.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I was asking, you know, I was like.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Should she be made to stay in? Who does she
turn into? And it just never hit and I was
just like, I don't know, maybe I was high man,
Maybe what was she turn into?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Tiffany Wilson White Chicks and my producer part of my brother,
Are you high? I was like, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
But it was just like and it was like, but
you gotta get in the makeup, you gotta do this.
It's just like I was like, yo, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
And we did it.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
And it was so huge because I was like, how
dope would it be to tease to cross universes?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
They do it in.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Marvel all the time Universe they cross universes. And I'm
looking at the Waynes and I'm like, nah, We're not
just like a movie at this point. I look at
the Waynes and go, We're a brand. I want to
cross universes. I want to bring the White Chicks universe
into scary movie that's never been done outside of like
superhero movies. And I was like, this is a meta movie.

(06:58):
So let's be meta. And I don't know if they're
going to understand it right now. I think years from now,
movies like this become classics because we're ahead of the curve.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
They're a little bit behind. But when they catch up
there and be like, yo, that.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
The fact that they did K pop demon Harns, how
did that even happen?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
When that movie just came out for him to be
high and then to have that dream.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
That he was, They'll get it. It's that that My
that was promo in the movie was skimmity. Yeah, it's
skimmity toilet. You know, my kids saw Sometimes you got
to be random. It's brain rots. And when you're doing
a movie like a scary movie, Yo, stop, what are
you trying to give me all these dramatic elements. I'm

(07:46):
trying to be funny and crazy and connect with these
kids and with this new audience, not just the old audience.
I'm trying to bring everybody. We're trying to bring everybody together,
and that's.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
A hard thing to do.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
To bring in streamers, to bring in the tiktoks, like
the fact that we had constant not and we did
a streaming and Shorty is a streamer, I'm making things
and they're.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Like, oh, there's somebody these old people chilling jokes.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I'm like, y'all don't even get the fact that we
bought it to the youth.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Y'all don't get it.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
And also at times too, like you were making fun
of yourself for being the unk in the same Absolutely,
absolutely yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
And that's the thing is that, like I feel like
with like you said, reviews are going to be reviews
and whatever, but people are saying like, oh, well, I
felt like, you know, they're just making fun of the youth.
They're not.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
You guys are not being includ making fun of anybody.
Everybody can get The youth gets it. Our generation gets it,
you know what I mean. Everybody gets it. Black people
get it, White people get it.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Get it.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
That's what we're here for. Everybody could get it's good
sad movie. Everybody can get it. We are equal opportunities,
and we don't do it anything that when everybody gets
their turn to laugh at each other and with each other,
for sure, and that's what we want to do now,
y'all make a fair movie that hopefully made people feel
good or reminded people about a time where people sat

(09:09):
in the theater and they laughed. We haven't had that
in fifteen years. Go to the movie theater and just
go laugh. Connect with the fifteen year old than you.
This movie is not for the fifty something or the
sixty year old. No, it's for the fifteen year old
that stays in the body of a fifty sixty year old.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
And it's for the fifteen year olds. There's actually fifteen.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Go enjoy with your kids and your teenage kids, and
go reconnect with your youth and just go have a
good time, because you know what, there's gonna be a
day be like, yo, me and my dad we went
to go see scary movie and your daddy ain't gonna
be here.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
And you're like, damn that movie. We lie. Remember we laughed.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
So loud, man, And I get those people coming up
to me all the time. Man, white Chicks. You're saying,
me and my mother. My mother died of cancer, but
that was our movie coming up, and I just want
to thank you guys for making that movie. Now, meanwhile,
rotten Tomatok's Gate out of fifteen percent, but that meant
something to somebody. So for us, man, that's all we want.

(10:12):
This is for people that want to connect, for people
that want to last go see it. If not, I'll
see you on the next one. But just know that
my intentions we never did like, oh it was lazy writing.
There's nothing lazy about writing eight hundred pages only to
cut it down to one hundred and twenty five pages,
only to shoot one hundred and ten pages and really

(10:35):
shoot one hundred and seventy pages, and then cut that movie.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Down from a three hour movie to an hour and
twenty four minutes.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You know, we put a lott of effort in this,
and it's like, I don't think people understand how hard
it is to a bring all these characters back, bring
in a whole new generation, tell all these jokes with
all these different streaming, the streaming platform and the movies.
In the harroom, we shoot it, and then the Michael

(11:05):
Jackson and the pop cult. We shot it November last year.
I was gonna say, I see we shot it. I
think it was November. I think we started November. We
ended by Christmas, and then we got we did reshoots
in April, and then you're in the editing room as well,
right whole time editing. I mean to write this and
I was touring the whole time, so you know, I'm

(11:25):
on tour every weekend coming off of him as well,
right coming off to him promotional tour. I was writing
this movie while I was promoting him. We was prepping
the movie, so I wrote the movie as I was like,
I was doing it. As soon as we wrapped him,
we wrote the movie, and then I did the press
tour for him, and we was prepping the movie. And
then after prep I jumped right into the movie. And

(11:47):
even while I was prepping to I'm still touring every weekend.
By the way, I'm gonna be in the.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Los Angeles area in July.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
I will July sixteenth, I'm gonna be at the Novo
and Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Get your tickets right now.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
That's at the Novo, and that's a Thursday, July seventeenth
through July nineteenth, I'm at the Improvin Irvine. And then Friday,
July twenty fourth and July twenty fifth, I'm not the
MGM Grand Theater in Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
So y'all get.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Your tickets, come see me full Yeah, crash off the
number one movie in the wall, scary movie six in
the way. You know, I'm happy. I like your diversity. Yeah,
what do you think you got a nigga up in here?

Speaker 1 (12:31):
You never had one of us? I was. I always
felt like I was one. Now you got one. Unless
he's just a really nappyhead in Mexican's stupid. Man, Oh
you're Dominican.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Dominicans are black mule anyway, Yeah, ain't but niggas that
speaks Spanish and don't wear.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Socks, yo, Marlon. At any point were you attempting to
reference him as a parody.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I wrote.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Two scene with him and and if him was a
little bit more successful, we were to put it in.
But but and and it didn't really fit with this movie.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
But I'm not against putting a hymn parody in the
next movie. Remix your own movie.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Always, man, I'm if don't be a minis this mom
my family were crazy, don't be a minis. We had
a joking there about my mother Ei fool. She got
more kids than Miss Wayans. Yeah, taking shots at your
mommy eye fool. You know you kiss every nigga, every
nigga the party. Hey, man, she got more kids than
Miss Ryans. That's why I want to do a secret

(13:38):
to I want to be a minute I think Scary.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Movie six is like, yeah, the return, right, but.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
It's also I think the start of a bigger plan
for you. I said, right, yeah, it's like a return to.
It feels like with this movie, it was like when
Iron Man came out, the first Iron Man.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Or that first Spider Man with Toy Maguire.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
And blew Up and you remember the old Superman movies
from back in the seventies with Christopher.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Reeves and it just started this whole new wave.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I feel like Scary Movie is that thing that's going
to bring back that whole new wave of R rated
comedies and comedies that I think this generation of kids need.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
They don't have it. We had John Hughes coming up,
We had you know, Porky's. We had all these rated.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
R crazy movies where I could see some titties, you
know what I mean, and some sex jokes. I learned
I'm not alone jerking off that other people are doing
it too, Marlowe.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I missed that kind of humor.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I just feel like, and comedies subjective is not for everybody,
and that kind of humor is not for everybody, but
there are some people that need to see that. If
it wasn't for the Looney Tunes, my family would not
be our family. That dark, crazy cynical sketch show called
Looney Tunes was. It was edgy, it was reverent, it

(15:05):
was somewhat racist, but they were not afraid to go there.
And I think that's the world. And social media got
everybody so scared to go there. You can't be if
you can't question laughter.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Everybody looking first. When you crack the dark joke, they
go everyone else.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, the Latinos laughing, right, Okay, it is good.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
You can't. You can't you go to the movie trying
to offended. You're gonna be offended. But honestly, we took
it light.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah, y'all it could have been. I don't want bare
knuckle boxing.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Y'all want that scary movie seven? It's seven? Will there
be a seven? Seven? We're gonna get a zero around to.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
That's how edgy this ship's gonna be. Let's I'm not giving,
but that's right, start jokes. I'm gonna start the movie
with a fart, just to pistol the first thing, like Dobe,
like thhx.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yo.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
You said, if people watch Scary Movie six right here
on this show, White Chicks too, is.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Why you being.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Made toxic doing Get Me in Trouble. You know you
sat up crazy these people off of White Chicks. You're
trying to get me killed. These people I know Sean
hated it. White Chicks fanags. We loved doing the movie.
We hated doing the makeup.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
We hated wearing heels.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
I got a size twelvel and have flat foot and
a bunion comes sometime. I looked like Lebron's imagine Lebron
foot and some open toes heels, but in flat I
already got playing the fashion. I don't don't what I
knew that that. So, yes, we you know the how
about the you know the money. The money gotta be right,

(16:57):
so we gotta will be But I will say that
now we're at least talking about it. Me and my
brothers and certain studios were talking about it. So there
may be an announcement that may not. Do not hold
me to it and do not get me killed. Because
Cruise got away of trying to get me in trouble.

(17:17):
You almost got me canceled, yo, all right, So don't
ask me nothing about Diddy. I don't know Marlon Wayne's
versus fifty cent was, oh, you started that one too.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, he's got a starting ship. God damn you, little instigator. Yo,
I'm gonna start going with you.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yo. Big boy said he could fuck you up, yo, Yo,
big boy. Funny because he did say that. I'm not Yo.
Big Boy. Cruise said, now that you're skinny, he can
fuck you out.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
You're stupid, he said, he said, he said, I slapped
the ship out, a big boy, and then I'll ring
a cow bell. Little big boy a neighborhood dumb dog. Crazy,
But that moment was crazy. I remember checking in on
you. You were in Mexico, I think golfing or something, and
you were like, this ship is crazy. You check in
on me after you get me in high water, No,

(18:04):
get me in a fight, and they go, hey man,
you good, no good. The murderer got shot nine times,
A buff murderer got shot nine times.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Ready to kill me? What is wrong with you? From
your question, I ain't got nothing to do.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
My name is Bennett, and I ain't in it.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
That's a lot.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Somebody clipped it out and then.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
It just took off from there, got out another clip station.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I know we do need clippers though, but nah no, that.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Was a crazy time, the Diddy thing and you did
call me. That's the second time.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Stop, don't ask me about nobody's a scary movie.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Me and the critics is gonna be in a beef. No, no, no, no.
It was just a wild moment. We were crazy viral
and yeah, he got new TVs in here. You know
a house that. There's a house that Marlin Bill, Look,
you got new TVs.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
You got a new let in here, you got Coco
let in here.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Hey, what's let you doing?

Speaker 2 (19:08):
He's selling last No, he's not selling that. He's doing
something for some money. Them old titties on some cock
right now and.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Extra skin. I want to say, that's why they called
him letend. I do want to think right now to
pay his bills, can't she let you? We do want
to think d t L a law group though for
the sponsorship, we do want to do that.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
I don't know if you want to shout them out
right now after putting penis between his used to be
why not?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Speaking of like the end credits to people got to
stay for the end credits, but eleven wins were listed
in the end credits. Is there any wins that didn't
make the end credits that they were pissed, like, why
did you put my name in there?

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Everybody at work was in it.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
My son and my nephew Mallam had a scene and
we cut it. But if you look in the video
game That by Daylight.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
They're the two gamers and that's playing on the TV.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
But they had a scene, but the scene was too
similar to the Cosson not scene, so we took it out.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
But it was it was a funny thing, you know.
I wanted to be inclusive of that.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
But my son and Malla but they still got their credit,
and my niece Layla got two songs on the soundtrack Wow,
which is which is great.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
And yeah, we made a family fair.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Your nephew that looks like Keenan, I mean identical to Keenan,
your nephew. They look just a least dandrous, Yo, I
know what he looked like how, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Maybe her vagina shaped that way. He's stupid stopping mane.
That's where a lot of life. Man. You asked me,
now you're gonna get me in trouble with my sister.
We actually got to be like that.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Y'all gotta check out our soundtrack for the movie. Yeah,
he got a really good soundtrack. Like I said, my
niece Laila is on it.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
You've always paid attention to the sou got a song
on it.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
My girl Ruby got a song on it, so you
know she's a wonderful Latina Brazilian.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
She got a great song. Bad to the Bone. We're
doing it. That's There was a joke that Kevin said
no to the movie. Is that Is that actual? That
is actual? He said no.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
The Scary movie said yeah, And I was like, because
he said he was, he was on the Netflix deal.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I wrote him a dope ass like scene and I
was like, Okayvin. He was like, I can't do a Champ.
I can't. I can't do it, Champ, You're not what
this one. I would do it, but I can't do
it Chap. And he's like, I'm under the Netflix deal.
And I was like, all right, cool, And it was
a really funny scene.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I sent that to him and he was like, I
can't do a chance and I was like, all right, bet,
that's sad.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
I guess I gotta do this joke about you. Then
you can't do it. You're joking about take that four
chairs here don't come with that. Come on, he's making
money now actne gone, shut up. Man.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
You used to have Edward James almost he was almost
Edward James. Sid not your skin clear?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
